He gently took your hand away from the book, sliding his fingers upon your palm before bending down once more and placing his lips against your skin.

As he walked back towards the door, you couldn't help but close eyes and smile. His fragrant, flowery smell filling your nose while the softness of the petals of the rose he had gifted you felt warm beneath your touch - you knew this came from his heart.

All the more reason to treasure his kindness and honour in every way you can - even if it means putting up your jealousy for an Aeon who may be dead.

A soft chuckle spilled from your lips at that thought.
