soobin as slow down
“you’re buried in the pillow, yeah, you're so loud”
you were soobin’s dirty little secret. he met you after a show and once he had you, he was hooked. he was laid on the bed and his eyes trailed your form. “come here babe.” he said his voice deep. you crawled up the bed and sat on his lap. his hands gripped your hips, giving them a squeeze. “gonna let me fuck you?” you nodded. “you gotta keep quiet baby.” he said before flipping you onto your stomach. soobin was quick to push your panties the side. using your wetness he coated his dick and slipped in. you moaned out at the feeling. soobin grunted and pushed your face down into the pillow. “be quiet or i’ll cum and send you home needy.”
yeonjun as right here
“i’m right here, here. oh, baby take a look around, i’m the only one that hasn't walked out.”
yeonjun hated your friends. he only ever wanted your attention on him. he slowly drove them out. one by one they fell off cutting contact with you. “i just don’t understand why they go out without me.” you ranted doing your skin care. “come to bed baby, forget them.” he said. you ignored his words continuing your rant. “baby.” yeonjun snapped his voice stern. “i do not care about your fucking friends. now come to bed.” you nodded and abandoned your skin care. yeonjun pulled you against his chest. “i’m the only one here for you, forget them.” he kissed your head.
beomgyu as you too
“if you love it, then you cut the thing loose.”
it was a repeating toxic cycle. fighting, breaking up, getting back together. fucking roughly to bury the reason you faught again. you were tired but you just loved him. you’d forgive anything he did. “y/n we need to talk.” beomgyu said. here we go. another fight. “what now beomgyu?” he leaned against the door frame and watched you change into sleep clothes. “i’m done, i have my bags packed. i can’t keep doing this. it’s exhausting.” you sighed and looked at him. “very funny beomgyu just come to bed.” he ignored your words and walked over kissing you deeply. “goodbye baby.” he turned to leave. “if you leave don’t fucking bother coming back.” he just sighed and walked out.
taehyun as the walls
“honestly she needs a little loving. fuck it, now i’m getting off the subject, yeah, yeah.”
you were lonely. always by yourself. against the wall at parties, in the back of the room. he always spotted you though. there was something about you taehyun couldn’t shake. you needed something or someone. that someone being him. it didn’t take long for you to fall into bed with him. taehyun filled that void and satisfied that need and want within you. he had his hand wrapped around your throat as he thrusted into you roughly. he stilled cumming in you. when he cleaned himself up he left and rejoined the party. you never felt so full yet so alone.
hueningkai as heaven and back
“all in one night. she just went to heaven and back.”
you always wanted him. he just wanted something quick. kai took you out that night. all over the town. different clubs, different parties. you felt so high. kai took you by the hand and lead you do a dingy bathroom. his hand slipped into your pants. your eyes rolled back. before you knew it kai was taking you against the bathroom stall. you felt like you were in heaven. you could feel your orgasm approaching but it was cut short when kai finished and pulled out. he tucked himself away and left the stall. your heart sunk to your feet. it all came crashing down watching him leave you.

Flowing smoothly across the beach on a cloudy summer morning, a light breeze lifts the shirts of three boys. They lie on sandy towels, talking amongst themselves. Reserved, their private seaside sat in front of their two-story, navy blue beach house. A long, white ramp followed the side of the small cliff in which the house sat on, it settling into the sand. The beach itself was around 30ft of land that lead into a vast, turquoise ocean. Without a care in the world, Soobin, Beomgyu, and Taehyun sat, awaiting their friends in the crisp beach air.
After a world tour for their most recent album, the group was given the opportunity to take a break- them desiring a change of scenery. Per their request, the group and their manager asked that ☁️ join them on their trip despite his busy schedule. Of course, ☁️ agreed. He loved the boys’ company, and the boys loved him. A few, quite literally- and a lot more than the others.
Kai and ☁️ were hunched over the kitchen island making sandwiches for everyone. Demanding that Kai wasn’t to touch anything sharp or dangerous, ☁️ did the slicing while Kai put all the ingredients into the sandwiches. The two were relatively quiet, but that was due to it being 9:30 in the morning. Kai was always taciturn and slow in the morning so ☁️ knew to leave him alone.
The small kitchen was filled with sounds of chopping until Kai decided that he wanted a break. He looked over to ☁️ and stared at him, the boy then rubbing his eyes and yawning.
“Hey ☁️, isn’t that Yeonjun’s shirt? Why are you wearing it?” Kai spoke in a sleepy tone, though upon turning to face the boy, ☁️ saw his eyes spark of exasperation.
“I found it in my room and wore it last night. I didn’t really think twice about it.” ☁️ stopped cutting slices of tomato to give Kai his attention. “Why? Does it bother you?”
“I guess not. I could’ve given you something to wear.” Kai said sluggishly, walking over to ☁️ and wrapping his arms around the boy’s body. He rested his chin on top of ☁️’s head as the boy began to start cutting the tomato again.
The beach house’s first floor has an open concept- the living room, dining room, and kitchen being one big room separated by archways. A guest room was also located on the first floor, though it had a door and its own bathroom. That was ☁️’s room, it in-between the kitchen and staircase.
☁️ watched out of the corner of his eye as Yeonjun walked out of his (☁️’s) room. Holding a few pieces of clothing, he strolled into the living room. Kai was completely oblivious, seeming to have fallen asleep holding ☁️.
After a few more minutes of cutting some fruits, ☁️ was done. He stood still as to not disturb Kai, ☁️ rubbing Kai’s hands as an indication that he needed to get going. Kai trudged over to the unfinished sandwiches as Yeonjun jauntily approached ☁️. Noticing a grin on his face, ☁️ sighed.
“Last night was fun.” Yeonjun teased as he laid a kiss on the boy’s neck. He walked over to the fridge still smirking, grabbing a container of orange juice.
Kai quickly turned his body toward ☁️, the spark in his eyes reigniting.
“What’d you do last night?” Kai asked innocently, though ☁️ could tell he was getting upset. ☁️ reached out to the boy, but he stormed past him and walked down the hall.
“Kai, wait.”
☁️ could feel Yeonjun’s grin behind him.
“Not sure what’s up with you two recently..”
☁️ spun around, his tone overflowing with irritation. “Why’d you say that? You know he’s sensitive.”
“Cause. It was fun.” Yeonjun said smiling.
“If you’re going to tell people what we do then.. we can’t do this anymore.” He stared at Yeonjun, who responded by scowling. ☁️ rolled his eyes and began to walk after Kai.
“It’s not my fault you keep leading him on.”
☁️ paused, turning to face the boy once again. “Who told you that? I like him, honestly. Things are just, really slow right now.”
Yeonjun shrugged, sipping his orange juice as if no harm had been done.
☁️ walked down the hallway and turned to the steps. After walking up, he reached the Kai’s room- the first door to the left. ☁️ knocked lightly. After not hearing a response, he opened the door. Kai laid on his plushie-filled bed, his hands behind his head as he stared at the ceiling.
“Kai..” ☁️ called out, tip-toeing into his room. Kai didn’t respond until ☁️ walked over to his bed, sitting on the edge beside him.
“I thought that I made it so obvious that I liked you.. Do you feel the same way?” Kai lifted his body up on his bed to sit, giving his attention to ☁️.
“Of course I do. Things are just really complicated with..”
“Yeonjun?”
“I was going to say work, but that too.”
“So do you like him more than me?”
“You’re much sweeter.”
☁️ climbed next to Kai, placing his head on the boy’s chest. Kai responded by wrapping an arm around the boy’s shoulder.
“So why do you still entertain him?” Kai asked, continuing to stare at the ceiling.
“I’m not sure.”
The two remained silent for a few seconds before Kai exhaled heavily.
“So you like me, but not enough to stop sleeping with Yeonjun?”
“Kai, I’m not-”
“Don’t tell me you aren’t. You’re wearing his clothes, letting him kiss your neck. He’s sleeping in your room, basically admitting to-”
“Kai.. I’m sorry. It’s complicated.”
“Then you two can be complicated together.” Kai said as he removed his arm from around ☁️’s shoulder, softly pushing him to the edge of the bed.
“I..”
The boy closed his eyes as he placed his hands under his head once again.
“I’ll be outside soon.”
☁️ sighed and slid off of the bed. He walked out of the room, down the stairs, and back to the kitchen, where Yeonjun had placed the sandwiches and sliced fruits in plastic bags.
“Guessing your talk didn’t go as you planned.” Yeonjun thought out loud, not taking his eyes off of the bags he was preparing.
“I was honest with him, for the most part.”
“What’d he say?” Yeonjun asked as he placed the bags into a dark blue cooler.
“He doesn’t want to be near me right now. I told him things are complicated and he asked if I liked him or you better.”
Yeonjun closed the lid and looked over at ☁️. “What’d you say?”
“I liked him more. I don’t think he believed me.”
“How could he when he knows you sit on me every night. Why lie to him?”
“Stop. I’m not lying, I think you’re an asshole compared to him.”
“You’re probably right, but you still like me.” Yeonjun grabbed the cooler’s handle and motioned for ☁️ to follow him. “They’ve waited long enough though.”
☁️ walked to the backdoor, opening it for Yeonjun as he dragged the cooler through. The two followed the ramp down to where the three boys sat. Taehyun turned around, acknowledging the two with a wave.
Tumblr media
☁️ watched as the four boys ran into the water despite the cloudy sky and light breeze. Picking at the fruits in his bag, he laid on his stomach. He felt sand land on his towel and feet only a few seconds after.
“Sorry.”
Kai laid his towel down next to ☁️’s, climbing on it immediately after. As Kai laid on his stomach as well, ☁️ noticed his white flannel with navy shorts.
“You’re okay.” ☁️ responded, looking over at him.
The two watched the others in silence until Kai turned his attention to ☁️.
“I’ve decided not to be mad about you and Yeonjun.”
☁️ was shocked by his statement, turning to look back at him.
“How come?”
“We’re not dating. We’re not doing anything. I shouldn’t be mad.” Kai remained expressionless, him turning his attention back to the boys in the water.
“Well, I’d like to do.. something.” ☁️ thought about it, quickly looking around. “We should go out and do something fun together.”
Kai hesitated to respond, though it wasn’t initially obvious. “Would you let me do what he does?”
“What do you mean?” ☁️ asked, continuing his gaze on the boy. He watched as Kai returned his gaze, looking out into the water where the boys were now splashing each other.
“Would you let me touch you like he does?”
☁️ raised an eyebrow at the question. “Is that the fun thing you wanted to do together?”
“You and Yeonjun do it. Why can’t we?” Kai locked eyes with ☁️, though his dull tone didn’t change.
“I thought you wanted to be.. more than that.” ☁️ stared into Kai’s eyes as he did the same.
“I do. But we aren’t anything, yet.”
“Exactly. Wouldn’t you want to wait?”
Kai shook his head, returning his gaze back to the boys.
“Oh… ok.” ☁️ responded, doing the same.
“So, yes?”
“Mm, I’ll think about it.”
☁️ rolled onto his back as the clouds parted ways with the sun, the beach becoming illuminated by its light. Closing his eyes, the boy heard two of the idols run back to their towels, one of them unintentionally dripping water onto ☁️ as they sat down. The other two seemed to slowly follow behind, talking as they did so.
“Are you going in?” Soobin sat on his towel beside ☁️, crossing his legs. ☁️ opened his eyes, turning to face the boy. Beomgyu eavesdropped behind the two.
“Maybe..”
“Hyuka is. Why don’t you go with him? The water’s nice.”
☁️ looked over his shoulder to see Kai’s towel vacant. The boy was standing up to his ankles in the water, seemingly admiring the view. ☁️ turned back toward Soobin and nodded, him then standing up.
“Hey Yeonjun, fight back.” Beomgyu looked over to Yeonjun, laughing obnoxiously. As Yeonjun lunged at him, he fell into Soobin, who pushed him into the sand. ☁️ laughed, mouthing a ‘thank you’ to Soobin, who smiled in response.
☁️ could hear Yeonjun yelling behind him as he turned around. The sand was soft under his feet as he walked, though it gradually became cooler and more compact. Eventually, ☁️ stepped into the fresh water as it receded back into the ocean, slightly suctioning his feet under the sand as he continued deeper. As he stood beside Kai, he wondered why the boy wasn’t acknowledging him.
“Kai,”
The boy turned his head, clearly surprised.
“Hi. Do you want to go deeper?”
☁️ looked at his toes under the clear blue water, the sun now illuminating the sea.
“Not really.. but if you want to I will.”
Kai grabbed ☁️’s wrist, pulling him farther into the water. The ocean rose higher up ☁️’s body as the two stepped further, waves crashing into the two as they proceeded. Now soaked, ☁️ stopped as the water level was equal to his collarbone.
“Why’d you stop?” Kai asked, tugging at the boy’s wrist.
“We’re too deep.”
“Come here.”
Kai grabbed ☁️’s waist from under the water, slowly moving the boy close to him.
“Wrap your legs around me.”
☁️ wrapped his arms and legs around Kai, getting nervous. The four boys on the beach were as small as ants at this point, and who knew what was lurking in the water.
“Kai, don’t go further. We’re too far.”
“I got you, though. I can swim.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about.”
☁️ turned around, watching as the water in the distance rose. Their bodies began moving farther out, the ocean sucking them under a large swell.**
** Swell: A traveling wave that hasn’t broken the ocean’s surface tension yet, thus making it a moving dome.
☁️ felt Kai kick his legs to keep them afloat, but the swell had engulfed over them. Kai pushed the boy upwards, ☁️’s head and shoulders back above the water. Kai followed directly after, gripping ☁️’s lower back and pushing them together. He coughed a bit, then shook his head to get the hair out of his face. The two stared at each other, Kai laughing out of embarrassment.
“Sorry..” Kai looked up at ☁️ with puppy eyes, water dripping down his face and neck.
“I thought you got me.”
“I did. You just distracted me.”
“How?” ☁️ furrowed his eyebrows at the comment, holding onto Kai as the two floated over another swell.
“‘Cause you’re pretty.” Kai held eye contact with ☁️, the boy melting under his touch despite the ocean water’s coolness.
“You’re pretty, too.” ☁️ whispered, tightening his arms around Kai’s neck. Kai leaned his head forward as ☁️ did the same, the two locking lips. ☁️ could taste the ocean’s salt on the boy’s lips as he brushed his fingers along the boy’s hair. Kai’s hands traveled down to ☁️’s waist then hips, ultimately settling on the boy’s ass. ☁️ stuck his tongue into Kai’s mouth as they made out, Kai reacting by gripping the boy’s cheeks and doing the same. ☁️’s legs tightened around Kai’s hips as his growing bulge brushed against the boy’s stomach. Another swell brushed over their shoulders, though Kai kept them afloat.
Kai pulled away from ☁️ as another swell approached the two, it much bigger than the last few. Grabbing ☁️’s hands from around his neck, Kai lifted them to float over the wave.
“I can’t keep kicking, let’s head back.”
☁️ looked around Kai’s head to see that they were farther from shore than they had originally been. He grabbed Kai’s arm, the two riding the waves back to where they could stand. As ☁️ felt sand under his feet, he exhaled, out of breath.
The two slowly trudged through the water as waves splashed against their backs. Side by side, they walked out of the water and into the sand’s warmth. Their steps stained the beige sand brown as ocean water dripped down their bodies. ☁️ looked over to Kai, who held his hands in front of his crotch.
“Does this mean you aren’t mad at me anymore?” ☁️ said teasingly, pointing down there.
Kai glanced over at ☁️, smiling at the comment as they arrived to their towels.
“Why’d you guys go so far out?” Beomgyu asked, him lying on his back. ☁️ sat down on his towel as Kai laid on his stomach.
“He wanted to.” ☁️ responded, looking up at the sun. The sun was now bright and sending extensive amounts of warmth to the Earth as the clouds disappeared.
“I’m glad we did.” Kai whispered, turning his head to look at ☁️.
☁️ smiled and rolled his eyes, whispering back. “I’m sure you are.”
Tumblr media
“Are you trying to make me look bad?”
Yeonjun stood in front of ☁️ after the others had walked inside.
“I’m not trying to do anything.” ☁️ attempted to walk around Yeonjun, but he stepped in front of him again.
“We all saw you and Kai in the water. The hell were you thinking?” Yeonjun took a step forward with vindictive, maniacal tone. His face displayed his rage- an eyebrow raised and nose scrunched.
“Why’re you mad? Nobody else seemed to care.” ☁️ asked innocently, placing a hand on Yeonjun’s arm and trying to move around him again. Yeonjun grabbed ☁️’s arm back in response, shoving the boy’s body against the beach house’s blue exterior. Yeonjun stood in front of ☁️, both hands on his sides as to not allow him to move.
“Everyone knows you’re mine. You can’t just-”
“I was never yours. You told me to stop leading him on, didn’t you?”
“Not at the expense of that ass.” Yeonjun mumbled, gazing at the boy he had pinned against the wall.
“All we ever did was f-”
“So?”
“So.. I guess it’s time we moved on. You should move on.”
“That’s all I wanted to hear.”
☁️ looked at Yeonjun in confusion as the boy removed his hands from the wall. Yeonjun stood expressionless, motioning his hands over to the door beside them.
“What?” ☁️ furrowed his eyebrows as he remained with his back against the wall. Yeonjun didn’t respond, choosing to stare at the boy instead. ☁️ nodded and mouthed an ‘okay..’ as he stepped aside and opened the door, Yeonjun following close behind.
☁️ glanced behind him as he walked across the living room and to his bedroom, again with Yeonjun close behind him. Beomgyu and Taehyun watched from the kitchen, ☁️ not acknowledging them. As he reached the door, ☁️ turned around.
“What’re you doing?” ☁️ questioned, though Yeonjun ignored him. As ☁️ was about to turn around, Yeonjun grabbed his arm and opened the room door, forcing him in. ☁️ stumbled in as Yeonjun closed and then locked the door behind them. ☁️ fell onto his knees right in front of his bed. Looking up, he was met by Kai’s angry expression. ☁️ quickly turned around, watching as Yeonjun turned to face him.
“What the hell? Why’re you in here?” Yeonjun jumped as he noticed Kai sitting on ☁️’s bed.
“Why are you in here?” Kai asked, looking down at ☁️. “Why’s he in here, ☁️?” He murmured, ☁️ shrugging in response.
“‘Cause we were gonna talk. Without you.”
“Did you have to push me?” ☁️ asked, standing up and sitting next to Kai.
“Kai, get out.” Yeonjun said, using his thumb to point behind him.
“☁️, do you want me to get out?” Kai bantered, turning his head from ☁️ back to Yeonjun.
“No, just say what you were gonna say.” ☁️ said, looking at Yeonjun.
“Fine, I’ll just go.” Yeonjun threw his hands up, turning around and grabbing the doorknob.
“Wait! Just tell me.” ☁️ pleaded.
“Okay, I’ll whisper it.” Yeonjun said, motioning the boy to come over to him. ☁️ walked over, standing in front of him with his head to the side. Yeonjun leaned down slightly, placing his head in the space between ☁️’s neck and shoulder. As ☁️ waited for Yeonjun to begin, he felt a pair of lips land on his skin and start sucking. ☁️ felt his bulge grow as he pushed Yeonjun away.
“You asshole.” ☁️ said discreetly covering his boner with his hand.
“When he doesn’t feel as good as I do, just call me.” Yeonjun whispered, him then grinning at a visibly angry Kai. He left the room, satisfied, as ☁️ turned to face the boy on the bed. Kai simply stared at ☁️, his expression monotone.
“Sorry, I didn’t think-”
“Do you think I’d make you feel good?”
☁️ was taken aback by his question, though Kai’s expression remained unfazed. The boy trudged over to the bed, sitting next to Kai while still covering his hard spot.
“You know, that’s not really something you ask someone.”
“You also aren’t supposed to sleep with your friends. But you do.”
“Why’re you being sassy?” ☁️ rolled his eyes and climbed onto his bed. Resting his head on the pillows, he pulled his phone from out of his pocket. ☁️ brought his knees up, placing his feet flat on the bed as he replied to messages. With his phone over his face, he watched Kai climb over to him from under the screen. Kai placed a hand on each of the boy’s ankle moving them to the side. He placed his head in between the boys legs, continuing up his body. ☁️ finally gave the boy his attention once Kai popped his head in between ☁️ and his phone, then resting his face on ☁️’s chest. Kai pushed his arms under ☁️’s back, hugging him. ☁️ smiled to himself, placing his phone down and playing with the boy’s hair.
“Answer my question..” Kai purred as he laid in between the boy’s legs.
☁️ huffed. “You already did. Remember?”
“You mean in the water?”
“Mhm.”
“That doesn’t count.”
“Why not?”
“Because, that was only for a second.”
☁️ didn’t respond, continuing to play with the boy’s hair. After impatiently waiting, Kai looked up expectantly.
“Why are you so caught up on it?” ☁️ asked, rolling his eyes. Kai removed an arm from under him, turning his body to place a finger on ☁️’s bulge- it still hard. He looked up and smiled.
“I just wanna take care of you.”
“Do you?” ☁️ asked sarcastically, pushing the boy’s finger off of his shorts.
“I do.” Kai stated, his cool tone sending a shiver down ☁️’s spine.
“Come here.” ☁️ instructed, softly grabbing Kai’s chin and leading it to his. Kai climbed over the boy’s body, their faces now inches apart. The window behind them displayed beams of orange sunlight, illuminating Kai’s features. ☁️ smiled at the boy in front of him, watching as his dark figure transformed into one of glowing orange.
☁️ pulled Kai’s chin once again, this time directing the boy’s lips to his own. Kai readjusted his form, forcing his hips in between ☁️’s legs and placing his hands on each side of the boy’s shoulders. ☁️ reacted by wrapping an arm around the boys neck, which resulted in their kiss becoming deeper. Kai’s bulge began growing in between ☁️’s legs, him thrusting harshly as the two continued to pull on each other’s tongues. ☁️ couldn’t help but moan between each thrust as his body began to warm up. Kai pulled away and tugged at ☁️’s shirt.
“Take it off.” Kai demanded, taking his own shirt off- it revealing his smooth pecs.
“Since when were you assertive?” ☁️ laughed slowly pulling his shirt off.
Kai smiled, diving into the boy’s neck. ☁️ moaned loudly as Kai began kissing and biting the boy’s skin. Rubbing his hands through Kai’s body and hair, ☁️ wrapped his legs around the boy’s waist.
After a few seconds, Kai placed both hands on ☁️’s waist, falling backward. ☁️ now sat on top of Kai’s boner, the boy under him grinning.
“Now the pants.” Kai cooed, helping the boy remove his pants and underwear. Kai then directed the boy’s head down to his torso, ☁️ placing kisses over his abdomen. “It’s all yours.”
☁️ smiled at the comment, climbing up to his pecs. He placed his tongue along them, Kai’s hand moving to the back of ☁️’s head. He slowly moved the boy’s head down to his hips, ☁️ slowly pulling his pants down and off of his body. Throwing them aside, he ran his hand along Kai’s long length. Kai pushed ☁️’s head down onto his underwear, the boy softly biting the boner through the material.
It didn’t take long for ☁️ to place his fingers on the waistband, pulling the underwear down to reveal Kai’s length. He didn’t expect to get smacked in the face by it, which caused Kai to laugh softly. He guided ☁️’s head to it, the boy opening his mouth and taking it in. ☁️ began bobbing his head slowly, using his tongue to add another sensation. Kai threw his head back, gradually pushing the boy’s head deeper and deeper onto his dick. After a few of his own thrusts, ☁️ began to gag.
“Sorry..” Kai whispered, quickly pulling the boy’s head off of his length. ☁️ wiped the saliva from his lips, watching as Kai repositioned himself to kneel in front of him.
“Get down.” Kai instructed again, shoving the boy down beside him. He moved behind ☁️, both of their backs against the window and facing the door. The sun’s orange light faded out of view as it succumbed to the earth below, leaving the two with the moon’s soft glow instead.
Kai slapped his length as few times against ☁️’s ass as he arched his back. Brushing against Kai’s pelvis area, ☁️ felt a liquid drip down his asshole, a pair of fingers then entering him. ☁️ gasped at the sudden sensation, Kai continuing to roughly move his fingers in and out. Whimpering from the pain, ☁️ placed his head into his crossed arms, muffling his cries. Kai slowed down eventually, pulling his fingers out and rubbing ☁️’s ass.
“Condom, right?” He asked, ☁️ turning around to watch him grab something from the nightstand behind them.
“Yeah. Did you bring one knowing I’d let you do this?” ☁️ muttered, embarrassed.
“No, this stuff is yours. From the nightstand’s drawer.”
“You went through my stuff?”
“Just your nightstand.” Kai said without much emotion, tugging on his dick. “Ready?”
☁️ sighed and whispered a ‘yeah,’ lowering his head back down on the bed. Kai placed his hand on the boy’s head once again, placing his hips a few inches away from ☁️’s ass. After stroking a few more times, Kai slowly put the tip in, making ☁️ yelp softly. After he continued inching his dick inside, he placed his other hand on ☁️’s waist. Kai groaned softly as ☁️ tightened around him.
He steadily moved his hips back and forth, letting ☁️ adjust to his length as the boy continued to whine. Kai’s hands were on each side of ☁️’s waist now, picking up his speed as he thrusted his entire length in. Kai kept a steady pace shoving his length in and out, ☁️’s head practically hanging off of the edge of the bed.
The creak of the turning doorknob caused Kai to stop, the two of them looking up in horror as the door swung open.
“You little slut..” Yeonjun’s eyes were wide open, obviously surprised to see ☁️ getting fucked from behind by Kai. The two were too shocked to speak or move, watching as Yeonjun closed the door behind him, then locking it. He wore a plain white tee with striped pajama pants, his hair wet and pushed out of his face.
“I can’t believe you’d let him of all people get it.” Yeonjun gritted his teeth, turning back around to the two.
“Fuck off, Yeonjun.” Kai spewed his words, them dripping with anger.
Yeonjun approached ☁️, who was still hot and softly whimpering. He moved his crotch inches away from ☁️’s head, him then placing a hand behind the boy’s neck. Yeonjun grinned at Kai as ☁️ reached over and tugged at the boy’s pants.
“I usually sneak down here around this time. Do you want me to go, ☁️?”
☁️ shook his head, him then turning to Kai. “You’re doing really good, do you mind if he joins?”
Kai looked over to Yeonjun, whose grin turned into a grimace.
“..No.” Kai said gripping ☁️’s ass as he slowly began moving his hips again.
Quick to help ☁️ pull his pants down, Yeonjun smacked his boner onto the boy’s face. Yeonjun often snuck down without underwear, making their nighttime routine more convenient. ☁️ grabbed ahold of Yeonjun’s long length, but struggled to put it in his mouth as Kai increased his thrust speed, rocking the boy’s body.
“This guy..” Yeonjun murmured, gripping ☁️’s face and shoving his dick into the boy’s mouth. Yeonjun and Kai both moved their hips back and forth with velocity. ☁️ began tearing up due to the excessive pain, though pleasure didn’t linger too far behind.
After a minute, Yeonjun yanked ☁️ forward, making Kai’s dick fall out of ☁️’s ass. ☁️ caught his breath, wiping the tears falling from his face.
“The hell?” Kai said, inching up to ☁️’s ass again.
“It’s my turn.” Yeonjun stated, pushing ☁️ onto his back. “Hand me a condom.”
“Get it yourself.”
“I’ll put my dick in your boyfriend raw.” Yeonjun smiled, watching as Kai rolled his eyes and grabbed him a condom and the bottle of lube. “Wouldn’t be the first time..” Yeonjun mumbled.
“Stop. We haven’t done that.” ☁️ huffed, still lying on his back. He looked at Yeonjun, and then to Kai, who practically sat over him. ☁️ began stroking Kai’s cock as it hung over his face, Kai smiling. After a few seconds, Yeonjun lifted the boy’s legs over his shoulders, him then aggressively tapping his cock on ☁️’s ass. He poured liquid onto his hands, spreading it over his dick and ☁️’s hole. It didn’t take long for him to shove it into ☁️, groaning loudly as he did so.
“You’re so tight even though Kai should’ve stretched you out.” Yeonjun said, grunting as he sent slow, yet powerful thrusts into ☁️’s hole. “Says a lot.”
“Shut up, Ye-” ☁️ was interrupted as Kai shoved his dick into the boy’s mouth. Kai turned his body to the side, lifting ☁️’s head so that he could fuck into it.
Yeonjun began picking up speed, claps filling the room alongside ☁️’s muffled moans. With a tight grip on the boy’s legs, he leaned forward, shoving his dick as deep as he could. ☁️ yelled out in response, practically choking on Kai’s dick. All he could do was stroke his own and grip the sheets around him.
As ☁️ felt his rush climaxing, Kai yanked his dick out of the boy’s mouth. He then pulled him further onto the bed, and on top of him. Kai laid on his back, quickly leading the boy onto his dick. ☁️’s back faced Kai as he thrusted sloppily into the boy. Yeonjun grunted, climbing onto the bed and standing in front of ☁️. He gripped the boy’s hair and smacked ☁️ with his dick, forcing him to open his mouth. Yeonjun thrusted steadily as ☁️ rolled his eyes back, his climax rushing back. Kai’s thrusts became more aggressive, causing ☁️ to bounce along with the rhythm Kai was providing him.
Whimpering loudly, Kai gripped ☁️’s waist, shoving the entirety of his length into ☁️ one last time. ☁️ could feel the boy’s length warm up inside of him, causing him to cum as well. The white liquid dripped on and down Yeonjun’s leg, making the boy curse out. Yeonjun grabbed ☁️’s head, thrusting harshly until he, too, came over the boy’s face.
☁️ slowly slid off of Kai’s dick, falling softly in front of Yeonjun. He felt Kai readjust himself as Yeonjun sat in front of ☁️. Kai scooped the boy up, walking over to the bathroom and setting him on the counter. ☁️ watched as Kai walked back into the bedroom, throwing on his underwear as Yeonjun pulled his pajama pants up. He grabbed ☁️’s shorts before turning to Yeonjun.
“I think it’s time you go.” Kai said, walking back over to the bathroom.
“Sharing is caring.” Yeonjun said, following Kai. ☁️ began brushing his teeth as the two walked in, Kai helping the boy put his shorts on. Kai was about to argue, but ☁️ tugged on his arm. He handed Kai a spare toothbrush from the cabinet, with Yeonjun’s already out.
Kai huffed, grabbing the toothpaste from beside ☁️. The three brushed their teeth before wiping their bodies with wet towels, ☁️ helping Yeonjun wipe down his leg. Throwing the towels in a basket, Kai once again scooped ☁️ up, bringing him over to the bed. Kai sat down next to him as Yeonjun walked to the opposite side, lying next to the boy.
“Just lay down.” ☁️ instructed softly, laughing at Kai’s possessive reaction. Kai did as told, throwing the covers over his body as he wrapped an arm around ☁️, who turned his body to face him. Kai brought the boy close, gripping his ass to Yeonjun’s dismay. Yeonjun reacted by placing his bulge in between ☁️’s asscheeks, and his head into the boy’s shoulder. Heat insulated from in-between both of the boys, causing ☁️ to quickly fall asleep.
Tumblr media
a/n: This is a very serious reminder that Yeonjun’s actions are okay in fanfic world, but not in real life!!! Do not let someone treat you like that- it is not fun nor is it okay. Please respect yourselves. Anyways, on a less serious note, i hope u enjoyed !! ♡

━☆゚。゚TXT WHEN THEY CALL YOU "CLINGY"
Tumblr media
includes : bf! ot5 x gn! reader.
warnings : a lot of tears, hurt / comfort , a tiny bit of swearing
Tumblr media
soobin only registered the words slipping from his lips after he'd said them, he immediately regretted it when he saw how your eyes glossed up as you shrunk into yourself.
"oh god, babe i didn't mean that i'm so sorry." he almost jumped up to engulf you into his arms. when he felt you sniffle in his embrace he felt his own tears prick in the corners of his eyes, he'd been so stressed lately with his tight schedule, he'd never meant to lash out on you.
that was the last thing he wanted to do.
he couldn't ask you to forgive him right away. he deserved your silence, " 'm so so sorry" he whispered into your hair. he hoped that if he would say it enough times you'd believe it
beomgyu spat the words out in such a flurry of emotions.
he was angry, not at you but himself. he'd let the deadlines get too close and he stressed himself out which amounted to him showing all of his pent up frustration on you.
"you're so clingy you don't know when to stop, do you?
he watched the way your expression turned sour as you scoffed, "oh fuck you beomgyu."
he felt the aftermath of his words like the silence of your usually happy and noisy shared apartment.
he knew you wouldn't talk to him, and he knew he deserved it though even you, deep down, knew that he didn't mean any of it at all.
beomgyu often spoke his mind, even if his heart said something entirely different.
"god you're so clingy, do you ever think about that??" hyuka mumbled quietly under his breath, the room was so quiet that it was loud enough for you to hear.
"do you want to say that louder kai?" you spat out with a scoff. though you regretted provoking him further, you felt your blood boil in your veins at his words, "i said, you're so clingy " he spoke louder this time.
his voice rang out slicing through the tension in the room like a knife. "i can't believe you" you mumbled before heading out the room.
he couldn't believe it either, he couldn't believe he'd just said that to you.
yeonjun groaned when you asked him to come and eat dinner, you felt your heart drop as he mumbled something incoherent under his breath, all you caught from his sentence was the word clingy.
you immediately backed away from the door closing it, though he tried to stop you through the door you refused to give in, you didn't want to get your feelings hurt more.
it was safe to say that yeonjun regretted it, he often found himself in situations where he realised how much you meant to him after he'd lost you for a while.
he wouldn't ask for your forgiveness straight away, you wouldn't accept it but even he knew that he deserved what was coming.
taehyun would've crumbled when he saw the tears in your eyes, somehow the anger that had bubbled up and overflowed earlier disappeared when he saw you.
he's messed up big time.
"god, i'm so sorry-" there was almost a sense of desperation in his voice. he pulled you close , kissing your forehead through his own tears. though you knew he didn't mean it, he couldn't forgive himself for lahsing out on you like that.

“what’s on your mind, love?” kai asks as you two walk hand in hand near the calm, glistening pond.
you hum in slight exhaustion. still, a small smile forms on your face hearing your boyfriend’s voice after the comfortable silence between you two.
“nothing, i promise!” you do your best to reassure. you bring your intertwined hands in the air and move them back and forth as you continue to stride along the path.
“tsk, didn’t know we were lying to each other now,” kai shakes his head in a teasing manner. despite his actions, his words were serious enough. “c’mon, y/nnie. you were quiet throughout the entire dinner.”
ah, yes. kai and his members were back in town after the first half of their tour. tonight was kai’s birthday and you all decided to eat out in celebration of his special day. you were ecstatic seeing your boyfriend after all these months. seeing his pretty face in person after those daily facetime calls was much more than you could ask for. catching up with his friends was also a neat bonus, you missed them too.
it was too bad you weren’t exactly in your best mood. lately you haven’t been feeling like yourself. getting up in the morning has taken you longer, your sleep schedule has become inconsistent, you overthink everything you do now. not to mention, you haven’t felt great about your appearance recently. you’ve thought of confiding to kai about this, but he’s been so excited about his performances that you didn’t want to bring him down.
still, you can only handle so much burden.
you sigh in defeat and warn him in advance. “i don’t want to ruin your birthday with my stuff, bub.”
kai stops you both in your place which forces you to bring your gaze from the ground onto him, slightly off guard.
“we’re not going home until you do,” kai’s eyes glimmer in the moonlight, ensuring this safe space. “i mean- talk to me, not ruin my birthday.”
“i’ve just been in a funk, kai,” you eventually give in, staring at the water ahead. “i haven’t been feeling great mentally and physically and it’s taking a toll on me. even tonight, i was staring at myself in the mirror longer than usual! it’s like anything i do, wear, or say isn’t right and i don’t know what to do at this point.”
kai remains silent and thoroughly listens to your rant. with each word he traces small shapes on your hand, a habit of his you loved. he hasn’t done anything and he’s already soothing you.
“why didn’t you tell me sooner?” he asks in a whisper.
“i- you have a lot going for you, i didn’t think you’d understand,” now that you say it out loud, it’s a little unfair for you to assume something like that. your boyfriend was a star, not avoidant of feelings like this.
“and i…didn’t want to be a buzzkill,” you mumble under your breath while kicking a nearby pebble to the pond.
you both watch the stone trickle along the water creating the path it does. you glance up at kai, who sucks his right cheek in as he bites the inside in thought. he was too naturally cute to you, which has your eyes smile.
“baby, i was feeling the exact same way not too long ago,” kai mentions the truth that shocks you momentarily. you felt a sense of remorse, were you too focused on yourself to realize?
“you were?” you nearly gasp, upset with yourself.
“why do you think i barely showed my face while we talked on the phone?” kai reminds in a lighthearted manner. “at this point you’ve memorized my forehead.”
your lips form an o shape as you take in his confession, unsure of what to say next. kai fills in the empty void and continues to add on.
“i’ve had plenty of days like that,” kai reminisces as he longingly stares ahead before looking back at you in an admiring gaze.
“how do you make them go away?” your voice nearly cracks, almost like you’ve given up.
kai tilts his head as he thinks up to the stars before staring at the one standing right next to him.
“i’ve found that keeping yourself busy distracts you from those thoughts,” he responds. “or treating and enjoying yourself with the little things.”
“it’s hard to do that when you’re away,” you admit in a mutter, a pout following your words. the action brings you and kai to a smile.
“i know my love, but tour is almost over,” kai reassures while kissing your hands. a giggle escapes from you and kai excitedly reacts, pointing his free hand at you in a gotcha moment. “see, you can enjoy yourself!”
you try to hide your smile after he says that to mess with him and kai facepalms in a frown. he glances at the trail ahead and heads over there, letting go of your hand in the process. you follow behind him, confusion taking over you as there’s nothing special about this area.
kai kneels down on the ground and starts collecting stemless flowers. his palm eventually becomes busy with several colors and he stands up, not quite satisfied yet. your mouth opens in attempt to speak, but it’s interrupted with pondering sounds coming from kai as he walks over to the other side, seemingly in search of something else.
you stay in your spot as all you can see is his back, but it appears like he’s crafting something. it’s not until he turns around and walks over to you with a completed twine and those flowers all around it. he made you a flower crown on the spot.
“maybe this can bring you happiness these upcoming days,” kai says as he places the crown on your head with light hands. his touch was always so delicate. “you’re already feeling better, aren’t you?”
“i guess,” you tease with your eyes rolled, that smile coming right back. kai returns the favor as he admires you in awe seeing his creation compliment you so well.
“here, back up a little,” he instructs all of a sudden, but you do as you’re told.
kai reaches in his pocket for his cell phone and whips out his camera app. you catch along and start protesting with your hands covering your face, but he urges you with pleads and cute clap backs. you can’t resist, and eventually bring yourself to showcase your biggest grin in your beautiful flower crown that your boyfriend made.
“now this is the best gift i could ask for,” he nearly says to himself as the camera shutters. this would become his new lockscreen.
you return back to kai and he welcomes you in his arms. you fit right in his embrace and you two begin to head off back home where cuddling, more talks, and movie binges await you before he leaves the next day.

౨ৎ lights out !
pairing: highschool!hueningkai x fem!reader summary: life changes people. it certainly changed kai. but it would never change your view on him. word count: 0.7k extra: just a short lil fic before posting tooth rotting fluff for valentine’s day :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
huening kai was always a bright light when you were young - so energetic, always so happy, laughing and smiling at every little thing.
then you grew up. junior high hit, and you weren't the same little kids anymore.
and somehow, he wasn't the same. he was still kai, but his laugh and smile were no longer genuine, and it was so hard to see that bright light anymore. watching him change, become someone so unrecognisable yet still so much like home felt like a stab to the heart.
the old kai was dead, and you weren't sure how to bring him back to life - even though all you wanted was him. back. in your arms like your sweet childhood best friend always was.
laughing, kai fell into your arms, his long legs hanging off your bed as you tried to shove him off.
"kai!" you whined, body wriggling as you tried to get out from under him, to no avail. "kai you’re squishing me!"
he simply continued laughing, shaking his head. "you're fine!" he teased, growing comfortable sprawled across you. "you're a nice pillow too!"
you laughed, looking back at the memory.
kai looked up from his desk, noticing the smile on your face.
inconvenient timing caused you - lost in a memory - to laugh at the same time beomgyu told a joke.
ever the over thinker, kai took it the wrong way.
what was so funny about beomgyu? what trait did he possess that kai didn't? were you more into humorous guys? where did that leave kai?
nowhere.
it left him completely locked out. if his assumptions were right, you would never pay actual mind to kai in a romantic way. in the way he wanted you to.
beomgyu was nice. nicer than kai had been in recent months. beomgyu wasn't battling with anything. beomgyu's parents weren't divorced. beomgyu didn't have a sister who was never home because she was famous. beomgyu had it all.
those feelings disgusted kai. was he really that jealous over his friend? his friend who had shown know interest in your outside of wanting a platonic relationship. it was petty, pathetic even. but then again, seemingly everyone wanted beomgyu.
who would want kai?
surely not you.
not when you had options. boys weren't exactly throwing themselves at you, but that didn't mean that people weren't interested in you.
and all while this raced through kai's mind, you took notice.
of course you did.
kai was your best friend, even if you wanted him to be more. but you would never tell him that, because he wasn't really kai. in your mind, he needed to work on himself before getting into a relationship.
and that fact sucked.
you had to pull away from kai so he could focus on himself, because you weren't stupid. you were so far from it. you noticed kai's stares, his lingering touches, how he never truly seemed to say what he wanted to.
if kai knew of your feelings, he would drop everything just to be with you. he was that kind of person. and putting you first would mean putting himself second, and he would truly be lost to you then.
but, he was still kai.
not long after he snapped out of his daze, he decided it was time to go. he was no use in an environment where all he would do was overthink. and so, like every good friend in love with their childhood best friend, you followed him to the door.
"don't be a stranger, kai." you reminded, pulling him into your arms before he exited.
he couldn't say anything. there wasn't even anything to say. he just stood, rigid as ever.
the storm outside caused the wind to howl, and he felt the rain lash against his back. he'd catch a cold if he stood there much longer, but he couldn't find it in himself to move away.
at that very moment, everything was like how it should be. like how it was, back before junior high. before the petty fighting, fighting that blossomed out of arguments that should have never happened.
before it all happened.
before his lights went out.

𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 ✦ 𝗛𝗨𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗜 💫
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : huening kai x reader
genre : fluff (?), angst, unrequited love, one side pining on your best friend
word count : 517
synopsis : again at 2am you find yourself lying on the vast green field, staring at the starry night sky. with your enchanter lying beside, a sense of longing and delusion fills you inside.
warning : angst, tissues maybe, reader is delusional (we all are), sad sad sad
a/n : my first fic! idk why this song reminds me of your name. it reminds me of hyuka as well, cuz he's so mystical and moon night sky water painting coded as you see in the pics up there (if that makes any sense). i cried while writing this, i hope you enjoy! m.list
Tumblr media
Under the numerous stars, you are both lying on the soft field of grass, the leaves tickling your skin as a breeze blows by. The two pairs of gleaming eyes are mesmerised, absorbed with counting the endless glitter granules sprayed across the prussian blue sky. At times you break contact to look at the boy beside you, who represents a star himself. You can call him the sun. Though hidden in the depths of the night sky, the sun has it's presence through it's glowing moon. You can call yourself the moon, basked in his bright light that makes you shine in the darkness.
He stops his random rambles, which have been deflected from his counting, to look back at you. The sound of the breeze fills the silence between you two, while you have your eyes locked with each other. After a minute of silence, a gentle smile graces his lips that your lips reciprocate. A warm nostalgic feeling fills your heart, which reminds you of all those coffee hangouts you had with him in the winter mornings.
The last 2am you are spending with him before who knows when you will see him again, or will you ever. Shifting to a far away place to pursue your dream has its prices. If that includes losing another dream of yours, another star that you want to keep close to you forever, you nod. As if a needle has pricked your heart, the bittersweet nostalgia has morphed into the sourness of despair and hopelessness. Anyways it's too late, the words you wanted to say all along would be meaningless if you aren't going to stay for another tomorrow with him.
Your eyes well up with tears and he reaches out his hand to wipe them off. The smiles are now laces to keep the emotions within yourselves intact. You feel it is far fetched but you can't help yourself but hope that he has just you as someone who will wait for him and that he would do the same for you for years. It feels foolish and selfish to want to keep him all to yourself as you will never be ready to let him go. Those buried feelings made you hope that there isn't someone else he will fall for in that undefined timeline. You hope it isn't someone else that may cross his mind every time he looks at a star. And you feel guilty. Because you know, you don't deserve him. And you know deep down, that the stars will not fall for your wish.
That's when his phone rang. He takes out his phone, his smile spreads a little wider as he reads the name on the phone screen. He does have someone who has been waiting for him already, the same who he has fallen in love with. And it isn't you. Will never be.

killshot @/wave2tyun
your life seemed to have taken a turn for the worse the minute kang taehyun stepped foot into the spy agency you worked at. wanting to take on a challenge to prove yourself worthy of the top position, your plans were turned upside down with his addition to the mission. you didn’t think things could get any worse, until they stated one clear, mandatory condition: the two of you had to pretend you were a couple.
THE ENDING IS SO CUTE OMG AND THE PLOT AND THE sSTORY OVERALL IS JUST 😭😭😭🥹🥹

notes: omg this story is so cute and even the parts of angsts are just *chefs kiss* istg all these taehyun writers are messing up my already taehyun messed up heart!!!

SHOULD’VE COULD’VE WOULDN’T- HUENING KAI - SFW - PG-13
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kai x fem!reader
Genre: Angst…
Warning list: college au! Best friend Kai! Love interest Kai!, Brother Yeonjun!, toxic relationships, themes of depression, suicidal attempt, mention of drugs, partying addiction, alcohol addiction, alcohol withdrawal, definitely over drinking, breaking poor Kai’s heart!!
Word count: 14,890
Summary: Kai has had a crush on Yeonjun’s sister for the longest time, it’s a shame she takes after her brother and parties all the time. The only time Kai can get as close as he wants to her is when she’s sober, and that rarely happens nowadays. He’ll quickly learn he should’ve given up on her sooner, because all of her decisions affect him.
Tumblr media
The blue sky was dotted with fluffy white clouds that drifted lazily in the gentle breeze. Specks of pollen seemed to dance in the afternoon light that shone through the glowing green leaves of the tree that sheltered Kai, casting abstract lines onto his figure.
Eagerly, Kai opened the crisp, white pages of his new romance novel, feeling the spine creak for the first time. He had been waiting weeks to start reading it after a book club recommendation promised a great plot twist. As he read the first few words, a sense of relaxation washed over him.
However, peace was never so easily found when he was out with his friends. They all agreed to hang out at the field near Yeonjun's house. Kai originally wasn't going to join them, he wanted to read his book, but the moment Yeonjun mentioned his sister was going to be there, Kai couldn't resist joining them.
Any other time he'd be annoyed that some demon had interrupted his reading, but it was (Y/N), and she was the angel that could do no wrong. "Kai, quick. Yeonjun has his camera out. Come take a picture with me!" (Y/N) cheers to him, wanting to capture the moment with her best friend. When Kai didn't respond, she knew he was trying to tease her by ignoring her request, but she wasn't letting that happen. She gently closed Kai's book and placed it on the blanket she had given him to sit on, before grabbing his hand and pulling him towards her brother. Kai chuckled at her impatience and followed her lead.
As they held hands, Kai's heart fluttered. (Y/N) had always been affectionate with him, but he still felt giddy every time. Her tenderness towards him made him fall for her even harder."Do you think it's okay if we take a picture together?" Kai asks, struggling to keep pace with (Y/N). Unlike (Y/N), Kai is aware that Yeonjun wouldn't approve of them being so close. Yeonjun has made it clear that he doesn't want Kai getting up to any 'funny business' with his sister, and even innocent hand-holding falls into that category. Kai is already anticipating trouble when Yeonjun sees them together.
A sweet, innocent laugh slipped out of her mouth, ignoring Kai's question and shouting for her brother, "Yeonjun, can you take a picture of me and Kai please?". Her request reached Yeonjun's ears, causing him to turn in their direction and away from the other three boys, who were currently posing for their photo. Eyes scanned over the two, wondering why they are so close to each other or why they even want a picture together. But, with a flick of his head, he ushered the two over to have their photo taken. Secretly he knew the reason for their closeness, he was certain they were the only ones unaware of it.
As he held up his camera, he told them to hurry up and pose. Watching them pose awkwardly made him recoil and cringe inwardly. Although (Y/N) hugged him, Kai was uncertain whether he wanted to escape or join the embrace. He didn't know where to place his hands or gaze, particularly since his best friend and her brother was not only watching but the one taking the photo.
Unbeknownst to Kai, Yeonjun was laughing under the camera's cover. He found Kai's treatment of (Y/N) endearing. Knowing Kai was too frightened of Yeonjun to act naturally, Yeonjun guided them in the right direction. "Guys, smile... you're both so awkward!" he shouted at them. She giggled and exclaimed, "Do you prefer this?" before turning and kissing Kai's cheek as the photo was snapped.
Without hesitation, she abruptly left Kai's company and sprinted towards Yeonjun to retrieve the Polaroid. Kai was left standing there, feeling a warm blush rising up his neck and onto his face. Fortunately, the siblings were too engrossed in the photo to notice Kai's embarrassment, but the other three boys couldn't help but laugh and tease him. It was clear that this moment would be a source of amusement for them for a long time.
As she hurried towards him, the situation worsened when she suggested getting another picture so that both Kai and her could have one. This time, she planned to kiss his cheek once more, but he was ready for it. Perhaps he could even wink adorably? She had previously mentioned how much she liked it when he winked, saying things like "you're so cute I could pinch your cheeks" – and trust me, the statement was often followed by that.
In the end, Kai made the winky face, hoping that the girl would like it. He waited anxiously for her to turn around and tell him how adorable he looked. He even braced himself for the inevitable cheek pinches. As she examined the photo with twinkling eyes, she exclaimed, "This one is perfect! Can I please have it, Kai?" She waved the picture around like a prized possession, and Kai would have said yes even if she hadn't begged. He wanted to keep the image of the moment she first kissed him on the cheek, a memory he would never forget. She felt overjoyed at her new lucky charm, and she would always remember how he made her feel.

Glancing at the picture now, (Y/N) couldn't fight the upwards tilt of her mouth as memories flooded her mind. Although two years had passed since the picture was taken, she had never lost it and always knew where it was. Not even once, she always knew where it was. Every time she looked at it, the curiosity of whether Kai still had his picture crossed her mind. However, she hesitated to ask him as he was notorious for misplacing things, both important and trivial. But to her, if Kai were to even utter the words 'I don't know where it is' or worse 'what picture?' She'd cry. She couldn't bear the possibility of him not cherishing the photo as much as she did. Nothing could be worse than that, nothing. She just simply wouldn't be able to bare it.
(Y/N) cherished that picture with her whole soul because it was her and Kai. As if it was a precious gem, she kept it safe. It served as her bookmark every time she read, which was now more frequent since Kai started sharing his books with her. She found herself reading twice as much as before.
Currently, she was attending her lecture, trying to read the latest recommendation Kai gave her. They both shared a love for reading, and Kai always lent her books because he wanted nothing more than to share his joy with her. The day she asked him if she could annotate the books, Kai happily agreed. To his delight, her annotations were filled with creative thoughts and questions. Aware of how intelligent (Y/N) was, it didn't surprise him, but the cute doodles she added did. He fell in love with her all over again the second he glanced at them in HIS books. It was so personal and adorable, and he savoured every word she wrote on the pages. He adored it more than just a little.
That's how he found himself lending every book he owned to (Y/N), who would then doodle and write all over them cutely. Kai cherished these books and placed them on his bookshelf as if they were his sacred treasure. Away from the bookcase, a pile of books remained on the floor, which consisted of all the books she was yet to borrow, but he eagerly wanted her to. He felt like a genius, as he could now get annotations in every book he desired, and unless they'd been blessed by her words, they didn't belong on his shelf.
It was evident that someone had noticed her reading as her phone began to vibrate on the desk, displaying a notification on the lit screen. Carefully, she saved her page and shut her book before picking up the phone. The message was from the boy in the picture she had been glancing at, reprimanding her for not paying attention in class. "Focus on the lecture, Dummy! I can see you reading from up here!" read the message on the screen. The realization that he had been secretly observing her making a warm flush spread across her cheeks.
Turning in her seat to get a better view of him, their gazes met, and a soft smile glazed across her face at the way he leaned on his hand, eyes locked with hers. Kai wasn't even trying to hide the fact he was staring at her, and it was crystal clear he had only noticed her reading because he wouldn't stop glimpsing at her. Despite this, she tried her best to concentrate on her work, as he had asked her to. However, it was difficult because she found herself frequently distracted by Kai's reflection on her laptop screen instead of the task at hand.
Sometimes a small mistake can reveal a few chapters ahead in a story, and the plot takes an unexpected turn. This isn't the direction you would imagine the sweet story to go. The characters undergo changes and challenges, and their destiny unfolds like a well-crafted plotline in a book. So let's say the characters are following their fate

How many times was Kai supposed to deal with her behaviour? Was it just once? No, definitely more than that. Maybe ten times? But that seems too low. What about 50? If she overheard, she would demand more respect. In reality, Kai had probably dealt with her over 100 times, although no one was keeping track...
Just like her older brother, (Y/N) was a party enthusiast. As if they were superhuman, they seemed to have boundless energy and partied non-stop. After a night of drinking, they would wake up with regret but would continue to drink it away at another party. Kai was deeply concerned about this habit and knew that it could be life-threatening. Being the precious boy he is, he tried to intervene, but it was easier said than done. Whenever he tried to stop her, she would ignore him or lash out drunkenly. Only Kai knew about these incidents, as she couldn't remember them.
Any average person would've abandoned her to deal with her problems by now, hoping she'd learn from her mistakes and mature. Or, maybe, an ordinary person would leave her brother to resolve what he had taught her was normal behaviour. Kai had witnessed (Y/N) being influenced by Yeonjun and his bad habits, ultimately transforming into what she was now, a party animal. That is what happens when you idolize someone who doesn't deserve it.
But, no! Kai wouldn't leave (Y/N) because Kai was no ordinary person. He was completely and utterly in love with her. He cherished every little detail about her, from the winks they exchanged on campus to the smiles they shared in lecture halls. He adored her sense of humour and the cute ribbons she wore in her hair. Even her subtle facial expressions, like the twitch of her eye when annoyed, or the tilt of her head when confused, captivated him. Everything about her, Kai noticed and, sometimes, unfortunately, loved it regardless.
Was she oblivious to Kai's feelings, or was she never sober enough to act on it? Was she frightened to ruin her friendship, or did she not like him the same way he felt for her? These were the uncertainties that prevented  Kai from confessing his feelings for her.
Kai was head over heels in love with her, like the kind of love that only exists in books he'd read, but he knew full well that his love for her wasn't just a story. Kai always felt his feelings flutter through him. Unfortunately, there was a problem: he only ever had a chance when she was sober, and that rarely happened these days. She'd started attending more parties and even begun ignoring him during the day, but she expected him to always be there for her. He doesn't want to imagine the things that could happen to her without him.
Kai's friends had been teasing him all day about something that happened last night. However, they only knew the rumours that were spread by a passerby and not the whole story. They were making fun of him for allegedly being involved in a suggestive argument with Yeonjun's sister.
Gathered around the wobbly wooden table in the cafe, Beomgyu playfully tossed his straw wrapper at Kai, a quick tease following, "I heard that you were seen taking her home last night. People say it got frisky just before you left". Before Kai could even react and try to plea innocent, Yeonjun swiftly smacked Beomgyu around the backside of his head. "Don't say that shit! Remember it's my sister you are talking about", Yeonjun huffs, tipping back in his chair and glancing at Kai. Yeonjun was aware nothing had happened, especially since his sister was so pissed off with everyone last night. Kai probably had a tough time driving her home.
Beomgyu launched against the broken table and called out. Evidently, his audacity hadn't run out, "But we want to know, Kai! Did you guys finally get together?". Yeonjun sighed and decided to leave Beomgyu be, thinking it was time Kai started defending himself. Soobin chuckled as he pushed Beomgyu's body weight off the table, knowing Beomgyu was the reason it was broken in the first place. A month or two ago, Beomgyu broke it whilst aggressively reenacting how a girl had flirted with him, but despite the broken leg of the table, they refused to move because it was THEIR table.
"He's been trying to pursue her for the past four years," Soobin said. "Do you really think he succeeded overnight? I don't think so," he added. Kai agreed with their opinions, but he couldn't bear to hear them anymore. The memories of the previous night made him feel sick, and the version of events they knew was far from the truth. Taehyun added his voice to the mix or noise that reached Kai's ears, "Plus, if he'd got with her, we would've all known the second we saw him. Even if he tried, he couldn't keep anything a secret from us'' The boys chuckle at Taehyun's words, knowing that anything Huening Kai knew, they knew. Or at least that's what they thought... Kai had plenty of secrets. Plenty, the boys would be worried about if they knew. They'd quickly learn that Kai could keep secrets.
He understood his friends weren't deliberately rubbing it in. They were only making jokes and teasing him about some harmless gossip that suggested they had slept together. However, the truth was far more painful. He'd stomached teases and dreadful jokes all day long, and now all he desired was to go home and cry. Perhaps he would confront Yeonjun for not helping his sister or chide her 'friends' for only egging her on. He might even scold her for absolutely shattering his heart. But he knew he wouldn't. Kai had already gone through torture. He could endure some more...
~last night~
Music blasted around the house, the structure even possibly shaking at how loud the volume had been spun up. Flashing lights illuminated her briefly as she took one last drink before leaving the filthy kitchen. Drugs were everywhere, cups and alcohol spilt, snacks that had been demolished scattered. She always detested being in the kitchen, but she had to visit it to get her fix of alcohol.
The instant she made it out (Y/N) was on the 'dance floor', being pushed and pulled by people. In any normal situation, she'd love to dance. But right now she was only trying to get to her friends. Guys grabbed at her, but even wearily moving (Y/N) pushed through the people she had to. She knew they were only trying to get her upstairs, but even drunk (Y/N) had no intention of ending up there in that fuckery, literally.
Groaning as she finally made it off the makeshift dance floor, she caught sight of her friends in the corner. She wobbled their way, and once she made it, she fell to the sofa they were sitting on and around. After making fun of her for drinking so much and being a 'lightweight', her friends handed her another drink. If they were complaining about her so much...Why were they giving her another drink? She thought nothing of it and chugged it because why wouldn't she? If (Y/N) didn't, they would only make fun of her some more. After all, she was only here because they wanted to be here.
Growing up, she relied on Yeonjun for friends. These girls were the first friends she made by herself, so (Y/N) wanted to fit in at least once in her life. If it took a drink, or five, or even fifteen to do that, then she would. Even as her friends laughed at her for drinking the concoction they passed her, she couldn't pay attention to them because she spotted her brother among the crowd.
It wasn't abnormal to meet him at a party. They were both invited to more than enough parties that they'd stumble upon each other often. Yeonjun was known for being a renowned partier, the mood maker of a party, if you will. Therefore, he was invited to functions all over the city and occasionally even the next one over. However, something that struck her as bizarre was that he was coming her way. They NEVER chattered mid-party! It was a rule they had so they could try to keep their social lives separate. It mainly existed because (Y/N) wanted to keep the only friends she'd ever made independently away from Yeonjun. So why on earth was he striding towards her? What could be so world-quaking that he'd break the one rule they've ever had?
Arriving before her, he stared at his sister, specifically not at her friends. Yeonjun had very little care for those girls his sister called friends. In fact, he despised them. Maybe that's why he was consistently hostile when they came to the house. But her friends didn't mind, actually, they liked when he voluntarily chose to ignore them. Being overlooked was more attention than most girls got from Yeonjun...
Yeonjun did care about his sister, but what she gets up to isn't his business. If she wanted to have shit friends, then whatever. If she wanted to drink, then whatever. If she wanted to party all the time, then whatever. If she wanted to skip school, then whatever. If she wanted to dance with random people, then whatever. He cared, sure, but it's not his problem. Ultimately she's her own person and she'll learn on her own, just like he did.
The superficial group each took the opportunity to say "hi" to him in the most flirtatious ways. The sound and sight made their stomachs bubble with revulsion, and the sensation of their gag reflex tickled their throats. Actually, (Y/N) was just sick in her mouth, but that may be unrelated and simply due to overdrinking. He blatantly disregarded her friends with a roll of his eyes and communicated directly to (Y/N), "You should probably leave now. You are wasted, and Kai is here to get you. If you don't leave with him now, you know nobody else will get you, or take you home, you'll have to walk. I'm staying here" he tells her, causing a sound of protest to escape her. Why was Kai here already? She specifically told him to get her at 2 at least! Why can't he get anything right nowadays?!
She stumbled out of the overcrowded house, snatching up her purse as she did. Once she caught sight of him, they both started scurrying towards each other. Kai paced directly to (Y/N), whilst she moved like she'd just come off a rollercoaster after 100 loops. Kai moved to support her in her attempt at standing straight, but she slapped his hands off and shouted at Kai, "Don't fucking touch me. Why are you here already? I told you to come at 2". As if a fuse had been blown in her head, her temper was more explosive than normal. Instantly, Kai understood that. He sighed, his expression falling vacant with a tiny blink of the eye, like he was just an empty shell with no shining soul, " I told you that I can't do that.. You know I have an essential exam tomorrow. I have to be on campus early. You told me it would be okay to pick you up at midnight instead" he recounted, not even raising his voice, he expected this might occur.
"WELL, NOW I LOOK LIKE A FUCKING BABY BEING PICKED UP EARLY IN FRONT OF ALL MY FRIENDS!" she yelled, pointing towards the house behind her. Was she joking...? Those were her friends? As if! Half of them only spoke to her cause they wanted to sleep with her, and the other half because they wanted to sleep with Yeonjun. Those aren't what Kai would consider friends. "Are you serious right now (Y/N)? I'm here picking you up practically every night! All I wanted was to pick you up earlier because I'm busy... don't get mad at me, please. I'm your friend as well as them."
Emotions boiled past her breaking point, and she crouched down and struck the grass she was standing on, visibly shaking in frustration. 'Better the ground than me', Kai thought, knowing that she was becoming so worked up she'd probably hit him. It's not like it would be the first time he'd been responded to with a slap from her. Kai could take one to the face, but he can’t take one to the heart. She groaned "Ughhh... I did not fucking say that was okay! I'm not a fucking loser! I don't do things for you! You do things for me! Don't you see that already!? You are not my friend! You are only a fucking lap dog to me!" she curses him out.
Sure, she'd been mad before, but (Y/N) had never fired anything like this at him. His blank expression dropped further, to straight-up dejection at her remarks. Each word cut deep, slashing marks in him that would scar, but the look on his face didn't stop her. "Do you think I give a fuck about your exam, or even a fuck about if it messes up the rest of your life? I don't! But now you are here, just shut up and take me home, so you can get out of my face!" she shouted at Kai, pushing him towards his car. Who gave her the right to tell him what to do and chuck him around?
He thought about leaving her behind, he should have left her behind, but Kai wouldn't. He still cared about her and needed to ensure her safe journey home. The drive home was silent on Kai's part, but she continuously babbled about random things. Kai didn't even understand half of it. But it was clear she'd calmed down now. Maybe, she'd act sober with him when he tried to take her inside. Or at least, that's what he hoped for, he wasn't sure he wanted to speak to her drunk ever again.
Once he finally got her inside and into her bed, she instantly turned away from him, a sharp pang striking in his heart at the motion. Shouldn't he be the one turning and leaving right now? He sat down on her bed encouraging her to turn back to him. "What's wrong (Y/N)?" He asked softly, his voice as gentle as he could make it. Even though she'd hurt him, he needed to make sure she was okay. Shaking her head hastily, almost furious at him or his words, (Y/N) spoke through the small puffs of air she released every time she exhaled, "Kai, you need to go and never speak to me again. I can't endure you anymore. You make me feel dreadful. I know you like me, but I can't be with you, so please just give up on me and leave me alone" she yelled the order at him, turning away from him as if to force him to disappear from her presence immediately.
All motion stilled, frozen in place. (Y/N) knows? No, it's worse than that. She knows, but she wants entirely nothing to do with him. Kai immediately stood up and released the only words he could even consider telling her, "FUCKING SAY THAT TO ME, SOBER!" Then he had no words for her. Kai decided that any words he had, she didn't deserve. She'd drained him, run him dry of any authentic smiles he could've offered. But he loved her... He did all that for her, and she pulled that shit! He wouldn't get over it any time soon.
The drive home was full of him pounding the steering wheel and crying, then quickly blinking away tears so he could see where he was driving. Realistically, it's a miracle he made it home, but a piece of him wishes he hadn't.
He wishes a lot of things had never happened, like the day he first laid eyes on her, or the day they first went out for dinner together, or when she first started going to parties, or him sticking around even though she was a pain, but most importantly Kai wishes he'd never fallen in love with her. Because even now, as he's curled up on his bed, weeping into his pillows, Kai still longs to be with her. How could someone have so many sweet memories with someone all for them to turn sour? It's just not fair!
Tumblr media
Only weeks later, she was at another party, her friends and alcohol controlling her more than she was controlling herself. Each time she felt like she'd had enough to drink her friends were there with another drink, coxing her to indulge herself one 'last time', which was never really the last time. With a giggle (Y/N) would always take the drink, and either chug it or sip it as she talks with someone. Alcohol led her to do many things her friends would suggest.
"(Y/N) go take another shot" - she was already drunk but "yeah! For sure!!"
"LMAO you should go jump into that pool"- she would've never even considered it sober but  "yessss... that would be so funny! I'll do it!"
"You should go dance with that guy"- (Y/N) didn't want to dance with any guys other than her guy, but she didn't really have him anyway... so "ok"
Her friends could tell when (Y/N) didn't really want to do the things they asked, because her response was always much shorter. But, being the girls they are, they had fun with that. Nothing made them happier than the amusement they could get from making her do random things, and all for their fun. They noticed that (Y/N) would do just about anything they asked when she was drunk, shame she wasn't so easy to control sober. Atleast she never remembers how they play with her like a doll when she wakes up, because if she did, they would lose their favourite source of amusement.
After handing her one too many drinks, her world started to spin, her body could hardly be controlled and she ran outside. Well, what she'd consider a run, not what any sober person would. Hiding near the edge of the garden, down the side of the house, she fell onto her knees, attempting to catch her breath. Each breath made her feel better but that didn't mean she could control herself. Trying to stand up she ultimately fell straight back to the floor.
She slammed her head against the wall behind her, trying to rid herself of this feeling. The motion cause a thumping to pulse in her head, making her regret such a stupid idea of hitting the drunk out of her. God she wished she were dead instead of this awful feeling... what the fuck did those girls give her.
As she considers how much she's drunk, realising she can't remember things already, she hears feet hitting the ground. One foot, then the next, coming her way. Maybe if she sat still they wouldn't even see her, that was probably best. The feet drag as the approach her, but she keeps her head down. Ignore them... that's all. But they sit down in front of her with a laugh, a laugh she's heard before but she's not sure where.
She'd expected to see some greasy man when she looked up, it was a sight she'd been met with before, but this time it was different, she saw his face... but he was at a party? Something wasn't adding up quite right. Kai doesn't do parties, hell, he hates them! So why on earth was he within her eye line, looking absolutely captivating in a place like this. Thinking about it, she hadn't seen him around campus as much either... Why was Kai in all the places he shouldn't be?
Her eyes examined him, his hair was messy, sticking to his forehead with a glaze of sweat, his jacket hanging off his shoulders like someone had tried to pull it off him, his eyes blow wide like he'd drunk more than he could manage, but most importantly he carried a bottle in his hands that was nearly empty. Kai was drinking hardcore... dam. Kai was clearly just as drunk as her, but she was having a harder time controlling her body than him. (Y/N) could only laugh at him as her head falls down once again, limply bouncing as it did. She moved like someone had ripped her bones from her and all that remains is jelly.
"Kai... wow, I'm so glad to see you here!" she slurred to him, hitting her friend on the shoulder lightly. He chuckled at her and beamed, "Wow, I was wondering when I'd finally see you at a party. Didn't know it would be in a dodgy bit of a garden" he seemed pleased to see her as if they'd always been friends. Maybe drunk, the duo could overlook what had happened in the darkness of that treacherous night.
But the phrase he used pierced through her mind, reaching any sliver of sobriety she had within her, even if just for a second... 'Finally, see you at a party,' that's undoubtedly, what he said. Does that mean he's been to a lot of parties recently? Wow, THE timid, lovable Huening Kai at parties. She thought she must be dreaming! Well, just as quickly as she'd sobered up she was once again a victim to all the alcohol she had consumed, her mind enslaved like before.
"Do you go to parties often now?" She asked him with a giggle as they both took turns finishing the bottle he'd acquired from god knows where. Kai moved to sit next to her, using the wall to keep himself up, so he could chat comfortably, clearly, they were planning on keeping this up. He hummed and chugged his booze, not even cringing at the taste, a dead giveaway he had gotten used to the intense flavour. "I've been going to parties for the past few weeks. When I'm not at parties, I'm drinking in a club or something" he waved her off, seemingly bored by her question. Kai, bored by her? No, this can't be right, she really must be dreaming.
"Wow, finally one of us. I'm so glad!!" She cheered, falling against his shoulder as they laughed together. They both felt the familiar comfortable aura they did when the duo used to be sober, except they were both wasted now. Finally, they were on the same playing field again. Things felt correct.
Had they never heard that 'all good things must come to an end'? As she's laying on his shoulder, they are giggling at each other, not even talking, not even a single reason to be laughing, but that's the beauty of being drunk. Footsteps sound again, but this time there was more, maybe two people, she wasn't really listening, she'd much rather hear Kai's sweet laugh. A voice practically squawked at her "(Y/N)! OMG this is where you are? Finally getting it on with some guy! It's about time! Hurry up and come meet us", the voice was her friend, Sojin.
(Y/N) pushes herself away from the wall and responds "no... you've misunderstood. Me and him aren't..." she counters, trying to explain what was really going on. Sojin groans and walks up to the duo, squatting in front of Kai and tutting. She rubs her finger across Kai's jawline, tilting his head up to her, "awww, that's a shame because he's stunning. He would've been a good first for you. I'll just have to do what you can't then" she giggles, eyeing Kai.
The words caused a dilemma to form in (Y/N)'s head, stay loyal to her friend and let Kai talk for himself, or stay loyal to her feelings for Kai and push Sojin away. Before she could even make up her mind Kai had pushed Sojin's hand away and scoffed "I don't like girls like you. I have standards". (Y/N) had to hold back her laughter at his words, she'd never heard a guy turn down the girl, but she was glad Kai did. Sojin scoffed and dragged (Y/N) to her feet, turning to speak to Kai quickly "Don't get smart with me, you'll be back... and next time you won't turn me down" she told him, as if there was no doubt.
Getting pulled by her friends, (Y/N) returned to the inside of the house, she passed who she thought was Beomgyu and Taehyun on the way, some of her friends because they were Yeonjun's friends since childhood. Maybe they were looking for Kai aswell? If they returned without him, she'd point them in the right direction. The hands wrapped around her arms were rough, aggressive even as two of her friends dragged her through the house, and over to a crusty sofa she'd refused to sit on before she drunk. Once they'd thrown her down onto it the 'ring leader' of their group, Sojin started whining.
"I can't believe he denied me! Who does he think he is? God I just wanted to slap him! Shame his cute face stopped me. I should go back out there!" She whines, pacing back and forth. Haru, the friend that was chasing Sojin around like a lost lamb, finally released her grip on (Y/N)'s wrists. Having the pressure released brought instantly relief to (Y/N) but it was short lived when she saw Haru get up and whisper something, most likely horrible, into Sojin's ear, causing the girls to giggle instantly. "(Y/N)! You should go and slap him... seeing as you guys aren't fucking anyways!!! What's he even worth to you? Nothing! So go and slap him for me poppet" Sojin told (Y/N), the girl that was known for doing just about anything that came out of her friends mouth. But even (Y/N) had her limits and most of them where because of the very man they wanted her to slap.
"No..." she whispered, but it was loud enough for the girls to hear. The ring leader laughed and hummed as she approached (Y/N), sitting next to her on the sofa. "Awww, I see why you won't do it. Because he is worth something to you isn't he?! You never want to fuck with anyone at these parties, so surely there is a reason..." Sojin grabs (Y/N)'s face with her hand, turning it in the direction of the people entering the house from the garden "he's the reason isn't he?" She giggles, sure she already knows the answer. (Y/N) pouts, trying to look away from the sight of her two friends and crush walking in, "no!" She squeaks, her voice breaking unexpectedly. The ring leader giggles at the sight and whispers to (Y/N) "fine, because I think you are so cute, I'll make sure you get with someone very soon. A girl like you can't stay lonely you know! Plenty of guys like you, don't be shy. It's not like you like that guy right there is it?" She teases, no remorse.
(Y/N) shakes her head "I don't want any of that, I'm sorry". The words that come out of her mouth don't appease Sojin and she's quickly shoved onto the floor "liars don't get to sit on the sofa. Go do something amusing to make up for you not slapping him for me then...!" she told (Y/N), making the girl scramble to her feet and ask "what do you want me to do?".
For the rest of the night she did dares, but as she paced through them they got worse and more embarrassing by the second. What made the dares even more humiliating was she had to avoid men her friends threw towards her all night. The group were either trying to get her laid, make a poor joke or were simply bullying her. No matter what they were up to, (Y/N) stayed consistent and avoided every man that came her way, she wanted nobody else but Kai.
When the time came Yeonjun saved her from the hands of some scum bag her friends had thrown at her, that simply wouldn't let go. After seeing his sister 'have fun' all night he had decided enough was enough and it was time for them to go. Yeonjun was the designated driver for taking (Y/N) home nowadays, and everyone that knew them, soon discovered they were siblings.
Even after spending the night looking at each other from a distance. The duo woke up in their own houses in the morning, the memories of last night non-existent in their mind. Not a single memory of seeing each other, let alone talking to each other.

Days on campus were infinitely bland for Kai, trying to speed through everything so he could go home and drink the ache in his heart away. He couldn't stand the thoughts of her swirling around his head. Each memory reminded him of how much he loved her, he felt soft for a split second, but the bitter memory of what she said that night quickly wiped away any sweetness he once felt. It drove him insane, but even with alcohol swarming his system, he still thought of her, so he had to drink around people. Kai had to be so close to people that it would free him of memories of her.
He'd ceased all the hard work he had previously put into his school work. Kai didn't have time for it with all the drinking and partying. He still pushed himself when he was in school, but with his mental state compromised, there was only so much he could do. Kai, if we were being generous, was capable of only half of what he used to achieve at school. Especially when he knew she was only sitting two rows in front of him. How could he possibly control his thoughts when thrown in such conditions? She'd never turn to face him, (Y/N) made sure of that, and it made him insane. He considered getting up and staring her right in the face so she'd have no choice but to look at him, see what he'd become without her, but he wasn't that crazy, yet....
After chasing him around, attempting to find out why he was neglecting her, Kai told her what she'd said that evening. He wished she'd say she didn't mean it, that she was having an atrocious night when the words originally left her mouth. But instead, she spun around and fled, with no words for him this time. He screeched at her as she left, "TELL ME IT SOBER FOR FUCK SAKE!"... he was desperate to hear her say the words because if she wouldn't say it sober, did she even mean it? Could it be that she's too ashamed and does still appreciate and like him? The mere thought gave him hope. That fantasy was what made everything more distressing.
Everyone, and their family, knew how caring, charming Kai had become a loser. Kai's family, friends, lecturers, and even the shops he frequented to purchase alcohol knew. Despite people trying to stop him and attempting to warn him, Kai couldn't stop. No, he wouldn't stop. The exact way he wouldn't leave her alone all those months ago. Old habits die hard... that's the saying, right?
His friends... They teased him for different things now, like, I don't know, stripping at a party for a dare! They loved that Kai was a bit more outgoing now, but only when he was intoxicated. They couldn't deny that his sober life sucked ass. They weren't surprised he drank bottles at every party he attended. But at least they were there to drive him home at the end of it.
His perfect grades... not so perfect anymore.
His charming face... worn out and gloomy.
His preppy step... dragged as he walked.
His hobbies... disinteresting and bothersome.
His once joyful mood... miserable and sour.
His put-together life... completely ripped to shreds.
She'd heard about it, what he was like... But she couldn't say or do anything. She knew she'd done this, forced him into loneliness. So what did she do to combat her misery and guilt... party of course. So that's how they kept meeting at parties, drinking to the point they couldn't stand, then not remembering anything the second dawn arrived. Again and again, but they had no inkling of what was occurring each night. That was until it got brought up when she was clear-headed by the boy who happened to witness it all.
"Where is Kai, that friend of yours? I haven't seen him in months." Their mum curiously questions, seated at the dinner table with the two siblings. (Y/N) bit her lower lip, withholding all the snappy words that may spill out, hoping that Yeonjun would answer seeing as Kai is HIS friend, but he didn't. She glanced over at Yeonjun, who was staring at her, waiting for her to answer. He knew what had happened between the duo so why in the world was he purposely making her explain why Kai didn't come over anymore. This is cruel behaviour Choi Yeonjun!
"We aren't friends anymore, mum!" she divulged to her mother, (Y/N)'s voice was stern, not how you'd expect a daughter to communicate with their mother. It was a warning... 'don't bring him up again'. Despite this, her mother didn't listen, "I heard that he's become quite a loser. It's a shame... I thought he was such a sweet boy..." she voiced, disappointment mixed with sorrow.
Why was her mother sorry about Kai's change? It's not like he was her son! She should be more concerned about her daughter! Her mum always cursed her out for revelling in parties like that, but when Kai does it, it's a pity. At least her brother tended to be around to help when she needed it. Yeonjun quit drinking as much as soon as Kai stopped aiding (Y/N). Someone ought to take care of his sister. It was finally going to be him. Yeonjun couldn't help but think that it should've always been him. He'd spoken to Kai about that and apologised. Kai and him were friends after all. Originally, he thought Kai didn't mind helping her, but once he apologised and Kai explained everything, he quickly discovered it was agony for him.
"Mum... leave him out of this. It's not my fault he's like that now!" she laments, unmistakable bitterness seeping out. Yeonjun huffs at her words, "Not your fault? Yeah, right..." he was obviously pissed with her. But what gave HIM the privilege to be furious with her? "Don't say that! Kai and I don't even talk anymore. How could any of this be my fault?!" She gulped as she spoke, in her head, knowing she was solely responsible, but that's a big burden to acknowledge.
Yeonjun's eyes widened, "Don't talk? Trust me... you do. You do more than talk, nearly every single night, parties, night clubs, you name it, you guys hang out there." He huffs, frustrated that she is denying it. She withdrew her head and tilted it, a telltale sign that (Y/N) was perplexed. "What are you talking about? Me and Kai haven't spoken in months!" she reminded her brother. It seems Yeonjun's memory was compromised even lucid. He was misremembering things... right? He shook his head, adamant that he was correct, "No, you chat, play games and even dance together. I've seen it all... you literally can't deny it." He told her, eyes slim and narrow, he was undoubtedly, angry at her.
(Y/N) was baffled. She assumed Kai was only becoming a loser, going to a few parties, not drinking the days away every night... what had happened to him? Yeonjun can't be speaking the truth! She doesn't want to believe him! He had to be fibbing because she hurt his friend... must be!
The following day at campus, she chatted with her friends about whether or not Kai was a drinker and a partier now... it didn't turn out how she expected."Yeah, of course, he is, girl! You are the one that sticks by his side when he's drunk. Hahaha, you seriously don't remember? That's so funny!" Haru laughed at her.
"Don't be silly! Don't you remember anything?" Sojin asked, and when (Y/N) shook her head, her friends laughed at her. "Well, seeing as you asked, I'll show you this video I have of him from a few nights ago." Sojin giggled, bringing her phone out and handing it to (Y/N).
The video on Sojin's phone revealed Kai walking away from (Y/N) and into a dance circle, where he got touched up by at least 4 girls, some of them she would consider friends, before one pulled off his shirt. The video stopped there, but Sojin stated he didn't have a top on for the remainder of the evening and that it was super hilarious.
(Y/N) was not amused, however! Why was HER, sweet Kai, drinking so foolish that girls were pulling his clothes off? He would've never been comfortable with that kind of behaviour before! But that's what she didn't recognise. Things weren't as they were before. In comparison to everything about the life she once knew, what she'd just witnessed was alien. He was in a spiral, and nobody could save him.
As she scoured the campus, her worry escalated with each video or rumour she stumbled upon. She even reached out to Kai's friends, but they showed little interest in her concerns. The only reason they paid attention was because she was Yeonjun's younger sibling, they didn't even want to call her a friend anymore. But how could they go from loving her like their own younger sister, to not even wanting to call her a friend?
"Please just let me speak with you all. I need to understand something!" (Y/N) begged, chasing behind them. After some reluctance, they finally gave in and turned around. "Hurry up, we don't have all day! Someone has to keep an eye on Kai... Your brother is on duty right now..." Beomgyu huffed at her, irritation seething out of him. He was trying to control his anger, or he could lash out right now, and he would if she made one wrong move. She tilted her head and asked, "What do you mean 'watch Kai'? Why does he need to be watched? What happened? Is he okay?" She desperately asked, quickly becoming more anxious by each passing moment, worried that something had happened to Kai.
"It's not like you care anyways, so it's none of your concern. Please hurry and speak your mind!" Soobin urged her to speak faster, his eye twitching. Soobin usually appeared kind, but at that moment, he looked like, given the chance, he would kill her. She rushed her words, "Is it true that Kai has been drinking day in, day out? Partying and such..." Taehyun scoffed at her, taking a step closer to intimidate her, "Don't waste our time! We have people to take care of. You already know the answer to that!" he sneered at her, turning and hastily, striding away, presumably going to wherever Kai and Yeonjun were. Beomgyu and Soobin followed closely behind.
As they walked away, it dawned on (Y/N) that Kai was not just a casual drinker but a hardcore one. This realization left her feeling sick and as if her world had been turned upside down. Although she briefly considered following them, (Y/N) ultimately decided against it as she felt she had already done enough.
She finally had a conscience. Sitting down, she reflected on what she had done months ago and how Kai must have felt. At home, she had to resist the urge to pick up her mum's wine and drink it. (Y/N) didn't want to feel like this anymore. However, she couldn't drink when she knew something happened to Kai, and nobody was giving her any information on how serious it was. Pacing back and forth, she considered every possible scenario he could've gotten himself into, as she waited for Yeonjun to come home. He was probably the only person who would and could give her an answer right now. Yeonjun knows she cares, so she was confident he'll tell her. Once she had an answer, she wouldn't have to worry anymore.
But the second he slipped through the door, abandoned all his stuff and tried to disregard her, it quickly became apparent he wouldn't tell her. "Jun, please. What happened? Please!" she begged, chasing him across the living room as he dashed for the stairs. Running out of patience, he swiftly spun and screamed at her, "DON'T FUCKING TALK TO ME! DON'T!  I WILL HIT YOU!" he warned her, sprinting up the stairs and to his room, but he managed to lock the door before she could enter. That didn't prevent the cries that ripped from her, "Please! Yeonjun, I'm sorry, tell me what happened to him! Please. Please. Please..." she repetitively begged, crumpled to the floor with her head pressed against his door.
The words reached him, and he felt awful about how her voice broke, (Y/N) was crying. She clearly cared... but Yeonjun couldn't help but ignore her because she should've cared sooner. Her weeping was pulling on his heartstrings and making him want to leave his room and slap her. He had no patience with her right now... none. He never knew he'd be so furious at his sister. No, furious doesn't even begin to cover what he's feeling.
Yeonjun knew what had happened to one of his best friends, the best friend his own sister happened to break. Kai had been missing for five days, and nobody, and I mean nobody, had seen him. Nobody had heard from him. The group figured that maybe he'd decided to start skipping school, or at least, that's what they said to reassure themselves. No wonder Yeonjun was so pissed off with her last night, his friend was missing, and she was most likely the reason. But when he finally heard from Kai's mum the next morning, he and the rest of the group learned what had happened. That he had been at home practically the entire time. If only they'd gone to visit sooner.
Kai had tried to kill himself...
Kai had tried to take his own precious life...
Yeonjun's closest friend had tried to take his life... And he knew his sister was accountable...
How was he meant to react to the news? Everything he knew felt like a lie, his stomach flipped at the reality, and even his thoughts ached in his skull. Yeonjun was stunned. Kai had tried to kill himself...
Yeonjun couldn't wrap his head around it. But the group took turns to visit Kai at his house, take care of him, monitor him, and appreciate him. After the news, they admitted they never showed their love for Kai enough. Whenever one of them didn't have a lecture, that's where they were, Kai's house. There was no more running off to the nearby cafe and eating ridiculous amounts on a table that didn't even stand straight. No more ditching school to go to the arcades, where they spent more money than they owned. No... Because Kai had tried to kill himself. That was the raw truth.
His sister begging beyond his door wouldn't make it better, wouldn't rectify it. He had to fix everything she did wrong nowadays. The chores she doesn't do, he does them. The parties she needs lifts home from, he gets her. But, worst of all, the boy she'd driven to suicide, he had to take care of him. Not that Yeonjun didn't want to take care of Kai, but it's just that nothing should've happened to Kai in the first place. It was all her fucking fault! What was she thinking? Yeonjun couldn't stand it, her absurd sobs slipping into his room. It was driving him crazy! How dare she cry! How dare she! Part of him knew how she must have felt, but he couldn't stop thinking it was all her fault!
Yeonjun wasn't stupid... He saw how (Y/N) glanced at Kai before she started drinking. She was hopelessly and absolutely in love with him. But once the constant partying kicked off, (Y/N) made Kai's life difficult, she could tell that. So (Y/N) forced him away because she knew she couldn't change herself, so she tried to change how much she'd impact him. But really, it was that (Y/N) wouldn't change herself, she could have... but she chose to drink over him. She had pure intentions, but they didn't work how she wanted. But that's the only bit Yeonjun could concentrate on, the fact that it didn't work out, and now all this had happened.
Maybe if he tells her, she'll clean up her act. But right now, he couldn't even think about speaking to her. He can't set her off and have both of them to worry about. Yeonjun only had time for Kai. Yeonjun was so frustrated that he left her to beg outside his room. The words slowly stopped, and all he could hear was weeping, it was driving him insane. He cared for his sister and never wanted her to be teary, but he couldn't help but believe she deserved this. She was responsible after all. He knew he should've just stayed at Kai's house with Soobin, who agreed to remain with Kai overnight.
Soobin and Kai didn't get a second of sleep. When they weren't playing Mario Kart, they were eating, and even then they spoke the whole night. Kai explained everything how he knew it, and Soobin filled in Kai's blackouts. He explained how Kai had spent countless nights hanging out with her, but they were so drunk neither could remember it. Soobin thought he'd spare Kai from the video's that he had on his phone of the duo. Was it best if Soobin himself deletes them? Or should he give Kai the chance to remember once he was better? Soobin found himself second guessing everything he said or did, he couldn't risk a single wrong move. It wasn't walking on eggshells, it was more like walking on glass, and Soobin felt every step.
Soobin explained how everyone was so worried about Kai and how they wished they'd stepped in sooner. Kai consoled his friend. Kai knew it wasn't their fault. It was his. They were only left feeling regretful because he didn't succeed in killing himself. He wished it had just worked. Maybe then they'd all be able to rest without stressing about him.
Worthlessness consumed Kai, drowning him in doubt in himself. How could he think differently when he couldn't even kill himself correctly, how could he be worth anything when he can't even do that correctly. It's such a simple thing to do, but somehow it didn't work. Kai wished to understand what on earth he'd done wrong but all the doctors told him was 'your body fought hard to live'. That wasn't helpful to Kai, how could he use that to make sure he was successful next time?
"I just hate myself... (Y/N)'s a bitch when she's drunk, but when she was sober, she was always so sweet. Honestly... I thought she might have liked me back", Kai mumbled as he overtook Soobin in Mario Kart. Soobin understood what Kai meant, everyone thought she had a crush on Kai, but hearing the stories now Soobin couldn't refute that she was a bitch when drunk. Soobin just couldn't figure out why she acted that way with Kai... it never made sense. She was so rude when she was drunk but he was sober, but when they were either both drunk or both sober, they were fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
The group had even placed bets on when they thought the two would, finally, start dating. It took awhile for Yeonjun to join in... but even he had to join in on the fun, despite it being his sister. Nobody had guessed that this would've happened, that they'd never be together. They all thought they'd be happy, start dating, be sweethearts that everyone was jealous of. Soobin, at least, felt guilty about the bet. It was almost as if they'd cursed the two of them by betting on their relationship. It was only meant to be a joke, but now it was a haunting memory that reminds him that life changed in a flash.
"What I despise even more is that I still love her. God, I spent my classes staring at the back of her head, hoping she'd turn and smile at me like before. I don't know what I did wrong." he spoke, his tone trembling with each word. Soobin was fighting tears as he listened to his friend. He wasn't sure what made everything go so wrong. Seeing her today made him so frustrated, but he couldn't help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, she still cared about him. The more Soobin thought about it, the more he thought about how desperately she wanted to know if Kai was okay. Maybe it was worth mentioning... if Kai were to react negatively, Soobin was here with him.
"Kai, I spoke to her today." Soobin started, trying to gauge his friend's reaction. Kai nodded and turned to Soobin. That single head motion was the first time he'd glimpsed at any of them since they'd begun coming over. "She doesn't recall drinking with you either, by the sound of it." Soobin explained, and Kai nodded as he huffed, "I'm not surprised... She drinks an entire pool and then some".
Soobin continues, "She found out something had happened to you. She begged us to tell her. She seemed to care whether you were okay". Kai sat motionless for a moment, pausing the game of Mario Kart, before he whispered feebly, "If she cares now, why did she ever push me away?". Then he rubbed his weak eyes and diverted his gaze back to the screen.
They continued playing Mario Kart, and Soobin pretended he didn't notice the tears slipping down Kai's face. Even when Kai's hands shuddered, a side effect from the alcohol withdrawal, making him drop the controller, Soobin swiftly picked it back up and placed it in the boy's hands. A joke would make everything better, "I'll make sure we at least play evenly~", he tells Kai, allowing him to catch up before he begins driving his character around again. Soobin's vision of the screen was restricted to a mere blur due to the tears spilling from his eyes, though he'd never let Kai know that, but that wasn't a problem with how little he glanced at them.
Kai was weak, physically and mentally, and it showed. Every time he shook and Soobin had to help him, it made the older boy cry. His best friend was in such a horrible state, and he couldn't hold back tears every time he was reminded of it. Kai didn't look at Soobin again for the rest of the evening, but the conversation kept up, so Soobin at least had to be satisfied with that.
Morning rolled around, and Yeonjun opened his door to his sister passed out right in front of it. God! Had she slept there? The most he could bring himself to do for her was lift her back to her bed. But then he quickly scampered to Kai's house.
He needed to check that the boys were okay after last night. When he arrived at Kai's with pancakes, the two boys were ecstatic... as if they hadn't eaten all night. Yeonjun managed to get a brief conversation with Soobin, just outside the room, about last night and any progress or alarming signs. Soobin reported as if he'd written down everything that occurred. Perhaps, in his head, he had because he couldn't risk overlooking anything and losing Kai for real this time.
"Even though his parents swept his room, I found another bottle. It was behind his bedside table. I haven't been able to fetch it because he didn't fall asleep, but make the others aware so, if we have a chance, we can take it without him realising and becoming confrontational." Soobin recounts to Yeonjun, driving a sigh out of Yeonjun and causing him to think about how on earth Kai still had bottles in his room.
When Kai's mum called Yeonjun, he was the first to find out what had happened, other than Kai's family, and he had the job of telling the others.
Once he realised the seriousness, Yeonjun sat in silence as she explained.
"Hello, Yeonjun. I am sorry to call. This is Kai's mum. I got your number from my son's phone..." she uttered. He was confused but glad to hear about Kai, "Oh, hey! It's probably about time you got our numbers anyways. We've been coming over for years, and with Kai always losing his phone, it would be nice to be able to contact a grown-up in the house." Yeonjun laughs and then questions, "Is Kai okay? Nobody had heard from him for 5 days".
The woman on the other end of the call held back a sob as she explained, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but Kai tried to kill himself. He went to the hospital, and he's recovering now. We've been able to take care of him for the past few days, but we can't take any more days off work. So before I quit, I was hoping that I may be able to ask you and maybe the boys to pop over to take care of him and check he's okay?" She cries once she reaches the end of her explanation.
Yeonjun held back his tears as he answered, knowing this was very serious. "No, don't quit your job. We can handle the days because we all have different time schedules, meaning someone can always be with Kai. I'll be able to do night, so he's never alone. I'm so sorry your family is going through this... it came out of nowhere." he expressed, and she cried. "Thank you, Yeonjun. But... this didn't come out of nowhere. Kai had been suffering for months. He's always felt lonely, but his mental health suddenly deteriorated a few months ago... he wouldn't tell me what happened. Do you know?" She asked him.
That was when it hit Yeonjun...A few months ago? What had happened a few months ago? Oh yes... that's right... that's when (Y/N) took her last desperate shot at pushing Kai away to save him from her. She had accidentally ruined him... and Yeonjun knew it was all her fault sweet Kai had resorted to this. It made Yeonjun almost throw up thinking about it.
"No, I have no clue what happened. I didn't even know Kai was struggling. He kept it a secret from us..." Yeonjun sighs, thinking about how the group knows Kai as the boy who can't keep secrets. The one that will run to you the second someone tells him something, the second something good or bad happens. If only they'd paid more attention to him... Yeonjun found himself full of regret, blaming himself as well.
"Ah, I see. I'm so sorry, Yeonjun. Do you want me to tell the rest of the boys? Or do you want to? I'm sorry you have to do this. And sorry that you had to find out like this..." she spoke. Quickly, Yeonjun replied, "No, I'll tell the boys, and we will come straight over. Don't worry about us. We will make sure we are there for him and each other..."
When they arrived, they got the low down on what to expect, what to look out for, and what Kai's family had done to help. Taehyun even made notes on his phone, so he never missed anything. He should've never had to make those notes. It was heartbreaking, absolutely gut-wrenching.

Yeonjun spoke with Soobin, "She was at my door all night crying for me to tell her. I know she's hurt, but I don't feel sorry for her! She deserves this! How about Kai... how was he?" He asks. Soobin murmurs, "She deserves it, yeah... but when do you think she needs to find out? She has to eventually... but, Kai was alright. He was trembling a lot last night and didn't sleep at all. I spoke to Kai about her, and he finally looked at me. He seems to be surprised that she still cares. I'd be careful if you mention her..." Soobin warns. Yeonjun pats the boy's back and watches as he leaves. Now it was Yeonjun's turn to take over and Soobin's turn to attend his lecture.
When Yeonjun entered the room, Kai was sat up, harbouring a picture of himself and her, one they'd taken before the partying got out of control. Noticing his friend in the room, he expressed, "If I could turn back time, I'd do everything in my power to stop her. And if that wasn't possible, I'd warn myself. But even then, I feel I wouldn't listen to my warning. I would've done anything to try and keep her safe, even if it was in exchange for myself". He still wouldn't look at Yeonjun, so Yeonjun sat down next to Kai.
Yeonjun wasn't planning on mentioning his sister, but Kai wanted to, so he'd roll with it for now. Yeonjun gently took the photograph from Kai. Yeonjun remembers taking this one.
"Guys smile... gosh, you are both so awkward!" he hollered at the two. She giggled and shouted, "Would you rather this?" then she turned and kissed Kai's cheek as the picture got taken.
Yeonjun had to admit it was a lovely picture. Yeonjun never guessed he'd be okay with his friend and his sister liking each other, but it was so pure and right. At the time, that is.
"I know you still love her, Kai", Yeonjun mumbles, glimpsing back at the picture with a brief chuckle. Kai nods, not willing to deny it anymore like he used to. He used to be so lively about it.
"What do you mean I like your sister?! Are you crazy?! We are just friends! Don't say such silly things!" He'd practically shout as he waved his hands around.
Yeonjun spoke again, "It's difficult, Kai, I know. She spiralled way out of control a long time ago, and I left you to do what I couldn't bring myself to do. I'm such an ass for that, and as I've said before, I'm so sorry. But yesterday was her first day without partying or going out in some way or another, which sounds easy, but-" he gets cut off by Kai, "I know... It's not easy... trust me, I understand that now" he tells him. Yeonjun nods, a small frown appearing on his face, "Well, she spent the whole day worried about you. She stayed home and sober just so she could make sure you were okay. She begged at my door all night for me to tell her what had happened to you. What do you think?" He asks him. The only reason Yeonjun asked was because he could tell Kai still cared about her, but Yeonjun couldn't want her further away from Kai right now. Kai and him were in two different mindsets. Yeonjun knew it before Kai even responded.
Kai grabbed the picture from Yeonjun and laughed, "You are telling me, after all this loneliness. All I had to do was try to kill myself, and she'd return to normal?!" Kai was laughing, but there were tears, real, streaming tears. It ruined Yeonjun... Kai seriously thought that his actions had made her care again as if it was magic.
Yeonjun's arms opened, offering a hug to Kai, and, for the first time in awhile, Kai accepted his comfort. His arms wrapped around Yeonjun's waist, his head resting on his shoulder as he cried. Yeonjun embrace Kai tightly, not wanting to ever let Kai slip away from him. Soft strokes to Kai's back and gentle pats to his head as each sob ripped out of Kai, causing him to shake against Yeonjun. Tears slipped from Yeonjun's eyes, silently, as he held the boy he'd nearly lost. He imagined if Kai had been successful, and how he would've never been able to hold and protect Kai ever again. He loved Kai, like a younger brother, and he couldn't imagine losing him. Yeonjun would ensure Kai lives happily after all this is over.
Kai was so broken and being in Yeonjun's arms made him feel a mix of relief and guilt. Relief because he felt like someone cared, that even if just for a second Kai was okay. Guilt because Kai had tried to kill himself, but Yeonjun clearly cared, clearly couldn't let Kai go. So why did Kai still feel like he wanted it all to be over? He just couldn't fight the shame that built in him as he cried on Yeonjun's shoulder.
"Kai, she's always cared about you. It's got nothing to do with what you did. She's really shit at showing her feelings. When you want me to tell her, I'll let her know. But I seriously think you should focus on yourself now and try to forget her..." Yeonjun tells his friend, rubbing his back as Kai continues to cry.
Kai sniffles as he stutters, "I-I-I want to see her. I just can't yet. Keep her safe until I can." He told her brother, crying some more at the thought of her alone at home crying about what had happened to Kai. It was hard to believe she cared, but Kai didn't care about that. Even getting her to look at him would make things a bit more normal for him.
He was glad his friends were around. It was helping him stay in control of himself. If they weren't here, he probably would've already tried again or reached for the bottles he still had hidden. He couldn't help it, the thought of the drink itched his brain, and he wanted to snatch the bottles. Kai wasn't sure if he wanted to tell Yeonjun, so there was no chance he could relapse, or if Kai wanted to keep it hidden so he could feel better after drinking it.
Did he want to get better... or die?
That was the question in his head. It circled, around and around his mind, as if testing him. He thought about it. Dying. He could try again, do it right this time. Everything would be over, and he wouldn't have to feel like this again. Or, he could try and get better. This was the less appealing option, especially at the beginning, but as he saw how much effort his family and friends were putting in for him, he questioned whether they'd be okay without him. Kai always thought he never affected anyone, especially once he became a loser, he thought nobody cared anymore, but that thought had changed just enough to make him think twice about trying again.
He was in the bathroom earlier and thought about how he could strangle himself with the belt of his dressing gown, but once he'd reached for it, he pulled back. He felt... Guilty. He thought about Soobin, who had spent the whole night playing video games and eating Kai's favourite foods with him. Soobin put in all this effort. Kai can't just do this... or he'd be just like her when she broke his heart. He didn't want to be anything like her, so he left the bathroom before he thought again.
The boys took turns for the next few days, taking care of Kai and helping him get better slowly. It was difficult at times, and Beomgyu had to fight a bottle off Kai one time. That's when Beomgyu searched the room and took all of them. Kai even helped point him in the right direction because Kai was ashamed of trying to drink again after all their hard work. It was a big step for Kai to let them take his last storage of alcohol, but it was a big step in the right direction. It was draining for everyone...
Every time, Yeonjun came home to get changed or washed and then leave, (Y/N) was always there. Chasing him around the house... begging to know what had happened. She seemed fatigued, but Yeonjun could tell she hadn't been out partying but now spent her nights worrying about Kai.
He'd heard from their mother that she goes to school and then rushes home to wait for Yeonjun to enter the door. Even during breaks between her classes, she's at home, waiting for the click of the door. Their mother had no clue what it was all about. Neither child would talk about it, so she assumed it was a dumb thing people do nowadays.
Yeonjun knew it was torturous for her, but he'd promised Kai to only tell her when Kai was ready. Yeonjun loved his sister but, right now, his loyalty was to Kai. He's who needed and deserved it. If Yeonjun was honest, it was eating him up... keeping this from her, neglecting her. He wanted to hold her and keep her protected. Yeonjun was scared of losing her like he'd nearly lost Kai. That's why, the day she wasn't sitting at the door, Yeonjun was instantly screaming for her.
Every time he wanders in, she's there. Sat on the floor, head in her hands as she watches the door like it's the most riveting thing. Yeonjun had suffered with listening and dealing with Kai enough. It was excruciating. Maybe he'd just started anticipating the worst. He found her downstairs in her mum's room, passed out. Their mother had moved her there. He observed her for a while... was she hurt? Did she look healthy? Was she still alive? Was she breathing? Could he feel a pulse? Yeonjun never thought he'd ask himself these questions. His life had been transformed so much in just a few weeks.
It had been two weeks when Kai finally let Yeonjun tell her. So 19 days since Kai tried to kill himself, he was good enough to talk with her and hear what she had to say. Everyone agreed that he probably needed to talk to her... and now Kai was ready. All Yeonjun had to do was tell her.
Yeonjun returned home after Kai told him to tell her. (Y/N) was home once again, nowadays she was always home unless she was at school. Yeonjun had heard that she was no longer a party girl, that her 'friends' didn't hang out with her anymore, and that she sat alone and did what she had to and went home. She'd changed, Yeonjun could tell. He understood how she must feel right now because that's how he felt for the 5 days Kai didn't contact anyone, but he had no clue how she'd react to what happened.
She rushed to the door when she heard it open, and she dropped to her knees in front of her brother, "Please... Yeonjun, please. I can't take it anymore. I cleaned myself up! Please, I can handle it! I just want to know what happened.". Her jumper was hanging off her shoulder, one arm in it, the other out of it. She'd been getting changed upstairs when he came home, but she wouldn’t miss this. She'd considered every single reason they may have to take care of sweet, innocent Kai, but the reason Yeonjun told her she had never expected, she never even considered it an option.
Yeonjun dragged her off the floor and looked her in the face as he explained, "About 20 days ago, Kai tried to kill himself.". She collapsed onto the floor, and held her mouth, tears slipping from her eyes. If it wasn't for the fact Yeonjun spent all his time with Kai, she would've told Yeonjun to stop kidding and be honest. But everything about how they had to watch him made sense with that explanation, she just couldn't believe that someone as sweet as Kai had tried that.
Yeonjun knelt to join her and continued, "He was highly unstable at first, but his parents dealt with most of that before they asked for my help. He was also suffering from alcohol withdrawal. He was not in a good place, and he's slowly recovering. Today he told me he was ready for you to find out..." he explained, holding his sister tightly as she wept. She could scarcely breathe, her lungs felt crushed, and her head felt heavy. "I've done this!" she cried, horrified at what had happened to the boy she endlessly treasured.
Everything she'd ever said to him, done to him, done with him, flashed through her head, and she knew she'd done this. She'd driven him to more than just drinking... How... how did she not realise.
Yeonjun tried to ease her so she could breathe adequately, but nothing helped, and soon she could barely hold herself up. Yeonjun was doing all the work to keep her close to him. She had a severe anxiety attack, it was horrible to watch. But even concerned, Yeonjun knew that if she were to pass out, she'd start breathing again. And when she did pass out, he embraced her even tighter than before. She understood it was her fault, Yeonjun knew it was her fault, but he couldn't imagine how horrendous she must feel about herself right now. Responsibility can be thrown around, as Kai used to when she wouldn't stop partying. But it was different this time. It wasn't a game. The group genuinely nearly lost Kai.
As she learned to cope with herself enough to be seen in front of Kai, he listened to Yeonjun about how she'd reacted. Kai wasn't comfortable with how she reacted, he felt guilty for worrying her, but he was almost glad she felt dreadful. Kai wasn't sure if that should've made him satisfied, but he couldn't help it after all the hurt she'd caused him.
It was 5 more days until they finally met, and Yeonjun stood in the doorway the entire time in case it got out of hand. He trusted them, but he had to be cautious. The duo were both unstable in some way or another.
She wandered in and noticed that he looked better than she'd expected, but he wasn't the boy he used to be. He looked miserable. Kai saw her and noticed she looked healthier, probably from the lack of alcohol streaming through her, but she clearly didn't sleep well nowadays, neither did he.
"Kai..." she muttered, practically sobbing the second the words left her mouth. Yeonjun observed Kai reach for her hand to soothe her, but he pulled back, hesitant. "Hey (Y/N)..." he responded, and he looked like he wanted to cry just as much, but he had no tears left.
Then she started talking, hands pressed together, "I'm so sorry for everything I did to you. Everything I made you deal with and listen to come out my mouth. I'm so sorry I forced you away from me. Nothing I say could ever make it better. I never meant for it to turn out like this. Kai, I am so sorry." She gets cut off by Kai, who finally places his hand over hers. The sudden feeling of his hand on hers made her shocked. Not only was he holding her hand after everything she'd done, but she couldn't help but realise how cold his hands were, they always used to be so warm. When the words came out of his mouth, she wasn't sure whether to be surprised or understand. "If you are sorry, why did you ever do it?" He questioned, asking the very thing that he'd been wondering ever since the day Soobin brought her up.
He glanced at her expectantly, and her mouth hung open as she turned to Yeonjun, silently asking whether it was okay to say what she wanted. Her brother nodded and watched the situation as she turned to Kai, who had now let go of her hand and was waiting.
"Kai... I-" she wavered and breathed deeply before continuing, "Kai... I have no excuses for my actions or words. I was acting like a complete bitch. When I became addicted to partying, I realised I was putting you through so much and making your life hell. I couldn't stand it. I- I- couldn't do that to the boy I- the boy I liked... I just couldn't. But I also knew I couldn't stop partying. When I told you to stop talking to me, I thought I was doing you a favour. I thought I was making your life easier. You wouldn't have to deal with me that way, and I thought you'd be happier. I didn't realise it would work the opposite way..." she confessed. It was horrible to admit what she'd done because she knew it had ultimately caused this, but Yeonjun was proud she could at least own up to it. Maybe she'd learn from this, and hopefully, the closure will allow Kai to get over her.
Kai opened and closed his mouth, words trying to form, but he didn't have anything that fit how he felt. He sat silently and rubbed at his head, it made sense, but it made no sense. Thinking he had a chance made sense. The sweet way she acted with him made sense. How she started ignoring him and being distant when the addiction to partying got worse made sense. The way she could never admit she didn't want anything to do with him sober made sense. But why she would ever give up the boy she supposedly liked for partying? That didn't make sense to him. But then he took a minute to consider his addiction to alcohol and how he'd dropped his friends and family for it. Maybe everything perfectly made no sense.
He finally spoke, "Did you miss me?" He asked, and she didn't waver at the question, "Always, but I thought I was doing it for your good. I'm so sorry, Kai." He wanted to laugh at her response. It was just too ludicrous for him. He'd heard a saying once, "Right person, wrong crime," and thought that applied to them right now. They were right for each other but did all the wrong things. She was so close yet far, and now they were like this. It was too late for them now. He wouldn't forget how she made him feel, and she wouldn't ever forget what she made him do.
Tumblr media
Months later, it was nearing the end of the school year, and they didn't speak anymore.
Yeonjun had forgiven his sister, and supported her when she couldn't handle what she'd done, he was there for her. The boys had stopped being furious with her, and now they could speak to her and understand both her's and Kai's situation. By no means did they like her the way they used to, but that didn't matter because she had stopped hanging out with them all, the way they used to. Let's just say, they didn't hang out at Yeonjun's any more.
Kai had forgiven her, had accepted why she did what she did. He learned that addiction does horrible things to people, including him. But (Y/N) wouldn't ever forgive herself. Every time she passed Kai, her heart would ache, but nothing she could say or do could help her overcome that. She'd done a terrible thing, and she'd live with that.
Is it selfish if she wishes, in their next life, they could meet again and things would go well for them? She hopes that her red thread of fate is tied to him, and that they'll be together again. She'd once heard that the thread can become stretched or tangled, but it will never break. Being away from Kai like this must be their thread stretching, she can cope with that if they can be together in another life. Thinking about it she's endlessly glad his attempt didn't work because otherwise his sin would've cut their red thread of fate, and that's even worse than losing him once, that's losing him forever.
Kai was learning to forgive himself for giving in to alcohol, letting himself get to such a dark point, and loving her even though she was abusive. He found it easier to forgive her than himself, but he was slowly getting there. Kai was in therapy, and with support, he would get better. He was beginning to flow with life once again, instead of letting life flow through him. He moved with time, he didn't get left behind, people don't have endless time after all, he should make the most of it. He was trying harder in school, and people could see he wasn't a loser anymore.
Everyone could learn a lesson or two from this.
Yeonjun should've taken care of his sister from the beginning. He could've helped her before she made the biggest mistake of her life. But he wouldn't step up to that kind of responsibility and left it to the wrong person. Yeonjun needed to be a big brother, but he wasn't.
(Y/N) should've tried to give up partying when she realised it was getting bad, but she willingly chose to keep indulging herself to the point of addiction. She could've had a proper conversation with Kai about her feelings instead of pushing him away like a fool. But she wouldn't give her efforts to the right things. She took the easy route, or at least that's what she thought it was at the time. (Y/N) needed to be honest, but she wasn't.
Kai should've let go of her when she first pushed him away, had he never heard the saying 'when you love someone let them go'? He could've spoken to his friends, the boys that cared endlessly for him. They could've helped him, or at least offered their unwavering support. But he wouldn't stop loving her. He continued to cling to his dreams that they'd be together. Kai needed to be a bit more selfish, but he wasn't. Kai continued to put everyone else before him.
And for that, they all learnt that love was the most captivating spell that could quickly turn into a sour curse.
He would still glance at the back of her head sometimes, and she would still watch him in the reflection of her laptop screen. But that was it. They were once the main characters of each other's story, but that's it. Every tale has an end, and this is how their story ends. There was no happy ending, no romantic twist. Just two people who would live with the memories of their story. You can reopen and imagine a book. However, you can never change it.
Occasionally, they think about the story as if reading the book. The spine of her book was undoubtedly more worn than Kai's. But in the end, they always close it. That's how the story ends. Close the book... and try to move on.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he's gorgeous i love him sm
a/n: thank you for requesting !! this isn’t really angst because angst makes me sad i tried to write different stages of life (like meeting as kids, a party during high school, leaving for college) but idk if it makes sense. i hope you like it !!
warnings: reader’s mom dies (barely mentioned), mentions of drinking/drunk people
your mother’s hand presses against your shoulder, gently pushing you towards the family. “it’ll be good to have some friends your age,” she had said. her skin is cold against your shoulder. you shift away from her, stepping closer to the family. a girl smiles at you, stepping closer to nod her head in a small bow. “hello,” she greets. “i’m lea, this is kai and bahiyyihh.” the other girl smiles at you a little, quickly bowing. the boy stays close to his sister’s side, nervously looking between you and her before bowing himself.
“i’m y/n,” you smile. lea smiles at you, kneeling down to whisper to kai. he glances at her before taking a step closer. “do you want to play? there’s a field over there.” he smiles a little, nodding. “great!” you hold you hand out for him to take, eagerly pulling him along towards the fake grass.
Tumblr media
“y/n?” you curl further into yourself, staring into space. the man sighs a little, kneeling down next to you. “i’m sorry. i know this is difficult. kai’s family offered to take you in for the time being.” your eyes brim with tears, moving further away from him.
“i wanna go home.” the man glances over his shoulder at someone before standing. kai’s father is the next person to kneel down next to you, placing a warm hand on your knee.
“we can stop by on the way, okay?” you contemplate it for a few seconds before pressing your hands against your eyes, wiping away the tears.
“okay.” he gives you a gentle smile, coaxing you to stand up. his hand almost eclipses yours as he takes it, guiding you away from the hospital room.
you clutch onto the sides of your backpack as kai’s father leads you up the steps to their house. it looks intimidating in the darkness. it’s warm when you step inside, kicking your shoes off and standing off to the side awkwardly.
“kai, why don’t you show y/n your room?” the other boy nods before reaching out his hand. you hesitantly take it, letting him lead you up the stairs.
Tumblr media
“woah!” you press yourself against the glass of the enclosure, trying to get a closer look at the animals. a bear lazily blinks in your direction as you kneel down to see it better. another bear slowly moves through the enclosure before laying next to it.
kai chuckles from his spot behind you. “it’s just a bear, y/n.”
“exactly! it’s a bear!” the animals remain unbothered, sleeping in the middle of the enclosure as you stand up, reaching out to grab kai’s hand. you pull him along to the other side to get a better view of them. you push up on your toes to see through a higher window, supporting your body weight on a rock. kai leans over your shoulder to see through as well. “have you ever seen bears before?”
“come on, they’re sleeping.” kai grabs your hand, coaxing you away. “let’s go look at something else.” you stare at the bears for a few more seconds before nodding, stepping down off of the rock.
“okay, what do you want to see?”
“i’m sure there are some signs around.” you nod, eagerly tugging kai along with you in search of more animal exhibits. a sign in the middle of the zoo is filled with pictures of various animals and arrows.
“there’s an arctic exibit,” kai reads. “i wanna see the penguins.”
“let’s go!”
the arctic enclosures are separated from the rest of the park with an ornate sign. fake snow creates the illusion of the cold despite it being the middle of summer. your grip on his hand remains tight as you wander around, looking at the various animals.
kai finds himself entranced by the penguins, staring at the black and white animals as they waddle around their enclosure. “you’re so cute,” you chuckle.
“huh?” he can feel a blush spread across his face as he glances at you before staring back at the animals.
“you’re cute,” you nonchalantly repeat. kai tries to turn his attention back the penguins but he finds himself entranced with your smile instead. his heart races when you squeeze his hand, pulling him away towards a different enclosure.
Tumblr media
the soda is flat when you take a sip. you can smell the vodka it’s been mixed with as soon as you lift it. it feels sticky in your throat as you grimace at the sour taste, throwing the cup away. music continues to blare from the speakers, almost suffocating you as you make your way through the house. people lay sprawled across the various furniture and floors in the living room.
“y/n,” your friend slurs, throwing him arm over your shoulders. you can smell the beer on his breath as he laughs, leaning in closer. “looking for someone?” he teases, raising his eyebrows suggestively.
“just kai,” you shrug his arm from around you, leaning to look into the dining room. “have you seen him?”
“he was outside earlier with jamie. they were laughing and shit,” he hiccups. an unfamiliar feeling crawls through your body. it stings against your chest before settling uncomfortably into your stomach. you stiffen a little, stepping over a drunken teenager.
“thanks.”
the cold air stings against your exposed forearms when you step outside. the sliding glass door doesn’t close correctly behind you. the sun has fully set by now. the only light streams through the windows of the house.
kai is laughing with jamie when you find them sitting beside the pool. she has his jacket wrapped around her shoulders, reaching over to playfully push him. you push your heart back down your throat, walking over. “kai?”
“oh, hey y/n,” you walk closer, wrapping your arms around yourself.
“it’s late, your dad wants us back home by ten.” kai pulls his phone out of his back pocket, turning it on before sighing. he turns back to jamie with an apologetic smile.
“sorry,” you shift uncomfortably on your feet as you watch them.
“no, no, don’t be,” she says. “i should get going too. i’ll see you tomorrow?”
“i’d like that.” kai smiles. he stands up, making his way back over to your side.
“oh, what about your jacket?”
“i’ll get it tomorrow, don’t worry.” you can see the blush on her face even in the dim lighting.
“thank you.” kai nods before turning to you. you ignore the hurt nestling itself in your stomach, following kai out of the house.
Tumblr media
kai traces his finger along the lid of his cappuccino. you set your own cup aside, nervously playing with your hands. “so, i was thinking of moving to america for university.” your words hang heavy in the air. kai looks up at you, blinking with wide eyes. “i was accepted at nyu a few days ago and i think it would be good to study abroad.”
a sinking feeling blooms in kai’s chest. you look down at the table, waiting for him to break the silence. the warmth from his coffee feels nice against his hands, almost like it’s grounding him. “i don’t want you to go.” the words shock himself as much as they shock you. you furrow your eyebrows, leaning a little closer to him. he anxiously looks away, ears burning with embarrassment.
“what?”
kai’s voice is quiet, almost a little shaky. “i want you to stay.”
“this is a great opportunity for me-”
“i know!” he shrinks back a little. “i know, but… i can’t lose you.”
“kai,” you reach over, gently setting your hand on his arm. “you won’t lose me.”
“no, you don’t get it,” he sighs, staring down at the floor. “i love you. i don’t want you to leave, because i’m in love with you.”
it feels like the world stops. your breath hitches in your throat before the shock wears off. you move your hand to grab his, leaning a little closer. “i love you too.”
“what?” his eyes are a little teary when he looks up at you.
“i thought you liked jamie, so i was gonna leave.” kai stands up, wrapping his arms around you. he buries his face into your shoulder. you hold his waist as he clings to you. you’re not sure how long you stand there, holding kai in the middle of a park. your coffee sits left forgotten on the table.
he pulls back a little, leaning his forehead against yours. “i love you,” he repeats. his eyes flicker from yours to your lips. “can i kiss you?”
you smile, moving a hand to his cheek. you slowly lean in to press your lips against his in a sweet kiss. he smiles into it, wrapping his arms further around your neck.

Not so Sugar Sweet - Toxic Huening Kai version
Warnings: Toxic behavior, One-sided feelings, Slight violence, Threatening, Slight Possessiveness, Kai is very harsh, cursing, humiliation (?) (Someone please help me with the warning for the love of god).
Tumblr media
3RD PERSON POV
In the midst of the bustling student crowd, she stood. Her heart felt like a broken record, playing a disharmonic melody that not even the liveliest chatter could drown out.
She moved through the world like a shadow; no spotlight ever found her. She was the whisper amidst the crowd, the subtle brushstrokes on the canvas of life's bustling painting. Invisible—that's who she was.
Unfortunately, invisibility never bothered her like it does now.
Unlike her, Huening Kai was made to shine. He was a radiant beacon, a constellation of brilliance in the midst of ordinary constellations.
It was her fault for getting ahead of herself, forgetting her reality. She had always been the forgotten shadow, a spectral echo in the clamor of attention, slipping through life's pages unnoticed. While he was a luminary, a sunlit melody that demanded the spotlight, a presence so vivid it seemed to paint the air around them.
She was the quiet kid, a nobody who only kept to herself and had a few friends.
So, why would anyone believe her story? How could they possibly fathom that she had poured her heart into a night of passion with him, only to awaken to the cruel truth that it was a one-sided dream? A fantasy that dissipated with the morning sun. How could they believe that she didn't willingly give him a piece of her heart; rather, he had snatched it away just to shatter it into a million pieces?
Ah, yes, that's who Huening Kai was. Behind his pretty face lay a harsh truth. Much like a painted porcelain doll with a hidden crack, a facade of beauty veiling the fractures within.
Huening Kai reveled in the attention, relishing how the morning sunlight embraced him and how everything seemed to shape itself according to his desires.
He stood casually, hands tucked into his pockets, his back nonchalantly resting against the wall. A playful smirk danced on his lips as all the girls surrounded him. His physique and height towered over everyone, and his features were so impeccably chiseled that he looked like he didn't belong in this world. His eyes linger, glancing at the crowd of admirers before meeting hers.
In that singular instant, a realization hits her: she's the only one who can see the darkness in his eyes. The monster hidden behind. She notices the twitch in his jaw; he is not happy with her.
She forgets how to breathe as she trembles in her spot. She feels someone shaking her, taking her out of her trance.
"You alright? You seemed as if you'd seen a ghost," her friend asked with concern, her grip on Y/n's arm tightening.
"Y-Yea, it is nothing. I need to get some air; let's leave, yeah?"
She grabs her friend by the hand, almost sprinting out of the hall until they both reach the school's sports hall.
"Come, let's settle by the poolside to ease your mind," her friend proposes, gently guiding her to a seat at the pool's edge. They dangle their feet in the water, its cool touch offering a soothing embrace.
They lingered in silence, savoring the simple presence of each other. For Y/n, these moments were a necessity—a tranquil interval to untangle her thoughts and mend the fragments of her wounded heart.
Twenty minutes unfold in this manner until her friend opts to shatter the quietude. "How about this," she proposes, "I'll dash over to fetch us a bite to eat while you stay here and chill?" Y/n responds with a nod, a gentle smile curving her lips in agreement.
"So, you're avoiding me now?" The silence is short-lived, abruptly replaced by a solemn voice emerging from behind her. Her heart comes to a halt, her body locking in place as she instantly recognizes that voice.
"K-Kai...." Her voice trembles; her gaze meets his. His expression remains unreadable, a cold stare accompanying his deliberate approach. Though she yearns to distance herself from him, her body remains rooted, as if ensnared by an unseen enchantment. Casting a quick glance behind, she realizes her position at the pool's edge. A desperate attempt to retreat is thwarted as Kai closes in, leaving her cornered and defenseless.
He clutches her arm with a vice-like grip, the force leaving behind a vivid imprint of his fingers. "Are you going to cry? Don't bother." His grip tightens, making her cry out in pain. Tears cascade down her cheeks as she remains unmoving.
"You're the one who wants me, so don't even think that you are ignoring me." His fingers press into her skin with increasing intensity, while his other hand ascends to seize a handful of her hair. "W-Why are you doing this, K-Kai?" Her words find a way through the veil of tears.
He remains silent, watching how pathetically she breaks down in front of him, but he doesn't care. He never did.
"Don't act like a victim. What did I tell you about not telling everyone about what happened between us? I told you to act like you don't know me, but did you think I wouldn't notice you looking at me so fucking longingly?" He lowers his head, resting his forehead on hers, his voice taking on a serious tone. The fear that gripped her was beyond measure—a sensation as if her heart had plummeted to the depths of her stomach.
"I-I didn't tell anyone." Amidst her tearful sobs, she stammers, unable to meet his gaze.
"You're a fucking leech, you know that? Even if you did tell someone, they wouldn't believe you. You should be glad I even looked your way in the first place." His lips draw near to her ear, a smirk tugging at his mouth, his tone playful but laced with threat.
"I am sure you wouldn't like it if everyone knew about our little rendezvous, right? They would just think of you as one of the many whores who are willing to spread their legs for me." He backs away slightly, both of his hands firmly clutching her forearm on either side.
"I hope you know what's good for you." He tenderly sweeps her hair aside from her face, his actions at odds with his words as he turns to leave. She stands, head lowered, tears veiling her face, her hair disheveled, staring expressionlessly at the ground.
He arrived solely to dismantle the defenses she had erected against him. That's just what he did. And it was then and there that she realized that light, too, could have dual faces. It wasn't solely brilliance and beauty; concealed within its radiance lurked a darkness far more menacing than the obscurity it illuminated. Lightning isn't just a dazzling streak across the sky; it's a fierce reminder that beauty can also bring pain. That alone defined Huening Kai perfectly.
On the other hand, she was an idiot. She was the one who mistook a storm for a breeze, believing in a calm that was never his nature. In trying to find gentleness, she unwittingly embraced chaos.
Ah, yes, that was the true difference between them. He was the radiant sun, and she, the delicate shadow. His destiny was solitude—a lone brilliance that painted the sky. Yet the shadow found its purpose only when touched by his light, an ethereal dance of existence woven in their contrasts.
It's unfortunate that being lonely fits him, and she was made for begging 'stay'.

"I'll be coming over tonight, so keep your door open."

TXT WHEN YOU ACCIDENTALLY CALL THEM YOUR HUSBAND
Tumblr media
includes : ot5 x gn! reader
warnings : n/a just a lot of fluff and giggles
Tumblr media
yeonjun smirked at the way you attempted to brush over how the word husband slipped out of your lips when you were talking about him to your friend. he made a mental note to tease you about that later but for now, he's perfectly content with basking in the lovesick dizziness that he was left in with the way the word "husband" sounded rolling off your tongue.
a shocked smile appeared on soobin's face when he heard your tiny slip up. his heart almost beat out of his chest with affection, when you stumbled oh so adorably over your words in an attempt to cover it up. his hand reaches to grab yours to which you squeezed his palm. husband? yeah he liked the sound of that a little too much.
beomgyu's head snapped around to look at you the moment the word mistakenly slipped from your mouth. you already knew he was not going to let you live this one down. "husband huh?" he teased a playful kind of cockiness evident in his voice, "oh stop it gyu" you watched his smile grow further at how flustered you were getting , you wanted to almost slap the smirk off his face but maybe just kissing it off would have to do
taehyun couldn't help but stare at you, though you'd not noticed your mistake, you were still innocently babbling to your friend on the phone,
but he certainly had, it had almost set off a switch in the back of his mind. he liked that word on your lips, he wanted you to say it almost a hundred times over if that's what it took for it to become a reality.
hyuka was quite embarrassed to think that one word was all it took to make him blush, but when it came to you... well he couldn't stop it. though on the outside he tried his best to remain calm and not fluster himself further, he was absolutely screaming inside.

౨ৎ making the bed !
pairing: hueningkai x slightly toxic!reader summary: life was miserable for you. it wasn't for kai. and while he could never change your circumstances, he was there for you. word count: 0.6k extra: inspired by olivia rodrigos making the bed ! and it's not happy. y/n has mental health issues !! implied death of a loved one . lots of mentions of being drunk .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you were notoriously aggressive. not in a negative way, just well... set in your ways. you always got what you wanted in the end, even if you didn't always go about it in the best ways. which is why it was shocking huening kai was so drawn to you.
kai was thoughtful, where you were thoughtless. not much happened in your brain before you made a decision (not that you were dumb anything, you just were brash!!!) yet kai was meticulous, calculating.
to you, everything was a sign for something else. you played pretend, dressing up behind fake smiles and forced laughter. there was such little joy left in your left. anything fun you somehow managed to ruin.
and kai was all too familiar with your behaviour. it worried him.
some nights, you would disappear, only to show up at his door at an ungodly hour. drunk. only propped up by two slightly-sober friends. he'd let you stay with him. he knew you couldn't go home. not like that.
yet come morning, you'd be gone. you'd push and push him away for around a week, then show up drunk once again. your drunken confessions usually lasted under ten minutes, yet they made everything make sense.
you were miserable with your life.
you were more miserable when you would startle awake in the middle of the night, kai instantly rushing to your side.
he was always there.
he had to be.
the one night he wasn't, everything changed.
"i’m sorry, i heard about-" kai began, already fumbling for words. what do you say to someone who may lose the person they hold closest to their heart? there is nothing to say. nothing to fix the wrongs.
"don't. she is not your sister lying on that hospital room." you snapped, yet there was no visible anger in your eyes. not towards kai at least. towards the world, maybe. but not towards him. you were hurting.
"i know what it feels like to have someone you care about in danger. when there's nothing you can do for the one you love. all there's left to do is sit through the storm, and pray it doesn’t sweep them away."
two years.
every night whilst you slept terribly, battling the nightmares, he sat awake in bed, wondering what could have been different had he been there.
he brought it up once to a friend, who simply laughed in his face. they told him you had a 'victim complex'.
you were fucked in the head, basically.
and kai knew that if there was even any truth to that statement, you were already trying to fix that. you were seeing someone, getting help. your life was out of your control, and you were working to get it back.
some days were simply worse than others, for both you and kai. you teetered on the edge of love. drunkenly, you would tell him you loved him. and stupidly, he would believe it.
a chemical imbalance in your brain. or so kai tried so hard to believe. anything besides the choice that sometimes, you were just cruel.
it was hard to believe that, though. because when you were good, god you were amazing. you could be so sweet, so apologetic. you regretted being who you were. and it was obvious to kai when you would cry into his sweater, a sobbing mess.
you, at the end of the day, were the one who made all those bad decisions. you were suffering the consequences. you were the one to blame. there was nowhere to hide. accountability was knocking on your door. and while you refused to answer it for the time being, kai would be there when you were ready.
he always would. you're the one making the bed, but kai would always be by your side.
