This climber Rosa 'Korbin' (rose Iceberg) was purchased in a packet as a bare root plant from a market stall 12 years ago. It has used larger shrubs for support and developed a considerable stem. The pruning of the old flower heads results in three sessions of blooms a year. This reliable cultivar has glossy, green foliage and clusters of fragrant, double white flowers.

Cottage garden, California style! Look at that vigorous Climbing Cecile Brunner rose totally engulfing the rustic wood arbor. Isn’t that glorious? The photo was taken on my recent trip to La Jolla, California, but I have seen a Cecile Brunner rose growing up the side of a building at a local nursery here in Austin as well. I am tinkering with the idea of planting this rose in my own garden and let it climb along a fence. What do you think, shall I give it a try? Anyone having experience with growing this rose? My grandad was the king of roses. He may not have had much in the way of money, but he had a council house with a big garden. Remember those?
