Don’t you guys wonder how rhaenyra felt seeing alicent birth sons easily while her moth struggled, I’m not saying she wished to see alicent struggle but I’m saying she might have felt some sadness to her mother , some bitterness on her mother’s account seeing alicent having son after son healthily while her mother only had her ,seeing alicent doing the thing her mother couldn’t do.

Note: I asked for three cards, one for her as a person, one for her popularity, and one for her as the wife of his son.

What Does King Charles think of Catherine as a person?

Card One: Justice reversed

This card tells me that The King thinks Catherine is unjust towards him and towards other people and that she judges them unfairly.

The energy of this card is about what The King thinks of as part of diplomacy - little (to him) concessions that make everything smoother, and that Catherine will not make these concessions. An example that comes to mind is Catherine doing something just for PR/optics. We know from reports from her staff that she will not do this. The King thinks this is unfair and that she should do something just for PR if it makes him/the monarchy look better, He also feels, rightly or wrongly, that she judges people for making those "concessions".

I think that Princess Catherine's strong moral stance on this issue and other issues makes The King feel uncomfortable, and so he thinks she is judging him (and his wife), when all Princess Catherine is doing is staying true to her values.

What does King Charles think about the popularity of Princess Catherine?

Card Two: The Star

How does King Charles feel about Princess Catherine as the wife of his son, Prince William?

Card Three: The Four of Wands

This is a card of home, weddings, and celebration. The energy from this card is 100% approval and support. The King approves of Princess Catherine as the wife of his son. He likes how she has made a home for his son and he likes how she is bringing up his grandsons. He approves of their marriage and he approves of her role as wife/mother/homemaker. I get the feeling that he would be happier if she confined her role to that of wife and mother and did not do any of her other work and only appeared as a wife on the big occasions (Trooping the Colour, Christmas Walk etc). I think that The King feels that being a mother and supporting her husband is an appropriate role for Princess Catherine. There is an "if only she would stick to this" energy about this card.

Underlying Energy: The Nine of Cups

This is the energy that underlies the three cups above. It is a card of emotional satisfaction and luxury, success, recognition, and pleasure. The energy from this card is that King Charles thinks that Princess Catherine hit the jackpot by marrying his son. He thinks she should be very happy with her position and content with what is offered to her by the blood royals, whatever that might be.

Bonus Question: Does King Charles like Princess Catherine?

Card Four: Judgement in reverse

After I had pulled the cards for this reading, I shuffled again and asked if The King liked Princess Catherine as a person overall. Judgement reversed tells me that he does not like her as a person. Judgement is the card of Pluto, the ruling planet of Scorpio, so it can represent King Charles as he is a sun sign Scorpio, and in the reverse it says No in answer to my question. He does not like her.

This card can represent second chances and in the reverse it says that The King is not prepared to give her a second chance. I think that in the past she may have done something to upset him or made him feel bad by her moral standards, and he decided then that he did not like her and he is not going to change his mind.

This card in reverse can also represent blaming someone else for your mistakes, and I think that The King might blame Princess Catherine (and Prince William) for things that have happened to him in the past. The energy I am getting is that they said something that the late Queen listened to and approved, and as a result The King did not get his own way with respect to the issue at hand.

Conclusion:

The King might enjoy talking to Princess Catherine, and he certainly approves of her as a wife and mother, but if you asked him if he liked her the honest answer would be No. The energy I am getting is that he resents her and her popularity, her firm stance on certain things (like doing things just for the optics) makes him feel uncomfortable and makes him feel judged, and that he blames her for things that have happened to him and/or for him not getting his own way over some past issues.

EDIT: I want to add in here that I don't think that The King hates Princess Catherine or anything like that. In fact, I think he quite enjoys her company. I do think that her firm values make him uncomfortable at times, that he envies her popularity (even if he won't admit that to himself), and that he would be happier if she remained at home and was only trotted out for the big occasions. I also think that she may have refused to go along with something 'for optics' in the past, and that has upset The King. I do think that the King is classist towards her? - thinks he is better than her because he is royal and so she should gratefully accept whatever attention/honours/anything else he gives her - but I think The King is like that with everyone except other royals as well.

“Sure, but why?” Angel said, letting him in.

Well, he is the wrong one after all. He peeked at his bed, where the demon he wanted to see was. Fat Nuggets was lying and probably sleeping near him, like he wanted to be there just in case he’d wake up crying again. Sometimes Angel could swore he was a literal angel.

He groaned, he needed a few things or atleast a glass of water, but he also didn’t wanted to leave Adam alone.

It’ll be quick. Just five minutes. He got up and opened the door, checking for Lucifer. When he couldn’t see him, he rushed to the kitchen.

Lucifer waited for him to dissapear from the curtain he was hiding in, and sneaked to his room. He hoped the magic wouldn’t work since Angel wasn’t in his room.

It didn’t.

Oh but how much Lucifer would want it to do.

He sat down at the entrance. If he had to wait for the morning then he’d do it.

Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.

Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.

His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.

The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.

Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.

yknow i enjoy tedependent as much as the next guy, and i get the temptation, i truly do, but i think implying or outright saying trent imploded his career and told the truth about giving up his source only or mainly because he had romantic feelings for ted takes away from what actually happened there?? like. him being willing to throw away his career and in such a spectacular way (not just quitting but actually probably fucking his chances of working further as a journalist at all, i gather) wasn't necessarily a rom-com moment in the sense that it was for ted or about his feelings for ted alone. it was about himself, his own growing dissatisfaction with the toxic world of sports journalism and the kind of writing he was doing, the desire for "something deeper". that's not to say there's no tedependent take on this, or that hypothetical feelings for ted couldn't or didn't play a role. but like, it's also about his own character development, even if it is driven by ted (as many of the characters' developments are)

man okay so i’ve been thinking about the ending and the ways i think it’s flawed/my frustrations with it, but also why it does still work enough for me to at least not ruin the series as a whole/how it still tries to fit with the themes?? and i’ve also been applying headcanon to make it work better for me and to make me feel happier about the series overall, so if you’re curious!! take this post lol. (under the cut for length + manga spoilers for the whole series below!)

What initially bugged me about the ending most of all, and I finally managed to put it in words lol, is that there was never an explanation for how Mikey and Takemichi managed to leap back in time and fix everything. Because of that, to me, the key message of “everyone can be saved” and more importantly/centrally, “rely on your friends/don’t try and take on everything alone” gets muddied a bit?? Because it feels more like luck that things happened to work out. Like, Mikey finally puts his full trust in Takemichi and as a result - he ends up killing him!! And seemingly only manages to go back in time due to “luck”/an unexplained miracle. So the message it seems to (accidentally) send is that Mikey was right to try and take on everything alone, because when he put his trust in Takemichi he like. ended up killing him/his worst fear was confirmed??

That perspective on it was enough to put me off the series for a bit ngl, but I still love Tokyo Revengers overall - it has so much good in it that I really wanted to keep liking it, and I do think that the series isn’t completely ruined by the ending! And the main reason I’ve come to think that is because despite everything I just said... even if it’s only indirectly, it is Mikey choosing to open up to Takemichi and trusting him (by releasing his dark impulses after Takemichi said he could handle them) that led to the chain of events that triggered the happy ending. Like, in the end, he believed in Takemichi and trusted him to save him, and was rewarded for that narratively by being given the chance to time leap along with him. The message of “trusting/relying on others” is still there, in the end, even if it’s not as strong as it could’ve been as a result of the indirect way it happens. Hopefully that makes sense, and I hope it can help people come to be at peace with the ending a bit more to think about how it fits the themes of the series!

But also, as for my own reading of the ending... I’ve applied some headcanons that make it work even better for me as well, without actually contradicting canon (I hope). Headcanons are as follows:

So in my mind, Shinichiro’s curse actually had two aspects to it. The first was the punishment for choosing to kill in order to gain the power - but that punishment was technically already paid when Kazutora killed him later on. So Mikey’s curse/dark impulses was, according to this headcanon, not actually a result of Shinichiro becoming a murderer at all - most likely it was just due to the old man’s malice, wanting to hurt the people around Shinichiro as well.

Shinichiro being punished was fair, Mikey being punished for someone else’s crime wasn’t. So maybe the universe (yes, i am giving the universe some level of sentience here lol) gave Mikey a chance to break that curse, if he chose to open up about his struggles and didn’t try and take everything on alone. That could’ve been the condition for breaking the curse for any number of reasons - Mikey has always had a fixation on being “strong” and a hatred of weakness, so maybe the universe just decided that that was a suitable condition, since he’d have to overcome his flaws to do so??

Of course, predictably, Mikey did try and take it all on alone and refused to open up. And I’m not blaming him for that! He clearly thought it was both the only way to protect everyone, and was also deeply afraid of rejection from the people he loved if he actually talked about his issues - on top of letting them down/burdening them. But the point is - if you interpret the curse this way, the final time leap at the end of canon makes sense - it was because Mikey choosing to trust Takemichi to shoulder his burdens fulfilled the condition for breaking the curse. That’s still sort of  the case even without headcanons, but here it’s much more directly a result of how the curse functions to begin with, so (at least to me) it feels much less like luck that things worked out??

Hopefully that explanation made some kind of sense LOL i might just be talking nonsense or being pretentious, and if so I apologize!! But for me, I like the concept because it’s just expanding on themes that are already present in Tokyo Revengers just a little more. Personally, if I had to rely too much on headcanon to fix everything, I’d still be super dissatisfied, but since I can tell what Wakui was going for/that message of the story is still present canonically to some extent, I’ve come to feel decently satisfied with the ending overall now!

On another note, I’ve also seen people complain that the show loses impact by making Mikey’s actions a result of the supernatural and not trauma, since it turns the show from an explanation of real-life issues into just a convenient curse that explains everything. I actually think this is a completely fair criticism tbh, but I tend to imagine that what drove Mikey to violence was actually a result of the curse AND his trauma mixing together. Specifically, the curse caused the violent urges, but it was his trauma that led to him being unable to resist them, and his views on strength and weakness that led to him being unable to manage them healthily, if that makes sense??

Bro... I have this customer I learned to recognize despite her not appearing all very often, because she has really curly hair and recognizable face (very cute one).
