the friend retorts with a personal jab and the size shifters eyes immediately well up and they start losing height, quick, much to their dismay.

the size shifters face flushes and angered tears roll down as they lose their physical intimidation and control of their size

the size shifter turns to run away from the encounter, holding their shirt to cover themselves as theyre now probably around 2 ft tall.

their friend realizes immediately they went too far and immediately scoops the size shrinker up like a toddler and begins profusely apologizing while the size shifter squirms aggressively before giving up and finally wrapping their small limbs around their friend like a koala~

- plays/twirls the ends of his hair

- loves listening to records and vinyls while he reads

- hates the cold

- been diagnosed with autism since he was seven

- didn’t have any close friends before he met the newsies; some acquaintances that he talked to, but never anyone he could actually talk to

- hand flaps or movements when he’s excited

- has a buncha freckles and birthmarks on his back and jack likes to play connect the dots with them

- when with the newsies, he swears a bunch (mostly “fuck” and “dumbass”)

- at the start, he was jealous of the newsies because of how confident and carefree they were, and wished he was like that

- jacks lines about how he doesn’t have a family and davey does hurt him because all he wants is to be seen as one of the newsies
