Redrawn ra comic!! When I drew this I loved (and i still love) the relationship Halt and Will have. I imagined that Will never really got a lot of physical contact at the orphanage therefore he gets very happy everytime Halt would give him a pat on his shoulder or ruffle his hair.

It's also so nice to see that I have improved so much and I aspire to keep improving ofc

I also want to thank @artsysurvivor by saying those nice things in your tags, it really made my day! I hope you enjoy this comic :D

Hi can we talk about that scene in Ranger's Apprentice: The Icebound Land where Halt and Horace are in the inn and theres the musicians playing pipe music and it reminds Halt of the summery days training with Will back at Redmont, and he starts tearing up and he's about to wipe away the tears but then he's like "Will is worth at least a few tears from an old grizzled wreck".

If the music had just made him cry over Will that'd be enough, but the fact that he made no move to hide the tears because Will was worth it is just TOO MUCH. I am screaming and crying and BANGING ON THE TABLE RN

Originally I had intended for this to be an elf-themed shoot, however once a friend commented on the fact we looked like a Green Aes Sedai, and Warder from The Wheel of Time series I couldn't unsee it, and thus ran with the idea. :)

I finished it! First well made comic on my new drawing tablet!

I will always love rangers apprentice and i definitly love every interaction Will and Halt have togheter, their father-son relationship heals my soul. So have this self indulgent piece!! Hehe

Also: i know Halt has black hair, and uhm yeah no hehe. I've always seen him with gingeresque brown hair and i discovered waaay to late he has black hair. So. I'm not changing that. See it as my personal headcanon if you will.
