how to transfer your old pokemon to pokemon home before it's too late!!!
the wi-fi services for the nintendo 3DS and WiiU are shutting down in early april 2024, and while it specifically lists pokemon bank and poke transporter as being available post-shutdown, there is no guarantee of how long that may be for. there will likely come a time when these services shut down, and it could be in the relatively near future.
it is also pretty much impossible now to transfer pokemon to the switch's Home service with alternative methods such as PKHeX (popular pokemon save editor for the uninformed) due to the implementation of server-side Home IDs tracking pokemon at all times - the details of that aren't super important for this post, but point is, whenever bank shuts down, unless nintendo makes an offline way to transfer to home, it will be impossible to move pokemon from the old gens to the new, even with alternative/hack-y methods.
i write this guide with the intention of making this process easier for people since transferring pokemon has changed so much over the past two decades that it's a bit of a mess, and in a timely manner to give people time to finish the process. i'll be organizing by generation so feel free to skip to any part of the guide you need. (keep in mind that transferring is permanent, your pokemon cannot go back afterwards!!)
(by the way it would mean a lot to me if you weren't overwhelmingly negative of pokemon in the tags/reblogs. i get that pokemon transferring being an online service sucks but reading that stuff in my notifications constantly is really tiring </3 make ur own post to talk about that)
to walk you through, i'll be transferring this random shiny spinda i hatched in emerald version all the way up to pokemon home. her name is Moss :]
Tumblr media
below the cut since this is long as fuck sorry LOL
GEN 1/2 -> 3 (aka RBY/GSC -> RSE/FRLG)
this is impossible! as for the Virtual Console releases of the gen 1/2 games on 3DS, more on that later in the gen 5 -> 6/7 section.
GEN 3 -> 4 (aka RSE/FRLG -> DPPT/HGSS)
what you need:
a copy of RSE or FRLG
a copy of DPPT or HGSS in the same language as the RSE/FRLG copy that has beaten the champion and has access to post-game areas, preferably HGSS because it lets you transfer unlimited times as opposed to DPPT's once-per-24-hours limit (unless you happen to have korean DPPT/HGSS, which is not language locked in terms of transferring)
either an original DS or a DS lite, the old ones with the GBA slot at the bottom
the steps:
#1. you can only transfer 6 pokemon at a time, so get whatever 6 pokemon you want to transfer up together in gen 3. if you're intending to transfer less than 6 pokemon, you'll need to catch some extras since you have to transfer the full 6 every time (i usually just catch a bunch of extra mons on the first route, which is what i've done here with the poochyenas/wurmples)
Tumblr media
#2. put the gen 3 game into the GBA slot of the DS, and the gen 4 game into the DS slot. both games should appear on the home menu after turning on the DS.
#3. load the DS game and spam A past the title screen. before loading your save, scroll down. you should see a "MIGRATE FROM (GAME NAME HERE)" option. if you don't, either the GBA game isn't reading properly, or you have not visited Pal Park in your gen 4 game of choice. in HGSS, the Pal Park is located in Fuchsia City, and in DPPT, the Pal Park is located at the end of Route 221 below Sandgem Town.
Tumblr media
#4. select the aforementioned migration option and pick the pokemon you want to transfer.
#5. navigate to the Pal Park and complete the Catching Show, where you re-catch your transferred pokemon in the wild. this does not overwrite what pokeballs they were originally caught in! you will need to bring a pokemon with Surf if you have any Pokemon that spawn in the water areas. you can check what location the pokemon you transferred will be in on bulbapedia.
Tumblr media
#6. say yes to storing the caught pokemon in your PC boxes and they'll be there!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
important things to note:
pokemon with HM moves will be blocked from transfer, so make sure to use the Move Deleter to remove HM moves from any pokemon you're transferring in gen 3 before trying to transfer. in RSE, the Move Deleter is in Lilycove City, and in FRLG they are in Fuchsia City.
gen 3 -> 4 is the only step in the transfer process where held items transfer up as well, meaning that if you attach a valuable item such as a rare candy, master ball, or TM to a transferred pokemon, you can take it off that pokemon and put it in your bag in the gen 4 game.
an aside about colosseum/XD gale of darkness on gamecube:
you can transfer pokemon from colo/XD as well! unfortunately you'll need to have beaten colo/XD, and then you will also need to beat the gen 3 game... in FRLG, you even have to complete the postgame ruby/sapphire quest on the sevii islands to unlock trading with the gamecube games. once you do all that though, you can navigate to the pokemon center basement in Phenac City to trade with your gen 3 GBA title. to do this, you'll need a gamecube or wii with gamecube compatibility, a GBA (or GBA SP), and a GCN -> GBA link cable to connect the two consoles.
GEN 4 -> 5 (aka DPPT/HGSS -> BW/BW2)
what you need:
a copy of DPPT/HGSS
a copy of BW or BW2 in the same language as DPPT/HGSS copy that has beaten the champion (or N in the original BW) and has access to post-game areas.
two DS consoles of any kind (3DS is also fine!)
the steps:
#1. get the pokemon you want to transfer together in your gen 4 game's PC boxes. you can only transfer 6 pokemon at a time. if you have less than 6, catch some extra pokemon, since you need to transfer the full 6 every time. save it and turn off the DS with the gen 4 game.
#2. turn on your gen 5 game and navigate to the Poke Transfer Lab. personally i just fly to Black City/White Forest and head west.
Tumblr media
#3. talk to the NPC in the lab to start the transfer process. you will be prompted to turn on your other DS again and open DS Download Play with your gen 4 game inserted. do that and download the Poke Transfer app that comes up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#4. select the 6 Pokemon you want to transfer when prompted.
#5. play the transfer minigame! just drag the... bow? (lol) on the bottom screen to aim your pokeballs. there's technically a time limit, but it's very generous, and your final score doesn't matter.
Tumblr media
#6. say yes to transferring the pokemon once you're done and they'll be placed in your PC boxes!
Tumblr media
important things to note:
pokemon with HM moves will be blocked from transfer, so make sure to use the Move Deleter to remove HM moves from any pokemon you're transferring in gen 4 before trying to transfer. in DPPT they're in Canalave City, and in HGSS they're in Blackthorn City.
the level the pokemon was obtained at and the date it was obtained is changed upon transfer to gen 5 - it will have the met date of your DS clock and the met level of the level it was at the time of transfer. if you'd like to preserve a pokemon's met date, make sure to change the DS clock to the proper date.
GEN 5 -> 6/7 (aka BW/BW2 -> 3DS TITLES/BANK)
what you need:
a copy of BW/BW2
a copy of any 3DS pokemon game (XY/ORAS/SUMO/USUM)
a 3DS (or 2DS, i'll just be referring to them all as 3DSes here) with the poke transporter and pokemon bank apps installed. these were free apps that were once downloadable from the 3DS eShop, but the 3DS eShop is no longer available, so if you don't already have them installed you will need to explore alternate methods, AKA hacking your 3DS and injecting them in. that's outside the scope of this guide but you can find more information here on 3ds.hacks.guide. (do not attempt to follow any 3DS hacking guide not on this website, they could be outdated and harm your 3DS!)
a nintendo network ID that your 3DS is logged into (also outside the scope of this guide but if you don't already have one, it will prompt you during the process to make one)
internet connection
the steps:
#1. poke transporter defaults to trying to transfer every pokemon located in Box 1 of your PC, so go into your gen 5 game and put every pokemon you want to transfer into Box 1, and take anything you don't want to transfer out. if you want to transfer more pokemon than you can fit in one box, you'll have to transfer multiple times.
Tumblr media
#2. open poke transporter with your gen 5 game inserted into the 3DS' cartridge slot. after pressing A through some menus and selecting the gen 5 game when prompted, it should ask if you want to transfer the pokemon in Box 1, with a preview of the pokemon inside. confirm and let it do its thing. after poke transporter is finished, the pokemon you transferred will be in the special Transport Box in bank.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#3. make sure you either have a 3DS pokemon title downloaded onto your 3DS, or swap out your gen 5 cart for one, it doesn't matter which.
#4. close out of poke transporter and navigate to pokemon bank. at the time of writing this guide, bank is still online and is free for everyone without a subscription - the main menu has an infinite "free trial" period number.
#5. select "use pokemon bank" and pick a 3DS game to connect with when prompted. it doesn't matter which one, but if you're looking to see your pokemon in a gen 6/7 game right now, pick the one you want to move it into. viewing a pokemon in a gen 6/7 game isn't required to move to home later, though!
#6. the Transport Box is located one box to the left of Box 1 - navigate to it and drag your pokemon out into a normal bank box. now you can move them to any gen 6/7 pokemon game you want, or home later!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
important things to note:
even though bank connects with both gen 6 and gen 7 games, once you place a pokemon into a gen 7 game (SUMO/USUM), you cannot transfer that pokemon back to a gen 6 game (XY/ORAS), so be careful!
an aside about the VC releases of RBY/GSC:
poke transporter can also be used to transfer pokemon out of the VC releases of RBY/GSC. these pokemon are changed pretty heavily, converting all their old gen data into pokemon's modern data structure. you can find more information about all the changes/conversions made on bulbapedia. these pokemon are considered gen 7 pokemon afterwards, and cannot be moved into XY/ORAS. pokemon with held items also cannot be transferred from VC titles and will fail to transfer.
if you want to transfer pokemon from cartridge RBY/GSC and have a save dumping device, it is possible to inject the cartridge's save file into the VC versions with Checkpoint on a hacked 3DS and then transfer that way. for GSC specifically, you'll need to edit your save slightly to make it compatible with VC GSC's save format. i personally made a converter for that here that you're free to use in-browser.
GEN 6/7 -> GEN 8+ (aka BANK -> HOME)
what you need:
a 3DS (or 2DS, i'll just be referring to them all as 3DSes here) with the pokemon bank app installed. this was a free app that was once downloadable from the 3DS eShop, but the 3DS eShop is no longer available, so if you don't already have it installed you will need to explore alternate methods, AKA hacking your 3DS and injecting it in. that's outside the scope of this guide but you can find more information here on 3ds.hacks.guide. (do not attempt to follow any 3DS hacking guide not on this website, they could be outdated and harm your 3DS!)
a nintendo network ID that your 3DS is logged into (also outside the scope of this guide but if you don't already have one, it will prompt you during the process to make one)
a switch with Pokemon Home installed, which can be downloaded for free from the switch's eShop. a nintendo switch online subscription is not required.
unfortunately, you WILL need a subscription to home's premium plan to do bank -> home transfers.
internet connection
the steps:
#1. open pokemon bank and make sure all the pokemon you want to transfer are in their own boxes, and any you don't want to transfer are not in the same boxes as the to-be-transferred pokemon.
Tumblr media
#2. go back to the bank home menu and select the "move pokemon to pokemon home" option. when you get the notice about the transfer being one-way, you'll need to scroll down to hit "Begin".
Tumblr media
#3. you will be prompted to select what boxes of pokemon you'd like to transfer, so pick all the applicable ones.
Tumblr media
#4. you will then be prompted to put in the moving key from home, so turn on your switch, open pokemon home, and select the icon that looks like a 3DS on the main menu. when prompted, choose "Ready!" to get the moving key.
#5. input the moving key on the 3DS, submit it, and wait for both apps to do their thing. once bank goes back to its title screen, you can turn off the 3DS.
Tumblr media
#6. home will go back to its title screen as well, and depending on how many pokemon you moved, you may have to wait a few minutes to get back into the app. once it's done, the next time you open home, it'll prompt you to choose how to organize your transferred pokemon into home. pick whatever you see fit.
#7. congratulations, your pokemon are safe in home!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
important things to note:
unlike all pokemon games before the switch, pokemon can actually go backwards in generation on switch, so don't worry about transferring a pokemon into scarlet/violet locking you out of moving it to sword/shield, for example. (the exception to this is LGPE - nothing can be moved into LGPE and once a pokemon is moved out of LGPE, it can't go back.)
pokemon home actually has decent hack checks, so be careful when transferring hacked/glitched/otherwise illegitimate pokemon around.
pokemon from a gen 3/4 game will have their met location set to "Poke Shifter" - this is an alternative translation of the japanese name for the Poke Transporter.
pokemon on switch can only transfer into games that contain that pokemon in its dex, so not everything transferred can go into scarlet/violet, for example.
and that's it!!
there's a lot of other quirks to the pokemon transferring process at pretty much all steps, so if you run into an unusual issue or have specific questions about how pokemon data is changed in minute ways across the franchise, i would encourage you to do your own research, all of this stuff is pretty heavily documented by the fanbase. this is just meant to be a guide for casual users, and a quick reference.
this guide of course does not cover options for transferring in alternative ways, but it's worth mentioning that if you have a hacked 3DS and the ability to back up save files at any point from gens 3 -> 5, you can use PKHeX to transfer pokemon into the 3DS titles, then move them to bank and transfer to home normally from there. that's outside the scope of this guide and i'd also encourage you to do your own research for that.
happy transferring!

Hello, I hope I am not disturbing you. Your writings are great. If you are getting requests, can you write for yandere husband Pollux Black, Crygnus Black, Orion Black, Alphard Black, Severus Snape, Gellert Grindelwald, Aberfort Dumbledore, Albus Dumbledore? Please
You're not bothering me at all! I love requests! Here are your husbands lol
Characters: Pollux Black, Cygnus Black, Orion Black, Alphard Black, Severus Snape, Gellert Grindelwald, Aberforth Dumbledore, and Albus Dumbledore
TWs: Yandere Content, implications of forced sex, implications of forced pregnancy
Pollux Black
There was no denying it. Pollux was drunk out of his mind.
He'd always carried himself with guilt. A twin who's brother died in the womb. The firstborn son of his father, thus complicit in whatever he wanted, in order to keep his place in the family. He was man who's back was so spineless that it should've curled in on himself already. A disappointment, not proving himself better than Arcturus and not securing the switch in power between his branch of the family and Arcturus'.
But he was you husband, and you had to stick by his side.
"Baby," He crooned in you ear, "You know I love you. You know your the only one for me."
"I am aware."
"Oh, darling I need you, there's no one else for me." He continues, "Love is just what keeps me going. And love is just you in that dress."
"Is that some song?"
"Loving you is just what I do best..."
You take the cup from his hand and slip him out of his formal robes. The reception is over. Cassiopeia got out of this family and is married to someone who loves her. You wish you could say the same.
"It's how I feel, darling." Pollux continues, "I can't stand to see people around you."
"I'm all yours, Pollux." You tell him, "I'm all yours."
"When are you going to act like it then." He whines as more layers get removed between the two of you. You've holed up in the main manor, in one of the side rooms. Pollux is too drunk to apparate or use the floo network. And nobody in the Black Family would dare be seen riding the Knight Bus.
"I do act like it." You tell yourself, "I'm yours, Pollux."
"You don't say I love you. You recoil from my touch. You refuse to call me anything other than my first name." Pollux's tone gets serious, "You don't act like you love me."
"I love you." You tell him.
He grabs your shoulders and throws you onto the bed with him, "Then start acting like it."
"Pollux—" You tried to put some distance between the two of you, "Pollux, wait."
"No." His tone was much more sober, even if he was still slurring his words, "No. You are mine. Quit acting like you're not."
"Please—" You start but he interrupts you, "No! No. You are my wife. You shall act like it."
"I do!" You try to get back onto your feet, "I do!"
"I am your husband and you are my wife." He says, "We shall be one. We shall grow ourselves—our family."
What he means dawns on you and you know that this was always a part of your marriage contract, but you believed that by the time it happened, you'd be in love with him.
You tried and your tried but the light are off and the curtain is closing. This performance is over and act two's about to begin. This time, with a proper pureblood family from the two of you.
Cygnus Black
Cygnus was raised as a righteous man. He has a duty to the family—to live long and prosper. And he wanted to do that with you. Second-born son of the second-born line, he wasn't close to leading the family, even in his wildest dreams.
But he could lead his own family. And he wanted to create that family and that legacy with you and you alone.
"Spin." Your dress robes shimmered with the brightness of the stars themselves, the glimmer bouncing off of them in the waves of your turns, shining as bright as you do.
You don't say anything to him as he takes in your figure. You need to be perfect for him. It is your wedding day, after all.
"Muggles wait to see what they're partner is wearing until they are right in front of them." Cygnus notes, "What fools they are."
"How do you know what muggles do at weddings?" You try to laugh, tease him so that this moment isn't as daunting for you.
"Because I do." Cygnus growls, "Don't question your husband."
"You're not my husband yet." You laugh weakly for your own sake. Cygnus has always been quick to anger, quick to contempt. Hopefully you're quicker—especially than he is at action.
"Look at me." He grabs your arm and squeezes until all of the blood rushes from the hold, "You do not question me. I am your husband. It would behoove you to learn that quickly."
"Alright." You rub your wrist, comforting yourself, "I understand."
"I'll train you up. Don't worry." He says, "You'll learn before our children are born. You'll be an optimal parent. You'll be the perfect spouse. I'll make sure of it."
Somehow, you silently note, that you know that you'll never be as perfect as he needs, no matter how much he teaches and you endure.
Orion Black
Orion Black looked at you with a gaze so sharp it could pierce your body and soul. His straight black hair was combed neatly. His eyes were concrete grey and he kept his face just with the hints of what his beard could be if he didn't shave it regularly. His suit was crisp and clean and his shoes shined like motor oil.
He was well dressed and angry at something. And he was looking at you to fix it.
You took the initiative, silently accio-ing a bottle and a glass, pouring him a drink and then handing it to him. "Rough day?"
He takes the glass you offer, "News you won't like."
"What is it?" You ask, "I can handle it."
"I know, darling. You're so strong for me." Orion takes a sip of the drink and bridges the gap between the two of you, taking your hands into his, "They know the gender of Druella's baby."
The realization dawns on you, "Another girl."
"Yes," He offers you a sympathetic smile, "You've always been bright."
"I don't think coming to that conclusion took much brain power."
"I talked with my grandfather. He's expecting us to pick up the slack."
"Have the heir." You fill in.
Orion nods.
"No." You put your foot down, "That was the deal. I was to stay with you, play the perfect Black Family Wife and I would remain financed, protected, and untouched."
"That was if Cygnus was able to have a male heir." Orion says, "Do you think that I want to go back on that arrangement?"
"Then don't!"
"And have Bellatrix be the next Head of the Black Family?" Orion asks, "I'm already set up to be heir. It was always expected of me."
"It's not going to be expected of me."
"Yes it was." Orion's grip tightens, "We are already wed. You are mine. You cannot leave. Now you can do this the easy way, or I'll imperio you."
"You wouldn't."
He looks you in the eye and reaches for his wand. He doesn't say the words outright, but you made a deal with the devil so he wouldn't hurt you further. And maybe you will have to slide back on that deal a bit. But if you didn't, he'd take it painfully. And he would feel as if he could take more and more out of you.
You can keep some semblance of control this way. And what's one kid in the grand scheme of things?
Alphard Black
Alphard Black loved you to the moon and back. He was Hephaestus and you were Aphrodite, but like the mythical husband and wife, you were not loyal.
No, you'd found your Ares.
A muggleborn, in fact. Some man in the French Ministry of Magic who's been in Britain working on a project. Alphard didn't care who he was or what he done, except for when it was with you.
He used muggle means of subduing him. He's always been fascinated in the magicless. After all, he took you as his wife, even after his family threatened him.
It took all of his convincing to prove that you'd be a good partner, despite being a squib. You can still produce magical children after all. And he's not of the main line anyways.
But you had to go and fuck it up, didn't you?
He has your man tied up in a chair in the parlor, stripped of his wand and his clothing. He was still out cold and you came running when your darling husband told you oh, so sweetly that he had a surprise for you.
He stands over and behind your passed out lover. He's able to see your face when you notice what's gone on. And he can see the horror on your face as you see his manic smile.
"Alphie... what did you do?" You take a step closer, kneeling in front of your lover, "Alphie! What are you doing!"
"Don't Alphie me, sweetheart." He replies, "I saved you from a horrid life in the muggle world and this is how you repay me? By fucking some muggleborn swine!"
"Alphie, it's not what you think..."
"No, baby, it is what I think." He says, "I've been working and you've had a bit too much free time. So you took a man who would give you that attention. I'm sorry, darling. But I'll give you the attention you deserve."
"Alphie, please!" You try to reason with him, but he grabs a knife, "You can't do this!"
"Oh but I can. Knife to the head, incendio for the corpse, and aguamenti to put out the flames. It's simple, really."
You try to run to your lover, standing with him so that if Alphard was to light him ablaze, he'd have to do so to you as well. But Alphard casts a spell you don't recognize and you fall to the floor as you loose consiousness.
You come too as the fire dies down. Your lover no more than ashes. Alphard has himself pressed against your back, arms around your waist. He's singing the song at your wedding and it dawns on you:
You can never escape. You will never escape. The world that you admired so much and was desperate to be a part of you had a chokehold on you so strong that you were unable to leave it, even if you wanted to.
Severus Snape
You were in this marriage for your own personal protection.
The Snape name wasn't known as a Wizarding name just yet, but Severus was a halfblood. He could trace his lineage.
You could not, on account of being a muggleborn.
Honestly, with how Severus acted, you'd wished a death eater would take you out already. It wasn't nearly as torturous as being the wife to such an insufferable man.
"Darling," His slow manner of speaking irritated you, as if you couldn't handle him speaking any faster than this, "You mustn't linger about like that. You seem unhappy."
"And what if I am unhappy?"
"With the favor I have provided you?" He asks, "It would be foolish of you."
"Then call me a fool."
In all honesty, he was right. Staring out the window in the muggle home the two of you shared wasn't healthy for you. It only served to remind you of the home and happiness that you have since lost.
You change the subject, "How is your lord faring?"
"Better, now that he's decided on whomst his biggest threat is."
"Not Albus Dumbledore?"
"No, not Albus Dumbledore." Severus won't tell you more than that and you do not push the matter.
"Anything interesting in the potions you've been making?"
"No." He replies, "It is all the basics for getting a potions mastery. I will have to show it to the Potions Mastery Committee, down at the Ministry."
"You're heading into London?"
"I was planning on flooing, actually."
"Pick me up a new book." You turn to look at him, seeing him flip through the pages of his own book, "I've finished the last in that series and I want something of a similar author."
"Alright." He replies, not looking up at you. You look at his face, still ever-present in his book.
You suppose that he could be worse. He could be active in this situation, not just complacent in your slow torment under this roof. He could lay an unjust hand on you. He could treat you like the other wives of Death Eaters.
There is a mercy in how he acts. There is love in his distance.
You could reciprocate it, you could let it grow and blossom. But for now, you let the waves splash softly against the sand that is the foundation of your relationship with the man.
Gellert Grindelwald
Gellert Grindelwald doesn't love you.
The truth of the matter is that he's never loved anyone, only having obsessions. And, for all of his life, he's only been obsessed with two individuals: Albus Dumbledore—and you.
The fact that you have something in common with Albus Dumbledore makes you laugh. Him, one of the greatest wizards of all time, and you, a witch with so much self-loathing you almost formed an obscurus.
Almost, being the key word. For Gellert Grindelwald made it certain that you would not succumb to this deadly affliction, that you would find love within yourself and the world and its magic, so that you would keep on living.
And, it was all so he can keep you funneled away, hidden from the rest of the world in a small flat near Godric's Hollow.
It's embarrassing really, how quickly you fell for him. And yet, he does not love you, even after all that he did to make you love him.
You just stare off into the fireplace, awaiting his arrival. Because he's the only thing that keeps you from slipping into that state again. He's the only thing that brings you joy.
Aberforth Dumbledore
Aberforth wasn't the gloriest of husbands you could of had.
In all honesty, you befriended him to get closer to Albus. That was the real catch, your mother told you. Handsome, intelligent, hardworking—the world was falling at his feet and you could've been the woman smiling by his side, perfectly cared for and content while he tool the Wizarding World by storm.
But Aberforth had to actually take a liking to you, one he took violently, one that tarnished your reputation afterwards.
One thing lead to another and there was a child between the two of you. Aberforth made you an honest woman and you got yourself stuck with a child you didn't want, a job you hated, and a husband you hated even more.
At least nobody cares about what you did, out of wedlock. It's been decades now. You and Aberforth are over a century old. So is Albus.
And even if you can't call Albus Dumbledore yours, you still get to be near him and bask in his intellect. You two are friends, even if you always wanted to be something more.
Albus Dumbledore
He was an odd man. Never violent, even if you wished he would be.
He was kind, wise, put love as the forefront of everything, even though you didn't love him.
You didn't even like him. No, you were filled with pure, unadulterated hatred for your husband.
He's a gentle man. Smart, intelligent, caring. He keeps to himself on most occasions and lets you roam the walls of Hogwarts freely, just like you did, when the two of you were students.
You remember him well, you suppose. Back then, he wasn't like this. Back then, he was easier to endure. Back then, your dislike of him was validated.
Now, he's the war hero and headmaster of the greatest wizarding school in the world. He's saved countless of lives and mentored everyone who's walked through the walls of Hogwarts for the past century or so.
And it's exhausting, staying by his side. You're expected to be a proud person, prideful in your husband's work and all he has done, joyful in how the Dumbledore name has flourished and grateful for the man you've married.
But you are not here willingly. You would not have joined his side by choice.
You honestly hope Minister Fudge finds a way to oust him. Maybe his crimes in the wars will be released. Maybe he'll keel over and die already.
Because being the partner to such a perfect man is exhausting. Especially when you're the only one who sees all of his flaws.

Oooooh I wanna make a comic about Morro discovering his true potential so bad
But brain small and smooth and can’t think of what his obstacle to overcome could be
Like yeah obviously, it would be learning that he wasn’t meant to be the green ninja and he won’t be able to get that title, and that’s okay! But it’s very similar to what Kai’s potential was (which btw side note, after seeing other people share their interpretation and thoughts on Kai, I too like to believe that the true meaning behind his potential is “I am enough, and I won’t be seen as any less if I don’t become the green ninja”), and I really want to tie in to how he could’ve still had a good life if only he hadn’t been so hellbent on finding the realm crystal
So maybe it could be something like “I am imperfect, I am broken, I have been hurt by others and I too have hurt others, but longing for something that I cannot achieve will not fix me or anything else; I took for granted what I had, I left the one person who truly cared about me, I sought out what I thought would fill the cracks that have formed throughout the years, but it only broke me further. I cannot change my past, I cannot go back to what I had, nor can I go back to who I was. But I can try and build a better future for myself. Despite all the pain, anger, fear and loss, I can still rebuild myself, and perhaps someday, these old scars will fade, and I will feel a little more human. Despite it all, I can still heal.”
Maybe idk, I’d love to hear what everyone else has to say <3

I just found out today that my great grandmother was 16 years younger than my great grandfather. 1895 vs 1909. He was on the run from the in-Italy Italian mafia, left a wife and family there, married in Canada and left a wife and family there, then came down to the USA and started my branch of the tree. He had an odd funeral.
I’m not sure when my Great Grandmother immigrated, but she would’ve been 20 when the Great Depression hit. And because it was post WWI Germany, she was probably not in a good place fiscally.
So Imagine.
You come to America, some year very close to the beginning of the Depression. Maybe to find a job, maybe to find a husband with citizenship* and you meet this nearly 40 year old man and marry him. And then he proceeds to forbid you from ever speaking German again. Any mention of your original culture gets punished. My family has no known German traditions**.
By 25 you have two daughters that your husband has terrorized so much that both rush into marriages rather than have to live by their father’s rules a second longer. The first marries relatively well, the second marries my grandfather.
Your husband dies at age 76, which isn’t bad for someone who was born in the 1800s. He has a joint headstone, one that will tie your bodies together until your bones rot and the stones erode. But you’re 60 and don’t live with either of your daughters. Maybe because those years of terror in your house. Maybe because of shame. I don’t know. But my grandmother converts to Catholicism because her religious upbringing “… felt so empty and she liked the ceremony inherent to that faith.” (-my mother). You don’t spend much time with your grandchildren.
Your second baby has several miscarriages, several successful pregnancies, and then a living grandchild dies in an accident. Did moving here really help your descendants? She adopts two children and gives birth to my mother within a few months of your grandson’s death, and a few years later, my aunt. They’re your only granddaughters. By all accounts, she is never the same again.
Then your first baby dies. She’s 46 and living in America and has everything you could have ever wanted for her. But she dies slowly and painfully from cancer. Were you around to comfort her and her two sons as she slipped away? You were certainly alive then, but I don’t know.
Your second baby loses her husband, my grandfather, a few years later, and her family struggles financially, hundreds of miles away. She marries again, and divorces the jerk quickly after. You’re 71, is there much you can do?
In the same year, your youngest grandchild is 12 and you become a great grandmother. Do you meet this child? She’s the daughter of one of the adopted sons, does this matter to you?
You die at 79, in 1988. Germany is still split from a war you never saw. You’ve spent more life in this strange land than you ever did there. People come to America more and more in planes, not boats. Your granddaughter tells her daughter that she went to your funeral but only ever spoke to you once or twice. There’s a picture of you standing on American docks for the first time but no one knows where it is. And you’re buried under an American spelling of your name, next to that old bastard that you married.
It’s 2003 and America is convinced it’s having the worst time ever. Your second daughter works herself to the bone and dies before age 70. She worked herself to the bone. Most of her grandchildren met her, but few have memories. She and I were apparently best friends, but seeing as I was 2, I don’t remember her now. Your eldest granddaughter, my mother, is going through a rough divorce to a man who immigrated to America by accident***. A very different immigrant story to yours. In that same year, your first great-grandchild has a son.
Three years later, she marries and has a son with a Black man. Your youngest great-grandchild. Your daughter would have loved him, and her husband would have not. Would you have cared? You left Germany right around when the Nazis came to power. Would he just be one more baby to love?
17 years later, it’s 2023, and your eldest granddaughter has a rough day, so she visits her mother’s grave. Both of your daughters are buried nearby, perhaps closer in death to you than in life. She finds your grave, and realizes the age difference between you and your husband for the first time. She shares this information with her daughter.
Me. And now I’m posting on the internet while I lay in bed, avoiding my studies. I wonder if you knew this, would you still make the same choices? Would you feel that it was worth it? Would my fate, so tangential to yours, be precious enough that you would feel compelled to do this all again?
*(I think my mom mentioned she married quickly once she arrived but I’m not sure. She might have been a mail-order bride)
**to be fair, he also really tried to acclimatize to American culture, and only allowed English to be spoken in his house, and raised his kids Protestant, but my family still makes Italian food occasionally, sooooo I doubt that rule was equally enforced.
***My English grandparents divorced and my grandfather eventually moved to America. My dad and, at the time, his only siblings, came over to visit because America was still considered to be pretty cool. He was 13. My Nanny wanted more alimony, so she tried to do a fake out and telegraphed my grandfather to ‘keep the kids’. My Grandad called her bluff and kept the kids.
My Dad was very lucky this worked out for him. He gets away with a lot of things because he’s English in the USA

SOMETIMES i get a little sad (only a little) about how my undertale s/i has nothing to do with the events in undertale whatsoever, and just. have no idea nor could never fully understand what frisk and everyone else went through down there. like, sure, they can tell stories and possibly even visit the underground (i assume some monsters wanted to stay down there, too) but like. they have no way of grasping everything that happened to everyone. and im happy with my s/i the way it is so i guess there could POSSIBLY be an au where they fall down WITH frisk and go through the story together, but. well that has a lot of plot holes LOL
#cherry chats#NOT THAT PLOT HOLES MATTER AT ALL LMFAO#i just like to be Concise#so like. its an au that works in theory if i dont think about it too much.#but either way its part of my self inserts universe that they dont fully understand everything that happened#like thats kinda........ a huge part in their relationship with all the others#esp with sans who was to a certain extent aware of resets (i mentioned the growing deja vu in that other post a little while ago)#and a big part in us coming to trust and understand each other better was when he told me about that#(dont ask why i just switched from talkin abt my s/i in third to first person just now btw)#and a really important part of that was the fact that i couldnt ever fully grasp what he meant or how that would feel but still#believing him and comforting him about it. cause he thought he was making no sense at all#and i dont even wanna imagine what would happen if TWO human souls entered the underground at the SAME TIME#ALONG with flowey who i assume would still be able to reset#cause i imagine any human would be able to reset due to having significantly stronger souls while also being trapped behind a magic barrier#thereby making their access to their soul along with its powers much much easier#while most humans dont even know they HAVE a soul. so utilizing the powers in this new world MADE of magic would take like 0 effort#i assume this is also why flowey can reset cause in a way he still holds charas soul (kinda)#UMM THIS ISNT WHAT I WAS GONNA TALK ABOUT AND ITS 7:30AM LOL. UMMM. I BET IM RUNNING OUT OF TAGS TOO#OK WELL IM DONE NOW I REALIZED I HAVE WAY TOO RICH A FICTION IN THE SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION OF SOULS AND MAGIC IM SURE I COULD GO ONFOR AGES#IF TUMBLR CUTS OFF HALF MY TAGS AND I END UP MAKING NO SENSE BTW. WELL THATS JUST HOW THE COOKIE CRUMBLES I GUESS#LMFAO BYE

Pairing: OPLA!Vinsmoke Sanji x Reader Word Count: 831 words Warnings: None
Tumblr media
reverie (noun): a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream
You imagine the thoughts in your head as a forest of kelp at the bottom of the sea: dense, beautiful, brimming with life and all too easy to get lost in.
They’ve caused you trouble in the past. Countless rapped knuckles, letters sent home to your parents, walking into trees on the way home from school. But how could you resist? Empires rose and fell over the course of an hour inside your mind, mighty beasts swore their allegiance to you and the four seas were yours to explore. The childhood you had in the real world was so dull and lonely in comparison.
When you ran off and joined the Straw Hats, you finally had the excitement you had so craved. And yet, even now, your mind still wanders.
“If you swab the deck any more, we won’t have any left, sweetheart.”
Only a select few can bring you back.
You blink rapidly, the clouds dissipating as you stop scrubbing and look up. Sanji’s already smiling when you meet his gaze.
He lifts his hands; one offers a plate of shortbread cookies, the other a glass of milk.
“I’m going to guess that you haven’t had a break in a while,” he says. “Am I right?”
A break? Sending him a perplexed frown, you lean on the handle of your scrub brush and glance over your shoulder.
The side on which you had started winks back at you from afar, wood gleaming under the afternoon sun.
Oh.
“I … I guess so,” you reply slowly, turning back to him. It’s only then that you register the saltwater washing over your feet and the ache in your muscles. “I didn’t even realize …”
He shakes his head and chuckles, leading you to some nearby crates to sit down. “Too caught up in your stories again? I’m almost jealous that they get to spend so much time with you.”
“I don’t mean to make you worry.”
“Loving someone means worrying about them from time to time.”
He winks, and you smile, flustered.
“I see,” you say quietly. “Then thank you for worrying, Sanji.”
“Of course.” He hands you the glass of milk, then picks up a cookie and taps it against your lips. “Now, this is my best batch of sablés. You have no idea how hard it was to keep Luffy from eating them all in the kitchen.”
“I have some idea,” you drawl amusedly, taking a bite.
The cookie breaks with a gentle snap. It crumbles delightfully in your mouth, sugar and butter dancing on your tongue. A pleased hum rumbles in your throat before you wash it down with a gulp of cold milk.
“What do you think?”
“I think I might eat the whole plate right now,” you say, taking the other half of the cookie.
He grins. “So you like them.”
“They’re delicious.” Picking up another one, you hold it in front of his face. “Here.”
Sanji’s gaze remains locked with yours as he leans forward to take a bite of the cookie, his lips brushing your fingertips in an impromptu kiss before he pulls away. He chews thoughtfully. The action should not look as good as it does.
“My best batch, as I’ve said,” he tells you once he swallows. “But I’ve tasted sweeter.”
You tilt your head. “Where?”
His mouth curls into a smirk, and he places his fingers under your chin to bring your face closer to his. Your noses touch and you can feel his answer against your lips as he murmurs, “Right here.”
The rest of the crew may also have the pleasure of eating Sanji’s food, but they do not share your privilege of knowing just how talented he is at kissing.
He sets down the plate and lifts his hand to cup your jaw, meeting your lips and letting out a soft sigh before pressing his lips more fervently against yours. You can taste the smoke on his tongue, a constant underneath the warm sweetness of sugar and the saltiness of butter. Your eyes flutter closed, and you reach up to cradle the back of his head, fingers tangling in his hair and tugging slightly. The groan he lets out sends tingles down to the tips of your toes.
“Sweetheart,” he pants, and the longing in his voice would’ve made your knees buckle if you were standing, “I won’t be able to stop if you keep doing that.”
You put your glass of milk down so you can bury both hands in his golden hair. Your forehead touches his. “Maybe that’s a good thing.”
“Maybe it is,” he mutters.
You bring him back in for another searing kiss that Sanji returns just as eagerly.
Yes, you value your time alone with your thoughts. They are a forest of kelp at the bottom of the sea, beautiful, countless, and wild.
But as easy as it is to get lost in your thoughts, it is infinitely easier to get lost in him.

Interlude: Six Becomes Five
Prologue | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
Tumblr media
The gentle crackle of the fire, admist the soft crickets chirping, was all the noise coming from the camp. Gingerbrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, and Carameleon Cookie were all sleeping soundly, light snores coming from them.
Nearby, you rested with White Lily Cookie nearby, soft breath coming from your mouth.
Pure Vanilla Cookie sat in front of the fire, staring at it with an unreadable expression in his face. Wind gently blowed and rustled his hair for a moment, not held down by his hat. That and his staff rested on the tree near you.
Pure Vanilla Cookie didn't know what to think now that things had truly settled down.
He still felt.. lied to, in a sense. Not by you, or White Lily Cookie, but by Shadow Milk Cookie. The taunts and lies of the Cookie still swirled in his mind like toxic waste, gripping at him and drowning him.
That.. and he couldn't get your look out of his mind. The expression on your face when Shadow Milk Cookie had slammed you against a wall. The look of horror, shock, and terror before you fell unconscious.
It made him feel sick. The healing spells he desperately tried to cast before Shadow Milk Cookie chased them off still made him feel lightheaded.
He looked at his trembling hands. He exhaled shakily, clenching them.
Are you awake still?
He jolted at the sound of the Light of Compassion. "Ah!" He then exhaled to calm himself and his trembling. "C-Compassion. You surprised me."
Don't try and lie. I'm a part of you currently, Pure Vanilla Cookie.
Pure Vanilla Cookie paused before he pulled his knees to his chest. "I can't get their face out of my mind." He swallowed thickly. "How they looked when they slammed into that wall, I.." His hands came up to run through his hair. "I thought Shadow Milk Cookie had crumbled them."
Primordials are far harder to kill than your mind allows you to realize.
Pure Vanilla Cookie gave a small nod, but he was still trembling. He was too far in his own thoughts to even notice the footsteps coming from behind him. He only noticed when the figure sat beside him - it was you.
"You're awake still?" You asked, frowning. "Did something happen?"
Pure Vanilla Cookie chuckled softly. "If something did happen, you would be the first to realize, my friend."
Tumblr media
"Friend," you repeated. "Friend, friend, friend." Pure Vanilla Cookie blinked, confused as he watched you repeat those words. "Are we really still friends?"
His cheeks turned a shade darker. "What do you mean..?"
"I mean, I shared the Light of Compassion with you, I saved your life, you saved mine, and just.." You looked at him, frowning softly. "Does that.. seem like something just friends would do?"
Pure Vanilla Cookie glanced away, resting his hand over his mouth. He chuckled softly. "Hm.. to some, maybe." He then smiled at you. "But I'm guessing that you want to be something more?"
You grinned. "How'd you guess?"
He hummed, opening his eyes to look at you. "Just a hunch, it seems."
With a soft laugh, you gently grabbed his hand and kissed the back of it. Then you looked up at him, then his mouth. "May I?"
His blush darkened. "Of course."
You moved forward and kissed him, the both of you closing your eyes. Pure Vanilla Cookie felt his body relax, resting his hands on your shoulders. After a few more moments, you both broke apart, small breaths escaping the both of you.
You kissed his head. "I love you, Pure Vanilla Cookie."
He smiled. "I love you too, Sparkling Joy Cookie."

how you lost the girl
pairing: jenna ortega x fem!reader
summary: a rainy night makes you think back to your relationship with jenna, but a unexpected appearance interrupts your thoughts.
warnings: angst<3
word count: 3k
a/n: flashbacks are in italics!! heavily based on "how you get the girl" by taylor mother but ofc i had to make it angst..
Tumblr media
The rain was relentless, pounding against the windowpane as if mirroring the turmoil inside your heart. Six months had passed since that fateful day when your relationship with Jenna crumbled like a fragile porcelain doll.
The apartment felt empty, its corners echoing with the memories of laughter, whispers, and stolen kisses that had once filled the space with warmth and love.
You chuckled, shaking your head at Jenna's silly behavior. She had just thrown flour all over you while you were trying to bake a batch of cookies using a recipe from your phone. "You are so weird," you said.
As the flour settled on your face, you couldn't help but laugh. She had always been a bit of a troublemaker, but you couldn't deny that her antics always made you smile.
"Alright, alright," you said, trying to hold back your laughter. "I think that's enough flour for one day."
Jenna giggled and brushed some of the excess flour off of her apron. Oh, come on, where's your sense of adventure?"
You rolled your eyes playfully. "I have plenty of adventure in my life, thank you very much."
Jenna smirked. "Oh really? Do tell." You smiled and leaned in closer to her.
"Well, for starters, there's this." And with that, you closed the distance between you and kissed her deeply.
The flour on your face was forgotten as you lost yourselves in the moment. Jenna's lips were soft against yours, and it felt like you could kiss her forever.
Eventually, you broke apart, both of you breathless and grinning from ear to ear. You brushed some of the flour off of Jenna's cheek, and she laughed, looking up at you with those beautiful brown eyes.
"I guess I'll have to clean this mess up," you said, gesturing to the kitchen, which was now covered in a thin layer of white powder.
Jenna smiled mischievously. "Oh let's just leave it for now," she said, stepping closer to me again and placing her hand on your waist.
"Why don't we go do something else instead?" She suggested, looking up at you seductively through her lashes.
You chuckled softly and pulled her closer until your bodies were pressed together. "That sounds like an excellent idea," You agreed. And then you were off into the night, leaving the kitchen far behind you in a flurry of kisses and laughter.
You stood by the window, gazing out at the rain-soaked streets, your thoughts consumed by memories of her. You had tried so hard to move on and rebuild your life without Jenna, but the pain of her absence lingered like a ghost haunting your every step.
The rain made you wonder how everything had gone so wrong. Jenna was the love of your life, or so you thought. But things had spiraled out of control, and now here you were, alone and heartbroken.
"Maybe we could watch a movie tonight," Jenna suggested, her eyes on the road as she drove home after a long day of traveling.
You chuckled and rolled your eyes at her. "Do you seriously have energy to watch a movie after a whole day of work plus flying home from New York?"
Jenna shrugged, a playful grin spreading across her face. "I'll have plenty of energy if the movie is interesting enough."
You chuckled again, admiring Jenna's mischievous spirit. Even after a long day, she was always up for a little excitement. As you pulled up to your house, you couldn't help but feel grateful for having her by your side.
Once inside, Jenna immediately made her way to the couch, scrolling through Netflix with a determined look on her face. You grabbed a couple of sodas from the fridge and settled in beside her, laying your head on her shoulders.
"What do you feel like watching?" you asked, taking a sip of your drink.
"Hmm, how about something with a little action and a lot of sex?" Jenna winked, her eyes sparkling mischievously.
You laughed, shaking your head in amusement. "You never change, do you?"
Jenna leaned in closer, her lips brushing against your ear. "Why should I?" She said with a wide grin.
You turned away from the window, your heart heavy with a mixture of anger and longing. How can someone just disappear from your life without a proper explanation?
The hurt ran deep, leaving scars that no amount of time seemed capable of healing. As if on cue, a knock sounded at the door. Your heart raced in your chest as you cautiously approached the entrance. Who would be at your door at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday?
A sudden knock at the door jolted you out of your thoughts. You hesitated for a moment before making your way to the door. You opened it to find Jenna standing in front of you, drenched to the bone by the rain, her eyes meeting yours for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
Your heart skipped a beat as you gazed into her eyes, trying to gauge her emotions. She looked up at you, and for a moment, neither of you said a word, the silence between you heavy with the weight of unresolved emotions.
"Are you insane?" Your voice wavered and your eyebrows furrowed, a mix of anger and vulnerability evident in your tone. "Showing up here like this after all this time?"
Jenna swallowed hard, her own emotions starting to overwhelm her. Finally, she spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry," she said. "I shouldn't have left the way I did. I miss you."
You felt a wave of emotions wash over you―anger, hurt, and a deep, gnawing desire for her. You wanted her to explain why she had left and make things right. But at the same time, you couldn't ignore the intense longing you had for her, the way your heart leapt at the sight of her.
You wanted to pull her into your arms, to feel her warmth and sweet smell again, but you held yourself back. You needed to know the truth before even considering letting her in again.
"Why are you here?" You asked, your voice was cold and distant. As much as you wanted her, she didn’t deserve to see you cry. "You just disappeared without a word."
Jenna took a deep breath, her eyes filling with tears. "I was scared," she said, her voice shaking. "I didn't know how to deal with everything that was happening between us. I needed time to figure things out."
You felt a pang of sadness and hurt at her admission. How could she have just left without telling you? "You could have talked to me, Jenna," you said, a hint of anger creeping into your voice. "We could have worked through things together."
"I know," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I regret it every day. But I'm here now, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right between us."
You shook your head, looking at her with an evident hurt in your face. "And it took you six months to come back? I mean, you left without giving me an explanation or looking back. Can you even begin to understand how much that hurt?" You said with tears in your eyes, holding them back for as long as you could.
Your gaze hardened, but her eyes held a glimmer of something that resembled hope. "A long six months, and you were too afraid to tell me what you wanted. Is that it?"
Jenna looked down, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her wet shirt. "I was afraid," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "Afraid of losing you, of losing everything we had built together."
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "And you think just showing up here in the middle of the night is going to make everything better?" You asked, your tone laced with a hint of bitterness.
Jenna looked up at you, her eyes filled with tears. "No," she said. "I know it won't. But I had to try. I had to see you, to tell you how much I love you, and to ask for your forgiveness."
You felt a knot form in your stomach at her words. Despite everything that had happened, you still loved her, and the thought of being without her had been unbearable. But at the same time, you couldn't just forget all the pain she had caused and let her back in your life.
The rain continued to pour outside, the drops tapping against the windowpane like a somber melody. You stood there, facing Jenna, contemplating your next move. It was tough to ignore the pain she had caused you, but at the same time, the love you had for her wasn’t going anywhere, and you knew that.
You decide to speak up, knowing staring at her for too long would only hurt even more. "And what do you want, Jenna? You left because you were scared, now what?"
Jenna looked up at you with hopeful eyes, willing you to understand. "I want us to be together again. I want to make it work, to do whatever it takes to make things right between us."
You sighed, feeling torn between your desire to have her back in your life and the hurt she had caused you. "It's not that simple, Jenna," you said, your voice softening a bit. "You can't just waltz back into my life and expect everything to be okay. You hurt me beyond what I could ever even imagined. You are a coward, you should’ve fought for us, for me!" You said in a louder tone, letting your emotions take over, and the tears you were fighting back streamed down your face.
Jenna's eyes filled with tears as she listened to you, her own emotions starting to bubble up to the surface. "I know," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was a coward. I should have fought for us, for you. But I was scared, and I didn't know what to do, can't you understand that?"
"No! Because I don't want to be your dirty little secret, I deserve more than that! I deserve a girlfriend who’ll take me to her family’s Christmas dinner, a girlfriend who’s not afraid of what other people in the media will say about her relationship!" You said now crying almost uncontrollably. You wanted to hate her, you deserve better. But she was Jenna—your Jenna.
Jenna shifted her weight from one foot to the other, a mixture of shame and love in her eyes. "I know, I'm sorry," she said. "I want to make it up to you, to be the girlfriend you deserve. Please forgive me."
You sighed. You wanted so much to believe her, but a part of you still felt that she was just trying to make things better for herself. "I don't know," you said, shaking your head.
"I'll do anything you want, I just want to win you back!" Jenna pleaded, tears and drops of rain streaming down her face.
You looked at her, knowing deep down she meant every word, but you still felt the hurt. It was an impossible situation, and you didn't know what to say.
Everything seemed to fall silent for an endless moment once again, and the weight of the situation settled in. The silence was almost deafening, and you felt tears starting to form in your eyes again at the thought of never seeing her again.
You took a deep breath, trying to control your emotions. You knew that Jenna had hurt you deeply, but at the same time, you couldn't deny the love you still had for her. "I need time, Jenna," you said, your voice softening. "Time to think about everything that's happened, and time to decide if I can forgive you."
Jenna's eyes filled with tears once again, but this time they were tears of hope rather than desperation. "I understand," she said, her voice shaking. "I'll do whatever it takes to prove to you that I deserve your forgiveness."
You nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope yourself. Maybe things could work out between you and Jenna, but it wouldn't be easy. "And I need space, Jenna," you said softly. "I need time to process everything and figure out what I want."
Jenna nodded, her eyes still filled with tears. "It's okay, I get it," she said again. "I'll give you all the space you need. But please don't shut me out completely."
You gave her a small smile, feeling a pang of sadness at the thought of not seeing her again. "I won't shut you out completely, Jenna," you said. "But I need to take things one day at a time."
Jenna nodded again, wiping away her tears.
You watched as she turned to leave, her footsteps echoing softly on the hardwood floor. As she reached the door, she turned back to look at you with a sad smile on her face. "I love you," she said softly, before slipping out into the rain and disappearing into the night.
You stood there for a moment, staring after her, unsure of what to do next. The rain continued to pour outside, the drops tapping against the windowpane like a lullaby.
You took a deep breath and let the gravity of the moment wash over you. Jenna had hurt you deeply, but at the same time, you couldn't deny the love you still had for her.
You knew that you needed to take things one day at a time and figure out what you really wanted. Only time will tell if you were willing to take the risk and try to make things work with Jenna again.
