no, camila found her daughter a long time ago.
(and so what if she was different after being found? really, mrs. noceda, you shouldn't expect her to be the same girl she was before. what five year old wouldn't be changed from such a traumatic experience?)

Y'all know Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper?
Sanders Sides AU based off that.
Annalise: Remus
Erika: Roman
Julian: Logan
Dominick: Janus
Berttie: Virgil and Patton (I like the idea of them working together)
Queen Genevieve: Thomas
Preminger: Dragon Witch
So, the reason for Remus being Annalise and not Roman, I feel it's easier for Roman to disguise himself as Remus than it is for Remus to disguise himself as Roman. Get some dye and fake mustache, intense eyeshadow, physically, identical. You can hardly see the difference, if at all. He'd just have to get his personality down.
And unlike the movie, the two are actually twins. Roman was stolen by a chambermaid who wanted a son of her own. She raised him with her husband, claiming he was orphaned, as his mother "died" giving birth to him. She made no mention of his brother, ever. So, he grows up as a common pauper. But one day, his "parents" die and he has to go live with the woman they were indebted to. Madame Carp.
Once he begins living with her, she puts him to work. It's from working with her that he meets Patton and his son, Virgil.
The two were also indebted to the woman, and Patton had been working for her since Virgil was a baby, while Virgil had only spent a few years working for her. Patton was actually pretty young when Virgil was born, but he wasn't well off. So, he turned to the woman who was said to give off the best money. He'd have to pay her back, but for his son? It would be worth it.
Logan as Julian just makes sense. He's smart and well mannered. He has a good sense in priorities and honestly, hecause he isn't royalty, doesn't see a chance for him and the prince to get married. He knows Remus the best, and he knows the only reason he is getting married is due to his brother not being there. Remus wasn't meant to be the crowned prince. Roman was.
Janus as Dominick is something I wasn't too sure of. I liked the idea of him doing what Dominick did and disguising himself to meet his bride. And when he revisits as himself, and actually meets "Remus" he knows right away this isn't Remus. Something is off, but he won't say, because this is the boy whose voice caught his heart. He wants to know "Remus" more. Maybe he might even get the chance to ask him who he really was. To tell him they would run off together. No one would ever know Prince "Remus" wasn't Prince "Remus."
Back to Roman, palace life seems like it was meant for him. Things come naturally to him. Almost as if, he was actually meant to be there. But things wouldn't last. Remus would be found, and he would leave. Most likely, to travel, become the actor he's always wanted to be. He and Remus had struck an unlikely friendship, so maybe he could ask him to help pay off not only his debt, but Patton and Virgil's. But he doesn't want to leave it behind. For one, he's starting to fall for Janus. For another, hearing the rumored tales of a missing prince captures his ears one too many times.
Remus, on the other hand, is looking for life outside of royalty. Had Roman been around since birth, Remus would have been given the title of Duke. But his twin was taken away in the night, leaving him alone and to take the title of Prince. He doesn't act royal, and he despises that he has to. He'd much rather spend his days studying anatomy or searching for insects and rodents. He wants to get his hands dirty, and he only ever gets the chance to do that with Logan, as the man knows he enjoys things on the more, disgusting and unpleasant side.
When the "Dragon Witch" kidnaps him and manages to keep him somewhere remote, part of him is relieved to be outside of the royal life, but other does worry about his father and tutor, the two who cared the most about him. Logan, who would always do his best to have their studies be around what Remus enjoyed. And Thomas, who would always send him apologetic glances, knowing his youngest son didn't want the life he had and wishing he could let him do what he wishes, but he's a King. His people come first. He's already lost one son, he couldn't lose the other.
So, when he does, he's devastated. What did he do wrong? His Queen had passed years ago, a few years after the twins birth. She would never know if Roman was found. She would never see Remus get married and become King. What did Thomas do wrong? And then, Logan finds "Remus" and he's overjoyed. His son was found. And with one found, he could find the other. So he makes plans for his guards to find Roman. But for now, he has "Remus" to focus on.
Meanwhile, Remus has actually escaped thanks to his pet rat. He's making his way home, and once he's there, he's turned away. The prince is already inside.
The prince is already inside. But that's impossible, right? He's outside. Wanting to get in.
But no matter what, he's turned away. So, he makes his way into the village, where he runs into Madame Carp. She believes he's Roman, telling him he was nuts for believing dying his hair and growing a mustache as quickly as he did wouldn't fool anyone into believing he was the Prince. "Roman" is then shoved into her shop, told to work, and locked in.
"Roman" hears his name being called out, and he turns to the two males in the shop. The one with glasses continues to speak, asking if it really was Roman. The one in purple, however, looks at him suspiciously. He knows this isn't his best friend. So, Remus tells the truth. And they believe him. Especially after he proves he can't sew. But they devise a plan to help him. So, they send off Remus' pet rat with a note to the palace. The dragon witch catches the rodent, takes the note, and plans her future as Queen.
She makes sure no one follows her to the shop, where she "rescues" Remus. However, instead of taking him home, she takes him to the mines, where Logan was being held since he was captured after he himself had gone to look for the Prince when he was first captured. Once their both trapped inside, she makes he way back to the palace.
And that's when things go south. She tells the guards to seize the "Prince." When demanded to explain herself, she tells them he was an imposter working for Logan. To show proof, she demanded them to see the royal mark, one that the Prince got when he turned of age. Thomas looks at his "son," pulls his sleeve down, and sees no mark. The Dragon Witch's own pet raven then rips the fake mustache off. It's not Remus. And once again, Thomas is devastated.
Roman is dragged off, yelling his innocence, how he was just trying to help. Janus says nothing about knowing. He keeps quiet. He believes him. But he was on his own to help Roman. He just had to wait for his chance.
The Dragon Queen then makes her proposal to Thomas. Telling the sorrowful King of her own wealth and how his people would prosper with them ruling together. So, their wedding is planned for the next day.
Roman and Remus are both trapped. Things seem like their ending. But both preservier. Roman, the next day, works on his own escape, while Remus and Logan finally get their feelings together.
The wedding is underway. Thomas is doing it for his people. The Dragon Witch for power. Janus has disguised himself as a guard and recaptured Roman after he escaped, claiming to take him to the King on his own orders. Remus and Logan are making their way back, thanks to Remus' rat and a cat that they assume belongs to Roman.
And just as Thomas is about to say his "I do" so his bride can say hers, Remus shows up. The Dragon Witch claims it isn't him, only for him to reveal the mark. It is him. And Thomas embraces his son, asking what happened, where he was. And Remus quickly claims his bride to be was at fault. The panic sets in her eyes and she flees. Thomas orders his guards to follow her and her men. She's to be arrested. And Logan and Janus join on the chase. The two have their own words to say. Logan for his and Remus' capture, and Janus for her lies. How he knew something was up. And now she had to face justice.
Eventually, she and her men are caught and locked up. Roman and Remus are relieved. Things may go back to normal. Thomas thanks Roman, telling him that he not only owed the boy an apology, but his gratitude. And Roman? He just wants to leave. Madame Carp has made life miserable, and while palace life was amazing, he needed to get away for a while. So, when Remus brings up the cavern of geodes and other minerals, and later, when the gold the Dragon Witch had stolen is recovered, the first thing he does, is pay of Roman's and Patton's debt to Madame Carp. He owes them that much at least. The first for being his friend. The other for caring about him. They deserved it. Remus might have also gotten his rat to eat at her dresses to help ruin her business, alongside well descriptive details on how she treated her employees.
Her business ruined, she has no choice but to leave. And with her shop now for sale, Patton and Virgil buy it with help from Remus. The Dress Emporium becomes a bakery. The Heart Bakery becomes a success for its caring baker and sassy delivery boy.
Roman becomes a well known actor. Before he left to travel, he and Janus spoke. And Janus explained how he knew. Something about him was off, when he was "Remus." But he was glad to get to know Roman. To marry him one day. So, Roman kept the ring. And one day, made the decision to return home. And Janus was there, waiting.
And so was Logan.
Who didn't want to share his discoveries until Roman returned.
Before his father died from an illness, he was the royal doctor. He kept records of the princes health and prints. While Roman's were only taken from birth, Logan had secretly taken prints of the boy's hand before he left.
The only difference was the size. Other than that, it was a match. The boy parading as "Remus" when he went missing, was the missing prince.
