Cotyledon orbiculata
Cotyledon is a genus in the Crassulaceae, or Stonecrop Family, and they have a wide occurrence in southern Africa. Much the most common species (both in nature and in horticulture) is Cotyledon orbiculata, and it is highly variable in size, leaf shape, and time of flowering. This form, from the Waterberg mountain range in northern South Africa, has the earliest flowering and the reddest flowers of any form we have grown. Its bright flowers, held on tall stalks, are a welcome burst of color in late winter to early spring.

More grafting practice! Featuring the pepper and hibiscus!
My plans for the season assuming I don’t get executive dysfunction like last year are to try and graft together multi-variety plants to try and save space while having more cultivars of things like tomatoes and tomatillos and peppers.
Idk if Crassulacaea can be grafted or if they want to callus and root too quickly at any hint of injury bc they’re xerophytes, but I’m seeing if I can try and graft my favorite Cotyledon orbiculata onto the more vigorous one.

I love how in gardening you can do Mad Science but it’s just accepted practice to chop stuff apart and sometimes graft em back together! Plants are so weird.

Cotyledon orbiculata
There are multiple species of Cotyledon native to South Africa, but Cotyledon orbiculata is much the most common and widespread, as well as the most variable. Its leaves may be green, gray or white, often with a narrow red margin, and they may be paddle-shaped or round or cylindrical. While its flowers are always pendulous, they may be red, coral or orange. The plant pictured is a form with green leaves edged with red, and pale salmon-colored flowers. The genus Cotyledon is part of the Crassulaceae, or Stonecrop Family.

Hej, sorry if this is super random but are you the author of the Midoryia/Shinsou/Todoroki fic that’s very long, completed, explicit and was posted to ao3. pov character is shinsou. it follows shinsou and his journey through becoming part of class a, becoming a hero, and falling in love and into a relationship with midoryia and todoroki. It’s just a really good coming of age story. Plus I’m pretty sure there was some super short background bakugo/kirishima. + it detailed the 2nd year sports festival where momo won because she used her quirk to create poison.
I can’t find the fic anywhere but I do remember it. It kinda makes me think of you, so just incase I wanted to ask if that was your fic or if you know what fic I’m talking about?
i think the fic you're looking for is Cotyledon by Sholosha. i did not write it, but Sho is a friend of mine! unfortunately they do no have a tumblr, so if you were looking for the person as well as the fic, i am sorry. it's very good, and if anyone who sees this post likes todoshindeku and/or really well written explorations of polyamory, you should totally read it! here is the summary:
It's his second year at UA, and Shinsou is finally, finally, transferring to the hero course. He's ready, he thinks, or hopes— either way, it doesn't matter, 'cause he's going to show everyone he's got what it takes. And it also doesn't matter that the longer he spends in the program, the more he can't stop thinking about a certain freckled wannabe-friend, and the more he's noticing that a certain stoic classmate is paying him a lot more attention than he'd like.
Whatever. Irrelevant. He's here to be a hero, not make friends. Even if they would be the first ones he's made in...ever. But it's his second year, and he's going to make it count by focusing on what's important.
His name is Shinsou Hitoshi, and he's going to be a goddamn hero.
