Nepenthe is a mun aged 20+ server that allows characters across varying fictional media (drawn, animated, live action, literary, etc).

The setting is the afterlife, set in a city split into two halves. The North District, which is fashioned after a larger city and allows the usage of powers and abilities, and the South District, which is fashioned after a smaller, cozier town, and bans all powers. There is a subway that runs continuously between them.

☾ Muns must be at least 20 years old. Characters must be at least 18 years old.

☆ Semi-literate to literate.

Verses! Dion

Dion gazed a the statue of the mighty dragon, the one he'd been told all his childhood he would be the weapon. The tool. The vessel of. Brown eyes so distant and tired he gazed at the dragon. Kneeling before the being, he bowed his head the drops of water from the sacred pool dripping.. "I am a tool of Bahamut" The deep, booming voice of the dragon king answered. "Yes.." Eyes lost. He was a Tool "I am going to do what you tell me in order to achieve your goals" Bahamut growled pleased, the sound of its bladed wings spreading rang in his ears. "Yes, and why shall you obey me?" Dion closed his eyes, picturing the boy he had met so long ago. The one sealed away in a crystal, in the heart of the Phoenix. "...because you will make it possible for me to meet that person." " Yes...Now accept my brand, and do my will Dion of the blood Lesage. Uphold the contract made."

Dion had lost the will to fight long ago, his father had beaten into him Screamed it. Hammered it. He was nothing but a tool for the war god. But Dion would do it all...because the one person he kept meeting in dreams, that smiled and made him happy. For that person...He would endure until his life was snuffed out. I'm nothing but a broken vessel of Bahamut, but after my focus is complete...Then I'll offer myself to him, that ghost I keep seeing, and surrender in his loving embrace

Fiction based on reality. This is the haunted, and darkened world of Verses XIII. Dion is Bahamut's plan B, and he will use him to push Noctis towards madness and darkness. Dion's family worshipped the war god, Bahamut and Sylvestre offered his first born to the dragon for power and influence. To make their name great. Dion grew up very sheltered, isolated, and now infected with scourge at the dragons insistence.

His brief moments of happiness happened when he met young Joshua, a boy his age who after disappearing visited him in dreams. Dreams being his one solace away from Sylvestre. The other source of happiness was a young boy named Terence, same age as he but when he started becoming too close Sylvestre sent the other boy away.

Alone. With only Bahamut whispering in his ear, and his sire telling him he must obey the dragon for it is his destiny to serve him. Dion is a broken man, who longs for warmth but never finds it. He must fulfill the mission given to him...

Kill the Insomnian crime lord, underworld king...Regis Lucis Caelum, and set Noctis on the path to accept the fate decreed by Bahamut...

only then can he die and finally...be set free.
