It just occurred to me, and I’m sure I’m not the first person to point this out, that GO3 is perfectly set up to be the mirror opposite of season 1
The world is coming to an end, but this time, Aziraphale is the one who has to convince Crowley to work with him and that Their Side is worth fighting for. He’ll finally have to declare affirmatively that he and Crowley belong on their own side together, as opposed to hiding behind the pretense that Crowley is just dragging him along, because for the first time ever Crowley isn’t going to chase him down

oh waaaaah jjk sucks because my fave died!! okay then go back to children’s shows or something where no one ever dies at all.
since the beginning of the series it was established that being a sorcerer was incredibly dangerous and ended with most sorcerers having short lives. it’s one of the first things discussed by the characters.
it’s a dark series and that means people will die. “people dying = bad and predictable writing!!!” it’s a fantasy series and you aren’t the one fucking writing it. it’s not even complete and you don’t actually even know who’s dead or not or who will actually stay dead. they haven’t even fully revealed what yuuji’s team’s plan is yet.
like…if you don’t like that then take your ass back to bnha or grow tf up.

MINATO SHOUJI COIN LAUNDRY SEASON 2 (2023, JAPAN)
Episode 12 The Finale
Season 2 has come to a close with of course the miraculous return of Shin's (NISHIGAKI SHO) memories of his precious Akira Minato (KUSAKAWA TAKUYA)
But with Minato momentarily return to his discomfort of being intimate with his boyfriend but he quickly put that to rest.
But the morning after a return to the discomfort, not being able to look his young lover in the eye but our Shin was charming aggressive self. (Perhaps aggressive isn't the right word but you know what I mean.
But then Shin asked his regular question. "Minato-san do you like me"
"I Love You, Shin" was the answer to Shin's shocked delight.

Trying to figure out how to word the fact that old people in a future setting would be elite video game experts.
Like with handling a controller, like all these kids these days and their newfangled computer brains, back in MY day we could type 500 words a minute with our FINGERS and had the twitch responses of a god.
Doc headshots Deimos 6 times in their game and Deimos has no idea what the fuck is going on because he doesn’t know how to aimbot.

sorry but in season 3 i need to see aziraphale grovel. i need him to swoop in and save the day for crowley and apologize and kiss him with everything he’s got bc crowley deserves it. and yes i understand aziraphale is still brainwashed effectively and he has so much unlearning still to do but crowley deserves aziraphale at his best and once he gets there? they will be so deliriously happy and i will lose my mind.

Figured out why the ‘Mike doesn’t say he loves El anymore’ conflict feels so out of place - it’s because that’s Steve and Nancy’s conflict from season 2. It doesn’t belong to Mike and El! It’s literally a different couple’s conflict badly and sloppily tacked onto their relationship! No wonder it doesn’t feel like it fits!
And honestly, looking at it from the perspective of ‘this isn’t just not-foreshadowed and poorly introduced but also out of character’: it also doesn’t make any fucking sense that El would ever lie to Mike. Especially not to try to convince him that she’s cool and popular and happy without him. The whole thing just smacks of ‘we watched half an episode of a random sitcom in a hospital waiting room one time and thought we could just steal and give that conflict to our literal main characters without anybody noticing that it doesn’t belong in our story or their relationship and makes no fucking sense.’

Man i wish i was better at analysis. Me and someone else will watch a story about a knight destroying a dragon from the inside out and the other person goes "this is a beautiful story about how self hatred can kill you before you even die. The knight represents sickness and depression, those outside factors that causes one to hate themself, and the dragon represents the reader. Through this tragedy we as an audience learn that we must love ourselves or else we die before we can live." And when they ask me about my interpretation of the story i go "uh. Its a story about a knight stabbing a dragon in his tummy....? Which. Uh. Which means that you shouldnt eat random things on the ground."

Observing the fandoms of shows I watch that have lots of fans that skew younger makes me kind of marvel at how different things are in online fandom even just 10 years after I was their age.
Like, I know I probably sounded like I was losing my mind every 5 seconds in posts I made as a teenager, but some things I see nowadays are actually concerning. I see people taking things waaaayyyyyy too seriously. It’s a TV show. It’s not obligated to go in the direction you want it to. It’s not the end of the world when it doesn’t. It’s not even the end of the TV show yet. Who’s to say it won’t go in that direction eventually, or even do something completely different that you’ll like even more than what you initially wanted? And outside the bubble of those younger fans on tumblr and twitter, no one really cares about the same issues that are being blown out of proportion here.
