Yeji

Yeji did not realize that you were behind her until her locker was suddenly slammed shut and she was suddenly pressed against it, an arm caging her in while a warm body was so close to hers that she could practically feel the warmth emitting from it. A gentle scent reached her nose, a familiar one, and Yeji suddenly felt a hand under her chin as it titled her head up to force her to look into the eyes that have been following her all day.

“Hey Yeji.” You husked gently, a smile on your face as you raised your eyebrow cutely at her as she went slack jawed at your sudden appearance. “How you doing?”

This was hardly the first time you have done this to Yeji, and yet every time she is startled and flushed at your close proximity, as well as going dizzy with the scent of your body cologne which seems to be your favorite, and has steadily over time become her own. Realizing that she was staring very obviously, she closed her mouth and cleared her throat before tugging her chin out from your grip, shrugging her shoulders.

“I’m okay.” She answered, attempting to look away from you so she would fall into a state of daydreaming again. But you didn’t allow her to, instead you lifted your hand to grip her chin again to force her to look at you, an exaggerated pout on your lips which was almost illegal because it just made your lips look a whole lot more kissable.

“Just okay? Hasn’t it gotten a little bit better in the last few minutes?”

While it sounded like you were concerned, Yeji knew that you simply wanted her to acknowledge that you did make her day a little better just by interacting with you. But it was not like Yeji was the only girl you did this to, you did it with everyone. It was well known in JYP High that you were a notorious flirt, and it did not matter if a girl was in a relationship or not. You always tried to shoot your shot and most of the time you were successful.

There was just something addicting about you. You simply managed to get the attention fo everyone in a room, and Yeji was not exempt from the said room. Even though she knows that there is no hope for you to take her seriously, she still allowed her heart to hold on a little piece of hope that you may just take her seriously, more than just another girl you flirted with.

“I suppose it has.” Yeji started, swallowing slightly before moistening her lips with her tongue as they suddenly felt very dry. Her heart shuddered when she noticed your eyes flint down to watch the movement before looking back into her eyes, your pout disappearing to be replaced with a delighted smile, a mischievous twinkle in your eye which only made her heart shudder even more.

It really was illegal for you to be so charming without even trying. No one else could ever make an effect on others like you did.

“Glad to hear it, although it would be nice if you were a little bit more clear with your feelings.” Even though she knew that you were not referring to her obvious feelings for you, Yeji’s heart couldn’t help but lurch in terror as the indication of your words, but it calmed down when you suddenly removed your hand from her chin to playfully tap her nose, your smile wide. “Smile if you are happy Yeji, you look even more beautiful when you smile.”

Even though it was something that you said to all girls, Yeji’s chest couldn’t help but warm at the compliment and a smile unconsciously crawled along her face, which immediately made your face light up on delight as you mirrored her bright smile, your finger moving down to trace the bow of her upper lip. You winked at you.

“There you go.”

Then just as quickly as you arrived, you left, pushing yourself off her locker and sparing her with one final wave before making your way down the school hallway, waving and winking at all the other girls as they turned to acknowledge you. Yeji watched your turned figure until you were finally enveloped in the crowded hallway, sighing and slumping against her locker in defeat while she attempted to calm her heart which was beating at a mile per minute.

You were illegal. An illegal substance which Yeji just cant seem to get enough of. She knows that you are never going to see her more than just another girl to flirt with at school, and yet she still deep down hopes that perhaps you will see her in a different light some day.

Lia

It is okay.

This is just a misunderstanding. There is no way that you would actually do this to her.

Lia kept chanting the words in her head, hoping that it will convince her that there was a logical explanation behind the photo sent to her by one of her friends who had left with you and the rest of the team for the end of year Championship games. But no matter which way she looked at the photo, it told her the exact same thing. It was as clear as a single cloud in the blue sky, there was no other way Lia could see it.

Your team had won the championship. It was a close game but JYP High had managed to pull through in the end and you and everyone else had decided to go out to celebrate. You were so happy and so excited, calling Lia not even two hours ago to tell her that the team had won. She was so happy for you, and she couldn’t wait for you and the team to return home so that the two of you could celebrate together along with your friends.

But it seemed like you got into the partying like you usually did before you decided to go steady with Lia, which consisted of you making out with other girls.

Not too long ago, Lia was one of those girls. With Lia being one of the school cheerleaders and you being a member of the school soccer team, it was only expected for the two of you to be quite involved with one another, especially since it was a known secret that Lia has had a crush on you since freshman year.

You were never one for relationships, always going through different girls with a lot of variety, but you mainly stuck to fellow jocks and cheerleaders because you simply preferred the similar backgrounds that they all had as fellow athletes. Everyone knew everybody, and everyone seemed to get closer than most friends would like usual. Lia at first was just someone that you regularly made out with at derbies, parties, and even at each others home when the two of you visited each other, but then you were prompted to try go steady with her, a first for you which Lia was proud to be.

But it seemed that the influence of spiked drinks at a party was all it took for you to forget that you had a girlfriend waiting for you at home, and who has discovered your little slip up courtesy to one of your teammates who happened to be one of Lia’s friends.

Her eyes first stung before finally becoming blurry with tears as her hand shook in front of her as she held onto her phone, the image burning itself into her mind until it was all she could see. The chants be damned, there was nothing that could make her unsee the image or make her not believe it. The evidence was very clearly in her hand, and even if you were to come up with some kind of excuse, there was no way that you would be able to talk yourself out of the fact that you betrayed her.

In a sudden burst of rage, Lia all but threw her phone against her bedroom wall and let out a scream, her tears streaming down her cheeks that she furiously tried to wipe away with her hands until she couldn’t help but crumble into her bed, sobbing heavily while the concerned voice of her parents were calling out to her from downstairs. But Lia ignored them, she just wanted the floor to swallow her up and take her away from this world just so that she can escape her pain.

Maybe she should have expected this, maybe she had gotten too comfortable. She was your first steady girlfriend, and even though it is a miracle itself that you decided to seriously date someone, it didn’t mean that you past habits were suddenly washed away. You were still you, just attached with a label with someone, but even a label can be crossed out with the right marker and it seemed that you found the right one which consisted of being away in another city away from Lia and out of sight from any of your or her shared friends that would catch you in the act.

But it seemed that you forgot that one of her friends was one of your teammates, and has just revealed your betrayal to her the same night you committed it. Would you have had come clean once you come home? Or would you have left her in the dark and continue the relationship with your crime going unpunished? Lia didn’t know, and quite honestly, she didn’t have the urge to think about it.

The only thing she could do was cry, and even though her parents finally walked upstairs and entered her bedroom, she could still only cry. It was the only way to lessen the pain.

Ryujin

She should have known better than to give you the benefit of the doubt. While Ryujin had promised herself not to fall for charms like every other girl in school, she couldn’t help but break her promise because aside from the strong, tough girl front she liked to put up, she was still a girl who had dreams of being loved and you were always someone who had a plentiful amount of love to give others.

But the problem was that you always gave it to everyone at the same time as the other.

You were resilient in your pursuit for Ryujin, always batting off her insults with a smile and dodging her punches like a pro boxer, not at all phased by her apparent dislike of you. In fact the one time when you had used the classic ‘Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?’ line on her, Ryujin decided to bat you away with her own line of ‘No, but I did scrape my knee crawling out of hell’. But instead of being batted away, you simply smiled at her and winked before delivering the smooth response of ‘that explains why you are so hot’.

She kept turning you down and was determined to keep doing so until the one day she surprised even herself when she agreed to go to a movie with you. But of cause she threatened to rip your arm off if you even thought to try pull some moves on her in the cinema, which you intelligently chose not to do. But following that movie date, Ryujin found her walls slowly lowering the more time she spent with you. You were charming and smart, witty to the point that Ryujin couldn’t help but laugh at very joke you would make. She found herself enjoying your company, and even at times yearning for it because you just made her feel lighter.

She started falling for you, and she was giving serious thought of giving you a chance.

You were not like most people who were intimidated by her demeanor, in fact you even embraced it. You fell into the same rhythm as Ryujin and marched to the beat of the same drum. While she was wary of your reputation, she thought that maybe perhaps you were different in comparison to it, that you were genuinely interested in breaking away from your usual relationship flamboyant ways and to try take a real chance in a relationship.

Ryujin thought that you genuinely had wanted a relationship with her, but it took one party to realize that it was just a whole gimmick that you were pulling.

When she had lost sight of you during the school dance, she went out looking for you, thinking that perhaps you got sidetracked from one of you friends or lost sight of her on the dance floor due to you errand and fetching some punch for the two of you. She looked for you for a while and could not find you in the dance hall, so she headed outside of it and started looking through the corridors, thinking that maybe you had gone to the bathroom.

And she did eventually find you, only she did not find you alone.

Ryujin felt the blood in her body freeze as she took in the sight of you pressing another girl against one of the lockers in the empty corridor, lips hot on hers while your hands were wrapped around her waist while the girl’s hands were tangled in your hair. You didn’t even realize that someone had walked in on you and your apparent new paramour until Ryujin scoffed, the sound making you rip away from the girl to stare at her with wide eyes.

“R-Ryujin-”

“You almost had me fooled.” Ryujin scoffed, her eyes stinging as liquid threatened to form in her eyes but by sheer will she refused to allow it. She blinked her eyes rapidly to stop it, not wanting you to see how upset she was with this whole new discovery.

“Ryujin wait, its not what it looks like-”

“Oh please, even you know that is a pathetic excuse. Let me guess, you tripped and fell?”

Even though you have expressed your interest in Ryujin, you were still a natural flirt and Ryujin has caught you many times looking and flirting with other girls. But you always assured her that it meant nothing, and you even apologized at the times she did catch you in the act. She decided to give you the benefit of the doubt and figured that it was simply a part of you that you were trying to break away from.

But she shouldn’t have done that, because you have now just proved that you were in fact just the same as always.

“Ryujin-”

“Just forget it.”

She honestly could not stomach being near you right now, not when she was clearly experiencing the first stages of heartbreak just like all the other girls in the past who were involved with you. Without giving you a chance to say anything else, Ryujin turned and walked away, intent to leave the dance entirely because now her night as been completely ruined. Even though you called out her name, she didn’t respond. She just kept walking away until she was out of the school building and finally given the privacy to let her tears fall.

Chaeryoung

Chaeryoung couldn’t help but whimper as your hand slipped under he shirt to caress the small part of her back while the two of you stood under the bleachers, sharing several passionate kisses with one another during the school break. Her fingers were tangled in your hair while your were around her waist, one becoming adventurous as your fingers spread along her skin, enjoying the warmth of her body against your palm.

You pulled away from her lips to give her a chance to breathe, but that did stop you from scattering her jaw and neck with kisses that burnt like embers from a fire. Chaeryoung squeezed her eyes shut and arched her neck to give you more space, which you immediately took advantage of as you settled on a part of her neck and began to gently suck at her skin, your teeth just grazing it enough to leave a noticeable bruise on her neck.

Chaeryoung gasped as you continued to suck at her neck, her fingers digging into your scalp on reflex which made you growl against her neck, the sound itself making Chaeryoung’s body overheat more than it already was. You continued to suck at her neck for a few more minutes before finally pulling away, a satisfied smile crawling along your lips as your eyes were fixed on the spot that you mouth was just attached to.

“Perfect.” You stated, leaning in to press a kiss to Chaeryoung’s lips before pulling away fully this time, your hands moving away from Chaeryoung’s waist to instead dig into your pocket to pull out your phone, checking your reflection in the screen. “Dammit, we’ve got five minutes to get to class. Sorry Chae, but we got to cut this short.”

You flashed her a smile before you hastily began to fix your hair, trying to flatten it due to Chaeryoung’s fingers making quite a mess of it. Instead of answering, Chaeryoung just nodded, grabbing her own phone to check out her reflection in the screen. Her eyes immediately widened at the red spot that has formed on her neck.

“Y/N!” Chaeryoung exclaimed, causing you to turn around and look at her questionably. Chaeryoung pointed at her neck and stared at you with a pointed look. “Look at what you did!”

You grinned.

“I know. Looks great right?”

“I don’t have a scarf or anything to cover it! Yeji and the others are going to make fun on me!”

“Why would they make fun of you? If you ask me, they’‘ll be jealous that they don’t have one to match.”

While you did not mean much by it, the words immediately made Chaeryoung freeze. While you and Chaeryoung had this some sort of arrangement to meet nearly every school break under the bleachers, it did not mean that the two of you were associated with only each other. Well, maybe not you.

Everyone, even her friends, are aware of how much of a good kisser you were. You had everyone in the palm of your hand, Chaeryoung included, and even though you had a known reputation of never being exclusive to everyone, you always seemed to have the ability to make a girl feel like they are the only one in the world for you. Only for you would always remind that you weren’t tied down to anyone, not even to the person that you were currently making out with.

A throb of pain went to her heart, but Chaeryoung tried her best to hide her pained expression as she flashed you a wobbly smile, nodding as she began to adjust her hair in a way to try hide the newly formed hickey. You smiled at Chaeryoung and stepped forward to cup her cheek, stroking it tenderly with her thumb.

‘Same time tomorrow?” You asked, or rather stated because no one has ever turned down a meeting with you under the bleachers, Chaeryoung included. She nodded with a smile.

“Of course.”

“Great. Catch you later gorgeous.”

You leaned in to press a final kiss to her lips before finally walking away, tucking your hands into your jacket pockets and whistling as you exited from under the bleachers and headed towards the school building, leaving Chaeryoung behind with her wounded pride and heart as you finished your last make out session with her for the day.

Yuna

You were the first person to take an interest in her, the first one to want to get to know more about her aside the few friends she has made already. Yuna was smitten the second she met you when you had shown her around the school and then invited her to her first high school party. On that same night, Yuna gave you her first kiss and many others followed after that, and yet she later learned that it was a steady tactic of yours that you always used to be able to kiss every single girl in school.

Its not like you were a bad person. You were sweet, kind, and warm - however, you proved to have a cruel side because you were very capable of breaking every girls heart, and at times you did it knowingly because you had an addiction that you suppressed by means of meeting up with other girls.

You were neither popular or unpopular, you were some sort of middle individual in all of the cliques of the school. You knew everyone and everyone knew you, and you new exactly how to slide in each individual social group to work your magic on some poor unsuspecting girl who happened to catch your eye. That is how you worked your magic on Yuna and her friends, joining them for lunch quite a few times before expertly pulling Yuna in with your undoubtable charms that just made her seem like the only girl in the world.

A smooth criminal who stole hearts, so slick and professional that it almost seemed like second nature to you, and the sad thing is that Yuna still fell for you even though she knew that you would just break her heart.

“Yuna, how many times have we told you that Y/N is just no good for you.” Yeji scolded, her hand tangled in her own hair as she combing it in frustration while she and the others sat at the lunch table in the cafeteria. Yuna flashed her a watery smile.

“You don’t know them like I do Yeji.”

“That’s what they all say until they are left in a puddle of their own tears.”

Yeji and the others simply didn’t understand you like she did. She knows a side of you that others don’t, she knows that you have a sensitive heart, that you are just trying to protect yourself from getting hurt like you in the past. She could help you, she could be the one that could heal your heart. She knows that she is the one for you, the special one who could truly show you what it was like to be loved.

She could be your everything, just like you said you were looking for.

“What Y/N and I have is different, they love me.”

“No, they love what you give them. Yuna, you have to respect yourself.”

“I respect myself just fine, it is you who is not respecting my choice to give Y/N a chance.”

“And how many chances are you going to give them until you realize that they are taking you for a ride. Y/N doesn’t do relationships Yuna, and every time a girl says that she will be the one to be able to fix them, they always end up with their hearts broken. I don’t want that to happen to you Yuna, you have to believe me when I say I am saying this for your own good.”

People are always telling her that you are going to break her heart. They say that you will entertain her for a small while, keep her around until you’ve had enough and then eventually discard her like some overused piece of gum. But they only judge you to how you behave in public, they have seen you at your most vulnerable like Yuna has. She knows that she is the one capable of making you experience a real sweet love during high school. Yuna knows that things between her and you were going to be different in comparison to the other girls in the past that tried to tame you.

“And I am saying that things will be different for Y/N and I. I love them Yeji, and I don’t think I need to keep telling you that they love me too.” Yuna said, grabbing a fistful of her skirt as she fixed a hard look to her older friend.

Yeji stared at Yuna with a hard look of her own, eventually shaking her head before she stood up and grabbed whatever left of her drink there was and spared Yuna with another look.

“There is no talking through to you. Just know Yuna, it isn’t going to end well for you. Nothing ever ends well for the girl who involves themself in the life of Y/N L/N, and I speak from experience.”

Before Yuna could retort or even contemplate the newly revealed information, Yeji turned and walked away, leaving Yuna behind as she decided to just allow her to experience what it meant to be heartbroken by Y/N L/N herself.

“You and Sunghoon were always known as the duo that were inseparable until sophomore year of high school started, you both started to drift and you notice how sunghoon has started to be bitchy towards you once he made his new friend group. Once you find your tight friend group you and your friends start to notice that sunghoon’s hatred for you was just jealousy.”

why is he like this? I thought to myself noticing how Sunghoon has been ignoring me time to time even though i did NOTHING.

“seems like you have a lot on your mind” Chaeryoung said setting down her food on the lunch table as I just sat there leaving my food untouched “yeah i don’t know why sunghoon keeps ignoring me” I watched Chaeryoung sit down beside me “he started acting like this when you started to date Beomgyu” Chaeyoung whispered noticing how the others including your boyfriend Beomgyu was coming over.

“i sense you guys are gossiping, what are you guys talking about?” Isa smiled taking a seat next to Chaeryoung “hi love” Beomgyu took a seat next to me then wrapping his arms around my waist as his head was all cozy on my shoulder “see what I mean, look how he is looking over here” Chaeryoung whispered to me as we both took a quick peek towards Sunghoon’s new friend group.

We all just ignored the stares coming from Sunghoons table and just regularly chatted and had fun enjoying each other’s company and stealing each other’s food.

“look who it is” Beomgyu looked behind us to see Jisung, Hueningkai, Keeho, and Theo all come back from their meeting with the football coach.

“how was the meeting?” I looked other at Theo who was just glaring at Beomgyu making all the attention go to Beomgyu.

Beomgyu noticed and quickly let go of me finally feeling free knowing my brother hates when we have PDA in front of him , “sorry” Beomgyu quickly mumbled making everyone at the table chuckle.

“the meeting went great we all got in the team and guess who else” Theo took a seat squishing Yuna and Hyeongjun, “who? bet it’s someone from THAT group” Chenle tilted his head towards the table Sunghoon was sitting at “yeah sadly” Theo rolled his eyes mad at the fact my “best friend” started to hangout with my brothers enemy group “why are you still even friends with that sunghoon guy anyways?” Jisung spoke with his face stuffed with food, not his food, Keeho’s food. Keeho noticed then continued to give Jisung multiple slaps all over him “don’t touch my food!” Keeho defensively whisper yelled.

“Sunghoon’s been my friend since 3rd grade, it’s hard to let go” I leaned my head down on Beomgyu’s should sensing tension once I mention Sunghoon’s name,

“he literally treated you like shit beginning of this year” Theo said starting to get defensive and over protective “I should talk to him about it later” I muttered as everyone else just agreed slightly “If he touches you or say shit to you we’re gonna have problems” Beomgyu and Theo said at the same time, surprised at how they said the exact words at the same time they both jumped out of their seats and high fived like how 7 year olds act.

Walking to my next class I spotted Sunghoon finally walking by himself giving you the chance to go up and talk to him.

“hey sunghoon!” I caught up to him as glanced at me with cold eyes “what do you want?” Sunghoon sternly muttered “i don’t know i just want to walk with you” I said looking away to see his friends behind us “so how have you been?” I asked trying to spark a conversation “bad now that you’re here”. Ouch.

“oh” I managed to say “look I don’t even know why you’re still talking to me still it’s clear you’re insignificant in my life now so leave me the fuck alone!” Sunghoon yelled facing me and grabbing my shoulders in a tight grip forcefully lungeing me into the lockers behind you two. thankfully barely anyone was out.

Sunghoon then noticed the change in your expression that went from happy, unsure, shocked, then scared. Sunghoon then realized what he had just done and quickly removed his hands off of you and backed up “look- i didn’t mean” Sunghoon tried talking back but all I was able to mutter was “so i’m insignificant to you now”,

“n-no you’re not i didn’t mean” Sunghoon tried speaking up again only to be cut off by Sunoo “Sunghoon that’s enough, she’s already hurt and terrified enough” Sunoo walked up to the both of you guys pushing Sunghoon away “sorry about him” which is all Sunoo was able to say before I just walked away without glancing twice to Sunghoon and his group.

“you fucked up” Is all that Sunoo said before running up to catch up to me.

"Please don't tell me you're about to drag us out to the track field again." Ryujin groans while hiding her face into her arms and Chaeryeong pouts at her friend's actions. "It's Y/n! She's getting ready for a competition!"

"She's been getting ready for a month and a half already." Ryujin deadpans, making her friend huff. "Come on, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind going since the cheer team is there, too." Jisu snickers from beside the shorter haired girl before feeling a nudge to her side.

But it doesn't deter her as she proceeds to join the conversation. "I mean, you could be watching Heejin instead, if you'd like."

The name makes the other's head perk up, glaring weakly at the older girl and Yeji chuckles when she takes a seat, having caught the last bit of the conversation. "She's going to deny it and keep saying that she's dating Hyunjin or something."

"They're best friends."

"Best friends could also be girlfriends."

"Oh, are we talking about Chaeryeong unnie and Y/n unnie or Ryujin unnie's crush?" Yuna joins the table with a playful grin on her face and Yeji giggles as she shakes her head at the glare on Ryujin's face, contrasting the blush that's crawling up her neck.

"Both." Chaeryeong grins happily. "But will you guys come, please?" She pleads with her best puppy dog eyes and pout, causing Yuna to squeal and nod her head. "Of course! You guys are so cute, it's like watching my own personal show."

"Well, I have been planning on checking the cheer team out. Nayeon unnie has been insistent that I, at least, try it out." Yeji shrugs, making Jisu do the same. "Why not? It's better than studying on my own. Plus I'm sure Y/n could use the boost."

Chaeryeong turned to face her best friend and Ryujin had to roll her eyes while stabbing her fork into her food. "Yeah, whatever." She grumbles, cheeks puffing up as she shoves her food into her mouth and Chaeryeong squeals in delight, clapping her hands in excitement.

"You guys are the best."

"Chaeryeong, hold up!"

Said girl paused in her step, not needing to look to know who was calling her as a bright smile adorned her features. Spinning on her heel, she's quick to open her arms and pull you flush against her body, making your smile match hers as you give her a soft squeeze.

"Where have you been running off to?" She asks when you pull apart, though her arms stay locked on yours as you both continue down the hall. "I didn't see you at lunch." She says, a pout threatening to come out, and you smile while pecking her cheek, cooing at the adorable little blush that comes after.

"I had to have a talk with Ms. Choi. She said she wanted to discuss a few tips for practice and that we're going to be making a new schedule so that the team can balance that and school work." You explain while tucking her hair behind her ear. "But that's just the boring stuff. Tell me about you, I haven't seen you since Physics."

Your girlfriend can't bite back her smile and she has to lower her head to hide her embarrassment.

Seriously, she's always getting so flustered around you despite being in a relationship this long.

"It's not boring. I like listening to you talk about track." She murmurs softly, her fingers lightly playing with the sleeve of your shirt. "But my day has been pretty good so far. I get to see you, after all." Her heart swells at the cute blush that comes to your cheeks when you laugh bashfully at her comeback. "And people say you're shy." You tease playfully, making her smile more as she rests her head against your shoulder.

"I am, you just give me a little bit more courage."

Kissing the top of her head, you both walk until you reach her next class. Words are barely exchanged as you enjoy the comfortable silence between you. And as soon as you stop in front of her classroom door, she turns to you. "The girls and I will be watching later. I hope that's okay."

Her heart melts a little bit as your expression brightens. "Of course! But I doubt all of them are going to be paying attention to us running." You chuckle and Chaeryeong giggles while nodding her head. "Help me out with Ryujin. She needs to do something about that crush of hers."

You smile in understanding. "Well, if it helps, Heejin isn't with Hyunjin anymore. But I'm not sure she's going to be quick with jumping into another relationship." At that, your girlfriend's eyes widened. "Wait, they were really dating?"

Shrugging, you adjust the straps of your bag. "They tried it, but it didn't last too long, maybe two or three months. They both agreed that they were both better off being just best friends." Chaeryeong's expression didn't change as you explained and she lightly hit your shoulder. "Why didn't you tell me sooner! I could have pushed Ryujin more into trying!"

You shake your head with a light laugh before pinching her cheek. "Because my friends need a little bit of a breather. Ryujin is nice and I do trust her, but what Heejin needs right now is a shoulder to lean on." Your girlfriend gives your shoulder a playful push in return. "You're sounding as though you like her." She teases and you immediately shake your head.

"I love Heejin, but that's never gonna go past being a sister. You, on the other hand, are a completely different case where I can go on forever." You say with a cheesy grin. "But your next class is about to start." You end while gesturing to the time and she pouts with the idea of having to let you go again, but you're quick to wipe that away with a gentle kiss to her lips.

"I'll see you later, okay?" You give her a quick peck on the forehead before nudging her into her classroom, mimicking each other's smiles as she waves you goodbye.

Only when you see that she's reached her desk do you turn and finally head to your own classroom, which is only two more rooms down the hall.

"If you find someone who acts like Y/n, give me a call next time." The smile doesn't leave your girlfriend's face when her friend takes the seat beside her. "Not only is she good with her studies, but she's also good at sports and being a girlfriend."

"She's also a really nice friend, too." Chaeryeong adds, and Minjeong's expression shifts into confusion before the latter goes on to explain your conversation on the way to class.

And the latter is absolutely in complete awe as her mouth falls open, but quickly picks it back up when the teacher steps into the room and begins the lecture.

"Oh, my god, forget about a relationship. Can she be my best friend instead?" Minjeong asks and Chaeryeong had to stifle a giggle before she nodded her head. "I think I can introduce you to her." She agreed before an idea popped up. "But I think she can get you a date, so that's a best friend and potential girlfriend if you'd like."

The girl's eyes widened, a blush forming on her cheeks before she smacked the girl's arm in a playful manner. "I'll literally treat you for a whole week if that happens."

Sadly, the conversation doesn't end there though, because Minjeong remembers a bit of detail with Chaeryeong's closer circle of friends. "Do you plan on telling Ryujin?" She questions and Chaeryeong shakes her head, a frown pulling at her lips.

"Didn't you listen to what I told you? Y/n said that Heejin needs space." But Minjeong only rolls her eyes. "Heejin needs a friend. Ryujin just so happens to be friends with her already. If she shows Heejin that she cares and sticks by her, she could maybe fall in love and then bam!" She even makes a show of pounding her fist against her other palm and Chaeryeong has to hide her face with a silent groan because, of course, Kim Minjeong just had to come up with the cheesiest romantic trope she could possibly set Ryujin up with.

"It's a bad idea."

"How is it a bad idea?" Jisu throws her hands up in exasperation. "This is Ryujin's chance to woo the girl!" Yeji makes a face and Yuna has to stop herself from laughing out loud while the other two merely cover their faces.

"For one, Ryujin unnie is too stubborn to admit that she likes Heejin unnie." The maknae points out. "And second, Y/n is right. She knows Heejin best and jumping into a relationship after just ending one doesn't seem like something she would do, based on what I personally know about her." Yeji adds while fixing her ponytail.

"I'm not saying to ask her out right away. I'm just saying-"

Jisu's explanation is cut off by a sharp whistle and Chaeryeong perks up when she sees you alongside some of your seniors, Kim Yoohyeon and Ha Sooyoung, running from the starting point.

There are a few students lingering in the field. There are those waiting for their friends, some of which Chaeryeong is quick to recognize as Yoohyeon's group of friends and then Sooyoung's, due to how often she came to watch you whenever you were practicing.

Since the cheer team was also there, it also made sense why some of their groups were present. Like Yeji mentioned, Im Nayeon's group was around, waiting for her. And then another group mainly consisting of foreigners was waiting for a girl she remembers as Honda Hitomi.

There weren't really that many people after school to watch, but with the upcoming match, students were buzzing with excitement, ready to cheer the school on and showing support for their friends.

"And we've lost her, ladies and gentlemen." Ryujin announces when they see Chaeryeong's eyes following your figure running down the field with extreme focus.

She's biting her lip, anxious. Because even if you were a great runner, accidents always happen, and she's not ready for you to get injured, this time especially with the meet not too far away.

"You'll be joining her in a little while." Ryujin huffs when Yuna points to the side and the girls in matching uniforms begin to stretch their arms and legs before going into formation.

"But going back to the topic, Ryujin." Said girl snaps back to her friends when the eldest spoke up, eyes also trained on the group of girls and watching them start their routine. "While I think you should give her time, I also agree that it's a good idea to be there for her, just be someone she can lean on."

"Who knows, maybe you could end up like Chaeryeong and Y/n." Jisu shrugs, gesturing to the girl between them, watching with a lovestruck look on her face and looking as though she couldn't even hear them.

While it may have been a while already, the girls did find it endearing how you both looked at each other when the other wasn't looking. They could see clearly how much you were actually enamored with one another and they were happy that their friend found someone who treated her the way she deserved.

"God, if you guys ever decide to break up, then that's it. I won't ever believe in love." Yuna pipes up after a while and Chaeryeong's head quickly turns to the maknae, surprised by her sudden statement. "What?"

"You guys are literally perfect. Even your unnie loves the fact that you're dating Y/n." At the mention of her sister, Chaeryeong had to whine when she remembered the first time she had to introduce you to her once you started dating.

Of course, Chaeyeon already knew who you were thanks to Heejin, who was quick to befriend Hitomi. But she also knew you due to your performance in the track team.

At first, she may have been a bit wary, afraid that you weren't capable of keeping up with your grades and track. Adding a relationship to all that, she was scared that maybe you wouldn't be capable of taking care of her little sister but you were able to convince her otherwise. And somehow along the way, the older Lee was pretty much fond of you, too, welcoming you into the family with open arms and even vouching for you when Chaeryeong finally decided to introduce you to their parents.

"Unnie sometimes makes me think that I have two mothers, it's scary." Ryujin claps her shoulder and grins assuringly. "That's what siblings do. At least she isn't trying to get rid of Y/n."

"Very true. Would you rather she hates Y/n and you together?" Yeji asks rhetorically and Chaeryeong's eyes widen at the thought. "Of course not! I don't think I could handle it if my family didn't approve of us dating." She says with a pout and her friends all smile in return.

Finally, your girlfriend sees you reach the finish line and a new trio gets ready for their turn while you hunch over and catch your breath. Flashing your seniors a grin, you see them off as the whistle blows and you are given time to rest and stretch your legs.

She sees you looking around, and as soon as your eyes meet, she offers you a grin before waving her hand, one you happily return before Lee Soojin, one of your classmates and teammate, patted your arm before asking for your help.

Flashing one more smile, you then turn to your friend before the both of you start to address the newer members of the team.

"Hey, we were right. Ryujin unnie can't hear us." Yuna muses, pointing to the girl who was silently staring at the cheer team and Chaeryeong hadn't even realized that Yeji left to speak with their senior in the said team.

"I wasn't staring!"

Taking in a deep breath, you do your best to let your muscles relax. Bouncing on your feet, you try to shake off your nerves while waiting for your coach to call for you.

The sound of people screaming and cheering only amplified your nervousness, but a hand on your shoulder quickly snapped you out of it. When you look over, Chaeryeong gives your shoulder a small squeeze along with an encouraging smile.

"Don't tell me you're about to run away from the field." She teases and you can't help but crack a smile, too. "I mean I was close to doing it, but you came and reminded me that you're going to watch." You reply, shoulders slowly relaxing and she giggles before moving her hand down to grab yours, intertwining your fingers together. "You're going to do amazing out there."

You let out a slow breath before flashing her a small smile and then nodding your head in thanks.

With one last kiss to your cheek, your girlfriend watches you head out to the field before she goes to join her friends at the benches, her own heart beating wildly in excitement.

She couldn't hide the fact that maybe she was just as anxious as you were.

"Pep talk?" Yeji asks as soon as she's seated and the younger girl nodded her head. "Nothing new, but it's okay. She can do it."

Ryujin nods, eyes trained on the field before she's turning to the eldest of their little group. "Are you really joining?" She can't help but ask and Jisu snorts while Yuna smirks, both being ignored by the girl as she focuses on the eldest.

"Yeah. Nayeon unnie seemed really excited about it, too." She shrugs before the shorter one nodded and leaned back just as the runners got to position and Chaeryeong's body sat upright, eyes trained on your figure as you stretched your arms and legs.

While she knows you were nervous, it didn't change the fact that she was more than ready to see you cross that finish line first.

She didn't mean to brag, but you were on that team for a reason, and if anyone asked her who she thinks will win, she would pick you in a heartbeat. Not because she was biased, she just knew.

Everyone waited with bated breaths when the referee started to count, raising his whistle to his lips. In moments, your body moved as soon as the whistle went off and the screaming began to fill her ears once more.

Chaeryeong was among those people, along with her friends.

"Go Y/n unnie! Kick their butts!" Yuna squealed, even kicking the air as demonstration and Jisu chuckled when Ryujin's focus trained on you, too. "Let's go L/n! Show them you're not a wimp!"

Chaeryeong couldn't help but smile at how supportive her friends were. You weren’t the closest, but she appreciated how well you got with all of them despite that, the same way you were happy whenever she spent time with your own circle of friends.

The race seemed to go on forever, but the cheering only intensified when you were getting closer to the finish line, one of your competitors not too far behind. And she had to admit, she had to suck in a deep breath when the two of you began to run side by side.

No, no. You couldn't lose.

With a deep intake of breath, your girlfriend stood up and cupped her hands around her mouth before shouting at the top of her lungs. "Go Y/n! You can do it! I love you!"

It looked like she was loud enough despite the shouting, because your head turned a fracture before the corners of your lips quirked up.

With newfound vigor, you push yourself harder and put a noticeable enough distance between you and your competitor before finally, the finish line was within your reach and you ran past it with a huff, making your friends and girlfriend scream louder.

Chaeryeong swears that she was falling in love all over again with that wide grin on your face despite looking a little flushed. You were hunched over and catching your breath while your friends all came and congratulated you.

But when you turn your head in her direction to find her, she's already looking and warmth is quick to fill your chest when you see the proud look all through your girlfriend's face. She was absolutely glowing with pride and your grin only widened when she shouted.

"That's my girlfriend!"

You feel a small shove to your shoulder and you laugh when your friends begin to tease you, but you know it’s all in good nature.

When the event is over, you’re quick to see the group coming over and smile when Chaeryeong breaks into a sprint before throwing herself into your awaiting arms. You’re glad that you were given a chance to clean up while the entire event went on, so you have no qualms when she rests her chin on your shoulder and adds a soft squeeze.

“I told you, you would do amazing.” She mumbles and you chuckle before pressing a kiss to her temple. “That’s only because I had you with me.” You tell her and she can feel a blush creeping up her cheeks before giving you a playful push. “I feel like you only did that so I would cheer for you.”

With a cheeky grin, you give her cheek a peck before taking her hand. “I wouldn’t have gotten through that race without you, I swear. Hearing your voice reminded me why I was competing in the first place.” She pauses for a moment, letting your words sink in, and the meaningful smile on your face makes her shy all of a sudden.

If it wasn’t for Ryujin clapping you on the back, she would have just hidden in embarrassment. “Congrats, Y/n. You actually had us worried for a moment there.” She teases and you smile before pointing to the girl beside you. “If she’s around, there’s no need to be worried.”

“Stop it.” Chaeryeong whines, but her friends only laugh at your display before Yuna and Yeji were nudging Ryujin’s shoulder as your own group of friends decided to join you.

“Y/n, are you coming to the party?” Heejin beamed, waving to the group - Chaeryeong in particular, who reciprocated the action. “You guys can come, too! Haseul unnie said it would be nice to have everyone over.” She exclaims and Ryujin could feel her breath hitch as Hyunjin glanced over at her, but was quick to look away.

You blink at the three before shaking your head and offering a smile. “Yeah, I don’t mind.” You turn to your girlfriend and her friends before they’re all nodding in agreement. “Sure thing!” Yeji cheers. “Is Jiwoo unnie going to be there, too? I have some stuff to ask her.” She inquires and Heejin is quick to confirm.

“Chuu unnie is going to be there. She’s been more than excited for this.” She explains with a laugh and the group is quick to agree. “Alright, we’ll meet you there.”

Everyone goes to their respective vehicles, you and Chaeryeong lagging a bit behind and watching as everyone happily chatted about the day.

“I’m proud of you, you know?” She suddenly says and you hum as you play with her fingers. “Well, I had you. So, it’s safe to say you had a part with that win.” You tell her and she pokes your cheek with her free hand.

“That was all you.” She retorts and you shake your head, pausing in your steps to face her, prompting her to do the same. “If it weren’t for you, I probably would have chickened out and left.”

“You’ve been my biggest support throughout this year and I’m nothing but grateful to have you in my life.” You tell her with that same sparkle in your eyes. “I hope that, someday, I can return the favor.” You whisper and she can’t help but smile before pushing your hair away from your face and pressing her palm against your cheek.

You can feel her smiling against your lips as she kisses you, and she pulls away, just a bit to look into your eyes. “Being my girlfriend and loving me the way you do… I think you’ve more than returned it already.”
