Oh and nipples, full nipple settings section. - Can skip the cutscenes. - The opening tutorial section will teach the basics of combat. - It runs at a fast pace. - Perform melee takedowns for health. - Pop up of kills and feats like headshots and double kills, drifting, driving in the wrong lane, and many more. - Shooting feels good with a powerful aim assist and button to auto-target explosive elements like barrels and fireworks. - Excellent voice work. - End of mission breakdown. - Full gun customisation from color to patterns, metallic effect sliders, gloss sliders, and surface options. - Unlock abilities/buffs on guns by doing set gun objectives. - Dumpsters act like loot chests giving rewards and loot when searched. - Enemies can drop cash. - A mobile phone is your gateway to skills, missions, camera mode, styling, and more. - Side hustles are optional side missions. - In vehicles, you can side swipe to knock cars or blow them up. - Over-the-top physics. - Michael Bay levels of over-the-top explosions. - Play how you want. - The map shows points of interest, side jobs, and everything in between. - Challenges through your phone can be done to open new opportunities and events. - The wanted app is a hitman-style set of missions where you have to take a target out. - The radio station wheel allows you to quickly change between the genres. - Weapon wheel. - Save and load when you want. - The garage is where you store your cars and set favorites. - Unlock new activities and services as you progress like picking up cargo in helicopters or leaning out car windows and shooting people. - Brilliant action movie-style set pieces. - A lot of Easter eggs and nods to other games and film franchises. - Jimrobs Garage is unlocked through the story and opens up chop shop (steal cars) activities and car customisation. - Every car type has a special upgrade to earn. - Such an awesome main character, sassy and channeling Ab Fab with attitude. - The whole lost your job skit was so relatable, funny, and well-paced. - The story is all about how you and your mates create a crew and take over the town from the rival gangs. - Friends can be called upon to help you and doing their unique missions can have them using different weapons and gear. - Buy new perk slots with in-game cash, you have minor, major, and elite level perks. - Unlock and use fast travel points. - Cool short intro animation when entering shops and activities. - Find and photograph Collectibles to decorate the home base. In the app, you get a clue on its location and a silhouette of the item. - The Empire table - this is where you build new criminal ventures within the town. - You generate money from your businesses. - When exiting a car you can opt to jump on the roof and shoot. - Threat activities are done to increase your venture/business earnings. Saints Row Review Cons: - For all the accessibility settings there is no way to turn off any of the swearings. - Few instances of robotic-looking animations especially in cutscenes. - The drifting model is insane. - Using the phone gets a bit fiddly with so many menus. - Not always clear where to go to do things. - It does feel like they chucked everything Saints Row related into it and saw what stuck especially with the side missions and collectibles. - The Ai can bug out and go crazy, running you over or somehow jumping into you. - Brutal takedowns have to be charged up which is quite annoying. - Physics goes absolutely mental at times especially when towing cargo. - Fast travel points are far and few between. - A lot of swearing. - Everything ends up in just a series of gunfights and maybe a bit of driving to the next gun fight. For your requests! I think a BnHA/HQ crossover would be really neat!
what if your favorite team of volleyboys got themselves some quirks and accidentally met up with the 1-A folks?
THANK YOU ANON!!! i had to cut it a bit short, since i probably could have continued to write this forever, but thank you so much for your patience and your wonderful idea, this was incredibly fun to think about and write!!
There was nopractice that early Saturday morning, but Aoba Johsai’s entire volleyball teamgathered near the front gates of the school anyways.
“You too?” theMatsukawas shouted, two voices merging into one as they surveyed Kyoutaniapproaching them. A sullen nod came as a reply.
“Okay, great, the gang’s all here,” Yahaba spat, folding his arms defiantly across his chest. He nudged the cat rubbing itself across his shins with his toes. “What now?”
“We need aplan,” Kunimi voiced, looking tired but amused at the same time. His backpackhovered near him, held up by his lazily pointed finger.
“As yourcaptain,” Oikawa pipes up, standing a little straighter, “I think we not onlyneed a plan, but need to know exactly what all of us are capable of.” There’s asmall pause before Oikawa takes in a little breath. “And, no, Mad Dog, it’s nota bad idea.” He looks knowingly at the wing spiker knowingly, and the otherlooks away, almost pouting.
“Of course youcan read minds,” Kyoutani spits, folding his arms stiffly across his chest.
“I can see thefuture too, I think,” Oikawa says, puffing out his chest. “We’ll be fine.” Hesays it definitively, and no one refutes him.
“I can makethings move,” Kunimi says, wiggling his finger and making his backpack jerk sporadicallyin the air.
“There’s two ofme,” the Matsukawas say, holding up their rights hands as if they wereanswering a question in class.
“I’m made oflava, apparently,” Iwaizumi says, moving to plant his hands on his hips andburning himself in the process. He moves his arms out to the side and, slowly, the molten fire around his arms cool and form patches of rock to double asskin.
“I can’t getthis cat to leave me alone,” Yahaba mutters, toeing the cat by his shins again, but it doesn’t move an inch, “but other animals seem to listen to me.”
“I think I canfreeze time?” Watari says, excitement and a bit of fear saturating his voice.
“Prove it,”Kyoutani insists, jerking his chin up as he glares at Watari. The other boymeets his gaze with a small grin. The next second finds Kyoutani with hisslightly damp finger stuck in his ear, Yahaba’s cat sitting on the setter’shead, and Oikawa and Iwaizumi’s hands on each other’s mouths. As they scrambleto right themselves, the rest of the team guffaws.
“It was hard tothink of what to do,” Watari says, rubbing the back of his head a bit.
“Next!” Oikawasings, holding a hand high, a finger pointing to the sky.
“I can fly,”Hanamaki announces. When everyone stares at him with baited breath, he sighs. He holds his hands loosely at his sides as he takes a deep breath, and almostimmediately delicate brown feathered wings spring from his back and stretchthemselves at his sides. They flapped powerfully once, twice, and the third hadHanamaki hovering several feet above them a little unsteadily. “The terriblepart is that I have to crash to get down,” Hanamaki says, laughing almosthumorlessly.
“That’s okay,”Kindaichi says shakily. “I can help.” He extends a hand in the generaldirection of Hanamaki and it extendsto reach the upperclassman. Kindaichi grabs his hand and tugs him down gentlyuntil his feet touch the floor once more.
“Thanks Turnip,”Hanamaki and the Matsukawas say, and Kindaichi wilts as his hand returns to itsnormal length.
“Please don’tcall me that,” he mutters, before lifting his head and looking meaningfully atKyoutani.
And theneveryone is staring at Kyoutani.
“Fuck,” hegrumbles, his face turning into a grimace before yanking up one of his sweatersleeves. “I can make things. With these.” What he means is not misunderstood, what with the tattoos swirling frenetically on his skin, changing color andshape within a blink.
“You can…make…” Kunimi processes, his voice breaking the silence that blanketed themall.
“Nothingliving,” Kyoutani amends, shoving his sleeves back down and stuffing his handsin his pockets. “What now, captain?”he asks scathingly. Oikawa picks up his jaw at being mentioned and stands a bitstraighter.
“Well, now wehead out,” Oikawa says, self-assured. “It’s a good thing I knew that my parentswould give us train fare if I asked.”
“All of us?”Kindaichi asks, looking awed. “But that’s… a lot of money.”
“Where are wegoing, anyways?” Iwaizumi presses. “Someof us look like freaks, if you didn’t figure that one out.” His hardened-overhands and arms sweep out in front of him, making an example of himself but alsogesturing to the Matsukawas, Hanamaki’s wings, Yahaba’s cat, and Kindaichi’slengthening-then-shortening limbs.
“I trustOikawa,” Kunimi pipes up, “even if he’s an idiot sometimes.”
“Thank yo- Hey!”
“And I can getus out of any trouble, no problem!” Watari proclaims, puffing out his chest abit as he points to himself.
“Your controlwavers and you know it,” Oikawa huffs, folding his arms across his chest. “And,so everyone knows, we’re going to a place where all of this is normal.” He pauses dramatically, layinghis heavy gaze on each and every one of them before taking a breath. “The QuirkPrefecture!”
The team findsan empty car when the train arrives, and they claim it before anyone else can.Thankfully, it stays empty despite the multitude of stops they take, butKyoutani thinks that might be because how… freakishthey look together.
“I’ve… heardabout the Quirk Prefecture,” Kindaichi says slowly, tapping his overlongfingers together at the tips. The quiet lull of wheels on tracks is broken bythe words, and its like a dam breaks.
“Oh right,” theMatsukawas chime, “the talk of the Quirked stopped before you guys could remember.”
“It’s taboo totalk about it, let alone go there,”Iwaizumi says, side-eyeing Oikawa fiercely.
“You’ll findour soon enough,” Kyoutani grumbles, earning an elbow from Watari.
“They’rebrainwashed!” Yahaba pipes up.
“Hey!” Oikawabarks and the voices cut out. “Everything we think we know about the QuirkPrefecture has been watered down by media, so don’t believe a thing.” The challenge is clear in hisvoice and the edge of his eyes and no one accepts. “The Quirk Prefecture isfilled with people just like us, of all different kinds of quirks. It’s rare for someone to be normal. Crime andheroism rose almost immediately in the prefecture when it first started, andour government somehow kept the Quirked in the prefecture to keep the rest ofus safe.”
“They are convinced that the whole world islike them,” Hanamaki says. “That’s why a lot of people think their brainwashed,”he gives a pointed look to Yahaba, “but I think that’s just because they don’tknow much else.”
“Crime andheroism?” Kunimi repeats slowly. “Sounds like a comic book.”
“It’s anythingbut comic,” Kyoutani grumbles, “but we just made the next issue.”
“You’respeaking in too many layers!” Yahaba says bitterly, pushing the cat that’sclimbing onto him off his lap.
“We’re not…gonna like, be shunned forever, are we?” Kindaichi ventures, almost warily.
The questionpulls everyone up short. A long moment stretches between them before anyonedoes anything, and when the stillness is broken, it’s only Yahaba’s cat hoppinggracefully from his side and ambling towards Kindaichi instead. The cat nestlesinto his lap without preamble and purrs loud enough to be heard above theconstant clack of the tracks.
“I can’t seethat far to know for sure,” Oikawa admits, voice saturated with sorrow.
Before they canprocess what that means, there’s a reverberating shudder that shakes their carand, somehow, they know it’s only theircar. There’s a tone, a single note from the train’s intercom that’sproclaiming that they would be nearing the next stop, but everything suddenlybecomes shiny, impermanent, like the car was plunged underwater and everythingwas fading away-
And just likethat, the train is far ahead of them, and Aoba Johsai’s volleyball team isdeposited harshly onto an empty train platform.
“What the fuck,” Kyoutani wheezes, rolling to hisknees as soon as it hits him that they’reno longer on the damned train. He’s the first on his feet, struggling to bringair back into his lungs, while the rest are still breathless.
The platform isnearly spotless, train schedule practically polished where its mounted above abench and a small candy wrapper lying on the brick-lined floor next to thetrash can. Next to the schedule, there’s a simple poster with a building on it,but bold letters spell out “U.A. HIGH SCHOOL” like an advertisement.
“U.A.?” Kyoutaniquestions, and his heart nearly skips a beat as he hears another voice joininghis. When he flicks his eyes away from the poster, he sees Yahaba staring at ittoo, the cat hugged securely in his arms.
“The hero highschool?” Matsukawa says, apparently startled enough by the transition that hisdouble disappeared. He rolls to his feet smoothly and holds his hands out toKindaichi and Kunimi to help them up as well.
“I guess wemade it,” Hanamaki says bluntly, looking at Oikawa pointedly. “Thanks, Captain.”
“Captain?” avoice asks, high with curiosity. Shock ripples through them all, theirheads whipping to the direction of the voice. A small boy peeks from theshadows, walking towards them while his green eyes flick from face to facehurriedly. “O-Oh… hi?” he says, voice trailing higher, and Kyoutani wonders whyhe’s so nervous.
“Hi!” Oikawasays cheerily, rolling to his feet in a fluid movement as a bright smile bloomsacross his face. “I’m Oikawa Tooru, and this is my volleyball team.” He sweepsa hand out grandly, gesturing to the rest of them. The boy glances at themagain, intrigued, before a hand is shoved towards him. “You are?” Oikawa asks, head tilting to the side.
“A-ah, MidoriyaIzuku,” the boy says, taking his hand and shaking it. “I didn’t know therestill were volleyball teams around. What school are you from?”
Kindaichi openshis mouth to answer, but Hanamaki unfurls his wings and the hollow bones andgentle feathers knock him in the face, stopping him.
“Oh!” Midoriyagasps, amazed. Kyoutani thinks there’s stars in his eyes as he rocks on theballs of his feet and stares. “Physicalflight Quirks are very rare, that’s incredible!” He shuffles a half-stepforward, hands held in tiny fists near his chest, as he rambles. “Usually flightQuirks manifest by somehow manipulating the air around the person’s body, makingit more solid so that it’s more like walking on thick air than anything. Unlessyou’re like Uraraka, who can manipulate the gravitational pull of any object nomatter the actual mass, but I guess that’s not really flight either, so thatdoesn’t really-”
“Ah,” Yahaba gasps as the cat leaps from his arms and lands gracefully onthe ground. The cat stalks over to the muttering boy and weaves itself aroundhis ankles, brushing his calves as he does so. Midoriya is shocked out of hisstupor enough to stop talking under his breath and look down. When the cat seesthat he’s back, in a sense, it meows once before ambling its way back toYahaba.
“You… told herto do that, didn’t you?” Midoriya asks, staring wide-eyed at Yahaba.
“Well, Ithought about calling you out about your mumbling,” Yahaba says truthfully. “Sorry.I don’t really know what she’ll do.” The cat meows, a low, almost whiningsound, that makes everyone chuckle a bit.
“Midoriya?”Iwaizumi says, hands stuffed deep in his pants’ pockets. The black-and-greenhaired boy looks at him, a bit intimidated, before the ace cracks a smile. “We’renew to this area. Could you show us around?”
“New?” Midoriyaquestions, blinking owlishly, before shaking his head. “Sure! I’m supposed to beheading back to my dorm for breakfast. I was only out for a run, but I guess I gota little carried away. I’m sure they won’t mind!” His smile, albeit a littlenervous, is a ray of sunshine that Kyoutani can’t even ignore. Honestly, it’s abit irritating.
“Please, leadthe way!” Watari pipes up, punching a fist into the air.
“Okay!”Midoriya responds, equally excited, and starts off.
Introductionswere in order, but how could they not be? There were too many people trying tofit in the small common room at the same time, trying to look at the newcomers likethey were some spectacle.
Though, Kyoutaniguesses, if random people were brought into hisliving room, he would want to know who those weirdoes were, too.
Midoriya showedthem off meekly as the rest of the people, his classmates, he said, hopped around. An alien-like girl almost made Kyoutani have a heart attack as she flitted around them, and another blonde-haired boy that reminded him of a Pikachu was a little tooexcited, but he guessed that was fine.
“What’s yourQuirk?” A long dark-haired girl asked, her look purely judgmental. He had tohold in a grunt as he yanked his sleeve up, thinking of the simplest thing hecould. A small pen painted itself across his forearm and he scratched at theskin a couple times before a pen came away in between his fingertips. The pen grew to a suitable size as he pulled on its ends.
Kyoutani wasunnerved at the pleased smile she gave him.
Everyone elsewas doing a bit of the same, not exactly being poked and prodded, but theymight as well have been. Kindaichi’s arms were stretched and coiled into piles athis sides, one hand reaching up to rub at the back of his neck.Kunimi was with a small, brown-haired girl as things floated unsteadily aroundthem. Yahaba’s cat was weaving between people, meowing loudly, before walking backto Yahaba to be cooed at all over again. Hanamaki was near the ceiling, yellingfor someone to help him down. Matsukawa looked like he was trying to peel offanother him.
It wasn’t longbefore Kyoutani felt eyes on him. When he whipped around, he saw a spiky-hairedboy staring at his harshly. He could feel his tattoos swirl on his skin inirritation.
“The fuck youstaring at?” Kyoutani grunts, eyes narrowing.
“Ha?” The othergrowls, shoving his hands in his pockets. “I’m not starin’, idiot.”
“Who’re youcallin’ an idiot, wannabe?”
“Kyoutani!”
“Kacchan!”
The names blurtogether when their called, and when Midoriya and Yahaba come rushing over, theysmile at each other, almost embarrassed.
“You’re damagecontrol, too, huh?” Yahaba chuckles, and Midoriya rubs the back of his neck.
“It’s normallynot too bad,” Midoriya admits, giving a side-long look to Kacchan.
A cat buttsagainst Kyoutani’s shins and he glances down at the cat. He expects it to meowand amble back to Yahaba, but it stands on its hind legs and leans on him, eyespleading. He picks up the thing, confused, and cradles it like he’s seen mothershold their babies. When he glances at Yahaba, the future-captain’s face isdusted red.
Kacchan, whoever the fuck he is, makes a disgusted noise, and Midoriya squeaks at him toshut up.
“I thought thatyou could make him some food, and now she thinks you’re the best thing ever,”Yahaba grumbles. The cat purrs.
“I could try,”Kyoutani admits, though he makes no move to put the cat down.
A tall,serious-looking guy peeks into the common room, then, the glasses perched onthe bridge of his noise picking up a dangerous glare.
“1-A!” hebellows, and the whole room goes silent. “Breakfast is finished. If you want toeat, act now or wait until lunch.” The others take off, leaving Aoba Johsai inthe common room. “You all are allowed as well, of course.” The boy bows deeply, before popping back up. “I’m Iida. Welcome to U.A.” And just like that, hedisappears.
“What’s theplan now, Oikawa?” Yahaba asks. The room feels strangely silent.
“We beg theadministration to let us stay in one of the dorms,” Oikawa says, almost matter-of-fact.
“You’re joking,”Iwaizumi retorts humorlessly.
“I’m not,”Oikawa argues, rounding on him. There was no aggression is his movements orwords, though, only a sort of resignation that’s paired with knowing what’s tocome. “What other choice do we have? We don’t know if we can go back, and thisplace feels safe. We can’t afford toleave, not now, not when we have none of this figured out.”
“It’s a goodthing cell service still works,” Watari notes, too cheery for his own good.
“Are they goingto let us stay?”
“What’ll happenif we do stay?”
The questionslinger, no one knowing how to answer.
“I think we’llbe okay,” Watari says confidently. “There’s no place better than U.A. I think. We’re safe, like Oikawa said, and this’ll give us time to figure out whathappened to us.” He looks at all of them significantly, a reassuring smile onhis face. “Plus, there’s waffles. We should hurry.”
After a morninglike theirs, waffles sounded foreign. They nodded resolutely, and trudged in thedirection the other’s disappeared in.
Food first, answers later. Everything was backwards now, but the waffles were warm, theU.A. kids were mostly friendly, and Oikawa was sure the administration would letthem stay. Things were backwards, but they were somehow working out, and thatseemed to be enough.
okay!!!! so i promise i will post this on AO3 soon, and add a link to this when I do, but its late and rn i cant think of what im going to tag this as haha
anyways, if you caught it, Kyoutani’s quirk pays homage to a fic i wrote a while back, and when i thought it up, i couldn’t quit it.
anyways, thank you so much anon, and i hope you liked it!!!

answer in the form of an answer, part 12.
Do you think it’s important to challenge typical gender roles in dating? Your answer: Yes Answers you’ll accept: Yes | No Importance: Somewhat Probably not just in dating, honestly. I've always had a notion of being a stay-at-home dad - and it's not like what I currently do for a living necessarily REQUIRES me to physically leave the home, given the correct infrastructure - and I'm already given to being a natural caretaker-type anyway. (For all its hooey, I really do embody most of the aspects of being an INFP.) Still, there are some things that I would probably do - like pay for dates and whatnot - because...I dunno. I tend to fall back on "I was raised like that", but as time goes on, that excuse really fails to hold water as well as it used to. (To wit: "I don't really have a high opinion of blacks, because I was RAISED like that.") So I guess it's because I try to hold onto SOME aspects of "traditional masculinity", and especially if I initiate, or am generally better able to shoulder the expenses, why not do so? (There is something I will insist on, and that's being the driver if/when we're in a car together. While I see a lot of couples together where she is driving - and it amuses me - my insistence on driving is not because I'm the man, you're the woman, men are better drivers, etcetera, etal, adinfinitum.) (No, it's because I am too much of a control freak behind the wheel, and I legitimately freak out being ferried about by others. It's an unsettling feeling to me.) 2020 has definitely confirmed that none of what i do for a living requires me to physically leave the house. shit - it doesn’t even require me to be in the same fucking STATE as my company’s HQ. (although i am coming back to nyc, by this may at the latest it looks like, because even if i don’t need to leave the house (and not like i have any general proclivities for doing so regardless), i still like being in new york. it’s a fun place to be, and i moved there for a reason.) (apparently that reason was to stay in the motherfucking house all the time, but yo - i wish motherfuckers had told me how fucking EXPENSIVE living in new york would be. i mean, i knew, but i didn’t KNOW, if you know what i mean. don’t necessarily know if that would’ve STOPPED me from moving there - i’ve wanted to move there ever since...2007ish, i think?, ever since my family and i took a trip up there as a college graduation present, and i fell in love with the place. but DAMN.) (in all honesty, not like i would’ve made any better financial decisions PRIOR to moving up there anyway. i still wasted a ton of money on magic: the gathering cards, and i blew half of a $20K loan that i took out WHILE UP THERE on total bullshit, when i should’ve used it to 1) pay off my car, and 2) pay down my credit card bill. (first purchase was actually this very laptop that i’m typing on, as we speak. a thinkpad carbon x1, 8th gen i7, and all the bells and whistles i could put onto it, totalling up to $1800, in the name of “future proofing”. which is both laudable and laughable, given that prior to resurrecting this tumblr, all i was using this fucking thing for was porn.) (the IPS screen is good for it, though.) in my defense: 1) i’m less than $2K from paying off my car, so it’s definitely getting done this year, even if i had to take the scenic route, and 2) i actually do think being irresponsible with money as a young person (...or a 35-year-old - same difference) (also, my two-year-loan anniversary was this month - i would say “mazel tov” here, but that seems racist, and i’m not about that life) (at least when it comes to non-samoans, i mean) i do think being irresponsible with money as a “young” person is kinda important and formative to being more responsible with it later on in life. obviously, that’s not a guaranteed transition, from being a total shithead with money to being responsible with it, but again - you gotta start SOMEWHERE, and my somewhere happened to be a ton of magic: the gathering cards off of ebay, despite the fact that 1) i don’t think i ever intended to actually PLAY with the cards, i just liked collecting them, and 2) i don’t actually like being around other people most of the time, so refer to point one. (m:tg and other traditionally-geeky pursuits, honestly. now, i kinda wish i had just bought more comic books, because after moving back in with my folks to rehab, i discovered my comic book collection that i had tucked away in my old room, and more boris karloff’s tales of mystery is never a bad thing, but i’m not all that broken up about the money spent on m:tg either - i recouped a decent amount of it all (enough to move to nyc one time, and enough to pay down a student loan another time), so the only thing i regret is HOW i went about it. should’ve bought more duals and other reserved list shit before they exploded in price (i had some, but not as much as i should’ve), and less birds of paradise and other random creatures for decks i’d never play, especially since i ended up being a burn player. more on this later.) (i don’t know why either, but i gotta.) (so sidebar about the samoan thing: that’s a running joke i have in my work: i’ve found the concept of hating someone on the basis of something so arbitrary as their skin color or culture to be so completely absurd, that i chose a random ethnicity to pretend like i was racist against, and “samoans” happened to pop into my head first, and i found the idea hilarious, and i’ve been using it ever since. OBVIOUSLY i have no animosity towards samoans - i’ve literally never met one, and they seem like a bunch of chill folks, and there’s LITERALLY no reason for me to hate them, so this is my equivocation for when white supremacists (to differentiate them from “regular” white people, because although they all toil under the same system of white supremacy, not all white people are racist) hate on black people for what’s effectively no good reason. (this went places.)

Which Shopify Theme Will Be Profitable For You?
Looks are not important, we are often told — but, in fact, looks are crucial when it comes to eCommerce websites. People tend not to trust websites that are poorly designed. So, you need to put time and effort into finding the best Shopify theme to suit your brand and turn visitors into loyal customers. But how can you find a store Shopify theme that perfectly fits your business? Let’s find out.
Why You Need To Start Looking For The Perfect Theme
First things first: you need to understand why it is so important to dedicate enough time and effort to choosing the right Shopify theme. There are three reasons:
The theme you choose represents your brand and evokes certain emotions that customers will associate with your brand in future;
As we have mentioned above, people tend to trust websites that they find aesthetically pleasing;
If visitors feel like they can trust your brand, they are more likely to make a purchase from your store, thus increasing your conversion rates and sales.
Before We Start
Before you open the Shopify theme store and start browsing one free Shopify theme after another, you need to focus on several things. Think about what your store should represent and the message you want your brand to communicate to the store’s visitors. Here are several questions you should ask yourself to sort things out in your mind:
What is the customer experience that you want your brand to represent?
Which features are a must for you? Which features would be a bonus, but are not necessary?
How many products will be in your store?
How do you want them to be displayed?
Are you prepared to pay for a theme or you would prefer a free one?
You should also take a look at your competitors’ online stores and analyze what works and doesn’t work for them. Firstly, you can learn from the mistakes others have made. Secondly, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel: use the design elements that are already working well for your competitors.
Where To Find Shopify Themes
On the official marketplace, you can use various filters to save time during your search. You can filter the themes by parameters such as the size of your inventory, your preferred layout style, the type of your product(s), the features you need to have on the home page, etc. For instance, you can search for a single product Shopify theme if you are only selling one product.
You can also find other marketplaces with Shopify themes on the web. For instance, WordPress offers Shopify themes. Other popular marketplaces include Theme Forest and Template Monster, who also offer a Shopify theme builder. Besides, you can buy ready-to-use themes directly from many independent Shopify developers or ask them to create a custom Shopify theme specially for your store.
Six Factors To Consider When Making The Decision1. Aesthetics
This factor is the most obvious one, but it is the most challenging one as well. How can you tell whether a theme is aesthetically pleasing to your potential customers? We suggest you rely not only on your own taste but also ask people that fit your target audience to take a look at various themes, click around, and tell you which one they prefer and why.
2. Support
Even though all the themes on the official marketplace are tested and evaluated, you can never be absolutely certain there will be no bugs or errors. So, the chances are you will have to turn to the support team of the theme at some point. Besides, you may have some questions regarding customizing the theme, and the support staff should be able to answer them.
3. Real-Life Use Examples
The best reviews you can find for a theme are the stores that are already using them. Demo pages are usually designed by professionals, whereas, by scrolling through real stores using the theme, you can get a better sense of how the theme can be customized and evaluate how pleasant your own user experience is.
4. Your Content & Products
You should take into account what content you already have for your store and what content you are ready to create to add to the new theme. For instance, if you don’t have high-quality pictures of your products that match the style of the theme, it is better to find a theme that doesn’t require HQ pictures. Besides, pay attention to the number of products you need to add to the store: themes for one or two products are completely different to those designed for hundreds of items.
5. Mobile Version
More and more people tend to shop online via their smartphones. It is quite obvious why: you can buy what you need during a commute or a walk, thus saving time. If your theme doesn’t have a good-looking mobile version, you risk losing all the potential customers that prefer the mobile-first approach. So, test the theme you like on various smartphones (preferably of different manufacturers and different screen sizes) before choosing it.
6. Performance
No one likes websites that are slow. If your pages take 7–8 seconds to download, you are guaranteed to irritate your visitors and lose potential customers as a result. The theme you choose shouldn’t contain any animations, or at least keep them to a minimum to be fast. Avoid themes with sophisticated scrollers or loaders. The page download speed should be no more than 2–3 seconds to be perfect for users.
How To Find Out What Shopify Theme A Website Is Using
Perhaps, when you see an outstanding Shopify store, you are so impressed that you wonder: “Which Shopify theme is that?” Actually, it is not difficult to find out what Shopify theme a website is using. All you need to do is install an extension for your browser (e.g. ShopifyInspector). Or, you can use the developer tools in Google Chrome: press F12 (PC) or cmd +opt + i (Mac), and then search for “theme” in the code.
How To Customize A Shopify Theme
After you have chosen the theme you find the most suitable for your brand, you may think that you can sit back and relax. This is far from true. Your next step is to turn this theme into a reflection of your brand. If you are a little uncertain as to how to customize a Shopify theme, there are ten changes you definitely need to make:
Add your logo;
Change the background color to the one you want your brand to be associated with;
Find the color(s) for the text, menus, boxes that will match the background color;
Use other fonts;
Change the amount of content displayed on the page if necessary;
Add categories and subcategories for your products;
Add links to your social media pages and other contact details;
Change the links in the header and footer;
Upload high-quality feature photos to the home page and the product page(s);
Add your own text to the home page, information page, product page(s) and blog.
You can do all of this Shopify theme customization by accessing the Shopify theme editor here: Online Store > Themes > Customize Theme. There, you will see a sidebar with various sections you can edit on the right. If you are not certain you know how to edit a Shopify theme without making the design worse, we advise you to turn to a professional for help. A developer can also help you customize the code that is behind the theme, if necessary.

We encourage you to experiment with various themes to see what works and doesn’t work for you. Don’t hesitate to change the theme if it doesn’t seem to be suitable for your brand.

Huge Moto x Zero: An electrifying new design language?
The One Moto Show is a cornucopia of analog delights, gleaming with metalflake and raw, hand-beaten bodywork. But there was an interloper lurking amongst the chrome and carburetors: this futuristic Zero from Huge Moto of San Francisco.
As soon as the Zero was revealed, it starting popping up everywhere on social media. So we dropped a line to Huge Moto’s boss, Bill Webb, to get the story on this surprise hit—and the very 21st century design process.
“Zero reached out to us a couple years ago, after you featured our ‘MONO RACR’ Honda CBR,” Bill told us. “We ended up working on some projects together, and hopefully some of our design influence will be seen on the next generation bikes.”
Then Bill asked Zero if Huge could build a custom bike as a side project. A 2018 FXS soon arrived, along with its CAD files.
The FXS is Zero’s entry-level model: a commuter bike with supermoto styling that costs just $10,495—a little less than a Sportster 1200 Custom. Range in the city is somewhere up to 100 miles (you can get models with a much larger range) and weight is a commendable 293 lb (133 kg).
Bill and his team slowly began to work on concepts for the custom. As the bike began to take shape in CAD, there was growing interest from Zero HQ in helping to finish the FXS and get a public reaction.
Brian Wiseman, Zero’s VP of product development, heard that the tire company Shinko was looking for a bike to display at The One Moto Show. So the famous Portland show became the target, and Huge fired up their computers.
“It’s far from the sexiness of welding and hammering away in a fabrication shop,” Bill says. “The Zero was mostly conceived sitting at a CAD workstation, after hours, and switching between hardcore 3D design and loose napkin-grade sketches.”
The design goal was to create a flow across the top of the bike, drawing eyes away from the electric components and frame, and focusing more attention and ‘visual weight’ on the front end.
“A design that feels futuristic, seamless and lightweight,” Bill adds. “Bruce Lee was our philosophical inspiration: Lean muscularity with agility and speed!”
The first basic design was fully detailed in CAD, machined out of ABS thermoplastic polymer, and then mocked up on the bike (above).
“Once we got the parts back, it was clear which aspects were working and which were not,” says Bill. The design was tweaked until every millimeter and every angle felt ‘right.’
It certainly looks good to us—and we see hints of the Husqvarna ‘Pilens around the ‘tank’ area too. (Maybe these ‘shoulders’ on tank covers will become the defining design aesthetic of the 2010s?)
Attention then switched to the lower frame section, below the bodywork. “The biggest challenge with electric drivetrains is the lack of visual interest,” says Bill.
“You’ve got big rectangular shapes and flat, unbroken surfaces don’t evoke the same feeling of an air-cooled cylinder head or clutch cover.”
New, dark-colored panels now flow with the upper body, and there’s a belly pan lower down—not only to protect the underside, but also to add more visual weight to the front of the bike.
The styling isn’t the only change to this FXS, though. You obviously can’t upgrade the carbs or fit a free-flowing exhaust system, and the brief forbade cutting into the frame.
So this FXS gets a fillip from a high-end Fox Racing shock, and new wheels all round: 17-inch Sun rims custom laced onto off-road hubs from the Zero FX. “I’d guess they are significantly lighter than standard,” says Bill. “They are made for racing, and the wheel builder specializes in supermoto bikes.”
According to reviewers, the Zero FXS is a blast to ride. And although the bike looks perfectly acceptable in stock form, the new design work has lifted it to a whole other level.
“It’s a design that takes some of the ‘raw’ influences from gas bikes and mixes them with the seamlessness, solidity and cleanliness of electric,” says Bill. And we’d agree 100%.
Any chance of releasing this as a kit, chaps?

UNDERCOVER BBQ
A WEEKLY COOKING CHALLENGE SHOW SET IN RAINY WEATHER WHERE THE CONTESTANTS, IN TEAMS OF TWO, MUST COOK THE BEST STEAKS THEY CAN. THEY GET TWO HOURS, A KITCHENS WORTH OF EQUIPMENT, AND AS MUCH MEAT AS THEY NEED...IF THEY CAN CLAIM IT FROM THE ANGRY WILD ANIMALS BOUGHT INTO THEIR TENT, THAT IS.
EXT LARGE FARMHOUSE. It's raining but there's a lot of huge tents and such all over. People are flocked together underneath them. Each tent is a different colour, and each has one BBQ set and a team of two chefs.
INT BBQ HQ A central, white tent. This is the BBQ HQ, where RAHIM and FRIDA are situated. There is a desk and a picture wall behind them with photos of previous BBQs.
RAHIM Hello Tennessee! It's another wet, miserable afternoon here at the Coat and Coal farmhouse, and we've got a treat for you all!
FRIDA That's right, today we've got two extra contestants, putting our total up to 6 teams today! Teams Red, Blue, Orange, Purple, Green and Yellow will be competing to earn their place in the Undercover BBQ semi final!
RAHIM But right now, everyone's damp, everyone's cold, everyone's miserable...let's light the fires!
EXT LARGE FARMHOUSE One by one, all the BBQ's ignite. As this happens multiple heaters and lights within each tent turn up. There are 2 people behind the grills in each tent, and a couple of groups of spectators ambling about between all of them.
INT BBQ HQ.
FRIDA Much better! Now it's time to meet our contestants today! None of them knew it was going to be a six-team-showdown so let's find out how they feel about that! Rahim, you take the red, blue and yellows, and I'll see to the rest!
RAHIM Right you are Frida! Catch you later!
INT ORANGE TENT TERRY and JANICE are standing behind their grill. TERRY looks a bit upset but JANICE is smiling.
FRIDA Hello team Orange! How are we both?!
JANICE We're fantastic Frida! And so happy to be here! We're really excited to get our grill on!
FRIDA Fantastic to hear! And how about yourself, Terry?
TERRY Yeah, like Janice said we are ready to win. We didn't realize there'd be two more contestants but I'm confident we'll be the winners today.
FRIDA Fighting talk, fantastic! Well, good luck to the two of you! We'll catch up with you shortly.
INT RED TENT
RAHIM approaches the grill where MAX and TOM are standing.
RAHIM Hello guys! How are we feeling today, confident I hope?
MAX
Hello Rahim, and yes indeed we are! Our grill is the talk of the town back home and we can't wait to show you guys what we can do.
RAHIM That's what I want to hear! Red is my favorite color so I'll be rooting for you guys, but don't tell the others!
The three of them share a laugh.
TOM Me too Rahim, we'll see you in the semi final!
The presenters travel between the other tents with much of the same rapport. They finally arrive back to BBQ HQ.
INT BBQ HQ.
FRIDA Wow, what a collection of contestants we've got today Rahim! Who do you think will win?
RAHIM Well you know me and the color red, I'm rooting for Max and Tom over there! But in Undercover BBQ, anything can happen! So without much further ado, let's get started!
EXT LARGE FARMHOUSE
Chimes play a little tune, and then fireworks go up signaling the contestants to get ready. The camera shows quick close ups of the tent interiors as the teams quickly check their BBQ equipment, and crew members wheel in big containers with padlocks on them. A countdown begins, and each contestant eyes the containers as the crew undo the locks and wish them luck. The countdown hits zero and a buzzer goes off as the containers spring open, revealing various wild animals.
INT RED TENT
TOM and MAX face off against a black bear. Both of them draw their cleavers and begin to circle it. The cameraman moves away as the bear glances at him and then away again.
INT ORANGE TENT
JANICE is about to be mauled by a mountain lion when TERRY leaps in the way, taking the blow. As he lays dying in her arms, JANICE grabs her meat tenderizer with a fiery look in her eyes and screams as she launches herself towards the beast.
INT BBQ HQ.
RAHIM and FRIDA both have automatic weapons at the ready and are now decked out in full body armor.
RAHIM Wow! Did you see what's just happened to the blue tent? I don't think they'll be recovering from that one, Frida.
FRIDA No, me neither. I hope our viewers at home aren't alarmed as the medical team is on it's way and well, let's face it, we've all seen worse than this on the show haven't we? Remember last February?
RAHIM laughs.
RAHIM I'm pretty sure we burnt that tent after all that nonsense. The stains just wouldn't come out. Anyway, join us after the break for more UNDERCOVER BBQ!
The presenters wave as the sounds of combat echo around the farm.

Cadillac Brings VR Showrooms Ever Closer to Reality
Imagine this: you walk into a car dealership knowing exactly which car model you want, but not exactly the package and options you’d like to add to your eventual purchase. It’s not an uncommon problem, knowing the general, but not the specifics. Currently potential customers have to settle for 2-dimensional online “build this car” previews, request a catalog to thumb through, or visit the dealership in hopes of matching dreams with in-stock reality. Cadillac is envisioning answering the question, “Can I get that option with this package?” not with vague and generalized descriptions available today, but with virtual showrooms of tomorrow presenting buyers the ability to build, customize, and view their car in detailed 3-dimensions.
vimeo
It was at the opening of the Letters To Andy Warhol exhibition at the Cadillac House Munich last month where a small group of guests – including Design Milk – were invited to preview the luxury American automaker’s vision of the auto purchasing experience: Cadillac VR.
Cadillac endeavors to usher in an entirely different experience that doesn’t rely upon vehicle stock on hand – or even dealership location, for that matter. Available models, finishes, and options are to be explored anywhere utilizing specially programmed HTC Vive virtual reality headsets in lieu (or at least in supplement) of physical location or inventory. With a headset on and controller in hand, customers will soon be invited to peruse and pick any vehicle from the Cadillac line up inside a virtual architectural showroom, then dive into the entire list of customization options to add and inspect instantly. Once completed, the VR technology permits a detailed walk/fly/zoom around the vehicle, inside and out (this even includes the ability to compare finishes and colors at different times of the day).
Cadillac reps made it clear that although the Cadillac VR system has progressed for demonstration purposes, there were still plenty of opportunities to fine tune the experience before customers (and equipped dealerships) are able to get their hands on the VR units. A “coming soon” beta.
We spoke with Lesley Ma, Cadillac Global CIO, to elaborate further on Cadillac’s plans to integrate the emerging technology of virtual reality into the car purchasing experience:
Design Milk: What exactly should someone walking through the doors of a Cadillac VR equipped dealership expect?
A customer will be greeted with the entire Cadillac 2017 vehicle line-up, including all models, trims, and options available in the US market. The Cadillac in Virtual Reality experience will continue to evolve, with new products being added to the visualizer as they are launched in the coming years.
DM: Beyond car building, will the Cadillac VR system offer any other unique experiences that a traditionally outfitted showroom cannot?
Cadillac builds exciting concept vehicles for our special motor shows and other events. Customers around the globe rarely have an opportunity to see one of these rare vehicles in person. This includes Cadillac racing vehicles. Leveraging the power of VR, we will bring that 3D visualization experience to those who visit our showrooms or events.
DM: Which VR hardware is being used in these virtual showrooms?
The “Visualizer” was built using the Unity development platform for HTC’s Vive headset. The Vive currently represents the highest fidelity image available. Our creative developer/production partner was a firm called ATM (All Things Media). In the future, a simplified version of the work will be available for other platforms, including mobile, tablets, etc.
DM: VR is still an emerging and quickly evolving technology…any concerns about obsolescence?
As technology innovations evolve with better head-mounted gear and user interfaces, we’ll upgrade accordingly, allowing customers  to interact and immerse themselves more effortlessly in the full range of our vehicles and be able to enjoy looking at the details of our precision craftsmanship and engineering.
DM: The average customer comes into a dealership to physically inspect before purchasing…literally and figuratively kicking the tires, so to speak. How immersive of an experience should customers expect using the VR headset? Is every compartment, door, and window accessible virtually as they are in real life?
Customers will be able to inspect all trims and options (including wheels, lights, interior colors and materials) available in the US market today. With each new release, we will build more animations and interactions to improve the full visualization experience.
The goal is to present the Cadillac vehicles in an elegant setting encapsulating the brand values. The sleek digital space was designed by the Architectural firm Gensler, who designed Cadillac HQ and Cadillac House. The view out the windows is NYC as seen from our Global headquarters.
DM: Virtual reality is currently still solely a visual experience, but a car is the sum of all our senses. Will Cadillac dealerships have a selection of support material option samples on hand for customers to supplement their VR experience?
Cadillac dealerships do, and will likely continue to have, material option samples on display in their showrooms.
This is in no way meant to replace a dealership or showroom experience, but rather it is a modern way to view, explore and engage with the vehicles, and the brand. All new build dealerships have a mandated footprint and planning to include VR.
Cadillac spearheads General Motors dive into VR-enhanced customer experience, but don’t be surprised to see it emerge in promotion of their other prestige vehicles such as the Corvette.
DM: What would you say was the biggest challenge for the VR development team while designing a newly imagined inspection process in relation and comparison to the traditional car purchasing experience?
The shopping journey of customers is changing rapidly across all industries. The automotive consumer is doing online research and very often making a purchase decision before even stepping into a physical showroom. At Cadillac, we are investing in our digital tools to help guide and inform consumers in a way that can immerse them in our products. We believe that whether the consumer is early or late in the shopping journey, we need to focus a positive digital experience coupled with a superior showroom experience.
Although VR is a technology known well in the gaming industry, applying it in other industries as a consumer tool is fairly new. Our biggest technical challenge was to achieve the level of image fidelity that would best showcase our product, and we continue to explore technical solutions that will evolve these efforts.
