Hi Everyone, Hydration and Nutrition plays very important role during covid recovery. They are very important part of medical treatment and are central for recovery. Most of the people experiences symptoms like fever, stomach problems, fatigue, vomiting, muscle pain etc. To counter these one must hydrate and eat high calorie foods. ✓At a minimum one should drink at least 3-4l every day. Best drink is water but you can also drink sports drink, juices, dairy and soups. Avoid drinking caffeine and high sugary drink as they work opposite (dehydrate) and actually hinders the progress made by body. ✓Eat high calorie and protein rich diet. Even if you are not hungry try to eat small portions every few hrs. Calories are important so that you can maintain your energy during the day. Include rice, potatoes, bread, pasta, whole grains (oats, millets) and cereals in your diet, but avoid foods with empty calories - like all types of junk food (chips, burgers etc.). ✓Eat protein rich food as it helps build muscles. Most of the patient loose lot of weight and have muscle loss during covid. Therefore, it is very important to add protein to your diet. Add protein rich food like chicken, fish & eggs if non vegetarian or else add lot of nuts, seeds, pulses, legumes etc. ✓Avoid any kind of spicy and fried food as they cause inflammation in the body.
