First Kiss (Break 1)

A strollonso AU where 18 year old rookie Lance Stroll falls helplessly in love with the notoriously mean world champion. (1.2k words, no warnings) [@v3lnys] {filler chapter? I just felt like Lance and Nando getting closer would make more sense if they spent break together + Mark}

They had two weeks off and Lance had absolutely no plans, Nico was on vacation with his family to god knows where, Fernando had probably already arrived in Australia, and Lance didn't have any other friends on the paddock to worry about.

He had thought about going back to Canada but he just ended up back at his house in Switzerland. Spring had started by the time he got home so it wasn't like he could distract himself with snowboarding so he just ended up at home on his couch for the past five days.

Being alone was nice, but a part of him missed Fernando, oddly enough. They'd only ever hung out on the paddock but Lance had grown to look forward to the time they spent together, whether it was actually sitting and talking or just exchanging glances while in the middle of interviews.

As if it was fate, his phone began to rang. It was an unknown number but he figured it might be important, his dad had a history of calling him from random places just to check up on him, as if the 18 year old hadn't been left alone before.

"Hello?" He said, holding his (very small) phone to his ear

"Lancito, I am so glad you answered!" a voice on the other end spoke, a very familiar voice

"Nando?" Lance questioned "How did you get my number?"

"Is not important!" The Spaniard said, brushing off the question "Lancito, are you busy? If you are, cancel, come to Australia."

"No, I'm not busy." Lance responded, wondering if Fernando was really inviting him to Australia, wasn't he with Mark? Wouldn't that be awkward? "Is something important happening in Australia?"

"Si, You are coming, is important."

"Nando, I-" The younger boy laughed, not being able to wipe the smile off his face just from hearing the other mans voice "Sure, I'll come."

"Perfect, I'll send you the information, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, okay Nando"

"Bye, Lancito! Have a safe flight"

And with that the call ended and Lance wasted no time in buying the tickets to Australia (idk how people bought plane tickets in 2006...)

Lance got off the plane, trying to pat down the hair he could feel sticking up, he always slept on long flights and this one was no acception. It was weird being in Australia a week before he had to but he wasn't going to turn down Fernando is he wanted Lance there so bad, for whatever reason.

It was a Sunday morning and the airport was surprisingly busy, he eventually found his way out and got a taxi headed towards the address Fernando had texted him

"Just landed, headed your way now!!"

Lance stared at the screen before sending the message, just now wondering why exactly he was there, he wasn't blind to the media, especially when he was constantly being interviewed and asked questions fans were dying to know, he had heard the rumours, people saying Fernando was only talking to him to scare him, he was going to embarrass him, he had some ulterior motive, Lance hoped it wasn't true but now that he was blindly following Fernandos orders in another country while he was visiting his friend (who's seat he took) a part of him started to wonder if Fernando was planning something. He hit send.

They'd hadn't texted much, just Fernando sending him the information he needed and Lance thanking him before he got on the plane and turned off his phone, he wasn't too fond of it anyways.

"I am glad you made it"

"Is exciting"

"Tell the driver to go faster"

Lance smiled at his phone, excited to see the Spaniard again, even though he saw him not even a week ago.

"I shouldn't break the law yet"

"I just got here and my dad isn't here to bail me out!"

"I will do it, no worries Lancito"

He shook his head at the text, turning off his phone and waiting to arrive, not too far away from the location

He stepped out of the car, paying the taxi fare then walking up to the house, hesitating to knock. Maybe texting would be better? Or calling? Or anything besides knocking? Before he even had the chance to decide the door opened, revealing a slightly-taller-than-him Mark Webber and Fernando standing by his side, the two closer than he thought they would be

"Lance, welcome, so sorry about making you come so randomly." Mark spoke first, stepping back to invite Lance in

"It's no problem, I wasn't doing anything anyway" Lance smiled as he walked into the house, scanning what he could see

"I told you Lancito didn't mind" Fernando said to Mark, hitting his arm slightly "Is good to make sure you two get along before people start to speculate, ay?" Fernando smiled at Mark then at Lance, reaching up to flatten the hair still sticking up on his head

Lance wasn't sure why he was surprised Fernando was still calling him his nickname, he didn't know why he expected anything to change with Mark around, Fernando seemed the same, if anything he seemed happier around Mark. It made him feel bad, he was the reason Mark lost his seat, the reason Fernando's friend was no longer on the paddock, the reason Fernando had to settle for him instead.

"Well, Lance, I don't mind that you took my seat" Mark laughed, closing the door before putting an arm around Lance's shoulder "I was done with travelling all the time anyway, so don't beat yourself up over what people say"

Lance nodded, Mark was right, and he was pretty old so it made sense for him to be smarter.

"Now, how about we have fun now that we've dragged you to the land down under?" That made Lance smile, he was looking forward to spending the rest of his break actually doing stuff besides binging TV shows.

The next week went by so quick Lance was surprised when he actually had to go to the paddock, almost as surprised as fans when he showed up with both Fernando and Mark.

He hesitated when Fernando suggested all of them going together, worried about what people would say, but the older men made it obvious they couldn't care less so thats how they ended up going together, Mark having plans of doing interviews around the paddock and spending his free time in sither the pink or blue and yellow garage.

Being in Australia a week early was great, they were busy the whole time but Lance enioyed it, loving the time away from his phone and especially away from the media. It made him notice how close Mark and Fernando really were, he felt jealous at times but it was probably just because he was used to having Fernandos attention on him after quali and races, he felt selfish for feeling that way so of course he never addressed it.

"Where are you going first?" Lance asked, looking at Mark, both of them on either side of Fernando

"I was thinking of interviewing people first, it's gonna be weird being the one asking the questions"

"As long as you stay far away from me, we're good"

Fernando shook his head, pulling the taller man closer "We really need to get you used to the media, eh? All you do is complain" He sucked his teeth after he finished teasing Lance, earning nothing but an eyeroll from the teen

"Yeah, yeah." Lance smiled, not able to stop himself when it came to Fernando "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

And with that the race week started.

Hi Milky! I hope you're doing well 🥺 Things have been going a lot better for me! I've been able to manage my schoolwork a lot better and I'm really happy about it. I can't say I haven't had other things try to bring me down since we last talked (I had a really bad roommate who just moved out and she tried to ruin our lives in the process 🙃) but despite that, I'm really doing well. But I think maybe it's because for the first time in like 4 years.. I have a crush! Ahhhh it's been so long I forgot what feeling like this felt like LOL it's making me very giddy and happy and Idk I'm just all 🥰 had to gush about it for a second bc I still can't believe it! I went the entirety of college not only without a boyfriend but without even liking anyone idk it's just crazy! Whatever ends up happening I'm just happy :) I think we'd be good friends even if nothing happened so that's fine with me too!

Also as I'm writing this I took stalin out! He says hello 🥰 we are enjoying lying in bed and doing nothing but write to you this morning! I hope school is going well! Do you have finals and then leave immediately afterward or do you still have some time to enjoy Korea after all that is over? I hope you stay a little bit after school ends! I'd want time to be able to completely devote to exploring! I'm such a homebody that I usually don't go out and do much unless I have absolutely nothing to do and that hardly ever happens so I imagine I wouldn't have seen too much of Korea if I had gone 😭 reading your logs has always been so enjoyable. You've done so much!! That's so crazy to me. There's so much you saw and yet I'm sure there is so much you didn't get to see. Do you think you'll go back and visit again after you leave? I'm sure I'd want to relive all the memories! Plus who could say no to a trip to Korea!! Someday I'd love to go myself. Idk how well I'd handle it bc I have pretty bad dietary restrictions and I don't understand the concept of going out and doing things, but I bet it'd be amazing! I'm hoping I snap out of the last thing if I end up abroad studying Russian. I gotta experience it all yanno?

Also yeah yanno it is pretty sad about mashi and yedam 🥲 But honestly I'm really happy for them. A hiatus to do things that will make them happy is so so so good. It was probably hard to make that decision but I'm really glad they did. A hiatus like that is so much better then just up and leaving the group 😭 I hope we get news about chiwoo eventually. I just hope he's okay 🥲 Oh but I saw that you're getting to see treasure again!! Ahh I hope you have fun!! That'll be so awesome 🥰

hello my beloved!! i was definitely stressed about my exams before, all of them are on the same day so i have 4 on the 16th T.T and then some on wednesday, some essays due this weekend,, but going to the festival treasure performed at was suchh a stress relief ! even though it took time away from studying, i really needed it :>

i think i have just less than a week after my finals to 'enjoy' my time, but really i have to spend it packing, running some last errands and saying bye to the very few friends i made T.T but honestly it's okay ! i was running out of funds to sustain my time here so it's really time to go back,, and that's alright!! i understand though--i'm also a homebody but i think being with T, who was set on making the most of every second, i think durin gmy 5 months here, i only spend like 5 days (not including quarantine) where i was just at home/stayed in my area.. so i definitely made the most of every second! definitely there are things i missed--i went to gangreung but T and i didn't know how to navigate properly so we didn't get to enjoy our time there T.T so i would really want to go back there! and to incheon!! i'm looking into studying my masters here but the degree/program i want is not really offered here T--T also i'm so ,, touched that you read my logs :") <33 towards the end of my time here i stopped writing detailed logs but i hope i can upload all my photos soon so i can at least have those up :")

omg i think dietary restrictions are a little tough here but i know a lot of exchange students who are vegetarian or vegan and they have found their ways! so i'm sure if you came you could too <3 and you could even ask me and maybe i could recommend some things/help you out~ but yes yes omg i think when you go and study Russian, you'll learn how to enjoy your time!! i also didn't know how to go out and do things, but coming here has taught me how to have a good time, even if i'm on my own! it's about finding the right people and if you can't find them, learning how to go out and have a blast alone <33

i definitely agree! i'm glad Yedam and Mashi were brave and comfy enough to do what is right for them, and teumes will wait for them <3 i'm just a little sad the next comeback will likely be ot10 T-T and also Mashi and Yedam were not at the festival but omg ,, i can't believe i got to see my boys and that close too T-T i left my house at 9am so i could wait early for when they perform at 3:40pm--i got sunburned and it was so hot but it was worth it T--T i was so much closer than i was at the concert and let me tell you they looked angelic ! and they were so happy hearing their fans cheer for them for the first time :")

MINA AH. Yes!! Yes it isss, I’m always nervous about posting longer excerpts since I’m not sure how long to go before people lose interest, you know? (It’s also unedited so I have to deal with that, too. ^^) But I’m super happy you like the graphics! It’s a simple colour edit and a texture, but I think it came out well!

But! I will say, there are going to be parts of the story that focus on the scary side, as well: first off, Dione originally intended to use this curse as revenge on an enemy of hers. That in itself is... unsettling. Second, Colin does feel helpless. He’s unable to do a lot, and this definitely comes up. So I completely understand, and no hard feelings at all, if you don’t wish to follow the story!

I love how contrasting this comment is from the previous one. XD I’m glad you found it fun, though! Colin acts as the comic relief a lot, but he’s a much larger part of the story, too!

As for your questions: Dione’s reaction isn’t really the most... hopeful, for a shape-shifting ability. More like... she messed up. A lot. And though Colin is oblivious to it, she’s not the most confident when she says she can fix it, either. Oops.

MCSM S2 E4 Commentary

Wow I have forgotten what this episode even was about. *whispers* I actually never finished watching a playthrough so I guess I'll see some knew stuff. Heh. I'm scared. I managed to get changed, get my food, update my tumblr, and this thing is only 55% complete. HOW LONG IS THIS EPISODE?

Quite funny that I've already said this much stuff and the episode hasn't even completed downloading. I wonder who actually ever reads this? Sorry about not writing my commentary for the last episode. I just didn't want to stop the episode every three seconds to write. Speaking of that, I might just paused every ten minutes to write. Huh. Thank god it's at 83%. I'm worried. This soundtrack, oml. It's finally done downloading. See you on the other side. Is Radar the narrator now? Admin, Admin, let me like you. I want more Warden interactions. Oh look at this awful frame rate- that's my fault Wait I forgot that I gave in and became a guard. Nurm, I love you. Warden didn't deserve to die. Hii, sorry I forgot that I wanted to recommend you some good klance fics oml sorryy. I looked through fics I have read but none of these are really ... good. They are not as bad as the most fics (imo) but you will be disappointed so I don't want to link them. But I am looking for good fics and if I find one, I will tell you :)

No problem anon, please don’t feel bad for not having anything yet!! :D But just fyi you really don’t have to be afraid of reccing any fics to me - I’ve read a lot of fics that didn’t make it in my fic rec tag. Like, a lot of them :’D I’ve even read plain bad fics until the very end simply because I liked the trope. There are a lot of things that I… well, not exactly hate, but certainly dislike and I still read the fic anyway.

I’ve never been too picky about the fanfics I read. There are different reasons for that - I know that my likes aren’t everyone’s likes, I know that they are created in someone’s free time, I know that writing is hard, I know that you can only get better through practice, I know that fics are self-indulgent 90% of the time, I go into every fic with no expectations so it’s hard to disappoint me, I know that not everyone has the writing skills to really tell the story they want to but they try anyway. If a fic has more than 3k words and a summary/tags that appeal to me, I will read it :P

Everyone starts somewhere. And I get that not everyone can do the same thing as I do for their own reasons, but I just really love reading different explorations of the characters. Sometimes even… well, bad fics have amazing one-liners in them that made me grin to myself :’D I’m a really simple person, if I clicked a fic and managed to read it to the end I will leave kudos. That’s literally all it takes for me to leave them. If I really liked it (especially when see that there are next to no comments yet) I will also leave a 3 (sometimes more) sentences comment that points out what parts I liked the most^^

People all around would be surprised if I told them some of my least favorite tropes in fandom/fics. Especially since some of them are so popular that I cheer when I find a fic where it isn’t like that :’D I’m just a really chill person and don’t let certain tropes/awkward wording/a few scenes with bad characterization turn me away from a fic with a potentially interesting story. I know that this approach to fanfic is unusual and I don’t ask anyone to follow it, it’s just for you to know that you don’t have to be afraid to rec things to me :P

[The one thing I really can’t do is read block texts. Please. Please, I’m begging you, add paragraphs. One new paragraph for every new person that speaks - yes, it’s that easy. Do yourself a favor and trust me on this :’D]

They’re very hardworking but still a joy to be around. They do so much but still find time to make other people happy.

Probably find motivation lmao it usually hits me late at night so not having to sleep would let me get so much doneee
