listen everyone’s all karnadeli this colindeli that and i get it they’re both so juicy. but let’s set shipping aside for a second because i also need people to be a thousand times more invested in colin and karna being slow burn best friends who come to a gradual understanding of each other and eventually bond over their surprisingly similar traumas and hangups. I want them to gossip over meals and share commiserating glances when the nobility do some stupid rich people shit. I want colin and karna to team up during arguments, and deli to be exhausted because he has to deal with the fact that his skalds have unionized. I want them to quietly have each others backs, even though they’d never fucking admit it if you asked. Are you all seeing my vision.

Wriothesley and Arlecchino
Okay but can we talk about Wriothesley and Arlecchino for a second because I am bouncing off the walls thinking about the two of them in relation to each other.
Spoilers for Wriothesley's story quest and voice lines below!
Recently, I've been thinking about how isolated Wriothesley is in terms of characters and how much or how little would change if he were not to exist or be a designated playable character. I love that man don't get me wrong but I was was just thinking about why he was made into something of such importance. Literally, he's in an underwater prison and they could've had an NPC warden with the same traits. Figuratively, we know he has a very dubious ability to trust as seen is voice line.
I've managed to get myself to a pretty comfortable place in life, but there's still some things I want that are outside my reach, like a peaceful and happy childhood, or the ability to trust other people. - More About Wriothesley: V
Anyways after watching the trailer with Arlecchino, I was struck with how much Wriothesley and Arlecchino both parallel each other or perhaps could even serve as each other's foils depending on how Arle's lore will change upon release!
Both were orphans. Each had siblings they were raised and some of which did not survive. Both killed their parental figures while young. But whereas Wriothesley was convicted and exiled for his crimes, Arlecchino was pardoned and not only that but her crimes were 'rewarded' with the title as Harbinger. (I use reward in a dubious sense as we don't know how she felt about her inherited title yet or if she was more or less thrust into it with no real agency in the matter.)
She was given a new name, Wriothesley chose his and discarded the one his adopted parents gave him.
God, even the start of the short when "Mother" is telling a story to the children we see how the future where they'd be pitted against each other but through their eyes. The colors are soft and bright. It's a child-like rendition of the brutal reality that Arle would later be faced with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Wriothesley's story quest, we learn the full extent of his backstory. He was being fostered by a couple who seemed perfectly lovely and loving but the truth of the matter was that they were trafficking the children under their care. That, or 'disposing' of them if they were useless or found out the truth. To use a veneer of love, of kindness and safety and that have that shattered in the most brutal of betrayals. Sounds familiar, huh?
"They did all of that, but never considered how their actions would utterly ruin all the children they took under their wing. Worse, perhaps they never cared about that at all."
Tumblr media
—But I did.
Wriothesley, who took extreme actions and murdered his foster parents so the other children could live and be free, shouldering that sin.
Arlecchino who presumably had her siblings blood on her hands. Who had no siblings left but murdered "Mother" anyways. (I'm not entirely sold that her friend didn't throw herself on Arle's sword but nvm) and once alone, was placed back into that cycle that made her as we see her today in the first place.
Do I ship them? Do I want them to be found family? Enemies? Distant acquaintances? YESS I just want to see them interact with each other, hoyo please.

I think one of the major villains of this season of The Mandalorian is going to, in fact, be The Armorer. There’s a lot of different things she’s said or even how her armor looks that makes things questionable, even more so with knowing what we know with Moff Gideon.
This is built entirely from my rambling so please picture the Charlie Day with String Meme. I’ve not reread this and likely want. I just wanna share my believed theories with everyone else because it’s fun. Could I be proven dead wrong? Totally! This is my theories written entirely from what I’ve picked up and how I would write things with The Mandalorian
Let’s start with the one thing that’s been visible every single season: her armor, specifically her helmet. It’s a more subtle style but it is one we’ve seen before with Darth Maul’s Super Commandos. They all wore red armor with the horn pattern on their helmets. We’ve already been given context clues that she’s older than Din because she saw Mandalore before it fell.
We get it from her discussing having seen the Great Forge on Mandalore a light with a hundred smiths. I’m willing to argue that means she saw it before The New Mandalorians took power. We also have what I have listed in the point below.
Second comes from when she was talking to Bo-Katan about the mythosaur. She mentioned that she thought it was just a myth. That’s not something we’ve seen with the ones who grew up within the Children of the Watch. But! It is something Bo-Katan professed before that it’s just myth. So, that implies that she also was a different type of Mandalorian before becoming The Armorer.
A subpoint to the above is that in previous seasons she’s leaned into the myths with the Watch members. It was something she privately thought false but proclaimed true. After all, she said Mandalore was Destroyed and Cursed. She also used improperly gaining the Darksaber as why Bo-Katan was doomed to fail.
Third we have to talk about Moff Gideon’s escape. The transport he was in was attacked and he was extracted, presumably alive, with some beskar left behind. I personally find it weird that there’s a sliver of it left behind because this armor can take blows from lightsabers and blasters. Why in the stars could they have on a prison transport that would shatter a piece of armor and not leave body? It’s also specifically silver beskar.
I’ve seen someone point out this could be Din being sat up because he’s the only one with unpainted beskar armor that is Notable. Which I easily see because there’s politics at play here too.
This is also something the Armorer would have access to considering she runs the forge.
All of this comes together for me to believe the Armorer is setting Bo-Katan up to clash with Din. Being older she knew of Bo’s want to lead Mandalore and her ambition has always been a defining trait. She’s Bo-Katan Kryze of Clan Kryze, House Kryze. She was second-in-command of Death Watch, when people chose to follow Maul she fought (with Ahsoka) to take back Mandalore, and more. It’s easy to assume that what’s currently happening is a minor setback and fiery, ambitious, cutthroat Bo-Katan will reappear. Someone who she can turn toward Din to take back the Darksaber. From there she can dispose of Bo-Katan, if she’s not a good “face”, and have rule of a united Mandalore.
I do think Bo-Katan’s aware that there’s several thing at play with the Armorer’s interest in her. She wasn’t born yesterday, has lived through so many wars, and was raised in a political family. Nothing is ever at face value with leaders.
It’s also what makes her a good counter to Din who is a novice with politics and is blind to the Armorer’s possible actions. Because he’s got a blind spot for her as the leader of his Covert.
My reasoning for her disliking Din comes from how he conducts himself. Why did he break the Creed? It was entirely to save Grogu and nothing more or less. We saw Paz talk about giving up on Ragnar; that’s something Din wouldn’t do. Instead of accepting that he was forever an Apostate because the Living Waters were “destroyed” he proved otherwise. It shows he’s willing to question her authority. Having the Darksaber means it would be easy for him to get followers if he really wanted to. Instead, he’s done the opposite while actively trying to get rid of the damn thing. He also easily gains allies as shown throughout the seasons. A leader who makes easy allies while not seeking power is a dangerous leader because that can’t be bought with more power.
Moff Gideon comes into the this because of his connection to the Empire, Mandalore, and Din. Because going back to the Super Commandos, a group I believe the Armorer was part of initially, who did they follow after Darth Maul? The Empire. His connection to Mandalore comes from his destruction of it and possession of the Darksaber. Who is a sort of Public Enemy Number 1 for Mandalorians? The Moff himself. Finally, and most important, there’s the connection to Din. They clashed on Nevarro, he captured Grogu, and served as a prime antagonist for Din because of who he’s threatened.
How the Moff’s part is going to play out is something I’m still working on. Taking him from the shuttle and killing the crew makes this a New Republic Problem. They have the manpower to hunt down a war criminal to save face. Now, either Din’s potentially being framed as rescuing him for pay (he was a bounty hunter and he is publicly connected to Boba Fett) or he’s being framed as potentially springing him to personally kill him. However, I think the actual plan is to use him for power and a spectacle. Either the Armorer is going to cut a deal with him again because the Super Commandos were never picky about how they got Power as long as they go it. Her Mandalore gets favorable treatment from the Empire Remnants and he gets free. The other option is she cuts a deal, backstabs him later on, and makes his execution (however it happens) into a massive spectacle. Because now the man who caused The Night of a Thousand Tears is dead by a Mandalorian’s hand.
There’s less of a place to tuck this in but I do believe her main plan is to unite Mandalore under “The Mandalorian Creed” that the Children of the Watch follows. Because she told Bo as much when they had the meeting on Nevarro. Instead, what I think it going to happen with a United Mandalore is Din and Bo will end up making some version of the Resol’nare from Legends. It’s six tenants that all Mandalorians follow but it’s less strict that the Creed we’ve been shown. Because if this is going to be a new age for Mandalore it makes sense it would be heralded by Bo and Din (who technically was seen by the Mythosaur even if he was a little unconscious) that unites their principles and love for their people.
I’ll end this with my less serious, cracky theory that the Armorer is a member of Clan Saxon. This is built entirely from how I view her connection to Moff Gideon/the Empire and how in Rebels both Saxons were pains in the ass who partnered up with the Empire. It’s also a potentially neat way to bring in Thrawn because Thrawn was in contact with Tiber Saxon.

Antonia's dialogue about the Gold Coin Tree
Thanks to a post by @lopposting, I learned about Antonia supposedly having some extra dialogue about the portrait you find in the hideout of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, provided you talk to her first after obtaining it. I was curious to see this for myself, and since I'm currently on my NG+ run, I used the opportunity to check.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get Antonia to share any bonus dialogue about the painting, so if it's there, I don't know how to trigger it. (If anyone does, please leave me a hint!) I did, however, coincidentally stumble upon some dialogue Antonia has about the Gold Coin Tree and the Alchemists that I was completely unaware of until now.
To get this dialogue, you need to unlock the Gold Coin Tree (take the lift in the Malum District Town Hall) and then go to Antonia and speak to her. (During my first playthrough, I made the mistake of picking up the portrait in the town hall and turning around as soon as I saw the lift, since I thought it would take me to an unknown area. As a result, I got the conversation where Antonia gives you the key to Rosa Isabelle Street first and ended up missing this one.)
Upon talking to her, you'll get the following dialogue:
Now, this dialogue is very interesting for a variety of reasons, especially since it might support certain lore theories I've seen around. I'll put the more detailed discussion under the cut, since it goes into spoiler territory.
[Spoilers ahead!]
So, the first thing we learn is that Antonia was aware that the tree was there all along - makes sense, considering she also knew about the hidden underground tunnels. In fact, I'd be more surprised if she didn't know it was there, since Antonia knows more about the hotel's secrets than anyone else.
More interestingly, Antonia mentions there was infighting among the Alchemists:
"The Krat Disaster caused the Alchemists to fight amongst themselves. Many people died or went missing. That's the real tragedy of the Rose Estate."
This dialogue has led to the theory that the mysterious Rose Estate incident was a coup instigated by Simon Manus to dispose of Valentinus as a leader, and having seen the full dialogue for the first time now, I feel inclined to agree. Also, I'm not sure, but since Antonia says the "Krat Disaster" is what caused the Alchemists' internal conflict, does that mean the Puppet Frenzy and Petrification Disease outbreak already occurred before the Rose Estate incident?
Regarding the Gold Coin Tree itself, Antonia says it reacts to Ergo somehow - I guess that's why P can pick fruits from it? (But if you need large amounts of Ergo to harvest the fruits, how was the Black Rabbit Brotherhood able to steal them? Then again, they do mention the Gold Coin Fruits aren't easy to get in their notebook…)
From both Antonia and Sophia's accounts, it's obvious that the Alchemists wanted to do something with the Gold Coin Fruits - the question is just exactly what. Perhaps it has something to do with the Saintess of Mercy Statue. The notebook of Alidoro (presuming it was written by the real one) mentions the tree being "used on humans". Could that mean that the fruits can be used with the statue to revive dead people somehow? (I wrote some stuff about that here, and how Giangio/Paracelsus might fit into this.)
Either way, I get the feeling there's more to the lore of the Saintess Statue...

So Secret Invasion is a tedious slog, and like most MCU spy thrillers post-Winter Soldier its politics don't really bear thinking about. But one thing I do appreciate about it is that three episodes in, the one thing that unites all its characters and factions is their conviction that Nick Fury is the Worst Spy Ever and their willingness to bring the receipts. So far, we have learned that:
Nick Fury was a middling SHIELD agent with a career that was going nowhere when, after the events of Captain Marvel, he recruited the Skrulls to act as his secret spy organization, which was actually run by Talos.
To reiterate, the reason everyone thinks Nick Fury is a world class spymaster who knows everything before everyone is that he had an off-book army of shapeshifting aliens doing the actual spy work and feeding him information.
The Skrulls agreed to do this (dangerous, wearying, neverending) work because Fury promised to find them a new home off Earth. And then he just... did not do that. I don't know if he lied or failed or decided, at some point, that the Skrulls were too useful to him to let go, but the upshot is that he has strung them along for thirty years. And it seems to have come as a surprise to him that failing to live up to your promises to a group of desperate refugees - including orphaned children! - might have negative consequences down the line.
While he was working for Fury, Talos secretly sent for all the remaining Skrull refugees and resettled them on Earth, a fact that Fury - who was climbing the ranks at SHIELD at the time and thus presumably had other intelligence assets at his disposal - was blissfully ignorant of until episode 2 of this very series.
(While all this was happening, of course, SHIELD was playing host to Hydra, a fact of which Fury also remained ignorant until it blew up in his face.)
Skrulls have infiltrated the upper echelons of many Earth governments and organizations - at last count, the British PM, the head of NATO, and a major US media talking head are all Skrull imposters. I suppose it's possible that Fury signed off on this, but it seems like a bit much. More likely, this is something Talos and the rest of the Skrull leadership put into motion without Fury's awareness or approval.
Over the years, as Fury failed to live up to his promises to the Skrull, a group of them became disaffected and splintered off, aiming to take over the planet from humans. Again, not only was Fury unaware of this until the beginning of this series, it's not something that he anticipated as a likely outcome of his own behavior, and he completely failed to identify some of his proteges as potential turncoats.
Oh, and Fury is married to a Skrull who is apparently working with the "kill all humans" faction. But it's not his fault that he wasn't aware of this, because after the blip he just fucked off to space, left Talos to impersonate him, and apparently did not for one moment consider that there was a volatile situation on Earth that required his attention.
And look, none of this is going to stick. As I've mentioned in the past, one of the MCU's core moves is to give full, articulate voice to the criticisms we naturally have of their characters, but always in a way that undermines that criticism. It's being made by a villain (Black Panther, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), it's misguided (Yelena Belova hates Hawkeye not because he's a mass murderer, but because she mistakenly blames him for her sister's death), or it's just raised and then ignored (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the early seasons of Agents of SHIELD). It is very clear that the thrust of Secret Invasion is going to be to reveal how Nick Fury got his groove back and proved to all the naysayers that he's the baddest motherfucker in the MCU. But for the time being, I am enjoying the litany of "this is why you suck" speeches that Fury is being subjected to. It's one of the few things that makes this show worth watching.

jae jun ending is harsh ??? he was the least problematic
Hey <3 Oooo, I appreciate your opinion ... but I beg to differ. Spoilers ahead: 1. For most bullying scenes, JJ was merely a bystander who observed the violence around him and chose to ignore/protect the perpetrators. As such, he was 'blind' in terms of not seeing/choosing not to see what was around him + he lacked perception/good judgement by helping them cover it up.
I think this is further evident in his relationship with the store clerk. Other than Ye-sol, sometimes YJ + Se-ra ... the only other person he spoke to somewhat 'kindly' (I'm using the word kindly loosely lol) was the store clerk ... yet, the possibility of him knowing about her s exual assault is high ... and he chose to do nothing. He was once again a mere bystander.
I also think that he was ‘blind’ on a friendship level. He was surprised by Ye-sol being his child + YJ hiding it from him … considering they shared everything … to the point that he didn’t even consider it a possibility till DE. Thus, he was blinded by his trust in YJ. He was also blindsided by Myeong-oh standing up against him + robbing him + the fact that se-ra would sleep with Myeong-oh = JJ being blinded by his social status.
DE had given the group a chance to get the easy way out ...both knowingly (aka YJ) and unknowingly (JJ). Here, JJ was given a lifeline with Ye-sol and for the first time ... he was no longer a bystander ... he stood up for what was right. He was also given a chance to redeem himself by doing right by So-hee after finding out she was pregnant with his child and killed by YJ + doing right by Ye-sol by understanding her relationship with DY. However, in these cases, he was once again blinded by his love for Ye-sol ... resulting in him making the wrong choices - using Ye-sol as a bargaining chip to protect YJ + assaulting DY and DE.
I found it extremely satisfactory that HJ had a role to play in blinding him. She tried her best to appear perfect for him, yet he was blinded bc of her status and probs the fact that she tried to hard. Hence, treating her as disposable + constantly mocking her. She probs presumed he turned a new leaf with him standing up for her + proposing to her … she thought he had finally seen her. But nope, he chose to taunt her when she needed him the most.
Given these storylines, I interpreted DE asking JJ “how do you know what’s colourful” … as a play on his colorblindness and the fact that he lacks good judgement/is a bystander/ability to see beyond his own beliefs. So, JJ literally losing his eyesight wraps up his story perfectly - now he is blind by force rather than choice. 2. With regard to losing his life ... it made the most sense. He has been fighting for custody of Ye-sol against DY - its his main character arc. DY would have never known peace bc JJ would continuously come after them. Plus, the role DE played in blinding JJ helped DY k-word JJ ... hence, it can also be seen as DE's thank to DY for always being kind to her.
Taking him away from Ye-sol and his chance to have a family was also another point of revenge. Throughout the show we see how much he craves a home and family ... so this defo hit hard.
(Side note: do you guys think the hurt So-hee? that part came across a bit open-ended ... like why didn't So-hee use this relationship to irk YJ? Maybe she knew that it would not matter bc YJ did not love him? Idk ... but that whole scene where they found out he is the father makes me think he could have hurt her)

speaking of Tobey Maguires Spiderman Shiro should have his backstory?? maybe not the web-out-of-wrists aspect of the thing since that's Allura's thing but like, he got it on accident? and then he grows into the character, discovers this kid he's taken in (Keith) got them somehow too? but maybe he's retired or MIA after losing his arm so he's just a mentor atm - then Keith needs help and then he just realises. he needs to do this. and then he meets Adam-deadpool... (Spiderman anon :)) )
OKAY SO shiro is keith's brother and a scientist at an oscorp-type place - let's call it altea - which allura's parents used to own before they died in an "accident". back when they were alive, when he was in high school, he used to work as an intern there.
he worked there with his friend adam who is also extremely smart and an aspiring scientist! they've always had a kinda will-they-won't-they thing going on... 👀
anyhow, shiro was a favourite of alfor, since he was seen as one of the smartest kids of his age, so he was allowed access to alfor and melenor's own special branch of research (the spider dna research). though, shiro doesn't know what exactly it is for, rather than the basic concepts they're using. mainly, he knows that they can trust him with it and could use his help, smart kid as he is.
now, it has been made abundantly clear since the beginning that info of this experimentation shouldn't under any circumstances fall into the wrong hands
surprise! it falls into the wrong hands.
alfor and melenor had decided to trust some of their closest friends, zarkon and honerva, with their latest breakthrough.
this, shockingly, is a mistake. zarkon and honerva have other visions for this power. this... conflict in interests, shall we say, eventually results in a tasm situation where alfor and melenor pack up their shit and leave on a plane in a rush, leaving their daughter allura behind with coran. before they go, they tell shiro to gather what's left of their research and dispose of it. this is when they tell shiro the infamous "with great power comes great responsibility" spiderman line.
so! honerva goes after alfor and melenor and thus the tasm-esque plane crash scene ensues where alfor and melenor die and honerva is missing, presumed dead.
meanwhile, in his frantic attempts to clear the lab, shiro ends up getting bitten by one of the spiders from the experiments. what's more, zarkon has come after him, and, with shiro's newfound powers that he struggles to control, a fight ensues wherein half the lab explodes, shiro saves dozens of people from the explosion before losing his arm, and zarkon is badly injured and later said to have died in hospital. shiro is lucky for the spider bite, or else he'd have been a goner.
now, let's back up a bit and talk a little in terms of shiro's situation. shiro was an orphan, and lived with his grandfather until he died when he was 10. after that, he was a foster kid.
shiro likes his foster home well enough, but he's been through quite a few and hasn't formed much of an attachment to any of them.
however, he does have people who he considers family. coran used to teach science at his high school as well as being a scientist at altea, and shiro was quickly taken under his wing. he's like an uncle to him!
he met keith when he was visiting a middle school as an ambassador for altea. shiro talked to him a little, and liked him immediately, but keith's teacher warned shiro that he was a troublemaker.
consequently, keith stole the car shiro had borrowed from altea, shiro took him under his wing and they've been brothers ever since.
as for allura, her parents used to bring her into the lab sometimes, so she and shiro knew each other through this.
and of course, there's adam, his best friend and crush who he's held a candle for since high school.
and thus, after the "accident", shiro is taken in by coran. he gets a prosthetic arm, and having finished high school, he gets a job at altea, courtesy of coran who now owns the place. adam starts college, and he and shiro (finally) start dating.
and so shiro does spidey stuff for a couple of years before he has some of bad experiences, and then takes the decision to quit it at 21. this decision comes from a culmination of things, not least from he and adam having conflict in their relationship and deciding to break things off.
fast forward a few years, news of new spideys in town starts to take off! shiro, naturally, is extremely shocked, does his digging, and finds out about keith and allura's identities. with this, he becomes their mentor. however, it's when lance gets his powers too, and they're all really in need of some guidance, that shiro finally realises, it's time for him to step into the suit again, and bring this team together.
leading to a reconciliation with adam as deadpool and a LOVELY exes to lovers dynamic.... but we'll leave that for another post 👀

i’m back, having reread chapter 25 for the umpteenth time,,, now whats drawn my eye is about midway through, ranta internally comments about how if y/n were to ever actually be gone (presumably implying ‘dead’ considering the prior lines), naoya would be ‘virtually inconsolable’.
i’ve presumed y/n will be surviving the story (though,,, im eyeing the major character death warning in trepidation,,) so considering we probably won’t get to see his reaction to that in canon, how would he handle that? and if it’s from that death sentence, i don’t imagine naoaki would take it well either, especially if he didn’t find out the sentencing even existed until it was too late,,
Hello!!! How are you? I'm so happy to see you again! ❤
Reliving the angst, aren't we? 😏
You're not the first one to bring up the major character death warning hahaha; all I gotta say is, I think it's going to be somewhat... satisfying, but the context behind it oof.
But let's indulge in this thought 🤭 Let's say that Y/N failed to get pregnant and her death sentence was finally enacted.
The estate would have mixed reactions to this whole ordeal. While it's not the first time they witnessed the death/funeral of a wife (Tomoko 😭), it has been a while since one has been sentenced to death.
Some of the members will think that Naobito's decision was a bit... exaggerated, however, they would soon understand that a woman of Y/N's heritage was better off dead if they couldn't make use of her—any other clan would've done the same. (Or so I assume... since the Kamo basically pushed Noritoshi's mother away after getting what they wanted. I think they would've disposed of her if she didn't... you know, do her job.)
Besides, he's the clan leader, so their opinion doesn't matter. Nonetheless, the servants that had began to take a liking to her will definitely mourn her absence. The ones that didn't would probably say shit like "She deserved it" and "Someone better will take her place in time"
Now, onto Naoya...
Just as Ranta said, he would be virtually inconsolable, for the young Zen'in heir went through great lengths to have Y/N by his side. He was shocked to see Naobito so... nonchalantly when he ordered Y/N to be killed if she failed to beget a child. Feeling worse upon realizing how he continuously blamed her for everything that lead up to that point, not realizing that he was to blame as well. For most of the entirety of it, if not all.
But there's nothing to do now. She's gone—Y/N is dead. All he ever wanted, needed, was over.
AND I ACTUALLY PLAYED WITH THE IDEA OF LIKE, NAOYA MANAGING TO REVIVE HER BUT SHE'S JUST NOT THE SAME YOU KNOW? THERE'S SOMETHING ODD. I LOVE THAT KIND OF CREEPY SHIT—PET SEMATARY AU HERE WE GO.
Naoya would circle down into depression, and dare I say, he might even pick up the habit of drinking—or throw himself constantly into missions, anything to distract his memory away from you. Circling back to the last point, in his lowest, he might actually consider bringing you back one way or the other, only to realize that's like forbidden, or so I believe, if not, all sorcerers would basically be immortal haha.
In terms of moving on, dating/marrying someone else. I don't think he would. He can't, specially when there was never closure for his last relationship. He just can't move on. He might even start seeing her around the estate, hallucinating her and all that** (See last part haha)
Anyways, her ladies would certainly whoop his ass—as much as they can/are permitted. They still can't believe that someone who dared say that loved you very much, actually allowed you to be harmed yet again. It wouldn't be underneath them to say things to him whenever passing by his side, make their disdain for him clear.
Naoaki would beat him to death tho. Or close to it.
He would be shocked, petrified, and even then, I think those words are an understatement. Naoaki never knew that you were in route to being basically murdered by his family, wondering over and over again why you never told him, and if there was perhaps something he could've done to stop it.
Before shifting the blame onto his brother for not trying hard enough to save you. This is when he would beeline into Naoya and beat him, and he would allow it, as some kind of punishment, before someone came along to separate them.
Naoaki's relationship with the family is done by this point. One might even think he was more in love with her than what Naoya proclaimed to be 🤔
I don't think anyone would be the same at the Zen'in estate, for Y/N had achieved quite the impact in the short time she was there.
I can't even imagine what kind of explanation the Zen'in would have to bring when the L/N clan decides to ponder on her wellbeing—nor what Hinata and Ren would do if they eventually learn Y/N's dead.
**However, Y/N might just come back to haunt Naoya :>
This ask is super sad 😭 I don't want any of this to happen for real hahahahah but who knows, I guess we'll have to see where the characters take me 😭
But it's certainly a interesting thought to ruminate on; I have considered different scenarios and how characters would react to it, just for fun, you know?
However, this has to be the saddest one yet hahah considering that Naoya is starting to open up his goddamn eyes to reality 😭😭 please don't make me think on this ever again (just kidding hahahahahahah we love the angst) but I need fluff tbh
I hope my response was to your liking ❤ if you have more questions, or want more details in certain things please be sure to let me know 🥰!! I always look forward to your asks/response, they're very interesting hehe.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend ❤ Take care 😊

So... I've been sort of thinking about the Disassembly Drones, CYN, and how they relate to the Elliots from what we can figure out.
Note, we're working with what we know from their part and prior to their character arc.
Now, the obvious part is they're all afraid of being thrown out, but it's what they learned from their abusers and... well... how they cope that's something to note.

(Ridiculously long ramble warning)
J seems to take the most from Louisa, almost as if she feels like emulating her ideas and perfectionism might make her seem more valuable... and she takes out the stress on N, who I'll get to later.
I'd imagine that Louisa likely takes more than a little of her frustration out on J if this is true.
_
V picks up from James, lashing out violently when she runs into something she can't handle. Easier to hide her own feelings behind a persona to numb the pain, I'd suppose.
I get the feeling that even if she wasn't the one taking the hit, she's probably seen plenty of other hapless Drones taking Jame's wrath.
_
N... likely picked up the most from Tessa... He tries to be the friendly people pleaser, but rolling over to everyone and being nice really only goes so far.
I get the feeling that he has a terrible time telling Tessa no. Like I get that Tessa means well, but she was still a child at the time and... treated them more like dolls than people.
_
CYN sort of took the brunt of things, especially with her likely traumatic revival, the overall poor treatment, and everything else likely built things up to a violent boil.
Admittedly, we don't know much about the true nature of AbsoluteSolver as JCJenson is definitely hiding things... Although, I can imagine that it bonded to CYN as another abused individual.
You could say that CYN takes after all the worst of the Elliots... and AbsoluteSolver basically provided the matches.

Tumblr media
As for some of the swirling theories about what Tessa might be hiding in the recent episodes... I do have my own thoughts.
The first popular route I've seen presumes that Tessa herself is lying.
This is presuming that JCJenson was honest with her about what happened... and Tessa is bending or omitting the truth to get something she wants.
However, considering what we do know about JCJenson, I doubt they'd tell a lone technician what was actually going on... even if she was already personally involved to some extent.
_
The Second popular route is that Tessa Elliot is CYN in disguise or controlled by AbsoluteSolver in some way.
While this might explain how things went with her injury, but it could just as easily had been adrenaline, cartoony exaggeration, and Tessa's DNA not being in the security database setting off a more advanced protocol.
_
A third proposed route on this end is that JCJenson is manipulating Tessa in some way.
We know that JCJenson was already aware of AbsoluteSolver, who developed it, covered up that they were using the software in their products, experimented on them, encouraged a culture of easy disposal, and did who knows what else while knowing perfectly well that it would inevitably backfire.
I also doubt that what happened at the manor was an isolated incident either... Maybe the other times weren't so violent... or they were able to catch things before it escalated. For all we know, the majority of the damage, possibly Earth's destruction... might have been JCJenson covering their figurative butt.
So let's say... they "rescue" Tessa from the mansion, raise her for the next period of time in the corporate culture as "part of the family", feeding company policies and the like into her impressionable brain, and when she completes her training, give her the "truth" according to JCJenson, and lets her loose on Copper 9.
Of course, they neglected to tell her that she wasn't on the facility's security database, so her DNA set off the Sentinel's safeguards. It also seems pretty sloppy of them to not tell her anything about what's down there... unless it is entirely intentional.
In short, Tessa is just as much a pawn as everyone else... and might have been sent down there to die.

So Secret Invasion is a tedious slog, and like most MCU spy thrillers post-Winter Soldier its politics don’t really bear thinking about.
And then he just… did not do that. I don’t know if he lied or failed or decided, at some point, that the Skrulls were too useful to him to let go, but the upshot is that he has strung them along for thirty years.
I suppose it’s possible that Fury signed off on this, but it seems like a bit much. More likely, this is something Talos and the rest of the Skrull leadership put into motion without Fury’s awareness or approval.
Over the years, as Fury failed to live up to his promises to the Skrull, a group of them became disaffected and splintered off, aiming to take over the planet from humans. Again, not only was Fury unaware of this until the beginning of this series, it’s not something that he anticipated as a likely outcome of his own behavior, and he completely failed to identify some of his proteges as potential turncoats.
Oh, and Fury is married to a Skrull who is apparently working with the “kill all humans” faction. But it’s not his fault that he wasn’t aware of this, because after the blip he just fucked off to space, left Talos to impersonate him, and apparently did not for one moment consider that there was a volatile situation on Earth that required his attention.
And look, none of this is going to stick. As I’ve mentioned in the past, one of the MCU’s core moves is to give full, articulate voice to the criticisms we naturally have of their characters, but always in a way that undermines that criticism. It’s being made by a villain (Black Panther, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), it’s misguided (Yelena Belova hates Hawkeye not because he’s a mass murderer, but because she mistakenly blames him for her sister’s death), or it’s just raised and then ignored (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the early seasons of Agents of SHIELD). It is very clear that the thrust of Secret Invasion is going to be to reveal how Nick Fury got his groove back and proved to all the naysayers that he’s the baddest motherfucker in the MCU. But for the time being, I am enjoying the litany of “this is why you suck” speeches that Fury is being subjected to. It’s one of the few things that makes this show worth watching.
