Ok ok do you allow me to talk about my ocs... this is just Olive and Ambrose's lore i wrote for Artfight (reminder this is always ok to ask stuff about my ocs im my ask box... im very obsessed with both of them rn so aah anyway)

26yo 163cm he/him Trans & gay man

Olive is a young man who loves cute thing, clothes and makeup. He also loves olives and olive color as an aesthetic and wants everything related, but he doesn't like olives as food

He tries to act confident but is full of insecurities, while he loves being feminine, he's anxious about not being seen as a man and is always looking for support and love from other men

Olive will find this support in Ambrose and quickly fall in love, he will not hide these feelings for long and if at first he just wants to spend time with Ambrose and don't expect anything from a so perfect man, he's gonna notice that his feelings may be not one sided, from that he will decided to do anything to be Ambrose's boyfriend. That includes discovering the reason of why Ambrose doesn't want him to be more involved with him, And Olive isn't afraid about putting himself in a dangerous situation, and more than that, he will never ask Ambrose to give up on his goal for him and will support him

Even when understanding that Ambrose personality's is mostly fake, he's still fine with being with him, because all he needs is being loved and he knows Ambrose's feelings are real

Ambrose works in a bakery and is really popular among all the customers because of how kind and sweet he appears He's good at everything he tries and acts like a very generous and helpful person

When meeting Olive, he's gonna act like always, as he spends time with the young man, he begins to feel a real attachment to him. When Olive will stop hiding his feelings for him, Ambrose is gonna act indifferent at first but will show more and more of his own feelings. Because he's actually looking for revenge and lives a dangerous life, he doesn't want to involve Olive in that. But unable to actually reject Olive because of how much he's starting to love him, he's gonna accept to let the young man stay by his side

Ambrose lost a part of himself and only have been looking for revenge since that, he has no idea of who he is anymore outside of that goal, and loving Olive will become the second only thing he knows is true about himself. Ambrose consider him like a light in the dark, but while he was scared this light could try to keep him away from his revenge, Olive will actually gladly accompany him towards his goal

They're both broken people who find a lot of comfort in each other despite their relationship being close to codependecy, they're both hoping for a future where they can both be themselves, happy together, in a much healthier realationship

ohh hang awn did i srsly never post any of the refs i made for artfight this year on here?? DAMN!! nice memory on ya mori

WELL!! lemme start with these two cuz ive been wanting to give a better synopsis of bleeding hearts on my main anyways. (a similar synopsis exists on both their artfight pages and the fic page- however just in case my tumblr followers don't touch that stuff cuz I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING!)

in summary: bleeding hearts is my goofy little crossover named after the dove breed (for thematic relevancy!) in which blue baby gets bucked outta the basement and straight into Nevada. luckily they end up in the best place a sentient corpse possibly could- the zombie-infested sewers! it's mostly a written fic tho i do post art here sometimes, once again here's the link to the first chapter if you wanna read it!! the other basement kids may make appearances eventually.... but the focus is blue n crackpot bc they're my faves and if NO ONE ELSE IS GONNA PUT EM IN A SITUATION then BY GOLLY I WILL!!!

We Are The Spider Verse update #1 

So far we have 9 of the 36 spots taken and I planned on reaching out to different social medias to fill out the rest of the spots but I slowed down on the project due to life stuff. 

               I am still working on the project though! And I want to take it as far as I can. I have done the lineart for all of the current spider-people and am gonna get the flat coloring for them done today. I don’t want to get started on the finishing touches like color correction and after effects until most of the spots are filled so that I can blend them together properly later on.  

     After the flat coloring is complete I plan to make a post for instagram and then eventually tiktok. (I’m also doing this alongside artfight so bare with me!).

2022 in review

in an effort to blog about art on my art blog more i will be writing a post covering my work in 2022 and maybe some aspirations going forward into 2023

2022 was the year of learning to paint! at the beginning i was really frustrated, a lot of my pieces were very hit or miss and i couldnt tell why some sucked and some fuckd. i nibbled at some online courses for fundamentals, James Gurney’s Color & Light book and Marco Bucci’s painting videos, and was looking for a mentor at one point but i think i stopped cuz i broke my thumb briefly lol

in June i split a schoolism sub with emma and it was an amazing decision. i think if you have limited time to practice drawing or dont know where to go the best thing is to take a course, and ive taken cheap or free courses online but the tutors on schoolism are top of the industry and the quality of their teaching is stellar imo. literally felt my brain explode with knowledge they are the best of the best. i finished the painting workout course with wouter tulp and ive dipped in and out of numerous others since then. its cool bcus u can study at your own pace.

July was artfight, i did talk about it here so not gonna repeat myself heh

then i was really busy with my MA, its been so fun and so exhausting. a year is so short and i want to try all the printing techniques and ceramics and everything cry. but hey now i know indesign and can make my own zines and stuff which is amazing. i also tabled at my first market :) i did really like it and would love to do more, dont want to put pressure on myself to do that this year but at least wanna visit them and scope out the audiences and stuff.

school really is making me appreciate traditional art again, tbh it is nothing like digital. you just cant get that chaos or physical resistance from your materials in digital, everything is very deliberate and constructed and almost predictable. ive started to incorporate more traditional work into my pieces where i can, especially photobashing. i can use photos i offhandedly took years ago and it feels really nice to get to repurpose them.

a spread from my school project, a book about one of my passions (i chose the story of how i got into elden ring!!!) i made it from paper cutting, photobashing, and digital. (im going to sell pdf and physical copies in the new year)

so circling back to the start of the year, i think you can see marked progress in my illustrations that ive posted here. i think i learned a lot about techniques within a painting but i want to learn more about pictorial composition bcus my default tends to be 3:4, portrait, charas centre, and i want to break that habit and tell more effective stories :)

over the past 2 years ive been incorporating more realism into the characters i draw and trying to be really deliberate with what features, proportions etc they have.

a 2021 isa and a 2022 isa

i think i want to maintain this level of detail because its descriptive enough for my needs but i want to push it to be more dynamic and stylised. i really admire the way disney animators like jin kim do it. its because im not confident enough with structure and anatomy to really play with it.

on the other hand with life drawing i really want to do more realism and capture exactly whats in front of me because i think i rely on style as a crutch too much hahaha.

thats whats on my mind really. again really dont want to put any undue pressure on myself and i am going to be really busy until october at least. i am seriously proud of my progress in 2022. and im really looking forward to playing bloodborne x

wow thanks for the attention omg. I've only just started posting Bugsnax, but be warned that I also like other indie games and Pokémon and sprinkling in bouts of my OCs and experimental stuff.

artfight has given me So Much Power since I know I can just draw whatever and POST IT without it being perfect and have fun with it.

Anyways Azzle is my journalist OC. they are from a very normal family and have fancy name and fancy looks but they also have every mental illness. They do freelance and personal writing now that they're not with GNN and bounce around helping their friends. They live in their airship and have a little leash for Sprout so he doesn't fall off, but they have nightmares about every other Bugsnax, except maybe Joey Quickbeans who keeps hanging around them but escapes before they can grab him. They are best friends with everyone, even Cromdo.

They are super best friends with the Fizzlebean siblings and have tbh'd their way into helping Floofty with documentation and journal writing. They write and draw more than they speak and they are terrified of bugsnax and are normal and not traumatized.

I'm probably gonna usually post post-snaktooth stuff because I love that.
