I am never inclined to make fun of tumblr's cheesy attempts to make money and generally support them even if you consider them cringe. Websites need money to operate and tumblr needs to find a way to make money consistently or it will cease to exist. I do not want tumblr to cease to exist, and the most common alternative method of making money is to collect and sell all of our personal data, which I do not want either. Websites that can support themselves via people willing to spend $25 bucks to commit to a bit is a sign of a brighter and more sustainable version of the internet.

Cruz v. CA, 346 Phil. 872
ART. 221
FACTS: Lydia Umali was examined by Dr. Cruz who found a myoma [benign tumor] in her uterus, and scheduled her for a hysterectomy operation [removal of uterus] on 23 Mar 1991. On March 22, Rowena Umali accompanied her mother to the hospital and spent the night there, for the operation was to be conducted on the following day. Rowena noticed that the clinic was untidy, so she tried to persuade her mother not to proceed with the operation. On the day of the operation, Rowena asked Dr. Cruz if the operation could be postponed. Because of this, Dr. Cruz called Lydia in her office. Consequently, Lydia informed Rowena that the operation must go on as scheduled.
While Lydia’s relatives were waiting, Dr. Ercillo (anesthesiologist) told them to buy tagamet ampules, and Rowena’s sister went out to buy some. An hour later, Dr. Ercillo asked them to buy blood for Lydia, so they did. A few hours later, the operation was finished. However, Dr. Cruz asked again the family to buy additional blood, but there was no more type A blood available in the blood bank. A person arrived to donate blood which was later transfused to Lydia. Rowena noticed that her mother was gasping for breath–apparently, the oxygen supply had run out, so the family went out to buy oxygen. Later in the evening, she went into shock and her blood pressure dropped. She was then transferred to another hospital so she could be connected to a respirator and further examined. However, this transfer was without the consent of the relatives, who only found out about it when an ambulance came to take Lydia to the other hospital.
In the new hospital, she was re-operated upon by Dr. Cruz and Dr. Ercillo because blood was oozing out from her incision. They summoned Dr. Angeles, Ob-Gyne head of the new hospital, but when he arrived, Lydia was already in shock and possibly dead (BP: 0/0). Dr. Angeles told Drs. Cruz and Ercillo that there was nothing he could do. Lydia died while Dr. Cruz was closing her abdominal wall. Immediate cause of death is shock; disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) as antecedent cause.
Dr. Cruz and Dr. Ercillo were charged with reckless imprudence and negligence resulting in homicide of Lydia Umali. The Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) found Dr. Ercillo not guilty for insufficiency of evidence against her, but held Dr. Cruz responsible for Umali’s death. RTC and CA affirmed MTCC.
Manifestation of negligence:
1. untidiness of clinic
2. lack of provision of supplies
3. the fact that the transfer was needed meant that there was something wrong in the way Dr. Cruz conducted operation
4. no showing that pre-surgery procedure (clearance, blood typing/tests) was conducted
ISSUE: WON the circumstances are sufficient to sustain a judgment of conviction against Dr. Cruz for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
RULLING: NO. DR. CRUZ IS ACQUITTED, BUT SHE IS STILL CIVILLY LIABLE (50K civil liability; 100k moral damages, 50k exemplary damages).
Elements of reckless imprudence
1. Offender does / fails to do an act
2. Doing / failure to do act is voluntary
3. Without malice
4. Material damage results from reckless imprudence
5. There is inexcusable lack of precaution, taking into consideration offender’s employment, degree of intelligence, physical condition, other circumstances re: persons, time, place
Burden of establishing medical negligence on plaintiff. Plaintiff has the burden to establish this, and for a reasonable conclusion of negligence, there must be proof of breach of duty on the part of the surgeon, as well as a causal connection of such breach and the resulting death of patient. Negligence cannot create a right of action unless it is the proximate cause of the injury complained of (Chan Lugay v. St. Luke’s Hospital, Inc.). In this case, no cogent proof exists that the circumstances caused Lydia’s death, so the 4th element of reckless imprudence is missing.
The testimonies of the doctors presented by the prosecution establish hemorrhage / hemorrhagic shock as the cause of death, which may be caused by several different factors. Autopsy did not reveal any untied cut blood vessel, nor was there a tie of a cut blood vessel that became loose. The findings of the doctors do not preclude the probability that a clotting defect (DIC) caused the hemorrhage and consequently, Lydia’s death.
The Court has no recourse but to rely on the expert testimonies that substantiate Dr. Cruz’ allegation that the cause of Lydia’s death was DIC, which cannot be attributed to Dr. Cruz’ fault or negligence. This probability was unrebutted during trial.

MODERN! LEVI HEADCANONS #1 ★ masterlist.
whenever levi works at home he has to have the window open for fresh air
he sleeps with the curtains open like a maniac
he also hates it when somebody doesn’t shut the door behind them or they only shut it to, it genuinely fills him with so much rage-- either keep it open or close it completely!!!
he really likes mobile games and whenever he’s bored he’ll sit and play some
he cares about the little things in life and always does little things to convenience his friends or family (grabbing erwin a newspaper on the way back from his morning run, making sure the kettle is boiled for when hange gets out of bed at 11, buying the oat milk that mikasa likes for when she comes by on a weekend)
levi doesn’t understand the social awareness that it takes to send memes but he does find them funny when he’s sent one
he cooks wearing an apron
he loves when it’s just a little bit overcast outside
he is very very paranoid about his health and wellbeing and googles his symptoms and gets stressed when google tells him to fear for the worst
for some reason he genuinely likes the smell of hospitals and dentists, he likes that surgical and clean smell
he cuts his own hair and sometimes even offers to help cut mikasa’s when it gets long and she decides she wants it short again
he actually has a very good sense of humour but sometimes it goes over people’s heads
levi enjoys spending time with the more childish members of his surprisingly large friendship circle, such as connie or sasha
he thinks that sparkling water should not exist and looks down on anybody who likes it
he keeps a journal too that he likes to write inside when he is feeling stressed or run down
he gets way too hot when he sleeps and ends up sleeping with half of the covers on his legs and the other half on the floor
levi loves red wines and has a high tolerance for alcohol
he hates putting on the radio but if he does it’s probably on the classical station which he is forever teased about
when he cleans the house he hums to himself
he is the person who smiles off to the side as all of his friends are laughing and having fun
he is similarly camera shy to mikasa but he enjoys taking photographs of his friends
he thinks that snails are very cute
he is a very sentimental person
levi feels very empathetic towards the homeless and donates to charities and buys them warm drinks or blankets if he has the time on his way to work or something
you will never ever hear him admit it but when sasha and hange made him watch glee he actually thought it was entertaining
levi is also a very thoughtful and deeply caring person but he has a difficulty showing vulnerability through his emotions
he’s a very easy listener and listens to a lot
quite frequently he does shared sessions on spotify with his friends
he genuinely likes audio books and gets quite emotional when he reads
levi considers hange to be his best friend of all time and he would honestly be lost without them
isabel and farlan live so far away from him and he tries to facetime them as much as he can without getting upset that he can’t be near them
he always offers to babysit the younger siblings or relatives of his friends, and is surprisingly very good with children (falco and gabi LOVE spending time with levi)
he finds languages really interesting and has duolingo but he always forgets to do his daily 10 minutes
levi is the definition of a diehard friend who will without hesitation defend those he is close to unless they seriously wrong him
he cannot swim
he also hates the taste of tobacco
levi obsessively cleans his nails to the point where sometimes he makes them bleed from poking and prodding and pulling

It seems like many, perhaps most, people historically believed in some immanent apocalypse.
Many philosophies claim that the world is passing into a degenerate age of chaos (Ages of Man, Kali Yuga, life-cycle of civilisation), or divine conflict will shortly spill over & destroy the Earth (Ragnorok, Revelations, Zoroastrian Frashokereti), or that the natural forces sustaining us must be transient.
Yet few panic or do anything. What anyone does "do about it" is often symbolic & self-admittedly unlikely to do much.
Maybe humans evolved not to care, to avoid being manipulated?
Many cults make similar claims, and do uproot their lives around them. Even very rarely committing mass suicide or terror attacks etc on occasion. But cults exist that don't make such claims, so it may not be the mechanism they use to control, or at most a minor one. "This is about the fate of the whole world, nothing can be more important than that, so shut up" may work as as a thought terminating cliche, but it doesn't seem to work that strongly, and there are many at least equally effective ones.
Some large scale orgs do exist that seem to take their eschatology "seriously". The Aztecs committed atrocities trying to hold off apocalypse, ISIS trying to cause it. Arguably some Communist or even fascist groups count, depending on your definition of apocalypse.
But even then, one can argue their actions are not radically different from non-apocalypse-motivated ones - e.g. the Aztecs mass-executed less per capita than the UK did at times & some historians view them as more about displaying authority.
I'm thinking about this because of two secular eschatologies - climate apocalypse and the Singularity.
My view on climate change, which as far as I can tell is the scientific consensus, is that it is real and bad but by no means apocalyptic. We're talking incremental increases in storms, droughts, floods etc, all of which are terrible, but none of which remotely threaten human civilisation. E.g. according to the first Google result, the sea is set to rise by 1 decimeter by 2100 in a "high emissions scenario", not to rise by tens or hundreds of meters and consume all coastal nations as I was taught as a child. Some more drastic projections suggest that the sea might rise by as much as two or three meters in the worst case scenario.
It really creeps me out when I hear people who confess to believe that human civilisation, the human species, or even all life on Earth is most likely going to be destroyed soon by climate change. The most recent example, which prompted this post, was the Call of Cthulhu podcast I was listening to casually suggesting that it might be a good idea to summon an Elder God of ice and snow to combat climate change as the "lesser existential risk", perhaps by sacrificing "climate skeptics" to it. It's incredibly jarring for me to realise that the guys I've been listening to casually chatting about RPGs think they live in a world that will shortly be ended by the greed of it's rulers. But this idea is everywhere. Discussions of existential risks from e.g. pandemics inevitably attract people arguing that the real existential risk is climate change. A major anti-global-warming protest movement, Extinction Rebellion, is literally named after the idea that they're fighting against their own extinction. Viral Tumblr posts talk about how the fear of knowing that the world is probably going to be destroyed soon by climate change and fascism is crippling their mental health, and they have no idea how to deal with it because it's all so real.
But it's not. It's not real.
Well, I can't claim that political science is accurate enough for me to definitively say that fascism isn't going to take over, but I can say that climate science is fairly accurate and it predicts that the world is definitely not about to end in fire or in flood.
(There are valid arguments that climate change or other environmental issues might precipitate wars, which could turn apocalyptic due to nuclear weapons; or that we might potentially encounter a black swan event due to our poor understanding of the ecosystem and climate-feedback systems. But these are very different, as they're self-admittedly "just" small risks to the world.)
And I get the impression that a lot of people with more realistic views about climate change deliberately pander to this, deliberately encouraging people to believe that they're going to die because it puts them on the "right side of the issue". The MCU's Loki, for instance, recently casually brought up a "climate apocalypse" in 2050, which many viewers took as meaning the world ending. Technically, the show uses a broad definition of "apocalypse" - Pompeii is given as another example - and it kind of seems like maybe all they meant was natural disasters encouraged by climate change, totally defensible. But I still felt kinda mad about it, that they're deliberately pandering to an idea which they hopefully know is false and which is causing incredible anxiety in people. I remember when Greta Thurnberg was a big deal, I read through her speeches to Extinction Rebellion, and if you parsed them closely it seemed like she actually did have a somewhat realistic understanding of what climate change is. But she would never come out and say it, it was all vague implications of doom, which she was happily giving to a rally called "Extinction Rebellion" filled with speakers who were explicitly stating, not just coyly implying, that this was a fight for humanity's survival against all the great powers of the world.
But maybe there's nothing wrong with that. I despise lying, but as I've been rambling about, this is a very common lie that most people somehow seem unaffected by. Maybe the viral tumblr posts are wrong about the source of their anxiety; maybe it's internal/neurochemical and they world just have picked some other topic to project their anxieties on if this particular apocalypse wasn't available. Maybe this isn't a particularly harmful lie, and it's hypocritical of me to be shocked by those who believe it.
Incidentally, I believe the world is probably going to end within the next fifty years.
Intellectually, I find the arguments that superhuman AI will destroy the world pretty undeniable. Sure, forecasting the path of future technology is inherently unreliable. But the existence of human brains, some of which are quite smart, proves pretty conclusively it's possible to get lumps of matter to think - and human brains are designed to run on the tiny amounts of energy they can get by scavenging plants and the occasional scraps of meat in the wilderness as fuel, with chemical signals that propagate at around the speed of sound (much slower than electronic ones), with only the data they can get from input devices they carry around with them, and which break down irrevocably after a few decades. And while we cannot necessarily extrapolate from the history of progress in both computer hardware and AI, that progress is incredibly impressive, and there's no particular reason to believe it will fortuitously stop right before we manufacture enough rope to hang ourselves.
Right now, at time of writing, we have neural nets that can write basic code, appear to scale linearly in effectiveness with the available hardware with no signs that we're reaching their limit, and have not yet been applied at the current limits of available hardware let alone what will be available in a few years. They absorb information like a sponge at a vastly superhuman speed and scale, allowing them to be trained in days or hours rather than the years or decades humans require. They are already human-level or massively superhuman at many tasks, and are capable of many things I would have confidently told you a few years ago were probably impossible without human-level intelligence, like the crazy shit AI dungeon is capable of. People are actively working on scaling them up so that they can work on and improve the sort of code they are made from. And we have no ability to tell what they're thinking or control them without a ton of trial and error.
If you follow this blog, you're probably familiar with all the above arguments for why we're probably very close to getting clobbered by superhuman AI, and many more, as well as all the standard counter-arguments and the counter-arguments to those counter arguments.
(Note: I do take some comfort in God, but even if my faith were so rock solid that I would cheerfully bet the world on it - which it's not - there's no real reason why our purpose in God's plan couldn't be to destroy ourselves or be destroyed as an object lesson to some other, more important civilization. There's ample precedent.)
Here's the thing: I'm not doing anything about it, unless you count occasionally, casually talking about it with people online. I'm not even donating to help any of the terrifyingly-few people who are trying to do something about it. Part of why I'm not contributing is, frankly, I don't have a clue what to do, nor do I have much confidence in any of the stuff people are currently doing (although I bloody well hope some of it works.)
And yet I don't actually feel that scared.
I feel more of a visceral chill reading about the nuclear close calls that almost destroyed the world in the recent past than thinking about the stuff that has a serious chance of doing so in a few decades. I'm a neurotic mess, and yet what is objectively the most terrifying thing on my radar does not actually seem to contribute to my neurosis.

Orb/Reanimation
Another part of Doorways!  Link to series here.
.
.
.
“What’s his name again?” asked Danny, picking at the hem of his shirt.  Today had been… stressful, for a number of reasons.  Partially the long drive and the disastrous breakfast stop, but also the fact that they were driving to meet a guy who was possibly:
a)       Vlad Masters version 2.
b)      A horrible hole in reality that would try to kill him.
c)       Possessed, like the Keens.
d)      Using ghost stuff without knowing it was ghost stuff.
e)      Messing around with ghost stuff while knowing it was ghost stuff, but without any of the skill to keep it from messing him up in turn.
f)        Crazy in some wonderful, unforeseen way.
Or, finally,
g)       Mom and Dad’s one and only normal friend.
Danny really wasn’t holding for the last one, if he was being honest.  After all, unlike Marianne, this guy had been part of the Paranormal Research Club.
Okay, maybe there were other, positive, options.  It was completely possible for someone to be weird or crazy and not be evil or even particularly threatening.  Most ghosts were like that, in fact.
Still.
“Frank Stone,” said Dad, cheerfully.
“If he turns out to be a Dr. Frankenstein type, I quit,” groaned Jazz.  “Just so you know.”
“You won’t quit,” said Danny, with complete confidence.
“He is a doctor,” said Mom.  “He was studying biology when we met him, for his undergraduate degree.”
“I quit; I’m telling you.”
“If you were really quitting,” reasoned Danny, “you’d just open the door and jump out.”  He was pleased that Jazz was taking her turn as the resident overdramatic teenager.  She carried that burden only rarely, but it did seem like long trips in the GAV really brought it out.
Maybe they made her remember the whole Youngblood thing.  Who knew? Not Danny.
“I’m not going to jump out of a moving vehicle. That’s more of a ‘you’ thing.”
“I can’t really dispute that,” said Danny, remembering all the times he had, in fact, jumped out of a moving vehicle. “In my defense, I can fly.”
“Why you can fly completely negates that as a defense.”
Danny held up a finger.  “Okay, so, first off, reality is not a moving vehicle.”
“Anything can be a moving vehicle, depending on your reference frame.”
“I agree on the moving part, but I dispute the vehicle part.  Vehicle comes from the Latin vehiculum, which is ‘a means of conveyance.’ Reality is not a means of conveyance. Ergo, it cannot be a vehicle.”
“Not so fast, brother dear.  Words change meaning over time.”
“Yeah, but that’s still what vehicle means,” said Danny.  “Unless you’re doing the medicine definition, anyway.  I think.”
“Reality is a metaphorical vehicle.”
“Well, if it’s metaphorical, it doesn’t matter whether or not it’s moving.  Does it?”
“I’m… not sure.”
“I think this is the place!” exclaimed Dad, pulling into a parking lot.  “Golding City University Medical Research Lab.”
“He doesn’t live here,” said Danny, slowly, “does he?”  They weren’t ambushing this guy at work, were they?  Even if he did turn out to be just as bad as all of Mom and Dad’s other friends, that was kind of mean.
(Except, the Keens had been acceptable, once they were no longer possessed, and even the ghost possessing them hadn’t been too terrible.)
“He’s in the building behind the lab,” said Mom. “They let the teachers live on-campus, here.  He’s expecting us, anyway.”
Right.  Because they had called ahead, giving warning to their potential enemy.  Curse you, common courtesy and sundry social conventions.
Jazz was glaring at the small name sign on the building, which was just barely visible through the rain.  “Golding City University,” she said, eyes narrowed.
“Uh, is something wrong?”
“Frankenstein,” she said.
“Um,” said Danny.  He looked more closely at the name.  “Golding City.  Ingolstadt.” Oh, no.  Now he was glaring at the name, too.  Because Jazz was right, and it would be his luck.  Their parents’ luck.  Whatever.
“Do you feel anything?” asked Dad.
“No,” said Danny.
“Well,” said Mom.  “We’ll have to run a bit, try to stay out of the rain.  It’s too bad there isn’t a closer parking lot…”
“I could also just make us all intangible,” said Danny.
“What?”
“I could make us all intangible.  I do it all the time to miss the rain when no one is looking too closely.”
“Huh,” said Mom.
“It isn’t as if my powers disappear when I’m not fighting ghosts,” said Danny.  “I get to use them for other things.”
“I know, I know, it just seems… petty.”
“Petty is one of the best words to describe ghosts with,” said Danny.
.
Frank Stone did not look like a Frankenstein. Not the monster, and not the ‘doctor.’
(Because Victor Frankenstein had not, in fact, become a doctor, had he?)
He was actually pretty average looking.  The same age as Mom and Dad, of course. Brown hair.  Glasses.  Skinny, but not that skinny.  Could Dr. Stone rob a grave?  Probably. But carrying the loot away without some mechanical advantage was probably out.  Unless it was old loot.  Dried out. Maybe just bones.
Corpses were heavy.
(No, Danny was not going to elaborate.)
Dr. Stone appeared to be somewhat confused about why Danny and Jazz were there.  Evidently, Mom and Dad had managed to give the man the impression that they wanted to fund his research with the fortune they had inherited from Vlad.
Which, incidentally, had been inherited by Danny, who couldn’t really do much with it until he was twenty-five.  Not that he was particularly keen on funding… Whatever it was that Dr. Stone was researching.
Maybe that would be different if he could tell what Dr. Stone was talking about.  Danny wasn’t stupid, far from it, and had a good background in any number of esoteric subjects, but, well.  It was hard to rival an adult lifetime of learning and research.  Especially when he didn’t have any context.
Mom and Dad’s briefing on Dr. Stone had generally focused on what he had been interested in as a member of the Paranormal Research Club, not his true field of study.
“Oh,” said Mom, suddenly, “this is about your organ transplant project, isn’t it?  You really need to provide more context.  When you just jump right in like that, even we’ll get lost!”
Okay.  Danny felt better.
“Well, yes,” said Dr. Stone.  “I have been working on this off and on since college, you know how it is.  I know you kept up with that portal business!”  He flashed a nervous smile and set his coffee mug down on his coffee table.  It made a soft chinking sound against the glass.  “But the university gave me a grant, Vladco’s been donating some supplies—From their chemical division, mostly—and I’ve been having a lot of success!  I can’t wait to show you.  We’ve actually got a few specimens in near-stasis right now, all from mice.  We’re going to be implanting one tomorrow.  See how it functions.”
“Have you implanted any before?” asked Mom, leaning forward.
“A few, but, well.  I can’t say they were resounding successes.  The most recent subject only lasted a few days… Although, that is better than the first! We’ve been adjusting some of our ratios.”
“Say, Frank,” said Dad.  “What chemicals are you using for this, anyway?  I know you’re using them in conjunction with low temperatures, but keeping crystals from forming in the flesh—”
“Yes, yes, that’s always been the problem with cryogenics,” agreed Dr. Stone.  Then they dove back into jargon and technical language.
Danny glanced sideways at Jazz, uneasy.  Chemicals.  From Vladco. Yeah.  Not suspicious at all.
He leaned over.  “Ten dollars says that he’s using ectoplasm to reanimate dead bodies.”
“I’m not taking that bet.  Do you feel anything weird from him?”  Jazz whispered back.
“Weird, yes, but…”  Danny bit his lip.  “I’m not sensing any… doors.  Or ghosts.”
“Okay,” said Jazz.  “So, when we do find his mad science lab full of dead body parts, what do we do?”
“Well…  Nothing? As long as they’re legal dead body parts, I guess.  You know, from organ donors, or people who donated their bodies to science.  I mean…”  He shrugged.  “You’ve read Frankenstein, too.  And met Ellie.”
“Hm.  True,” said Jazz.  “I have to check my biases.  I’m still quitting, though.  As soon as we find his Frankenstein stuff.  Just so you know.”
“No, you aren’t.”
Jazz just sighed.
.
Danny walks silently through the halls of the research facility.  True, Dr. Stone was planning on giving his family a tour of his workspace first thing tomorrow and had implied that other researchers would be doing the same, but Danny believed in being prepared.
Well.  Sometimes. He was allowed to be inconsistent and contradictory.  Like any teen, he was still learning how to exist.
Maybe he should stop comparing himself to ‘any teen,’ though.  It was beginning to feel dishonest, even in his own head.  Even though, technically, it was true.
Anyway.
This place was kind of creepy.  At least, he presumed a normal person would find it creepy. Too bad he didn’t know any normal people.  Sam would think it was cool.  Tucker would be freaking out because it was a medical research lab.  Ancients, Danny was as bad as his parents.
It did have a number of features that one would typically only find on the set of a horror movie, however, so he felt fairly confident in his assessment of its creepiness.  Also, he had encountered at least five different crimes against nature and sanity (it took one to know one), and he hadn’t even gotten to Dr. Stone’s lab yet.
He was impressed.  He hadn’t expected such a high concentration outside of Amity Park or Vlad’s hideouts.
At the thought of Vlad, Danny drooped. Yeah.  He still wasn’t over the stupid fruitloop.  Still hated the fact that he had died.
Back to the crimes against nature.  Ectoplasm was definitely a component, if a small one. Hard to get things to glow that precise, reality bending shade of green otherwise.  Also, well.  Danny can sense ectoplasm.
And…  Now he was in a room of jars full of diluted ectoplasm and… He sniffed. Formaldehyde?  He frowned and decided the number, size, and arrangement of jars was suspicious.  He walked around the table.  Yep. That was in the outline of a human body. Yep.
Honestly, this wasn’t any more alarming than the living mice impaled with various glowing needles, or the disturbingly brown heart beating in a fish tank a few rooms back.  It was, also, significantly less alarming than the prosthetic face (mainly because, dang, that thing looked realistic), the (fresh) skeleton someone had been injecting ectoplasm into (yikes), and the weird flesh… blob… thing that someone had just left out in their workspace.
Still.  This was another point for the ‘someone is building a Frankenstein’s monster in this building’ theory, and Danny had kind of been hoping that he was wrong.
He walked out of the room, on alert for random murderous corpse monsters (or sad corpse monsters that needed a shoulder to cry on, a restraining order against their creators, and a loving home).  Or mad scientists.  Because, at this point, he was fairly certain that everyone who worked here was crazy, and not necessarily in the fun way Mom and Dad were.
He was glad they had decided to sleep in the GAV and ignore Dr. Stone’s invitation to stay in his apartment.
Dr. Stone’s office was just next door.  His lab, just beyond that.  Danny approached cautiously, his ghost half on high alert, and his deeper self stirring uneasily.
He laid a hand flat against the door, and that stirring became wakefulness.
Crimes against nature.  Hubris.  Pride.
Superbia.  It had to be.
A hole.  A wound.
Well.  This was fast.  Even with the Keens’ list of Paranormal Research Club members they had encountered while possessed, Danny hadn’t expected to find another thing like Gula so quickly.
He hadn’t wanted to.  Despite his outward pessimism, he had hoped that there weren’t any more.
After several frozen moments where Danny braced himself for an attack, he realized one wasn’t forthcoming.  The tear beyond the door had not noticed him, was not trying to consume him.
So, he had a choice.  He could either try to deal with this alone, right now, or he could sneak away and tell his family what he had found.  Both choices had pros and cons.
Before even a second had passed, Danny was easing away from the door.  He hadn’t quite promised to share if he felt anything strange, if he had detected anything bad, but…  It was a near thing, and he didn’t want to be dishonest with his family after they had been so accepting of all his… Stuff.
Yeah.  Call it stuff.  Nice and generic.  Covers everything.
Plus, his encounter with Gula had confirmed that he needed backup.
He refrained from calling on his powers on the way out.  He didn’t want to draw attention.  The limits of the doors to the place which should not be mentioned were largely unknown to him.
Luckily, the doors weren’t alarmed, and he got back to the GAV without a problem.  He poked Jazz awake first.
“Hey,” he said, “we’ve got a problem.”
.
“This portal is just… Sitting there,” said Mom.
“Yep.”
“In Frank’s office.”
“Well, I think it might actually be in the lab, but yes.  It’s kind of freaking me out.”
“Is Frank sleeping in his lab?” asked Dad, stroking the stubble on his chin.
“No, I checked that before I went in,” said Danny. “He’s in his apartment.”
“You just… broke into his apartment?” asked Mom.
Danny shrugged.  “I didn’t break anything,” he said.  “But, I mean, what else was I supposed to do?”
For a moment, it looked like Mom was about to argue or scold him, but she shook her head.  “Alright, then someone else is in his office.”
“Maybe.  I’m not sure if these portals need a person attached or not.  Using person in the very loosest of senses, because…”  He made a gesture he hoped would be interpreted as a soul being forcibly removed from a body without killing the body.
“You don’t think it’s in the, um,” Jazz also made a vague gesture.
“You mean the hypothetical Frankenstein’s monster he’s made?  Yeah. I think that’s likely.  Also, judging from the sheer amount of, um, weird stuff in the other labs, I’d say it’s influencing everyone and everything around it, too.”
“Is that a thing it can do?” asked Mom.
“I mean, I can do that,” said Danny.  He paused.  “’I’ in this case being the portal.  Yeah.  That’s why Amity Park is so…  Amity Park.”
Mom breathed out, slowly.  “Sweetie, trust me on this, Amity Park was strange long before we made the portal.
“Well, yes?” said Danny, not seeing what that had to do with it.  “So?”
“So, that strangeness couldn’t be caused by the portal.”
“Mom.  I’m—It’s a hole in reality.  Do you think it’s going to obey the laws of cause and effect?  You went to Amity Park because it was already a ‘thin spot,’ right?  I was already there.”
Mom looked vaguely ill.
“Okay,” said Jazz.  “Let’s table that discussion for right now.  What are we going to do about this?  Break in?  Wait for our ‘tour’ tomorrow?”
“I don’t like the idea of waiting for Dr. Stone to give us a tour,” said Danny.  “I don’t want to give them time to prepare for us.”
“He doesn’t know what we’re here for, though,” said Dad.  “Does he?”
“I don’t know,” said Danny.  “I can’t read minds.”
“Yet,” added Jazz.
“Do you think he even knows about the…”  It was Mom’s turn to enter the gesturing game.
“Let’s just call it a hell portal for the sake of communication,” said Danny, despite the fact that the term did not do the actuality justice.  “Or Superbia for this particular one.  I think this must be Superbia, anyway.”  He didn’t want to imagine the possibility of even more of these things out there.
“I’m not sure how he couldn’t notice that something strange was going on,” said Dad.  “Even if he was using ectoplasm and other supernatural elements in his research, we gave him a good grounding in what to expect from ectoplasm in college.”
“Yeah,” said Jazz.  “But not everyone is like you and Mom.  Your college days were over two decades ago.”
Something moving in the dark and rain beyond the GAV windows, catching Danny’s eye.  He pushed past his family to get a better look, blinking to adjust his eyes.
“Heck,” he said.  “We have a mob.”
“What?” exclaimed Dad, rushing to the console to turn on the GAV’s exterior floodlights.
They illuminated Dr. Stone and a crowd of college and graduate students quite nicely.  Their eyes reflected a dim red.  The GAV was, as far as Danny could see, surrounded.
Very briefly, the thought of gunning the GAV and crashing through the crowd crossed his mind.  It was just as quickly dismissed.
He didn’t know what the line between influenced and mind controlled was, or how easily Superbia could cross it.  It was even possible that the ‘hell portal’ could vault over both of those and land directly in possession.
“Ghost shield?” suggested Danny.
“Will it do anything?” asked Mom.
“Won’t hurt,” said Danny with a shrug.
Mom flipped the switch.
“What are we going to do?” asked Jazz, softly. “Wait them out?”
“Realistically,” said Danny, “we don’t have enough food and water to do that.  With this many people, they could take turns watching us.”
“Call the police?” suggested Maddie.  The other three turned to look at her.  “They are still human, aren’t they?”
“Yeah,” said Danny, frowning.  “But I don’t know how much, um, agency they have right now.  If we were in Amity, I’d say sure, our police understand, mostly, but…  Also, bringing extra hostages into this might not be a good idea.”
“If it’s the campus police that would get called, they might be affected, too,” said Jazz.
“They have campus police?  How do you know?”
“This college sent me a brochure once.”
“Right.  Um.  I could always just fly us out of here,” said Danny.
“Assuming they don’t have ranged attacks,” said Mom, dubiously.
“Hm.  Yeah.  I think I could lift the GAV, and then we could just leave the shield on.”
“Assuming the shield does anything.”
Danny shrugged.  “I can always just try to fight them outright.  I’d prefer not to do that, though.”
Mom inhaled as if she were about to say something but was cut off by a loud noise from outside.
“Jack~  Maddie~ I know you’re in there.”  That was Dr. Stone’s voice, warped by a megaphone speaker.  “Why don’t you come out and see what I’ve done?  I dare say I’ve exceeded even our wildest dreams from college.”  A long pause.  “I even made a portal…  Weren’t you trying to get one of those?  Isn’t that what got good old Vlad hospitalized?”  There was laughter.  Too much laughter.
The mob was laughing, too.
Superbia.  Pride.
Danny knew what he wanted to do.  He wanted to walk out and deal with the threat that was grating on his every sense.  But…  He knew that prideful actions were contraindicated under the present circumstances.
Influence.  Right. How much could Danny be influenced?
How much could his family be influenced?
He looked up at his parents, seeking guidance. They seemed uncertain, too.
“I didn’t destroy any lives- I made new life. New life!  Powered by an interdimensional portal, oh, yes…  Can you imagine the application?  Can you imagine a new world?”
“Okay, he didn’t seem like this in the apartment,” muttered Jazz.  “We have human nonlethal weapons, right?”
“Still have to worry about running people over,” said Danny.  He looked back at the lab building.  “We could try to cut this off at the source.  They aren’t protecting the building.  They’re using it as part of their perimeter.”
Eyes turned to the dimly lit building.
“We can cover you,” offered Dad.
“I don’t like this any better than you flying off with us,” said Mom.  “But…  It offers a more permanent solution.”
Danny should have gone after it when he was in the building the first time.  Well.  Time only rewound for one ghost, and that ghost wasn’t him.
Unless he counted…  Never mind.  The point was, despite all his other wonderful and troubling features, Danny couldn’t go back and change a decision he’d already made.  Agonizing over it was a waste of time and brain power.
Dad got behind the wheel.  Jazz crawled up into the well-disguised turret.  Maddie manned the other weapons.
Danny stood at the door, ready to run, ready to transform as soon as he was through the shield.
Family bonding activities.  So much fun.
.
The mob attacked before he got the door open. He still made it to the building.
.
Danny didn’t bother with doors or windows or halls. He remembered what floor Dr. Stone’s office was on, and, now that he was sensitized to it, he could feel Superbia. He went through the walls, straight as an arrow.
(He wondered, briefly, if he was being as bigoted as he’d often felt his parents to be.  If he was ascribing more evil to the portals to the Red Country than was warranted. If he was simply holding up a dark mirror and seeing what he feared from himself.)
(But no.  He did not command like that.  He did not force his people to assemble armies in the night or attack people.  He kept them safe.  He had rules.)
The lab was awash in sick red not-light that burned in Danny’s mind.  It was barely physically perceptible, more present in senses that couldn’t translate to human terms than anything to do with Danny’s eyes, ghostly or not.
In the center of the lab, on an operation table, was a stitched-together corpse.  Perhaps, under other circumstances, it would have been a very pretty corpse.  A young woman with long dark hair and broad shoulders.
Its chest had been torn open.  Half-in half-out of the cavity was a red orb, the source of the not-light, like some sick imitation of a ghost core.
(It reminded Danny of Freakshow’s staff, and he realized that he never did find out where that horrid thing had come from.)
They had been trying to make something like Danny.
He felt like he had eaten those blood blossom pancakes.
Danny gritted his teeth and let his light, white-green and clear, fill his hands.  Ectoplasm fought against the miasma in the air, an oddly purifying presence. It wasn’t enough to chase away the wrongness.  This wasn’t his space.
The fight against Gula was different.  Both he and it had been within nominally living bodies.  They had been next to the heart of Danny’s territory, his home ground.  Danny had been tricked and trapped, taken off guard, unable to use the tricks he had grown used to while fighting ghosts and Vlad.
(He could feel Superbia in his mind, pride urging him forward towards error.  Pride in his abilities, in his mind, in his family.)
Danny drifted sideways, watching.  Listening.  Other things in the building were stirring.  Sparks of wrongness growing and twisting, warping into fountains and springs.  This whole building was full of it.  Rotten to the bones.  It pressed against his teeth.
Careful.
He had to be careful.
The orb shone.
(Too much like Freakshow’s staff.)
(Influence, Danny remembered.  Just how close was it to mind control?)
Doing this as a human was impossible.  Trying to fight that as a ghost was unwise.
The always-open always-closed door that both contained and laid within Danny’s soul shifted.  So did the corpse on the table, its constituent parts sliding over each other gruesomely.  Death had lost its hold, lost its meaning.  The ghost that was Danny twisted, and he was too human, too alive.
Special little thing.  You think you can defeat us.
He could.  He could open himself and wash all this away in an instant.  He could burn with electric fire and the cold of deep space.  He could reach out.  The orb would be as dust under his hand.
He didn’t move.
In thinking you become…
Un-light burned up from the grooves in the tile floor. It didn’t reach the soles of his boots, didn’t reach his soul.  He gritted his teeth.
US.
YOUR VICTORY IS OURS.
“Wow, you picked the wrong person to use that strategy on,” said Danny, out loud.  Internally, he pulled on the delicate and frayed strands of reality that persisted even here. “I have so much imposter syndrome and anxiety that it isn’t even funny.  I know I can’t beat you.  Not here.”
But then, he didn’t have to.
He found the right string and pulled.  He found the key and opened the door.  Death was in the room again.  Danny could move again.  Not so much the pile of flesh in front of him.  It was hard, it hurt, to keep hold of something like this, but half of Danny was this, was dead, even if he had far too many halves to ever be whole.
Ice coated the floor, the tiles cracking under the sudden temperature change.  He dropped to the floor and was human.
An impossible thing.
And behind the human—
Well.  Danny didn’t have to defeat Superbia.  It wasn’t like Gula, didn’t have that strength, that experience.  He just had to make it so the things that would, could.
(Danny had rules.  Some of them were to protect himself.)
He walked over to the orb.  Ultimately, it was just a representation, not Superbia itself. Still.  He put his foot down on it and slowly transferred his weight to it until it cracked.  Until it splintered.  Until it shattered.  Until he ground its dust under his heel.
Then, the building collapsed.  Danny didn’t move, didn’t have to move.  He was a ghost again, floating in the air, exactly where he had been, all the floors having passed harmlessly through him.
Outside, the faculty and student body of the college were sprawled in piles on the ground.  The GAV was, somehow, halfway up a tree.  A shockingly sturdy tree.  Several statues were in pieces.
The sun was coming up.
Danny put a hand to his chest and assessed himself. Yes.  Still here.  Still himself.  The Ghost Zone still sang in his bones, in his core.  He was still anchored in Amity Park.  Everything in order.
This place, though… This place would be tainted for years, a thin spot forever.  He could feel it, now.  Why couldn’t he feel it before, when they drove in?
He shuddered.  Then he flew down to the GAV and knocked on the window.  Mom rolled it down.
“Want me to fly us away to somewhere secluded before the cops get called and we get asked a bunch of awkward questions?” he asked.
Mom closed her eyes.  “Please do,” she said.

Anon asks: SCK Fragman 38 speculation
(Asks under the cut)
Anonymous said: Do you think they're getting married this next episode? idk if the tattoos were confirmation
I think it’s possible? But I also think it’s entirely possible that they get the tattoos as a symbol of their love and a promise of sorts that they are through messing around, but they’re not actually married yet.  Frankly, they already gave us all the wedding hoopla with these two, I’m absolutely fine with an elopement or quick courthouse style wedding, or just a couple of witnesses in a garden. Whatever they want! Let’s just get her done.
Also... I know I said it before, but I’m just in love with the idea of these tattoos. Such a great solution to their ring issue.
Anonymous said: Thoughts on all these twitter theories from the “sick” line in the fragman?
- it’s about piril and engins kid bc basak and anil filmed in the hospital, and piril was hit by a car in 36 and in 37 she had that moment where she clutched her abdomen and had to sit down
- it’s a flashback serkan has to when his brother alp was sick
- serkan is sick and it’s a way to reveal Kemal as his bio dad (blood or organ donation)
- serkan is sick and it’s a way to reveal eda is pregnant when they draw blood from her to donate
That fragman could be hinting at so many things, and it very well could have been misleading. So lets take each theory in turn.
“it’s about piril and engins kid bc basak and anil filmed in the hospital, and piril was hit by a car in 36 and in 37 she had that moment where she clutched her abdomen and had to sit down”
Very possible. Engin thinking something had happened to Piril two eps ago did feel like foreshadowing, almost preparing the audience for something. It would be so heartbreaking if she loses the baby, and seems too dark for this show, but it is something that happens to millions of women, so we’ll see.
Also can you imagine after the way Piril stuck by Selin, if Piril lost her baby, and she then witnesses Selin using her baby as a pawn to get revenge on Serkan and Eda?  I’d like to see Piril and Engin’s reaction to that. Though again I think that’s pretty dark, especially for the side couple.
- it’s a flashback serkan has to when his brother alp was sick
I think this is a very good guess. Serkan probably will see a doctor after he passed out, and if it is another panic attack brought on by the stress of losing Eda, I could see a doctor telling him if he wants to move past the panic attacks, he needs to get at the root of his abandonment issues, which all lead back to his brother’s death. That could be why he’s getting out a box of his things and reading that letter.  So I could very well see a flashback happening to Alp’s diagnosis.
- serkan is sick and it’s a way to reveal Kemal as his bio dad (blood or organ donation)
I’m honestly fully onboard with Kemal as Serkan’s bio dad.  I hear a lot of people poopooing the idea because of opportunity, but I think they told us when it could have happened. In their first meeting, (unless my subs were bad) Aydan mentioned that Kemal had returned once to apologize for standing her up when they were young and going to run away together. I assume that was the window. Kemal showed up years later (after Alp was born) to apologize.. they had a fling and there’s the opportunity for Serkan to be his son.
Though, to me, if they’re doing something with Serkan’s health it’s got to be related to the plane crash. The chest clutching since he’s been back is concerning, plus wasn’t his hand shaking at one point? So I don’t see him having some serious underlying issue that’s unrelated. This guy does not shy away from going to the doctor and was just in the hospital for probably over a month recovering, so you’d think if there was anything wrong before, we’d know it.  Unless the plane crash acerbated something that’s genetic? And/or requires a match like bone marrow or kidney. I suppose they could give Serkan some rare blood type and that would be something applicable to most any ailment. We shall see.
- serkan is sick and it’s a way to reveal eda is pregnant when they draw blood from her to donate
This one I think is the least likely. It’s been very fuzzy how much time has passed, but at the minimum 3 months since they were supposed to get married and were having sex, so if Eda were pregnant I think she would have noticed the signs by now.
Anonymous said: Liza, I know they won’t kill Serkan, but could you reassure me that they won’t? I’ve followed you since Once and you were always good at reassuring.
Ha! I remember making lists of all the reasons they would never kill Hook.
THEY WON’T KILL SERKAN.
And I’m even more certain of this than I ever was of them not killing Hook, and I was damn certain then.
There is literally not ONE reason for this show to exist without Eda and Serkan. Not one. This is their love story, and really, storyline wise, the show should have ended awhile ago, and the only reason they keep it going is to keep Hande and Kerem on screen together, making their magic. Seriously, that’s the only reason.
You see how Serkan dying would be counter to that, right?  And if the show were about to end, trust me, there is nothing in it for anyone to have a tragic ending. This started as a romantic comedy, and will end as one, with a happily ever after. And if you’re still nervous, trust this, the production company is still hopeful to sell it into even more foreign markets, especially English language ones, a surprise tragic, twist ending that gets vilified on social media (and trust me this fandom is huge, vocal and capable) would really hurt those chances.
So even if we’re headed into a bad diagnosis for Serkan, he will be fine in the end, it will just be something for him and Eda to fight through. I promise.
Anonymous said: thoughts on that wonderfully beautiful fragman? i was watching with hearts in my eyes and then read the translations.. poor serkan!! if it really isn't misleading i definitely think it's some consequence of the plane crash. but, we are secure in what kind of show this is and the full knowledge that it's not a drama and no one is gonna actually die, i'm excited for the potential this storyline is gonna give us!! (esp with the return of the old writers)
I can’t wait to see that rain scene, and the after-the-rain scene and their motorcycle ride. The fragman was very beautiful, but it also felt very poignant and a little melancholy.
It’s interesting with the announcement that the second writing team was back, there were tidbits from several legit entertainment-type reporters yesterday that the show was going back to it’s roots being funny and entertaining.  So a terrible diagnosis for one of the current characters, especially the romantic leading man, doesn’t really fit with that.
It the writers hadn’t changed I’d be more concerned, not about a character dying, just about the show leaning into some big sort of health-related melodrama.  But I think whatever might be happening will be in service to the plot.  As far as Serkan having a health-scare related to the crash, as I said above it’s very plausible. I mean what are the chances that a man survives a plane crash, is fished out of the sea, spends weeks in a hospital, gets amnesia and is perfectly fine 3-4 months later with no other repercussion? Doesn’t seem possible!
Anonymous said: Liza, the second set of writers is really coming back! We might actually get comeuppance for Selin!
YESS!!!!! Please. I had completely lost hope with the last set of writers who seemed hellbent on normalizing her behavior.  Look I’d be fine with a 3 minute conversation where Serkan tells her that he knows she’s a manipulative liar and the baby is not his, that he wants her out of their lives for good, and that if she ever comes near Eda ever again he will personally destroy her.
Is that so much to ask?
Though I’d like her to be humiliated in front of the rest of the team. Just so everyone knows what kind of psycho she is and no one in Edser’s orbit is tempted to give her another chance ever again.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.  With the news that Sarp Can (Deniz) is COVID positive, he obviously won’t be back on set anytime soon. They could probably get some VO from him if necessary, for a phone convo, but I’m gonna guess he’s done on screen.
It’s time to write both characters out!
As for the 22-23, 25-30 writers coming back, that is the best news I’ve had in ages.  They weren’t perfect, but the things they did well, they did really, really well. Their comedy, romantic scenes, heartfelt dialogue, accurate characterizations and penchant for sizzling scenes that “break the Turkish family structure” will all be most welcome. I’m really excited for the first time in ages.
Anonymous said: Very interesting that the fragman did not address the Selin baby drama at all. It focused solely on Edser which was a welcome change while at the same time has me a bit nervous for the angst & drama no doubt headed our way. But if Eda & Serkan are together for good now to face the challenges coming then I cannot wait to watch. The last episode was so well done but Eda & Serkan were both near their breaking points for different reasons & you just felt awful for both of them. Really glad that the engagement did not happen and the show focused on the fallout from Serkan’s amnesia. And even had the side characters addressing how difficult things have been for Eda and that she might need some time before picking things back up with Serkan! Looking forward to the resolution of the baby story/exit of Selin and seeing Eda & Serkan heal together.
I hope that the fact that nothing Selin-related was addressed in the fragman means that we finally have people in charge who understand that we are so damned fatigued of Selin that featuring her an active deterrent for viewers.  Also I haven’t seen any evidence that Bige has been on set for 38. That doesn’t mean she hasn’t, it’s still possible, but it is encouraging that the ep will be  light on Selin.
As far as the drama and angst, I think there’s more headed our way, however I’m hopeful it will be the good kind and not the kind that made us really uncomfortable and want to tear our hair out during the Selin/Deniz era. We know that Eda and Serkan must decide to stay together (spending time together, ring finger tattoos) so the point of the pregnancy storyline is done. When Eda found out Selin was pregnant, it gave Selin the chance for one last Hail Mary pass, and she took it, trying to break them up, but it failed. So it’s usefulness is over. She can’t keep the charade going because of Deniz, and because once Serkan has time to calm down and think, he’ll realize that any time in Slovania where he was so injured that it’s possible he doesn’t remember, he also would have been too physically incapacitated to do anything of the sort.
As for Eda needing some time, yes, things in 36 were just too easy for Serkan in terms of the fallout from his amnesic behavior. Episode 37 made him work for it and I think come to terms with the fact that, Selin manipulations or no, there’s work to do and things he needs to atone for.  Putting her first throughout the episode, and showering her with love, was a good start.
Anonymous said: The conversations Selin had with Eda, Serkan and Aydan in this episode had my blood boiling. Someone stop this psycho! The unnecessary hole digging was real, my god. I don't care if she's pregnant, don't hold Eda back this time and let her fight this snake. Let everyone fight her! If she's lying to Deniz now, he can fight her too.
I know, she reached new levels of abusive manipulation.  They better be planning a comeuppance, if she’s just allowed to leave with people waving goodbye, I will scream.  The Aydan conversation with her posing the question about abortion was something else. It came across to me more as a threat. Like... I’m thinking about doing this, if you don’t want my decision to be your fault, you better stay on the right side of me.
The Eda and Serkan stuff goes without saying. It still floors me that she’s willing to pretend like she raped him (if he can’t remember because he was that injured and foggy, then it’s impossible for him to have given consent.) rather than just giving up and living the truth.
Anonymous said: Like I get it (kind of) but I am so sick of watching Serkan be nice to Selin. Very much looking forward to Serkan chewing her out for how much she hurt Eda with this fake Serkan baby daddy story when she is exposed. I get that Serkan feels he is to blame for calling her to Slovenia in the first place & essentially in his mind giving her hope of them being together but he needs to stop excusing her horrible behavior from there. No decent person would take advantage of that situation the way she did. It seems like the only way that Selin will have an epic fall is if Deniz decides to fight for the kid he knows must be his and tell Eda everything. Going to be tough for her to believe initially but it will have to start making sense once she thinks back on things and then if the photos surface then she will know it must be true.
Agreed. I get Serkan’s guilt, and it actually shows what a good person he is, but he needs to get over it.  Because seriously, all Selin was obligated to do when she got his call was to hang up, and then dial one of the following: his mother, his father, his fiancé or best friend/business partner Engin. That’s it. Call them and say, hey, Serkan’s alive, this is where you’ll find him. But NOPE! Instead she decided to fly there, manipulate him, keep him hidden and try to use it to get back with him. She made him beholden to her, just another in the long line of brainwashing and manipulation. Her flying to his bedside was the wrong thing to do, and it would be great if someone beside Eda recognized that.
Anonymous said: Even though Selin is the worst and I just cannot wait for her to finally be unmasked as the manipulator she is, I am really looking forward to Edser in the next episode. Eda taking care of Serkan after he passes out, the two of them reaffirming their commitment to each other with the tattoos & possible elopement, Eda reassuring Serkan that she will be at his side even if the kid turns out to be his and also the two of them working together to get to the truth. So darn excited! And if the spoilers are right that Deniz tells Eda the truth and Serkan sees the photos from Ferit then I will be so happy. It is time for Selin to go for good!
SELIN MUST GO. Yes, I think as soon as the news that Selin is pregnant and trying to pass it off as Serkan’s brain-fog baby, Ferit will unleash the photos. (if it’s him that has them).
I just want Selin and Deniz gone so we can focus on other things. Their presence on this show is a energy drain, and I want to focus on rain frolicking, motorcycles and bed sharing!!!!!
Anonymous said: I'm so glad that we had a scene of Serkan telling Eda that even without his memories he fell in love with her again, he just couldn't admit it. Serkan has an interesting perspective on the memory loss part of their lives where I think he almost feels too guilty about it all and just wants to move past it. I've noticed that in his dialogues in 36 & 37 where he wants to leave it in the past and basically do his all to make it all up to her in the present and future.
I think this is very well observed. He definitely was trying to leave the past in the past, but honestly I think that’s just laziness on the part of the old writers, not wanting to have to have a reckoning for all the things they had him say or do. Since the writers decided to go that way, I could buy it’s because Serkan feels too guilty about it all. We know how much he loathes making mistakes or being wrong or owing apologies. If that’s what they wanted to do, it would have gone a long way if they’d shown a bit more of him blaming himself, especially in 36.
I was also very happy that Serkan came out and said that he’s fallen in love with her again. My only thing is I wish if they were going to do that, they would have thrown a little more detail in the dialogue. Like Serkan admitting to her that he started thinking about her all the time as soon as he returned and met her, maybe admit that he slept on his office couch clutching her wedding invitation.  A couple of things like that would have been very nice for Eda to hear.
Anonymous said: SCK sure loves creating difficult situations for Eda & Serkan. I really felt for Serkan in the last episode especially since he was back to being the romantic robot we all love. He so baldly wants to make up for lost time with Eda that he rushes ahead with the proposal and then gets crushed when she rejects him. And then spends most of the episode frantically trying to figure out what is going on with her and trying to show her how much he loves her. I was really happy though that the show addressed a few different times how awful the last few months have been for Eda and it also made Serkan address it. His plan to just forget about everything and move forward did not happen. Loved that the side characters stepped up to remind him of everything he & Selin put Eda through. Not so crazy that the show decided to use Selin’s pregnancy as the plot device to get Serkan to finally realize “oh yeah, what happened since my accident is a very big deal & now I have to face it & come to terms with it” but still glad it happened. Selin is obviously so much more in the wrong than Serkan but let’s hope her downfall takes place in the next episode.
All of this.  I think you’re exactly right, Serkan tried to brush past everything and I’m glad that finally the other characters stepped up a little to help make him see that he had more work to do. Special shout out to Seyfi for his sassy comment about Serkan almost marrying another woman. And finally Piril was useful and acted like a friend, the first time she had since he returned.

petty cache
Tumblr media
thank you for coming to read my diary which masquerades as a blog but is actually just a vessel for disseminating my birthday wishlists. it’s like an event you show up to where the host tries to sell you a timeshare 25 minutes after some requisite, mindless song and dance.
welcome! if you’d like purchase a timeshare, scroll to the bottom. for the song and dance, look no further:
the other day i zoned out on zoom therapy and when my therapist asked where i “went” i had to lie because i had gone to the part of my brain that holds all the things i need to think about forever for no reason (i call it the petty cache — this is an umbrella term for the space that also houses my attitude cabinet) and dusted off a memory of a comment i saw on a stranger’s facebook three weeks ago that said “message me. i lost my password and i have good news to share”.
i don’t know either person, and that’s what i was thinking about. i spend $[redacted] a month on therapy and instead of focusing on one of my numerous unsolved mysteries, i was thinking about the nuances of this comment - like why they wouldn’t just share the news or message the person directly? or what losing their password had to do with anything? or why they would comment on facebook instead of texting or calling the person. did they not have their number? imagine not knowing someone well enough to have their phone number, but still wanting to share your good news with them!
all i want (for my birthday) is to know what the news is that this stranger has to share, and i’ll never know so i have to put that comment in my minutiae repository with all the other things that will plague me until i die from texting and driving, smoke inhalation as a result of purposely leaving a candle lit in my home overnight almost every night, consuming half a dozen hot dogs a week, or a now unnamed disease that will posthumously be attributed to my chronic inability to mind my own business.
i’m constantly concerning myself with things that are none of my concern - no matter how insignificant - because my brain is a commune of sentient pepperoni running instagram polls among themselves to discern if something is worth spending an inordinate amount of time thinking about. and guess what? it turns out absolutely everything that has ever offended, confused, bothered, intrigued, slightly inconvenienced, or merely happened to me is worth spending an inordinate amount of time thinking about.
because i devote so much energy to nonsense, i can often be found persecuting strangers for insulting me on the internet (and for other miscellaneous bad behavior). the information superhighway is my home so i have to protect myself (and my friends) here, and if that means spending 45 minutes to 48 hours trying to find every misstep you’ve made in your life until i have enough ammunition to spray a dozen simulated retaliatory bullets at your virtual head because you called me a “stupid bitch” on instagram, well… so be it!
i am relentless in my pursuit of wasting time, so if that doesn’t work, i will find the cold stone creamery you frequent, seek employment there, be hired on the spot, learn the craft, be promoted to manager, poison you on your birthday, gain access to your funeral, and tarnish your reputation by reading your shitty DM in front of the few family and friends whom i haven’t already made aware of the abhorrent way you conducted yourself online!
there are so many different ways strangers will try to hurt your feelings — an interesting genre of which come from men who (like me) have definitely never had sex before, and mistakenly think i care about the ways in which my body does not make them horny.
“no tits” one will say. and i’m like, how do you want me to respond to that? my boobs are indeed small, yes. did you come here to shoot facts back and forth all day? ok: you’re going to start balding way sooner than you’re prepared for, i bet your childhood dog is dead, your time on the internet should be supervised, your closet is full of vests, and you wait on line at nightclubs… good day?!
while i will obviously engage with anyone if they want to fight, i prefer when the unsolicited criticism is personalized, and not just thoughtless, lazily devised tripe.
a year and a half ago, a man who looked like he exhales smog DMed me to let me know - among other things in a paragraph long rant - he’d “lost brain cells” watching my story. knowing he had likely never had an adequate amount to begin with, it seemed like an emergency, so i started a group DM with his wife. because his message had come just three days after a “fuckkk [heart eye emoji]” response to a photo of my ass, i included a screenshot as evidence of his devolving mental state.
being - presumably - gainfully employed, neither of them responded.
luckily, the consolation prize for insulting me is that you gain residency in my brain and stay in my thoughts and prayers for all eternity, so i checked in on them a few days ago. they’d unfollowed and wiped their feeds clean of each other!!
because i’ve never “moved on” in my entire life, i fired up our long dormant group chat, and sent my condolences: “aw. sorry your trip to positano - where you were going to attempt to repair your ramshackle marriage - got cancelled because of covid and so you just got divorced instead :(” i wrote before being blocked by both of them.
then i headed right over to my therapist’s facebook and commented “message me. i lost my password and i have good news to share”
i spent an entire therapy session detailing this monomania before my therapist thoughtfully suggested i “pick [my] battles”.
to which i thoughtfully responded: yeah, babe. i pick every single one.

IC PORTION; BASICS —
CHARACTER NAME/ALIAS: Mia Dearden / Speedy (the second)
FACECLAIM: Ester Exposito
AFFILIATIONS: Team Arrow, Teen Titans, the Nomads
AGE (physical age as well, if different): 23
SPECIES (human, metahuman, alien, etc): Human
IS YOUR CHARACTER’S IDENTITY SECRET OR PUBLIC? Secret
IF SECRET, OR YOUR CHARACTER IS A CIVILIAN, DO THEY HAVE A CIVILIAN OCCUPATION? Mia is new in town, and is currently focusing her efforts on aid work. She’s working hard at learning the language so that she can be of more assistance, and potentially work in town in the future.
IF YOUR CHARACTER LIVES IN THE FORTRESS, WHAT ARE THEIR DUTIES? Refugee outreach, and whatever else she might be decent at. She’s happy to help out, but can’t cook for shit.
DESCRIBE SIX TRAITS (3 positive, 3 negative) YOUR CHARACTER HAS AND HOW THESE AFFECT THEM: + Empathetic and caring: Mia, having been through as much as she has, has a strong push to help others. She has trouble turning people who need help away, and will often find herself reaching for a way to help them. She worked at the community center back home to help youth at a disadvantage (much as she had been herself), and found time to spare to volunteer time at the domestic violence shelter as well. + Bold: Mia is unafraid and outgoing, making her personality very loud and bold. She’s unafraid to speak her mind, and is often quite blunt and straight to the point. She speaks to people easily (though making friends is another matter) and is always one to make her presence known. Mia has never been one to slip through the cracks unless it was by personal choice. Mia is best described as an extrovert, and has trouble containing her feelings whether they’re positive or negative. + Determined: Mia more or less forced her way into being Speedy, which is a surefire show of her determination. Once she sets her mind on something, she will achieve it. Mia has no problems setting goals for herself and setting up steps to get to these goals (yet she struggled with school, ironic). It is hard to sway her away from an idea once she gets her mind set to it. - Stubborn: Hand in hand with determined goes stubborn. Once Mia has her opinion set on something, it’s hard to sway her opinion otherwise. She’s unfortunately very hard to persuade out of her opinions, and once she’s got her mind set on something it’s often set in stone. Even when she can feel herself losing, Mia struggles with letting things go. Hard-headed was the term her mother always used, along with the phrase stubborn as a donkey. - Angry and Confrontational: Considering everything Mia has gone through in her life, having a solid angry streak is something that had been more or less unavoidable. She has a temper that’s quick to ignite, and she often has trouble bringing herself down once it’s sparked. Mia has the type that can go from 0-100 very quickly, though not at all the other way around. Mia is the type that enjoys confrontation, and it’s something she thrives in. Arguments are her specialty, and not something she will back down from. She is certainly not the type to let things go, and would rather argue until she was blue in the face. She would much rather deal with things now rather than later (and cannot understand why people would rather just let things fester). - Defiant & Rebellious:The word ‘no’ is a trigger word for Mia. Being told she cannot do something makes Mia want to do it all the more, and she is even more likely to try once she’s been told she shouldn’t. Rebellion is something that runs deep, even if she (sometimes) tries to fight it. Sometimes with reasoning she’s able to understand the no, but it’s hard to swallow down the urge to do it anyway.
POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES: Mia excels in archery and acrobatics. The latter came in handy in her time on the streets, and the former is a well-honed and learned skill. Mia is quick and discreet, and able to slip through crowds with ease. Mia has become proficient in swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat as well. While she is capable of close-range fighting with mixed-martial-arts abilities, she prefers to keep her fighting from a distance when given the option. She’s also a damned good pick-pocket, but well, that’s neither here nor there.
WEAKNESSES: Her immune system is absolutely garbage, and she tends to take a bit longer to heal than she’d like. She tries to be careful to keep herself in proper health, and does her best to avoid injury. As best as a crime-fighting vigilante can, anyway.  Her inability to keep her damn mouth shut can definitely be considered a weakness as well.
WHAT DREW YOU TO THIS CHARACTER? Mia is a goddamn *rockstar.* She was absolutely groundbreaking for the comic book industry considering her positive status, and her persistence is something I admire. Mia has a fighting spirit and doesn’t really take no for an answer, which is something I absolutely love about her. She’s also not exactly popular in the rpc, and I adore her.
IC PORTION; DETAILS —
WHAT BROUGHT YOUR CHARACTER TO SOKOVIA? Honestly? A bleeding heart. Mia always felt too damn much, especially when it came to people in need. The events that transpired in Sokovia had made her nauseous. It didn’t take long for her to get wind of the Nomads, and Mia thought maybe she could be of use, someway or another.
DID THEY SIGN THE ACCORDS? WHY OR WHY NOT? Absofreakinglutely not. The Green Arrow didn’t sign either, and that would be enough reason for Mia to be deterred in the first place. All in all, Mia did not agree with the Accords whatsoever. Vigilantes existed because the law was imperfect, because sometimes there needed to be a little extra oomph applied when things just couldn’t get done legally speaking.
PROVIDE 3-5 HEADCANONS RELATED TO YOUR CHARACTER: Despite her hatred of traditional schooling, Mia is an avid reader and educated in her own way. She hated the structure of school, hated having to interact with others her own age, hated having to get up before noon (and well, she’s always had an authority problem)...but she actually likes learning. She spends a lot of her downtime reading whatever she can get her hands on. Mia also enjoys video games, and may or may not stream herself playing at times via twitch or youtube. It’s an easy way to veg out and socialize without really socializing. Mia loves boxing, and does it often. She’s found it’s a good channel for frustration as well as a good way to train. In her apartment back in Star City, she has a punching bag set up in her living room and found herself at the community center often. Mia has an adrenaline rush addiction that she struggles with daily. She left her motorcycle back home in Star City, and finds she misses the rush of riding (way too fast) more than she thought she would. She’s looking into having it shipped, or finding a local one to fix up. Semi-related, she does all the maintenance on her motorcycle herself, having taught herself with repair manuals and youtube tutorials. MIa smokes like a chimney, though is trying very hard to quit. She knows it’s not the best idea, considering her health, but she just can’t help herself. She’s tried everything - the gum, the patches, replacing the habit with something else. She’s quit several times, but has always picked it back up again.
WANTED CHARACTER CONNECTIONS: TEAM ARROW! Roy Harper, Oliver Queen, Dinah Lance: These are Mia’s people. She might not necessarily always agree or get along with her adopted family, but Mia’s loyal to them to her very bones. She respects the Green Arrow and still affiliates herself with him, so I’m eager for interactions with a potential Oliver in the future. I’m also very eager for Arrow-lady interactions with Dinah! TEEN TITANS! Mia didn’t really have too-too much interaction with the Titans, but I’m excited for potential in Sokovia!
POTENTIAL CHARACTER ARCS: Give me Nomad things! Mia made the jump to help out in Sokovia more on a whim than anything. She’s very much a sidekick out of her element, but she wants to help. That being said, I could really see herself throwing herself into the local life? She would want to help on a smaller, more personal level. Help the kids with school, help rebuild someone’s house. She’s going to do her best to try to learn the language so she can potentially work in-town with the locals as well, maybe bartending. Maybe she can serve as kind of a liaison down the road?
CHARACTER BIO — (tw include: mentions of abuse, parental death, drug use/abuse, brief touchings on child exploitation/teen dating an older man/pedophilia, HIV)
Mia does not like to talk about her childhood. A quick overview would detail her father’s abuse of her mother, and her mother’s drug use. Her father used too, but drinking was more his style. Next would be her mother’s death when she was young. Her father’s abuse then turned to her instead, which she was forced to tolerate for several years. She was eleven when she ran away from home. Mia decided that she would sooner take her chances on the street than stay in that house any longer, and unfortunately, that was the fate she found. Living on the streets was still favorable to living at home, but it wasn’t without struggles. Mia was hungry more often than not, and often couldn’t sleep in the same place for more than a few nights in a row. A smaller-than-average homeless eleven-year-old certainly did bring in some sympathy donations, but it was never enough. The shelters in Star City were often full, and eleven was much too young to even consider a hotel or an apartment. She was twelve when she met Richard, who was over twice her age, and that was when things took a spin for the worse. She thought he loved her, he promised to take care of her, and she was too young and desperate (with very skewed feelings of what love was after all she’d lived through)  to realize this was just abuse of a different kind. She was with him for over a year - sometimes out on the streets again, sometimes holed up in a seedy motel and for a few months, a scuzzy apartment. Richard gave her a taste of the drugs that had taken her mother, and Mia suddenly understood why her mother had been so willing to do whatever it took just to get high. But before long Mia was wondering when she would escape this, when things would get better, and thought maybe it would be better to be on her own again. He wouldn’t let her, the abusive pattern she’d survived as a child returning. Dependent on him for shelter, food and drugs, Mia felt more trapped than she ever had. Until she was saved by the Green Arrow. Mia immediately had adoration for the man that saved her life, and she felt ever-indebted to him for helping to get her off the streets, clean herself up and piece together her life. While he was reluctant at first, Mia began to train with him. This gave her life a purpose that she’d never had before, and Mia found herself feeling better than she ever had. She learned she excelled at archery with a little bit of training, and the scrappy fighting skills she’d adopted on the streets became more defined as she learned hand-to-hand combat skills. When not training or in school (something she fought tooth and nail), Mia spent the majority of her free time volunteering and later working at the Star City Recreational Center, and later the domestic violence shelter in town. Mia fantasized of eventually becoming a sidekick to the Green Arrow, even though he squashed that idea from the start. She would persuade him some way, somehow. Mia had just started to feel stable for the first time in her life when things took a downward spiral. It had started with a fever and just general feelings of illness, though things progressively got worse. She finally dragged herself into the clinic in Star City, and would find that things were much worse than she ever could have thought. What she thought was the flu turned out to be HIV, a permanent reminder of the mistakes she’d made and her time on the streets. The doctor assured her that while serious, the diagnosis was not the death sentence it had once been. If Mia was responsible and took the prescribed medications and took precautions, then her prognosis was very promising. HIV wasn’t curable, but controllable. And well, Mia had already been pretty successful at taking control of her life. If anything, her diagnosis was even more of a push for her to become the sidekick she dreamed of being. It took persuasion, but Mia finally donned the title of Speedy (the second), the sidekick to the Green Arrow. She took care to extra-hone in on her long distance fighting skills in hopes to avoid close-contact fighting and end up in a potentially extra-hairy situation. With Oliver’s insistence, Mia joined up with the Teen Titans.T his was done reluctantly, and Mia did not stay with the Titans long. She did, however, feel comfortable enough with them to disclose her status, and occasionally returned to help them on missions. Her passion was with Team Arrow, and that was made even more clear when working with others. The events at Sokovia were devastating, and MIa struggled with her decision making process for quite some time. She’d always been interested in refugee work - as she’d gotten older she volunteered with the Red Cross as well as with various agencies around Star City. The innate instinct to help those in need was strong, and it was pulling her towards Sokovia. Speedy was helpful, sure, but Mia was fairly certain that her experiences as Mia Dearden might be more helpful when it came to the situation at hand. She knew what it felt like to have your world falling apart, and she was more than happy to help others put their pieces back together.

writing blind characters: some common considerations
Hey if you're gonna write Daredevil fic or any fic about a blind character really please do some basic goddamn research. Here is a helpful list of starting links and considerations! You don't even have to type words into google!!
Note: This isn't aimed at anybody in particular. There are things the comics, the show, or fic, get write and other things they get wrong and they're not all the same so this is just a generalized list of the most common areas where misconceptions seem to happen. This can also be generalized and used for any other blind character in the 2010s in North America.
Phones and computers While someone who is blind might use the voice-to-text feature like Ok google or Siri for convenience sake, the primary way of interacting with a smartphone is by using a screenreader. They come built in to iPhone and Android products and have for like, the last ten years (Android was a little slower on the uptake, whatever). You touch the screen, it reads out what is under your finger. If you double-tap it, it activates it. You type by sliding your finger across the keyboard and lifting it up when you're on the letter you want. All of this is applicable to tablets as well. Windows and Mac computers! also using screenreaders! Mac's in built in, windows has a built in one but it's shitty. There's an expensive option for Windows and a by-donation option, both of which work well. There's even a screenreader for Linux, though it works better on certain distros than others. You do your navigating with the keyboard (and no, you don’t need a special braille one) unless you suspect there's something on the screen that can only be accessed by the mouse, but using the mouse isn't super responsive and it's not intuitive for people who have been using computers for a while. Apparently Macbooks have a track pad that we should all bow down and praise, I have no clue. Note that if you have any goddamn respect for your own privacy and not irritating other people, your phone will not blare out incoming text messages. Call display in Android has been fucking broken for actual years but as far as i know it does work in iPhone.
Here are a couple demo videos, but there's plenty more out there. Talkback for Android https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJSWYLZD8EI JAWS for Windows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_ATY9gimOM (this guy has key echo turned on and I don't know how he hasn't thrown his computer out the window yet)
Braille displays and braille printers So the biggest fucking mystery about Daredevil is how he could afford a braille display as a starving lawyer haunted by student debt, but sure ok we'll go with it. There are a variety of braille displays out there! You can hook them up to your phone or computer via bluetooth or usb, and it will display the contents of the screen line by line on the display. Most displays will also let you input text and commands in braille. Note that as of this writing, you need to have a screenreader running on your computer/phone to use a braille display. I'm not sure what display Matt uses in the show, but here's the wikipedia article in case you want to learn more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refreshable_braille_display
As for braille printing, yet again, I'm just going to tell myself he managed to find one cheap second hand or paid for it with a small business grant or something. And while ymmv in terms of how much hard copy braille material you want to use, chances are it's not going to be a lot. Braille paper is extra thick and braille is bigger than print, so documents that might only be one print page could be two or three braille pages. One of the Harry Potter books was ten volumes. I think my high school biology textbook was twenty volumes. It came in three massive cardboard boxes. I have no idea how big my university textbooks would have been, or if they even exist, because i did all of that with ebooks or scanned versions. So I guess what I'm saying is yes, there can absolutely be times when preference or necessity means somebody's using actual braille printed on an actual braille printer, but chances are pretty low it's going to be all the time or even often.
Mobility! As a friend of mine once said, Matthew stop abandoning your canes everywhere, that's forty bucks down the drain every time and also not really subtle. Not a lot here besides like, the normal term for it is cane. White cane if you need to differentiate it from a walking cane (though fuck it they can be whatever colour you want). Stick if you don't know what you're talking about or your a blind person trying to like... use ironic humour or something i don't know; some people have done it. As for guide dogs? They do not just appear magically from the friendly guide dog fairy. you cannot give them as a gift. They do not know where the shopping mall is or what bus to get on or when to cross the street. Getting a dog is a long, complex, and careful process that requires a big time and effort commitment. There are a variety of different guide dog schools out there, but if they're promising to ship you a fully trained dog if you just send your credit card information kthx you're in for an unfortunate surprise. Finally, a dog is not leveling up from a cane. They are two different mobility aids, both with different pros and cons. You don't graduate from cane to dog. If you want you can switch from one to the other, which can depend on lots of things like the environment you live in, the sorts of things you do, your own health, your family and other pets, etc.
Anyway ok I'm done and if you have questions, fuck it, my ask box is open

Reply to @prurientpuddlejumper on this ask:
I’m sorry you’re frustrated or if I offended you somehow, but to be frank I don’t appreciate the tone you’re using here. However, to answer you anyway:
> they def meant the links to these alleged "online generators," because I am in the same boat as anon
First of all, unless you ARE that anon, I don’t think you can say they “def” meant anything, since they never came back to clarify, and I did try my best to answer them the first time, and I seemed to have helped since they didn’t come back to report any problems with my answer.
Second of all, “alleged”? That’s very rude. Just because you cannot see them on tumblr mobile, does not mean they do not exist. Plenty of other people have used them just fine, as evidenced by the many posts submitted to this blog. And as the last two people who’ve asked about mobile access before never came back with problems, I can only assume they simply went on the desktop site to use the generators instead of accusing me that it’s not accessible at all.
>  post after post about how you updated the UI or whatnot with no link to the thing you updated
It was only two posts (so far anyway), and if you read them closely, you may have noticed I said I was only working on new updates, that they weren’t done, and that they aren’t out yet. And also that “the current generators are still up” so that people have a fully functional version of the generator to use, even if it’s not as pretty as the update is going to be. So no, there is no “link to the thing I updated”, because it’s not done yet. And as the point of the post was about the updates-to-come, I saw no need to promote a link to the generators that are currently available. Seeing as you want that though, I shall go correct those posts and link it, for your and future readers’ convenience.
I apologize for the misunderstanding, if I wasn’t clear enough about the updates being a work-in-progress. I was just trying to update my actual followers (of which I noticed that you are not one) that I was working on stuff, since this blog is usually pretty quiet.
> I REALLY wanna see it, and am growing increasingly frustrated about how much work you're pouring into this *thing* without giving mobile users any way to *access it*.
Again, I’m sorry this is frustrating to you, and you do bring up some legitimate feedback about the mobile accessibility. As I mentioned, I’ve answered at least two asks about this issue before, but since it’s been a few years and phones have definitely gotten more powerful I can look into developing a proper mobile version. But a lot of issues come up with making a mobile version, namely UI and responsive design (because I’d have to account for both vertical and horizontal orientation, and again I reiterate that UI design is hard), dynamic coding/image generation/data input/font importing and styling/etc., and how to save the actual generated image or at the very least the export/import save data for later use on a desktop browser. It takes a lot of work (more than most people realize, I imagine), so if you would like to help with that, let me know, otherwise you have no right to shame me for not making a mobile version, taking my time, or doing any of this.
As it is, you can actually still access the generator on mobile, just not tumblr mobile. You just have to go to a browser on your phone (there’s a reason my URL is so simple). However, as mentioned above, the template was not designed with mobile in mind, so all the fonts and effects and arrangement on the template itself just looks... not like it’s supposed to. Which, again, is part of the issue with the design, but at least you can access it on mobile, against your claims that you cannot.
Tumblr media
Also, I mainly made this a desktop site because of how large the dimensions of the template are, in order to make sure the text is visible/legible even in the downsized preview image. Even when I view the template on my phone, I have to zoom in a lot, and with the current live version of the online generators, it would have made scrolling around to input data annoying. The PSDs, as well, would be inaccessible on mobile as far as I know (if Photoshop Mobile has improved enough to handle all the layers, masks, and effects, I’m unaware) so it was a conscious decision to make this whole thing desktop-only when I first started this blog several years ago.
> Even the "downloads" link you just shared just redirects back to this same page. Which is probably because you've hidden all the links away in "pages" which are completely invisible and inaccessible on the mobile app
It’s very much tumblr’s fault, and I really should have thought of that at first, but again, it was a conscious decision to make this a desktop site. Even if I made rebloggable/viewable posts with the links in them (which I plan to do soon, if only to satisfy mobile users like you), only the PSD download links would work (but again, not sure how well downloading PSDs work on mobile devices), as the tumblr app will still loop back to the blog, since the online generator is still one of those blog “pages”. And that is not changing for as long as I don’t have the time or money to host it on its own domain.
I can’t change the fact that tumblr mobile doesn’t automatically open blog pages in an external browser, so the only solution I can offer you is to take the extra step to copy the url and go into your mobile device’s actual internet browser, or just go to your browser and type in my URL manually.
If you actually couldn’t access the templates at all (which should not be an issue if you “REALLY wanna see it” given that not only did I offer you explanations and solutions for the tumblr app problem, but also that it IS accessible on desktop and you reasonably could have just gone on a computer) or had any other problem with them, I have made no stranger of myself and have always been open to help people. They have been polite or nice when they do talk to me, and I’ve always tried to be cordial in return. Your feedback is legitimate, and I appreciate it, but you really could have worded your implied suggestion a little better. And to be quite honest, I was offended by the rudeness of your reply, especially when you called my hard work a “*thing*”. Those asterisks imply a very negative tone, in case you weren’t aware.
I get the impression that you think that your demand will be fulfilled right away if you make enough fuss about it, but I’m not going to be manipulated or guilt-tripped because you feel bad. Maybe you don’t mean it that way, but you can “grow increasingly frustrated” all you want, because not only am I working on this for free, on my free time, and by myself, but I am also not doing this for you. You’re right that I am pouring a lot of work into this, as much work as any fan artist or fanfiction writer will put into their own works, and I’m very proud of it (both as it is now and what it will be in the future) and I have fun working on it, but this is not my job. And you’re not paying for a service.
I’m not working for anyone, and I have no reason to have made more than I originally did--originally I only made the student template PSDs for some friends, and the generator (which seems to be my most popular template, even though my original focus was on the PSDs) only came about because one of my friends didn’t have Photoshop. And I wasn’t even going to release either of them to the public, but I did, and the villain ones came over a year later because of this blog and the people who follow it. No one asked for a user interface update (in fact, more people have asked for a pro hero template), but I’m doing it anyway because I can and I want to. That’s all this boils down to. Also my free time (if you hadn’t noticed, everything on my blog runs on a queue, and when I do queue stuff it’s usually like 3am or so--including right now... it’s currently 5am actually) and motivation (I’m well aware of how few people actually use the templates compared to how many people follow and reblog the posts, and honestly it’s a little discouraging). So if I do make a mobile version, be aware that it won’t be coming out for a very long time. (Also, I think you’re the only one in several years who has complained about it, and you are literally 1 in... what, 3000+ people? Judging by the number of notes on the original post I made when I started the blog and my current number of followers. And again, you’re not even one of them. So to be honest, I’m really not motivated to work on this quickly.)
If you want it faster? Being nice when you show your interest helps, it’s how I got encouraged to make the villain templates. Though I never asked for much other than patience. Or at the very least, the respect any fandom content creator deserves--I may not be cranking out fanart daily or new chapters of a fanfiction weekly or anything, but I am still providing the fandom with something they can enjoy at no cost. And like reviews on fics or comments on art, many people have expressed that they’re grateful the templates and generators exist at all, unlike you, which is really the reason this blog continues to exist and the generators/templates to be updated with new and improved features. I could have just left my original template generator up there and abandoned it, but I know how it feels to find out a fanart you loved years ago was deleted or a really good fanfic was discontinued. So I’ll continue to work on it, and yes I’ll put mobile compatibility for the generators on my to-do list, but I’ll do it at my own pace.
Also I’m not making money off of this, but hey, if you wanna give me incentive that way, hop into my DMs or something and we’ll talk, but I’ve never asked for donations or anything and I don’t plan to. The generators and templates are free for use, and most of that is because of tumblr, which gave it a platform and a home. If I hosted it on its own domain, I’d need a means to pay for that, and I’m personally not invested enough to do that when tumblr is free and works well enough.
If you or anyone else wants to help change that, come talk to me, the ask box is always open.
Otherwise, please visit this blog page on a desktop browser or at the very least something that isn’t just the tumblr mobile app, because nothing can be done about mobile compatibility right now, and I’d hate for you to miss out on seeing the templates. Hopefully I can look forward to whatever you will create with it.

2020: Future of USA & Australia
Tumblr media
Coming to a town near you ...
For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men everyone against his neighbour. (Zechariah 8:10)
During the 1960s, KGB officer Yuri Bezmenov worked for the Communist equivalent of Orwell’s Ministry of Truth, the Novosti Press Agency. Novosti produced disinformation: slanted and false stories to plant in the foreign media. Bezmenov specialised in aiding the infiltration and overthrow of foreign governments by deceiving (hand-picked) visiting international journalists and academics into falsely reporting in the West that life in communist Russia was healthy, even desirable and romantic. This was a means of spreading propaganda to the West and increasing the spread of Marxist-Lenin doctrine by Communist subverters in academia, journalism, Hollywood and politics.
Bezmenov attested to the truly hellish existence under ‘Soviet fascism’ where the government arranged marriages and sent independent thinkers to labour camps and firing squads. More than two people standing on a Soviet street corner constituted grounds for arrest and internment (just like today). Painting horses galloping against a tumultuous stormy background was grounds for arrest, since this symbolised uprising against the State.
In 1970, Bezmenov defected to the USA and changed his name to Tomas Schuman. There he spent his remaining life warning America to rid itself of the Marxist-Lenin doctrine infiltrating Western culture. In 1984, he wrote:[1]
My dear friends, I think you are in big trouble. Whether you believe it or not, YOU ARE AT WAR. And you may lose this war very soon, together with all your affluence and freedoms, unless you start defending yourselves. I hope you have noticed on your color televisions that there is in fact war going on right now all over this planet. This war has many faces, but it’s all the same — it’s war. Some call it “national liberation”, some title it “class struggle” or “political terrorism”. Others call it “anticolonialism” or “struggle for majority rule”. Some even come up with such fancy names as “war of patriotic forces” or “peace movement”. I call it World Communist Aggression…
The final stage of Communist aggression — military confrontation — has very little to do with rivalry for territorial or geopolitical gains in order to free and liberate. Communist world aggression is a total war against humanity and human civilization. In Communist propaganda terms, this is “the final struggle for the victory of Communism.
No matter how many problems you think the U.S. may have, believe me when I say that they are nothing in comparison to the troubles you will experience if the U.S. continues to agree and sympathize with communist/socialist doctrines…
IDEOLOGICAL SUBVERSION
The KGB’s main (85%) activity is subversion. In Soviet terminology, ‘subversion’ always means a destructive, aggressive activity aimed to destroy the country of your enemy. Subversion activities are overt and legal. A typical subverter is an exchange student, diplomat, actor, artist, a journalist. You can’t subvert an enemy who doesn’t want to be subverted. Bezmenov wrote:
An integral part of this war of ideology is IDEOLOGICAL SUBVERSION — the process of changing the perception of reality in the minds of millions of peoples all over the world. The late comrade Andropov, the former head of the Soviet KGB called this war of Communist aggression:
“The final struggle for the MINDS and hearts of the people.”
The art of duping the masses into doing things to their own disadvantage and making them believe it is “the will of people” is as ancient as mankind itself.
The essence of subversion is best expressed in the famous Marxist slogan, (if you substitute “proletarians” for a more appropriate word):
Useful idiots of the world – UNITE!
To achieve the desired effect, the subverter must first — make idiots out of normal people, and DIVIDE them, before turning the people into a homogenized mass of useful and united idiots. Tanks and missiles may or may not be needed at final stage. For the time being they are simply the means of terrorising people into inaction and submission.
500 years before Christ, the Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu formulated the principle of subversion this way:
Cover with ridicule all of the valid traditions in your opponent’s country.
Implicate their leaders in criminal affairs and turn them over to the scorn of their populace at the right time;
Disrupt the work of their government by every means;
Do not shun the aid of the lowest and most despicable individuals of your enemy’s country.
Spread disunity and dispute among the citizens.
Turn the young against the old.
Be generous with promises and rewards to collaborators and accomplices.
Sound familiar? About 2500 years later we can read this very same instruction in a secret document, allegedly authored by the Communist International for their “young revolutionaries”. The document is titled “Rules of Revolution”:
RULES OF REVOLUTION
Corrupt the young, get them interested in sex, take them away from religion. Make them superficial and enfeebled.
Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial issues of no importance.
Destroy people’s faith in their national leaders by holding the latter up for contempt, ridicule and disgrace.
Always preach democracy but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.
By encouraging government extravagances, destroy its credit, produce years of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.
Incite unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of the government towards such disorders.
Cause breakdown of the old moral virtues: honesty, sobriety, self-restraint, faith in the pledged word.
4 STAGES OF SUBVERSION
Bezmenov detailed the four stages of Soviet Ideological Subversion:
Demoralisation
Destabilisation
Crisis
Normalisation (Marshall Law)
Stage 1: DEMORALISATION
This is also called psychological warfare, ideological aggression, or propaganda warfare). It takes 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation because this is the minimum number of years needed to ‘re-educate’ a single of generation of students via Marxist ideology. There are three levels of demoralisation:
Ideas (consciousness)
Structures
Life.
Demoralisation of Ideas involves the subversion of vital areas including religion, education, media and culture. Communism (and its Marxist-Leninist dogma) is a distorted form of faith. Subversion of ideas involves substituting the traditional values of the Judeo-Christian heritage with “Marxist-Satanic faith.” To achieve this, subverters politicise and commercialise the dominant religions and turn them into forms of entertainment. Bezmenov said this included:
Development and spreading of various religious cults, including Satanic and Death cults; preaching moral relativity and removing religion (and prayer, ANY prayer) from schools; creating ‘personality cults’ in religion whereby the preacher becomes the center and object of divine worship, not God (often your religious charlatans claims to be ‘incarnations’ of God, or even God Himself) etc…
Let’s start with the most ‘innocent’ method of destroying religion, namely, making it ENTERTAINING. To attract people and MONEY to ‘established’ religious organizations some churches have literally become theaters conducting variety shows featuring celebrities from the entertainment ‘industry’ who perform for ‘fees’. The KGB Agents of Influence may or may not have to physically manipulate these entertainment arrangements. The indiscriminate choice of the ‘celebrities’ for these church ‘performances’ is usually quite pleasing to the KGB. A group of rock or pop-musicians with a message of ‘social-justice’ sugar-coated in popular ‘spiritual’ tunes can be actually more helpful to the KGB than someone standing in the pulpit preaching Marxist-Leninist doctrine.
COMMERCIALISATION of religion does the same thing. If the church has to SOLICIT your money and remind you over and over again in every TV show to contribute (with telephone numbers to pledge donations), that only means and infers that there is something basically wrong with your faith. Faithful people do not have to be ASKED for money, they tithe to their churches voluntarily and eagerly. Unhealthy competition for donations between various ‘electronic churches’ does two things beneficial to the subverter:
Makes religion dependent on the most successful ‘salesmen’ of God (not necessarily of the highest moral standards). Thus, truly moral and God-centred people are turned off by organized religion.
EMPTIES regular churches, where you have to practice your religion by personal physical presence and participation and involvement.
Politicizing religion is the most efficient method of demoralizing a target nation. The subverter uses moral values for dissemination and enforcement of amoral ideas and policies. Churches become involved in such things as ‘social justice’ and partisan political squabbles and loses focus on mercy and the grace of God. The most powerful instrument of this process is the KGB-infiltrated World Council of Churches.
Dr. Shafarevich in analysing the ‘dead’ civilizations of Egypt, Maya, Mohenjo-Dara, Babylon, etc., comes to an ominous conclusion:
EVERY ONE OF THESE CIVILIZATIONS DIED WHEN PEOPLE REJECTED RELIGION AND GOD, AND TRIED TO CREATE ‘SOCIAL JUSTICE’ ALONG THE SOCIALIST PRINCIPLES.
The Marxist-Leninist concept of education emphasizes ‘environment’ and ‘mass’ character of education over individual abilities and quality… The American romance with state-run education as encouraged by KGB subverters has already produced generations of graduates who cannot spell, cannot find Nicaragua on a world map, cannot THINK creatively and independently. The main methods of Soviet DEMORALISATION of American education include:
Flooding of campus bookstores with Marxist and Socialist literature.
Infiltration of schools and universities by radicals, leftists, and simply ‘disturbers’, often functioning unknowingly under the direct guidance of KGB Agents of Influence.
Establishing numerous ‘student’ newspapers and magazines, staffed with Communists and sympathizers.
Introducing NON-ISSUES is another means of demoralising at the level of Ideas. A non-issue is:
An issue, the solution of which creates more and bigger problems for majority of a nation, even though it may benefit a few, is a non-issue (civil rights of homosexuals is not an issue; defending sexual morality is the larger, real issue). The main purpose of non-issues and the devastating result of their introduction is the SIDE-TRACKING of public opinion, energy (both mental and physical), money and TIME from the constructive solutions.
Minority rights of artificially created divisions – women, gays, Muslims, or black, Indigenous, or Asian people – are an intentional distraction of ‘no importance’ considering the overall loss of human rights being experienced by all. Gay rights are of no importance compared to the rights of child sex trafficking victims – an issue crowds never protest.
Cultural subversion includes the promotion of garbage culture – i.e., anything that prompts teenage insubordination, confuses and frustrates parents, breaks down discipline, and encourages relaxation of authority. A main focus is developing obscure, talentless, immoral musicians and actors into teenage role models. Another focus is the embracement of Eastern spiritual practices, like meditation and marijuana, that encourage one to sit and do nothing. Similarly, Eastern practises in psychology encourage the individual to do nothing.
Demoralisation of the following socio/ political/ economical structures includes:
Judicial and law enforcement system. Promoting legalism instead of justice. Treating criminals as ‘underprivileged’ victims, creates mistrust of the police and courts, and makes people demand harsher punishments and stricter controls for fighting crime.
Public organizations and institutions dealing with relations between individuals, groups and classes of the society.
Security and defence organisations.
Internal political parties and groups.
Foreign policy formulating bodies (academia, think-tanks, Sovietology advisors).
Similarly, in the area of social life, by encouraging you to put your individual RIGHTS over your OBLIGATIONS (any obligations — private, financial, moral, patriotic etc.) the subverter achieves the desired effect: a society composed of IRRESPONSIBLE INDIVI- DUALS, each one “doing his own thing”, and acting according to the “law of jungle”. Such subversion of society is the first step to tyranny.
To demoralise law enforcement, Police were called ‘pigs’ and ‘fascists,’ police agencies watching over subverters and radicals were called ‘spies’ (by the American Union of Civil Liberties) and disbanded, criminals were recruited as police which destroyed police integrity and reputation. Consequently, within 20 years the public lacked civil laws or protection from criminals. The destruction of the police force justifies bringing in the army to replace them.
Demoralisation in areas of family life, health services, food consumption, inter-racial relations, population control, and distribution and labour relations. Marxist-Leninist ideology disguised as “social theories” have greatly contributed to family break-ups, to create children disloyal to families but loyal to the State.
Racial and ethnic interrelations is one of the most vulnerable areas for demoralization… [American] society is the least discriminatory. The Communist ‘solution’ for racial problem is ‘final’: they simply murder those who are different and stubbornly insist on remaining different. Stalin played with whole populations of ‘ethnics’ — ‘resettling’ Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians in Siberia, relocating Crimean Tartars from the tropics to permafrost and Koreans from the Far East to the Kazakhstan deserts…
The present day ‘solution’ to racial inequality is borrowed from Communist mythology: EQUALITY of all racial and ethnic groups LEGISLATED by the government and ENFORCED by state bureaucracies. We know perfectly well that neither races nor INDIVIDUALS are equal, in every respect. We know that every nation and race have its peculiar character, abilities, traditions, mentality, and ability to learn and its individual PACE OF DEVELOPMENT. By mimicking the Soviet ‘national policy’ of equality America simply erases the distinct racial characteristics that have made this country great.
The removal of private land is an important method of demoralisation because:
the poor farmer often is a greater PATRIOT than an affluent dweller of a large congested American city. Communists know this very well… the farmer will fight an invader until last bullet ON HIS LAND. “Underprivileged” or urbanized masses on the other hand, may feel like meeting an invader with flowers and red banners.
Concerning labour relations, the ideological infiltration of labour is well documented. Teachers are the best examples of whinging Marxists. Since Gough Whitlam’s communist cabinet in the 1970s, teachers have spent more time striking for more pay, less work, and more holidays, than producing kids that can actually read and write.
Stage 2: DESTABILISATION
Destabilisation takes 2 to 5 years. The focus here is on the country’s internal power structures, foreign relations, and economy. The first symptom of instability is expressed as the desire of the population to bring to power those politicians and parties who are charismatic, act like good “caretakers” and promise job “security” and “free” social services rather than protection from external and foreign enemies. Think Obamacare.
Stage 3: CRISIS
This stage takes 2 to 6 months. This is the stage we are globally now at.
At this third stage of subversion you will have all your American ‘radicals’ and Soviet ‘sleeper’ agents springing into action, trying to ‘seize power as quickly and ruthlessly as possible… If all the previous stages of Soviet subversion have been successfully completed by that time, the majority of Americans will be so totally confused that they may even WELCOME some ‘strong’ leaders…
The leaders will be given almost unlimited ’emergency powers’.
A forceful change of the U.S. system may or may not be accomplished through a civil war or internal revolution… But change it will be, and rather a drastic one, with all the familiar attributes of Soviet ‘progress’ being instituted such as NATIONALIZATION of vital industries, the reduction of the ‘private sector’ of the economy to the bare minimum, the redistribution of wealth and a massive propaganda campaign by the newly ‘elected’ government to ‘explain’ and justify the reforms.
No, no concentration camps and executions. Not yet. That will come later at:
Stage 4: NORMALISATION
To avoid ‘the bloodshed’, the subverter moves to normalisation. Normalisation is where a country is brought by force into the normal state of socialism. This is where dissidents are placed in camps and publicly or privately executed.
The New Order will need STABILITY and NEW MORALITY. No more ‘grass roots’ movements. No more criticism of the State. The Press will obediently censor itself.
So, Bezmenov predicted the systematic destruction of America’s Judeo-Christian democracy that would culminate in the violent riots occurring in America now, followed by Marshall Law and the instalment of a ‘Communist-fascist’ regime under which everyone will achieve the equality y’all were deceived into protested for – equal oppression.
Tumblr media
I have spent my entire life resisting every point on this chart. I watched in horror and confusion as Marxist doctrine ruined my primary, secondary and tertiary education. Soviet Vygotsky stalked me in every course I studied, from gifted education to psychology, to law. The emphasis was on everybody being the same, even if that meant denying the special needs of high IQ kids. Everybody got the same result, no matter how hard they tried. Zero value was placed on creativity, individuality, or being right. There was no right – except in math and science – because ‘right’ depended on your frame of reference, your interpretation of reality. There was no one reality – oh, except in science, where eugenicist evolutionary theory was the only right, and believing in a Biblical God was so wrong. I was the only person who ever took a stand in social settings like the classroom, or work, or church. No one ever stood with me. It felt like those dreaded ‘group’ projects at school or university – I ended up doing the work of five people. And you know what, I’m tired of peoples’ apathy – and so is God.
For 50 years, I’ve watched my friends, family and peers stay perpetually drunk and stoned; worship grubby musicians whose ‘music’ grated on my nervous system; shag whoever and use abortion as birth control; marry just so they could play princess for a day – twice; dump their newborns in Soviet-style day care institutions for ‘socialisation’ and later wonder why their kids bit people; toss their marriages aside like fast food wrapping when things got a little tough; commit the same mistakes with a new batch of lives while leaving their first family feeling abandoned and suicidal; resort to plastic surgery to stay presentable for one last fling before they die; and ultimately blame a ‘non-existent’ God when everything went to shit.
And now, the entire world has gone to shit. And I will tell you who is responsible for our current situation:
Those who thought they were good people because they didn’t overtly harm others. What they didn’t realise was, their selfish actions contributed to the destruction of society.
Those who felt more passionate about basketball and soccer rather than justice.
Those who put more time, energy and money into campaigning for the rights of bilbies instead of aborted babies.
Those who preached against the evils of eating meat instead of supporting victims of child abuse.
Those who taught evolutionary theory to science students, and then embraced the idea that we were created by aliens – while mocking the concept of a Biblical Creator.
Those who ‘explored their sexuality’ (aka, became sluts), turned sex into their religion and replaced church with sex clubs (that surely transformed into pedophile kill venues after the ‘straight’ folks left for the night).
Those ‘millennial’ assholes I studied with, for whom selfishness is so normal it’s neurologically impossible for them to comprehend the concept of altruism.
Those who mistook church for a social club and tolerated the infiltration of Freemasons and Satanists.
Those morons who considered that Marxist mind-controlled imp Greta Thunberg a hero, when her social media pages were actually run by her father and a UN activist.
HISTORY ALWAYS REPEATS
The problem is that no one studies history anymore, which explains why we fail to notice history repeating itself. To illustrate, Bezmenov read the following information in KGB files:
The South Vietnamese city of Hue had been captured by the Hanoi Communists. When it was re-captured by the US Army and allied forces, only two days later, the CIA discovered to their horror that several thousand Vietnamese – teachers, priests, Buddhists, businessmen, and educated citizens – everyone who was ‘pro-American’ had been rounded up by the invaders and IN ONE NIGHT, taken out of the city limits and executed collectively. Some were shot. Others, with their hands tied by electric wire, were found with their skulls crushed-in by shovels and iron bars. ‘How could they possibly have located all of these people within only a few hours in a large city?’ – the Americans wondered. I thought I knew the answer.
Long before the invasion, there was an extensive network of Communist informers working under the guidance of the Soviet embassy in Hanoi — that is under the KGB. The Communists filed every bit of information: addresses, personal habits, political affiliations, expressed ideas, unexpressed thoughts revealed in informal and private conversations, even the names and addresses of relatives, friends, even lovers and mistresses of the future victims of ‘liberation.’
Everyone today is under similar surveillance, except now the ‘Communist-Fascist’ regime use Facebook and Twitter to identify dissidents and whistle-blowers. Those who press ‘Like’ on an anti-establishment social media post one too many times are tagged for the coming collective execution.
A TRUE PROPHET
A decade ago, Virginian John ‘Jack’ Johnson predicted exactly what is hitting America (and Australia) right now: unemployment, food shortages, inflation, riots, plus what is coming next. He wrote on his site (United States Prophecy):
We are going into a total economic crash and a great depression the likes that have never, ever come upon the earth. This is God’s justice! For every evil thing that befalls man, 90% of the time it is self-inflicted. We did not learn our lesson from World War II and the Nazi’s Third Reich, so now the Fourth Reich is coming into power right before our eyes. The Fourth beast, which is World Communism, has now come into play. This all could have been avoided had the church stood up against sorcery, witchcraft and communism! Thanks to the Clinton administration you now have over 800 FEMA Concentration camps for the Fourth Reich to imprison you, which one will you be going to? This does not even touch the tip of the iceberg for what this nation has done.
Jack saw a vision of America being invaded by Communist China and Russia and bombed with nuclear warheads:
During the same time as the vision about the state of Florida in July of 1995, God gave me a vision of a massive army coming down on America. He said, “John, I am going to allow the enemies of the United States to judge America. When America’s enemies come, they will have no mercy on the men, women and children. I saw troop movement and they appeared to be Communist Chinese and Russian troops coming into the United States. As they came in, America was no match. I saw churches and synagogues were being levelled by heavy artillery. As the churches were being blown up, I saw Jews and Christians being herded up and shot like cattle in front of their churches and homes. I saw the troops killing children and infants with their bayonets. I saw the American people tormented beyond imagination. The troops were void of emotions. Their objective is to take the nation and take it hands down. All able-bodied working people will be forced into slave labour. Some will be taken to other countries and some left here. The soldier’s main objective was to kill all Jews and Christians. As I am seeing all this horror I asked, “Lord, what is happening?” He said, “Because of the wickedness of the United States of America I am allowing her enemies to invade her lands.”
Judgement will begin with the church social clubs thanks to the ‘goat farmers’ – the pretend pastors who put on a rock concert every week instead of preaching and teaching about intercessory prayer and spiritual warfare. These goat herders rounded up the sheep flocks to slaughter. The churches and synagogues will be wiped out because that is what Americans chose. America has chosen Nazi-Communism over Biblical Christianity. Jack had a vision of the fate of these  churches. God said:
“This is all entertainment and spectacle. They do not care about me or my teachings, it is all entertainment. Ninety-nine percent of the worshiping that you see with this rock and roll band and with the golden calf is sin in my eyes!”
After they hyped the people up with their worship, I noticed that not one song pertained to the cleansing blood of Christ Jesus for the remission of sin and for healing and deliverance. The worship was for entertainment and they deleted every song that pertained to the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. The reason is because they are in gross sin and the thought of the blood of Jesus makes them cringe. Without hearing of the blood of Jesus they would not be made to think of their sin.
Then the Father said “These are nothing but dead symbols, they do not impress me at all.”
The Pastor got up and read a few announcements and told how sweet everything is and how well everything is going. He spoke about the building funds and all that the church was doing…
He said “Let me explain something to you. The goat farmers never preach on gross sin or wickedness. They never preach or talk about eternal damnation. They preach prosperity gospel and never talk about going into the Garden of Gethsemane to be tested and broken…”
As I looked through the congregation they were all clapping and cheering. They were all very wealthy and were making some kind of confession of Jesus, but deep down inside they did not know Him…
The goat farmer pastor told the people/goats that God was going to bless everybody and told them to make sure they give their weekly tithe. He said to give ten percent of their weekly income and God would bless them ten fold.
What amazed me was that the goat farmers are riding around in 60 and 70 thousand dollar cars, living in $700,000 to one million dollar homes, plus all the perks and per diems that go with it….
I looked and beheld the prophets of the church, and they were prophesying about the great by and by and how great everything was and how God was going to bless them, and how God was going to take care of them and do all these great things, and that they were all going to have great wealth and prosperity…
The goat farmer Pastor then gave a lukewarm, watered down message to the congregation… He never mentioned repentance of gross sin, sexual morality, witchcraft, sorcery, idolatry, pride, hatred, bitterness, envy, strife, lust, fornication, adultery.
In the days to come, Russian T-9 tanks are going to level every church in the United States and this will be God’s justice because the church of the west has become so satanically and demonically corrupt that God’s red hot anger is burning at them and they are too stupid to realize it.
After this I went outside and there I saw the sheep hanging on the gallows blocks. I approached the sheep and started talking to them and I asked “Why have you been strung up by your hind quarters?” “Why are you hanging upside down here?” One sheep said, “I tried to warn the Pastor that the Satanists infiltrated the church and have set up shop here. I was told it was a bunch of nonsense and he told me not to talk such foolishness again and to get out and don’t come back to this church speaking that type of nonsense.”
I talked to another sheep and he said, “I tried to warn the congregation to repent of their sins and humble themselves and bow down like a bent reed and repent of their idolatries and witchcraft. I was thrown out and told to shut up and that I was a heretic”.
I spoke to another sheep that is a prophet and asked “Why are you strung up here?” He said, “Because I kept telling the pastor that the full and complete day of darkness is coming upon the world. I told the pastor that he needed to call the whole congregation to repentance and to be broken and contrite before the Lord because the great day of darkness is coming upon the earth. He told me to shut up that they didn’t want any doomsday prophets in their church.”
I went down the line talking to the strung up sheep and heard the horror stories of how they were abused and kicked out and how some of the sheep asked for humanitarian aid and groceries. The shepherds, these goat farmers, said “We don’t have enough money so we can’t help you.” Yet it is amazing that they can drive around in a 60,000 dollar car and live in a million dollar home with all the perks and per diems and couldn’t take $150 to $200 out of his pocket to give to one of his congregational member’s so they could get some groceries.
God’s red hot anger is burning at these shepherd’s and the leaders of HIS flock. Little do they realize that the scripture will soon be fulfilled, for on that day God will separate the sheep from the goats. (Mat 25:32-33)
However, a remnant of genuine Christians will escape this fate. Jack added (during a 2009 interview):
But, the sons and daughters of God are going to have a peace because God has been preparing for these past ten years for the things that are going to come. And we’re gonna be like a lighthouse… and the people are gonna see the light and they’re gonna come to those who have the light, and those that are earmarked for salvation, those are the ones, the stragglers who will be coming in. But as far as the rest of the nation and what’s gonna come next year and down the line, it will be like Revelation 12:18, Babylon is fallen, fallen. It says it twice: fallen, fallen is Babylon the great. And as the nation is falling, the sons and daughters of God are gonna rise up with the light, they’re gonna take the kingdom… God’s gonna carry us through. He carried Noah through it, he carried Lot out of it.
Other Christians have seen similar visions of America being bombed by Russia and China, including David Wilkerson and Dimirtri Duduman (the Christian pastor who was tortured in Communist Romania). Like Jack Johnston, Duduman also saw a vision of a man who provided a similar message of hope for God’s elect:
“I am the protector of America. America’s sin has reached God. He will allow this destruction, for He can no longer stand such wickedness. God, however, still has people that worship Him with a clean heart as they do His work. He has prepared a heavenly army to save these people.”
As I looked, a great army, well-armed and dressed in white, appeared before me.
“Do you see that?” the man asked. “This army will go to battle to save My chosen ones. Then, the difference between the Godly and the ungodly will be evident.”

BABYLON’S COMPLETE DESTRUCTION
“Listen! Hear the cry of Babylon,
the sound of great destruction from the land of the Babylonians.
For the Lord is destroying Babylon.
He will silence her loud voice.
Waves of enemies pound against her;
the noise of battle rings through the city.
Destroying armies come against Babylon.
Her mighty men are captured,
and their weapons break in their hands.
For the Lord is a God who gives just punishment;
He always repays in full.
I will make her officials and wise men drunk,
along with her captains, officers, and warriors.
They will fall asleepand never wake up again!”
says the King, whose name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:
“The thick walls of Babylon will be levelled to the ground,
and her massive gates will be burned.
The builders from many lands have worked in vain,

MARTIN SAMUEL: Don’t blame the elite for the demise of Bury… their fall is their own business
There is a reason why Steve Dale was able to buy £ 1 for £ 1 last December. Nobody wanted to think of £ 1.50. Not even £ 1.25
Amid the tears and reproaches surrounding Bury & # 39; s sad downfall, this is the reality. They were no longer a financial problem for a long time. As a football club, they held their ground. They won promotion to League One with players they couldn't afford and staff they couldn't afford.
Yet the warnings were even there on that joyful day in Tranmere. The only reason why a chancer like Dale ends up at a football club is because other, more competent business people have looked at it and have run a mile.
Bury & # 39; s removal from the Premier League cannot be attributed to the elite Premier League
This is why, although the fear of Bury & # 39; s fans is completely sincere, part of the reaction to their demise is opportunistic. No, the EFL did not bother to perform the necessary checks on Dale before he bought the club for an amount that can be found at the back of most banks, but what if they had it?
Burial, in all likelihood, would have folded about six months earlier. The outrage that Dale should not have been allowed to buy Bury – and, clearly, he should not – means that this process prevented several more viable candidates from doing the same.
But that is not true.
Bury & # 39; s previous owner, Stewart Day, saw his property empire collapse in insolvency. He had already placed a crippling mortgage on Gigg Lane and his social club.
Bury is now in more trouble than before, unmistakably they were already in a difficult situation when Dale with his many empty promises and false dawn appeared on the scene. Unless he was a brilliant businessman – and his record indicates he isn't – it was a matter of time.
Doom-laden predictions say this will be the start of an avalanche of liquidations in the lower divisions, but now something strange has happened. Bolton are saved. On Wednesday, despite the best efforts of another rogue owner, Ken Anderson, the club was sold to the Football Ventures group.
This does not necessarily mean sunlit highlands ahead, but for now it has caused extinction in one. And that is still too much. But in football – like any other company – it happens. In August 1992, for example, when Maidstone United was unable to start the season and folded; or earlier that year, when Aldershot went. In 1962, Accrington Stanley resigned from the competition mid-season.
Bury fans were harassed after the death of the club association in deportation this week
Do you see something? No Premier League – unless we count the two days in use before the official liquidation of Maidstone.
The 27 years since its foundation has actually been a period of relative stability since three clubs were lost in the 30 years prior to. There has never really been a golden age of football club ownership.
Between 1923 and 1932, Stalybridge Celtic, Wigan Borough and Thames resigned from the competition for financial reasons – and when 30 years passed between Thames and Accrington Stanley, this was probably due to the closed store at the bottom of Division Four, where teams request re-election, often with success, instead of enduring summary degradation.
Without a doubt, the pyramid – it is a brilliant concept – puts more clubs at risk. Darlington, Rushden and Diamonds, Hereford United and Chester City all fell after they dropped out of the competition.
So success can be a factor, but significant financial failure is a guarantee. Clubs fold because they are poorly run, not because Manchester United paid £ 500,000 a week to Alexis Sanchez.
Dave Lewis, CEO of Tesco, earned £ 4.9 million in 2017, but that is not why your local greengrocer was closed. Supermarkets and high street shops exist in the same local space, but one is not responsible for the other.
Manchester United Pay the usual rate on their market and can afford it. If they pay Sanchez, even to play for Inter Milan, they still live within their means, as extravagant as it seems. A contract of £ 500,000 a week that you can afford is your business; a deal of £ 500 a week that you can't be a disaster.
Manchester United pays Alex Sanchez £ 500,000 a week because they can afford it so do that
It's like gambling. The £ 13.6 million that Kerry Packer reportedly lost during three days in Las Vegas in 2000 was no problem for him, but dropping £ 100 is a problem for you if you only have £ 20 in your bank account
So the easy line is to blame Bury & # 39; s crisis and that of other clubs for football companies that have two or three divisions above them operating in completely different markets, with different numbers, requirements and ambitions.
About 25 percent of Bury's income was provided by the Premier League solidarity system, so, what we now know about their precarious finances, the Premier League's money has probably made a difference for several years in the club.
In 2014, Manchester City allowed Bury to use their old Carrington practice area rent-free. Leasing such a site would cost around £ 80,000 annually, but Bury simply had to maintain the facility and pitches, which was not the case, leading to burglaries and general decay.
The water was closed off in one go because of unpaid bills. So how far should this help go?
A brain confidence of local liberal-democratic MEPs and counselors – there were three – came up with the idea of a & # 39; middle-tested Greater Manchester Football Fighting Fund & # 39; with all clubs in pay the region to help them.
Translation: The wealth of Manchester United and Manchester City will be used to support Oldham and Macclesfield. Here is another word for: interference from third parties.
We have no feeder clubs in this country for the same reason. Although Bury and Manchester City are far away, they are technically part of the same pyramid, so they can help but are not directly involved.
Fans were in tears outside the news it was confirmed that the EFL had kicked them out
At the moment that City and United will spend money on other clubs – even through a & # 39; Greater Manchester Football Fighting Fund & # 39; everyone would get their collar felt.
Thank you very much, Liberal Democrats, but don't have a country not to flee? This is all part of the problem. Folk felt wild and thought superficially. Premier League emergency funds, the pot with insurance money in the worst case. And yes, this seems like a good idea: the rich help those who have fallen in difficult times.
But what could Mansfield Town say about that, since they ended up outside League promotion to League One last season and didn't you go through the playoffs? Mansfield paid their players, got their bills, managed their finances successfully, within the limits of League Two football.
Bury not. And now, after taking the berth for a better run and a more responsible club, should Bury again receive a Premier League award to perpetuate that extravagance? And another if they do it again, or is it just the time a club can win promotion with money that it doesn't have?
Karl Evans, CEO of Bury under former owner Day, spoke about the profligate nature of the regime.
& # 39; Stewart made a statement that Bury would become a champion club in five years and that it was gone to him, & # 39; said Evans. & # 39; I would say: & # 39; This is our budget & # 39 ;, but the managers knew which of their buttons to press, although the club couldn't afford it. We had nine strikers in one phase. & # 39;
And this would subsidize a Premier League emergency fund? Bury's right to have nine strikers to support a president's ego-driven promise? And what would that say to the rest of the lower leagues? Spend what you like, what you like – we pay. There is no way to guarantee extreme financial exposure than the Premier League safety net.
The League One club is financially in a dangerous position before Steve Dale arrived
Neville Southall, a former Bury man and understandably looking for answers, said the Premier League clubs in the area could donate young players for free. And if they go to a club that is so impoverished that the water supply is cut off, would that help them?
Young players must be developed. They are placed in clubs that will facilitate their progress, where coaches embrace shared philosophies. Will that happen at Bury, are their coaches of the same spirit as Pep Guardiola, will they prepare the youngsters for life in the Premier League?
And again, where are Mansfield in this? So Bury & # 39; s reward for a reckless surrender season is to end with a fusion of Manchester United and Manchester City & # 39; s youth teams? Why don't we try that? Throw it all against the wall, see who we get? Phil Foden
It may seem cheeky to keep talking about harsh economic reality and logistical possibilities when clubs are part of the local soul. Yet nobody goes to City, United or the Premier League in search of extra soul. It's money they want. The money to support a business model that, for whatever reason, has failed.
Maidstone spent considerable and quick to get into the Football League, which meant that their land was not of sufficient level and they eventually played in Dartford. The club then spent £ 400,000 on a plot of land to build a facility without getting a building permit, which was denied. This placed an unbearable pressure on their finances.
Aldershot & # 39; s debts have been rising for years. On July 31, 1990, the club was liquidated and the official recipient sentenced them as financially insolvent with debts of £ 495,000.
In a typical false messiah, in this case a 19-year-old property developer, Spencer Trethewy, who paid £ 200,000 to save the club, but did not have the money to run it and was fired the following November. He later went to jail for unrelated fraud. By the time Aldershot collapsed in 1992, the club had commitments of £ 1.2 million
Other clubs such as Macclesfield Town have been cited as a club that could follow Bury & # 39; s downfall
Regarding Accrington Stanley, they ran into financial difficulties due to the expensive purchase of a new stand . So three clubs, three different sets of problems – but all with the common denominator of poor business management.
Ipswich Town won the League the year in which Accrington perished; Leeds won the year that Aldershot and Maidstone went. Did that matter? But somehow in 2019 it is the fault of the English football elite that the owner of Bury took a gamble with money he did not have and eventually destroyed the club.
Now we hear a lot about the domino theory: that Bury will tumble and others will follow.
Macclesfield and Morecambe are quoted; Oldham too. But Macclesfield has been financially on the brink for years under the stewardship of Amar Alkadhi, while Morecambe is still recovering from the reign of Diego Lemos, the mysterious Brazilian, who arrived from nowhere and disappeared just as quickly to Qatar.
Both clubs have invested to enter the Football League but have not been properly supported there. Morecambe had League Two from the lowest average gate last season, with Macclesfield two places above them.
It will be difficult for clubs like this at any time in the history of football. As for Oldham, 30 managers, including caretakers and different names twice, since November 1994 tell his own story. That does not happen with any semblance of strategy, nor should it need top-down financing.
The Premier League gives £ 400 million annually to the Football League and while most of it, £ 243 million, is spent on skydiving degraded clubs, £ 105 million is the solidarity share, while more than £ 50 million is entirely from community work and academies to health insurance, pensions and stadium improvements.
It can always be said that the Premier League can do more – but it remains the most radical system of its kind in Europe. And no other country wants to support at least 92 professional clubs. Presence in the third and fourth level of English football is far ahead of their equivalents in other countries.
The EFL must be fit and right people apply more strictly to stop events such as Bury
So where do you come from? Well, clearly, the EFL must test its fit and right people more rigorously, especially when it seems that Dale Bury was allowed to buy with many questions about his funds and unanswered plans.
Still, that would not be a problem if he was still the only interested party. It is worrying, however, that such events lead to more investment restrictions being required, as if, because Bury handles them badly, the same would apply to all owners.
Debbie Jevans, Chairman of EFL, said she would not be in favor of a salary limit. But why should Mansfield and others not be able to run a financially sound company and then, reasonably, try a little? Not like Bury or even Bolton, exactly the kind of good business investment that people in all sectors make when they decide that this is the right time to look up. The kind that gave us Bournemouth.
And yes, investments cannot be guaranteed. But this has always been the case in business and football. Bury, we are constantly reminded, entered the competition 125 years ago. But what happened in the 1893-94 season to facilitate this?
Northwich Victoria ended at the bottom and resigned, but Middlesbrough Ironopolis also folded. However, Aston Villa won the League that year. So maybe it was their fault.

Central American Illegal Caravan Weaponizes “Human Rights” Against the West
A caravan of Central American would-be illegal invaders is en route to try their luck in the United States, and they are weaponizing the language of “human rights” against the West.
The mostly-Honduran group calls itself Pueblo sin Fronteras, People Without Borders, and they are purported to number a good thousand strong or more. Their slogan is “Migrantes en la lucha,” or “Migrants in the fight,” and they have released a statement which perfectly demonstrates leftist weaponization of human rights in an attack on the West:
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The thing I find fascinating about this statement is the way in which it exploits the language of human rights. Look at how these Central Americans describe themselves:
“We are a group of people from different nations, religions, genders, gender expressions, and sexual orientations migrating and seeking refuge.”
You have to love how this is calculated to appeal to every weak-minded SJW and cat lady imaginable. Notice the clever use of “genders,” “gender expressions,” and of course “sexual orientations.” This could not possibly be better calibrated to the tastes of leftists, who are ever-ready to be compassionate with other people’s resources.
And refuge from what, exactly? Not to worry, we’re getting there.
“We seek to become one collective, supporting each other shoulder to shoulder and demonstrating that by uniting we can abolish borders.”
Uniting to abolish borders? Sounds suspiciously like John Lennon. Whose interests does abolishing borders serve, anyway? Is it good for the people of developed nations to abolish borders with their “developing” neighbors?
These people are the equivalent of that person who crashes the potluck empty-handed and talks about how important it is for everyone to share.
“Abolishing borders” is the kind of empty-headed and stupid platitude that appeals to hippies and other empty-headed idealists, and to illegal alien invaders seeking to take advantage of a society that is not theirs, a society they have no right to.
It is a neo-Marxist attack on the West, an attack on the integrity of nations and the right of their peoples to be protected from invaders and freeloaders of all kinds. In a saner (and less globalist) world, this would go entirely without saying.
This particular line is also a good reminder of something I have talked about before, in reference to a point made by Stefan Molyneux: the Left uses mass migration from the Third World to recruit new voters who are more favorable to their agenda of expanding government.
Is there a human right to cross the borders into a country that does not belong to one? Should countries have borders at all? Should foreigners with no legal right to be in a country have equal rights with legal immigrants? What about with native-born citizens?
In a saner world, the answers would be obvious:
No, of course illegal alien invaders should not have the right to cross into a country that does not belong to them.
No, of course illegal alien invaders do not have the right to go on welfare through their children, whom we have indulgently granted citizenship to.
No, of course illegal alien invaders do not have the right to rack up costs related to public education, medical care, and justice enforcement, in addition to the aforementioned welfare.
No, of course illegal alien invaders do not have the right to drive illegally on our roads, causing accidents which they are disproportionately likely to flee from the scene of rather than risk deportation.
This entire incident is testament to the pervasiveness of the Universalist doctrine of “equality” and ideas of “universal human rights” that the Left have weaponized against the West. Equality and human rights in this context amount to nothing more than a demand for unearned status, consideration, and resources.
The press release goes on to blather about “struggle” and “solidarity,” but when you cut through the platitudes and the buzzwords, all that is left is a towering sense of entitlement. What the neo-Marxist clap-trap boils down to is nothing more and nothing less than a naked desire to take advantage of the generosity and resources of a more civilized country.
There are two sets of demands, and they are interesting. The first set of demands is directed at the Central American countries these invaders are leaving behind. Isn’t that funny? What point do these people think they are making, exactly?
Given that they’re leaving the (something-that-rhymes-with spit-hole) countries they came from… why, exactly, do their demands matter?
What they’re saying, in effect, is “We’re leaving, but we demand that you reform your ways.”
Or could it be that they are not at all concerned with what their home countries’ governments think or will do, and are instead trying to build sympathy for their leftist project to weaponize “human rights” against the West?
Finally, if these are the conditions in Central American countries, do we really want mass migration from them? After all, if this caravan has the “right” to enter the U.S., what about the next 10,000 or 20,000? And if we import all those Central Americans, what guarantee do we have that they won’t re-create their societies here?
Their demands of U.S. and Mexico are patently stupid. They demand a right to be respected as refugees—questionable even by UN standards—a “right” that is not theirs to demand, nor in the interests of the U.S. or Mexico to grant.
They demand a right to work. No such right exists: there cannot be a right to participation someone else’s business, not unless we disregard all notions of private property.
In any case, how is it in the interests of the U.S. to grant them that right? Incidentally, Google tells me the unemployment rate is 4.1%:
That’s pretty low, all things considered, but still, why do we need to be adding another 1,000 or more people simply because they demand we do?
The second demand, which reads like something straight from Soros, is to open the borders “because we are as much citizens as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel.”
This is the perfect object lesson in the entitlement of the leftist mentality: I have a right to access your country; because feelings.
All indicators are that the group has been able to breeze through Mexico, receiving support from local communities along the way. President Trump, who issues three executive orders addressing immigration in January, has responded to the news with condemnations of Democratic “Catch & Release” laws, and calls for a “Nuclear Option” of tougher laws and no DACA deal.
As has been pointed out, these illegal alien invaders would not, of course, be eligible for DACA. The real concern, however, is that they will be able to slip into Democrat-controlled sanctuary cities and states that will provide them with refuge from being deported back to where they belong.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
With President Trump now apparently claiming that the military will be deployed to secure the border until the Wall can be built, perhaps sufficient resolve will be found to protect not only the territorial integrity of the United States, but also the rights of American citizens to not have illegal aliens foisted upon them and their communities.
People with no right to be in the West have no right to claim Western resources under the mantle of a perversion of “human rights.”

What is the Gospel About?
Lance Wallnau say many things that sound great. He was/is a big promoter of the "7 Mountain Mandate" - where Believers take over the levers of power (in 7 areas such as education, entertainment, politics, etc). Its appealing because it is a motivating "yes we can - we can win" kind of message. And who doesn't want to be all about winning, even the devil wants to win.
But lately I'm seeing that you just CAN'T BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON THE FOUNDATION OF BABYLON. You cannot make a "clean and Christianized version of Babylon." By that I mean, what if we suddenly made America this "moral majority"? Of course we want more godly education system and all that. But I'm talking about Christians running all these big institutions.. OF THIS WORLD. We're just gonna end up making a new celebrity class, only this bunch of celebrities (a Babylonian system of "luminaries"), all saying "praise Jesus" will just make it cliché.
In the same vein, what if all the Christians were the billionaires and could donate all kinds of money to every good cause! God will show us all how to make massive amounts of money so we can take things over for a change! Wouldn’t that be wonderful! But what if we have not transformed the underlying systems of banking, interest, and so forth, it is a Christian-looking-morality layered over the methodology of Babylon. “Well, isn’t that what “redeeming the time” looks like?”, one could ask. No, the Kingdom if far deeper than that as it has a whole approach to money that is something more profound that simply using the existing money methods to do nice and helpful things.
In this "7 mountain mandate" triumphalism, "victory" largely looks like packed out Christian concerts instead of Adele concerts, etc. Just a switch from secular brands to Christianized brands. BUT THE HEART FOR GOD can get lost in all of that. It is just a change of the surface morality, and the same people that JUST WENT WITH THE CULTURE AROUND THEM, and no different in this vision, they are just floating along with a much more Christian version of whatever culture is around them.
"The spiritual life cannot be made suburban! It is always frontier and we who live in it must accept and even rejoice that it remains untamed.” - Howard Macey
True Christianity has always been counter-culture. When Rome tried to co-opt Christianity into Roman Catholicism it was the biggest perversion ever, for over 2,000 of years to date - just MUDDING THE WATERS of salvation and truth, with a INSTITUTION of Jesus, and a fake pious Jesus, not the radical outlaw Jesus the New Testament actually portrays -- one so dynamically loving that any and all traditions and hallowed institutions were instantly SWEPT ASIDE for the sake of following EVERY SINGLE WORD from His Father.
"There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me EXACTLY WHAT to say and EXACTLY HOW to say it. And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak EXACTLY what the Father has told Me to say.” - Jesus in John 12:49
Jesus lived in both radical dependence and radical obedience to His Father out of the love-oneness they shared.
Religion and morality will always be the most devious enemies against true Christianity - purely following Christ as Savior and Lord. The Kingdom of God is made up of a CHILDLIKE TOTAL TRUST - a complete faith that is not against reason, but surpasses reason because it is TRULY IN LOVE with God and enraptured with the Grace Father God provided through the incarnation/life/death/resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
In the 1950's America had a very SEEMING MORAL CULTURE. But we see that it was not truly God-ANCHORED, for the social engineering of the 1960's easily swept it away and sabotaged morals and families with free love, with drugs, with the Rock revolution. We see that most of these "good" and "moral" people were must just PASSIVELY FLOATING ALONG in a much more moral climate than we have today. And when the cultural norms where manipulated to change, their life was quickly undermined to GO WITH THE FLOW.
Listen carefully: no one who simply goes with the flow shall enter the Kingdom of God. Whether that flow is Judaism. Whether that flow is conservative and full of morals. Religion does not save you. Being culturally moral does not save you. Instead a TOTAL GRASPING ONTO CHRIST FOR DEAR LIFE - as your ONLY hope - is what saves you, by transferring your sin/death/failure for Christ's righteousness/life/victory.
We grab onto Jesus "with both hands" as it were, letting go of evertrhing else - our old identity, our status and respectability in the Babylonian world systems, of our accomplishments, of our own attempts to be good, ethical or moral.
An apparent return to a moral culture COULD be the worst thing ever, for it could usher in a dangerous FOG of religiosity whereby we comfort ourselves that we are good, when ONLY CHRIST Himself is Good!  Anytime smug self-assurances sweeps in, there is supreme danger.
"Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven" -- Matthew 7:21
Saving faith takes the ACTION to believe and entrust your being into Christ's hands to save (Just as Chrsit Himself said to the father, "into YOUR hands, I commit my Spirit.) and then a life filled from then on with ACTIONS congruent with that core choice/declaration/commitment is the natural result from an INNER transformation, not a surface morality.
1 John 3:4-10 states: Everyone who practices sin, practices lawlessness as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness. But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. No one who remains in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has seen Him or known Him.
Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous. The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.
Anyone born of God REFUSES to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil can be distinguished: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
So yes, we see that a life rejecting sinful behavior flows from embracing Jesus as Lord. But you can put on a surface moral code of ethical behavior - for a short time - WITHOUT having any inner transformation! You are a poser, a moral faker -- ultimately just a hypocrite in a very real danger of hellfire. You are conforming behavior to moral codes without a HEART JOINED TO MESSIAH. Which is exactly why the Bible emphatically warns, writing to those inside the church in the city of Ephesus:
"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is IN you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" - 2 Corinthians 13:5
Christianity is always in danger of degrading into a religion - into a code of behavior that is very moral looking. Christianity is being head over heels in love with the God who loves you and saved you - the Bible is CLEAR on this! A person who is IN LOVE WITH JESUS does not have to try to be moral! Read that again!
Instead of trying to adjust external behavior to fit some codified set of rules, but lives AS jesus Himself lived - IN LOVE WITH FATHER GOD and listening to His voice with eager and whole-hearted intent to jump into obedient action, regardless of the culture, regardless of anyone else's judgement, regardless of the cost. The Kingdom of God is only filled with those that DARED to love God... BACK!
If we "take over" these mountains of politics and education and entertainment media, etc. we will find ourselves IN EXTREME DANGER of just creating another version of Babylon with Christian trappings all over it, but without LAVISH LOVE for Messiah, just the clever counterfeit of a standard of morality that we can all agree on. In such a condition, the Kingdom is lost, is obscured, even right in the apparent "triumph" or a moral culture over this nation.
Pray for God to make this DISTINCTION so clear to you. The distinction between morality and pursuing everything good - as you see and understand it - versus pursuing the INTIMATE LOVE with Jesus that the Bible and Song of Songs talks about. The Family of God is make of those that want to be in a FAMILY - a forever home where the voice of God and ways of God are AT HOME IN THEIR HEARTS, not just an enthusiastic wave of imaging that our own best efforts to be moral can approximate the Kingdom of God. Religion is having morality IN you. Christianity is having Jesus IN you. When you have Jesus, you have far MORE than morality, you have holiness and righteousness, not of your own making, but the righteousness that comes from God for it IS God:
The moral person says, "I am trying hard to live up to your law, Jesus, and my self-effort demonstrated how important it is to me as evidence of my love – my desire to be recognized as pleasing to you."
The Christian, follows Christ, and says: "I DELIGHT to do your will, God. Its' my entire reason for living! And here's why: Your law is within my HEART." (Hebrews 10:7 and Psalm 40:8)
And again: "I run (eagerly pursue, quickly obey) in the path of Your commands, God, because You have set my heart FREE!" (Psalm 119:32)
One is duty to morality but not with a heart set free by the transformation of Grace. The other is being IN LOVE with Jesus. Obedience to God that pleases God can only flow from open-hearted trust that is grateful and responsive! Anything less demonstrates that you don't really experientially KNOW God - you have missed His heart and what He has actually done for you.
Conclusion: all the cleaning up of Babylonian (worldly) systems, from education through entertainment will make a less-corrupt and more moral world, a cleaner culture. And this is an attractive Goal. It makes simply GOING WITH THE FLOW all nice and sweet on the surface. However it still FALLS SHORT of making a grace-transformed heart that more deeply changes the world through inviting other hearts to be enraptured in the loving embrace of their savior, forgetting about morality and respectability and ethics, and purely PARTAKING of Oneness with their Holy Savior.
