Y’all today is officially my one year anniversary of being on tumblr!!!! It’s crazy to think that 1 year has gone by so fast! Since joining tumblr I have made so many great friends and memories! I joined tumblr just as a way to share my thoughts, reblog cool gifs and to write fics to impress my favorite fic author WHICH I still want to do😅

Joining tumblr has helped introduce to some of the best people in the world! The 911 Lone Star fandom is such a beautiful and welcoming community of fans. This fandom welcomed me with hugs and smiles and I’m forever grateful for it!

24. favourite trope used/seen in the show

i feel like the most obvious answer is the concept of found family; 911 does this more organically and in a much more compelling manner than most shows or movies. also; the beauty of non-traditional family dynamics: the grant-nash household, the wilsons, the buckley-hans and the buckley-diazs. they're so incredibly beautiful and make the show so much more interesting.

30. how would you spend the day with your favourite character?

well, eddie is my favorite character if it wasn't obvious and idk, i'd love to do pretty much anything with him, even if it's just going on a long walk or hanging out at a park or a café. just spending time with him (or any of the mains, really) would be delightful!

4) favourite firefam scene

Ahhh there are so many in OG that I love! There are probably others, but the ones that are most top of mind right now are:

The scene in 2x03 when Bobby and Chim defy the order to evacuate in favor of trying to rescue Hen, knowing that the building could collapse at any moment. Buck and Eddie come join them, followed by everyone else, including the chief, and they work together to get her out.

The scene in 4x06 when they're all stuck in the firetruck discussing the validity of jinxes. SO many great quotes, and the end when the other station comes to help them and they're all taking pictures is hilarious.

The scene in 4x12 that starts with Bobby and Athena thinking they've found the treasure, until Chimney and Hen and Buck and Eddie all arrive, and they agree to split the pot... ending with the absolute perfection of Ravi of all people being like, "Guys, I found the treasure!" 😂

In Lone Star, my favorite is when they all band together and make audio recordings to help Mateo study for the exam. I love the part when they all ambush him in his sleep for a quick pop quiz 😂

8) OG or Lone Star?

Definitely OG. It was the first show in the franchise that I watched, so I'm much more attached to the characters and the relationships, and I think the writers do a much better job at fleshing them out and balancing the screen time. The 118 genuinely feels like a family, whereas the found family vibes at the 126 feel a little forced to me.

And that's not to say that I dislike Lone Star because I do like it a lot. I just think it's a missed opportunity that they have all these great characters, but the best ones are the most underutilized. Marjan, Paul and Mateo almost never get their own individualized storylines, and the rare times they do, they never have any bearing on the overarching plot. It's always confined to that one episode and never goes deeper than that. I think it's kind of hypocritical that the show pats itself on the back so much for having a diverse cast, but the characters of color are always at the back of the pack in terms of screen time and get so little development. Hopefully S3 is better in this regard, because I think the show has so much potential, and they're not using it to the fullest extent that they can.

Favorite and least favorite male character, Hm, that's a tough one.

I think the favorite is probably Buck, at least he is most of the time, except occasionally when my brain is like EDDIE!! or CHIM!!, but mostly it's Buck.

Least favourite... I don't really dislike anyone of the characters, so from all the main and often recurring characters this has to be Denny cause I feel like I don't know all that much about him. But it hurts me to put Denny in this spot, cause I still like him, I just like everyone else even more😔

Nothing, because I'm a tea drinker not coffee! But if it is with tea, my favourites would be Pakoras (which are indian fritters) or any kind of savoury pastry.

Tea, tea and even more tea. That's the only drink I drink. I don't even drink enough water and I don't drink alcohol.

8. OG or LS?

OG. I love the firefam and their extended families. I love the bonds and dynamics. Each person has a different relationship with others and they spend a lot of time focusing on that which I really love.

I'm not a huge fan of LS, I don't hate it but I'm not a big fan of it either. I haven't seen any of s3 but I pay attention to what people are saying about it so if something happens that really interests me I'll definitely pick it up again.

14. What got you into the show?

I kept seeing gifset on tumblr from old mutuals that had started watching the show and I wanted to know who the heck these gay firefighters were. The more I looked into it the more I fell in love with Hen and then as the show went on, I fell in love with everyone else...especially Eddie.

For LS, I started it because I had heard it was a spin-off OG and I like Rob Lowe's acting as well as Liv Tyler. I didn't really fall in love with it the way I did with OG unfortunately.

5. favourite friendship, relationship, or pair/group of people.

OG

For OG, my favourite friendship is Hen and Chimney. They compliment each other so well and each has their own strengths. You can tell they have been friends for a really long time when the show first starts and that continues as you get further into the show. They are always supporting each other and I love that about them.

My favourite relationship is Eddie and Buck. Both as a ship and just as a regular relationship. They are two guys who just bonded when they met each other. They trust each other, which is something that is hard for Eddie especially to do and from that, I knew I was going to love their relationship. As a ship I think they would be a great couple, however, if that ship never sails, I'm perfectly okay with that because the relationship these two have is so dynamic and deeply satisfying for me to watch week after week.

My favourite canon relationship is a tie between Madney and Henren (though I absolutely adore Bathena as well). I wish so much we got to see more Henren together because we simply do not get enough of it or enough of Karen imo.

I gotta go with the whole firefam for my favourite group of people. These guys are exactly what I love about a found family. They have their differences but they somehow all manage to work it out because they each know that they would die for each other and love each other.

LS

Favourite friendship for LS is definitely the trio, Paul, Marjan and Mateo. I want so much for us to get more of these three (though especially Paul, my boy doesn't get enough love). You can really tell that in the small amount of time they've known each other, they've really become close and are like siblings to each other.

Favourite relationship is definitely Grace and Judd. These two are couple goals (at least from what I've seen of them). I've also seen a lot of gifsets of Judd being really happy that he's going to have a daughter and I know they are going to be awesome parents.

For non-canon (since I did buddie for the other one lol) is NancyxMarjan. Please let it happen 911 gods.

Favourite pairing/group of people, I'm going to go with the firefam for this show as well. They all seem to just connect in a similar way to the OG firefam and I always love that kind of found family. I've seen that they are all in separate firehouses right now and I hope they all can get back to the 126 soon.
