starlo is an awesome cowboy dad !! he (dad) and his posse (family) adopts clover (child) in game and teaches them how to be a cowboy. he even let's them be deputy for like 10 and says he's proud of clover ❤️❤️ spoilers but one notable thing is when starlo suspects that ceroba might hurt clover, starlo chases after, and has one of his posse take clover to a safer location. i don't know if this is good enough too but when having a duel with clover in genocide route he doesn't shoot them with a real bullet because he didn't have the heart to hurt them. anyways i love star dad xoxo

solazar is an adoptive father of two sons of another species and took them in as babies, raised them to become strong and is a role model for them. his species is typically a survival focused one that doesn't associate with humanlike habits so he actively opposed his species to care for these two kids. he also has a yummy design

I can't dance

Notes: fluff to angst, angst is brief, but it is definitely there. I as so excited to write this out, I might visit this idea again in the future to make it better, hehe.

Characters: Agoti, Aldryx, Tabi and Solazar

Prompt: Tabi can't dance, or can he?

Warnings: a bit of angst. Basically fluff with a sad twist

Watching Tabi on the sofa, his stoic expression always plastered on his face. The most joyous of tunes was playing on the radio, breaking the silence between Aldryx, Agoti and Tabi. Though the goat man was grumbling about how he didn’t really like these awful, sickeningly cheerful tunes, it was fun for him to watch the two brothers nod their heads to the beat. 

He felt quite at peace, even though the music wasn’t his taste at all, but he couldn’t complain. He quite enjoyed it, watching the carefree grins of the two brothers, he cherished it, so much (though mind you, this was before Agoti’s- *ahem*). The beat, ever so lively, with the most uplifting lyrics, no wonder it was the top hit worldwide. 

Sipping quietly on his cup of ginger tea, quite the contrary to the volume of the music, he gazed at nowhere in particular. Staring off into space, it was quite calming as he felt the refreshing drink soothe his tingly throat. 

Just when he finally felt so comfortable, in his zone, Agoti leapt from his sitting position, when he recognised the song that changed on the radio. It was his song. Agoti’s song. The familiar guitar intro and lyrics to the song only made Agoti’s grin widen, and both Aldryx and Tabi were beyond stunned at how good the song was. Sure, Agoti was a brilliant musician, but they ddin;t expect him to reach such a high level of expertise. Though, Agoti was always so full of surprises, that they gave up trying to understand how he did it, and went along with the beat.

With Tabi still on the sofa, now jamming to something more his style, Aldryx’s feet shuffled against the tiled floor of their house as he started to dance to the song. He was such a supportive big brother to Agoti, and Agoti was rapping alongside himself without a care, the words spilling freely from his mouth, pleased that his song was featured on the radio.

Agoti glanced at Tabi, then gestured to get up from the sofa to enjoy the music with them. Tabi shook his head, declining the request, but Agoti, stubborn as ever, yanked the goat from his spot, thankful his cup of tea was empty. 

“Dance with us!” the younger digidevil suggested, quite cheerfully.

“I can’t dance,” Tabi replied, a little colder than he had intended. 

Aldryx frowned at Tabi’s words, he never thought there was such a thing as an “inability to dance”. Everyone could do it, it was simple enough, if they truly enjoyed themselves. 

“I’ll teach you,” Aldryx offered.

Upon hearing those words, Tabi stiffened a little. He really wasn’t any good at dancing and thought it was hopeless to try. However, the determined look in Aldryx’s eyes made him feel a little more hopeful about the whole thing. He gave a subtle nod, and did some small moves to start himself off.

“Not bad, not bad at all,” Aldryx applauded, Tabi really didn’t give himself enough credit sometimes, “though you could relax a little. You’re pretty stiff, just let your body flow with the rhythm. That’s what dancing’s all about, that might be why you’re struggling with dancing sometimes.” 

Tabi nodded at the advice, and huffed. Admittedly, he was quite nervous, he didn’t want to mess up and embarrass himself in front of his two friends. His breathing relaxed, his muscles definitely less tense than before, which was good for him. The poor guy was always so anxious and nervous, untrusting of everyone and everything, except the Andromedas. 

Finally, after a long while, his dancing felt more natural, less jerky and nervous. It was obvious, he wasn’t tense anymore, and was quite glad to dance properly for once. Enjoying each step, each movement, he felt at peace, relishing in the moment of letting loose. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips, definitely quite happy to dance without much of a care in the world for once. The only time he felt so calm and peaceful in such a long time, and he wished it could last forever.

The two brothers smiled at Tabi’s happiness, a sense of accomplishment washing over them as they joined him in his little happy dance, enjoying the music playing in the background, Agoti’s song on repeat, for the trio to dance gleefully to.

Tabi’s worries, in that moment, had washed away, he was now spinning around, swinging his anxiety away from his body as he felt much lighter. Little did they know, Solazar was watching them from the doorway after his grocery shopping, but they didn’t notice, and they didn’t care. Pleased that Tabi was feeling better due to his sons, Solazar hummed in satisfaction as he climbed the stairs up to his room after setting the groceries down.

 Chuckles and laughs could be heard from all three of them, nothing could beat this moment he was having with his friends, and none of them wanted such a perfect moment to end.

But nothing good can last forever, am I right?

Tabi smiled a little at the bittersweet memory of the dance, gazing at the sunset, which was supposed to relax him, but just the thought of relaxing made him feel a bit more grim, and he frowned a little. Relaxing, it sounded like such a daunting task now.

He glanced to his right, seeing Aldryx, sitting beside him, watching the sunset too, wearing a similar frown to his.

Tabi turned to his left, and saw…

An empty space, where Agoti should have been.

And in the background, Agoti’s song played, the same one Tabi danced to a year ago, before Agoti’s disappearance.
