Music and sound design are so fascinating to me, like no I can’t do anything musically inclined rn like how I can paint, but it doesn’t matter. I will spend hours listening to someone explain passionately how a song works and the theories behind it etc and it is so so cool and I’m okay with it being a hobby and not a career

Its had many delays and is long overdue but I’ll be releasing the ultimate SpongeBob ships tier list tomorrow. Before I do, here are a few things to keep in mind:

All pairings have been unironically considered at least once by at least one person

Even if a single person said something like “I don’t really ship it but it has potential” or “I think I’ve seen it or heard of it once” or merely mentioned the ship a way that doesn't come off as mocking or sarcastic, it counts

Crackships also count (as long as they're genuine)

This tier is best suited for those very familiar with the Tumblr side of the fandom and have the deepest SpongeBob hyperfixation (like me)

In other words, I expect a lot of people to put a lot of ships in the “how is this a thing?” tier lol

Unfortunately, some pretty terrible pairings will be included, but I gotta follow my own rules and put in every SpongeBob ship I can find, regardless of how I feel about the pairing itself

Despite the many pairings I’ve uncovered, the list may still be incomplete, so feel free to share any SpongeBob ships I may have missed, even after I post the tier list (assuming I can add extra images to my own template)

Ships from the musical won't be included (see tags for explanation)

I even compiled a chart for my own reference that shows the characters involved in the ship, as well as something that validates its existence (whether it’s a link to fanart or something else). So if you find yourself completely flabbergasted by some of the pairings, feel free to send me an ask or dm asking for proof that they exist
