GODDD now that im obsessed with httyd again im so salty all the time over thw MAN they had SUCH a good thing going. the first movie was so solid that even its spinoff material was pretty good and then the second movie smashed it out of the park by doing the unthinkable Genuinely Productive And Enjoyable Sequel move. like i rewatch both of them CONSTANTLYYY i will be actively In Class and have them in the background. but now every time i ramble abt what exactly i love in them i feel the admittedly spiteful need to append it with “sucks the third movie ruined it tho” like... was it so hard to let the cool but inapplicable line from the books go, Dean? was it Really that hard to write an actual story instead of choosing an ending and making everything fit around it?
