“Why did you have to pick the bushes?” Sam whined, “I hate the bushes.”
You take off your helmet, shaking your head gently to free the strands sticking to your face. You look over to your partner-in-justice and can’t help but crack a smile. His thick, muscly arms were crossed against his chest, lips contorted into a disappointed pout that was too cute for words with chocolate brown eyes shooting sharp daggers in your direction.
“C’mon, Sammy, it isn’t so bad,” you give him a lopsided smile. “You look like a pretty fairy princess.”
“I’m a cop,” he bites, you hold back the urge to laugh but end up snorting instead. He rolls his eyes. The dense foliage you were hidden behind rustles in the rushing wind that comes with the cars zipping by the highway.
“Why is it always the bushes?” he asks exasperated, letting his hands fall to his sides, “I hate bugs.”
“Because,” you reached back and started to feel around in the compartment of the bike, “this is the only spot on the highway where we’re invisible,” you reminded, lips curling into a smile while pulling out your radar. “I hate it when they slow down when they see us.”
Sam clicks his tongue then chuckles, “you’re brutal.”
“I’m doing my job,” you pointed the radar at an SUV driving by. You scoffed, grudgingly at the driver’s adherence to the speed limit.
“Holy crap!” Sam yells, jumping back in his motorbike, “it’s a spider!”
You turn to him. “Where?” you asked, looking around.
“Are you blind?” he hissed, pointing at the handle of his bike. “It’s right there!” he shouted, obnoxiously loud. “Kill it!”
There’s nothing there!”
“Yes it is!” he insisted, “Oh my God, it’s moving!” he cried, squirming away from the front of his bike.
You lean over to get a better look and spot a tiny —minuscule, baby, small, microscopic— spider sitting on the handle minding its own business.
You glare at him judgingly, but he doesn’t notice by how freaked out he is. You flick it away with a finger as if it was nothing and return to your work. Sam lets out a deep sigh of relief.
You roll your eyes while checking another car. 63 mph. So damn close. “You’re such a coward,” you grunted.
“Am not,” he retorted sharply.
“Are too,” you bit back.
“That thing was huge!” he defended.
You aim the gun at another car when he starts to ramble about how much he hates the bushes.
You whip your head back to him. “Dude it was this big,” you measured with your fingers, “Stop being so—” you cut yourself off when a flash of white flashes in the corner of your eye.
“Whoa,” Sam gaped.
“Officer,” you called, pointing the radar at the speeding car. Sam can hear the wicked grin in your voice.
“Yes, officer?” he replies, all teeth and gums.
“What’s the speed limit on this stretch of the highway?” you asked.
“Sixty-five miles per hour,” he informed.
“Now correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t seventy-nine bigger than sixty-five?” you asked, showing him the radar.
Sam looks at you with the most despicable look plastered on his face. He takes his helmet and slips it on. The engine of your motorcycle whirls and you flip on the emergency lights.
“This is gonna be fun.”

“I can’t believe you overslept!” Steve screamed into Bucky’s ear. Bucky moves the phone away from his ear. You could’ve heard Steve’s voice from a mile away. “Today’s the biggest deal of our lives and you’re not even here! Tony’s flipping out and I’m hiding under my desk because he’s throwing shit around.”
“Tell him I’ll be there in five minutes.”
“Five minutes my ass!” Steve hisses, “Where even are you?”
His grip on the wheel grows tighter, mentally preparing himself for the blond’s impending and inevitable outrage. “On I-95, around exit forty,” Bucky replies cautiously. His ears started to ring at the sound of Steve’s ear-piercing screams and a distant siren coming closer as the seconds pass by.
God no. Please, anything but that.
He begins to slow down and turns to see who it is. He knows who it is. He’s had a run-in with the police more than once and he’s got a stack of speeding tickets to prove it.
Sam’s motorcycle comes up to his right and tells him to pull over. Bucky has a strong urge to just ignore him and speed past them. The possibility of losing his job was making him sway in his morals.
He could do it and might even make a getaway. Hmm….
Yeah, he’d do it, if he wasn’t such a damn coward.
“Steve, I’m gonna put you on hold for a second,” He pulls over to the side.
“NO, don’t put me on hol—” his voice cuts off when Bucky taps it anyway. He smirks at the screen of his phone.
A tap comes at the window and he turns to come eye to eye with an officer. Not the guy, but a girl.
Holy shit, she’s pretty.
You tap the window again this time a bit harder and he breaks out of his trance, scrambling to push the button for the window.
“Hi there,” you greeted with a smirk, prim but cocky.
Scratch that, she’s hot.
“H-hello, Officer,” he stutters.
“Nice car you got here,” you lean back a bit to get a better look at the car.
“M-Mercedes, miss,” he replies.
You revert your gaze back to him and it sends sweet shivers down his spine.
“Yeah?” you asked. He nods with a gulp, You let out a breathy chuckle, finding his timid behavior oddly cute. “Well Mr. Mercedes,” you sassed, “this ain’t the Autobahn, it’s a shitty highway to New York.”
“Really? I didn’t notice,” he retorted with a grin. Your lips twist into a scowl and Bucky gets the feeling you are not amused. He panics on the inside.
“You know the speed limit around here?” you questioned.
“Uh—well, um,” he stammers for a few moments. “Seventy?”
You roll your eyes at him, shifting your stance onto one leg with one hand hugging the curve of your hip. “It’s sixty-five and you were running at seventy-nine. This ain’t the Daytona 500, kiddo.”
“Yes, but you see,” he replies, “I’m actually late—”
“The law is the law,” you stated, “and everyone follows it. Now I’d like to see your registration, license, and insurance,” you extend your hand towards him.
He quickly turns and opens the glove compartment of his car and pulls out all of his papers and hands it to you.
“I’ll be right back,” you grunt as you walk back to Sam and your motorbike.
Bucky hits his head against his steering wheel and lets out a distressed exhale.
This is it. He’s definitely fired now. You’re definitely going to give him a ticket. Steve and Tony are going to hate him. He’s gonna be dirt poor because he lost his job and nobody wants to hire a guy who can’t even wake up on time. He won’t be able to pay that ticket and then he’ll have to go to court. And the pretty cop is gonna be there, smiling at him all sweet as they drag him off to jail.
Bucky’s head snaps up when he hears his phone ringing beside him on the seat. He picks up the phone call from Steve.
It’s Tony.
“BARNES WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!?!” he shouted.
“I’m-uh-,” he scratches his head. “On the way.”
“On the way to where?” he hurls at him, “Mars?”
“No, to Stark Industries,” Bucky sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Listen, I got into a bit of a bind, the cops pulled me over for speeding.”
“You’ve gotta be joking me,” Tony replies, sounding like he’s on the verge of crying. “I’m ruined. I’ve got a meeting with Pym Tech in ten minutes and my numbers guy is nowhere to be seen. Do you realize how much you’ve hurt me right now? You broke my fucking heart.”
Bucky rolls his eyes.
“Do something and get the hell out of there,” Tony ordered.
“I can’t leave until they let me.”
“No one said you couldn’t.”
“No! Don’t do that!” Steve butts in.
Bucky looks out the window and sees you checking his information. He pays close attention to the way your hair shines under the sun and how your rather modest uniform makes you look exceptionally hot.
“But y’know,” he talks into the speaker. “She’s one cute officer.”
Tony snorts, “Yeah? How cute?” He was never one to not discuss women, even in the middle of a crisis.
“Real cute, but hot at the same time,” Bucky replies.
Steve snatches the phone from Tony, “Buck, don’t do anything stupid,” he ordered, knowing the way Bucky did things when it came to the ladies.
“Too late,” Bucky smirked, hanging up on Steve. He throws his phone back onto the seat watching the way you strut towards him. Confident but elegant.
“Everything’s good here,” you handed him his papers and he smirks. “You’ve got quite a history, Mr. Barnes.”
“I’m bad with time,” Bucky said, “Always running late. Never late to a date though.”
“That’s nice,” you reply in passing, filling out the ticket paper.
“So…” he draws your attention towards him. His arm rests along the length of the window, making it hard for you to not notice the way his lean muscles stretch his shirt. “I don’t suppose there’s a way I can bribe my way out of this?” he asks innocuously, tracing his finger along the metal symbol on the steering wheel.
You snort, returning to the notepad in hand, “For all the money you could bribe me with, you could just pay for the ticket.”
“I wasn’t talking about money, Officer,” he smirks when you look over at him.
“And what do you have in mind?” you jest just to see where this will take you.
“I’m thinking, me, you, and a really nice cafe on the fancier side of New York.”
You pause your writing and look over at him and raise a brow. His crystal blues eyes glimmer under the sun, pooling with harmless playfulness. Taking a closer look at him, you have to admit he’s kinda hot.
You shake your head, lips curling into a lazy smile, fingers returning to writing. “Nice try, but I’ll pass.”
Bucky slumps over his car and frowns.
“What? You thought you were the first person to ever flirt with an officer?” you cackled, “it happens more often than you think.”
“Thought I’d try anyway,” he says and shrugs.
“I admire your honesty,” you compliment him.
A soft smile spreads along his face.
Get a hold of yourself, officer.
“So how about a date and a ticket?” he bargains.
“You want a date with the chick that gave you a ticket?” you elaborated, a chuckle coloring your words.
Bucky notices the soft pink dusting your cheeks and it’s immensely satisfying. “I mean if it’s someone as pretty as you, I’d be stupid not to take the chance.”
You stop writing to clear your throat, the blush on your cheeks reaching your ears. “And what makes you think I’ll say yes?” you countered as coolly as possible.
He shrugged, “I don’t think. I just hope?” he says sweetly.
You smile at him for a second then shake your head. “Sorry to bring your hopes up but I’m not allowed to affiliate with others during work hours. So that’s a no from me,” you replied sternly, a bit harder than you wanted it to sound.
“Damn,” he frowns slightly, “bad day for me I guess. I’m late for a meeting, possibly going to get fired because of it, and got two no’s from the pretty officer,” he lists on his fingers.
You huff, feeling unwanted compassion for the brunette. Usually, you weren’t this soft, but this guy had a charm to him that others didn’t. Damn bastard. This better not come to bite you in the ass later.
“Alright, I’ll let you slide,” you give in, unwillingly. “Just this once.”
Bucky grins from ear to ear making one creep onto your own.
“But if I ever see you speeding again, I won’t be so nice and neither will anyone else,” you warned playfully. “So mind the speed limit please.”
“Yes, of course.”
“Have a nice day, Mr. Barnes,” you walk away but he calls you back.
“Don’t you think I deserve a reminder of some sort?” he asks, faux innocence lacing his tone. “So I don’t speed anymore?”
You turn back and smirk, feeling like you know what he’s talking about. “Like what?”
“Your number maybe?” he wonders, practically hanging out of his car.
“My number?” you asked in mock confusion and a chuckle. “Now how would that help? I’m not allowed to do that.”
“A little rebellion never hurt anyone,” Bucky tempted with a sultry smile.
“I won’t tell a soul, I promise,” he smiles. You’re unsure. “Cross my heart and hope to die,” he pledges with an action.
You return to him with a chuckle and pull out the notepad. “I guess I can do that,” you nodded. Bucky quietly cheers to himself as you scribble something down. You rip out the piece of paper and hand it to him with a smile. Your fingers brush against his, firing goosebumps against his arm. His eyes look up to meet yours, sparkly under the sun.
“Have a good day, Mr. Barnes,” you say, walking backwards to your motorcycle, almost bashfully.
You get on your motorcycle and ride away with Sam. Both giving the brunette a wave before leaving. A few miles down, Sam finally asks: “You didn’t actually give him your number, did you?”
You laughed, loud and bright. He doesn’t understand what’s so funny.

Bucky exits the conference room. The meeting was a success and Pym Tech agreed to the deal for the new set of tablets Tony designed. Tony slams a hand on his shoulder.
“Great work in there,” he cheers, beaming from ear to ear.
“Thanks,” Bucky smiles.
“So how’d it go with the officer?” he asks.
Bucky laughs heartily and shakes his head, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. “I-uh- got her number,” he told him.
“That’s great man!” Tony congratulated before being pulled to the side by one of the others.
Bucky walks on towards his office digging his hand into his pocket. A pink scrap of paper twists through his fingers and he roars in laughter, startling those around him. He pulls it out just to admire your pretty handwriting.

p.s. ask for the police.
Guess that’s three no’s from the pretty officer.

Main 8: what’s your favorite story that you’ve heard at Fairy Tale Theater?
Tinkerbell:
"That's easy! I'm biased still; I love hearing the story of the lost treasure! Partially because I lived it!"
Tumblr media
Fawn:
"I love the story called The 7 Brothers. It's about 7 brothers who live and hunt together in the woods, and one day they are confronted by a King, who tells them whoever shoots an arrow nearest to his daughter shall have her as his bride and be king himself someday. The king has hidden her in the forest somewhere, so each brother shoots 1 arrow in whichever direction they believe her to be. The youngest brother, Viktor, is also the weakest of the brothers, but the kindest. His brothers mock him when his arrow does not go far. The princess hears them, and places herself beside the youngests arrow, and he and her fall in love and be married! I just think it's a nice story!"
Tumblr media
Zarina:
"I don't go the theatre alot, but I do remember a nice story about a group of pirates who become shipwrecked on a lost island, and discover a lost civilization, and they have a chance to save this civilization and turn their lives around. I forgot what it was called though."
Tumblr media
Periwinkle:
"At our theatre in Winter Woods, I was told a story about 2 sisters. One was born with ice powers, the other not. But an accident almost killed the normal sister, and so a spell was placed on her to heal her that made her forget her sisters powers too. The story was about sisterhood, and being comfortable with yourself, as well as love and sacrifice. In the end, the sisters are the best of friends again!"
Tumblr media
Rosetta:
"The ugly bride! It's about a beautiful princess, who is loced by a cruel king. She rejects his advances, and he turns her into a hideous frog. The only way to turn back into a princess is to earn the love of a prince. A prince in a nearby kingdom is being forced to find a bride, and while on a walk one day, meets the frog princess. She tells him that if he marries her, she shsll make him proud and happy. Afraid his father will force him to marry someone else, he marries the frog princess. His brothers and their wives mock and ridicule him for it, and he becomes embarassed. The frog princess continues to reassure him. The king, decides it is time to choose an heir, and so puts his sons up to several tasks to please him, and their wives. The first task he gives the wives, is to make him a splendid meal. The frog princess works all night alone, and somehow makes a beautiful, delicious meal that outdoes the other 2 wives. The second night, the king orders the women to design him a new outfit, and once again, the frog princess makes a costume fit for a king. The last night, the king asks the women to weave him a tapestry. The frog princess weaves all night under the moon, and creates the most beautiful tapestry in the kingdom. The king is pleased with the frog princess, as is her prince husband. He admits he underestimated her abilities and kindness, and plans a ball to show how proud he is of her. That night, at the ball, a beautiful woman appears before everyone, and reveals that she is indeed the frog princess. The curse lifted, the king declares that she and her husband shall rule next, and they live happily ever after."

Silvermist:
"I've always loved the story of the lake fairy. One day, a poor woodcutter was chopping wood to sell by a lake one day, and he lost his grip on his axe and it fell into the lake. The lake was very deep, amd he could not swim. As he sat by the shore thinking of how he could not afford another axe, a beautiful water fairy appeared to him, and asked him why he was so sad. When he told her of his lost axe, she offered to get it for him, and she dipped below the water. When shr returned, she had a shimmering, solid silver axe. What a fortune it was worth! He could feed his family for many seasons with that axe. But it was not his, and he told the fairy the truth. She dipped below the water once again, and returned with another axe, this one solid gold. He would never have to sell wood again with that axe! But it was not his, and he told her the truth. She once again dipped into the lake, and this time returned eith his rightful, trusty axe. He was delighted, and she delivered it to him. She told him that because he had told her the truth about the other 2 axes, he could have them too. And so the man returned home with all three axes, and was able to leave his job behind for a better future with his family. It's a sweet story!"
Tumblr media
Iridessa:
"My favourite story is the one about the little girl and the stream. One day, there was a kind little girl named Lucy, who lived in a shack with her cruel and lazy mother, and cruel and lazy sister. After supper, the mother told Lucy to fetch some water by the stream so they could wash. And so down to the stream she went to get water. An old woman appeared, and asked if she could have some of her water to drink, as she was old and frail and was afraid of falling in the stream. Lucy happily obliged, and let her drink as much water as she wanted. The old woman thanked her after, and told her that because she was so kind and sweet, she shall be rewarded every time she spoke. Lucy trudged back to the house, where her impatient mother asked her what took her so long. But when Lucy began to speak, pearls and small jewels began to fall from her mouth. After hearing of the old woman, the mother ordered the other sister to fetch water from the stream, and to be kind to the old woman so she too could have riches fall from her mouth. The cruel sister went down to the stream, but saw no old woman. Instead, a beautiful young woman approached her, and asked for some of her water. The cruel sister refused, telling her to get it herself, and told her to get lost. The beautiful woman told her she was nasty and vile, and so from now on her words would produce nasty and vile creatures. The cruel sister ran back to the house, where her mother was eager to know what happened. When she tried to tell her story, snakes and frogs came from her mouth instead! Little Lucy ran away, and lived a life of luxury from her jewels always practicing kindness to those around her. The cruel mother and sister lived their days in filth and misery, surrounded by frogs and snakes."
Tumblr media
"I don't really do the theatre, but if I had to choose a story, it's the minotaur and the maze. It's about 2 warring kingdoms. The son of King Rolf was killed in the country of King Julius, and King Rolf blamed Julius, and ordered that every 3 years, 12 random citizens from King Julius's country would be forced aboard a ship bound for his own. These 12 people would then be locked in a maze meant to trap a violent minotaur, as sacrifices. Of they survived through the night, they would be taken back to their country and set free. No one had ever lived till dawn. As the time came to pick which citizens of his country would be chosen, King Julius's own son, Xavier, volunteered himself. He thought that perhaps if he were to die, then King Rolf would stop his madness for good. King Julius reluctantly agreed, and the prince boarded the ship bound to King Rolf's country. When the prisoners arrived, King Rolf was delighted to see the prince among them. King Rolf's daughter, Helena, was present as well. Prince Xavier boldly declared that he would spend the night alone in the maze and kill the minotaur himself. If he prevailed, King Rolf would never again take innocent people from his country. King Rolf agreed, feeling that the death of his enemies son would be justice enough for his own sons death. The other prisoners were held in a cell together, while Prince Xavier waited for nightfall in a cell of his own. Just an hour before dark, Princess Helena came to his cell in secret. She offered to help him and his countrymen escape, believing her father cruel and vengeful. He turned down the kind offer, knowing if he fled King Rolf's bloody reign would continue. So Princess Helena gave him a long spool of golden thread, so he may tie one end to a rock in the maze, so he may not get lost. Surprised by her kindness and good heart, Prince Xavier promised he would succeed. And so that night, he was locked in the labyrinth, with his hidden thread and knife. He tied one of ge string ends to a rock, and began to explore the dark, mysterious maze. It was not long before the minotaur smelled the prince, and began to attack. The prince slashed the minotaurs eyes, as to blind him, then killed and beheaded the beast. Morning came, and to King Rolf's astonishment, Prince Xavier came out of the maze virtually unscathed, who threw the head of the fallen minotaur at his feet. Unable to back out of his agreement, King Rolf ordered the release of the other prisoners, and promised on paper that no other people shall be taken anymore. Prince Xavier was pleased, but owed his success to Princess Helena. He then demanded Princess Helena's hand in marriage as a sign of unity between the two countries. Princess Helena happily agreed, and so with their marriage, the two countries were able to live on peace."

We have a new citizen in Mount Phoenix:
Yoo Shiah, who is known by no other name;                                                a 22 year old daughter of Heimdall.                                                She is a police officer at the MPPD.
FC NAME/GROUP: (Yooa) Yoo Shiah / Oh My Girl CHARACTER NAME: Yoo Shiah AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: 22 /  September 17, 1995 PLACE OF BIRTH: Seoul, South Korea OCCUPATION: police officer at Mount Phoenix Police Department (MPPD) HEIGHT: 160 cm (5’3″) WEIGHT: 50 kg (110 lbs) DEFINING FEATURES: At first glance, it’s hard not to be awestruck by the girl’s delicate features and small face. Some would even claim that Shiah has an almost doll-like beauty. With silky black hair which often cascades down her small frame, it is usually left free and unstyled, or pulled up into a neat ponytail when she’s on the job, as it’s dark color contrast dramatically against her complexion.
PERSONALITY:
mbti: enfj-a alignment: neutral good
There had always been something deeper within the depths of Shiah's soul that was more concerned with the well being of others rather than herself. More often than not, coming off to be overbearing as she can’t help but fuss at those around her as she swears she has their best interest at heart. Without any tragic memories to taint her recollections on the world in which she’s lived in, Shiah is bottled sunshine. Skipping while she walks with a swing to her arms, and a soft hum on her lips. People wave her way, and her charisma draws people towards her in both good and bad ways. With a heart of fire, it’s warmth blossoms in the center of her chest. Passionate, impulsive, and quick-witted are just some words to describe the girl— she was always known for the common smile plastered upon her features, with the booming laugh waiting on the tip of her tongue to trail soon after.
She’s small in stature, but she possesses that of a lion heart. determined and ambitious, Shiah dedicates most of her time to her work as she is not only a busybody but also a workaholic.
Though she does well at her job and means to do good while she sports her police uniform; there are times when Shiah cannot help but get carried away in what she believes is right. Due to her own desire to achieve justice for those who have been victimized, she at times can be blinded to the truth that may be sitting below the surface of a more shallow and incorrect answer. Unfortunately, her passionate and empathetic nature leads the young woman to be quick to jump to conclusions.
HISTORY:    ♡ * º ❛  𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒  𝓇𝑒𝓌𝒶𝓇𝒹𝓈  𝓉𝒽𝑒  𝒷𝓇𝒶𝓋𝑒 …
i. it’s the smell of a new day — a freshly brewed pot of coffee. The enchanting melody of a gentle clacking fills a small apartment, and it is a sound that is stemmed from nimble fingers as they type away, softly, against an awfully aged keyboard. a warm smile. the visage of a mother, smiling bright and filled with laughter before a great life had permanently set creases unto her countenance.   Something so simple and vivid. far away, yet still somehow there — these are the things which fill Shiah’s mind as she recollects on her earliest childhood memories.
The girl is brought into a more than happy life despite the absence of her father. She’s told the truth about who she is, and her abnormal bloodline from an early age. The child of a god. There are no secrets between her and her mother, and it’s not exactly like her mother could really shield her from such knowledge as Shiah’s abnormal gifts had manifested within her from the very beginning of her existence. Glowing skin and locking doors with a signal touch, it was practically impossible to brush off such abilities as a coincidence. And flatly, not deem it to be something spectacular.
But, despite such information given to such a small child, Shiah grows up like any other kid. In the city of Seoul, she’s raised by a single mother who works on her own local newspaper, that has run in her family for ages. They don’t make much, but it is enough to get by. It’s a humble life, but Shiah wouldn’t have exchanged it for the world.
ii. He comes into her life at the age of five. She isn’t allowed to use her powers around him, her mother tells her. It’s a secret. And, that’s okay in Shiah’s eyes, she was used to keeping such truths hidden. The man quickly gains her approval as he often lets her play with his shiny badge, and play with his handcuffs of the occasion. He quickly becomes a regular part of her home life. He first began coming over only time to time. Then it was 4 times a week. Before she knew it, her mother’s boyfriend was finally staying the night and cooking their little family breakfast.
He is a man who’s kind, playful, and completely unintimidating. Unintimidating, despite the police uniform he daunts on his way to work every day, but to Shiah, he is just a giant teddy bear. A wonderful person and a missing void in her life that she didn’t realize she always wanted to be filled. Growing up with him was almost as if she had been growing up with another sibling, or another child within their household. The two of them were often seen around the house chasing each other in a classic heist of cops and robbers — Shiah obviously being the cop as she ran after a grown man hastily. Making serin sounds as she yelled behind him —to surrender. give up. And, astonishingly, she was always managing to save the day.
No like he let her or anything.
When she’s turning seven, her mother finally marries. A wedding her mother had always deserved, and to a man that loved her like no other. Shiah can’t be happier as their perfect little family finally seems to be finalized or permanent.
A few days later, the man signs the paperwork with a sunshine smile. A grin ear to ear. He signs his name as he adopts Shiah to be his own. When he shows the little girl the paperwork, her mother explaining what this meant, there are tears that come flooding from both a child and a grown man. She’s finally gotten the father she’s always wanted. The two, father and daughter, are a blubbering mess.
Happy as can be, their bond would only grow from here on out.
iii. The impossible is possible. Shiah finds that out in the year of her sixteenth birthday. When for the first time in her life, her sunshine world is dimmed with cloudy skies. It dawns on her with a yellow sticky note that greets her as she enters her home from a long day at school.
It’s devastating news. Her father had been shot on the job, and her mother had left to see him in the emergency room. When Shiah gets there, she discovers the severity of what had happened. It’s unfortunate, they tell them all that her father will never be able to walk again. With that, he retires from his duty on the police force and instead begins to help her mother with her newspaper, with the little that he can do.
Shiah is just thankful to still have him in her life.
When it comes time for high school to end, and for the girl to decide what she wants to do with her life, it is to no one’s surprise when she decides to enter the police academy. Inspired by the man she has come to know as her dad. She does it to memorate all the good he had done in his time of being a police officer. To see him smile in pride, and follow in his footsteps.
After she’s done with her time in the academy Shiah decides it’s time for her to move on from her parent’s nest. To start a life of her own and explore what’s out there. To experience life on her own. And, with her mother’s advice, she decides to move into Mount Phoniex. Eager to make this new place her home.
PANTHEON: Norse CHILD OF: Heimdall POWERS:            ( ♡ ) ━━━  light generation : Shiah has had the ability to generate light through that of her skin since she can remember. This is something that the girl has been doing ever since she was an infant as her mother often told her stories about how she would entertain herself as a baby by using her ability inside her crib. However, unfortunately, her ability to generate light is limited to that of her skin, and it really just a glowing effect rather than being some form of blinding light. And, as ridiculous as it may sound, this may be one of Shiah’s most used abilities that she obtains, as she is often too lazy to turn on any lights while she ventures through her apartment in the middle of the night. Not as if she can’t see within the dark, but rather, it is used for comfort.
( ♡ ) ━━━  enhanced sight and hearing : this power was brought to Shiah’s attention later on in life, not necessarily due to the fact that it wasn’t there, but rather because she had assumed everyone shared her capacity to see and hear. With that said, the girl is capable to hear things from large distances, or voices that are almost silent. She also obtains the ability to see things from far away as well as have almost perfect sight in the dark. This ability definitely helps her with her line of work.
( ♡ ) ━━━  sealed touch : This is an ability the Shiah uses on rare occasion as she hasn’t had many uses for this power. With that, she is also pretty rusty on how to use it. But, through a single touch, Shiah is able to seal any window or door as she pleases.
