so i’ve never been much of a fanfic person (i was actually kinda judgy abt it for a very long time im sorry) but on a whim today i read a couple of wholesome rankane ones just cuz they’re so 🤭

NOW HERES THE THING. it gets traumatic out of NOWHERE. like at first it’s just shenanigans and the usual cutesy embarrassing kinda-misunderstanding concept that the original series does so well and it’s so cute!! . but then you get to one chapter and boom. trauma. i was still hooked and read every chapter available

HOWEVER.

the problem is this…. it’s a repost. and the last update? 2014 .

I AM DYING. IF ANYONE KNOWS THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OR IF THEY FINISHED IT LMK

i still recommend people read it cuz it’s actually a super interesting take on the aftermath of the ending and the consequences of a lot of actions

and kasumi is a badass in it so hfhfhffh

so yea if anyone knows anything lmk cuz im just gonna come up with my own ending in my head to save my mental state after it

Rumiko Takahashi has a new artbook coming out this December! "RUMIKO TAKAHASHI COLORS 1978 -2023" will be 400 pages, with tons of color art, including copies of original drawings from her classics like Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, and of course her more modern works like RINNE. There will also be lots of newly written comments by Takahashi herself (in Japanese) about her art and process. If you're outside of Japan and want a copy, the artbook is currently available to pre-order on CDJapan, and you can use my affiliate link here if you'd like to order & support the podcast! It's due to come out mid-December 2023.

Very irritating that the blog @everythingranma has me blocked. I've been a fan of Ranma 1/2 since that mid- to late-90s. I think at one point I followed them for R.5 content once a while back, I have memory of doing so, but they decided to block me sometime between then and now.

I am genuinely confused when people do this and it's a huge trigger for me, I always feel like I'm 12 again and found out that another 'friend' decided to join the crowd of bullies and I'd be alone all over again.

love her! she’s not my favorite obviously but i think she’s cool and i like that she has an osakan accent in the original japanese dub :)
