Hi, so i just finished rereading did you miss me (and before that you be my detonator and dressing up like a cat) and it just hit me how good you write about feelings, it's in how the relationship between poison and ghoul grew, the falling in love so slowly you can almost taste how much they ache missing each other, the longing of ghost gerard to touch another body... you write about love/feelings like it's a very fragile and delicate thing you have to carry on the palm of your hands with the upmost care and it shows. Same for gender stuff in relation to gerard, the way it gets described in the hotel room fic, the lines in fix your heart or the cat ears fic, it's done beautifully and so respectfully and you make it look almost easy when in reality it's harder to nail properly. I wanted to leave this as a comment on did you miss me but I felt kinda weird when it's a more general commentary, but I remembered about your tumblr so I hope you don't mind me dropping this here (I'm cutesnails on ao3)

Hi! Thank you so, so much, your message really made my day. This is such a beautiful compliment and I'm so happy someone is so into my work, that they reread it and put so much thought into it <3

To be honest though, I think my characters mostly treat interpersonal relationships as something so fragile because I project my personal brand of social anxiety onto them lmao. However, I am also extremely soft for all kinds of human connections, so that probably shows.

And you know, usually when someone makes an insightful observation about my writing, I'm immediately tempted to start monologuing about the technical details behind it. But when it comes to the emotions as well as the gender stuff, there's really only one thing I have to say - thanks, I'm trying.
