ATTENTION PEOPLE OF TUMBLR! If you support Palestine and want to help its people escape Gaza, read this post.

I've recently been trying to get more involved with Operation Olive Branch, an organization that amplifies the voices of Palestinian families trying to leave the country and gives people resources to go help them. I'm now going to start a series where every Saturday, I post information on a new family on the list, and I can give you all the resources you might need to help.

This is installment #2. Again, I went through a random number generator to see which family I could cover next, and I landed on line 254.

In this line, you are helping to evacuate 6 people. Mohamed Mahmoud, a 37 year old, and his children: Sana, who is 11; Eman, who is 10; Monir, who is 7; Jameel, who is 5; and Odai, who is 2.

For those confused, here's a brief summary of hemophilia, according to Google:

Hemophilia can be fatal or debilitating if not treated, so we need to get this family out of Gaza so that Mohamed and Sana can get properly treated. Their ultimate goal is €60,000, but they only have €12,078, which is about 20.13% of their goal. It seems like a huge amount has been donated, but it is still so far from hitting the goal!

To get the family to safety, we need to boost this post and make sure everyone hears their story. You should take on one of these three roles (or two or three, that's fine with me)

1. Amplify

Reblogs, likes, comments to spread the post around

Reads the full post to give the original poster and the family a moment of their time

Tries to get more people involved

Spreads the message everywhere

2. Post

Makes their own video/post on the subject

Makes sure the message spreads like wildfire

Gives resources so that people can help

Uses every technique they can so that people can see the post

3. Fund

Sends money to the family

Checks the spreadsheet and sends money to more families in need, not just the one posted

Also donates to other Palestinian charities, as well as those that benefit places like Congo and Sudan

Makes sure the family has enough funding to get out of their situation

While amplifying is the easiest job to take, if you are able to donate, please donate, even if it's $5. Everything matters. You can donate the bare minimum or the bare maximum. It will all go a long way.

Since I already made an Og!ChoiCale au thats pure angst, time to make an angst + crack + slight fluff one :-)

So, during the 20 year war that was going on in TBOAH, Og!Cale and Og!Choi Han ended up meeting again at one point. And when they did meet, they decided to reconcile and apologise to each other.

After that, they started to spend more time with each other. And the more they did, the more Choi Han realised that he’s starting to fall for the (former) trash.

He didn’t say anything, of course, because he’s afraid that It’d break the small thread that they call friendship. So as a result, he never did confess.

That was a mistake.

Cale ended up getting killed by White Star. Choi Han makes sure to kill White Star permanently after. Even after White Star’s death, Choi Han still falls into despair. Because the last person who understood him is gone, and he didn’t even get to confess.

But because one of Cale’s last wish is to not only rebuilt Henituse Territory, but to also have Choi Han survive until the end, he decided to live. He decided to live, not for himself, but for the one whom could’ve been his lover.

Since Choi Han’s lifespan is equivalent to a dragon’s, he decided to slowly rebuilt the Henituse territory for Cale. After like, 50 years or so, Henituse territory is now called Henituse City.

Choi Han lived there until his death. When he did die, he expected to go to the afterlife, not wake up as a baby. Not only that, when he woke up, he found himself back into his own modern world.

Needless to say, Choi Han was very upset. He’s tired. He’s been living for over 1000 years without one of his loved ones. All he wants is to rest. Is that too much to ask?

Anyways, he was upset and depressed the first 10 years into his new life, but after some therapy and love from his family, he got back up on his feet and started to get better.

Not too mention, one of his older siblings is going to have a kid, which means he’s gonna be an uncle! :D

So he made sure to fix himself and wanted to become the best uncle. Thats when Choi Jung Soo is born. Because Choi Han and CJS has a 10 year age gap, instead of referring to each other as uncle and nephew, they always instead introduce themselves as cousins instead.

So, after Choi Han graduates, he moved into the city, opened a dojo and lived there for more than 5 years. The house he bought is big enough for 3 or 4 people to live in. It’s just incase CJS wants to stay there.

So one day, CJS, who’s 17 btw, said that one of his friends, whom he calls his dongsaeng/whom is also his crush, is gonna come over to do a school project.

According to CJS, the one who’ll be dropping the kid to his house is the kid’s older cousin, who’s apparently, around Choi Han’s age. Choi Han is not ready to meet whomever this person is.

Because based on CJS’s description, the older cousin owns a whole ass corporate, is a CEO at a young age, and is insanely rich. Like, the kind of rich where you can buy a country and your bank account will say that you still have unlimited money.

He wasn’t even more ready when he found out that this particular cousin is a woman, because Choi Han has been afraid of woman even during his past life. He does not want to deal with an insanely rich woman who could (and might) possibly have his ass accused by some fake news that will destroy his family. (even though that sounds highly unlikely)

However, CJS calls the woman noonim. Which means whoever she is, she probably won’t do anything for the sake of his family.

So, later that afternoon, Choi Han patiently waits for his nephew’s friend/crush/dongsaeng, while CJS goes and cleans his room for the first time. While he was waiting, he’s also preparing himself mentally. (for what? he does not know, but he feels like he has too, for some reason)

When he heard the doorbell ringing, he went to the door, slightly ignoring CJS’s “That must be her!”

He opens the door and goes to the gate, only to stare at a young, Korean girl with black hair and familiar reddish-brown eyes. And the first thing that comes to his mind is “Cale?”

But that was broken when the girl spoke; ”Umm, are you Choi Jung Soo’s uncle?”

Choi Han could tell that this isn’t Cale. Cale isn’t shy, he’s someone who would outright call for the waiter the moment he got the wrong food. So with an inward sigh, he told the young girl that yes, he is CJS’s uncle.

Apparently, the girl’s name is Kim Rok Soo. KRS then told him that she needs to go back to the car to tell her cousin that this is the house. Choi Han, of course, let’s her.

He opens the house gate for a bit so that he can go outside. The car that KRS came in is expensive, and Choi Han swears that he wouldn’t be able to bought that kind of car even if he dedicates himself to working 24/7 for then next 50 years.

So as he was spacing out, he heard KRS saying “If you really wanna know, the you should come out yourself.”

And Choi Han swears that at that very moment, his heart stopped. A familiar shade of red hair stepped out of the drivers seat. For a moment, he wonders if its him, but that guy is a guy. Is it possible to reincarnate as a woman?

The red-head had sunglasses on, (the expensive ones, his mind notes) and he wishes he could see her eye colour, just to confirm something. The red-head walks over to him before leaning backwards towards her car, while KRS mutters something under her breath and taking out a bag from the cars trunk.

“So, are you really Jung Soo’s uncle?” The red-head asks him with a raised eyebrow.

God, even the voice is the same. The only difference is that it sounded way more feminine. He swallowed some saliva before answering her question.

“Yes, yes I am.” He’s nervous, but why is he nervous?

“Hmm…You look way too young to be his uncle though?”

Before he can answer that question, a voice from behind the gate(CJS’s voice, his mind notes) calls out.

“Cale-noonim, why didn’t you tell me when you were gonna arrive. I would’ve stand outside if I knew.”

“You punk, you standing outside when I’m just about to arrive is exactly the reason why I didn’t text you before hand.”

Cale? Cale. Cale is her name. Her name is Cale. Could it really be? He doesn’t want to hope, but…

“By the way, I thought you said you live with your uncle? Isn’t this guy your cousin?” As the red-head Cale said so, she pushed up her sunglasses, revealing the same (oh god its the same hewantstocrytoyellisittrulyhim?) reddish-brown eyes that he oh-so loved years ago.

“Oh, Hannie is my uncle. He looks young, doesn’t he noonim?” CJS said with a small laugh.

“Indeed he does.” A familiar smirk, one that he cane to love, was featured on Cale.

The red-head hold out her hand towards him and said;

“Nice to meet you. Sorry for the late introduction, wasn’t really that sure on whether you’re this Punk’s uncle or not. You know, looking all young, and all,” She said while tilting her head a bit to CJS, who’s already escorting KRS into the house. “I’m Cale, Cale Henituse. What’s yours?”

“…Choi Han.”

Cale smiled.

“Nice to meet you, Choi Han.”

A new Christmas (pt.2)

If you haven't; go check out the first part :D it will provide full context :))

"It will be fine, Come on, Trust me," Dream held George's other hand, "If you don't want to talk to my family, you have me and patches! And I think drista," Dream tried to help George and it was kind of working, "Ok, how do I act?" "How you always are," "Like an idiot?" "Nooo," They laughed at each other, "Should we go in?" Dream offered, stroking George's hand with his thumb, "yeah- ok..." George swallowed his breath.

Dream went first while George said in the car for a couple seconds to wake up Patches and mentally prepare himself.

"Hi, Clay!" Dream's mom said joyfully, bringing him in for a hug and a kiss on the cheek, "Hi," Dream smiled,

Dream's mom looked around Dream as if she was trying to find something, or in this case, someone, "Where is George? Is he here?" She said, slightly worried George might hadn't shown up,

"He's here, but in the car," Dream said, as they both looked back at the car in unison, "oh, why isn't he coming out to come to say hi?" "Let him take his time. He was nervous on the way here," Dream admitted,

"Why be nervous? I'm practically his mother-in-law?!" She rolled her eyes "What the hell?" Dream stared at his mom in disbelief, "It's true, isn't it?" She looked at Dream for reassurance, "What, no- well, technically- no. We're just dating, we aren't like that," Dream frantically explained, super flushed,

"ok... tell him to come out, it's just us for now, you are the first ones here! Everyone is coming later in the day," She explained, she smiled, looking back at Georges whose eyes were glued on patches.

"She'll wake up on her own, which we'll make us spend more time in here than with Dreams fami-" Dream opened the door scaring both George and patches, who was now wake, "DREAM! YOU SCARED US!" George put his hand on his heart, "Oops," Dream laughed at startled George,

"Come on, let's go inside," Dream said, putting his hand ontop of Georges, "I'm scared..." "My mom said we're the first ones here, so it'll be us 3 and then the 4!" Dream said reassuringly,

"How many people are coming?" George asked, to prepare himself, "I don't know, but its not too many, how many people came to your family Christmas?" "Like 10 people," "Thats a lot! You'll be fine," "But I knew all of them," "George, stop being scared! My mom is super excited to meet you!" "how do you know?" "First off; its my mom. Second, she said something super embarrassing!" "What did she say," George asked, looking at the front door,

"She called you her son-in-law-" They both burst into laughter, "What the hell?!" George said laughing, "THAT'S WHAT I SAID!" Dream said laughing harder, "Wait, we're married?" George asked jokingly, "Yeah, I did give you that card," Dream was referring to the "my wife" card he gave George on his Christmas stream, "Oh my god! We're married!" George said jokingly, while giggling, "Come idiot," Dream kissed George's cheek.

They slowly but surely got out of the car and to the front door, "Dream, this is ins-" George was cut off by the door opening, greeted by Dream's mom who was seemingly waiting for George, "Hi George,' Dreams mom smiled, brightly, hugging George, "Hi-Hello," George looked at Dream for something, but he just smiled, "How are you, sweetie," She said, backing up to see George fully, "I'm fine, how are you?" "I'm okay," She was very excited to see George, "I've been waiting so long to meet you! I've heard so much about you," "Oh! Thank you?" "Come in, Clay, go get Grace," (Dristas name NOT HER REAL NAME!! JUST A MADE-UP ONE!!!) "Where is dad?" Dream asked going upstairs, "he's getting some last minute things," Dreams mom said sitting George down in the living room,

"Do you want anything to eat George? Are you thirsty?" Dreams mom said from the kitchen, "No, I am fine," George smiled, nervously, "Oh, ok, George," Dreams mom sat next down next to him, "Tell me about you, how was it coming to the U.S for the first time?"

"I've been here once before," George corrected her, "oh! Tell me about that," She smiled, "I came here when I was a kid for a vacation," "Did you like it?" "I- I don't remember..." He said slightly disappointed, "Don't worry if you don't remember," "Ok-"

They sat in silence for a couple seconds before she said something again, "Clay loves talking about you," She giggled, making him blush, "He brings you up in everything, it makes me so happy to see you 2 so happy," She smiled at the thought, "Are you guys planning something else?" Dreams mom was suggesting something that made George super flushed, "Uhm- we haven't talked about anything too deep," "Oh, I'd think you have since you did text me 2 years ago- I think- saying you 2 dating," "You remember that?" George blushed at the memory of him texting dreams mom that embarrassing message,

Firstlife chapter 12

Chapter 12

“Your Firstlife sets the stage for your Second.” —Troika

Full offence, but Archer literally told Clay that you will be forgiven for anything in Troika. So you should totally sign with them, go party, murder some people, etc etc… And then die.

This book has yet to tell us exactly what the point of living a long firstlife is. Life sounds goddamned miserable. Like you’re the civilians caught up in another country’s war.

And then it sounds like you’re going to be nothing but cannon fodder once you die.

Maybe Ten should roll the dice and hope that there’s something better after she dies in secondlife.

When I ask to speak with the owner, she gives me a tsk-tsk.

“You wanting a piece of him? Don’t try to deny it. Girls just can’t seem to keep their hands off his goods and services.”

Why is this author so goddamned obsessed with sex? I’m not sure that we’ve had a single chapter where a character didn’t say something along these lines, even in passing.

“I saw his body. And I used his severed hand to open the gate and free you.”

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you can 100% survive without a hand.

“How old are you? Really?”

“I’m seventeen.” His chest puffs up with pride. “A mature seventeen.”

Why the hell is nobody in this book over 20? And the older ones are the bad guys.

I open the door to find the boy—probably three or four—clutching a stuffed teddy bear to his chest.

“You can’t tell I’m a Shell?”

[...]

“Weren’t you listening, blondie? Or is the air in your head clogging your ears? I’m not on duty, so I’m not signing no one. All I expect from you is a hand job.”

Maybe the author thought that she was being funny and edgy with the constant sex “jokes”. But the fact that she had the angel in the body of a 3 or 4 year old is honestly so icky.

I hope that the author got put on a watchlist for this scene.

Get to the airport, get to the States.

If you could run anywhere, why the fuck are you going to go to USA?

We HART You! Humans Against Realm Turmoil!

Don’t Believe the Lies! Realms Are Simply a Way to Control You!

I want to hear more from these HART people. They’re the only ones with seemingly any ounce of logic and free thinking.

“Hawaii,” I say, making a split-second decision. I’ll be far from LA—and my parents—but close to water. “

I t ’ s s e t t l e d t h e n , ” t h e p i l o t s a y s. “ G o a h e a d a n d b o a r d a n d w e ’ l l t a k e o ff.” [I don’t know why the hell it’s like that, and I am NOT fixing it]

Chapter 12 summary: Sloan and Ten go to the B&B Archer told them about, where they hand over the “coin”, and get put into a room. That night, Ten has a dream about her mentally ill auntie. About how she’d always talk about Ten in the past tense, and usually stuff like “I’m sorry you died.” When Ten was 13, her father completely cut his sister out from their lives, and refused to talk about her anymore. When she wakes up, she finds that Killian visited in the middle of the night. He’d left her two bracelets that have garroting wire in them.

The girls eat breakfast and put on new clothes that were given to them. As they’re discussing what their next move should be, a little boy shows up at their room. It’s actually the hotel owner, a rogue Troikan angel who was put on probation after selling angelic drugs to humans. He says that he owed Archer a favour, and he’s not doing it for either of them.

As they’re being driven to the airport, they discuss their future plans. Sloan’s backstory is that her granny wanted to force her not only into signing with Myriad, but also in marrying a man twice her age. Like Ten, she wants to make it to 18 so that she can be freed of her guardian forcing her to be tortured until she gives in. Then, she plans to torch her family’s estate. There are also signs along the highway advertising both Troika, Myriad, but also the anti-realm group, HART.

The airport is super sketchy, but they realise they have no choice. Killian is there, and Ten wastes no time in calling him out on his shit. That he’s the reason why Clay died. Killian is like “Who cares? So another human died.” Although it’s hard to say if he doesn’t give a shit about humans in general, or specifically those who’ve signed with Troika.

Ten goes over to the pilot, who she thinks is unsigned. He asks her where they’re going, and she says Hawaii.

what are your thoughts on padma x blaise or romilda x cormac?? i always thought they could have interesting chemistry and i was wondering what your thoughts on them would be?

Ooh! :D Tysm for asking~ I LOVE headcanon questions, esp ship thoughts/imagines! I've not written either pairing, tho these are charries I enjoy (and ones I know I truly love in three instances—I need to write Cormac more before I upgrade my "like" to "love"! XD). I've written Romilda and Padma the most of these four and therefore have some solid characterizations for them (Romilda in fic that's mainly posted now, Padma in some forthcoming fic to be posted this spring—so please look forward to new eagle content in addition to old eagle content soon to be crossposted to tumblr and to AO3!), but I DO HAVE SOME IDEAS FOR THESE SHIPS~ (So sorry for the looong reply—I had fun writing about both pairs! :D and tumblr’s read-more function on asks is...wonky at best these days...let’s hope this works...)

PadmaBlaise:

firstly, may I just say—this is a good-looking couple~ (I mean, big love for the Patil twins in general, but also ngl Louis Cordice cast as Blaise in the movies was A+ imo, *lol* is my artist bias showing yet i kinda wanna draw them now)

that aside, eagle–snake ships intrigue me?? esp with someone quiet and shrewd like Blaise outside of Pansy, I find I enjoy him with Ravenclaws...

Padma always struck me as the twin who was too nice and reluctant to say "no"—after all, she did let Parvati rope her into going to the Yule Ball with Ron, which did not turn out to be very fun at all; but she did end up giving up on Ron and dancing with a Durmstrang student that evening in order to save her night, so I see that as the start of her developing her own determinedness (not to mention joining the D.A. in bk5 afterwards)

And then we have Blaise it's the quiet ones you gotta watch *LOL*

He's such an observer rather than an active participant, but he comes across as someone who would make worthwhile conversation, a personality type that got on Draco's nerves...hmm, I wonder if the Sorting Hat ever considered Blaise for Ravenclaw House for a second...? :O

also an idea: Pansy knows/knew the Patils outside of school, so it's possible that Blaise might've, too, or might later on the closer Blaise finds himself pulled into Draco & Pansy's orbit

I think I could see PadmaBlaise as a will-they-won't-they deal, a classmates-turned-mates trope where they're in each other's orbit at school mainly during study halls and Padma can appreciate his more studious interests (my main hc is that he has interests in more advanced and difficult subjects and eventually becomes Professor of Ancient Runes, tbqh) and Blaise can enjoy some company without a need for conversation altho if they do converse it'll hold his interest without being Dark (Draco & his cronies) or needlessly invasive or suggestive (Pansy & the girls...mainly Pansy, but sometimes Daph pries, too); this also works bc I hc the eagles as being close but not exactly realizing/appreciating their closeness during their school days, so Padma has her friends, certainly, in her House, but Blaise would be a nice change of pace for her—likewise with Blaise, bc he sort of considers Pansy and perhaps Daphne his friends, and Draco's entertaining and Theodore's kind of a git sometimes, but Blaise in general struggles with the concept of friendship or relationships altogether possibly a side-effect of his mum's reputation for having all those late husbands

outside of school, living not super far from each other and having families running in some of the same social circles (bc now that I've thought about this, I RLY LIKE THAT IDEA <3), I still think they'd carry on their friendship; Pansy might tease Blaise a bit about it, but the snakes don't rly bother him too much about it bc the Patils aren't a bad family (the only issue in recent yrs is when the twins join the D.A.); I think their friendship is more of a concern for Padma's family, esp bc Parvati would detach herself from her best mate's hip long enough at least to alert their parents of the company Blaise keeps, & that coupled with the well-known rumors about Mrs. Zabini just make everyone wary about how close Padma gets to Blaise

but honestly it's such a lark bc there's not an evil bone in Blaise's body—Padma's had enough deep, meaningful conversations with him on walks around their respective neighborhoods and even a few times around the castle grounds to know that, even if he doesn't say it, the way Draco talks scares him (and scares Pansy, too, Blaise lets slip, and a pang of nostalgia for a childhood friend she & her twin once had makes her heart ache), & Blaise lowers his guard enough times on their walks that eventually Padma's fingers find their way to his & sometimes they halfheartedly hold hands

Padma's determination to keep their bond alive & well struggles during 6th & 7th yrs, esp with how crazy things get and the danger the reconstituted D.A. put themselves in—they don't talk about it, but it's a silent argument they have, that he doesn't want her to join again & fight back, that she can't sit idly by while her sister and friends get hurt & tortured & nearly killed on a daily basis—any of them could be next, and change must start somewhere, so it can start with her (and the D.A., but Blaise isn't arguing with them, he's arguing with Padma and why won't she bloody listen!)

it turns into a cold war between them, & when the final battle occurs, they're in completely different parts of the castle, Padma actively fighting and thinking Blaise remains twiddling his thumbs in the dungeons with the rest of the Slytherins...

...in actuality, her words reached him, sank in; that night, Blaise calms Pansy down after her "hand Harry over!" hysterics and then is one of the few Slytherins to do smthg that night (Astoria actively fights, her sister later learns, but Daphne & Blaise actively protect their fellow snakes, esp the defenseless underclassmen)

Padma & Blaise don't exactly "make up" following the war, until they discover they've both signed up for an 8th yr, and that yr gives them the time to share and mend; when Blaise tells Padma how the war went on his end, she isn't surprised but is pleased—he's surprised she's so calm about his actions, but they've gotten to know each other so well & she knew how badly the other side's deeds bothered him...she honestly believed it was only a matter of time until he fought back ("After all, when talking, you're so quick with your commentative snickers and so good with the comebacks—so fighting back makes sense to me")

other random hcs: the Patils are well-known for their matching plaits, but Blaise's favorite activity at the end of the day is gently combing his fingers thru Padma's hair, unraveling the plait and just winding tendrils around his fingers; I will forever keep Padma working at the Ministry, and they arrive at Ministry events looking like a certified Power Couple™ decked out in the finest fashions (likewise at faculty events at Hogwarts bc Professor Zabini is A Thing <3); Blaise learned from his mother how not to do romance, so he's actually quite the romantic—one of his favorite pastimes is owling Padma out of the blue with a random love letter (better yet, she gets to decode it bc it's in some old runic alphabet, but she never worries about not recalling things off the top of her head, bc Blaise has heaps of references at home that she can ransack at the end of her workday); since they spend so much time in the U.K. apart (him in Scotland teaching, her in London at the Ministry), they take a prolonged vacation every summer, a getaway usually just the two of them (sometimes the other Patils like to crash...but Blaise finds he doesn't mind it too much, the large family's growing on him, *LOL*)

does Mrs. Zabini ever approve of Padma? well, after practicing a good "fuck if I care" stare with Parvati's and Lavender's help, Padma's able to convey calmly to her that she knows she doesn't need Mrs. Zabini's approval bc Blaise's opinion is what matters and that actually amuses Blaise's mum immensely so Padma unknowingly wins her over in the end wut

as for the Patils, with Padma knowing Blaise is a decent man, it doesn't take long for Parvati to discover that he's rather a softie, so the family comes around to him and the idea of him being Padma's better half; as for actually dealing with Parvati, once the secret's out, it doesn't take long for it to get out that he was smthg of a quiet hero in the war, too (confirmed thru the grapevine by Daphne), and once Parvati knows, Lavender knows, and once Lav knows, the world knows; so all this time, Professor Zabini's students were intimidated by this tall, dark, handsome teacher of Ancient Runes who could silence the room with a heavy stare—now his students know he's a kind Slytherin and it gives them the warm&fuzzies and it makes him more approachable?? some of the older students even try to pal around with him *LOL*

^honestly Blaise's problem is the opposite of Neville's: students initially think Neville looks like a kind man who might be a pushover and then they learn HOLY SHIT HE SLAYED NAGINI WITH GRYFFINDOR'S SWORD??? and then poor Blaise had students who almost feared him and now they just wanna hug him XDDD i'm also here for Blaise&Neville friendship btw

so yeah, PadmaBlaise life could be rly fun and interesting and I think they could bring out some rly great qualities in each other! :DDD <3

Romilda strikes me as the type of witch who knows what she wants and when she wants it—was she definitely after Harry only for his name and fame? *shrugs* But the potential for an older Romilda to have matured a little, to remember being scared in the final battle and take her skills more seriously couples well with her determined decision-making, imo

as with Cormac, the poor bloke is forever going to be a looks-nab-him-first type, i.e., he'd probably spy Romy at some Quidditch match with her mates & just be gobsmacked the bushy hair makes him falter for a second & think he has a type, given Hermione...but Romilda's freckles are cute, too <3

Cormac's also stubborn & hasn't lost his touch in dogging a pretty witch's heels, but Romilda takes time to develop any attraction to him—sure, he's a Quidditch player, but old habits die hard, & Cormac hasn't quite made a name for himself, so she's not yet sure about giving him the time of day (meanwhile, her friends are half entertained & half torn that they're not lucky enough to be in her shoes bc they all agree he's handsome)

and it's prolly thru her mates that he manages to snag a date with her, the simplest of things, just a cuppa, no commitment, bc her friends are all curious as hell

turns out that Cormac's thoughts towards romance have never rly changed since he was a teenager, but he was misread by the Golden Trio et al back in the day: of course he wants to be a hero in the Quidditch world, if not the top one...but he's not looking for a trophy wife to dangle off his arm, he just wants to find a charming woman like his firecracker mother momma's boy <3 and have the large family his parents had planned on having but couldn't (Cormac's large ego developed bc he was an only child who was terribly spoiled)

for Romilda, it's not a bad match—Cormac's a gentleman, but her desire for a man with a title or fame to his name comes from being raised by a single mother, just the two of them sort of scraping by hi okay i have a lot more on romilda's fam in general anYWHO, so Cormac essentially telling her he's ready to give her any kind of life she wants is like a dream come true—almost unheard of, post-war, unless you're a part of the Potter–Weasley clan

knowing there's a distinct possibility they could work in that sense, Romy gives him a worthwhile shot & they date properly, her coming to learn far more about Quidditch than she ever thought possible, him coming to appreciate magic that her mother passed down to her (potions dissolved in teas soothe his tired muscles after practice better than anything~! ...altho Romilda's fingers digging into his arms is nice, too)

for two sort of flamboyant personalities who might have the potential to be hotheads, I think, there's a kind of ease between them, where they sort of click into place, Romilda who wants a comfortable life and Cormac who wants to give her that life

now for some silliness: at Quidditch matches & press events, Cormac is OVER THE TOP in using his magic to point out where his better half is in the crowd, & Romy preens at this (not to mention it's always a beautiful bit of magic); wherever Romy works (my main hc is her as Auror), she every now and then occasionally gets a double-take by someone who remembers exactly why her name was known back in their school days, but she always puts the rumors to rest at the next work event but dragging Cormac in front of that person so she can say smthg along the lines of "Oh, Harry? Yeah, no, I upgraded!" XD <3; Romy finds calm in patching up Cormac's Quidditch things by hand when on break at work (he's so embarrassed when he finds out—turns out, yes, there are things that embarrass even Cormac McLaggen, *lol*, and having his guards repaired or, Merlin forbid, his socks darned in public is a hair too far, Miss Vane!); as their relationship grows more serious (and Cormac becomes a more seasoned player to the point where he's a first-stringer), Cormac does come to believe in good-luck charms: his one and only is a lock of Romy's curly hair knotted around the handle of his broom (and it must work, bc the one day it frays and flies off is the day Cormac breaks a damn leg)

they're surprisingly not as volatile as I thought when I first read this ask, and I'm so here for this cuteness???? >:D
