my football team is so hopeless

#not dortmund lol i mean the club i play at myself #it makes me want to quit ngl #there are just so many things i'm fed up with #at times it's not fun anymore #i like playing football but there's just a lot wrong with this team #but i'm mostly just hanging around because i don't want to let my coach down like he cares and genuinly seems like a good coach #the only thing which gives me a bit of hope #and i hate letting people down 😅 that and also i hate giving up #but i have never seen a team more hopeless or felt more hopeless playing a sport 😅 #and he apparently thinks i'm kind of important to the team which i kind of get but also it doesn't really make a difference... #we're just so hopeless i can’t turn this around lol #i always start and i hope it continues but there's not much i can do #we just have too many people who don't care last match so many have given up #some of our team just refuse to run or move at some point it's awful #like why can't you try #we always loose so high like what's the point but still don't give up #besides that the endurance (and also sprint speed) of most is awful which could be trained to a point #but whenever the coach tries to do that almost no one shows up 💀 #and i usually play wing or outside midfielder but i'm supposed to also be a defender apparently what #whenever we get a goal on my side and i'm not back in defence someone moans at me like that's my fault #i get working back but i can’t be everywhere especially when some people don't move #and i actually try to get the ball foreward or try to get the ball back in the front because i don't give up when we're behind #i want to score goals and not settle with loosing and only sit back to do defence anymore #naturally there will be open spaces when i try to do that but how is giving up better even when it's hopeless we could still try scoring #and i can't be everywhere they should try my position they would never last 90min running like i do #besides i'm already exausted each week from my training before like i do sports 2-3 hours 6 or 7 days a week #unfortunately i have to because once again i'm trying some entrance exam (for sports to become a teach in sports and english hopefully) #asides from that i don't like most of the people at my club 😅 it feels a bit like highschool again and i didn't like highschool #so many are ignorant and judgemental #like the girl i told you about with her comment about the cleaning lady instead of wanting to clean up her stuff herself 🙄

I’m both a gifted kid and the kid that was kicked out of the gifted program for being a chaos gremlin* and then had multiple years of teachers Decide(tm) that I was being a troublemaker for kicks, and then have to listen to constant shit. Like one time we had a test on naming all the world’s seas. I actually fuckin studied for that one (because I love Categorization! You gotta be able to put everything in its box!) but partway through I realized the teacher just put everything as question 1) A. question 2) B. question 3) C. ‘Neat pattern!’ I thought, but I also didn’t trust her to start a pattern like that without twisting it up in the end to play Gotcha, so I answered them all based on the right name, not by knowing the alphabet. I finished before everyone else. She picked it up and in front of everyone (!) who were still working (!!!!) she said something like ‘I see you figured out what I was doing.’

Instead of, you know, acknowledging that I was doing what teachers are supposed to want: answering tests correctly.

Tldr, I got into a real dark place after years of that shit. Why keep putting effort into shit if it is only EVER going to get thrown back in my face? Thankfully by the time I got to 7th grade and started having one teacher per class instead of one teacher per day, I was able to have less exposure so they didn’t build up as much animosity. I didn’t graduate top ten, bc FUCK math, but I did finish 12th in my class, I did go on to a good college, and I did get a good job. But seriously, fuck every single one of those teachers who treated me like I was evil incarnate bc I couldn’t behave like everyone else.

* I didn’t get diagnosed autistic til I was 33. Now to be fair idk if my school ever did talk to my mom to encourage her to pursue a diagnosis back then, but this WAS the 90s in middle America and I WAS a girl, so it’s equally likely they didn’t even consider it.

TYLER ‘TOFFEE TRUFFLE’ TOFFOLI GOT HIS FIRST DEVILS HAT TRICK!! just coming off his first goal as a devil, too! GO NEW UNCLE!! YOU SLAYED TONIGHT, QUEEN! first slide was my reaction to his empty net hatty goal!!

but before those three goals could happen, we had to kick off the scoring somehow! and what better way to do it than with a Holtzy goal!! congrats on your first of the season!!

and squished in there between those three goals, CAPTAIN SWISS GOT HIS FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON! TWICE! one goal WAS taken away for goalie interference— but don’t worry your slutty lil mind, Neeks, because it still counts in my heart!

my not-so-sweet, bff4l-ttylxox, maraschino cherry got a penalty for roughing— i missed what he actually did because i was climbing into the penalty box (btw if you have pics of that, please delete them, i can’t have evidence of me breaking into jail), but i’ve decided in my head that he punched a guy to defend me. and if he didn’t… what a bitch

yourusername welcome to my postgame penalty box show: panthers playoff hockey edition! the stars lost so i’m in full support of the rat— i mean matty t show! (i call matthew “matty t”) (since i was a freahman) (for those wondering)

matty t played a matthew tkachuk edition of a hat trick tonight— two misconducts and a goal! (peep the seventh side where he’s holding his stick, obviously showing off the one he just used to score to his team!) AND he broke his mouth guard, so he had to get a new one for the third, shot a rat to the boards that was thrown on the ice when he scored, got shoved into the knights’s net, and a got into a lil scrum! what a legend <3 (this autocorrected to leg day, but i fixed it!)

for those not counting: tonight, matty t got his third and fourth misconduct of the entire off season, and his second and third misconduct of this series! he has FOURTEEN total penalties of all types this off season! (rat) king shit!

you two have lowkey been dating for like almost two months before you go on your first official date

with his hockey schedule, it’s hard to make time for a nice sit-down date like he wants to take you on

but when he finally plans yalls first official date it’s ridiculous

he brings you flowers ( because you told him to.)

takes you to a nice restaurant and uses his fake id to buy wine

acts like this is the first time you guys have ever talked in your entire life

“So tell me about yourself, what’s your major?”

acts like that for a good 15 minutes

looks at the menu for all of two seconds before going

“this shit is so fancy I can’t even read it”

accidentally orders a 200-dollar steak

“i guess my dads paying for dinner tonight”

his personal goal was to not bring up hockey

almost passed but evidently failed because one of his teammates texted him the score of a game going on

“honestly I don’t really care about this game but kinda hope northeastern wins because then we play them next week and they’ll be way easier to beat”
