Y'all have NO idea how weak I am for Shang Qinghua calling Bingbing his son. Everytime EVERY SINGLE TIME in any fanfic he whips out the "my son" card, my cucumbers crops are watered, my skin gets cleared and my happiness is immeasurable. Yeah that's his son alright! That's his little murder baby that he traumatized to hell and back, but still adores to the heavens and above.

Do you guys know those modern bingyuan au's where shen yuan sees modern lbh and just stalks him because he looks identical to his blobo luo binghe from PIDW?

Sooo imagine a cumplane au where shen yuan see Airplane in a convention running to do some odd job there and sy is just dumbfounded how almost identical that random is to luo binghe (at least how he imagines him)

Now that random ofc has alot of diferences to how lbh is mostly depicted, first of all the random is fully human so no demon features, the guy instead of being tall and lean with some muscle he is a shorty (he is not short he is 172/5'8 he is avarege) that is kinda chubby and his hair is not abyss black but a shitty dyed brown hair and him being a normal human he has very prominent eye bags and some acne scars but besides those diferences he was basicly identical to how lbh was depicted in his fanarts even having some of his headcannons that ware extremely unpopular on the fandom! (Frackles) he wasn't as scary as the beloved cruel demon emperor but he had hit all the boxes to be the perfect luo binghe in his white lotus era! And like any normal pidw fan he just really wanted to protect and take care of him

And like any normal person he really tried to find him but it was really hard to stalk someone when you didn't even got the name of the person, frustrated he decided to do the next best thing and just decided to take care of airplane, it's the best next thing right?

Airplane after getting the weirdest and shadiest dm from one of his haters, perless cucumber, to be his roommate and in exchange he would have to write "actually good chapters" and since if he died he wouldn't have to pay any bills, he accepted this offer

After they decided to meet at a random Café shen yuan has a closet gay crises over airplane being the white lotus binghe clone and airplane has a gay crises over his biggest hater being almost his type (especially cucumber-bro being a tsundere and airplane being a big masochist) and then they settle being weird roommates together!

This au would basicly be shen yuan trying to be a good bro and being a bunch of red flags but luckily for him Airplane bro favorite color since he is lbh og source and the au is a comedy so it's okay to be creepy lol

Also footnote, airplanes name in this fic wouldn’t be shang qinghua (because I enjoy the idea of sqh being very diferent then irl Airplane in appearance and name) his name would be

洛冬快 Aka: Luo DongKuai because I wanted to mix shang qinghua's name logic with Luo binghe's lol (with 冬 dong meaning winter, and 快 kuai meaning speed, this is what my limited Chinese could come up with lol)

Also other footnote because I noticed a weird trend of country's with low fertility rates just decide to just put babies in brazilian woman and because I am brazilian, Airplane bro is part brazilian by his mom's side! I just think it's neat!

i have to admit i am a basic moshang lover at heart, they are just the perfect combo of angst/genuine emotions/beautiful themes and very funny that i love. shang qinghua is mr. boop and also mobei-jun's god and the jaken to his sesshomaru. mobei jun is his blorbo and his abuser and his annoying boss. they have a 20-30 year age difference. they dont even get together at the end of the moshang extras they just continue to have a weird boss/employee relationship and someday get their shit together off-screen. its everything to me

when writing moshang, i think the best things for me are the available tension of mobei jun's treatment of shang qinghua, contrasted against the genuine softness i think mobei jun feels for him and shang qinghua's deeply ingrained self worth issues. its just such a delicious cocktail for both drama and sweetness! and for some reason when together, they give me that very solid 'married couple who can basically psychically communicate' vibe, compared to bingqiu's messy freudian college girl energy (also beloved to me)

THAT SAID. i do think there are other very fun or funny pairings for sqh that i would love to see more of tbh.

A) SQH/YQY. this is mostly just because i love @tossawary's hey, share the weight a little, which is so cute and honestly mostly comes down to 'two great tastes that taste great together' for me. not my fav for either of them but deserves honorable mention for being the main non-moshang sqh pairing with a fic i love

B) SQH/LQG. i think that shang qinghua gets him. he COULD fix him, by which in this case i mean use his mildly conniving nature, excellent planning skills, and sneakiness to improve liu qingge's quality of life through trickery. and i think that shang qinghua could really benefit from a loving and devoted partner who doesn't have that much more emotional intelligence than him, but who would make him eat full meals, sleep, and get some fresh air.

C) SQH/TLJ - SQH/TLJ/SXY - SQH/SXY... its just so funny. i think they could be enchanted by his weird little man swag. his mildly evil heart and his big brown eyes. and i think he'd find them mildly unsettling which is also funny

D) MQF/SQH. i have never seen or written any content for this but i kind of want it very badly now that ive thought of it. sqh can get rare and weird information for him, mqf would be 'i can fix him' for sqh's crippling anxiety and tendency to get injured by demons, they are both workaholics... this would be a magical combo

i do sometimes read cumplane and think they can be very fun and/or cute, but its not really a fav sqh pairing of mine, nor is sqh/og!sqq, altho ik those are probably the other two most popular pairings for him. i just think he should be w someone who appreciates how smart he is and idk that either of them do that for me... they, in turn, seem to me like guys who want to be the smart one in a relationship 😂

anyways i really took 'in as much detail as possible' and ran with it so i hope this answers your question hahaha. many thoughts about this man that live in my brain 😌

Binghe keeps gaining new fathers. First Tianlang-jun. Then Shang Qinghua (though I guess SQH comes first since he created TLJ and LBH, but Bingbing finds out about TLJ first). Then Shang Qinghua got married to Mobei-Jun, so now his own general is his step-father. Now he's waiting for Tianlang-Jun to maybe find some idiotic sucker and get married and boom... second step-father.

Special mention for whatever the fuck is going on between Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu and what that might entail for Binghe... yeah he's not going to touch with a ten foot pole cucumber.

I know I posted a lot of Binghe, Bingqiu and Cumplane [platonic] over the last few days, counting down to the first part, but this is still mainly a Moshang story. Shang Qinghua is the main character and Mobei Jun does his best to be there for him, even though he does not always know how to express it. Sometimes he even adds to the problems SQH faces. Still, he will be there to shield his beloved from harm.

where's that scum villain post abt how many ships there are that involve the same people who also aren't the same peopl. like bingqiu (binghe aka bingmei/shen qingqiu aka previously shen yuan) is my beloved. my top tier. my silly rabbits. the guys who rewrote my brain. but i don't really go to bingqiu (binghe aka bingge/shen qingqiu aka previously shen yuan). nor do i really go to bingqiu (binghe aka bingge/shen qingqiu aka previously shen jiu). but bing-squared (binghe aka bingmei/binghe aka bingge)? delicious. two completely different people who were once the same person and i love that for them. but shen-squared (shen qingqiu aka previously shen yuan/shen qingqiu aka previously shen jiu)? not really my cup of tea. but i do love bingshenbing (bing-squared/shen qingqiu aka previously shen yuan). for the spice and drama and double binghes. but don't even get me started on bingyuan (bingmei/shen yuan aka the guy who becomes shen qingqiu in another life) and bingyuan (bingge/shen yuan aka the guy who becomes shen qingqiu in another life). i have loved every AU iteration i have seen of those bastards. once again top tier.
