Created by: Joe Weltjens.

Year of creation: 1997.

User: Unnamed blind Stand user.

History: This unnamed Stand belongs to a minor antagonist in the American comic Diesel. The user was the subordinate of what may have been a minor antagonist named Chibot, who used his unnamed Stand to kill the blind Stand user.

History of creation: In 1996, comic book writer Joe Weltjens received a fan-sub version of the 1993 Stardust Crusaders OVA. Deciding that the story should be brought to America, he approached the company he worked for, Antarctic Press, about translating the manga. When they couldn't afford the licensing rights for JoJo, Weltjens created Diesel's first and only issue.

Appearance: The Stand is a not-so-subtle knock of the Stand Geb from Stardust Crusaders. While Geb is made from a separate body of water, this Stand is made from the user's blood.

Ability: Aside from the singular difference of being made of blood, the Stand has the same abilities as Geb. The user seems to have large, metallic blades instead of fingernails to quickly withdraw his blood. However, whether that results from his Stand or just a regular part of his body is unknown.

Trivia: The fight with this character has a panel likely referencing Jotaro yelling, "It's an enemy Stand!" from 1993 OVA.

after he’d been working all day, she’d asked him if he wanted to spend some time unwinding and playing games with her in the program. unsurprisingly, even though she was trying to get him to relax, she was the one who started nodding off first. nestled up against his side, she was warm and comfortable enough that even while she played with him, she began to fall asleep.

a few minutes later, she came awake suddenly to realize he’d started to doze off as well. sensing an excellent opportunity, she simply curled up tighter against him to try and get him to lower his guard.

once she felt like he was least expecting an attack, she prepared herself. without warning him, chiaki swiftly turned her head and gave him a kiss along the jaw. 

something about the expected reaction... yep, it was a little fiendish, but she liked to see him blush.

Joe Weltens and JoJo

Okay, so I've already made a post of the JoJo ripoff comic, Diesel. However, I didn't really say much in regards to said comic, other that it existed and that one of the stands referenced a music magazine or something, so I'm making this post as a means of better explaining things according to what I can find at the time.

Jochen "Joe" Weltjens, also known by the alias Guru-eFX, is a multi-talented artist whose worked with multiple companies over the years, most recently with Marvel.

According to Weltjens himself, he once found a bootleg fansub of the second half of the Stardust Crusaders OVA, which covered a condensed version of everything between N'Doul and DIO. He was apparently so impressed by what he saw that he approached his company at the time, Antarctic Press, with the idea of publishing an official translation of the original manga. However, he was apparently denied in what I would imagine was a pretty open and shut case, as in an attempt to bring JoJo to western audiences, he would take the basic plot of the OVA he had and Americanize it into what we know as "Diesel". People have debated the legitimacy of his claims and whether or not it's a valid excuse, but never the less, it's interesting to read about.

Diesel: Master of Dragons

Released: April 1997

The main protagonist of the comic is Thomas Diesel, who possesses a super-strong stand named 『Meta Hammer』. He and a group of stand users are brought together by mutual friend Mary "Puffy" Evans to consult the recent death of her father at the hands of the villainous Mr. Botha. The next morning, one of the Stand users, Joseph, goes outside to investigate the area for any enemies and ends up getting attacked and killed by an N'Doul expy who can control a puddle of his own blood as a Stand ability.

After another member of the group, Alex Oliver, gets incapacitated when his feet are cut off, Tom decides to face the user himself, accompanied by team dog Chewbacca (who, unlike Iggy, has no stand). He ends up finding the user, and before he gets any info out of him, he is killed by another enemy named Chibot, who Tom seems to know. He doesn't say much after doing the deed, just that Tom had passed the first test. End story.

Other protagonists introduced include Jet Lee, whose Stand's fingers can be used as grappling hooks, and Azizi, whose Stand is the only one that has its name given, 『Black Templar』. It controls fire, much like Magician's Red. Joseph and May both control different types of electricity, and we don't get to see Alex do anything before being befooted. There is also mention of another character named "Ryuo", aka the Dragon King, but nothing is really given about him outside of a quick mention. It's likely he was relevant to the story, given the subtitle, and might be connected to Mr. Botha.

D-Generation

Released: February and April 1996

A year before the release of Diesel, Weltjens used the concept of stands in another one of his works, this being a backup story in the comic Battle Nun Areala: Rituals, issues 4 and 5. The latter of the two stories establishes that the protagonist, Jaki Hughes, has been receiving visions that she will join a team of oddities under the name Omen and fight against an evil cult led by Abbadon, the angel of hell. The former of the two showcases one of these heroes that she meets: James "Jimi Mac" McGlotten and his stand 『Kobalt』, who may I add looks more like a bootleg Star Platinum then 『Meta Hammer』 ever will.

Abbadon has sent his agents to kill him to prevent him from joining then team that Jaki has seen in her visions, but Jimi has help in the form of May Evans, who doesn't seem to have a stand here. Despite this, it is my belief that, if these two stories are somewhat connected, that this takes place after Diesel, both due to the existence of stands in this world, and the ending of the story.

May tries to escape with Jimi by car, but they end up cornered, so Jimi is forced to summon his stand to get themselves out. Weird thing about this, though, is that the enemy agents can all see 『Kobalt』, and are even trying to restrain it. The head agent tries to shoot Jimi, but May shoots his gun out of his hands. After this shock, he then either picks it back up or grabs another gun and kill May in retaliation, with the last thing we see before Jaki wakes up from her dream, though the beginning of the next part states that Jimi went on a grief-stricten rampage as he escaped.
