I miss the days when all I could think about was the Renegade trilogy, nothing mattered to me the most than them, I miss how obsessed I was with them, I miss all the feelings they put me through, I miss the excitement and emotion I feel because of them, it's been more than a year and a half since I read them and I can't find anything that will ever compare to them. I'm still not over them, and the hope that we might get a spin-off keeps me from crying myself to sleep.

I wish I could go back to that time and never return.

I'm kind of obsessed with the idea that

Since Nova and Magpie seem to have had similar childhood's, both being very rough and in proverty, they can sort of have a mutual understanding that they don't really talk about much.

And I think this could lead Nova, despite being the one who is older and will be an adult much sooner before Magpie, to just. Be okay with some things this CHILD might do and think is normal. When somethings may really really NOT be normal.

I heavily interpret both of them as self sufficient since a young age due to all their trauma and upbringings. So if Nova sees Maggie brooding she'd be more likely to go "haha mood" then "Do you want to talk about it? I'm vry worried for u my dearest bby sister"

Not to say she wouldn't ever have moments of the latter. She doesn't exactly WANT her sister to suffer the way she has. I think she would offer a comfort that would be completely optional and quiet. They don't have to talk about it. They both know.

Plus, being rich/well off from the renegades would be a new experience for both of them lol

Y'know once they get over the drama Maggie started when she stole her bracelet. Once they reach a sibling truce. Nova's problems with Maggie being a thief in the renegades I think would be washed away from

Breaking down her concepts of good and bad after the renegades trilogy. She most definitely will have to do this to make a better solution than just Renegades or Anarchist

Anyway, if Maggie disappears, all Nova would require is an occasional sign/text/call/picture that confirms yes she is alive. Maybe a location. And it's all good. However Adrian might be like "Dude! You've been missing for 2 weeks what the heck!?!?" meanwhile Maggie climbs back into the apartment at 1 am and Nova's like "cool btw wanna grab some food" and Maggie's irregular sleep schedule is never talked about ever.

I don't think Nova would feel any real urgency to "fix" behaviors Maggie learned. She'd show concerns for some things but she also relates so much that, she doesn't want to force Maggie to do anything. Nova wouldn't really be able to recognize "oh yeah we should both get our asses to the therapists office" without Adrian and friends being like "Dudes."

Which contributes to the importance of Maggie getting tutoring for education she's missed out on being downplayed.

At the same time, I can imagine this would be really important to Maggie since it's basically going at her pace and she still gets comfort that Nova definitely would be open to giving. It reassures them both that they have each other. And Maggie doesn't ever have to think she's alone anymore. Nova gets it. And Nova's her sister. SHE is Nova's sister.

does anyone ever ask the age requirement for joining the Renegades??? Like,,, Team Sketch is generally SIXTEEN.... Maggie is TEN and she's being sent to clean up crime scenes. AND, as the "wise" Genissa Clark said, they never signed any contracts or legal files! These kids could join without any of their family knowing!! Like damn

God I hope Thunderbird was also advocating for an 18+ age requirement. That had to be breaking every labor law known to man.

Okay, after rereading Supernova.. I'm astonished I didn't notice this before. But I pray others have connected Magpie to Evie. I'm going to cry of joy, heartache, and a multitude of other emotions that I could only describe in that book cause I dont get surprised like this often. I'm good at guessing and observing! I knew that Nova and Magpie had way more going on behind the scowl matches, but honestly, I did not see the possibility of Evie being ALIVE! I had it cross my mind.. But still..

Shit. Now I'm eager to hear the story continue. Thanks Marissa Meyer lol

Nova: When she’s listening with her friends she’ll keep her composure but later she’ll scream the lyrics all night with Adrian.

Adrian: He’ll be tearing up and screaming stuff like “GO TAYLOR” and “YES YOU TELL HIM”.

Ruby: She’ll be throwing knives at a picture of Jake Gyllenhaal and sobbing.

SPOILERS for Renegades!

Still here? Ok, so I’m still reading book 1 and I’ve got a cool idea so hear me out: 

Renegade Nova. Not undercover but a real Renegade who believes in the Renegades as deeply as Adrian. (Also Nova and Adrian would be siblings, but let me explain) 

So everything happens in the prologue like it does up until the point when Nova is hiding in the closet and wishing for the renegades to come and save her and her sister. And what if they DID come? 

Someone opens the closet door and scared, she reaches out with her power to put the person to sleep. But it’s Blacklight (or another original renegade) who falls to the floor. Cap Chromium looks in the closet, sees her and gets her out, and little Nova is still in tears because she saw her parents die. The Captain explained that they got there too late to save her parents but they captured the assassin and saved Nova and Evie. Nova is still awed by the renegades and knew in her heart they were the good guys. After all, didn’t they save her and her sister just in time?

Captain Chromium and the other renegades lead Nova and Evie back to wherever they’re staying because they have no idea what to do with two little kids, one of which is a prodigy, so they sort of keep them. Nova and Evie end up staying with them for a while, and even hang out with Lady Indomitable’s son, Adrian (of course). 

But Nova can’t sleep. When she closes her eyes she hears the sound of gunshots (bang bang) and sees her parents fall to the floor, dead. Eventually the original renegades notice that she doesn’t need sleep, if she can ever sleep (hey, watching your parents and not your sister die is still pretty traumatic). Evie may or may not also be a prodigy (perhaps plague-ish powers? Heat powers? just spitballing here). Nova still has her confident, gadgety personality, but she’s on the renegades’ side now.

When Lady Indomitable dies, Adrian stays with Nova, Evie, Captain Chromium and the Dread Warden (like cannon, just add Nova and Evie). Then the Battle for Gatlon happens and they win, like cannon. Now the renegades have to rebuild a city, and decide to create the renegade Council. 

About a year passes and Captain Chromium and the Dread Warden adopt Adrian officially, but they also adopt Nova and Evie as well. They’d be siblings and grow up together. When they become renegades, Adrian becomes sketch and Nova thinks of an alias. Adrian suggests Nightmare, but Nova doesn’t like it. A lightbulb goes off in her head. She’s not gonna be Nightmare, she’ll be Daydream. Afterall, what’s a better name for a sleep-based superhero? 

With just a moment, just one event, Nova’s allegiences could have been changed completely. She’d be a full believer in the renegades, and would scoff at even the mere idea of being an Anarchist. Strange, huh?

i have an idea for a fanfic that takes place after the Supernova, but I have no idea if it's actually a good idea. AU where maybe, just maybee, the Supernova might've given a little girl named Riley some powers over life and death that she uses for her own personal gain. She may also have a vendetta against the Renegades, similar to Maggie...... and there's quite a few dead characters in the Renegades trilogy that would be able to make an appearance

is this like,,, interesting? I feel like it would be a neat/fun story to explore some characters undealt with trauma but I wanna know if it sounds dumb or not.
