DCxDP Idea:
A Jazz is Lex Luthor's daughter AU where they find out when Jazz is an adult, and Lex asks to meet her but Jazz only shows up to ream him out for his xenophobia. She gives a blistering explanation of how his arguments for Superman being dangerous are all very obviously classic racist/anti-immigrant arguments, and asks why she'd ever want to develop a relationship with a man like that. They are in public at the time because Lex is hoping for good publicity, and it goes completely viral.

wild as fuck how trans men on here can openly and flippantly accuse random innocent trans women of being pedos to drum up moral outrage against them quickly, and when people start to point out that hey, that’s insane, she’s never done or said anything like that, these shithead dudes are like “well she said something racist too or is into incest or raceplay or something else that’ll stick despite not being on any of her blogs so it’s like whatever” and then their audiences are just like ohhh ok and everybody forgets and forgives the blatant pedojacketing while keeping the fury of it after being mollified by whatever progressive sounding idpol they shit out. disgusting!

'I flirted with the idea that instead of being trans that I was just a cross-dresser (a quirk, I thought, that could be quietly folded into an otherwise average life) and that my dysphoria was sexual in nature, and sexual only. And if my feelings were only sexual, then, I wondered, perhaps I wasn’t actually trans.
I had read about a book called The Man Who Would Be Queen, by a Northwestern University professor who believed that transwomen who were attracted to women were really confused fetishists, they wanted to be women to satisfy an autogynephilia. And though I first read about this book in the context of its debunkment and disparagement, I thought about the electricity of slipping on those tights, zipping up those boots, and a stream of guilt followed. Maybe this professor was right, and maybe I was only a fetishist. Not trans, just a misguided boy.
About a year later, on the Internet, I come across a transwoman who added a unique message to the crowd refuting this professor. Oh, I wish I remember who this woman was, and I wish even more that I could do better than paraphrase her, but I remember her saying something like this: “Well, of course I feel sexy putting on women’s clothing and having a woman’s body. If you feel comfortable in your body for the first time, won’t that probably mean it’ll be the first time you feel comfortable, too, with delighting in your body as a sexual thing?”'
-Casey Plett, Consciousness
#this quote always moves me almost to tears when i remember it#i'm not a trans woman and i don't share the author's specific experiences with transition#but it really moves me that she frame transition as joyfully giving yourself permission to approach your body#not as something that has to be disciplined and deprived and made small in all these various ways#but as a means for experiencing pleasure and joy and delight and for insisting that our feelings and desires are worth#valuing and exploring and treasuring#i always used to think of prioritizing those things for myself as selfish and irresponsible#but who does it harm to want to experience pleasure in your own body?#it's such a beautifully simple and powerful switch to have flip in your head#and equally why are we forced to deny our own pleasure in transition and anything else related to our bodies in the name of moral rectitude#this is why i get so confused and pissed off when other trans people are fatphobic for example#like why are you so invested in politics of shame and disgust that never had any purpose other than#violently disciplining people as if they've violated moral codes by existing in a body#to say nothing of white people being racist in gay and trans communities#like again this system of violence is foundational to homophobia and transphobia#so why are you acting like it has nothing to do with you#even if you are unmoved by the urgency of other people's suffering which btw you should be moved by#what do you hope to gain by acting a collaborator and handmaiden to those systems#Casey Plett#she really is one of my favorite authors i wish more non-canadians read her#this quote is from a series of columns she did ont transition and every single one is a banger#i love when she talks about the people-pleasing elements of dysphoria and transition denial#she's so sharp about noting how many of us deny our own dysphoria on the grounds that others like and validate our bodies#that's how i always felt during my cis conventionally feminine era#it pleased other people so much and also that reception felt so hollow and joyless to me because i hated it#i get less of that positive feedback but that feels so unimportant next to the joy and pleasure i get to experience#said with the understanding that i'm very privileged in being able to prioritize those things without fear. but it was a switch flip#personal nonsense

Swifties are harassing Travis Kelce’s ex AGAIN.
Swifties have NEVER attacked the ex-girlfriend of one of Taylor’s current boyfriends like this before, but now, they look for ANY excuse to attack her. Can you guess why? 🙄
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this time it’s over a vague tweet about cheekbones, which she even said was not about what they think it’s about, but that didn’t stop the racist attacks of course.
They literally hang out in her Instagram comment sections and stalk her Twitter and tell her every day that taylor is SO MUCH BETTER than her and she’s just a “nappy headed gold digger.” They even pick apart her facial features. It’s so fucking disgusting, and they JUSTIFY their attacks on Kayla by claiming that she liked shady posts on Instagram about Taylor. And I don’t even think that’s true because 1) swifties have made fake edits of Joe before, and fake AI of his voice, it is literally so easy for them to make shit up and lie so why wouldn’t they do it with Kayla as well.
2) in order to see that Kayla nicole liked a post you would have to be following her, most swifties were completely unaware of her existence, so they would have had to be following kayla, and also stumble upon some anti taylor posts in order to see that Kayla liked it.
So yeah, swifties are horrible and racist as fuck, but don’t expect @taylorswift to do anything rabout this, because despite the fact that she once pledged to be “loudly and ferociously anti racist” she literally does not give a SHIT when her fans viciously attack women of colour on her behalf.

I’ve been skimming through fluff fics lately, and a fun little realization popped up in my mind. It’s not often people talk about the downs in a potential relationship with the twst boys. For the sake of a more realistic perspective, I’ve got to ask. Who do you think is most likely to unintentionally hurt Yuu and why? - 🦐
Hello my shrimpy friend! So nice to hear from you, hope you're doing well. Fan fic in general isn't very focused on portraying the negative parts of a relationship because it's a form of escapism. People don't necessarily want to picture themselves in a bad spot in a relationship if they already are in one in real life, yk?
That being said making mistakes is part of any relationship so I do have some thoughts! They/them used for Yuu as always, this is angst so proceed with care.
Tumblr media
Azul- he doesn't have the healthiest mental framework surrounding friendships, and you do need to be friends with your SO to have a solid relationship. An actual relationship with Yuu would probably have a bumpy start as you two try to feel out what the dynamic is actually supposed to be. Take it slow and everything will be fine, but there might be some hurt feelings along the way. And a lot of assumptions from other people about your relationship that don't help either of you.
LEONA- he's a rude ass bitch who doesn't have great manners I am so sorry to this man. To be fair though I think a lot of that rudeness would be something that would take place before the actual relationship, because I firmly believe if it's pointed out to Leona by his partner that he has communication issues he's more than willing to work on that with them. He would be a good boyfriend! It's just all the conversations up to the actual going out that's painful and might ruin what he wants before he actually gets it.
Riddle- so I don't think Riddle's treatment of Yuu is what might hurt them exactly, his issues as always have to do with his mother. He needs to figure out exactly how he wants to deal with his childhood trauma and his adult relationship with her, but that's going to take a lot of time and personal growth. Mrs. Rosehearts seems like the type to try and continue running her son's life after he graduates so I can't see her treating Riddle's partner well. Going no contact with an emotionally abusive parent is really hard for their children to do, Riddle needs love and support but the journey can be emotionally draining for the person giving that support.
Sebek- again with the family thing. His parents sound like wonderful people but his Grandfather seems to only like his grandchildren because they're half fae and still actively hates his son in law. I can't see him treating Yuu any better, which I could see being very draining since Sebek and his grandpa are very close. It could also be a chance for Baul to change a bit, which would be nice.
Cater and Idia- I'm making them share a spot because similarly to Leona I think the major hurts would be caused pre-relationship, but unlike him I don't see their communication issues as being something that would affect the relationship in the same way going forward. Cater has a lot of insecurities and can be a bit shallow, but he is a good friend so once he accepts Yuu as a safe space to speak openly and honestly I don't see them as having too many issues. Idia is also shown to be very open and honest with Ortho, his self hatred, temper, and inferiority/superiority complex just get in the way of him letting anyone else in.
In general, a lot of the twst guys have communication issues which is something people can work through, but would still cause some pain. Something to think about I suppose σ( ̄、 ̄=)

I find it odd and by odd I mean racist that ever since that stupid show cast the Dragon Twins as Black girls, there's been an uptick in Jace/Sara content/shipping.
Before the dumpster fire started, reasonable people agreed that Sara Snow was not real, but now you cannot go five minutes in Jace or Baela’s tag without seeing someone wish they'd include Sara Snow in the show.
They say it'll deepen Jace’s character and make him “interesting”, whatever that means. The problem with this assertion is that Jace is already plenty interesting, he led the war councils while his mother grieved, and he recruited the blacks' most important allies. Allies who remained steadfast even after his mother's and his own demise.
Furthermore, Jace has existing relationships in his life that the show could explore to delve into his connection with bastardy. Three of whom are canonically Black, by the way.
So, the question arises: what unique perspective or insight can Sara Snow provide to Jace's struggle with his bastard status that Nettles, Addam, and Alyn cannot?

ice cold takes i've seen in the last twenty-four hours:
"i don't value independent artists enough to pay for their work" is a flex, especially on this, the we-should-pay-artists website
pirating from independent content creators who have twice now left major corporations is the same as pirating from netflix and is basically direct action
leaving two major corporations means that they've sold out
wanting more creative control over their creative content so that they don't have to answer to advertisers or said major corporations means that they've sold out
doing anything i don't want them to do means that they've sold out
the fact that i was personally unaware of their patreon despite it being mentioned repeatedly in episodes of various shows means that everyone is unaware of it and this is a winning argument
this company should have fired at least a dozen people rather than inconvenience me, a viewer, because my ability to access their content for free is more important than a dozen people's livelihoods
these creatives should stop making the art that they're passionate about because i, personally, don't like it
there's nothing remotely weird about fixating on the two asian co-founders and insisting that they've somehow manipulated the white co-founder into this with their evil capitalism and there is nothing racially charged about it at all
this is the exact same moral weight as major corporations with numerous workers' rights violations
that i cannot or choose not to pay for something means that it's not worth the cost
that i cannot or choose not to pay for something that not only allows but encourages password sharing means that it's inherently immortal and greedy
any creatives' choice to put their work behind a paywall of any kind is inherently an attack on me and my own personal well-being

I’ve been a fan of Ryan and Shane since the unsolved days and followed them onto watcher, and found myself pleasantly surprised by Steven’s content as well. Never in my life have I seen a fandom turn so quickly against the creators it claimed to love, in such a vitriolic, hateful, racist fashion. As a poc myself, it made me queasy to see some tweets calling Steven and Ryan ‘rats’ while absolving Shane of any wrongdoing and blame in the same breath. Some of y’all are vile and, given the nasty outrage, you’d think watcher broke into your house, stole all your money and kidnapped your pet on the way out instead of, idk, overestimating themselves and making a stupid business move.

I hate self proclaimed “queer theorists” on this stupid fucking website because 90% of their posts are like “All lesbians are terfs because gender can change which makes sexuality obsolete so that means lesbians automatically hate trans ppl <3 What about gay men you ask? No, it’s different, don’t ask me to elaborate <3 Haha I love trans women so much *insert most insane transmisogynistic take three lines down* And this is all real and true because I am a boygirl fagdyke and I said it is !!!!! Btw if you argue or point out any flaws here it’s because you’re an awful evil gate keeping exclusionist >:( Peace and love go firebomb a Walmart” and then somehow the post has 563782922992737228 reblogs of ppl agreeing

This month is Black History Month so I want to give a shout-out to all the Black mspec lesbians! Queer history wouldn't be what it is without black people, and the whitewashing of queerness is so disgusting when black queer people have been a huge part of our community and led many of the fights for our rights! And it's even more unfortunate when your own community, the lesbian community, turns on you and uses the terms (nonman and nonwoman) that were used to degender you and other black people as a way to prove your identities are not "real" or "valid." Black bi lesbians, Black pan lesbians, Black poly lesbians, Black omni lesbians, Black abro lesbians, and all Black lunians, you're amazing. You matter so much to this community. We wouldn't be the same without you.

swifties harassing travis kelce’s ex kayla nicole, just another day on twitter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
no but genuinely, what is it about kayla nicole that has swifties so raged up and insecure?? is it because travis ACTUALLY LOOKED HAPPY when he was with her, as opposed to taylor, where he looks like he’s being held hostage half the time?

Not an attack or anything but. You seem to talk about Talia semi-fondly? Forgive me if I'm wrong.
I'm a little funny about people being nice about her. Afterall, she is a literal rapist. Canonically. In multiple iterations.
I'm not semi fond of Talia I adore her she's an amazing character and I refuse to let one bad racist writing choice, which the writer themselves states was a mistake and is actually no longer Canon, change my opinion of her - I've said before it's okay to not like Talia but don't base your opinion of her on one racist retcon which every other shitty dc writer chose to jump on instead of focusing on her long complex and interesting history
