-> a/n: I like this type of drama, and it’s sweet to see that people from my country love my works :) so hope you enjoy this one!

-> after his wife died and jubelian began fearing him, you stood up and become a parental figure when he couldn’t. From afar, he watched you act like a mother to his daughter when he was to busy with his work and the many times he caught you giving sweets before dinner, those moments were his favorite to watch from afar.

-> jubelian grown into a gorgeous and respectful woman due to your influence in her life, Regis admit that with your shame, but he feels jealous how closer you and jubelian are closer to each other. Even with him act cold to protect her and interact not as much he desired to, he wishes to know why his daughter often question you if you are going to leave the dukedom, why would you leave? Isn’t this enough for you?

-> that day might be coming, he knows, you are a young lady with a proper future and don’t need to stay in the dukedom, however he is too selfish to let you go away from this place. Regis knows if that ever happens, the air of the manor will become depressing as it was when his wife died.

-> he can’t let that happen, regis have enough power to hold you in his territory and to make your suitors leaves you in a blink of eyes. Poor you can’t even leave your job now, since your parents no longer support you and you don’t know why! Could be that move away without letting you know? Or they just kicked you out of the family? You will never know.

-> struck inside the dukedom as Jubelian babysitter is interested, she is already a young lady who knows to take of herself, so there isn’t much what to do… if you don’t count those times where her father approaches you during your day.

-> began with little talks with commonly topics such as the weather, lasts trends in fashion, Jubelian’s love, general conversations that you shared with your boss, nothing that you considers to be special, unlike him, regis believes that he is getting closer to met you with every words you two exchange.

-> leading to this small talks into full conversation that takes hours to finish and he slowly learn more about you, your life and how you were abandoned by your parents ( while pretending that he wasn’t the main reason to do so). the tears dropping from your eyes were quickly cleaned by him, gaining a sweet smile from yours, another reason to be in love with you.

-> that way, he slowly made you fall in love with him. his little touches, sweet words and gifts convince you to stay at his side as the new duchess and official mother of Jubelian, can’t you really believe it? You now have the love of your life at your side with a perfect daughter like her.

-> how happy he is knowing that you are never leaving him side.

The smell of blood was still fresh in your mind as you picked up your dress in your hands as to make sure it doesn't get drenched in the wet mud of the huge garden of the Ashet estate as the sound of dainty violin ringing behind you, as you remember a few weeks ago when the incident happened...

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, DAD?!" You screamed at the way your dear friend was covered in blood and was screaming at you being dragged away, as you see your father and your sister looking at the girl with disgust as your elder sister's fiancee stabs and tortured her.

As you continued to sob and wail in the chains, still upset and traumatised with the way your dear friend and your only support was killed. They didn't want to do this, but they couldn't just let your friend take you away from them, especially since they're the only ones who are allowed to get close to you. But hearing you cry made their hearts hurt and even though Maxmillion wasn't related to you, he was your dear friend and was a dear brother figure for you, no matter what you say. After they had enough of you crying, Jubelian immediately opened her fan and covered her mouth with it, before walking towards you and bending down to life you face towards her.

As she gently stroked your face and hair while your was all sticky with your tears, she told you in a soft voice, "Y/N, we're only doing this for your good. They were trying to take you away from us, making you think that our love for you is unhealthy, now you made all of us upset....Especially Maxmillion…Is this is how you repay your dear brother for his love? Hm?" As Jubelian's voice rang and taunted you in your head, you realize that no matter what you do, you won't be away from them...

As you took a deep breathe in, upon hearing of two pairs of footsteps get closer to you, you tried calming down, before looking up your older sister, your father and your brother figure, before sniffling up and mumbling a tiny sorry enough for them to hear, upon hearing you apologize, your sister immediately stood up and went to open your chains.

As your chains opened and released you, you immediately fell into Maxmillion's arms who hugged you tightly, as your father kissed your forehead and cheeks before also hugging you. As Jubelian also joined in the hug, you buried your face into Max's shirt and realized his shirt reeked of blood and metal...

That smell is still engraved in your nose, as the monsoon rain was starting to pour a bit heavily now and drops of water were falling on you as well, before you felt a strong arms pull you back into a hug, your face immediately pushed into the person's top, you realized from the smell that it was Maxmillion as he pulled you up and off of your feet, making you squeal from the tightness of his hug and the immediate jump of him pulling you up, as you heard your elder sister and your father giggle at you trying to escape him...As you looked at your sister, in a huge lavender and white wedding dress, her hair in a beautiful hairdo with ornaments decorating her, making her look like a pretty doll, before you eyes moved to your father, who was wearing a one-of-a-type suit, decorated with jewels, and then finally Maxmillion who was dressed perfectly like a groom, yet his outfit looked quite similar to yours. It was him who asked of you to wear a matching outfit with him on his wedding day and who were you to say no to him? Afterall, he is your brother and making upset would make your family disappointed in you...

A few weeks after one of Regis’ visits, your stomach felt horrible.

You decided it was just a stomach bug, maybe your corset had been too tight—of course, until you’re spending an evening at the Floyen duchy with Regis and Amelia when you suddenly passed out.

When you woke up, you were in a guest bed and you could hear Regis and Amelia arguing outside of the door. The doctor by your side told you that you were pregnant—which made you want to pass out again.

Even though you were in the bed, you could clearly hear regis and Amelia’s argument— about how she felt as if he was the father of your child, and Regis calmly denying.

He knew he was the father. Why is he denying it? Is he not going to provide for your baby?

You bit your nail in anticipation. After a few minutes of thinking, you slowly got out of bed, thinking of a plausible lie to ease Amelia—and the nobles. You werent a commoner, so things like this could ruin you.

A lady all in red sat elegantly upon her ‘throne’, she would one day rule a kingdom full of wealth and prosperity. Alongside her sat a man in all black, her fiancé and future emperor, Max, sparing not a single glance at her. He was far too embarrassed to face her, while she read a letter he had sent her out loud.

“My dearest, Y/n,” she read, shifting herself slightly and fixating her posture, she continued, his face flushing red at her tone that intended to mock him.

“You make my days better by simply gracing me with your presence,” She let out a slow laugh, as she smoothed the paper out.

“You give me a reason to look forward to living, you are my will to continue living in this god forsaken world and I will never let you leave me,” She read, smirking

“Whatever would you do if I left you, Max?” She asked, cupping his face in her hands, her fingernails digging into the flesh of his skin, crimson liquid dropped from his chin as her grip tightened.

“Max,” She ordered, “It's incredibly rude to disregard the orders of a lady,” She shifted her gaze and stared directly into his blood red eyes.

“Won’t you answer my question?” She taunted

“I would destroy everything on sight,” He spoke, low and dangerous, there was a tone to his voice that was unsettling, even for someone like Y/n. Ignoring the shivers she felt, she waved her fan at him, as a manner of dismissing him.

He shot up and towered over Y/n who remained seated, instead of walking away, he walked towards her and placed his head around her arms and gently placed her hand on his cheek, pressing his hand on top of hers.

“Say.. Max, have you heard of Ian’s disappearance?” Y/n asked abruptly as she waved the letter over his face

“This letter is one of my favorites,” She laughed as she traced the words of the letter with her fingers

“Would you like to know why?” She forced her hand off his face, only to be met with the face of the annoyed man.

“Oh goodness, you're this exasperated simply because I moved my arm?” She smirked, as she placed her hand on his face again only for her to take it off.

Her arm was seized by Max, he gripped onto her wrist tightly, showing no intent of letting go, ever.

He forced her wrist to his lips and kissed, looking down at her he asked

“And why would this letter be your favorite?” Max asked her, clearly amused

“The ink is quite lovely, mind I ask you where you obtained it from?” She looked up at him, her eyes glinting with evil

“My minister brou-”

“Don’t you lie to me, I know where you got this, I’m not naive,” She whispered slowly

“What are you implying?” Max furrowed his eyebrows

“I have asked first, it's quite rude to answer an inquiry by another, is it not?” She forced her wrist out of his hand and placed a gloved hand under her chin.

“I have killed Ian,” Max answered truthfully

“Was it truly that hard to tell me truth?” Y/n hummed

“I’m proud of you Max, you have finally embraced your true nature,” Y/n spoke lazily

Proud…? She was proud of him? That felt good, he would kill any man who would dare approach her with lust in their eyes.

She would be proud of him then.
