in my hater era again but just saw a tiktok talking about kpop and idols with the caption “why would you want to stan mediocrity?”
girlie idk, maybe it’s bc the world is fucking bleak and awful and different things make different people happy? i truly do not care if a group or an idol i like is the best rapper or singer or performer — it’s good enough for me that it brings me joy.
these fanwars or callouts or “we need to hold idols accountable for being mediocre” are so fucking lame and i don’t care. i do not care. enjoy what you enjoy! not everything has to be a fucking thinkpiece!

Tbh. Ateez and TXT's biggest flex is that fact they have Cyberpunk and Anti Romantic as their B-Sides. I just imagine them nonchalantly walking into a bar and throwing their B-sides on the table like it's no big deal, then twirling their hair like Elle Woods, "A good kpop song? What? Like it's hard?"

one of my favorite underrated scenes in not me is the one where sean goes to see namo after getting beaten up by black & he starts doing some graffiti with insults bc obviously he's heartbroken, and namo takes another spray can and adds smileys & flowers to it, like... such a beautiful understated scene that makes namo my fave bl girlie ever, and also a beautiful testament to sean & namo's friendship despite it all <3

there's this post going around on twitter of someone giving their opinion that idol's dance skills are the least important to them and that they are artists first and they don't hear the squeak of their feet on the track so why does it matter, which is something to also unpack in itself, but then someone quoted that tweet being like "idols... are...artists?" and.... i just can't help but stare because if this doesn't show how people don't take idols artistry and talent seriously and only see them as content and not people then i don't know what does.... so you are telling me this WHOLE TIME... you thought they couldn't be classified as real artists even tho they spend years and years training to debut and spend days practising for performances and recording and doing wtv else but you still THINK... they shouldn't be called artists like?? if you genuinely think that it means that you don't actually like the music they produce and the performances they do which also begs the question: if you don't like it... WHY TF ARE YOU HERE THEN??

did anyone check out jared’s space on twitter? 👀
edit: oh wait let me say one more thing. sometimes it feels like y’all don’t actually care about accountability for people’s actions, you just want to project whatever you want onto the person based on whether you like them or not. because if someone doesn’t say something publicly or doesn’t feel authentic enough then they aren’t really sorry and they haven’t changed. but if they do say something and it seems sincere and polished then it’s media training. so they can’t win
