unfortunately i think watching the road to el dorado as a child did something to me, and it wasn't seeing chel, or tulio and miguel, or the chief, or tzekel-kan, or anything understandable like that
it was seeing that one guy get stepped on by a giant stone jaguar
this did something to me
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!! LET ME BE HUNtED FOR SPORT BY HER
the first one is more like a… idk what it exactly is, but i want to be sure i understood! so, we can send our writing part at the same time to a mod, to be approved, and to our partner, right?
the second one is about the number of words, my story is about 6000 words long, is it too much? i still have to check it for the last time so maybe i can try to delete something if it’s too much
OH you can send your partner your fic at any time actually!! even if its not Officially Approved yet!
even showing them your wips is fine!
we just dont want you showing your fic to anyone other than your partner and the mods until its time for everyone to post bc SURPRISES ARE FUN ✨
also the mods to dm your fics to would be either me (moon) or chels (chels)
and there is no minimum or maximum word count! as long as its a finished one shot it can be as long or short as you like :D!!
BE FREE!!💚🌈
Tina I am not okay after that episode! That was so brutal! The fate that they'd shoot him after we asked for it! Rude! But I gotta say even tho I hate (love) that scene because it hurts so much, it was so well done. Beautifully directed, beautifully edited and beautifully acted!! Like it's the best shot scene on 911 and honestly one of the best I've ever seen! Can she please come direct every episode!? Also I can't wait to collect our Buddie endgame!!
The immediate impact of the bullet, Eddie’s blood hitting Buck before he even realized what had happened... a punch to the gut. It’s a testament to the crew’s skills that we KNEW what was about to occur and still found ourselves in stunned silence.
IMO, Buck getting covered in Eddie’s blood (as opposed to watching from a distance) was a brilliant decision because it made the feelings more real. He’s WEARING EDDIE’S BLOOD and all he can find the strength to do is track the movement of Eddie’s body as he falls. Buck’s sole focus is Eddie - his best friend, his partner, his heart.
We’ve all seen the screencap/photo of the stare down before Eddie collapses, but the camera gave us a close up of Eddie angling his head to look right at Buck before he fell. Eddie knew he was quickly losing consciousness and wanted to seek comfort from something familiar before (he assumed) it was too late.
The slow crawl of Eddie’s hand right before the camera cuts back to Buck breathing heavy and refusing to take his gaze off of Eddie? Absolute pain.
Eddie moving his head ever so slightly to get one final good look at Buck? I hate it!
Buck realizing Eddie doesn’t have it in him to fight and lowering his own face to the pavement because his soul has literally been shattered? They only ever wanted to go together, right? That’s always been the (unspoken) agreement.
I give everyone involved endless praise and credit. We watched a love story play out in less than 90 seconds. That’s all they needed.
