Hi eli🥳It's nice to see a new high & low writer.how would sword leaders be with their girly lover
How The Sword Leaders Are With Their Girly Lover.
AN | YES! I will happily do this, thank you so much! I decided to also add a wee little twist by adding 1 more character since technically he is a SWORD leader.
Tumblr media
Cobra | Hino Junpei
Tumblr media
Skin care
"What are you doing?" Cobra rounds the corner to your room, taking in the sight of you. Here you were, wearing a face mask, your hair pushed out of your face, and painting your nails your favorite color. "Doing skin care. Would you like to join?" You ask, a sweet smile plastered on your face. He seems hesitant before walking over and sitting next to you. "Good choice, I was gonna force you anyways."
Public affection
He does it rarely, and when it does happen you seem surprised. This is mainly because the others like to tease him. Unless Naomi is around, then they all shut up about it. (I make Naomi a hype woman, because I feel like she would definitely be one. Her and Lala.)
Date Nights
I feel as though Cobra would ask the others about what to do for date nights. This often leads to him just caving and asking Rocky or settling for a movie night. This man is half good of a cook, he never really learned. More of a take-out kind of guy, or will ask Yamato's mom to help him cook.
Getting hurt (Him)
He gets hurt a lot while fighting, which makes you kind of annoyed. Usually it is just you cleaning him up. You've started to keep a medkit on you at all times of the day.
Getting hurt (You)
Would stay calm but deep inside is worried to hell. If you didn't know how to use a medkit or how to clean your wounds, he would take you to Naomi. If you did, he'd pry the names of the people who hurt you and disappear for hours on end before coming back.
Wearing a skirt that is too short (or a dress)
This man would walk behind you and give anyone who looked at you in a weird way the deadliest death stare there is. We're talking about psychopathic death stare.
Jealous
Not entirely the jealous type, but when he is, he tends to show it by wrapping his arm around your shoulder. If he is really jealous, he holds your love handles/waist.
Tumblr media
Rocky | Mutsugi
Tumblr media
Skin Care
"Is it suppose to make me feel like my lips are burning?" Rocky asks as he stares at his lips, the lip plumper you had put on him moments ago finally kicking in. "Yes my dear, it is." You giggle slightly as you continue to rub your face wash into your face.
Public Affection
This man does not care if someone sees him being affectionate with you, he wants everyone to know who you belong to and who is the lucky person that gets to be with you.
Date Nights
Ohhh he knows how to cook. I mean, he's been on his own since he was a teen so he's had to learn how to cook. Your date nights are typically him cooking and treating you like you're a goddess. If he doesn't feel like cooking, he'll take you out somewhere and if you're lucky, shopping spree!
Getting Hurt (Him)
Rocky rarely gets hurt since he doesn't really fight but when he does, he usually doesn't want to tell you. He doesn't want to stress you or make you worry so he talks to Koo.
Getting Hurt (You)
If you get hurt, he'll send the others out to hunt down the person or people who harmed you. He will then spend the rest of the time making sure you are okay and helping you clean up. If he's really livid, he'll tell Kizzy to stay while he goes out. Just expect him to come back a wee bit roughed up.
Wearing a skirt that is too short (or dress)
He wouldn't walk behind you like Cobra would but he will make you wear his jacket. If anyone makes a disrespectful comment, he will simply make sure they never speak about you like that ever again. We're talking about this man being so unreasonable that he attacks someone.
Jealous
Doesn't get too jealous unless the other person starts getting touchy feely, then he steps in. His way of making it clear that you are taken is by holding you real close. Unlike Cobra, he doesn't really give death stares but he does give people the stink eye.
Tumblr media
Murayama | Yoshiki Murayama
Tumblr media
Skin Care
"'Yama.." You whisper, he had fallen asleep with the face mask on. His sleeping face looked so peaceful, you almost felt bad for waking him up. "Five more minutes, this is really comfortable to sleep it." He mumbles, holding your hand.
Public Affection
You don't get to really see each other that much as majority of his time is spent at Oya Kou. But when you do, he's super affectionate. Not wanting to lose you of course. Even if its in public, he is still lovey towards you.
Date Nights
Murayama can partially cook, if he does, that is rare. He doesn't want to cook in case it tastes really bad so he occasionally asks you if you want to order take out and stay in all night. This dies down to cuddling and having fun.
Getting Hurt (Him)
He always comes home with new injuries, whether they come from Todoroki or from others in Oya Kou. Although it is tiring to constantly patch him up, you love him nonetheless.
Getting Hurt (You)
Let's just say that this man goes lethal. We're talking man hunts. He will have Seki and Furuya hunting down whoever hurt you while he stays with you and covers you in pink or your favorite colored bandages. After that, he typically kisses your face to make you feel better.
Wearing a skirt that is too short (or a dress)
Best believe this man is walking with his jacket wrapped around your waist. Giving an ugly stare to anyone that stares for far too long. If you do this just to irk him, he'll see to it that you are wearing leggings.
Jealous
Oh boy, he's jealous. He'll act childish if someone is flirting with you or if they're getting way too close. This usually leads to him getting into a fight or him clinging to you like you are going to drift away at sea.
Tumblr media
Smoky | This man has no first name
Tumblr media
Skin Care
"Lala uses this too," He squints, reading the label. "Did you buy it for her?" "Yes, I've been helping her earn money from things." You laugh as you continue rubbing the lotion into his hands. His hands were not always rough, but he wanted to try your skin care routine.
Public Affection
Private or public this man don't care. He's hugging, kissing, and or giving you all his attention. Unless he's fighting. Or feels really under the weather. Then he is resting.
Date Nights
There isn't really anywhere romantic for you two to go other than hanging around in the high places. Your date nights consist of taking care of the Nameless Road children or spending the night looking at the stars. Your dinner time is spent with the other Rude Boys and or Lala.
Getting Hurt (Him)
You worry enough about him as it is, considering how sick he is and how fighting also effects his condition. The others usually take care of him while Lala takes you with her, this is by his request.
Getting Hurt (You)
If it's from someone who isn't in Nameless Road, he typically doesn't tell anyone to hunt the person down but instead requests the help from the others (Cobra, Murayama, or Rocky (it's usually Rocky)) and takes the day to spend with you. If it's from someone who is in Nameless City (as in was naturally born there) he will have the others get the person. He is a forgiving person so he'll give them a warning and that is shouldn't happen again.
Wearing a skirt that is too short (or a dress)
If he isn't with you, the other Rude Boys (Mainly P and Takeshi) will walk with you, one of them giving you their jacket. If he is, he's walking behind you to make sure that his jacket isn't short either. He does love when you wear clothes that you're comfortable in, he just doesn't like it when others stare for creepy reasons.
Jealous
Not the jealous type, will feel a tinge of jealousy but he knows you are capable of handling yourself.
Tumblr media
Takeshi | "Beat Takeshi"
Tumblr media
Skin Care
"This won't take long, right?" He mumbles, still wanting to get to Smoky's grave in time. You nod, rubbing the scrub into his skin. His hands placed on both sides of your hips, him looking up at you.
Public Affection
He's very affectionate in private, but in public he minimalizes his affection. This doesn't have anything to do with being manly, but it has something to do with the fact that usually by the time he's running around with the others, he's already covered in dirt.
Date Nights
Just like Smoky, except instead of being around the Nameless Road children, he usually takes you to a high area to cuddle and watch the stars.
Getting Hurt (Him)
Even though he gets hurt, he takes good enough care of himself that he usually doesn't mention it because he forgets or is too busy.
Getting Hurt (You)
Best believe this man will bring up to P. In return, P and the others will go looking for whoever it was and Takeshi will stay with you to make sure you're doing okay. He worries about you even if he sometimes doesn't show it.
Wearing a skirt that is too short (or a dress)
The only and last time you wore a dress that was too short was the time that Takeshi got a jacket that was long enough to help cover your bum. You still wear skirts and dresses but you always wear the jacket.
Jealous
Definitely the jealous type, he'll boast about how you're his girl and how you're beautiful. If that isn't enough, he will take you away from the person and be super close to you.
Tumblr media
Hyuga | Norihisa Hyuga
Tumblr media
Skin Care
"No." He pushes away the idea of doing your skin care routine, he would like to do it but he does not want you to know that. "Fine then, grumpy." You grumble as you walk back into the bathroom. That was enough to get him to get up and do it with you. Playing it off as though he hates it, when in reality he really enjoys it.
Public Affection
You best bet this man will refuse to show you any form of affection in public, and even in private his affection is quite shit. It isn't that he doesn't love you, it's that he doesn't know how to show it quite yet. His way of showing you affection is getting you all types of gifts, which are usually small (candles, makeup (he so fucks this up), clothes, and sometimes jewelry).
Date Nights
Your date nights are spent at restaurants, but 80% of the time he has the other Daruma Ikka members there, and if they aren't there then you actually spend time alone. The rare date nights are where you both stay in and do shit together.
Getting Hurt (Him)
Actually doesn't care to tell you or bother asking you to help him. It's not about being manly, well it partially is, but its also because he doesn't want you to see him when he's like this. He cares for you.
Getting Hurt (You)
Let's be brutally honest, he'll act as if he doesn't care but in secret he gets his right hand men to hunt and possibly kill the person who hurt you.
Wearing a skirt thats too short (or a dress)
He doesn't really care if anyone is staring because he wants to flaunt you. Granted the people that cat call you annoy him, he's too proud that he landed you to really give a shit.
Jealous
This mf.. if someone is getting too close or touchy feely with you, he'd act as if it didn't bother him but he's secretly grabbing you and holding you close. Not in the affectionate way, more so of in the "she's mine" way.

Valentine’s Day Lineup: 2/13
“I Love You” (Smoky x Reader)
Tumblr media
About a dozen or so Nameless residents sat around the makeshift bonfire, nothing more than a metal box filled with some wood and various other scrap pieces that would provide for good lighting material. Takeshi had managed to score a bag of multi-flavored marshmallows from somewhere, and you all took turns between three skewers and toasting the fluffy marshmallows to gooey perfection. P was telling an audacious story about rescuing some woman from Doubt. None of you were really too sure if you believed his tale, but it was a fun listen nonetheless.
To your left sat Smoky, quiet and solemn as ever, content enough in listening to the flow of conversation between his friends. He liked seeing the way they smiled and laughed as they conversed, you knew; it brought him peace to see his family happy together.
He must have felt your gaze on him, him turning your way to catch you staring. If it was anyone else you might have been embarrassed, but not with Smoky. It seemed he was incapable of judging you as anything other than the incarnate of all light and goodness within his life. Truly, you didn’t know what you did to deserve a man like him.
He smiled at you, and you could tell he was thinking something similar. Quietly, he said something to you, but it went unheard over Yu’s loud guffawing over some corny joke that P must have told.
“What was that?” You asked, leaning in closer to hopefully hear him better. Smoky beckoned you closer with a small nod, so you leaned in even closer.
Smoky brought his lips to your ear, close enough that you could feel a wisp of his breath tickle at your neck. “I said,” he murmured. “I love you.” He parted from you with a chaste kiss to your jaw. God, lucky wasn’t even enough to describe it.

Children of the Moon: Cobra x Reader
Tumblr media
Pairing: Cobra x fem!reader
Word Count: 1k
Genre: sickening fluff, slice of life, with a hint of smut if you squint your eyes.
Summary: You remember Aristophanes's origins of love on your date with Cobra. On your third date at the beach, you come to the realization that Hina Junpei is your missing other half.
Tagline: ..'And the children of the moon was like a fork shoved on a spoon; they were part sun, part earth, part daughter, part son..-"Origin of Love" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
A/N: feeling quite soft lately. Might do something similar with the other characters if I'm up for it.
***
A philosopher named Aristophanes spoke at Plato’s symposium one night where he described the human need to seek an ‘other half’. He said that there’d once been three sexes: the women who came from earth, the men who came from the sun, and the figure of both sexes who came from the moon. They looked rather funny, since they resembled two people stuck into one body with eight limbs and two faces on one skull. They walked backwards, forwards, and ran cartwheels. Being powerful beings, he said, they devised a plan to take on the gods in heaven. Having heard this, in response, Zeus used a thunderbolt to split the humans in two. This is where the concept of looking for one’s ‘other half’ came from.
It was this story that came to mind when you and Junpei sat beside the ocean that night. Your third date since meeting, you’d both taken a ride on his motorcycle to the seaside. The vast expanse of water glittering in the setting sun mesmerized you; it made for a glorious end of a nice day out. You shared a small picnic in the sand, his bike parked nearby, and watched the sunset together. Conversation and laughter flowed easily between the both of you; two people who normally remained quiet did not stop talking when together. Junpei, or Cobra as people called him, didn’t socialize as much as he once did; you’d never been the sociable type, being introverted and not very talkative. You both enjoyed the quiet from time to time; you sometimes spent time together in silence, reading and occasionally breaking the silence to speak. Nobody ever made you feel comfortable in quietness except Junpei. Sitting in the quiet with him brought on this soft, warm comfort you’d never experienced before.
Sitting on the blanket beside him, you looked away from the sun to look at him. The yellow and orange rays of light shined on his handsome face and in his golden hair. You saw the tranquility written on his face, the reflective contemplation he sometimes fell into in the silence. Yes, that is a face you wouldn’t mind sharing a head with. You pictured the two of you attached like the humans in Aristophanes’s story; the androgynous child of the moon, who was both man and woman together. You saw this strange figure sitting where you did, reading and talking as the sun set. You’d be both enjoying each other’s time when thunderbolts came down from the heavens like knives, severing you from Junpei forever. The creative person inside you painted an image of you and Junpei having just been separated, blood dripping from the horrific gash down your backs and tears falling from your cheeks in sobs. That realization that you’re forever parted would hit you both, and you’d sob for ages. You knew you’d be so upset by this unfair punishment that you’d continue searching for him, your other half, in defiance. You’d love and admire him over any god in the sky. Because, while you watched Junpei eat a grape as he leaned back, you knew this was your other half.
Your soulmate, even.
Your mother once told you that finding your soulmate is dangerous. When you asked her why, she said, “Because once your souls have found each other, they will never let go. No matter how many lifetimes you live, your souls will always remember finding one another.” Your soul was in such danger now. You’ve found Junpei, and you knew you’d never let him go.
He caught you staring, and a smile broke his face, “What?”
“Nothing,” you shook your head, giving an embarrassed laugh.
“Like what you see, huh?” he teased.
Junpei rarely teased anymore, from what Yamato told you. The tragedies he’d faced in life, the regrets he carried with him, dragged down the bright, playful person he’d once been. To see him smile and inch closer to you this way made you happy. You liked thinking you made him happy too. Happiness became such an alien feeling to both of you, you’re not sure when you’re truly feeling it. Yet, being alone in this beautiful place with Junpei, perhaps you felt it now.
He leaned over the small spread between you and pecked your lips. His kiss. Oh, you loved his kisses. You’d kissed other men before, and while you enjoyed them, Junpei’s kisses felt special. While they’re sometimes fueled with lustful passion, he could also kiss you with comforting whispers and sweet words. He kissed you with reassurances during uncertain times; he kissed you with gentleness after rough days. Even one taste of his lips felt like finding familiarity after decades of being deprived; as if you’re traveling in a foreign country and tasted food from home. You thought of other men you’d kissed, and you did not find yourself yearning for them like Junpei’s. Whenever you kissed, it simply felt right.
Yes, this child of the moon would search the entire universe for this man.
“I love you.”
The three words slipped from you subconsciously, filling the silence and remaining there between you. Once you realized you’d said them, you froze in worry. What if Junpei didn’t feel the same? What if he does not crave your love the way you do for his? What if he is not your other half, and you shouldn’t put so much thought into a silly story? For several seconds, neither of you spoke. Junpei’s smile disappeared and he surveyed your face. He searched for something, and you worried what realization he might find.
“You don’t feel the same,” you said softly, doing your best to keep back the lump in your throat. “It’s…It’s okay if you don’t. I didn’t mean to…It’s okay, but I had to tell you. If you don’t feel the same, I won’t bring it up ever again and we can go back to being whatever it is we are right now.” You’d ruined it. You’d ruined everything.
“YN…” he said your name so gently; his deep voice always sent shivers down your spine in these moments, “How could I not feel the same?”
“Huh?”
He sat up right, cupping your cheek and said, “You make me feel things I’d never felt with another woman before. Sure, I loved other girls in my life, but not like I do with you. With you, YN, it feels so much deeper and…and familiar? It feels like I’d loved you before I even met you. It’s like if we’d met once before a long time ago, and only just now I remembered that I loved you.”
“Like, you’d been waiting for me to turn up? To find me again?” you asked, hope in your voice.
“Yes,” he nodded. “Yeah, exactly like that.” He then said, “Whenever I’m with you, it doesn’t feel awkward or wrong in any way. It feels natural. It feels normal to me. It’s a good feeling. You make me feel like I can be myself again.” He kissed you again, a bit more deeply, “When I fight, I don’t just fight for Sannoh. I fight for you too. I’d fight anyone who tried to take you from me, who tried to hurt you. It’s like finding a thing you’d lost and never wanting to let it go again.”
Tears filled your eyes, and you sniffled. He pulled you into his lap, his warm arms wrapping around you and yours around him. “Junpei, I feel the exact same way,” you said, your forehead pressed to his, “Down to every single word.”
“I love you, YN,” he said, replying to your own three word statement.
You kissed him again, this time more passionately. The both of you stayed there in the sand, the sun lowering further and further as you shared words of love. You each bared your souls to one another as night crept over the skies above. The sun’s warmth faded in the arrival of the moon’s chill by the time you decided to leave. On the way home, you couldn’t help holding Junpei particularly tight. You held him as if you’re trying to stick yourselves back together, but that didn’t happen until you arrived at his place.
Where you shed off each other’s clothes and slipped into his bed Your naked flesh pressed against his, you both got as close to being shoved back together as you could. Junpei’s length filled you, and your legs went around his waist to keep him there. Complete euphoria and longing grew between the both of you. Nothing smutty or dirty happened. No hair pulling, biting or filthy words were exchanged. You did not release each other even when that blissful climax arrived, because being separated sounded foolish now. You both fell asleep in each other’s arms, as you’d meant to be.
As the mythical children of the moon once did.
***
A/N: thanks for reading this little blurb of mine lol been having really deep feels lately and this came out. Also, rewatched Hedwig and the Angry Inch too lmao Hope you enjoyed this <3

Shoji Sameoka x OyaHigh!Reader
a/n: Okayy, i tried smth different but probably later i will write a fic about Shoji again xjkekd CAUSE HE IS FCKN AMAZING .... I hope you like it guys <3
Sorry for the grammer or spelling mistakes.English is not my main language so...
Thank you and love you 🥰
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Shoji Sameoka, was an unknown man who nobody can understand whats going on inside his head.Anyone could see his scary facial expression when they looked at him.But he never liked unnecessary fights. He just wanted to protect his friends.
Shoji was clever. He knew immediately what a punk Senomon's leader was and was using everyone. He also knew that an alliance with Kamasaka could not be made.He never trusts anyone.
Shoji was not a very friendly person. He was generally quiet and cold-blooded.But when he didn't like something, he wasn't afraid to say it.
Shoji was an interesting person. He didn't show his feelings most of the time.He was cool and calm.No one could know what he was thinking.
Shoji was a reliable person. He would do anything for the ones he loves. He would get into every fight for his friends.
Shoji knew himself well.Until that day...
Shoji didn't even understand what he was thinking or feeling for a while. He wasn't sure of anything. He couldn't think clearly. But there were some things he was sure of.
Shoji knew very well when he started to feel confused. It all started with the hunt for Oya High. And Shoji never expected that everything would go so wrong that day.
Shoji had heard that there was a girl at Oya High, but he was very uncomfortable with the thought. He didn't want to hurt a girl. But he knew that those around him didn't care.
Shoji was surprised to hear that the young girl was in Todoroki Faction, but he knew that this was an advantage, because he knew that they would hunt Todoroki and his friends.
Shoji didn't expect the young girl to be there the day they hunted Tsuji and Shibaman. He didn't know that their gazes would meet when the other two jumped off the bus.
Shoji knew immediately that the young girl was not trying to escape when she started running, but that she wanted to drag some of the boys after her. But he still followed.
Shoji hadn't seen many surprising things in his life. But he didn't really expect the girl he was watching from behind a wall to knock down anyone who chased after her.
Shoji thought love at first sight was a bullshit. But he couldn't forget the sharp gaze and eyes he saw as she walked away that day.And he couldn't stop thinking about her.
Shoji wasn't sure about many things, but he was so sure that the girl who made his heart beat so fast would turn his life upside down.
Shoji wasn't stupid. But he couldn't stop himself from doing stupid things.Just like he did that day, when Todoroki and that girl came to the junkyard.
Shoji wasnt the type who usually talks much, but when he said that they needed another witness that day and asked the young girl to stay to watch the fight, he seemed quite talkative.
Shoji wasn't a grateful person for many things. But that day, he was grateful to be able to see that girl again and learn her name. And he didn't think any name sounded so good.
Shoji never believed in fate and coincidences. Two weeks later, when he saw the young girl fighting with a large group in a street again, he could not believe that he wanted to help her.
Shoji favored keeping his enemies at a distance. But he had always wanted to keep this girl close to him, whom he had beaten his friends with.
Shoji wasn't the type to do things he thought he would never do and smile when unexpected things happened. But he thought his life had changed that day.
Shoji Sameoka had never thought that he would feel at peace lying on the knees of a girl he once thought was his enemy. But while all these thoughts were running through his mind, he looked at the face of the girl who was watching the sky and smiled.
Shoji Sameoka, was a weird person. But it wasn't just his feelings or actions that made him weird.  Because his current girlfriend was just as weird as he was.
And Shoji, liked to be weird together...

How would Murayama and hyuga treat the girl they like? can you write something about it?
Tumblr media
A/N: hi dear request, thank you for requesting. I’ll do just Murayama since I’m not sure about Hyuga’s character that much and I’m worried that it won’t be as good so am just going to try and do Murayama, hope you understand, okay onto the fic
I feel that the girl he like is most definitely someone that is soft yet non-judgemental because she would be the person that would help Murayama when she saw him suddenly on the ground, all bloody after a fight
The girl would most probably wait until Murayama wakes up before she goes on her way
When Murayama does wake up, he would be so confused about this random girl sitting right next to his bed
Lowkey thinks that this girl is trying to collect some sort of debt but when he does find out that the girl was just helping him, man would be so confused yet instinctively felt the need to get to know the girl
Like honestly, I feel that this man would be so confused about what he felt when he first saw the girl he liked
Murayama would be like, “What is this feeling? It’s like I want to get to know her more”
The next time Murayama meet the girl was when he was going around town and saw her almost getting mobbed by some guys from a different school
Of course, Murayama didn’t think twice to beat those guys for fun (but also because he couldn’t stand anyone wanting to hurt someone as sweet as the girl)
Would probably be the type of ‘you can not hate this girl no matter what’
When the guys finally left the scene, Murayama would make sure if you were alright or if you had any scars at all
When you shook your head, relief washed over Murayama and before he could say anything further, you invited him to go out and have dinner
“C’mon, let’s go! It’s my treat for saving me” you exclaimed, practically grabbing his arm and rushing to one of your favourite restaurants
Though reluctant, Murayama couldn’t say no to your cheerful self and oblige to follow you like a lost puppy
Throughout dinner, both Murayama and the girl would talk just about everything and while Murayama was worried on what she would think of him being a gang leader, she actually finds it interesting and thinks that he’s cool for standing up for his school
“so you don’t think that I’m a good-for-nothing dummy?” Murayama asked
“you were never a dummy you know. You’re just misunderstood and that’s something I want to change because I know that you are definitely one of the sweetest person that I have ever met”
And well, let’s say that ever since that dinner, Murayama finally realized that he actually felt something towards another person which was love
A/N: hope that you enjoy this little one-shot of Murayama with the girl he likes and if there are any grammar mistake, please forgive me since I didn't have time to proofread :') stay safe and happy xoxo vinet

A brother's secret is another's nightmare
Tumblr media
A little note before we get into the actual fic, I am not the best at writing, my spelling is shit (thanks dyslexia) and I have the mouth of a sailor.. Also, I will probobly end up with veryyyy Out of Character Yasushi and Binzo but it's whatever 🤷🏻‍♂ hopefully you enjoy it non the less.
Sumary: Binzo's secret twin brother who no one really knows about is friends with Oya, and gets set up on a blind date with his crush by said crush's bestie and eventually all chaos ensues, ala high and low's typical fashion
Warnings: Extreamly terrible writing, swearing, its a high and low fic so violence and language are kinda inevitable. I use a random name i got from google for the main character, please don't be mad lol
______________
Binzo has always been fiercely protective of his secret twin brother, that much was for sure...But the twin knew that his brother would be so absorbed in his affairs with the Suzuran's Raho faction, he will never find out about his own hidden life, right?
The young teen boy, Binzo's secret brother named Yuri had long stayed a secret, his brother knew everything about him and wanted to protect the fragile seeming boy, but because of his position in the Raho faction at Suzuran, he had not been around as often, and getting bored easily, Yuri took to making friends with other boys his age, one being Fujio of Oya and then the others of oya too. Two boys in particular became close to him, Kyoshi and Yasushi, becoming inseparable as a trio, and soon enough the ladder of the two found himself crushing on the mysterious boy, named Yuri.
His brother thought him to hide who he was related to well, so he knew being anywhere near Oya as a rival's brother would not work well, but when he was with them, he didn't even remember who his brother was, or the school he attended. He simply was him and falling hard for Yasushi...which considering Kyoshi knew pretty much everything about his partner in crime, fellow chaos gremlin and brother from another mother, he knew both boys had fallen for each other over the span of a few months. Todoroki and the others soon would grow annoyed with the two trying to flirt but backing away with it as if the other wasn't just as shamelessly in love with them too. Kyoshi planned with Jamuo to set up the head strong couple on a blind date, one where you would think nothing could go wrong, fool proof in the eyes of the excited Oya gang's most excited.
Yuri approaches a beautiful cherry blossom tree, one by a body of water that glimmered in the light, a little garden with a pond that had frogs singing softly through the warm breeze. Yasushi had followed a lit path to a blanket, soon meeting up for what both boys had thought was a group hang out, though it seemed fancy in the eyes of the two but none the less brushed off as an attempt at a high school friend night that was made to be affordable but still look nice.
"Are we the only ones showing?" Yuri breaks the silence of the shy couple after reading a simple text from Jamuo to have 'fun' on 'the date'..
"It appears to be that way.. but they are missing out on some really good food!" The blonde who tends to seem sour to untrained friend eyes said to the other teen, his dark red dyed hair shone like a dim and dark halo. "But I think we were just set up... On what would be called a blind date." The chuckle Yasushi let fall from his slightly chapped lips causing butterflies to fall into Yuri's stomach as he swept dark red velvet locks from his face with a bobby pin that he always carried with him.
As the two teens one oya, one secret suzuraun spoke softly, blushing, laughing and behaving like a couple, another teen, also from Suzuraun looked on in disbelief, he knew his twin had tried to follow his orders, protecting Yuri from being a target for opposing school gangs, but he had no clue his younger by five minuets brother was friends with Oya. But he knew he would be able to handle himself in a fight, taught by Binzo himself to survive one if absolutely needed. He left not thinking much of it, and missed something in the distance that would for sure have caused his blood to boil, maybe even start an all out war between schools.
"Yuri, I really really like you. As more than a friend. And tonight was wonderful, we both needed it more than I thought, away from everyone else, away from the chaos for a few hours. Will you be my boyfriend officially?" This seemed like the first time Yasushi had ever been so anxious, not something he did often, and of course his heart in his ears made him worry that the other boy could hear his pulse loud and clear in the soft moonlight.
"Of course 'Shi, I love you with all my heart, I have for a while now. As silly as it sounds, my worries of it being one sided only are just subsiding, I am glad you like me too." Red velvet hair tickled the blonde's face as the secret twin of Binzo leaned in and kissed a rival of his own twin, blood rushing adrenaline through him as he did, now his boyfriend, and he knew this would have to be his one and only best kept secret from his protective zombie fighter of a brother. The kiss sent both boys off into the world of bliss, hands intertwining with a delicate care, love the only emotion surging through the crisp spring nightfall air.
A couple attached at the hip was now a common sight at Oya, and though no one other than Kyoshi said it, they were all glad the two had finally gotten together, Todoroki himself seemed to let out a breath of relief when he laid eyes on the hands holding onto one another that belonged to Yasushi and Yuri, though he kept it to himself, he knew it would balance the energy of the erratic blonde before him.
Not too long later, Oya and Suzuraun united to fight, and while Yuri had stayed out of it all, he had rushed to pack a big duffle bag of first aid, knowing that his love would be battered pretty well, and the last time it had happened, the dark red haired boy had let his sobs free, his fear as he kissed his lover's lips and tried to be ever gentle with him, causing him to vow he would always come through with as much as he could to help him from then on after a particularly hard battle.
Long forgotten were the thoughts about his brother having been dispelled from his mind, not thinking he would be there as he rushed to where he knew his darling blonde devilish angel would be, the fight had clearly been over, bodies groaning in pain on the ground, the boy carefully stepping to avoid them but looking for a mop of blonde hair tied up on one side into small braids that only went half way down the side of his head, cascading into a soft flow of sandy clouds.
"YASUSHI!!" Yuri scurries to his partner, opening the bag he brought and pulling him to sit by him on a stack of mats he had formed in the gym to help be more comfortable for the other. "Fucking hell, you look like you got the shit beat out of you with a fucking iron fist darling." Pouts the hidden twin, his frown making his adoring boyfriend let out a pained chuckle as he holds his middle, "I am ok baby boy, just a little run down, nothing I can't handle." Yasushi promises, missing Binzo having an alarmed look on his face as he sees his brother patching up an oya, the same one he was with months earlier in the garden, and then to his horror kissing Yasushi, being careful of the split lip and blood drying on in flaky cakes of smeared crimson. "Babe, you had previous injuries, its only natural I worry." Yuri sighs, remembering the fear he felt when he saw a haggard Kyoshi and a not much better Yasushi.
"WHAT IN THE FUCK IS THIS MIYAUCHI YURI?!?!" Binzo roars, causing his twin to jump and all of the occupants of the gym to fall silent, non of them expecting a relative to Binzo in their midst.
"You said you wanted no one to know we were twins right? This was me being not your twin, blending in and falling hopelessly in love with my boyfriend." Yuri says, anger laced in his tone that his brother would dare cause a scene, especially while he was tending to wounds of someone from the fight. "Wait-wait wait..."Tusksaka sais, befuddled by the sudden commotion that all were watching with pure shock, "Yuri is your twin? Heads up, Yasushi and Yuri have been dating for months, sooooo um... yeah, they are together and you will have to buck it up. We all love your brother, and he too is friends with Fujio, much like Raho himself."
"HOW DID WE NOT KNOW HE HAD A TWIN??" Mercy says, he sounded alarmed, surprised and at the same time impressed as his voice cut through the thick tension that hung upon the air, like a thick blanket in winter.
"I had him keep it hidden to protect him, told him to act normal because I didn't want him a target, but I also taught him to fight for emergencies, he has a mean right hand hook, I have to say. But I worried he would be a target, one that could be avoided, so I hid him...Had I known about this...."Binzo feels the air deflate from his lungs, letting out a sigh, "Hurt my brother and you will have to pay."
Yuri hears his twin grumble as he walks away, hand running though his crazy hair, his signiture look of his own.
"Sorry you had to find out like this and see him blow up." Yuri whispers, laying his head on Yasushi's shoulder as he felt his partner wrap his slender arm around his waist, something the two often did on Oya's rooftop on a sunny day.
"All that matters is that I love you." Yasushi says softly, breaking his normal tough guy act long enough to kiss his head and then glare at the crowd, "What the hell do you all think ya are fucking looking at??"
This was only the start of something bigger, a love for the ages.
A/N: Soooo.... first high and low fic in the books.. I hope it was ok, but I am super proud of it because I don't Know if I have ever willingly written something so long before in my life. I apologize for all of the out of character moments, but I just felt the need for fluffy goodness with a small pinch of angst.

Who owns you?(part one!)
Pairings: Mafia N.Yuta x female Reader!
→warnings: Humiliation, degradation, Slut shaming, slight violence, Ragging & suggestive.
→characters: N.Yuta(Suzaki Ryo),Reader,Kohei,Tsukasa(Oya High) and others.
→taggings: @sashe-xhelse-blog @elviinwonderland @iraa567 @nuttie-nv-blog @anthropologymajorkpopmultistan @seventhcallisto others whom I couldn’t tag as tumblr hid their acc from mentioning!(sorry!)
P.s: This is based on his role Suzaki Ryo played on High and low the worst X. A quick easy summery. There he played as the right hand of Kohei, the current leader of Senomon high school. Suzaki Ryo,ex leader of Nami high and a third year student who got shifted then into Senomon high school and made everyone obeyed Kohei as their leader. The said to be the puppet of Kohei Amagai.
Tumblr media
You always hated Kohei, the current leader of Senomon high. He was such a leader who couldn’t even have his own grip on all the gangs running around in Senomon. He was nothing without his right hand,Nakamoto Yuta. No,the puppet. You hated both. Specially the latter. Why on earth would you let a person commanding you as if you were his slave when you, yourself was far more capable than he already was.
Everyone feared him, the Nakamoto Yuta. The fear of him made people obey Kohei. He was always standing like a shield around Kohei. These two hot yet cold men. Specially Nakamoto Yuta. But it was none of your concern. You were just a first year fresher in Senomon high while residing in a devastated alley of Senomon. You had no time crushing over him like your classmates, friends, neighbours or other girls. You had a younger spoiled brother and a sick grandma at home to worry about. Two mouths to feed alongside yours.
You rolled your eyes seeing Kohei with his puppet, Nakamoto walking their way towards the main gate. You cringed at the sight.
You still remember the very first day of your first year here at Senomon High. All of you were forced to line up in front of this mafia group on the rooftop of this campus. All of you were shaking in fear. All heads down. Kohei stopped in front of you, checking you from head to toe just like he did to the previous girls.
He grabbed your wrist to pull you forward. "What about this chick Nakamoto?Do you like this one?" He asked looking at his friend.
You tried to pull out your wrist out of his grip,"What are you doing! Let go!" Only making Kohei tightening his grip. You winched in pain gritting your teeth at him.
"Wow,this chick speaks, Nakamoto!"
You cried out as he twisted the wrist,"ple-please it hurts! I'm-i'm sorry" You pleaded thinking you might have angered the leader by speaking up. You should have just shut your mouth like the other girls who were slutshamed before you.
"Previous one seemed a slut. You want this one? Or the previous? I dont think you like leftovers, dude" Your ears turned red in embarrassment.
"Or maybe you like leftovers? But you can slut this up behind the close doors, huh? That's more fun!" he laughed. You bit your lip in order to suppress your tears falling out. None ever talked to you like this.
"You're not going to go whoring around like your classmates, bitch?" you flinched in fear. He grabbed your chin making you look at him,
"Will you be a good slut for my friend?" you shut your eyes in anger & embarrassment. You didn't even dare to look at the man named Nakamoto as you already felthim staring at you. Penetrating you down with his stare as if claiming his thing with his own eyes.
"Answer me,slut!"
"ye-yess"
You scoffed hearing two girls whispering to "Nakamoto is so hot!" You looked at the person. He looks the same. Handsome. Just like the first day. Red suited him. Everything suited him..
You were kind of glad that he didn't utter a single word during and after that day. But you always felt a stare haunting you whenever he would pass by. Maybe this was just a delusion of yours. Maybe you were so traumatised with the event that your mind kept making scenarios about this. You looked at the group in awe.
Yeah,It was your chance to confirm your delusion for real.
Your fingers nervously reaching the white silver necklace around your neck when your eyes opted up to look at him. You saw him paused in his track. Few feets away from you. Staring directly into your eyes. You gulped down when he didn't even move his eyes when he got caught red handed. You didn't how long you stared into his cold eyes before looking down in embarrassment. You huffed when he resumed to follow Kohei inside the campus giving you one final look.
This was not your delusion. You were mind was not making up things.
He had his stare for you.
Tumblr media
You dropped your pen on the table. Life was already hard. And these studies were making it harder. But at last you finished your studies for today. You felt sleepy. You looked at the wall clock.
2.00 am. Time to sleep.
You tidied your night dress and yawned. You looked at the open windows of your room. You decided to close them before you plopped yourself on the bed. You got up to shut the windows. You reached out to your window but your hand froze. You gasped out loud. Your eyes fixated on the person across the road. What the hell!
Nakamoto Yuta.. standing there.
Leaning against the lamp post opposite to your house. His eyes towards your room. Your fingers instinctively pulling down the hem of your night dress that was already covering you enough. You rushed out downstairs wrapping up a shawl against your upper body to make it more civilised.
"Wha-what are you doing here?" you asked almost whispering while marching towards him. His eyes observed every single of your moves.
"You-you just can't stand here at midnight! I-I live in a society and have reputation to worry unlike you..and-and there are some unannounced rul-" you paused when he just lazily looked away as if you were stuttering some boring lectures.
"Nakamoto.. There. are. some. rules. You just can't stand in front of a-in front of a marriageable woman's house at such hours!" You hissed out looking around. Afraid of any of your neighbour watching you in this situation. Then spreading rumors about you. This side of Senomon was far away from the so called western progression.
You did care about your reputation. Your grandma's reputation. You didn't want to get involved in rumors. Specially with the man standing in front of you.
He tilted his head towards you this time. "Then why you as a marriageable woman just in a night dress standing in front of a profitable bachelor like me in such late hours, huh? Does it count. .."
he trailed taking a step towards you," does it count in the unannounced rules of your society where you live in Y/N?" he spoke huskily looking at you. Your cheeks turned red in embarrassment.
" You-jus-just leave.." You muttered under your breath and rushed inside your house locking the door behind. You let your body leaned against the wooden door. This was the first time this man had ever spoke to you and gave you second hand embarrassment on spot.
You ran in front of the mirror of your room to check your attire. You furrowed looking at your reflection. Your satin night dress reaching below your knee and the shawl covering your blossom perfectly. Though your hair was messy, you looked appropriate.
The audacity of this man!
You walked up to the window slowly to check if he was still standing there. You peeped behind the curtain. He was now leaning his back against the lamp post more while brushing his hair off his forehead. His eyes met your curious ones which were glistening behind the white curtains. You grunted as you got caught. His lips curved upwards in satisfaction when you shut the window with a thump on his face.
A cocky bastard.
Tumblr media
It had been hell of two weeks since the Nakamoto Yuta stood in front of your house. This was the first time and hopefully the last time also. He left that night after some time but also snatched your sleeps with him.
"What does he think of himself!" You murmured recalling the event while wiping the counter with the mop. You still couldn’t believe that man had the audacity to say something unwarranted and unwanted thing on your face. In front of your house.
"You still thinking about that red suited hot guy?" the old woman, the owner of the cafe you worked asked sitting on the cash table.
"It's just that.. Had some bad experience with that group and can't tolerate them" You said putting the mop behind the counter. You had been ragged by them. Why would you like them? And who liked them anyway? The old woman was about to say something when the bell chirped in.
You were about to welcome the guest with a smile. You furrowed,"tsukasa?" The blonde handsome man walked up to the counter with a smile,"Hey Y/N..um.." he looked at the menu card and continued, "I'd like to order two cappuccino.. Mind me join there?" he asked out pointing a table in the middle. You looked at your owner for her approval as you were in the middle of your shift.
He saw your hesitation so quickly added," Of course,I'm paying for both and in double..if you excuse her for a moment.." the old woman's eyes beamed hearing the word 'double'.
You were both happy and confused seeing Tsukasa here. You met him last spring at Oya High when you went to a hospital there for your grandma's surgery. He happened to be the right hand and best friend of Fujio, the leader of Oya High. The most powerful house and region. He was so helpful despite his position. He was kind and sweet. Always lending a hand whenever you needed one. That was how your friendship bloomed on a spring day.
"So why are you suddenly out of your cave of Oya high,hm?" You asked putting the two mugs on the table and took your seat across him.
"Things are obviously different now.." he replied taking his mug with a quick 'thanks'.
"I'm actually shocked seeing you here. No offense!" You tried to joke out, eased out yourself.
He smiled," It's just I was passing so decided to stop by.. By the way yo-" you cut him off. You pointed the scar on his forehead, "You again caught into new fight?"
He touched the scar and laughed out casually,"Oh!That? Old fight.. Your senomon pride Nakamoto's doings. He is better than we thought."
Suddenly the bell chirped in again and you both saw Kohei followed by Nakamoto and three other men entering the cafe. Nakamoto's eyes instantly found his way towards you and tsukasa. His gaze stiffened. You cautiously saw them shooing around customers off a table on centre. Cursing them aloud. Then occupying the table as if it was their own from the beginning. You sighed.
That was so of them.
"Are you gonna stop whoring around and take our orders, bitch?" You heard kohei screamed suddenly. You felt tsukasa tensed. You were quick to grab his hand and mumble a 'please?' You didn’t want you and your friend to get insulted in front of all the customers.
You walked up to them holding the notepad tight to your chest. "Your orders?"
"Orders? We thought you were busy whoring around with guys from different regions. Are you done sleeping with all the men from Senomon?" Kohei asked clicking his tongue. You looked around to find the customers gossiping. Some of them are even pointing at you.
You bit the inside of your cheeks,"wha-what would you like to order sir?"
"Regular!" one of the men replied and threw a menu card at you. You nodded and literally rushed to the counter. You decided to stand there until their order arrived. So,you were now a whore.
A whore.
None even objected. So many people but none stood for you. Whom do you even expect to object anyway?
"How long would it take, huh?" one of them asked clapping and whistling.
"Everything takes time, kids." your owner replied pushing up her glass. Not bothered about this situation as she was already used to this.
"Or your chef's also whoring around just like your order?" Another shouted making the whole cafe bursted out laughing. You felt Tsukasa's eyes on you. You forced him a smile. Your eyes wandered at the said group. It's just so easy to insult people here and there for them.. Your eyes glanced at Nakamoto who's jaw was tightened. And his hand grabbing the glass so tight that you feared it might break. His eyes fixed on Tsukasa's back.
This looks bad..
Suddenly a tray arrived at the counter. "Serve this to the couple sitting on table 4." your owner ordered. You nodded.
You took a deep breath and walked to the desired table which was past their table. You almost screamed out when Kohei stepped in front of you out of nowhere. "You fuvking serving every single person of this damn cafe except us! WHO FUVKING OWNS THE SENOMON!? " He screamed. You flinched and didnt know that you were backing from him steps by steps.
"I FUCKING OWN THE WHOLE SENOMON AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON IS GETTING THEIR ORDERS BEFORE US!" one of his men screamed adding fuel to Kohei's anger.
"It-it's coming.." you stuttered closing your eyes..gripping the tray harder in fear.
"You Don't understand, do you? I FUVKING OWN THE WHOLE SENOMON!I OWN THIS CAFE,I OWN YOU AND ALL THOSE SLUTS OUT THERE!I will fuvkinh crush that whole place!" He screamed at top of his lungs and pushed the tray out of your hand. You closed your eyes in humiliation when all the foods scattered all over you. The cafe just became pin dropped silent.
"You fuvking have to pay for this you old witch!" he gritted his teeth pointing his finger at your owner. He pushed you with his shoulder while cursing the old lady. You were already so shaken up to the situation that your leg tripped into the chair behind you as his large frame pushed you,you fell onto the floor on your knees. You cried out in pain. You looked back to see Kohei and his goons threatening your owner before leaving the cafe with some kicks on the door.
You looked at the mess on the floor. You grabbed the tray and started putting the leftovers on it. Why did you have to live in Senomon out of all those places? Couldn't it be Oya High?
Your eyes teared up feeling all the eyes on your helpless frame. You bit your lips when you saw a pair of leather shoe stepped in front of you. You looked up to see Nakamoto Yuta towering you with his long frame. Your eyes found his. You didnt know why you even searched empathy in his eyes. But found none to your dismay. Rather he just kept staring at you with his infamous expressionless eyes while putting his hand into his pocket. As if nothing had happened. As if it was the most regular thing you could see in a cafe. You looked away in disgust.
You started putting the foods on the tray. Did he have more insults to come in your way? Then you saw the leftovers near his right shoe. You scooted but paused expecting him to move aside for creating space for you. But he just started tapping the floor with his right heel feeling your eyes on his shoes.
Your eyes teared up in humiliation. You were literally hovering over his shoes and all he did was tapping the floor rhythmically! You could hear some customers talking shits and whistling at you. That was some jokes to them.
Tsukasa rushed towards you,"Y/N are you alright?" Before you could open your mouth to say it was alright, Nakamoto grabbed Tsuaksa's shoulder to stop him reaching you. Then pulled the blonde towards him by his collar.
"Tsukasa..long time no see.." he said clicking his tongue. Tsukasa just scoffed and was about to say something harsh when Nakamoto beat him on that.
"Do your charity in Oya High not here. Don't make me repeat. Leave." Nakamoto breathed out tracing the scar on Tsukasa's face which he had painted a month ago. Last thing you wanted right now was to get your friend involved into internal feuds of Senomon.
You looked at your friend with pleading eyes. He huffed," I will wait for you outside" The blonde spoke and left before sparing a long glance at the red suited guy.
You sighed in relief when Tsukasa left. But your relief didn’t last long when you heard a customer shouted,"Pick up the food slut. You deserved it!"
You looked pathetic and they enjoyed looking a person like this. That was how they live here after all.
You gave your last look at his shoe hovering over it. But he didn't move just kept staring at you. You sighed. What did you even expect from him? Move aside? At least that was how a human treated another out of courtesy. Did you really deserve this? In front of all the customers?
You took a deep breath. That was your job. There was nothing wrong with that. You kept repeating to yourself and extended your fingers to grab the food. His right shoe kicked the food away in a second when you were about to pick it up. Your lips parted in shock. Your eyes shot towards him in disbelief when you heard him,
"He doesn’t own you. I do"
You were speechless already. Your eyes shot widen when he bend down to your level. He tilted his head to the left and licked his lower lip,
"If you want to whore around babe, don't go seeking help in different regions. You know where to find me."
Your ears turned red in embarrassment hearing his words. And the boos from the customers worsened the situation. You looked away angrily. You had enough. Was it that easy to call you whore here and there. You stood up angrily holding the tray. You put the tray on the nearest table with a thump as he also stood up fixing his red jacket.
"I don't manwhore like you and your fucking leader! I'm anything but a whore, you motherfucker manwhore!" You screamed in one go shaking terribly in anger and didnt waste a minute to walk towards the counter. Making the whole cafe silent than ever had.
You heard him chuckle,". You are my whore butterfly the way I can be yours"
You looked back speechless. Was that man flirting with you in front of all the people? Or insulting you or insulting himself? You were paranoid now. Your eyes wander around to see some customers' eyes went wide just like yours.
If you were shock then, now you wanted the whole earth to swallow you up when he started walking towards you. Unbuttoning his red jacket slowly. Exposing his black v neck shirt showing underneath which was giving glimpse of his pale chest. His few hair strands falling on his wide forehead and the way his lips curved into a smirk... You swallowed the lump in your throat.
"That's fuckinh-public indecency!" You heard a teenage girl exclaimed oggling at his physiques shamelessly.
You took few steps backwards hitting the counter. He stopped few inches before you smirking. He just caged you between him and that damn marble counter. You closed your eyes in embarrassment when he lowered his face to match yours. His lips moved to your right earlobe. His hot breath on your face. You could even smell his cologne from there.
You blushed wild when his lips brushed against your earlobe. You swore your breath got hitched. Your fingers gripped the hem of your dress tight with closed eyes. Praying to God to save yourself from this sinful man. Your heart thumping out loud. Fearing it might bursted out inside your ribcage. He chuckled huskily seeing his effects on you. Then he whispered against your earlobe,
"That's how you rebel,sweetheart.. On your own. but I,Nakamoto Yuta,Do own you."

:D For the people who know of the fanfic series The Devils (Kicking Up the Dust + Blood Under The Snow, both by Amras on AO3) I offer you my playlist based off of it!
Some of it are songs directly picked from what Amras listened to while writing the story, some are my own picks. Most of it are sad gloomy songs perfect for the snowy village setting of Blood Under the Snow. There are some more fast paced and lyrics-heavy songs amongst it

Oya High With Girlfriends PT 2
Tumblr media
♥ Pairing | Oya High x Girlfriend ♥ AU? No |
♥ Warnings | :)
M.LIST H&L LIST PT 1
Tumblr media
TSUJI
Tumblr media
♦ FIRST MEET
Tsuji and you met through a shared love in festivals. You guys had been celebrating Year of the Dragon and bumped into each other. Although he was rude at first, he actually seemed to calm down and got into talking with you. (Tsuji love for some of my Tsujihoes)
BONUS: He SO asks you to help him dye his hair because he can't do the back of his head and he doesn't want to ask a professional to do it.
♦ DATES
Usually when festivals happen or when a new book drops at a bookstore / a new game drops. Tsuji loves gaming when you are around and personally loves to read books as long as you are there. (I headcannon this man as a nerd and I will go to my GRAVE with that headcannon!) For festivals, he treats you to all the fun things and will even let you treat him.
♦ FIRST TIME
Surprisingly no mistakes, although because he lives in an apartment complex where the people next door are older, he put a few pillows behind the headboard so you could have peace that whole night. No he didn't forget protection (be safe out there) but he did leave you in hickeys.
♦ ARGUING
You guys argue over games, books, food, and hair. If he doesn't beat you in a video game, he tends to be petty and tries to screw you up. He's a cutie patootie <3
♦ JEALOUS
Literally got jealous of you and Shibaman within seconds of introducing you. For some reason he didn't like how Shibaman was staring at you even though he wasn't doing it weirdly. He was simply looking at you. But he does get jealous. Usually it's a showing off jealous type where he announces to everyone that you are his and nobody elses.
♦ HOW YOU SLEEP TOGETHER

♦ HOW YOU KISS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YASUSHI
Tumblr media
♦ FIRST MEET
"Younger" sister of Kiyoshi. Yasushi and you had gotten along when Kiyoshi forgot to tell you that he had a friend over. Despite Yasushi's childishness, you found him funny. Thus began your funny little relationship.
♦ DATES
Cuddle dates. He refuses to take you to restaurants and cafes, and instead chooses at home dates aka cuddle and movie time. He buys the snacks of course. He's definitely a bottom because that boy loves sleeping on top of you or being the little spoon.
♦ FIRST TIME
Your first time with Yasushi lead to accidentally forgetting when Kiyoshi gets home and him walking in on you two. He didn't know at that time that it was Yasushi in your bed and not some random guy and was ready to beat the shit out of him. He still did just not as bad as he would have if it was a Suzuran or Housen person.
♦ ARGUING
Sometimes Yasushi's psychopathic tendencies tends to get in the way so he does things without realizing. Which is also why arguments are common. Kiyoshi is your middleman so usually he resolves things between you two. He doesn't mind, he just likes when you guys argue.
♦ JEALOUS
Woooo, jealous little baby! He doesn't like how close the other guys get to you and he will require the help of your older brother to teach a lesson to the guy or guys who were hitting on you. Especially if you said stop or you didn't like it beforehand.
♦ HOW YOU SLEEP TOGETHER

NAKAG☺SHI
Tumblr media
♦ FIRST MEET
He was clashing with Kiyoshi and Yasushi when you walked by, he had almost tripped you by sending one of them flying through the window of the school. You were on your way to see Nakaoka as he still needed to sign a paper. He didn't apologize until his brother smacked him upside the head. He had no choice but to apologize profusely.
♦ DATES
Yeaaaah, you don't really have dates. He just takes you with his clan to a hot spot where you and him sit closer and farther away from the others. He usually spends that time, giving other dirty looks but holding your hand.
♦ FIRST TIME
He made SURE that his brother would be out of the house when he invited you over, he just didn't think it would be your first time as a couple. Well you guys had a bit of Sake while hanging out and drunkenly fucked. When you woke up in his arms, your top and bra missing, you were so confused.
♦ ARGUING
Arguments aren't rare but you both hate doing that. He prefers to fight at school and not in his relationship with you. But he ends up ranting to Nakaoka when he doesn't know what to do to make something up to you such as accidentally ghosting you on your date.
♦ JEALOUS
He doesn't get jealous much rather girls are swooning over him weirdly. He stays faithful though and shoos them away, even if its mean shooing. He loves you.

Valentine’s Day Lineup: 2/9
Asking You Out (Binzo x Reader)
Tumblr media
“Huh?” You nearly dropped the canned drink in your hand as you looked into those earnest, imploring eyes of his. You had just exited the convenience store when you bumped into Binzo, and before you even had a chance to greet him he was blurting out asking you on a date. Truly, he was one of the greatest enigmas you had ever met. The two of you had been casually chatting after meeting on the subway several weeks prior, and while you certainly weren’t put off by him, the date proposal was sudden.
Binzo stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans, eyes never leaving yours as he nervously chewed on the inside of his cheek. “I wanted to see if you’d want to go on a date,” he repeated. “With me.”
You couldn’t help the silence that followed your dumbstruck. He seemed to take your lack of response wrong, though, because in the next moment his shoulders were sagging and all his excitable nervousness had depleted. “Sorry—“ he started.
“Yes,” you interrupted before he could start backtracking. “I’d love to go on a date with you.”
His features brightened as a wide grin took over his face. You could feel your heart hammering at the sight. God, he was a strange one, but you really couldn’t help but be enamored by him. “Actually,” you continued. “I’m free right now, if you are.”
Binzo looked surprised. It was as if he didn’t really think this could be happening. But his shock didn’t stop him from eagerly nodding. “I am,” he replied.
“There’s this cafe nearby I’ve been wanting to try. What do you say?”
His smile widened, if that was even possible. Shyly, Binzo extracted his hand from his pocket and held it out to you in offering. You noticed the way his hand shook slightly. You giggled and slipped your own hand into his, locking your fingers together. Yeah, you could definitely get used to having this weirdo around.

Chapter 1: S is for Sannoh Hoodlum Squad
The apartment above the store was smaller than her old home, but it looked cozy. Even with the old furniture, chipped wallpaper and musty carpet underneath her feet, she felt a sense of warmth throughout the room. Looking around, they’d certainly have to fix it up to be comfortable. With a separate bedroom on the side, the bathroom remained the only other room. She figured her and her mother would be sharing a room until they could afford a bigger place. She didn’t mind. It was better than having no bed at all. She opened a window to let out the stuffy air, and saw the spectacular view…
A small courtyard and the opposite building behind them.
When her mother and aunt came back up, Sakyia noticed they’d brought two young men with them. One was tall with long black dreadlocks, and his companion was darker and shorter. She guessed these were Junpei’s friends. The boy with the dreadlocks smiled when he saw her, then nudged his friend, who also grinned.
“Sakyia,” Hana said, “I’d like you to meet Tettsu,” the tall one waved, “And Dan,” the short one bowed slightly. “They come and help me from time to time.”
“Because Junpei tells them too.”
“Cobra doesn’t force us to do anything,” Tettsu immediately said, placing down one of their boxes. “We’re always here for our neighborhood. It’s what Sannoh Hoodlum Squad is about: protecting and caring for the town.”
She tried to stifle a laugh, “Sannoh Hoodlum Squad? That’s your gang’s name?” It wasn’t the worst name she’d ever heard.
“Yeah,” he replied. “Cobra is our leader.”
“His nickname is ‘Cobra’?” she snickered, picking up the box of kitchen items. “It would be.”
“Sakyia!” Midori furrowed her brow, “Stop being rude.”
“I’m not being rude,” she put it on the counter, giggling softly, “Just voicing an opinion. You told me Sannoh is a good place to live.”
“It is,” Dan told her reassuringly. “You’ll see once you’re settled in. Sannoh Hoodlum Squad isn’t like the ones you’re probably used to seeing. We take care of our people.”
“You can come to the diner and see for yourself,” Tettsu suggested. “It’s called the Itokan Diner.”
“Ooh! That sounds nice!” Midori said. “Is it a new place? I haven’t been home in such a long time; everything’s changed around here.”
The pair began explaining it to her as Sakyia helped unload the car downstairs. They seemed nice, but most gangsters did. However, looking them both over, and listening to them talk, they did not seem the type to be in gangs. They were friendly and helpful to her aunt, who appreciated them enough to offer rice balls the next time they came. They didn’t brag or flaunt any fancy things they’d bought. Should she have passed them in the street, they’d appear like any normal youths. Sakyia knew more than most that appearances can be deceiving. She decided she’d leave her judgment for more contemplative hours; she had work to do.
Sakyia spent the rest of the day putting things away and trying to make something of a home in the apartment. She made shelf space for her art supplies and books; her mother brought small potted plants to place along the window sill for some life. Family photos went on shelves and walls; they’d put her father’s remains in an ornate wooden box on the bedroom dresser. By the time they’d finished, night fell and the apartment seemed less empty and shabby.
“We need food,” her mother frowned when she saw the empty fridge. “I’ll order take out for tonight. Burgers, Blossom?”
“I guess,” she shrugged.
“Don’t get burgers,” Hana said, unpacking the last kitchen box. “There’s a perfectly good diner down from here that serves way better food.”
“That diner your friends mentioned?” asked Sakyia.
“You’ll love their food,” she insisted. “Naomi is such a great cook, and the prices are reasonable.” Midori looked at Sakyia with raised eyebrows, and Sakyia shrugged again. They turned to Hana who nodded, “I’ll place the order. Sakyia can go pick it up. You can walk there, it’s not too far.”
“Ugh, Auntie,” she groaned, plopping onto the couch. She let her body sink into it as she said, “I’m so tired. Can’t they deliver?”
“They don’t do that,” Hana replied. “Stop being lazy. You’re young. Besides, Junpei might be there.”
“Um okay, so?”
She caught her mother and her aunt looking at one another. She groaned and let her head fall back on the couch. It was inevitable that this would come up: Cobra was a young man. Sakyia was a young woman, new in town. “He’s a man of few words, but he’s very nice-” Hana began, but Sakyia cut her off.
“-I literally just arrived,” she said. “I’m not looking for a boyfriend. I’m looking to sit down and never get back up again.”
“We weren’t thinking that at all,” her mother said unconvincingly. She grabbed a bottle of wine that Hana brought, and said, “Your aunt was telling us what a nice young man Junpei is, that’s all.”
“Mh-hm, your mom keeps complaining to me about how you’re always at home, you don’t go to school, you don’t have a lot of friends-”
“-Well, I wasn’t really in a place to make any friends.”
No, she hadn’t been. Yes, there’d been fighters she became friendly with in the warehouse, but nobody she saw outside of the place. Twelve years fighting on dirt and sawdust, her hands and wrists wrapped up, forged her into something. A weapon. Jiro took up most of her time, so she never went out with friends or her mother all that much. The one person she'd grown closest to sat in a Rasen prison cell. Sakyia recalled the times she’d tried fitting in with girls at her school: going shopping, wearing makeup and pretty clothes; talking about boys they liked and things they did over the weekend. She wanted that life. She wanted a circle of friends who stuck by her side, and lifted her up. Often, she imagined going shopping with a group of friends, and visiting her mother's salon togethet.
But, Jiro pulled her away from that to fight in the pits. Plus, the bruises kept people at a distance. Thinking of the endless fights night after night already tired her out. She withdrew the small sketchpad from her bag with a pencil, and returned to her drawing.
She was done with fighting. She did not mind a bit of practice to keep herself in shape, but fighting people? Sakyia refused to do it ever again. She’d wasted her life on pointless fighting. She’d only done it because of Jiro; otherwise she might’ve given up on it entirely and focused on her art. Martial arts used to be something her father and her shared. When he died, it felt meaningless to continue. Sakyia looked forward to helping her mother in the salon, doing simple tasks and meeting people. Maybe she can enroll in a beauty school and become a stylist herself. She could still go, if she wanted; she was only twenty-five. She still had so much ahead, and with Jiro and the warehouse gone, she could be something more than that.
“-Alright, she’ll come by to pick it up,” Hana said over the phone. “Thank you, Naomi. Have a good night.” She turned back to Midori and Sakyia by the television, “Alright you, time to go. Here’s the address,” she scribbled it down on a piece of paper and handed it to Sakyia, “She says it’ll be done in thirty minutes or so.”
“Then, I’ll go in thirty minutes.”
“No, young lady,” said Midori, picking up her glass of wine from the coffee table. “You’ll go now. That way it’ll be hot when you bring it back.”
“You two just want me out of the house so you can have the wine to yourselves,” Sakyia accused, putting her pad and pencil aside.
“That’s right,” she smiled, pouring her sister a glass. “I haven’t drank properly since I married Jiro,” she said to Hana. “He said he thought women drinking was an ugly trait. I can’t believe I actually listened to him.”
“I can’t believe you married him!” said Hana, sitting on the sofa between her and Sakyia.
This was her cue to leave. She slowly stood from the couch, slipped on her jacket and shoes, and headed out the door. Once outside, she entered the address into her phone and began walking. The sky started changing from day into night, and she saw businesses already closing. She did receive curious looks from locals who’d never seen her, but she nodded politely. Walking down the street, Sannoh did not seem like such a rough place. It did appear a bit run down in places, yet she liked that. It felt real. Sakyia saw herself living in this small town. She could inherit the salon or start her own art gallery and sell her drawings, if they were good enough. She smiled softly. This could be a good place for her and her mother.
She found the Itokan Diner wedged in a corner of the street with a small sign bearing its name in bold letters. Sakyia took a deep breath, and then pushed on the door. Her stomach growled at the scent of savory food in the air. She took a look around the small diner: it had bench tables, posters and words plastered on the walls, and chandeliers made from glass bottles. The rustic, comforting look must draw in a good amount of people during the night. She then noticed the room going quiet when she walked in.
“Hey, Sakyia!” Tettsu called to her from one of the tables, “You actually came!”
“Um, yeah,” she said, caught off guard by his grin, “My aunt ordered some food and I’m picking it up.”
Behind the counter, a short slim woman with brown hair stirred a pot over the stove. Sakyia guessed this was Naomi, the woman her aunt mentioned. She turned around when the door opened and smiled at Sayika.
"You must be Sakyia," she said. "Hana said you'd be coming by to pick up the food. It won't be ready for a while, so if you want to sit and have a drink, you're welcome to."
"Thanks," she took a seat at the bar. "They kicked me out so they can have all the wine to themselves. What do you have to drink around here?"
"Beer mostly," she replied.
Beer wasn't her favorite, but she asked for one. She gazed around the diner and noticed a drawing on the wall. It was a crown with two tigers on either side with the gang's name on a banner. She snorted. It was a decent design. She'd still seen worse. She took a swig from the beer Naomi placed in front of her and noted the photos on a shelf nearby. Two men stood together in front of a familiar logo on the wall. Two snakes tangled together in a circle underneath the words "Mugen" was a familiar sight to her.
"This used to be Mugen’s place?" the question came out before she stopped herself.
Naomi finished wiping a glass and said, "Ah, no. My brother, Tatsuya, was in it before he started the diner. The other man was his best friend, Kohaku. Why? Did you know them?"
"Not personally, but guys in the warehouse used to wear their vests and talk about them." She took another drink of beer when Naomi moved closer to her.
"Warehouse?"
She'd said too much. If this woman's brother was part of Mugen, she might not know about their part in the fighting rings. "I used to be a secretary in a warehouse in the bay area. With so many men around, they all try to impress you and say they know guys in Mugen or are a part of it."
"A lot of guys used to do that," said a male voice behind her.
She turned to see a dark haired man sitting not too far away, his own plate of food in front of him. His wide shoulders slimmed down his torso, though hidden behind the green sweater he wore. Judging by his face, he didn't like what Sakyia was saying.
"Doesn't mean Kohaku was involved," he said. "Guys in Mugen used its name to do bad things like deal drugs and women. But we weren't involved in that."
"Never said they did," she replied, a bit taken back by his reaction. "Just things I heard." She noticed another photo with Cobra and the other man with the first two. They also wore Mugen vests. It explained the man's reaction.
"She was only saying, Yamato. She didn't mean anything by it," Naomi defended her.
Men were so sensitive. She wondered what Yamato might say if she told him that Mugen members liked to fight and bet in the warehouse. Drinking her beer, she remembered a boy she'd fought who boasted about being part of Mugen. He made it sound as if she should've been scared of him. Sakyia would admit he dislocated her shoulder, broke her upper lip, bruised up her stomach and nearly choked her, but she'd beat him. He lost when a swift kick to the temple knocked him out. Sakyia smirked to herself. She recalled what she'd said to his manager.
"It appears that Mugen isn't as tough as they say."
"You were a part of Mugen, then?" she asked.
"Cobra and Yamato were," said Tettsu, coming over to her side, "But the rest of us joined them when they started the Sannoh Hoodlum Squad."
"Is there a signup sheet or something? How do you even join a gang?" The idea amused her. Naomi laughed as she turned back to the stove.
"Well, um, you sort of show up to the base and, kind of, join?"
"Why? Are you interested?" a deep voice asked from nearby.
She turned around to see Cobra sitting in a corner booth, a motorcycle magazine in front of him. In the dim lighting of the diner, his hair shone a dark gold color and softened his features. She understood her mother's suggestion at once. Even Sakyia wouldn't deny it: he was handsome. He didn't smile and spoke in a low voice.
"What if I was?" she asked, leaning back on the bar. "Do you accept women?"
The men in the bar laughed, but Cobra gazed at her. She tried not showing her uneasiness at his silent staring. His eyes remained absent the usual flirtatiousness; they observed her closely, as if they could see through her act. He studied her and she didn't like it. It reminded her too much of the men at the warehouse, who examined her like a horse for sale. The men who trained her said she had a slim body good for dodging and speed. She often fought men and women larger than her and her size came in handy. Cobra looked at her the way they did now.
"Depends," he said, "How good of a fighter are you?"
"Fighter?" Dan furrowed his brow.
Yamato turned to him in surprise, "What do you mean by that? She's a girl."
"That doesn't mean she couldn't fight any of you," said Naomi, who continued stirring her noodles. "She's got the body for it. She’s smaller and probably quicker than you, Baldy."
“Hag,” Yamato spat back, though his smile gave away the affection.
"Oh, I can't fight to save my life," Sakyia fibbed, finishing her beer. "I can't do all that fancy, tough guy martial arts stuff that guys do nowadays." It wasn't anyone's business what she could and couldn't do. Her father used to tell her not to show off or boast about her skills; that way she had the element of surprise. "I don't mind watching though. It’s kinda hot when guys fight each other," she added, winking at him. She expected a reaction, but didn't get one. He continued staring, and she stared right back. "What about you guys? What's your gang all about?"
"We protect the town," Cobra said. "There are other gangs around here who like hurting people and stealing. We stop them. We look after each other and make sure everyone is safe."
"How admirable. Most gangs I know deal drugs and fight all the time."
"Don't be fooled," said Naomi, putting rice into a small styrofoam container. "These guys use their fists to solve their problems all the time. You won't believe the amount of times they walk in here all bruised up and bleeding."
"But we win," Yamato quickly added, digging back into a hot plate of food.
"That’s not why we fight though,” said Cobra, going back to his magazine. “We fight hard because this town is worth fighting for. We all came together because of that shared love for our town. If you stick around long enough, you'll see it for yourself."
"Who could possibly want to mess with this little place?" she asked, the smell of the food making her hungry again. "There isn't anything here."
"People who want to step on the weak," he said. "The people who steal from those who already have nothing."
“I suppose my mom and I should be glad we moved into such a well protected area then,” she said, smirking at his righteous statement. She found it funny how serious he sounded. “So, do I call you if I ever need ‘protection’ or do you guys operate like Batman, and you happen to show up at the right time?”
The younger members chuckled at the joke, but stopped once Cobra stood up. All the nerves inside Sakyia lifted her shoulders slightly. She didn’t want to fight. Cobra came a few feet to her, then said, “I don’t think someone like you needs protection in the first place.”
“Meaning?”
“You claim you don’t know how to fight,” he said, “But then explain the scars on your knuckles.”
Sakyia looked at the hand on the bar, where a long scar stood out against her skin amongst smaller ones. “Accident,” she answered quickly. “It’s how I got this too, if you were planning on mentioning it,” she tapped the thin scar where Yoshi busted her nose. It healed well enough, but left a mark. “I was riding on a motorcycle with a friend, and it turned over. I broke my knuckle bone and my nose. Nothing suspicious about that.”
Cobra’s seriousness broke into a shadow of amusement. “I’ve been riding my motorcycle for years. I’ve never seen people get such specific injuries from an accident.”
“Are you some kind of motorcycle accident expert or something?” she spat back, “I got them from an accident, that’s it.”
"Your mom said she was opening up Sungmi's salon," Tettsu said, taking your attention from Cobra and his questions. "Will you be working there too?"
"Yeah," she nodded, peeling her eyes away from Cobra. "I'm not a stylist or anything, but she says I can clean and do reception."
Naomi came to her holding three styrofoam boxes. "Oh, she's opening back up the salon?"
"She'll be helping run it, yeah."
"Thank god!" She sighed in relief, "All the women around here have been going to the barber because the salon’s closed. It'd be nice to get a proper haircut."
"And a manicure or pedicure," Sakyia added. "My mom is hiring some nail artists to bring in more clients. She's going to have it properly running in a week or so. She actually does my hair," she showed off her short wavy bob, the ombre colors of brown and black fading out. "You should stop by when it's open."
"I definitely will," she said, "And I know plenty of other women who will stop by."
"I can come too," Tettsu chimed in eagerly.
"Salons are for women, Tettsu," Yamato rolled his eyes.
"There's nothing wrong with a man going to a salon," Sakyia said to him. "Same as a woman going to a barber shop.”
"Then I will come by," Tettsu smiled. "And you can come to my family's onsen."
"Your family's bathhouse is for men," Naomi told him.
"We could make a private space for her."
Sakyia chuckled, "The offer is nice, but no thank you."
"Well, if you change your mind…" he blushed, turning away. “You can just, you know, drop by or whatever.”
"What's with your nickname anyways?" She turned to Cobra again. She hated how he’d seen her scars and deduced their cause. She needed to prod him back. Her mother might scold her, but she didn’t care. "Is it supposed to compensate for something?"
Yamato nearly choked on his food. Dan and Tettsu stifled laughter and Naomi busied herself with putting the food in take out bags. Cobra didn't smile but he didn't glare either. His lack of reactions had begun to annoy her. Also, his stare made her squirm inside.
"In school," he said, smiling somewhat when he saw she wasn't being malicious, "There was this grapple I learned how to do. People said I did it so tight, it was like a cobra squeezing them. Someone said it and the name stuck," he shrugged.
"Maybe you can show me," she suggested, picking up the plastic bags Naomi handed her. "You know, since this town is so dangerous and I'm a defenseless woman wandering the streets at night."
Yamato gawked at her, "Wow, this girl's bold!"
“I doubt you’re defenseless,” Cobra smirked.
She tried not laughing at their reactions. She paid for the food and drink, thanked Naomi and said her farewell. Once outside, she giggled to herself. Men were so easily shocked by bold behavior. They seemed like a decent group. She decided she might stop by the diner more often.
That was how people made friends, right?
When she returned to the shop, she climbed the stairs and heard her mother laughing behind it. Sakyia stood outside the door for a moment to listen. She hadn’t heard her mother’s laugh for a long time. Full of mirth and giddiness, she’s sure the wine is helping it along but Auntie Hana’s presence adds to this. A surge of hope actually swirled in her chest. Maybe things will work out for them in this little town.
“Ma, I’m back,” she called into the apartment as she entered.
“Oh, good! We’re starving!” Hana sighed in relief, coming to the kitchen counter where Sakyia placed the bags. She began opening the bags, deeply inhaling the food, “Perfect. Naomi is a great cook. You’re both going to love her food.”
“Okay, okay, let’s get to eating.”
Her mother grabbed utensils, and passed them around. Sitting at the small dining table next to the kitchen, the women dug into their meals. Sakyia agreed with her aunt about the food: it was delicious. The tender chunks of meat stew melted in her mouth, full of seasonings and spices that complimented the bed of rice underneath. Only her mother’s own cooking surpassed it. Dipping a piece of broccoli in the sauce and eating it, her mother spoke.
“Sakyia,” she began, “Your aunt and I have been talking while you were gone.”
“Uh-oh.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Hana asked, affronted.
“Because whenever she starts a sentence with ‘your aunt and I have been talking’, it’s about to be something crazy.”
“Ah, hush you,” her mother nudged her with a smile. “I know we talked about you working with me in the salon, but Hana here told me she’s been looking for a delivery person for the store.”
“Okay…” she listened, eating another piece of saucy steamed vegetables.
“I think it’d be a better fit for you,” she stated, eating a bit of her own rice. “You’d be bored in the salon. You used to whine and wail about it when you were little, and you haven’t changed since then. Going around the districts, seeing the different places and meeting new people might be better for you. You’d be occupied and stimulated instead of sweeping floors and listening to gossip.”
“I wanted to sweep floors and listen to gossip,” she said. After the years she spent in the rings, she’d somewhat looked forward to ‘boring mundane work’.
“No, you didn’t,” her mother said. “You only want that because of, you know, your last…job.” She watched her daughter for a moment, seeing the way she avoided her gaze. “It’d be good for you,” she added. “You might make some friends that way and have a normal life.”
It sounded convincing, she wouldn’t lie. Sakyia knew deep down she’d get tired of working in the salon. It’d been the same during her childhood. She looked at Hana, “What would I be doing? Just delivering stuff to people?”
“Yes,” she nodded, drinking some of her wine. “People drop off their packages or send them in through other people; I charge and stamp them, and you’d take them where they need to go. Before you ask, a lot of these people don’t have the means or the time to give the packages and letters themselves. The family service is there to help them out. Besides, it’s good money,” she eyed them both before eating from her bowl. “It’ll help you greatly to have two incomes instead of one.”
“She’s got a point,” her mother agreed, washing down her food with water. “It’ll be good for us to have extra money coming in; then we’ll be able to get our own place quicker.”
Sakyia mulled this over while she ate. Her mother and her left their old home in a hurry, leaving them with little chances to find a proper and affordable place. If they save enough money, they can move into an apartment and leave the dingy flat above the postal shop.
“How would I get around?” Sakyia asked, seeing the flaw right away.
“You can use Koichi’s scooter,” she said. “He left it behind when he moved out of town. It’s in the courtyard between our building and the ones behind it.” She saw Sakyia’s hesitancy. “It’ll be good for you. Trust me. Not to mention,” she smirked to herself, “Some of my regulars are rather handsome.”
“Ooh!” her mother smiled, eyebrows raised at Sakyia.
“I’m not interested in that.”
“Oh please! A heartbreaker like you? I doubt it,” she rapped her arm and Sakyia smirked. “I remember all the little boys your mother used to tell me about; all of them trying to gain the attention of Tanaka Sakyia and being ignored. You don’t have to marry them, but,” she sneered, “It doesn’t hurt to have some fun.”
“My daughter is not that kind of girl, Hana.”
“I never said she was, but come on, Midori. We used to do the same when we were her age. You didn’t have a proper boyfriend until you met Kenji. But, that’s not important,” she said. “The job is easy and simple. The clients tip well for the service, and they’ll tip twice when they see how pretty you are. You won’t be fighting anyone or be in any sort of danger.” When Sakyia did not appear convinced, she continued, “Look, try it out for a week. I have clients around the district here, so you’ll at least get familiar with the area before you make a decision. How about it?”
Sakyia weighed the pros and cons of this job. It’d include a lot of travel and talking to strangers, going into places of the district she’d yet to explore. Yet, she’d be making her own money, and contributing to her home rather than sweep floors and take calls in a salon for free. This new job will give her something to do, since little Sannoh did not appear to offer much. She looked to her mother, who smiled at her encouragingly. Sakyia felt slightly disappointed. Boring work sounded so nice. No bloody fists. No broken bones or bruised skin. No rings. She’d have only a broom and dustpan; a phone and a computer to write down appointments. With this little bike and parcels, she may run into trouble, which she wished to avoid. But, looking around their new home, they needed the money.
“I’ll give it a shot,” she finally said. “How hard can it really be?”
Hana cheered and smiled widely, “Excellent! Oh, you’re gonna love it! It’ll be an easy gig for you, I promise.”
“You’ll do well,” her mother added, gripping her hand gently.
“I hope so.”
The three women finished their dinner, and then Hana left for the night. Sakyia felt too tired to unpack anything else, so she showered in the small bathroom and crashed onto her new bed. The full mattress squeaked, and felt slightly firm underneath her. It was better than nothing. Her mother took the bed on the other side of the room, and both of them fixed their beds for sleep.
“I think this will be good for us,” her mother said, her voice breaking the silence in the dark room. “This is the new beginning we needed. No debt collectors. No punks. No Jiro. Just you and me and this shabby apartment.”
Sakyia smiled to herself, turning her head to look at her mother a few feet away. “We’ll find a way to make this apartment a home, until we find our own. You’ll buy Sungmi’s salon and have your own business again.”
“And maybe you’ll finally make friends.” She then hesitated, “Possibly even boyfriends.”
“Boyfriends?” she scoffed. “As if.”
“Eh, well, you’re a lot more popular with boys than you’ve ever realized. Jiro kept you so close and isolated, you never noticed the boys. Maybe now that you’re older you’ll become the little heartbreaker your father said you’d be,” she snickered at the last point.
She snorted, pulling the covers to her chin. “He never said that.”
“He did,” she insisted. “He kept saying he’d have to train more to fight off the line of boys that’ll be at our door.” She then said, “Just make sure he’s a nice boy? You know, who comes from a good family, has a job, is kind and gentle with you. A real gentleman.”
“Oh, Ma, can we stop the boyfriend talk, please?”
Midori laughed at her daughter’s groaning, remembering briefly how her husband used to do the same. “Alright, fine. Goodnight, Blossom.”
“Night, Ma.”
****
Her mother busy with setting up the salon and acquainting herself with employees, she’d left Sakyia to her own devices. She ate a quick breakfast of leftovers and washed up. Pulling on her father’s bomber jacket, dark navy and worn in the seams, she tied up half of her hair and went downstairs to find stacks of parcels left on the counter. Hana moved around them, smiling at her.
“Ah good, you’re here,” she said, kissing Sakyia’s cheek. “I got some packages that need to be sent as soon as possible. Don’t worry, I picked out local places so you can get familiar with Sannoh first. That way, if you decide you don’t want the job, my regulars won’t be accustomed to you.”
“Sounds good to me,” she nodded. “What do I do with them? Can that little bike hold all these?”
Hana began explaining the job to her. People normally made calls to have packages picked up or dropped off from one place to another. Sakyia only needed to drop it off, have them sign for it, and she went on to the next place. To pick up orders, she’d have to go to the address on the appointment sheet, and make sure to be there on time since the longer she took, the lower her tip is likely to be. The job sounded easy enough, especially with the bike in the back.
“Here it is,” Hana led her to the courtyard behind the shop, each woman carrying stacks of boxes.
Against a wall leant an aquamarine and white motor scooter. The previous owner painted orange and red flames on the back, and plastered bumper stickers that were later scratched off. Sakyia never rode one before, but it could not be much different from a motorcycle, which she knew how to navigate decently. Attached to the back was a wire cart, which she guessed added extra space for parcels.
“It’s not the fanciest thing in the world,” Hana said, putting her stack carefully in the cart. “But it runs well. If you ever have trouble, there’s a little mechanic shop in town where you can go. Yamato is very good at fixing bikes.”
She recalled Yamato from the previous night. “Hm, noted,” she said, adding hers beside them.
“Here are the keys,” she handed her a small set of keys. “The first place on your list is the Dan Convenience store. The owner is a good friend, but he’s too busy with the store to pick them up. Make sure they get there in one piece.”
Sakyia looked at the clipboard her aunt put on top of the parcels. On it were several names, addresses, and times to be delivered. Her aunt must’ve spent the early morning making phone calls to get them. She supposed she should start right away. Putting on the matching helmet hanging off the handle, she guided the bike around the side of the shop and onto the street. She typed the address into her navigation app, and saw a clear path to the little store. She planted herself firmly on the seat, nerves starting to numb her fingers and toes as she turned on the engine. It hummed to life underneath her, and she pressed the pedal to jolt forward. The first few starts startled her, but once she finally turned onto the street, she got the hang of it. Thankfully, years of maintaining balance helped.
The app took her to a small store a few blocks away. It appeared to be the typical convenience store, with the wide windows displaying special deals or sales. She turned off the bike and removed her helmet. She went over what she’d say as she picked up the first of the big boxes. A simple ‘hello, package for you’ might be a good start. It did not need to be a whole conversation. Though, being the newcomer in town, she might have to actually have a conversation. She’d done fine the other night in the diner. This won’t be any different. Keep things easy. Keep things flowing.
“Welcome!” Two voices said in unison.
Twin girls stood up from the register counter, hands behind their backs and formally bowing their heads when she walked in. She noticed they wore pink and black jackets, and long pink aprons. They were also tall. They almost towered over her.
“Um, good morning,” Sakyia said, “I have some packages for the owner…” she looked at the name on her clipboard, “Dan?”
“Dan’s not the owner,” said the twin with long brown hair.
“His dad is,” said her sister, who had shorter hair in two braids.
“He’s not here right now.”
“You can leave the packages with us.”
“Alright…” she said, but then someone else came up.
“Oh, Sakyia, you’re here.”
It was Dan, one of the Sannoh members, she remembered. Tall with black hair parted to the side, he gave her a smile as he wiped his hands on his apron.
“Morning, Dan,” she said, showing she hadn’t forgotten his name. “I take it by the name, this is your family’s store?”
“Yes, it is,” he nodded, taking the box from her carefully. “My dad’s not here, but I can sign for the packages.”
“Okay, good.”
She handed him the clipboard, and stared around the store. She recalled the empty fridge back home, and considered picking up some of the basics. Sakyia knew she had time in between locations to put the things back home. “Do you sell ready-to-eat meals?” she heard herself ask, peeking the fridges along the wall.
“We do,” he nodded, handing her the clipboard. “We sell lots of things here for a lady on the go,” she noticed his friendly smile, “As well as necessities.”
“Hm, good,” she nodded. “My mom and I moved in yesterday, and neither of us has had time to shop.” She checked her phone for the time. She could do a bit of shopping.
“Oh, so you’re the newcomer,” said the long-haired twin. “Naomi mentioned you. I’m Oshiage-”
“-And I’m Shiba,” said the short-haired one. “She said your mother’s a hairstylist-”
“-And that she’s opening up Sungmi’s salon.”
Did they always do that? Sakyia nodded slowly, “Yeah, she’s working there. She’s really good at what she does. Her salon back home was really popular.”
“Where was, um, home?” Dan asked, hands in his back pockets. “Ms. Kimura mentioned you came from another district.”
“Chikuni Bay,” she answered. “We lived near the warehouse district by the water until we had to move.”
“Gosh, it must’ve been nice living by the water,” he smiled, gazing over her face. Why was he doing that? It unnerved her.
“She’s not interested,” said Shiba, irritably.
“Stop being a creep.”
“I’m not being a creep!” he exclaimed, mouth agape and a blush tinging his cheeks. “I’m only being friendly, that’s all. She’s new and as part of the Sannoh Hoodlum Squad, it’s my duty to make people feel welcome here.”
They rolled their eyes together, unconvinced by his argument. “I think I’ll go, um, get the rest of the boxes-” she began to say, backing away to the doors.
“-No, no, I’ll get them,” Dan insisted. “You can take a look around the shop in the meantime.”
“Alright, thanks.”
She left him to get the packages, while she picked up a basket. Scanning the different aisles, she picked out bread and fruits for the home. She’d been looking at the refrigerated area, examining the different types of ready-to-eat meals on the shelves, when she heard another person enter the store.
“Hey Junko,” the twins said together.
“Hey Twin Towers.”
Sakyia did not really pay much mind to the women who walked into the store. She’d been deciding between a curry meal or a bento box when footsteps approached. The chicken curry and rice sounded more to her mother’s taste. She’d be fine with a bento.
“Hey,” a voice caught her attention. She looked to see two girls dressed in black with long pink and white jackets standing a few feet from her. The one with the short black hair seemed to have spoken. “You’re Ms. Kimura’s niece?”
“I am,” she nodded, putting the two items in her basket. “Who are you?”
“I’m Junko,” she said. “This is Asuka,” she nodded to the girl wearing a long ponytail behind her. “We’re part of Ichigo Milku.”
“Strawberry milk?”
“It’s our favorite drink,” said Asuka. “It's our gang name.”
Ah, another Sannoh gang. “That’s…cool,” Sakyia said, “I wasn’t aware Sannoh had a girl gang.”
“We’re the only ones,” Junko said proudly. “We take care of the women in Sannoh, and make sure they’re safe.”
“How admirable,” she checked her time again, and saw she was running out. “It was nice meeting you guys, but I gotta check out and then get back on my route.”
“We heard your mom’s opening up Sungmi’s salon,” Junko said. “Is she any good?”
“She’s amazing,” she told them honestly. “She does my hair all the time.” Like with Naomi, she showed them her hair cut. “It’s faded out, but she retouches it for me when she has the time,” she added, in case they thought the dye job was bad. She walked over to the register, putting down her items. It wasn’t much, but enough to get them until they could shop together. “She’s hired nail artists too, if you all are interested in that,” she said, “and all the old stylists that used to work there before Sungmi left.”
“That sounds great!” Asuka beamed, “I’ve been dying to get my nails done!”
“Us too!” the two twins said.
They began scanning her items when she spotted the cupcake display. Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with different colored frosting and sprinkles lined a small case by the register. They looked good. Sakyia could not remember the last time she ate anything sweet. Jiro often kept her on a strict diet, and prohibited sweets. She knew if he stood next to her, he’d sharply scold her for thinking about it. It made her want one even more.
“-Junko,” Asuka whispered her name and nodded to the door.
Sakyia saw Junko’s hard exterior melt once she looked at the door. She turned to see Cobra walking into the shop, hands in his pockets. Sakyia guessed Junko liked him by how she stared at him with dreamy eyes. It reminded her of the girls she used to know in school. She recalled how they acted around boys they liked, and the stupid things they did to get his attention. Sakyia never had time to care about boys; Jiro took up most of it. Cobra noticed them all in the shop, and his eyes locked with hers for a moment. He was as broody today as he’d been last night. Still such a mystery to her.
“Morning,” she said politely, nodding her head at him.
“Morning, Sakyia.”
He took a spot behind her in line, and she noticed the nervous glances Junko and the other girls gave one another. She turned back to the twins, who finished scanning and bagging her meager selection.
“You’re taking up Koichi’s job then?” Cobra asked her, much to the shock of the other girls.
“I am,” she nodded, fishing for her wallet in her jacket pocket. “It helps out my aunt’s business and gives me a little extra money.”
“I’m glad Hana’s back in business,” he said. “Her service helps a lot of people in Sannoh.”
“And helps me out at the same time,” she said, trying her best to joke. He made her nervous with his stare and his handsome face and his presence. She looked at the dessert display again. “How much are the cupcakes?” she asked the twins.
“216 yen each,” said Shiba.
She sucked her teeth. Her slight against Jiro would have to wait another day. She paid for everything, and stepped aside. Another check of her phone told her she needed to get going before her next appointment. She hated her impulsive decisions. Dan having removed his packages, she had space for her bags.
“I’ll see you all around,” she said. That’s something friendly people say, don’t they?
“See ya, Sakyia!” said Asuka and the twins.
“Bye Sakyia!” Dan popped out from the back with a wide smile. “Come back whenever you want, really!”
“Ugh, you’re so pathetic, Dan,” said one of the twins.
Junko seemed too transfixed on Cobra, who only nodded at Sakyia. She felt his eyes on her still as she left the shop. It bothered her so damn much. Why did he have to stare? It made her hot under the collar, and her cheeks flushed pink. She set her bags down inside securely, then looked to see that she needed to get to her next location soon. She entered the next address on her phone when someone came up beside her.
"Here."
Cobra stood next to her bike, handing her a small bag. Inside, on a plate, sat a vanilla cupcake with baby blue frosting. Sakyia looked between him and the cupcake, a bit confused and stunned.
"Thank you," she said, gingerly taking the bag. "You didn't have to do that. I would've gotten it another time."
"I wanted to," he replied, shrugging.
She straddled her bike and put on her helmet with urgency. The small gesture reminded her of another person she’d known. He liked to give her random gifts as well; he used to brush it off too. Jesse was never one for grandiose gestures of affection even at fourteen. She placed the cupcake bag with the ones in the cart, and looked back at him.
“Why?”
“You looked like you could use it.”
“I could use a lot more things than a cupcake.”
“Still, we can find happiness in the little things too, you know.” Her phone pinged, and he said, “Looks like you have a busy day ahead.”
“Seriously busy,” she said. “My aunt’s orders are super backed up; there’s more waiting at the store. I’m sure it would’ve been worse if your friends hadn’t helped her before.”
“Your family’s business helps a lot of people around here, and Hana’s a good friend of my parents,” he said. “It would’ve been cruel of me to not lend a hand. She also helps keep the balance around here.”
“Balance? What ‘balance’?”
“Between the gangs in SWORD,” he answered. “There are five gangs in Chikuni, and we all use your aunt’s business when we want to deal with one another. That way, nobody walks into each other’s territories without warning first.”
“SWORD? The city’s Chikuni though.”
“It’s the nickname. I thought your aunt told you?”
“She neglected to mention it to me,” she grumbled. “Five gangs? Are they dangerous?”
“They can be, if you’re not careful. But, I’m sure once you tell them who you work for, they’ll lay off you,” he explained. “I’m sure Hana’s already informed the other leaders about you too.”
“Lovely. She warns them, but not me.”
“She probably didn’t want to scare you off the job,” he suggested. “Besides, perhaps she thinks you’re capable of handling it. Koichi was a pretty good fighter too.”
“Fighting?”
“Like I said, ‘five gangs’.” He stepped forward, “I could, you know, come with you? That way, you’ll have some protection.”
“I don’t need it.” She said this quicker than she meant to. “I’m sure I’ll be fine.”
Her sudden rejection didn’t upset Cobra. He smirked and said, “Yeah, you will be, huh?”
She hated the feeling that smirk gave her. Cobra’s gentle eyes and words made her nervous. Not in the ‘fight-or-flight’ way she’d become so accustomed to either. Her mother used to call it ‘the butterflies’, and she didn’t like them. They made her warm and hopeful, like she’d been as a girl in school.
“See you around,” she said quickly. “Thanks again for the cupcake."
"No problem."
Sakyia started the scooter and went on her way. Chikuni City had five gangs, all controlling different parts of the city, and her aunt’s little delivery business kept them from fighting. Sakyia knew the job sounded a bit too good to be true. She decided she’d ask her aunt about it later, but she’ll keep it from her mother. Her mother worries plenty about everything else; Sakyia won’t pile on any supposed possibilities. She just hoped she did not have to fight. She was done fighting. Sakyia pushed Cobra and the gangs to the back of her mind, then carried on with her day.
She dropped off a few more packages to different locations, meeting her aunt’s customers and people around the town. The gangs aside, the people of Sannoh greeted her with friendly smiles. Mrs. Saito owns an antique shop, and she gave Sakyia a small beckoning cat keychain for good luck. Mr. Ito runs a grocery store, and told her amusing stories about his youth in Sannoh whilst she waited for his signature. People seemed to know all about her parents, and her mother opened the salon. Sakyia did what she could to spread the word herself, hoping it’ll help. She’d gone to the salon for lunch, giving her mother one of the meals she’d bought, and told her about her morning.
“Ah, I remember Mrs. Saito. Your grandmother loved going into her shop. She has a lot of interesting things in there,” she smiled fondly at the memory. She sat across from Sakyia on one of the hair drying chairs, who sat on the barber chair. “I missed this place,” she said, chewing a piece of chicken curry with rice. “I always meant to bring you here one day so you can see where your father and I grew up, but I never got around to it.” She noticed the cupcake Sakyia had sitting with the rest of the groceries. “You bought a sweet treat, huh?” she smiled, “Jiro would’ve scolded you if he was here.”
“It’s why I wanted it, but I didn’t have enough for it.”
“Then how did you get it?”
She slurped some of the chicken broth in her cup, then said, “Junpei.” Her mother hid her grin behind a scoop of rice. “Ugh, it didn’t mean anything. He was only being friendly.”
“There’s a difference between ‘friendly’ and ‘friendly’, she smirked. “Your aunt tells me he’s a very nice boy.”
“Ma…” she said warningly.
“Alright, alright,” she finished off her meal, and dumped it in the trash. “I’ll lay off. But, you can at least try making friends your own age. I know that’s easier said than done, but I…I want you to have a life, Sakyia.”
She knew this. Jiro robbed her of a proper social life and childhood. From thirteen to twenty-five, Sakyia cannot say she had any ‘proper’ friends.
“You know who you should call up one day?” her mother broke into her thoughts. “That boy you used to hang around with when you were younger. What was his name? Skinny boy with black hair? Never wore his shoes the right way?”
“Jesse?”
Sakyia’s stomach rumbled, and she stopped eating her ramen. She remembered Jesse vividly. A lot of teenagers fought in the warehouse pits during her time there. The managers often pitted them against one another to keep things fair, but occasionally she’d fight people bigger than her. Jesse was one of the kids she often fought against. Strong and fast with lots of stamina, it always took several rounds before either of them went down. Jesse never yielded. He either knocked her out or she knocked him out. One night, after a fight, they got to talking in the locker room and clicked. She often met up with him at the warehouse since he lived in Little Asia, and she lived near the bay. He liked her. She didn’t know at the time, but as a woman now, the signs were obvious. He went easy on her in fights; he often tended to her wounds afterwards; he hung around her before and afterwards, and even brought her a flower for her birthday.
“I heard he’s in prison,” she said, remembering the boy who wore his sneakers like sandals. Word spread that he’d been lifted by police and gone to Rasan Prison, where he’s been for a long time. “So, there isn’t any way of ‘calling him’.” Not that she would. It’d been so long ago, she doubted her recalled her at all.
“What a shame,” her mother mused, going back to fixing up the hair station. “He’d liked you a lot.”
Her phone rang in her pocket, and Sakyia sighed. “I have to go, Ma,” she told her, cleaning up her spot and dumping the garbage. “Auntie Hana gave me a long list of drop-offs for today, so I might not be back until later.”
“Be careful, Blossom,” she said, kissing her daughter’s cheek.
They said their farewells, and Sakyia went back on her route. Sannoh didn't seem like a bad place. People were friendly in a way that threw her off at times. She blamed it on the places where she received nothing but grimaces of pain or dirty glares. She briefly remembered Jesse, who'd always smiled at her approach. He did it when he fought her too, teasing and goading her into charging at him. Sannoh might've been different after all.
The sky turned dark by the time she finished delivering packages around the area. She’d driven back towards home when she noticed the gas tank dial. The tiny yellow hand pointed dangerously close to the ‘empty’ symbol. She’ll admit she’d put off getting gas since she wanted to get to her drop offs and pickups on time. Yet, cruising through the streets, she worried she may not make it home on a near empty tank. She remembered passing a gas station on her way southwards, so she searched on her phone for the station and drove in its direction.
‘Hina Gas’ went across the top in bold letters. It appeared a bit run down, but nothing that threw her guard off. Sakyia parked the scooter by a pump, then went inside. ‘The butterflies’ made their return. Cobra sat behind the register, magazine in his lap and his feet propped on a counter. His head poked up when the doorbell jingled throughout the small store.
“Hey,” she heard herself say out loud.
“Hey,” he said. “It’s late. Shouldn’t you be home?”
“Shouldn’t you?”
“I live nearby.”
“So do I.” Why is everything an inquest with this man? “I just needed gas,” she nodded to the pumps outside, “Otherwise I’d get stranded.”
She walked up to the counter, and he stood from his chair. The air remained tense and quiet. They didn’t have to talk. It’s not needed. Yet, the butterflies continued fluttering in her stomach. Cobra put in the gas charge, and she fished through her bag for the cash.
“How was it?” he asked, processing her payment.
“Huh?”
“Your day,” he specified. “How’d it go?”
“Oh, um, it went well. My aunt kept most of the addresses in Sannoh, so at least I can see the rest of the place,” she said, fiddling with the strap of her bag. Her fingernails picked into the polyester strap, dragging over the prints nervously. “It’s actually a nice place. The people I’ve met are nice, at least. Mrs. Saito from the antique store gave me this little cat charm,” she showed it to him, the golden cat hanging from her keychain. “For good luck,” she continued. “Overall, not a bad day. How was yours?” it only felt right to ask, since he did first.
The corner of his mouth twitched at the cat. He handed her back the bills, and said, “It’s been a quiet one, that’s for sure, but not unpleasant.” He hesitated, about to add on to it before stopping himself. “It is, um, you know, getting late though. Sannoh isn’t always as pleasant at night. You really shouldn’t go on your own.”
“I have my scooter. No worries,” she insisted, putting her money away. “I can just ride away if danger comes near me.”
“Still,” he said, looking over her face, “Be careful.”
“I will, thanks. Night.”
“Night.”
She moved to leave when someone else entered the shop. Seeing his black hair hanging over his eyes, dressed in a hoodie and jeans, Noboru leaned on a walking stick as he walked in. He looked different from the young man who’d come to her old house a month and a half ago. His eyes met hers, and he gave a friendly grin.
“Oh, hello, Sakyia,” he said, giving a bow of his head. “I heard you and your mom moved into the neighborhood.” He went over to the counter, giving Cobra a fist pump. “I hope you settled in okay.”
“We did, thanks,” she said. “What happened to your leg? You weren’t injured when we met.”
“You’ve met before?” Cobra asked, looking between them.
“An accident,” he answered Sakyia. “It’s a bit of a complicated story, but I no longer work for the Iemura family.”
Sakyia did not need him to tell her more. He must’ve upset them somehow, and they’d punished him for it. She pitied him. “I’m sorry that happened to you,” she told him. “You and Kawata helped my mother and I a lot. She told me later you’d been the one who suggested the exchange.”
“I thought it’d benefit everyone involved,” he shrugged. “You and your mother could have a new life somewhere else, and Iemura would get their money.”
“And Jiro?” she asked cautiously.
“I don’t know,” he shook his head. “They’re still looking for him, from what I heard.”
Jiro escaped them. She figured he would. He’s too cowardly to own up to his mistakes. It was why he forced Sakyia to do it. “I know this might sound harsh to say, but I hope they do find him,” she said. Knowing Jiro, he’ll crop up somewhere eventually. “He deserves whatever they give him.”
“That is a bit harsh-”
“-I’m sorry, but how do you two know each other?” Cobra asked a second time, a bit louder.
“Sakyia’s mother sold her salon in Chikuni Bay to Kuryu,” he told him before Sakyia could intervene. “I heard she’s managing Sungmi’s salon though,” he looked at Sakyia. “I was just talking to Naomi, and she told me.”
“She is.”
“Why did she sell her salon?” asked Cobra.
“Because we were moving,” Sakyia lied. “She couldn’t manage it from somewhere else, so she sold it to start over.”
Cobra did not believe her. She could tell in the way he slightly raised his eyebrows. “I gotta go,” she said hurriedly. “It’s getting late, and my mom’s waiting. I’ll see you guys around.”
“Night,” Noboru said innocently.
“Night.”
She left the gas station before any more questions came up. Her mother waited for her at home, and she’d been out too long already. She didn't have time for anyone’s prying questions.
Especially not Cobra’s.

Back to you | TsuShibaRoki (part4)
Tumblr media
Prompts: DAY 18 - too weak to move @febuwhump Characters: Tsuji x Shibaman x Todoroki Fandom: High and Low Summary: deep silence
A/n for prompts: Hello guys! This is my first time trying a prompt challenge. I hope you like the short fics I wrote. I will finish them by writing some of the requests I have. I love you 💜
Sorry for the grammer or spelling mistakes.English is not my main language so...
Thank you and love you 🥰
Warnings: mention of fights, mention of fights and injuries, mention of violence
part1 part2 part3
Tumblr media
Two beds, a chair between the beds. And deep silence.
Todoroki took off his glasses and put them in his pocket. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the time on his watch. It was already late night. His two friends were still sleeping.
Tsuji still hadn't woken up, while Shibaman had gone back to sleep because of the medications.
Todoroki wanted to hit his head against the wall. The voice inside his mind did not remain silent. He had a headache. But he thought he deserved it. It should have hurt him at least a little.
He didn't know how many times he apologized to Shiba. When it came to these two, he didn't care about his pride or what people thought. He loved them. He cared about them. And he wasn't afraid to show them his weakness.
Shiba had said many times that it wasn't his fault. But Todoroki didn't believe it. He saw himself as the only guilty one.
He sighed deeply, stood up and covered Shiba. When he turned to the other bed he closed his eyes to see that the “annoying” one was still asleep.
The doctor said they were both fine. They were just tired and sleeping. But Todoroki couldn't help but worry
He looked at Tsuji's messy hair and gently caressed it.
"I am sorry."
He said it again. Perhaps there wasn't a single moment throughout the day when he didn't feel guilty.
“But I will make them pay. Don't worry, they can't hurt you and go around.”
After covering Tsuji too, he headed for the door. But before he could open the door, a cough was heard. When Todoroki turned around and saw that Tsuji was awake, he excitedly went to his bed.
“Tsuji!”
The boy who had just woken up coughed a little. He slowly opened his eyes again and smiled
“I'm glad you're here.”
Todoroki looked at him in surprise. He looked sincere. He was trying to smile.
Tsuji was too weak to move. His wounds were still hurting and he had no energy. But he wanted to smile for him. He had a friendly smile instead of his usual “annoying” smile
Todoroki shook his head and spoke hesitantly.
“Of course I'll be here. Why shouldn't I be?”
Tsuji's face turned serious. He closed his eyes and opened them again.
“We thought you would be angry with us”
“What?!” Todoroki realized that he was too loud and lowered his voice. “Why should I be angry with you? You're the one who should be angry! Because of me-"
"No." Tsuji countered. “It wasn't because of you. It wasn't your fault. They attacked us because we-“ Tsuji paused. He wasn't sure if he should finish the sentence.
“Because you are my friend.”
Todoroki finished his sentence for him. Because they were his friends. Because they were the only people who loved him and whom he loved...

No Regret - Tsukasa x Fem Reader x Yuta (slight)
Tumblr media
Main Pairing: Tsukasa (Hokuto) x Fem Reader
Warnings: fighting, angst, right person wrong universe :')
A/N: hello everyone!! I LIVEEEEE!! Can't believe it's been more than a month since I posted on Tumblr :" work has really taken a toll on me and my mental health ain't really the best but after High & Low The Worst X came out on Netflix, you know I'm binging it and well, when I said binge, I meant I watched all of the H&L film series from "The Story of S.W.O.R.D" till The Worst Cross X (even though not in a good order) and lemme just say. I love Yuta's acting even though he doesn't get much lines but the way he expresses his face is 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Now, while I did enjoy the H&L The Worst films, I honestly much prefer the SWORD era films :') it's just that good. Coming from a film studies person, I like how the SWORD era has like a big plot that is continuous throughout the films (except maybe The Red Rain) and well, though there was closure in the big plot, I would really love to dive deeper into some of the gangs and characters. EHEM Amamiya Kyoudai :))
But anyways, here is my first (yes, girl is gonna make some other one-shots) of the H&L film series; starting with the man that caught my attention, Hokuto aka Tsukasa 🥰
Summary: you and Yuta have been friends long before he went to Korea. When Yuta finally had his acting debut, you were more than thrilled to support your best friend and may or may not fangirl over the other characters. But what happens when you and your best friend actually got to experience the other universe?
“Honestly why do you always get to hang out with the badass good looking guys?” you asked Yuta, your best friend who was staying over at your place and currently rewatching his movie, High & Low The Worst X, together
“Hey. What about me and the neos?!” Yuta scoffed, looking at your direction but you avoided his gaze; especially when your favourite character, Tsukasa showed up
“I mean, you guys are hot, I won’t lie. But look at Tsukasa!! Brains and brawns plus the look?! You have to introduce me to Yoshino-san, please!!!” you rambled as Yuta sighed
“We’ve watched this many times and you always say the same thing. That Tsukasa is the best and I went too hard on him during the fight” Yuta tsked as he turned off the TV
“YUTA!! HEY!! That’s not fair!! Just let me fangirl!!” you argued but Yuta didn’t budge
“C’mon, it’s late and we should really sleep. Plus, Hokuto, Ryoki and Kazuma-kun are coming tomorrow to visit. So, save up your fangirling self for tomorrow when you meet them” Yuta argued
“Hontoni?! They’re really coming?! Crap!! I need to plan out what I’m going to wear and how will I dress tomorrow. Yuta, you’re the best!!” you exclaimed as you jump to hug your best friend
“Yeah, yeah. Let’s just sleep alright. Thank me after you meet them tomorrow. Good night (y/n)” Yuta replied as the two of you went to your respective rooms to sleep
“Tomorrow can’t come any faster” you whispered to yourself as you fell asleep
As much as you wanted tomorrow to come faster, you still want your beauty sleep but unfortunately, you were suddenly woken up by a loud crash. Blinking a few times, you were confused about how you were suddenly outside and on the ground. Was this Yuta’s way of getting revenge on you for neglecting his character? There’s no way. Right?!
What’s even more confusing is that it doesn’t look like your neighbourhood at all. Looking around, you tried to find out where you were and even call out to Yuta. As you got up, another crash occurred, making you fall and worry started to creep up on you.
Rushing back to your feet, you tried to find out the source of the crash and when you took a peak, you noticed that it was Kawamura and Yoshino having a brawl against Yuta and Ryoki. Confused, you shouted at Yuta, telling him if this is how he typically greets his friends but instead of Yuta telling you off, the others suddenly stop fighting and what Kawamura said shocked you.
“Who the hell is Yuta? And do any of you know who this girl is?” Kawamura asked as Yuta slowly approached you and grabbed your wrist, pulling you with him
“She’s a friend of mine dan just came back from abroad. Apologies everyone. I’ll be back later. Fujio, Tsukasa, let’s finish the fight later. Amagai, I’ll catch up with you later” Yuta stated, pulling you along with him, away from everyone else
“Yuta?! W-what on earth?! Why did you call the others by their High & Low characters? Are you guys doing some sort of role-play? Because if you are, this isn’t funny” you commented as Yuta pulled you so that you were standing in front of him; his eyes were cold yet serious and concern
“I don’t know what happened when we were asleep or if is this just part of your imagination but we’re basically in the High & Low world. Those guys don’t know who Yuta is. They only know Ryo Suzaki. As for you, you don’t exist in this world. Well, maybe you do. But not in this country at least. You’re practically a foreigner here” Yuta mentioned, making you laugh
“Very funny Yuta. You and your friends are such good actors. You can cut the cameras and all the staff can come out now” you laughed but no one answered you, making you gulp
“I’m serious (y/n), this isn’t a joke. I woke up earlier than you and immediately, Amagai, Fujio and Tsukasa asked me if I was alright because we were in a middle of a brawl. Lucky enough, they believed me that I didn’t remember because I hit my head” Yuta explained yet you still didn’t believe him
“Look. I don’t know how the both of us got here but want or not, we have to blend in until we can find a way to get back to our own universe. Which means, don’t get overly attached to anyone. Especially when your character doesn’t even exist in the High & Low universe. Got it?” Yuta reminded and you quickly nodded
“You handle them, I’ll go look around and find some sort of clues that might help us” you stated, about to turn around until you heard Tsukasa speak
“Don’t think it’s a good idea for a girl to go around this neighbourhood on her own” Tsukasa stated, making you a bit annoyed
“I think I can handle myself well. Yu—I mean Suzaki has taught me a few things about self-defence. You boys can go back to your brawl since clearly, it’s a boys-only thing” you scoffed, disbelief that Tsukasa would say something like this that you were about to walk away when Fujio suddenly stood in front of you, blocking your way
“What my friend meant is that, while we’re sure that you can probably take care of yourself, it would be better if you were with us. Especially since Suzaki-san mentioned that you were from abroad. It tends to get rough around here” Fujio explained, offering you a smile
“I’m Hanaoka Fujio and my friend there is Takagi Tsukasa” Fujio mentioned, offering you his hand for a shake which you accepted
“(L/N) (Y/N). Please to meet you guys” you stuttered, making Fujio chuckle
Ever since that meeting, you’ve been hanging out with the 4 men more often. Heck, you even got to meet the other boys including Todoroki, the four Housen Killer Cops, Sachio and even the Suzuran house. You got along with all of them which made you happy even if deep down you knew that this was all just temporary. Despite so, you couldn’t understand why Tsukasa seemed colder towards you when everyone has been opening up.
It’s been almost a month since you and Yuta came into this universe but neither of you has stopped searching for clues on how to get back to your own world. Though it wasn’t easy, the both of you managed to gain some information that there was a shaman who could talk to spirits and souls from other dimensions. After some digging, you manage to find where the shaman lives and decided to go there yourself because Yuta had to accompany Amagai for who knows what.
The more you walk on your own, the more worried you become because while you’ve gone around the neighbourhood and met with the other factions, you were still unfamiliar with the deeper parts of the neighbourhood. But you couldn’t back down now. You need answers and as much as you want to hang out with the H&L characters, this wasn’t the way you wanted.
You walked through the forest but right before you could go any deeper, you noticed that several other people were surrounding the area. Not knowing who they were, you hid behind the trees and tried to eye what these people were doing.
What you found out was that these guys were a gang from a rural area of the city which makes them an unknown gang. However, when you got closer, you overheard that this gang was aiming to take down Oya High sometime when the main heads are out of town; which you realised that it could be now because right now the main Oya High leaders like Fujio and Tsukasa were out with Housen, Suzuran and even Senomon.
Though you wanted to go and find the shaman, you knew that you had to go back and warn Yuta and the others about this potential ambush. Without wasting any time, you rushed to go back and find Yuta and the others because who knows where those boys are.
You only managed to get away for a bit before getting startled by a rabbit and tripped, causing suspicion among the unknown gang. While they weren’t looking, you immediately got back up and run away but those gangs were used to the twist and turns of the forest that some managed to caught up to you, surrounding you.
Though you were intimidated, you weren’t going to show any fear to them. Especially when they called Yuta and his friends some nasty names; saying how those guys always have it easy and never understand the actual pain of fighting without any backups or without any good resources like the other schools.
Angered by the comments, you didn’t hesitate to take the first move and punched the life out of some of them. Sure, you weren’t as skillful as Yuta or the others; but you could definitely do some damage and outsmart them.
Unfortunately, when you thought that you outsmarted them, one of them came up from behind you and grabbed you by the ankle, making you fall forward; hard. Though you hit your head quite hard, you still managed to return the favour before getting away from the messed-up scene.
Tumblr media
Limping your way back, you tried to hang onto whatever it is that you can hold onto since your whole body felt like it was going to crumble any second now. Right when you just reached the Oya High gate, someone came up behind you that you instinctively tried to slap them but they managed to grab you.
Turns out, one of the gang members managed to sneak away and followed you. Unfortunately, because you had just finished fighting off the others, you barely had enough strength to pull away from this guy and he managed to grab you by the neck to the point where you started to lose your vision but at the same time the grip around your neck loosen and instead, a warm strong grip was around your waist.
“What the hell happened to you?!” you heard Tsukasa’s voice, his voice softer than how he normally talks when he was with you
“T-tsukasa…they, they’re coming. For the school. While everyone is…” you breathed out but your body gave up on you and you practically passed out, Tsukasa’s grip around your body tighten
“Hey, (y/n), what happened? Hey, wake up” Tsukasa mumbled, confused about what he should do especially when you passed out
Knowing that you wouldn’t say anything that you don't mean, Tsukasa called out some of his gang members to keep the guy that hurt you to be tamed while he gets you treated and get some answers from you first. But at the same time, he knew that while this guy was from an unknown gang, he can’t easily brush them off; especially when Fujio was out with other leaders.
Tsukasa made sure that some of the better fighters would guard around just in case if what you said about the school going to be attacked was true. Once he took you to the hospital and got you treated, he texted Fujio to let him and the others know on what happened.
While it seemed like Tsukasa only cared about the school and protecting his gang, he was actually worried about you. Sure, he didn’t have the greatest impression of you since he’s very much wary of any new person in the area; especially when he has never heard of them before. This is why when you first arrived and Yuta introduced you, Tsukasa was the first one that was suspicious of you. Girl or not, if you were a spy or someone that would come to destroy Oya High and SWORD, Tsukasa wouldn’t hesitate to put you down.
But as time passed, the more Tsukasa spied on you, the more he realised that you were truly someone outside of the area and even the country. You didn’t know a lot of things and the things you did know, Tsukasa assumed that it was because Yuta telling you stuff; not because you were from a whole different dimension.
Lately, Tsukasa has been keeping a closer eye on you. Not just to spy on you but also because there was just something about you that interest him. How you somehow managed to get close with the other guys not only in Oya High but also Housen and even Suzuran. Each school has taken a liking to you. Not only that, you just seemed too good to be true in Tsukasa’s eyes.
You weren’t the quiet or reserved kind of person. You were more outgoing and voiced out your opinions a lot. Even when you know that you would be outmatched, you kept going on and that is something that Tsukasa acknowledge about you.
When the nurse told Tsukasa that you were already treated and that you were currently resting. Tsukasa thanked the nurse and went into your room. Seeing you all bandaged angered Tsukasa that he swore he would make that unknown gang pay and even come to their knees to beg you for forgiveness once he was done with them.
Before Tuskasa could get closer to you, his phone rang and the other guys at Oya High told Tsukasa that he was right and some unknown gang was attacking the school. Despite being annoyed that he had to leave you, Tsukasa knew that you would be safer in the hospital.
Arriving back at Oya High, Tsukasa didn’t hesitate to knock some sense into everyone in the unknown gang. Their leader immediately fought head-to-head with Tsukasa which Tsukasa was more than happy to brawl with.
“Were you the one that started the attack on (y/n)?!” Tsukasa demanded, his eyes were sharp and angry at the same time
“Who? Oh, you mean that pesky girl in the forest? No, I didn’t touch her. But maybe I should have. To teach her a lesson and…” the leader spatted but Tsukasa immediately punched the leader. Hard.
“The fuck are you? An animal?!” Tsukasa growled, grabbing the leader by the collar and punching him over and over again to the point that the leader was unconscious, blood was dripping from his nose, mouth and Tsukasa’s knuckles
“Ya!! Tsukasa!!” Tsukasa heard Fujio shout, making the blonde stop
“What the hell happened around here? And why the hell are you beating someone until they’re unconscious?! Since when do you do that?!” Fujio snapped, pulling Tsukasa’s bloody wrist away from the beaten unconscious person under him
“Is it wrong? After what he and his men did to (y/n)?!” Tsukasa snapped back, getting off of the unconscious man and yanked his arm back, Yuta immediately came into the scene with the sound of your name
“What the hell happened to her?!” Yuta demanded
“She’s hospitalised right now. This guy and his entire gang were going to attack our school but somehow, (y/n) found out about it and rushed back to warn us but along the way, she was attacked. Badly. When I found her, one of them nearly choked her to death” Tsukasa explained, the other guys were now silent with the information
Before anyone can utter another word, Tsukasa’s phone rang and it was the nurse from the hospital, telling Tsukasa that you were finally awake and were searching for him. Without any more explanation, Tsukasa turned the phone off and rushed away to the hospital to see you.
Arriving at the hospital, Tsukasa didn’t even pay attention that he was pushing through some of the workers but once he got to your room and saw you sitting on your bed, never has Tsukasa felt this amount of relief. Seeing that Tsukasa was finally here, the nurse decided to give the two of you some privacy and left.
“H-hey, a-are you ok?” Tsukasa stuttered, scratching the back of his head as he took a chair and sat right beside your bed
“I think I should be the one asking you that” you replied, pointing at his bruised and bloody knuckles
“Oh. This. This is nothing” Tsukasa breathed out but you took his hand and a nearby cloth, wiping his bloody hand
“You shouldn’t fight so much. Who did you fight anyways? Were there that many people that attacked Oya High?” you asked, wiping Tsukasa’s hands clean from his own blood
“There were quite a lot but it didn’t matter. What mattered was that you got hurt because you were trying to warn us about the attack” Tsukasa explained but you just chuckled dryly
“Wh-what?” Tsukasa questioned as you put his hand back on the bed
“You never really cared nor did you spare me a glance when we first met. What changed?” you asked. It was Tsukasa’s turn to be nervous
You were right. Tsukasa never paid attention nor seemed to care about your sudden appearance. But he can’t help but be drawn to you. It was as if you were someone that he was looking for but when you were actually in front of him, Tsukasa just malfunctioned. He rarely encounters girls to begin with; let alone is interested in any of them.
“You’re right, this isn’t me. I’m not used to any of this yet nor do I know exactly how I feel but what I do know is that I was a coward. In the beginning, I thought that you were just some random girl that was probably a spy from Kuryu or something. But I spied on you, I realised that you were actually a regular girl that was just lost. I know that we didn’t start off well but if you’re alright to start over. If not, perhaps we can just try and get along, slowly…” Tsukasa replied, his hand making its way back on top of yours, caressing your hand
“Tsukasa…I hope that this isn’t a joke” you mumbled, not wanting to give in just yet
“I promise you that I want to start anew” Tsukasa replied back, intertwining your fingers together
But right when Tsukasa was leaning closer and you completely forgot about how you ended up in this world in the first place, Yuta came and stopped you both from going any further. His eyes were worried but sharp at the same time.
Noticing his glare, Tsukasa knew that Yuta would probably want to talk to you alone. “You don’t have to answer me now. I’ll wait for you this time. Get better soon alright? Let me know if you need anything” Tsukasa sighed, kissing your knuckles before excusing himself from the room.
Once he was sure that Tsukasa was out of the room, Yuta sat on the chair right by the bed and observed your current state before speaking up. “Where did you go before?” Yuta asked, still trying to process everything that has happened in the past few hours
“I got a lead about this shaman that would know how do we get back to our world. Along the way, I heard about that gang wanting to attack everyone in Oya High” you replied
“Then why didn’t you just go to the Shaman? Oya can take care of themselves. You didn’t have to go all the way back just to warn them. Look where it got you” Yuta cursed, making you jump a bit
“Well I’m sorry that I got attached to all of them. I love them not just as characters but who they are. Being in this world taught me that. I know we’re not supposed to think of this world as our own but the more I stay here and interact with everyone, the more that I care” you admitted, tears starting to build up
“I know. I know (y/n). I slowly also become attached and I guess that has become a problem for both of us. I know how much you adore Tsukasa but you can’t let him get close to you and vice versa. I’ll visit the shaman tomorrow and let you know once I come back. Until then, you have to set up some boundaries between you and the others; especially Tsukasa. Because from what I’ve seen, it seems like he has also grown attached to you in some way” Yuta suggested, holding your hands in his
“I know. I just. I feel bad. Turning down his feelings? Should we just tell them all the truth? Or at least let me go with you to the Shaman since the two of us are the ones that need to go back” you replied
“Fine. We’ll both go to the Shaman and once we got the answer from them, we’ll both go back to the others and tell them the truth” Yuta replied whilst hugging you, comforting you in the process
Tumblr media
The next day came sooner than you’d like. You were getting better and luckily enough, the nurse allowed you to be discharged. Yuta helped you get up and the two of you head out as early as possible. Mainly to avoid the other guys.
The two of you walked through the woods you went through the other day and made your way to the Shaman’s place. Once the two of you reached the place, you noticed that the Shaman was doing their daily activities but stopped the moment the two of you stopped right in front of their house.
“Begone you two lost souls” the shaman stated as the two of you stopped in your tracks
“Since you already know who we are, I’ll get straight to the point. How the hell do we get back to our own universe? Clearly, this universe isn’t ours” Yuta blurted out, trying to get close but for some reason it was as if there was an invisible barrier preventing him
“It’s not about how you get back. But about you truly letting go of this universe. All you had to do to get back was find me but it looks like one of you isn’t ready to go back just yet” the Shaman stated, looking at you specifically
“Not just her though. The boy in this universe is also not ready to let her go just yet” the Shaman added on, making the two of you confused
“(y/n)…” Yuta whispered, facing towards you but his gaze was somewhere else
Just as you turned around and followed Yuta’s gaze did you finally understand. Tsukasa and some of the other Oya High students were there along with other guys from Housen, Suzuran and even Senomon High.
“Tsukasa…” you whispered out, tears were finally starting to fall one after the other while Tsukasa looked at both you and Yuta in disbelief
“You lied. All this time. Both of you. We were all foolish to let you both, especially you…” Tsukasa stated, looking deeply into your figure. “I was foolish to think that we could actually connect. That we have some sort of bond” Tsukasa spotted, his words were practically like acupuncture needles but sharper and would prick deeper into your skin
“Tsukasa. Chotto matte kudasai (wait for a moment). Let me explain…” you tried to reason but Tsukasa already turned his back on you
“Go home (y/n). Your actual friends are probably waiting for you. I won’t hold you back. Goodbye (y/n)” Tsukasa stated about to walk away but stopped when you had an outburst
“How the hell am I supposed to go back knowing that you probably hate me?! I can’t go back even more now” you exclaimed, not holding back anymore tears
“That was on you. You knew where you came from. You knew that you didn’t belong here. Yet you still like as if you were part of this world” Tsukasa shouted back, making you flinch since you have never seen him get angry before
“Ya, Tsukasa. Say anything hurtful towards her again, I’ll knock you out again. You think someone can prevent themselves from feeling how they felt?! Don’t say shit like this when you too also felt something” Yuta growled back, making Tsukasa even more pissed off that he went and stood in front of Yuta and faced him
“You also have no say in this, Suzaki. Or whoever you are in his body” Tsukasa spotted but was immediately welcomed by Yuta’s punch
“You can say whatever shit you want about me but not her. You have no fucking idea how hard it was for her to hold herself back. Not to mention the way you first treated her. Yes, perhaps it was wrong of her to get close with the others. But you also didn’t give her a warm welcome, now did you? Yet yesterday you seemed to be the most fired up when she was hurt and now you’re saying as if her feelings weren’t valid at all” Yuta argued, throwing punches and kicks at Tsukasa which turned the whole meeting into an actual fight
The two didn’t back down for even just a breather. Yuta would throw punches whereas Tsukasa would dodge them and try to hit back. You were sick and tired of all this fighting which happened because of you that you decided that you should put an end to it but right when you were interrupting them, Tsukasa accidentally hit your side and you stumbled and fall, holding your sides while coughing out.
The second Tsukasa hit you, Yuta instinctively grabbed you as all the others that were there went to see if you were alright. Despite you and Yuta somewhat deceiving everyone, they all still cared about the two of you. Fujio especially held Tsukasa back and smacked his friend for what he had just done.
“YA!!! Wake up Tsukasa!! Do you not realise what you’re doing?!” Fujio shouted at his friend, punching him that Tsukasa was now on the ground yet his eyes never leaving your sight
“Ryo was right. You didn’t even consider how she must’ve felt. She’s not completely at fault. You were the one that told me that you also caught feelings yet now it seemed like you’re blaming it all on her? Look at where that anger brought you!!” Fujio rambled, gripping his hair out of frustration of his own friend
“Fujio!!!” Yuta shouted at the leader of Oya, grabbing everyone’s attention. “We’ll stay here. It’s best that the two of us distance ourselves from everyone. Especially (y/n). At least let me take care of her first before I explain everything to you all. I owe you all that” Yuta stated as Fujio nodded as a sign of acknowledgement
Thankfully, the Shaman allowed both Yuta and you to stay at their place, saying that it would be easier for the two; especially when the two are ready to go back to their own universe. Once Yuta helped you, he told you to rest and to figure out your own feelings as he was going to explain to the others what actually happened.
“I should go too. It’s not just you. I was the one who was most at fault” you mumbled, making Yuta sit back down beside you
“We all make mistakes (y/n). But don’t you ever think for a second that your feelings were not valid. If Tsukasa can’t man up and understand then he doesn’t deserve your feelings. I’m also just going to tell them about what actually is happening so that they would hopefully understand” Yuta replied back, tucking you in bed
“Yuta…” you breathed out, holding his hand, Yuta turned to wait for your statement. “Thank you. When we get back, I think I owe you that omakase dinner you wanted” you chuckled, making Yuta smile
“I look forward to it. I’ll be back” Yuta replied, patting your head then left to explain to the others who were waiting outside of the Shaman’s house
“Honestly, I didn’t expect that all of you would still be here” Yuta stated, putting his hands in the pocket of his pants
“We all wanted to know the truth. After then will we decide” Fujio stated as the others agreed
Yuta then told everyone the truth. How he and you were not from this universe and instead in a universe where he and most of the other High and Low characters are singers; which clearly shocked everyone. In addition, Yuta also told them all that in their universe, you were a close friend of his and was also a fan of everyone in the High & Low universe.
“So basically, all of us have an alternate self in your universe and even if you guys go back, there will be another us over there?” Fujio asked excitedly, making Yuta giggle
“Yes. There are you guys in our universe as well. But I will say this Tsukasa. Even if there is another you in our universe. (y/n) already had an attachment with you as a character but now I guess it’s safe to say that she truly has an attachment with you and even if she has to let everything that has happened here go, she will still have some sort of attachment towards you but not just as a character but an actual person” Yuta explained, silence immediately filled the air
It was when Yuta explained to Tsukasa did he realise that you clearly had more to lose since once you go back, you will have to continue with the fact that all of this might just seem like a dream since in your world, everyone in this world is basically fiction. Knowing that he doesn’t have much time left with you, Tsukasa just wanted to have one final conversation with you. To hopefully bring closure to the both of you before you both part ways. And hopefully not have any regrets when you two actually part ways.
“Hey…How are you feeling?” Tsukasa softly whispered, noticing that you were wide awake and sitting on the bed
“Hey…Am better now. Now I know why they call you the sleeping lion” you joked as Tsukasa went to sit next to you
“About what happened. I’m sorry. I really am. I was just mad about the sudden discovery that all I think about was if you hadn’t been so close to everyone, it wouldn’t be that hard to let go. But after what Ryo, I mean, Yuta said, I tried to see it from your shoes and I’m sorry. I just hope that we can have some closure and well” Tsukasa rambled, stuttering with his words, especially with the next words that he’s going to say. “I do like you too and I know this might seem a bad timing since you want to go back to your own universe but I just feel the need to say it because I don’t want to have any regrets. I know that it might be hard during the first few times after you leave but at least I won’t have any regrets. At least, I’m happy to be able to be honest with you about how I’ve felt” Tsukasa admitted as he held your hand in his
“Tsukasa…” you teared up, slightly hitting his chest while he hugged you, stroking your hair. “You really have one of the worst timing ever” you tried to joke as Tsukasa sighed in relief, holding you closer to him
Tumblr media
As you slowly opened your eyes, you scanned your surroundings and found yourself back at Yuta’s apartment. Looking at your phone, you noticed that not much time passed back in your universe.
Sighing, you got up and found Yuta asleep on the floor. You shook Yuta a few times until he finally woke up. Chuckled at his current state, you told him that you were going to make breakfast which Yuta thank you for and hit the shower.
As you made breakfast, the doorbell to Yuta’s apartment rang. Quickly, you turned off the stove and headed to see who it was. To your surprise, it was Ryoki, Kazuma and Hokuto, all in their casual wear but presentable enough just like when you were in high school about to hang out at your friend’s place.
“Hi. Sorry, did we come at a wrong time?” Kazuma asked politely which you shake your head, reassuring them that they didn’t and invited them into the house
“Hey (y/n), who is…Oh, hi guys” Yuta stated, making his appearance as he was also dressed. “Ahh right. This is (y/n), my best friend since before I moved to Korea. (y/n), this is Kazuma, Hokuto and Ryoki. Well, she knows all of you because she’s a fan of the High & Low movies. Plus, she’s a big fan of Tsukasa” Yuta blurted, making you blush and hit his bicep playfully, trying to hide your shyness as the other 3 male in front of you giggle
“Well (y/n). Pleased to meet you and thank you for being a fan. I think we’ll get along pretty well” Hokuto exclaimed, giving you one of the biggest smile you’ve seen him do
A/N: yeap, this almost 6k fic took me practically a month to write :') Anyways, I hope that you guys enjoy it and wow, it's been 3 years since I'm on Tumblr. Christmas Magic in the air

Christmas Magic in the air
________
Warnings: Extreme fluff, Mostly out of character Roa faction, Christmas romance fluff, Oc is a trans man (because I am gonna be the representation I wanted when I first started reading fanfics, though its only mentioned once or twice in the story), hopeless romantic fluff. Shitty writing, Also, I am clearly in a Christmas mood (this was written October 16th,2023 but I am posting it November first)
________
Yamaguchi Magoroku had met Sora Kenji while they were both in Suzuran together; they had secretly dated since the events of the fight against the three school alliance led by Amagai Kohei. Both men had loved each other longer than that, and when they had started their secret romance, they had not expected it to bloom the way it did. You see, Sora Kenji was transgender and he worried that he was going to lose the love of Magoroku very fast once he learned that. When the taller of the two who was 5 '11 found out though it was the opposite of what Kenji had expected. It had made  his high school sweetheart even more overprotective of him, made him want to keep him on a chain attached to him so they wouldn’t have to be apart. For the longest time, they spoke of the dream to move in together once graduating from the Suzuran school, and as the day of graduation skidded upon them like a speeding car, the Roa faction member pulled out two sets of keys, a bright smile on his face as he had secured a small apartment for the two of them. Summer turned to fall, which brought the joys of a cozy and warm home that smelled of Cinnamon and spice incense and a warm dinner. There was always some type of seasonal ambient music playing through the bluetooth speaker of the shorter male’s phone. Kenji was only five foot three and hated how short he was, so he tried to make up for it by doing the cleaning and cooking if Magoroku set out the proper things for it before leaving the house to go help Roa where they now worked together. Fall soon chilled into winter, and on a chilly November night, a fire crackling on the tv while playing Christmas music, two bodies sat snuggled on their couch wrapped in a large blanket, the smaller man sitting to his tall lover’s left, head laying on his chest. He had no clue that one of the reasons the entire Roa faction had been out more was that the once bubble gum popping male had gotten a few extra shifts to buy a gold wedding band with a ruby set into its thicker band. He was just waiting to find a time that felt right to propose.
“You know, this may sound silly, but I always used to dream of being kissed under mistletoe in the snow at Christmas, and proposed to on christmas eve in the snow fall with like, a beautiful lit tree behind me and my partner. I was told that it was more ‘girly’ by most because it sounds like a romance movie, but I always just found something so romantic about Christmas.” Kenji’s voice is deep but soft, he had a naturally deeper voice than his boyfriend, but they both loved it.
“ I feel like Christmas is definitely something that I could understand as being romantic. Especially if you are with someone you love.” Magoroku looked down at his darling, the shorter male’s raven hair was styled into a messy shaggy hairstyle with curls, his honey skin was glowing in the dimly light room, the pair had been wanting to start decorating soon, so they had boxes from their second room that they used as a storage room out, getting Christmas ready slowly. He knew when he would propose and how now. The excitement that ran through Magoroku was something that he was sure his darling could hear, his heart racing as he planned away in his head. He wanted it perfect, and he wanted to film it and make it for a part of his home video. He knew he would say yes, they had been talking about wanting to get married since their last year of high school started, and now that it was over, he knew they would take the leap this Christmas.
The tree had been set up, the apartment smelled like baked Christmas cookies and warm dinner, the Christmas tree incense was lit and going in the living room, holiday music playing through the record player speaker, and a candy cane apron was perched over the top of Kenji’s clothing as he baked and cooked for the night ahead. The Roa faction was coming over for a Christmas eve celebration, to open gifts and have dinner, as a group of happy friends before they all went to do their plans for the next day.  Magoroku was out getting the last minute stuff and picking up Mario, and soon the other faction members arrived, carrying gifts to be set under the beaming tree the couple had decorated. The group planned to have different people host each year and the two had volunteered. Everyone was soon gathered around the table laughing, looking back on their school years now that they had been out of it since summer, quickly approaching the one year mark. To Kenji, things felt right, they were warm, happy moments that he had always wanted with friends. Tomorrow, Christmas day, was just for him and his darling Magoroku, but tonight was friends that were like a close family, and he wouldn’t want it any other way. Dinner had been a hit, and now the rather large group was huddled by the tree, the small apartment not bothering any of them as they packed in like a can of sardines. Magoroku had planned with the others to let his present to Kenji be last, it was supposed to snow around 11:30 pm and that was the perfect time to do his plan. The presents were opened, some were more gag gifts with real ones given after to make the mood light, some were very deep and meaningful, and some were just what the other needed. As Mercy gathered all the discarded gift wrapping, Binzo slipped out, supposedly to use the bathroom, but in reality, he was hanging mistletoe from a spot near a lit Christmas tree outside, the cozy neighborhood that the soon to be fiances had settled into being perfect for the occasion. Luckily for him, the spot was only a few buildings down from the duplex that the hosts lived in and he was good friends with the old lady who lived close by.
“Oh look, it is snowing! We should all take a walk in it and take a group picture.” Bizo pipes after sneaking back inside, a bright smile on his face as he sent a wink to the way of his school friend to inform him the plan was a go. He knew that Roa was hiding the ring in his pocket until the right time, which was now because Kenji was in the kitchen with a Ito and  putting left overs into containers for everyone to take home.
Roa passed the ring in the black velvet box to his smaller friend and claps him on the back, “Mercy and I will be recording from different angles while Binzo stays up with the mistletoe so its perfect, though it is currently hanging from a post as a marker for where the plan goes into motion at.” The six foot three man whispers, the pride he felt for being apart of this was something that was no surprise of anyone else, because they all considered the shortest male as their brother and friend.
Soon enough, seven pairs of feet made their way to the best light display in the area, a grin laying on the face of Kenji, who held his lover’s hand as they walked in the falling snow, his heart full and his body bundled warm and cozy for this trek. He however felt confusion settle in the depths of his mind as his partner pulled his hand away and settled in a spot that Binzo was clearly perched on. Kenji raised an eyebrow as Ito nodded once, telling the short and perplexed male to go forward. Roa and Mercy pulled out cameras, Kansuke was softly playing music on his phone, just loud enough for the camera to hear, it was soft Christmas music that was all instrumental and sounded extremely romantic. Everyone had a part and suddenly, a feeling burned in the pit of Kenji’s stomach as he realized something, though currently he was unsure of what was in fact going on.
Magoroku grabbed the hands of his soon to be fiance, making sure that neither of them had gloves on for this part before doing so. He made deep eye contact and started speaking in the most love filled voice the other had ever heard. “Baby, we have been together through high and low, the worst of times, the best of times, and even the times that seemed almost like we would be bored if not for each other. We fall more in love every day and spend most nights talking about what the future holds. In November, you told me something important, something I will always remember now as we are here tonight. We planned our future out in high school, and I can’t let a moment slip away with you. I want to make sure that we will be forever one. You said that most found your cheese views on the Christmas eve proposal in the snow and locking it in with a kiss under mistletoe was cheesy, I find it to be the sweetest thing ever. And tonight I want to make that all come true for you. Sora Kenji, the love of my life, the one who brings out the best in me. I love you with all my heart and here I stand tonight to bring your wishes come true, and hopefully if you say yes to the question I am going to ask, I can promise a future of even more of your dreams come true. Will you marry me?”
By now, all seven people had teared up, even Binzo and as Kenji replied, his voice shook and cracked, a smile laced on his face as the Christmas lights cast their glow onto the group through the falling snow, “Y-yes. I will forever say yes to marrying you, Yamaguchi Magoroku.”
Binzo dropped the fishing wire that held the mistletoe down from the small tree he stood behind on a ladder while the ring slipped onto the newly engaged man’s finger. Magoroku looked up, smiled and kissed his lover’s lips, hands wrapped around the smaller’s waist  as he leaned down to kiss him.
It was that night that the movie clip for their engagement would be marked off for their wedding, and Christmas dreams came true. Christmas really was a magic time of year.
