I have a request for dream smp fans, specifically ones of the less popular characters. I’m writing a fic that is theoretically going to have every character in the dream smp included. I know the lore to everyone’s character, what I don’t have is the fan interpretation of many characters. I’m looking for character studies/meta posts for the following people: Eret, Purpled, Niki, Foolish, Puffy, Michael, Eryn, Hannah, and Boomer. c!eryn’s ability to hear/sense negative moments of the past is really tragic, but at the same time, there’s so much comedic potential there. how strong does a negative moment have to be? do you think he can hear foolish’s breakdown over building the mansion’s chandelier, with the faint voice of toad in the background. do you think he feels fundy’s anguished cries as he runs away from a dolled up hbomb in full catmaid mode. do you think he can hear tubbo screaming at tommy to get away and that they’re not selling his bath water. do you think he can’t physically get close to bad and skeppy’s mansion because all he can feel and hear is all 70 of their divorces all overlapping at once. what are their limitations. until we get an answer the possibilities are essentially endless, and i think we should capitalize on that while we still can

god. c!eryn my shining star. imagine being unable to go anywhere without hearing the anguished cries of your friends. it’s no wonder he’s gained the mindset he has.

you’re just taking a short walk around the server. the man who you see as a father figure laughs maniacally as he celebrates a banquet of death and bloodshed, and at the same time, your mentor cries out as their best friend is slaughtered in front of their eyes. you don’t know any of this. you just hear him laugh as she sobs, the clashing of swords and barking of dogs drawing forever closer.

you visit your best friend’s house. he is there, in front of you, smiling and joking around as he always does. but you hear him screaming, falling, drawing in panicked breaths through what feel like heart-wrenching sobs. the boy in front of you asks if you’re okay, you’ve been zoning out, is everything alright? you would ask him the same, if you had the strength to.

how can you live normally, when all you hear is death? how can you find peace, when all that surrounds you is war and strife? you can’t hear their happiness. you can’t hear the celebrations of the newly-founded nation as they gather around the campfire late at night. you can’t hear the joy of a father holding his son in his arms for the first time. all you can hear is the pain and heartbreak when that nation crumbled; all you can hear is the panicked cry of a father as his son takes his own life in front of his very eyes. when all you can feel is negativity, it’s no wonder your worldview becomes so bleak and apathetic. we’re all going to suffer anyways, why get our hopes up?
