OK BUT THE SHAVING SCENE IN THE NEW PUSS IN BOOTS MOVIE

There is so much going on there. It's the first time Puss admits he needs help w smth and everybody knows it. He knows it so he tries to play it off but it backfires and he gives up and begs. Kitty knows it so she holds it over his head for a bit and teases him bc she wants to relish this moment. but it's the first time he's asking for help and it's from her specifically. yes it was bc she was the only one w a blade but there's more to it!

And then Santa Coloma. Santa Coloma! They both know what happened there and the damage it had on their relationship and they've been fighting about it this whole trip. Puss knows how Kitty feels about him right now but he still essentially says "I know you're upset w me rn but I'm letting you put your knife on my throat even tho i'm on my last life bc I trust you" aughhhhhh God!

And kitty,,, kitty who doesn't trust anyone, who thought she could trust puss only to be betrayed,, validating his trust in her and teasing him a bit more but eventually doing a really good job. for the most part she just shaves him like he asked but she does only nick him at the very end when she easily could have severely injured or even killed him in a second. she's standing behind him, he's unarmed, she has her knife up to this throat but she lets him trust her and validates that

I realize the wildlife situation in France is different, I KNOW that intellectually, but every time I read about Myriel's lockless doors all my experience living in the sticks screams that the raccoons are gonna clean that entire house OUT
