okay quick announcement time because this is getting on my nerves really fast lmfao:
if i blocked you, and you believe it was in error, don't comment on my posts about it?? that's just, really weird. feel free to come into my inbox with your username and ask about it, maybe it was in error, but don't harass me over it holy shit i'm going bananas. there's been a large influx of people doing this just since last night and i do NOT feel well enough to put up with it.
also, there's a few blank accounts i've been blocking even if your age is in your bio. i'm sorry, but if you don't have any posts/reblogs and your account is just empty except for an age? you look like a bot to me. i'm gonna block you. that's like, porn bot 101. i promise it's not that hard to make an introductory post or reblog something to prove you're a human being. i'll make sure to update this in my rules, but i'm gonna start leaving people blocked if no one's reading through my stuff before following me.
also, put your age in your bio!!! please! and stop harassing me when i block you because you didn't have it there!!! even a simple 20's 30+ whatever is fine!

I have watched the One Piece Live Action. It was good. It was very good. I have a complex relationship with OP and didn't expect to love it so much. I am resisting the urge to hyper-fixate. I think I might be losing.

want to give my two cents on the AI usage in the maestro trailer--
i think seventeen doing a whole concept that is anti-AI is very cool, especially as creatives themselves i think it's good that they're speaking up against it and i hope it gets more ppl talking about the issue. i also understand on a surface level the artistic choice (whether it was made by the members, the mv director, or whoever else), to directly use AI in contrast to real, human-made visuals and music in order to criticize it. i also appreciate that they clearly stated the intention of the use of AI at the beginning of the video
however, although i understand it to an extent, i do not agree with the choice to use AI to critique AI. one of the main ethical concerns with generative AI is that it is trained on other artists' work without their knowledge, consent, or compensation. and even when AI generated images are being used to critique AI, it still does not negate this particular ethical concern
the use of AI to critique also does not negate the fact that this is work that could have been done by an actual artist. i have seen some people argue that it's okay in this context because it's a critique specifically about AI, and it is content that never would have been done by a real artist anyway because it doesn't make sense for the story they're trying to tell. but i disagree. i think you can still tell the exact same story without using AI
and in fact, i would argue that it would make the anti-AI message stronger if they HAD paid an artist to draw/animate the scenes that are supposed to represent AI generated images. wouldn't it just be proof that humans can create images that are just as bad and nonsensical and soulless as AI, but that AI can't replicate the creativity and beauty and basic fucking anatomy that's in human-made art?
it feels very obvious this was not just a way to cut corners and costs like a lot of scummy people are using AI for. ultimately it was a very intentional creative decision, i just personally think it was a very poor one. and even if some ethical considerations were taken into account before this decision, i certainly don't think all of them were. at the very least i feel like the decision undermines the message they want to convey
i would also like to recognize that i myself am not an artist, and i have seen some artists that are totally on board with the use of AI in this specific context, so clearly this is not a topic that is cut and dry. but generative AI is still new, and i think it's important to keep having these conversations

there are a lot of goyim esp from other Marginalised backgrounds that are taking the wrong lessons away from the fact that it turns out that a group of primarily socialist/communist people from an extremely oppressed cultural group with deep ties to an area are in fact more than capable of founding a regional settler colonial ethnostate in that area, a state that was capable of the mass dislocation and then intergenerational imprisonment of hundreds of thousands and then millions of people, and that while many non Jews feel morally pure and free of this ideology, the reality of the situation should terrify everyone

Is it TF?
TF, as in Transformation, is a concept that can mean quite a few things to many different people- and when depicted in art or media, usually consists of some sort of physical or psychological transformation of one thing into another, often including the contexts before or after such a change occurs.
For the purposes of this blog, the assumed pretense that the TF or TF-adjacent content depicted in posts on this blog being nonsexual in this manner is considered the default, and will be treated or engaged with as such unless clarified otherwise, but there are plenty of ways those who engage in TF art can enjoy it! There are many who consider it a paraphilia for themselves and commonly enjoy it as a sexual theme, but it is also quite common for people to enjoy it entirely nonsexually, as well- perhaps exploring it under a lens of gender, as a vessel or narrative device to communicate themes, or just liking it as an unrelated special interest... TF is fascinating and alluring concept in itself, regardless of the ways it can be enjoyed and explored.
I made this blog because I love it when I see people unintentionally making TF posts on tumblr. I feel like it happens a lot and I think it's really, really funny when it does, by accident or not. Feel free to tag me in posts or send in questions asking if something is TF, and I'll give my honest answer as an expert in the field myself.
Don't forget, words to live by:
Primary tags: #this is tf, #this is tf art, #unintentional tf, #intentional tf, #definitely intentional tf, #not tf

people can use this site however they want but there's something almost- idk, sad? about how few people are actually using their blogs. you can turn themes on and have skeletons dancing in the background. you can make everything hot pink. your blog is your scrapbook and you can put whatever you want in there. tags are okay at organizing things so you can have just a whole archive of cool shit to look at later. i know people complain a lot about people liking stuff about reblogging for engagement, and on one hand i get that- it is WILD to see a drawing i spent hours on get only 12 reblogs and 60 likes. Absolute culture shock compared to my previous fandoms. but i don't think you should reblog anything to make artists happy. i think you should reblog things so you can find them again. i think you should queue things to appear on the dash at specific times on certain days. i think you should reblog things so when you're talking to your friends about xyz post you saw you can look in your blog's archive and find it again. i think you should reblog things so that your dash is filled with one really sleepy cat. with the loss of reblogs there's the loss of engagement, which Does hurt the community-focus that makes tumblr so appealing, but idk i just wish people were more excited about the incredible amount of customization that tumblr allows and took advantage of that more

god im so sorry about the situation with your sonic and tails art its always so scary when your content gets shared around and repurposed for something bad or gross. your art is fantastic! i hope your stress thins out soon
i was really freaked out when i saw it and still kind of am but thankfully it could have been much worse considering all the reposters apologized and took it down without me having to fight too hard about it (though theyre still weird as hell for doing that in the first place dont get me wrong. why are you treating my normal platonic art of brothers hugging as romantic. why are you viewing their relationship that way at all. gross).. hopefully it wont happen again

"both sides of shipcourse are wrong" says person about to not bat a fucking eye when someone on one side gets chased off the fucking internet and doxxed and told they deserve assault for liking ships that are abusive in a way they dont immediately understand/relate to.
"shipping discourse is just sooo dumb and immature" says person about to fucking gasp and scream and tell all their mutuals and post "STOP putting ***** on my dash in 202_" vagues like A Gross Drawing Existing In The World is going to singlehandedly groom and traumatize and enable and Normalize everything for everyone on the planet simultaneously for simply being put out there and it being out there is a category 10000 mental safety hazard that they must bravely defend people from.
"youre stupid if you care about ship discourse lmao" posts brave tumblr user about to get really upset publically over One person they saw shipping a like, 4-year age gap between two fictional chars that's there if you Squint, an opinion that Clearly has NOTHING to do with very specifically one side of the discourse

i think i agree with that post complaining about how we end up reducing characters to certain basic traits through incorrect quotes and memes to the point where we can forget what they're actually like, but idk.
i also think that if you do that while still keeping the source material in mind enough, vine compilations for your faves can give them more depth in a way? which sounds really dumb lmfao but i think a lot of the more lighthearted jokey posts in fandom can give insight into the more mundane day to day of the characters that you otherwise wouldn't if you hadn't matched their vibes to a dumb quote.
it's sort of the same effect of making a moodboard or playlist for them in regards to matching a vibe and getting further inspiration from what that thing adds, but less serious.

hi, no pressure but if you feel comfortable, can we get a snippet of the dick with an eating disorder fic? if not, that's totally cool and you can just delete this ask. I hope you're doing well, tho <3
nah it's fine! i feel bad for not finishing the full whumptober lineup. this was as far as i got before i called it quits lmao, but here you go:
(trigger warning for eating disorders, bulimia, vomiting, etc etc)
“I don’t know how you do it,” Steph comments, eyeing the hefty slice of devil’s food on Dick’s plate. “Every time I eat a cookie I can feel the tights getting tighter and tighter.” Despite her words, she cuts herself a big slice of cake, licking chocolate frosting off her thumb. No one can resist Alfred’s confections, superhero or not.
Dick laughs it off easily. “Perks of being a Grayson. I’ve got a fast metabolism.”
“Ugh. So jealous.” Steph eats a bite of cake, her eyes slipping closed in chocolatey bliss. “Totally worth it, though. I will gladly get fat from this cake.”
Dick snorts. “That’s why he’s the master. Excuse me.” He puts his plate down and slips away from the dessert table towards the exit at the back of the ballroom. As soon as he’s out of sight, Dick’s unfettered smile drops and he breaks into a sprint.
He locks himself in the men’s room and drops to his knees in front of the toilet. He can already feel his body absorbing all that fat and sugar like a sponge. He can feel it in his thighs and hanging off his abdomen. Sinking in, soaking up, taking every calorie and turning it into a cushion of fat.
This is routine by now. Dick doesn’t even have to think about it anymore when he shoves his fingers down his throat until his gag reflex kicks in, and everything he ate at the party makes its way right back up.
I will gladly get fat from this cake.
God, why did he need to have such a big slice? Even if he only got through half of it before running off, it still counts. The calories are still there. Why did he have to have cake at all? Dick already had three meat skewers and four cubes of cheese since the party began. God, how could he have been so careless?
He pushes his fingers deeper, encouraging his stomach to heave more, get it all out. Back to zero. It was only a few hours; surely the calories haven’t sunk in yet. He’s still okay. He made it in time.
When only bile is left, Dick lets himself catch his breath. He’s meticulous about cleaning himself up, making sure there’s not a spot on his suit, nor a hair out of place. He looks slightly pale in the mirror, but the lighting in the ballroom isn’t great anyway. No one will notice if his cheeks are a little sunken or if his eyes are a little red.
Dick turns this way and that in the mirror, examining himself from every angle. His collarbones aren’t as prominent as they should be. His wrists used to be thinner. God, he looks ginormous. He can feel the flesh weighing off his bones like he’s been stuffed with lard. There isn’t anything he can do about it now, not while he’s supposed to be a picture-perfect Wayne heir in front of all the cameras, but tonight he’ll stretch patrol longer by a few hours to fit in the extra cardio. This is fixable. It’s always fixable.
