a/n: i like pool parties a lot :) !! enjoy!

summary: you go to a pool party with your lovely boyfriend and the rest of enhypen

-he only goes because you either really want to or the members really want him to come

-I can definitely see him trying to unwind with his Nintendo switch under the umbrella until Niki pops his head out and is like hehe heeyyyy

-the members practically drag him to the pool and depending on who you are you’re either sunbathing and enjoying yourself or helping in throwing Heesung into the pool!

-lots of him going “baaaaby they’re bullying me!!” throughout the day

-constantly reapplying sunscreen to ur face that’s just the law of the land

-probably complains a lot but secretly loves it because he gets to spend time with his second family <3

-HATES getting his hair wet at first he’s one of those people that r like “icky no stop I’m gonna get out if you splash me”

-gets hella competitive if there’s a splash fight tho like damn…dawg is full on SOAKING ppl!!

-is so cute tho especially if he notices you getting uncomfy cuz all the water in ur lungs LMAO, starts yelling at everyone and is being annoying like stop splashing or everyone’s going home!!

-always looks out for you and make sure you aren’t drowning <3

jay

-he goes because he wants to see his pretty partner enjoy themself, and also take a nap on the pool side while going snooozeeee but NOO

-wakes up to jungwon and sunoo SOAKING him and he’ll be scolding them but if you’re there he gets all soft :((

-DEMANDS you wear sunscreen and reminds you every ten minutes

-he’s like an old man “ooo the water so cold…”

-I love him.

-brings the best snacks and strictly follows the rules of not swimming after eating much to your + the members’ complaints

-lowkey would much rather be at the grill preparing dinner so he can keep an eye on everyone and including you!!

-probably helps you pick a super cute swim wear in advance too :(( watch you guys match omg

-has a “kiss the cook” apron entirely for you even though everyone else teases him for being on the grill during a pool party <3

-let’s you have first pick of food :) BUT NO FOOD IN THE POOL!!! >:T

jake

-playing mermaids with you or trying to drown NiKi who knows it depends on his mood

-Jake has a black and white tail and his mermaid powers would be singing and talking to animals yes yes yes

-is somehow full of energy the entire time

-jumps into the pool and falls on someone and has a lot of screaming probably but it’s ok!

-constantly lifts you out of the water and is like “FROM THE WAVES!!” And then drops you back down while giggling with a kiss on your cheek

-loves the games where you ride on his shoulders while you try to push another person

-he likes having you close to him to the point he drags you into the pool while giggling because you were completely dry and now here you are just in his arms and in da water!

-takes so many photos of you

-probably does really cheesy pick up lines and act like you guys aren’t in a happy relationship and everyone is cringing bcuz the entire pool party is just him being whipped for you <3

sunghoon

-loud introvert Sunghoon <3

-screaming in the corner of a pool while creating little waves to splash at anyone who comes too close to the little corner he dedicated to the two of u :>

-he loves scheming little pranks with u to randomly jump on other members or just scare them a little hehe

-spends most of his time messing with other people but he also cuddles with you on a little pool float

-the type of guy to huff and puff when his hair gets wet but immediately dgaf when he gets playful

-if you decide to relax on a pool float or at the poolside he’ll be your personal bodyguard and win a 6v1 to ensure your peace

-“if any of you mess w y/n prepare to face the might of the seas”

-probably the one to whine when it’s time to get out

-swims around and kisses your cheek every time he passes by you <3

-gets blushy and shy when the members tease him for being so whipped but he can’t help it, ur his person!!

-has a designer floatie and some rubber duckies

-lounges with you on a pool float with matching sunglasses and is holding your hand

-intends to relax with you, reapplies your sunscreen for you every thirty minutes, make sure you’re well hydrated and enjoying yourself but he has the newest water gun model if his members decide to mess w him

-he is not here to play around!! if he’s tanning he will be tanning in peace and that water gun ensures it

-really good at water fights for some reason ?? I have no idea why I can just see him going absolutely crazy with water guns

-takes a bunch of photos of you because he thinks you look super cute all day!!

-loves to randomly splash members and then run away esp if you join in to assist

-nothing is funnier than seeing jay sputter because of a bunch of water sunoo splashed in his face while you two make your getaway to the other side of the pool

-hypes you up!! makes sure to show off to everyone how beautiful you are and how ur just such a stunner in your swimwear !!

-makes u feel like a boss bitch at the pool party no matter what, makes sure you enjoy yourself and have fun! :)

jungwon

-tried 9 times to calm down his members and gave up on the tenth

-does tiny little splashes to you so you don’t get super soaked and u don’t have any pain in ur lungs but when it comes to anyone else he’s summoning actual waves

-a water balloon gets thrown too far and hits a neighbor doing lawn work and so jungwon has to go apologize

-you were invited so jungwon wouldn’t scold the others too much <3 he can’t help but soften up the second he sees you

-“y/n, help me drown sunoo yeah?” w a little cute smile like he’s not scheming

-you really help him relax a lot!! he doesn’t feel like he has to be super stiff and in charge and he can just enjoy himself at a pool party

-constantly asks if you’re comfortable, too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, he wants to make sure you’re having as much fun as he does

-you two have matching towels it’s just a fact

-pulls the leader card for you if you’re losing a water fight <3

niki

-“love come here let’s splash jake!!”

-has so much fun u don’t understand

-squares up w jake during chicken fights and he ensures you win no matter the cost

-the type to whine and complain at first saying he doesn’t feel like swimming but then gets really into it

-he messes w u too but just a lot less, no randomly coming up from behind to scare you while he makes sure to push his members under the water 💀💀

-brings ice treats for you to eat in the pool when jay isn’t looking

-probably gets you matching jewelry for the pool party just so he can feel extra close to u :)

-loves being in the water with you, so much so he will pull you off of your chair and into the water

-quietly asks if you’re having fun every now and then to make sure you’re ok!! because as much as he enjoys the pool day he would enjoy it 1000x more if you felt the same way

-probably takes a ton of selfies w u by the end of the day because he thought you looked so cute :(

── ✰. [ 3:45 PM ] "YOU'RE ON MY MIND."

The backside stairwell was Sunghoon's personal meet up spot in the novel. It was a place devoid of any gossiping students and the annoying squeeks of sneakers dragging across the floors. It was Sunghoon's personal quiet space and the only reasonable explanation that he would've gone there was to either sort out his own thoughts or meet Yui.

Sunghoon had just exited the same stairwell moments ago, eyebrows knitted together, possibly frustrated by what had transpired. He always carried himself in a aloof manner, never smiling at anyone who passed by, but today his aura seemed to grow colder with every step he took. He sent everyone who passed by an annoyed glare as if they were clogging up the hallways, making it difficult for people to pass by — and yn was no exception. The boy proceeded to send her a glare as she walked past, not saying a single word.

In the novel, sunghoon never got angry at Yui, nor did he ever raise his voice at her, which lead to yn mentally crossing out the possibility of Yui being present in those stairwells.

Maybe he was just having a personal issue and needed some alone time.

Or maybe he was lecturing a younger player from their football team.

Yn had lots of ideas in mind.

But the last thing she expected to see was sora, sobbing into her own palms in the empty backside stairwell. Her back was facing towards her, but yn could clearly hear the soft sniffles and see the way her body heaved.

Sora was never known to cry in the original novel, rather, she was a villain who was the cause of other people's tears. A ruthless bully, who was entertained by the pain and agony her victims would expirence. She was someone who found it funny when people begged for help. But some how, the sniffling girl in front of yn seemed fragile, broken and most importantly, misunderstood.

Before yn could initiate any conversation with the girl, she felt her phone lightly buzzing in her inner blazer pocket. Closing the door once again without a single peak, yn left sora to her privacy as she strolled down the empty halls, looking through the texts she had received.

Her phone had been constantly going off, filled with notifications from her group chat and Ning ning stringing broken words together in her direct messages.

What had gone on that had them just key smashing every second?

Checking the group chat for context wasn't the best choice as hundreds of messages were exchanged throughout the past ten minutes. But before yn could keep scrolling, the girl heard yelling and gasps come from the main hall area. The commotion wasn't one that could go unnoticed, and yn, who had spent her weeks watching every novel moment unravel in front of her was definitely not going to miss whatever was going on near the main entrance.

Rushing down the stairs, yn wriggled through the chaos to get a better view of what was going on. People were fighting, but she couldn't quite make out the two figures were. Her first instinct was to think of Jay and Jake. It was around this time when they had a big fight in the novel revolving around Yui. However, yn had no comfirmation of this as the crowd wasn't very forgiving, and she ended up in the back of the crowd, near the brick walls.

Attempting to cure her curiousity, she looked over the shoulders of others, tiptoeing as she squinted her eyes to get a better view. "Gosh I can't see anything, who's fighting?" She spoke, still shifting from left to right, attempting to peak over the shoulders of the jam-packed crowd.

She expected a random student beside her to answer, but instead there was a pause and a light chuckle.

"So now you want to talk to me huh angel? Youre not mad anymore" The voice spoke, stealing Yn's attention instantly.

Her head snapped towards the boy who leaned on the brick wall with his arms crossed, seemingly amused by your presence instead of the fight was boring him a second ago. Yn mentally cursed at herself, rolling her eyes in frustration. There were hundereds of students. How damned could her luck have been to be standing beside none other than Lee Heeseung himself.

"I don't have time for you Heeseung," yn spoke, gluing her eyes back at the crowd who was now "booing" at whatever had just transpired. "Who's fighting?"

"Aw don't be so impatient. Don't you think it's a little unfair that you went a day completely ignoring me without giving me an explanation, and now you're talking to me as If nothing happened?" He questioned, proud of what he just said.

Before you could answer the boy, the crowd shifted slightly, leaving you a slim opening between the shoulders of the people infront of you.

It was just as you expected. Peering through the crowd, yn could clearly make out Jay, who was on top of Jake, punching him as the boy underneath attempted to retaliate.

In the novel, the same exact fight had occurred and the reasoning the novel gave its readers was that Jay was jealous of Jake's closeness with Yui. What made it worse is that Yui was the one, who stopped the fight and took Jake to the infirmary, completely ignoring Jay's bruises.

A romantic development between Jake and Yui would then flourish from the on, and the two would end up dating the day after.

However, the two boy's incoherent exchanged words right now didn't seem to be about Yui.

"Your mind must be clouded with all this chaos huh? Your eyes arre practically glued on the fight." Heeseung spoke, snapping Yn back to reality.

The girl sighed, steeping back. Yes, the fight was getting a little overwhelming, but she knew Yui would show up anytime to stop the fight. "Then what are you doing, Mr. Captain? Your teammates are practically fighting the the death, and here you are, watching it go down as if it was some entertainment reality show."

Yn's words earned her another amused chuckle from the boy who's smug grin never seemed to leave his lips. "I don't know, they'll get over it in a bit. They're always like that. And besides, I have more important things on my mind."

"And what's that?" Yn scoffed, waiting for Heeseung to make up some random bullshit.

"You." He spoke sternly, smiling dropping immediately as his eyes stared directly into hers. His tone was unwavering, without an inking of it being a joke, causing yn to jolt slightly under his cold hard gaze.

Before the girl could say anything, Heeseung's mouth curved back into his regular grin. "I'm kidding," he snickered. "But speaking of 'you,' why are you ignoring me."

Letting go the weird shift in Heeseung personality a second ago, Yn awkwardly laughed, trying to make up some random excuse that wouldn't leave room for any. suspicions.

"If you're gonna give me some half-assed excuse, I don't wanna hear it." Heeseung spoke, interfering with her thoughts once again. "Instead, just don't leave me hanging like that ever again."

Before Yn could respond, there was a high-pitched shout, coming from the left side of the hallway. Yui came, rushing down the cramped hallway, squeezing herself through the crowd, yelling for the boys to stop.

"Oh here it is, the end of the shit show where Yui drags Jake away." Yn thought, shifting her attention back to the commotion created by Jake and Jay.

A typical "stop, this is not you moment." But yn found it interesting to see it go down in real life.

She knew at the end of the day, she'd end up feeling bad for Jay who was completely ignored by Yui in the novel. When yn first read that part of the novel, she slightly blamed Yui for just leaving Jay there, saddened by jealousy and the bruises left on his face.

But to Yn's suprise, everything somehow went a different route ever since heeseung had texted her.

Because instead of grabbing Jake's hand, Yui instead grabbed Jay's instead, leaving Jake to stand alone in the crowd.

Yes he bullies you because he likes you. He makes sure that it doesn't go too far tho. But guess he didn't control himself today.His blood was boiling after seeing you so close with the schools nerd- Jake sorry Jake . You were sitting so close to him , laughing and giggling . He didn't like it one bit so when you were at your lockers- he pinned to you the wall and punched the locked beside him so hard That the locker had a dent in it. His eyes filled with rage , he then yelled "what were you doing with that nerd". His yell and the bang was too loud and the aggression he was showing made you cry. His eyes soften ever so slightly and he realised that he made you cry - which he didn't mean to.

Jay

Bullies you to show everyone That you are his property. No remorse. Punched your guy friend because he was getting close to you. And threatened you to stay away from everyone. Every one feared him and didn't dare to come close to you as well. This made you feel lonely and sad. Seeing everyone ignore you just because of jay and his bullying wasn't helping either. You couldn't handle it anymore and broke down Infront of him , he told you to stop crying and suck it up because you are his and he can do whatever he wants and you have to handle it.

Jake

Jake did bully you but never physically. He bullied you so your attention was on him . He always flirted with you aswell. When you were in the class, he threw a paper at the teacher and when the teacher asked who did it. He pointed at you. The teacher didn't let you speak and said,"y/n I didn't expect this from you, detention". Being the good student you were, this made you sad that the teacher scolded you and even gave you detention for something you didn't even do. The next day same thing happened and the teacher threatened you that your parents will be called. You were so scared and started crying in detention and when Jake saw you , his heart hurt and was filled with guilt.

Sunghoon

he never leaves you alone. He bullies you , mentally and physically. He steals your books, phone - then insults you and your looks. It does hurt but you can't do anything about it. One day you were walking and he tripped you and because you were in the halls near the lockers , you banged your head hard on it . Blood started to come out and it hurt so baad. You couldn't control the tears that were flowing out. After seeing this sunghoon quickly came to you , pick you and take you to the infirmary. You almost passed out . He didn't meant it to happen , he was just messing around but seeing the blood and hearing your cries made him feel guilty.

Sunoo

This guy is so sassy and manipulative. He would manipulate everyone into thinking that you aren't good so no one talks to you . You were confused to why everyone was giving you dirty looks and were also ignoring you. When you got to know about the rumors sunoo spread, you were so and at him so you went up to him when his friends left and yelled at him to tell you the reason to why he spread those rumors. When he saw you , he smiled at you and came near you - to say you were scared was an understatement. He was smiling creepily and was caressing your cheeks, he said " ohh love , I did that so no one comes near you cuz no one is allowed to be near you but me. You only need me." That made you cry angry tears.

Jungwon

He was smart, yes he was but if you are here to do his homework why should he. He made you do every single homework and project he got doesn't matter if you have too much work load. He does this so he could be with you in the library all day until you finish. He gets a decent amount of time to stare at you and take in your every feature and habit.

But one day when he came to give you his homework , you started crying because the work load and stress was alot and it was practically eating your brain out. He told you to be calm and take a break , but you still gotta do his work so he can stare at you.

Niki

He bullied you to so you and everyone knows that you are only his and no one can come near you but him. So when he saw a guy sitting with you , all he could see was red. He straight up went to you, took your wrist harshly and took you to an empty classroom. He threw you on the empty bench and locked the door. He was staring at you so intensely that it mad you shiver. He slowly came up to you saying in a dangerously low voice "you like disobeying me, don't you". You stuttered but told him that you were just helping the guy with his work. Niki chuckled and said "did I ask what you were doing with that loser" , "all I know is that you are supposed to talk to me and me only" "you are mine y/n"he yelled and started to aggressively shake your shoulders. That made you so scared and tears started rolling down your eyes because his grip was firm and it was hurting. He pulled his arm back and said " don't go near him again or he won't be alive"

Entering the cafeteria again almost elicits a foreign feeling within you. You hadn’t stepped foot into the room these past few weeks in order to avoid a certain couple and the self-consciousness of sitting all by yourself. You even take your sweet time strolling to the cafeteria today, because you were growing paranoid of if you’d be the first one there or if the chaotic crowd would make you look like a fool trying to navigate to the proper table.

Once you see the group you were searching for by the back corner, you beeline straight towards them.

“Is Jay coming?” you overhear Jake ask.

“Eh, he said he had something to do or some other bullshit,” Sunghoon replies with a shrug.

“Y/n!” Sunoo acknowledges you first, happily clapping his hands together and giving you a precious eye smile. You wave shyly in response.

Sunghoon tightly presses his lips together to hide a laugh as he watches Riki’s head shoot up from his food at the realization you were here. Sunghoon could’ve mistaken him for a lost puppy that had just found its owner.

“Hey, cutie,” Jake greets you with a side hug once you take the seat in between him and Riki.

You sit quietly as you listen to the others open the conversation with how their morning was or what classes they were dying to complain about. You resist the urge to look behind you at the table where Jungwon and Kyeong would be. The thought alone was capable enough to damper your mood. Missing them was torture.

“You didn’t bring lunch?” Riki asks, which results in you shaking your head, “and you’re not buying from the cafeteria either?”

You shake your head a second time, furrowing your eyebrows when Riki only smiles giddily at your answers.

“I had a feeling this would happen.” He reaches into the backpack by his side and pulls out a pale blue lunchbox. “Here, this one’s for you.”

You can only stare at it as Riki sets the lunchbox in front of you, peeling back the lid to reveal an aroma of home-cooked foods.

“Are you gonna digest it with your eyes?” Sunghoon jokes.

“Riki’s mom always makes the best dishes,” Jake adds. “I should crash those Nishimura family dinners more often.”

“Earth to Y/n!” Sunoo waves a hand in your face from across the table. He slumps back into his seat once he realizes you’re not reacting. “I think she’s gone.”

“Eat up.” Riki gently nudges you. “It’s all yours.”

“No one has ever done something like this for me before.” You slowly grab the set of chopsticks from the side of the box, toying with them until they properly rest in your grasp.

“Really?” Sunoo says inquisitively. “Your mom has never packed you a lunchbox?”

Your body freezes a second too long, and everyone at the table looks up from their lunch once the fraction of silence washes over.

“I live with my aunt, and she’s usually too busy for these kinds of things,” you say with a sad smile curling your lips.

“I’m sorry for bringing it up,” Sunoo apologizes, ashamedly diverting his eyes away from you.

“It’s okay,” you brush it off genuinely, “you didn’t know. It’s no big deal to me either, just the way things have always been.”

You finally come around to taking a bite from the lunchbox, nonchalantly munching down the Japanese-styled meal. Maybe it was the presentation or the delectable taste or the kind gesture associated with it, but nonetheless, this felt like the home you never had.

“It's really good." You let out a small smile, tilting your head to face Riki. “Thank you.”

“No problem,” his voice shyly whispers.

“So Y/n,” Jake tries to uplift the atmosphere, forming a smirk, “any embarrassing stories you wanna know about Riki?”

“Jake!” Riki shrieks, his stare shooting lasers into Jake’s soul.

“Do tell.” You laugh, a mischievous glint shimmering in your eyes.

“Ok, so Riki is on the dance team,” Jake begins his story, “and last year they had a performance that included a dance solo. He’s considered the prodigy there, so when he didn’t get the part as expected, he complained so much that the rest of the team almost threatened to unanimously kick him off. He had to fake cry and become an errand boy for a month to stay.”

“He’s such a prankster too!” Sunghoon chimes in. “One time he tried to scare Jay by making it seem like his house was haunted and ended up accidentally getting gutted in the stomach. He sulked over how Jay wouldn’t treat him to ice cream for two weeks.”

“He’s the baby of the group,” Sunoo proclaims, his fluffy bangs swishing with his animated head movements, “restlessly evil yet still has his Shinee posters with hand-drawn hearts hung all over his room.”

“Yah, Kim Sunoo!” Riki abruptly stands from his seat, chasing after the poor boy in circles around the lunch table. Sunoo is eventually caught, and Riki practically strangles him until Jake tears the two apart.

Riki has never failed to display his more mature and comforting side when it comes to you, but this was different. You saw through the veil of his coy personality and found yourself enjoying this one all the more. You didn’t have to agonizingly watch Riki reform the chipped edges of your broken heart that you wished you could fix yourself. He was so energetic and vibrant and playful; it almost fulfilled you just by watching him and listening to everyone’s stories that told you all the little details you failed to learn about him before.

Riki returns to his seat out of breath. You silently laugh at the upset expression resting on his face as he glares at the three other boys. He still seems to be unsatisfied even though Sunoo’s uniform is no longer prim and proper, his hair tousled in all sorts of directions.

While Sunghoon and Jake are in their side conversation and Sunoo is busy fixing his tie, Riki turns to you.

“Before I forget...” He reaches into his jacket pocket to pull out a dangly metal keychain with the pendant of a silver four-leaf clover. It's accompanied by shiny, decorative beads lining the chain. “My sisters forced me to window shop with them not too long ago, and I came across this. Remember when we exchanged numbers on the bus ride home from the food stalls? I kept thinking about what you said when I asked why you put a four-leaf clover by my name. You said us coming across each other that night was like fate or some kind of luck, so I thought of you when I saw it. I hope you like it.”

“You didn’t have to do that,” you stammer in shock. “I feel like ever since I’ve met you, I’ve been in debt to your kindness.”

“Not true,” Riki instantly denies and hooks the clip of the chain onto your bag. “You gave me bungeoppang the other day. Plus, I noticed that your other keychain was getting a bit rusty. I thought that it’d be nice to have something new.”

“You’re not wrong,” you say, stretching an arm to retrieve the keychain Jungwon once gifted you at the bottom of your bag. You slowly rotate it front to back between your fingertips. “I’ve been meaning to get rid of this one, but I can’t bring myself to throw it away.”

“How about this?” Riki hovers his hand over the keychain, waiting for a nod of confirmation from you before taking it and storing it in the front pocket of his backpack. “I’ll keep it safe for you. If you ever want it back, just let me know.”

By the soft-spoken tone of his voice, you know he understands the context of this singular keychain and where it comes from. It’s scary how transparent you feel around him, like the wall you have a habit of building is just glass. You’ve known deep down that you were no stranger to him when he found you at the top of that staircase. You tell yourself that it’s best he keeps the keychain, and most importantly, that you’ll never ask for it back.

As lunch comes to an end and you bid your goodbyes to the group, you catch Jay’s figure when you exit the cafeteria doors. Hesitating at first, you tap your foot anxiously until you decide to follow him.

“Jay!” you yell as you rush to weave through the sea of students.

Your face twists into a grimace once it’s obvious that he’s beginning to walk faster, but you impulsively transition into a sprint. You manage to loop a hand around the crease of his elbow to get his attention, pulling him aside to a less crowded space.

“Why the hell have you been randomly avoiding me?” you demand. “It’s about Heeseung, right? What’s going on with him?”

“Woah, slow down.” Jay put his hands on your shoulders to distance you a bit further. “And what I know about Heeseung is none of my business to tell. I know you’re concerned but wait until he comes to you.”

“Screw that,” you say carelessly. “If Heeseung’s taught me anything, it’s that waiting sucks when all you want is to be there for someone who’s trying to deal with everything alone. Don’t tell me, but at least help me out.”

Heeseung was always willing to be there for you, and now, you’d let him. However, this was about proving to him that you could do the same.

Jay reads your unwavering face. He thinks about it twice and then again once over, observing that you haven’t moved an inch in waiting for his answer.

“Meet me at the gate after school,” he says with a sigh of defeat. “I’ll take you to visit Heeseung.”

Right when you and Jay enter the parking lot, you immediately remember how prestigious of a school it was. You both approach the front gates together as you search for Heeseung among the other students filing out.

“Where is he?” you ask Jay after waiting longer than anticipated. “Did we miss him already?”

“I don’t have a good feeling about this.” Jay straightens his posture, visibly growing tenser. “Let’s look around.”

He wasn’t in the hallways, the classrooms, every single corner you managed to check. Even though you still had no idea what was actually going on, you impatiently became more panicked as the search lead essentially nowhere. Jay suggests trying to look at the back of the school, to which you had no reason to argue besides the fact that your strides were turning into tired drags of your feet. You were seconds away from throwing in the towel and letting Jay drive you home.

And there you see him, hands holding his weight in the pocket of dead grass, bruises darkening on his cheeks. Towering over him is another boy with fresh blood on his fist that drips onto the edges of his expensive uniform sleeves.

“What the hell.” Your jaw slackens in disbelief. “Heeseung!”

You run to his weak body, sliding your bare knees into the ground as you check his condition. Your breathing quickens as he winces with every movement.

“Holy shit, Hee.” Jay joins you, adjusting Heeseung to sit as comfortably as he could in that state. Trusting that Jay will continue aiding him, you stand to face the boy simply watching the three of you.

“Are you fucking crazy?” you scream angrily. “What’s your problem?”

“Y/n, don’t,” Heeseung warns you. “It’s not worth it.”

“Do you even know who I am?” the boy laughs cockily, stepping closer to intimidate you. “You and your little boyfriends should scram before you get yourselves too deep into trouble.”

“I don’t give a fuck about who you are.” You grab the boy by his collar, your grip tightening as hard as it could as you slammed your other hand flat on his shoulder to turn and trap him against the side of the building. “Don’t make me warn you twice. Just do me a solid and leave, so I don’t ever have to look at your sorry self a second time.”

“You don’t scare me,” he says teasingly, his smirk irritating you. “Why don’t you just be a doll and let me go?”

Your vision turns red.

He tries to push you off of him but is surprised by your relentless hold, leaving no inch between him and the wall.

“Don’t fucking test me,” you grit through your teeth before aiming a punch right at his nose.

There’s also another hard blow to his jaw in the mix of your rage. You grab a handful of his blazer and force him off the wall, kicking at his leg to make him stumble forward.

“Bitch,” is all he spits out before scoffing and running away.

Your eyes narrow as you watch his figure disappear towards the direction of the parking lot, checking to see that he’s left for sure.

“Y/n,” you hear Heeseung mumble feebly.

“Save your energy,” your reply is gruff. You offer Heeseung a hand as stinging tears cloud your eyes. “Let’s just get you out of here.”

Never in your life have you felt so strongly about protecting someone else, your cheeks puddled with the weight of all those intense emotions. Heeseung takes your hand as Jay assists him in standing upright, and you hug him so carefully like he’s a sheet of paper.

“Don’t leave,” Heeseung whispers into your ear. “Don’t shut me out, don’t think you’re a burden. Just don’t leave me, please.”

“I won’t run away again,” you cry into the sandpaper texture of his uniform shirt. “I’m sorry, Hee. I’m so fucking sorry.”

Your sniffles become increasingly louder as it hits you—what it’s like to be the arms that someone else falls to pieces in.

NOONA — 43: virgin with a capital P (+written 0.4k)

repetitive heavy bangs came from the front door, one quickly following after the last without a second in between, "stop trying to break the door, what is wrong with yo-"

yns sentence quickly got interrupted when a figure decided to tackle her into a hug the second he saw the door creak open, and although she had never been too fond of physical touch she found her arms wrapping tight around the blonde boy.

"oh my god, you’re actually here," peeking his head out to look at her, "you’re actually back."

"well yeah. was meant to be a surprise until i was some other girl touching up on you," yn rolled her eyes playfully trying to push sunghoon off her — if he even allowed her. she felt him internally panicking trying to pull her closer.

"no! you know its not like it come on," he sulked, giving her his best puppy eyes. "i was trying to get away but she was being pushy and you know i only care about you."

petting him a few times on the head, "yeah, yeah i know. cant really blame her though, blonde really suits you." running her hand through the strands of his newly dyed hair, watching the blonde move with each stroke of her hands.

"you like it?" sunghoon asked stupidly, who in their right mind would not like it. not yn. he looked at her as if his question even garnered a different response.

"id be blind not you, you look good."

"better than jake?"

"you little shit," she giggled, "can we get away from the front door my leg is cramping." yn tried to walk back into the living room, a task she found hard to do with a specific blonde boy who showed no signs of letting her go anytime soon. "you gonna let me go or what?"

all he did was shake his head, his intentions were clear from the start pulling a fake groan from yn, "okay well, i’ve been up for almost twenty hours i’m taking a nap."

"ohh, cuddling. didn’t know you liked me like that noona," he winked, finding her annoyance amusing.

"okay. leave me then and let me sleep alone," she pushed him away jokingly, laying on the sofa ready to sleep.

"NO! you cant sleep without me," he whined, laying beside her stiff.

already feeling sunghoons previous awkwardness around her start to return"you can hold me you know. i don’t mind." she whispered, but soon she felt arms wrapping around her waist and a head nuzzling into her chest, "now sleep, i’m tired."
