The au omgggggg

Blue Diamond is often considered the immature diamond because his proclivity to shapeshift and pull pranks on his court. Because of this, White Diamond is against giving him his own planet to colonize, and doesn’t give him any real responsibility. His court is considered the “entertainment court”.

He was often left alone once Red Diamond was created, and although he loves Red, he was jealous that he was seen as more responsible although he was younger. Red looked up to Blue because his carefree nature, and often tried to impress him.

As they got closer, Blue decided to tell Red about the “off-colours” and pebbles he had been collecting, letting them live in a secret compartment of his tower. Red didn’t understand why he’d collect things that served no purpose but found it interesting regardless.

Red was tasked with giving Blue a pearl, but it came out off-coloured. He decided to give him the pearl regardless along with an amethyst.

Yellow and White learned of the baroque pearl but Blue demanded to keep him, and because they didn’t want to deal with his “tantrums” they let him keep it.

Red had let it slip to Yellow Diamond about the off colours and Yellow reported it to White. She was worried that they’d have a negative affect on blue and their goals of colonization, but she couldn’t predict what white chose to do.

White feared that Blue was straying to far from their intentions, so to make a point, she decided to shatter most of his off-colours, including his favorite pebble.

Blue lived in solitude with his baroque pearl, as time went on he grew spiteful of the diamonds. He wasn’t one of them, he wasn’t a shatterer or an unemotional being. He vowed to make a place where off-colours and gems who wanted to live out of the diamonds authority could thrive.

He made a plan to stage his own shattering with the help of his pearl and amethyst, and he would take the form of a Lapis Lazuli to start the revolution.
