How well (and/or poorly) would a Fuffy Cangel double date go?

I think it would be chaotic, but in a good way?

I've always believed that adult Cordy and adult Buffy would be really good friends if they'd gotten to know each other. And Angel and Faith already *are* good friends. And I'm assuming that, if Angel is with Cordy, and Buffy is with Faith, and the four of them can double date even, then BA are completely over each other and are in a mature place where they can actually be friends.

I see them setting out to do dinner and a movie but that of course going awry.

Cordy would want to try the popular new dining hot spot in LA, and would invite B and F and tell them it was 'Angel's treat' because business at AI was doing so well. Faith would be like, 'Angel's paying? We're there'. Buffy would try to be conscious of how much she was ordering because Angel was footing the bill, but Faith would order all the sides and appetizers she wanted, and Angel would look more and more constipated as his penny pinching old-man side was triggered.

Cordy would smuggle blood into the restaurant in a wine bottle so that Angel would have something to eat too.

At some point before dessert, the restaurant would be attacked by winged demons. Buffy would have to do that thing where she uses a knife to cut a slit into her very nice dress (and is not happy about it) in order to properly maneuver while fighting. Cordy would have a bunch of weapons stashed into her purse--which would be a fun call back to BTVS 1x11 when Buffy accidentally spills a bunch of weapons out of her purse in front of Cordy in the school hallway, and now Cordy's become someone who carries weapons around, too. BF and CA would both get to be the bamf battle couples they are and take out the demons.

Angel would try to get their meals comped because the restaurant was attacked and he's cheap like that.

The impromptu battle would cause them to miss the movie they were going to attend, but Cordy and Buffy would be determined not to let demons to ruin their big fancy night out, so they'd head to Caritas instead.

Cordy would pull out the emergency first aid kit she kept in Angel's car and would insist on everyone being patched up. Faith would flirt up a storm with Buffy and fully commit to her role as Faith 'Nightingale' when patching up B, but would fuss about being patched up in return. Buffy would know Faith secretly loved being fussed over because she'd gone so long without anyone caring for her and would be extra softTM with her.

When they finally got to Caritas, Buffy and Faith would hit the dance floor. Angel would be awkward and hesitant about dancing, but Cordy would be like 'I've got you, Big Guy' and would take the lead and steer him so that he didn't embarrass himself too much. They'd also slow dance a lot, no matter the temp of the song playing, because that's the kind of dancing Angel was most comfortable with. I see CA just swaying together and BF tearing it up lol.

Faith would keep ordering shots for everyone (and putting it on Angel's tab unbeknownst to him) and by the end of the night they'd be so tanked that they all did karaoke together, scarring Lorne's poor ears forevermore.

btvs | out of mind, out of sight You think I'm never lonely because I'm so cute and popular? I can be surrounded by people and be completely alone. It's not like any of them really know me. I don't even know if they like me half the time. People just want to be in the popular zone. Sometimes when I talk, everyone's so busy agreeing with me, they don't hear a word I say.
