👻 What is your wildest headcanon?
I don't know how wild it is, but I do often think about Brian's background around SES. He comes from a working class family with few resources and he managed to make it to college and into a very successful career where he would have to blend with people who come from far more privilege. He does it seemingly seamlessly but I often wonder and imagine what it was like for him learning how to integrate into this different culture. I think his friendship with Lindsay in college probably played a role as he served as her beard for family functions. I can imagine her instructing him (kindly). Much like Justin did for Michael when he was dating Dr. Dave.
🤩 What led to your interest in the fandom?
I wrote terrible fanfic when I was in high school (late nineties) and then kind of "forgot" about it. I then watched QAF in the early aughts and was, of course, devastated by prom and the ending. Flash forward to... circa 2017 and there was a lot going on in my life between changing jobs and my partner's health problems, and I was escaping through a QAF rematch and was reminded that fanfiction exists (ironically on a podcast where one of the podcasters mentioned seeking out cmbyn fix-it fics) and searched and found some QAF fanfiction on fandom specific sites and then AO3 and then pushed my way into becoming friends with LVER and she told me to write so I did.
💌 Is there a favorite trope you like to write?
Oh darling, hurt/comfort. Especially in an established relationship. Just low-key knowing each other and what the other needs and making sure they get that. I think also, surprisingly, angst with a happy ending. Just a little suffering and trauma for my favorite blorbos to make a happy ending all the more worthwhile.

Sort of started a fix about Alphard Black, Sirius’s uncle.
I might make it an actual project if I can develop it a bit more.
I’m sort of hoping I can give him a very Elio from cmbyn, very Regulus Black, very poet esc vibe that I’m trying to run with.
I’m basing it off of ATYD Sirius’s mentions of him, so maybe some queers in the 40s-50s??? I will be doing my extensive research so don’t worry, but I’ll also be making it more chill because they’re wizards. It’ll be interesting given I can make alit happen with Black Family Drama while he’s at school, but I’m not sure if I could add a lot of filler from his graduation to his death??? Might be interesting???
I’ve got his whole family tree mapped out in my head, and I’m editing the ages of some people to make him have cousins his age at school he can be friends with, but we’ll get some Walpurga backstory…
Idk, send any idea you have or head cannons you’ve got and I’ll try and include them!

You know what pisses me off to the nth degree? When people say that Jimin isn’t queer but they justify their opinion by comparing what he’s done (or rather, what he hasn’t done) to what Taehyung has done. In other words, “Tae mentions queer media often!”. Like, have you considered that maybe it’s a lot easier for a straight man (or at least straight presenting by nasty stereotypical norms) in a conservative country to talk about queer media and artists and give recommendations, etc., than it is for an actual queer person to do it? Another thing: I hate to say it but there’s a reason why the harassment and insults against Jimin are almost always homophobic/transphobic — it’s because he’s more stereotypically queer in appearance. That doesn’t mean he is queer, obviously, but when you combine that with the things he’s said, how he’s presented himself as, the coding he puts into his work — it starts to become a lot clearer why he chooses a different approach to these things. It’s especially insane because when Jimin does things that indicate him not being straight/cis/etc., it’s blatantly ignored; It’s the stylist’s choice, Koreans don’t know about XYZ, so on and so forth. Because apparently the only type of “hinting” towards ones sexuality is saying you like CMBYN. Or something of the likes. It all reeks of a very specific, sometimes entirely western-centric way of sexuality/gender expression and coding.
The thing is... Jimin doesn't even talk about the STRAIGHT media he watches. It's not like he deliberately doesn't talk about queer media, he just DOESN'T TALK about what he watches or listens to. It would be an argument if he were super into sharing about the movies or the dramas he watches or the artists he listens to, and somehow we'd know that he purposefully avoided talking about the queer ones or had a bad reaction to it. But he doesn't really talk about movies or TV at all. So I don't get the comparisons.
I really think Jimin doesn't have a personality of a someone that's fan of people, that's a fan of media. Have you noticed how he doesn't seem to have a favorite artist, he doesn't really go to concerts as much as like for example, JK does. He said in 2019 that he didn't have role moles growing up, etc. He really is just a dude in that sense. It's not that he doesn't enjoy music or TV, but he doesn't seem to become a fan. I've met lot of people like that, that don't really have fixed interests or are fans of anything. My brother is one of those people.
I agree that maybe it's more difficult for Jimin to point out gay media if he's queer himself, it would be totally understandable. It doesn't necessarily have to be because of that, tho. Personally, I'm queer and I don't really talk about gay media that much. I actually think gay movies suck most of the time 😭 my favorite singer is Taylor Swift, who's literally the straightest woman that has ever lived and all her songs, songs that I know by heart and sing at the top of my lungs, are about men. My favorite movies are also romantic movies with straight couples. None of that makes me straight.
You know when was the first time I watched call me by your name? During quarantine in 2020. It was around late May or June 2020, that was my first time watching that movie. My brother, a straight guy that just likes cinema, watched it the year it came out while me, the gay of the family who just doesn't care that much about cinema, watched a gay movie 3 years later.
Everytime someone asks me to recommend them queer media, my mind goes blank. I can't think of more than two or three movies/TV shows because I just don't watch that many. And the majority of media I consume and enjoy, it's straight.
Taehyung is clearly someone who just loves movies, period. He has shared about his love or interest in a lot of queer media and artists, but that doesn't make him queer. He's also shown the same interest and love for "straight" media, too. Not only that, but all the songs he's written are for women. Also, the gay movies Taehyung has mentioned have several other elements that he likes in general, I mean CMBYN's whole aesthetic, it's a "foreign film", you know, all that snob/snob wannabe stuff that he likes. It's not like he'd suddenly come out and say he loves Fire Island or RuPaul. He even likes Lady Gaga because apparently she invented jazz 😭😭😭😭😭 C'MON.. be for real. He likes her because she's singing the type of music that he likes, but he's never said anything about her whole career before jazz, which was the Lady Gaga that gays actually liked.
If Jimin comes out with an album that he's handwritten himself and all of the songs turn out to be for a woman, THEN that would be something that would force me to at least reconsider a lot of what I believed about his sexuality, but until then... Nothing he's ever said or done imo indicates that he's straight.

Timmy’s eyelids twitched, his fingers clenched and he awoke with a start. With his face smooshed into the mattress and eyes still mostly closed he reached blindly with one hand towards the other side of the bed. Finding nothing, he turned his head, cracked his eyes open further and stared blearily to find the other side empty, the covers drawn back. Timmy rolled onto his back, bringing his hands up to scrub over his face and push his hair out of his eyes.
Hearing movement in the apartment, Timmy swung his feet out of bed and got up. He pulled on a pair of rumpled boxers and padded out of the room and down the hall. He raked a hand lazily through his dishevelled bedhead, leaving his dark curls even more tousled than before.
Hearing sounds in the kitchen, he walked in and straight over to his boyfriend who was standing at the stove, fixing something in a frying pan. Timmy wrapped his arms around him tightly from behind, and pressed his face into his broad shoulder. “Umm,” he murmured, inhaling deeply, “that smells good.”
“Good morning to you too, sleeping beauty,” Armie said, smiling and turning his head to nuzzle his nose into his boyfriend’s hair and press a kiss to his forehead.
“Oh, yeah, morning,” Timmy mumbled, rising up onto his tiptoes and lifting his chin for a kiss.

Summary: Timmy attends the only Academy Awards afterparty he's actually interested in.
It's a party for two in a hotel room and the jacket stays on.

Snip:
They stumbled into the hotel room, laughing and kissing and fumbling, hands blindly pulling at clothes in their haste. Armie gently pushed Timmy back against the door, leaned down and attached his lips to Timmy’s neck.
“F*cking finally!” Timmy gasped, tipping his head back and frantically grasping at Armie’s broad shoulders.
“Dramatic,” Armie breathed heavily, his lips pressing kisses along Timmy’s jawline. He took the lobe of Timmy’s ear into his mouth and sucked hard. Timmy shivered and Armie grinned, grazing his teeth along the flesh before giving it a sharp nip.
Timmy gasped and clutched at Armie, raking his fingernails behind his ears and down his neck.
“It’s been six hours, Armie,” he whined, “six whole hours. I’m practically dying here. Dying of blue balls.”
Armie huffed a laugh. “What a tragically fitting end for Hollywood’s biggest drama queen.”
He pushed his hand beneath the lapel of Timmy’s jacket – Timmy’s f*cking sparkly lace jacket – and sucked a kiss into Timmy’s skin, just out of sight past the edge of the material. He ran his hands appreciatively over Timmy’s chest again, a secret smile twisting the corner of his mouth as his thumb ran over the faded purple mark he’d sucked into Timmy’s skin days ago. The one he knew had already been spotted by Timmy’s fans – their fans, he corrected himself – in the press photos already flooding the internet.

So, as a huge fan of his, here's some that I'll recommend to you: "Dune", "The French Dispatch" (directed by Wes Anderson, which I think you'll like given your blog is based by "The Grand Budapest Hotel"), "The King", "Call Me By Your Name" (also directed by Luca Guadagnino), "Beautiful Boy" and "Miss Stevens". You definitely won't regret it!

Elio wakes to the mid-afternoon sun pouring in through the hotel room windows. The sounds of the bustling Rome streets filter up from below, and a smile tilts his lips as Oliver murmurs in his sleep, rocking the thickness of his erection against the globes of his ass. They should have been at the airport an hour ago, and Elio’s body still aches from the desperation with which they’d made love that morning, clinging to each other tightly as tears soaked their cheeks.
Oliver’s arm is tucked beneath their shared pillow, the other wrapped protectively around Elio’s waist, holding him close. The bed is too small, the sheets coarse and itchy, but they fit together curve-for-curve, and feeling sheltered from the world that awaits them beyond these four walls, Elio presses the soles of his feet to the tops of Oliver’s, wriggling his toes just enough to tease his most ticklish spots.
A sleepy grumble comes from behind him, the fingers in Elio’s eyeline flexing gently when Oliver shifts his leg, pinning his thigh to the mattress. Still asleep, he nuzzles into his nape, each steady breath caressing the shell of his ear, and Elio fights down a laugh as his spine tingles at the sensation. It feels like he’s manifested a dream, and reaching down, he covers the hand at his hip, tracing over Oliver’s knuckles until the lips at his neck stretch into a wide grin.
“Good afternoon,” Oliver whispers, voice gravelly.
Elio hums low in his throat. “Far better than I thought it would be,” he confesses, sighing happily when Oliver drops a kiss to his shoulder. “Hungry?”
“Starved.”
Elio shifts onto his back , stretching out his well-used muscles as he tries to remember if there are any pastries left over from the Pasticceria. “What would you like to eat?” he asks through a yawn, and Oliver smirks as he curls into his side, circles a nipple with his fingertip, then looks him straight in the eye.
“You.”
