°•☆My Brush set °•☆

I use all default brushes, ibispaint has tons of brushes so I just found the ones the suits me best and these are my top 7. I don't use many brushes that's just causes confusion for me, just a selected few and these ones works like magic. Also I have forced fade out on for all of em' cuz that makes it easier to get that tapered end look. I added thier settings too if it helps.

For sketch and line art:

1) Pen (Fade) :

☆ It is so smooth and works well for either sketch or line art. I usually clean my sketch and outline a bit cuz' line art takes a lot of time. I sketch with it and if I choose to do line art I prefer itnas well. It could also be used for coloring like laying out flat colors I use I for that too sometimes.

2) Pencil (graphite):

☆ This one is so good for sketch and line art. It's very similar to pen fade but has a more softer feels. I love both of them and use them very often.

For coloring/rendering :

1)Fade Watercolor (Mix 2):

☆ Yes!! this is all I need for coloring and rendering, it is a life saver for me. It blends so well and is so smooth with the coloring. I can't believe I found a perfect brush to both color and render with. It has to be modified in the settings first if the wetness is too high is would be almost invisible. You can see how I set it. I even use it for the hairs. I use it for hard shading too so you can tell how much I love this brush, it's my lifeline haha.

For hairs (when I am to lazy to draw them):

1) Round Brush (Real):

☆ It gives a very hair like texture, even tho ibispaint has other brushes for hairs I use this one cuz it's smoother. I usually have a line art for hairs as well but with black hairs ,when I am too lazy, I use this. I haven't used it for a hairs which are other than black I use the fade water color one for them.

Highlights:

1) Dip Pen (Hard) :

☆ Highlights needs to be shape especially for eyes I use this for them and I also use this when I need to make certain things more defined.

For Soft Shading (iconic airbrush):

1) Airbrush (Trapzoid 40%) :

☆ I use this one there isn't any specific reason why tho. Many people say shading with airbrush can make your art look bad which is only true if you don't know how to use it well or overuse it. Airbrush is great for soft shading like blush and it could be used to add a soft hint of color here and there.

For pencil sketch feels:

1) Pencil (#1) :

☆ For more stylized feels, if you want to style your art to look like a pencil sketch this one is it. It's texture is similar to pencil's and it is good for line art as well.

->The brushes you use can make a lot of difference, you have to do a lot of trial and error to see which ones make your art glow and works like magic for you. If you find any these work the same for you I would be glad. You don't have to use a lot of brushes but if you have a artstyle that demands a lot of brushes than you do you.

Of course! 🥰 I'm a bit sleepy at the moment so apologies if this is a bit rambly, but here it goes:

Top 5 Favorite Characters and why I love them:

Andrew Minyard

Andrew is a character of extremes, and I love him for it. He's a deeply flawed and tragic character but also incredibly interesting and lovable despite his asshole tendencies. I love him because he's willing to get his hands dirty to protect the people he loves. He's also incredibly self-sacrificing to the point of self-destruction, and very few people in-universe seem to realize that.

Neil Josten

Oh, Neil. Oblivious, paranoid, cutthroat Neil. His POV as a narrator reveals a shocking amount of depth behind his character. The way he shifts from a robotic, disinterested tone when discussing anything but Exy to describing Andrew in the most poetic terms possible... it just reveals so much about his feelings that even he might not be award of. I adore how even when he learns the meaning of empathy and friendship, he's still the ruthless, protagonist with an attitude problem that we've all come to love

Aaron Minyard

Aaron my beloved ❤ he is often unfairly maligned in the fandom, in my opinion, mainly because of his rocky relationship with Andrew and outright hostile relationship with the series narrator, Neil. Aaron is just trying to live his life and get through pre-med when all this shit starts going down. He craves normalcy and stability, which given his chaotic childhood is a perfectly understandable reaction, and he just happened to end up with a team full of the most unstable, extreme people on the planet. Even though Aaron himself is far from normal, he likes to pretend he is so that he can blend into the background unnoticed. There's a lot of depth behind his character that I think the fandom writes off because of some of his comments towards Nicky, which is really a shame. Anyway, love him, love to analyze him, he's in the top 3

Renee Walker

I have a... love/hate relationship with Renee. I think in the fandom she's often portrayed as this sweet Christian girl with a hidden badass side - which are all true! She is those things! However, I think some of the more interesting and flawed parts of her character are overlooked. Renee is very much a bad person trying to be a good person in the sense that she is not nearly as good as she pretends to be. She is very much "faking it until she makes it" in terms of having a real moral code. Yes, she tries to play the role of peacemaker, but notice how despite her apparent friendship with Andrew, she never tells the upperclassmen not to call him "monster". Sure, maybe Andrew wouldn't appreciate it or thank her if she did, but it shouldn't matter. A real friend would stick up for him anyway, but Renee doesn't do that. She'll only bother to try and resolve conflict if there's no risk for her. I love that about her though - she's still flawed despite being further along in her healing than some of the younger Foxes, and that makes her way more interesting than the "nice Christian girl" persona she likes to wear.

Matt Boyd

To put it simply - Matt Boyd is the older brother everyone wishes they had. He's fun, he's kind, he's chill, but he's had his own issues and problems in life too. I like to think Matt eventually becomes friends with Andrew's lot, that things settle enough between all of them by the time he hits senior year that they can all go to Eden's again with no hard feelings.

My Top 5 favorite Moments:

The Riko Roast - I'm fairly sure this is many people's favorite. It is such a good "oh shit" moment and it's one of the biggest glimpses we get of Neil's real, unfiltered personality where all the Foxes can see it. Plus, Riko deserved every word of that roast (and more, tbh)

Andrew and Neil's conversation in the locker room where he gives Neil the phone. It's the moment where Neil genuinely starts to get curious about Andrew, where he begins to question Andrew back and take an interest in him. This, I think, is where Neil starts to consider the possibility of trusting and opening up to Andrew for real. It's also blatant flirting on Andrew's part, which is hilarious to reread in hindsight because Neil was just so oblivious at the time.

The motel scene in Baltimore where the boys are finally reunited. It hurts my heart every time and yet it is SO GOOD.

❤ boys !! atsumu, oikawa, bokuto, kuroo

❤ author notes !! a very very quick one because, once again, i’m working late and need to be saved from my job.

❤ atsumu !!

so many, honestly. the gift-giving starts in the morning when you wake up to your favorite breakfast takeout and fresh coffee from your favorite store, plus a bunch of really sweet, really atsumu-esque kisses (you may or may not have to shove him off of you to get him to let you eat). you might think that’s it until the birthday plans with your friends or family that he’s tagging along for that night, but no: there’s a gift waiting for you at work or school, and it’s something a little ridiculous like a teddy bear with a balloon tied to it, a bunch of flowers, or a cupcake with a candle in it that he asked your coworker or friend to light. the “real” present that he gives you later that night is probably clothing or jewelry, something that he can see you wear and enjoy for years to come.

❤ oikawa !!

when it comes to gift-giving, this man is the king of overkill. oh god, he goes all out and no one can stop him (“because it’s for my person!!”). you notice him looking at your neck, wrists, hands, and ears more often in the month leading up to your birthday, which is super weird until the day finally comes and he presents you with a gorgeous piece of jewelry that either matches the style of things you already wear or blends in with the clothes you enjoy most. he really, really wants you to wear it all the time, almost in a way that he’s sort of marking or claiming you, but it really comes from the best of intentions. (yes i was thinking about the “t for troy” necklace from high school musical, sue me.)

❤ bokuto !!

bokuto is one of those people who values experiences over things, and his love language is a mix of quality time + physical touch, so gifts just don’t cut it when it comes to expressing his love for you. of course, whether you’re a gift person or not, he picks you up for the “super secret” date that he plans with a little present of chocolate or flowers to tick the traditional “boyfriend present” box, but then he takes you out for dinner, then shopping, then dessert, then a walk along the river and a kiss under the stars to finish the perfect date. he might not look like he’s paying attention, but he really is a very observant person, so he knows all of your favorites and makes sure that everything you do on your birthday is something that makes you smile.

❤ kuroo !!

you know, kuroo is a guy who puts 200% effort into everything concerning you. he tries to shop, really, but he kind of goes into it already expecting to not find the one most perfect gift for you. so, when he doesn’t, he resolves to just make something (as if that’s easy, but let’s be real, it’s probably a no-brainer for this guy). he might make you a cake in your favorite flavor (from scratch! no box mix for kuroo tetsuro!), or honestly… build you something. if you like gardening, he’d build and paint a planter for you. if you’re into makeup, he’s building a vanity. i don’t know where he learned how to do this either. it comes from the philosophy that “nothing is good enough for my kitten” and also his extreme level or perfectionism, but you can see/feel/taste the love in anything he makes you, which makes it that much more special.

🏨: How well does your muse sleep?

Dusk: He sleeps okay, not great, some nights are Worse, but he doesn’t lose a lot of sleep on average, it’s just a lot of unfamiliar places and lack of decent comfort, on top of some other things that all add up.

Art: Better than their brother, at least, but that’s not a high bar to jump. They do have a more comfortable place to sleep than Dusk, but are riddled w/Anxiety and “remember that thing you did five years ago--” to a more harmful degree every few weeks, sometimes months if life’s been nice.

📐: Is your muse good at math? Do they like it, or do they hate it?

Dusk: Yes. though he doesn’t like it much. He Got Good out of spite, as he does many things, and hasn’t looked back.

Art: Yes, because they are a Big Nerd and they love math, use it A Lot depending on what they’re working on.

☕: Does your muse prefer coffee or tea?

Dusk: Coffee, for the Caffeine™. He also doesn’t mind bitter flavors tbh, so.

Art: Tea, for the fragrance and calm of most of the blends.

❤: What are your muse’s thoughts on love? If they are not in a relationship, do they believe that they will ever find a perfect someone for them?

Dusk: He is very quietly soft regarding love, though he’s barely tried finding it for himself. Fears it and/or what’ll become of him and his would-be love considering [REDACTED] so much prefers Not being that close to someone, but could and would play matchmaker if he must.

Art: Oh, they’re just the softest romantic you ever did see! Loves love, affection, caring and wants to care and be cared about. Cares quite deeply, sometimes to the great detriment of their heart.

Welcome to the excuse to talk about your scars. (As you wish ❤ although you don't really need one you could make text posts as you wish. It's your blog.) What's your favourite scar? Most interesting scar? Least interesting scar? I suppose that's 3 things but you can pick one or two if you want. Ily and I hope this question was adequate. c:

!!!! Hi!!! I didn’t notice this until now but I love talking about my scars so much, you know me so well I’m dying, love you boo!! Yes, these are wonderful! Thank you!

What’s Your Favourite Scar?: My favourite scar is probably my newest set, the one’s across my top knuckles! They look like neat bruises frankly, and they change colour based on temperature! I’m quite fond of them :) ***

Most Interesting Scar?: Ah, probably the one below my elbow on the side of my left arm, also looks a bit like a bruise, but looks kind of like a sideways rainstorm or blended Lizard skin!! I think that the extreme series of a mixture of scars and stretchmarks that cover my entire posterior are quite neat too tbh

Least Interesting Scar?: I’d have to say that the scar that comes and goes on my lower spine and the triset along my left foot by the ankle bone are the least interesting, though acne scars aren’t terribly interesting, but the amount and how they look like white freckles is quite neat so they don’t count

*** as a note, these scars are caused by self harm through the misuse of an exfoliator stone, and I wouldn’t recommend doing that, nor am I approving of my self harm, but the scars are pretty neat.

** as another note, I have many many more scars but these are just some of them, so if anyone has any questions about any of them, I am MORE than welcome to talk about them!!
