Randomly remembered all those times someone on a forum or wherever would ask, like, "if your comic was ever turned into a movie or a tv-show, what would you want it to be like", and I was always spewing something about obvious answers like Fortiche or whatever
BUT ACTUALLY. That's wrong.
The correct answer is that I would want it to be filmed as one of those film-student-project fan movies. Where no one has any money and their camera isn't stabilized and the 'sets' are all local buildings but everyone is very committed to making it work with what they have. And all the actors are friends or classmates or someone's parents and therefore look especially real and human.

Every time I remember that Missouri Moseley was slated to have Bobby’s role in the show but they changed it at the eleventh hour and came up with that white arsehole last minute to replace her I just. Ohhhh my godddddddddd. I mean Loretta Devine was busy to be fair, and I’m glad she didn’t have to waste her immense talent on this shit racist show more than she had to and like christ knows what these writers would have done with a central Black woman character long term (by which I mean we literally do know exactly what these writers would have done with a central Black woman character long term. I mean look what they already did just to Missouri in only two episodes). But in a perfect world…… god the Missourinatural universe. Missouri facing Azazel at the Devil’s Gate. Missouri alongside Cas at Stull. Missouri getting to interact with more characters—Ellen, Jo, Tamara. Missouri and RUFUS with all that entails. Missouri and CROWLEY with just the most unparalleled frenemy energy possibly ever. Missouri living well after s7 as she did in canon but getting to meet characters like Kevin, Linda, Rowena, Billie, and Eileen, and reunite with Mary. Missouri as a wheelchair user with a hundred times less ableism. A psychic in the main cast rotation. Mentions or appearances of a younger Patience well before s13 perhaps. Just.. Missouri getting to be a developed and integrated character within the larger plot. And not a woefully underutilised character written into deeply racist stereotypes who finally gets brought back after over a decade only to immediately be killed off. Like to be extremely clear this Missouri would NOT be playing cheerleader or god forbid caretaker/mother figure to a pair of grown white men in ANY capacity for what I should hope are very obvious reasons, that dynamic would have to be different compared to how it was with Bobby full stop but otherwise. I really cannot stress the sheer potential of the Missouri instead of Bobby cinematic universe enough. Missouri but she remains part of the story and has room to breathe while doing so. I would like to see it.

( * #52. we’ll never have sex ― leith ro/ss ⌁ SPOTIFY WRAPPED . . .
THE CARVED OUT MOUNTAIN SERVES AS A HOMEGROWN PALACE FOR THE DRAGONESS. in the cavernous hollow of split rock and gleaming gemstone they converge as they have many moons before. it is more subdued now not the heavy footfalls of a warrior in pursuit nor the quiet step of her trailing guard. her bed chambers are dimly lit, the summoning to its door was once a rare olive branch extended ( now, we speak frequently into the night. about expectation, about the long future ahead ) she has cooled to @wrrnth’s constant presence; once tolerated transcended into anticipation. I USED TO DRIFT THROUGH WEEKS WITHOUT SPEAKING TO A SINGLE SOUL. IT WAS ONCE THE SAME FOR YOU TOO, WAS IT NOT? they are boundary guardians, wardens of their respective realms.
what she had asked was no weightless entreaty. a reveal, a profound gesture of faith ━ faith in their union. when the wrappings fall away all is obscured in the cave's dimness. an incandescent crystal is held before them casting their features in its unearthly glow. the shard is nearly dropped as it sheds its light over their face in full brightness. they are a startling creature to the queen, wrought in contrast. the pale of their hair offset by the warmth of their skin. those eyes which housed infernos within them ━ it is the knight who is the amethyst smoldering from within. ❛ you look perfect, you look different... ❜ her hold trembles though nothing falls from her hold as her whisper echoes off the volcanic stone around them. before, they had called for her to recognize their own humanity yet they seem even less mortal when the truth of them is laid bare in front of her now.
❛ i don't wonder about your indifference. ❜ this, is what they truly wanted. a recognition of empathy. I SEE YOU, NOT THE SURFACE OF IMPASSIVITY BUT THAT CARNAL BLOSSOM UNDERNEATH.

In his Cooktown Courier's account of the next twenty-four hours, D'arcy gave himself the usual standing ovation for pluck and energy, strategic nous, and an intimate understanding of the Aboriginal people. As usual, he did not say everything:
We pushed on to find the missing man; went to where he was last heard working at the river; found only a jacket and hat saturated with blood. We pushed on on their tracks, seeing that they had carried the Chinaman with them – we could track them by the spots of blood. In half-a-mile a fearful sight came before us – a pool of blood (about two quarts) lying in a bason of the rocks, together with some entrails, were here; a long-handled shovel was lying here covered with blood (with this they had evidently cut the man up in small pieces); the rocks are fearfully stained with blood for some distance round. I suppose, by the blood, the man had been cut up half an hour previous to our arrival.
