#i had some frozen mangoes

Here's what you're gonna do.
You're gonna go down to your local Aldi's, buy a 24oz bag of frozen mango chunks, a bag of rice, and two cans of black beans.
If you don't already have them; salt, lime or lemon juice and cumin; maybe some meal prep tupperware. Pouch tuna if you like that stuff.
Once home, put that bag of mango chunks in a bowl full of warm water so they defrost. Don't pen it. The bag needs to stay closed. This'll make sense later.
Prepare enough water in a pot to cook two cups of that rice. Make sure the pot's big. Big enough to hold way more rice than you expect there to be. Add a teaspoon of cumin, two tablespoons lime or lemon juice, salt according to preference. Pat of butter.
Boil. Make sure the butler's melted. Stir to combine.
Add your rice. Cook according to rice bag.
If you have a protein, you can cook that now. 20-30 minutes at your disposal. If not, that's why we got the second can of beans for.
I recommend Aldi's tuna steaks - quick to defrost, 5 bucks for 2-3. Lean protein. Real nice. Creme de la crumb's tuna marinade also works real nice if you have the energy.
A pouch of tuna's just as good functionally.
Less mercury that way.
You can mix it in that if you want, too.
Strain your beans. Conserve a little bean water for the rice if you want.
Your rice is done.
Add your beans. Twice as many if you're feeling like it'll be a bad week. Two or three pouch tunas too if you want a little extra.
If you have the lemon pepper kind you can probably nix the citrus juice.
Now we go back to your mango. If all's worked correctly, the warm water should've thawed them somewhat, the heat warming the air in the bag.
Dump 'em in, turn the burner to low heat. Stir until well combined.
Portion out into Tupperware.
You've got a good couple meals right there. Even more as side dishes if you have the energy to cook chicken nuggets or fish or veggies or whatever.
Lunch. Breakfast. Dinner.
Carbs to keep you awake and moving.
Protein to fuel your muscles.
Bit of fiber to push it all through your guts easier.
Citric acid to avoid the scurvy.
Can be eaten hot or cold, and the shit's good, too.
You're gonna have something tasty to eat whether you can operate a microwave or not this week.
That's what you're gonna do.

Tumblr media
The smell of weed was what first drew you outside to her. Well, it was a college party - there was going to be weed. But this was different. It was different. Somewhere, through that euphoric dizziness made from a punch that was more moonshine than mango juice, you smelled roses.
Like some fucked up cartoon, your feet carried your body out of the house, the air inside now warm from the oversupply of body heat and drunken dancing. God you were hot. A palm against your flushed red face once hidden from the colourful ambiance of the living room cooled you, as you weakly shoved your way around until you reached the door. Thank fuck.
“No, fuck-!”
You tripped. Either from your untied laces or the small ledge between tile kitchen and wooden porch, you couldn’t remember, but either way, you now found yourself face fucking first on the damp porch. Shit, you were drunk.
…And it felt nice. Really nice. So nice, in fact, that you couldn’t help but nestle your face against the cold floor, too focused on your slowing heart rate, your lowering temperature - the music from inside only detectable now in faint vibrations through the floor. You could stay here for a while, you thought. It was so quiet, and so cold and comfy,
“N’ it smells like roses…” you giggled to yourself.
“Yea? Think it’s just the weed, baby.” Ellie snickered to herself. And you jumped.
“Gah- holy shit!” You whisper-yelled and snapped your head up at her voice, body still splayed frozen like a starfish on the floor as your eyes adjusted to the dark. A couple metres in front of you sat Ellie Williams on the stairs, barely visible, and only by the small dot of light at the end of her joint and the soft glow of the street lamp.
She stared at you, while blinking slowly, a grin lazily painting itself across her face. You glared at her back, for destroying your peace, as she took another drag from that stupid joint. Your relaxed mind pinpointed the source of the roses - now stronger than ever - but it was too relaxed to understand what it really was. And Ellie noticed your staring.
“It’s uh, rose infused. My own special blend.” She waved it around as she spoke, looking proud of her creation. And the overstuffed baggie of cash by her side proved why.
“You wanna try some, cutie?”
You sat up at a leisurely pace, struggling a little in the dark. Then, you huffed out a laugh at this whole situation as you looked down at the floor in shame. Of all people you ran into, it was the fucking drug dealer. The only person you would have nothing in common with. You were 20 years old, for fucks sake, and you had never smoked weed.
“I um…can’t.”
“Why, already high? You look it.” She snickered again. Strong fucking strain, you thought.
“No, I just….can’t.”
“Oh.” Ellie furrowed her brows, leaning against the railing as she tried to find the words. God, this was so embarrassing, you just wanted to go back inside. And you almost did - twisting yourself around and leaning back on your feet to stand.
“…..want me to teach you?” She called out, waiting for your answer, and when you didn’t give one, she laughed, this time. Seriously, was it the fucking rose shit or what?
“Just-” Ellie tried saying, broken up with giggles.
“-come here. ‘M gonna try something.” Hesitantly, you tiptoed over to sit opposite her on the stairs, curious - and a little nervous - at what Ellie was planning. She took another deep drag, before sitting up straight and crossing her legs, focusing on you. And by now, you were blaming the butterflies in your stomach entirely on the alcohol.
“So, y’ever heard of shotgunning?”
Oh, fuck.
“Uh- yeah. Somewhat.”
And maybe if you weren’t so drunk, and if it wasn’t so dark, you would have noticed Ellie’s eyes trailing down to your lips. And maybe how her smart choice of shoes that night, a platform pair of converse, tucked itself perfectly between her legs - the slightest of pressure to ease the ache forming. But her eyes snapped back, all bleary and red, as she focused her attention back on making eye contact once again.
“And you won’t get nervous if I just…..get close or anything?” She was whispering now, already closing the distance bit by bit, a small smile adorning her face.
“No.”
She took another drag.
“And you won’t get nervous if I do this?” Her voice even softer now, as her hand - warm from resting in the pocket of her hoodie - gently cupped your face. The smoke coming from her mouth making your eyes water at the proximity, and the smell of roses making you heavy headed.
“No.” By now you were whispering, too. And she paused, eyes flicking to your lips again, this time lasting longer.
“Then close your eyes, baby.”
Through the rosy haze of weed smoke and alcohol, you could barely register her command, closing your eyes ever so slowly. You heard a small a small hitch of breath, and then a long deep puff of the joint in front of you. The hand cupping your face shifted slightly as Ellie rubbed her thumb gently along your skin, asking you to open your mouth. And when you did, you could have sworn you felt her thumb brush against your bottom lip, the both of you almost in a trance with each other, before the warm smoke blew into your mouth.
Fuck, was this really happening? You almost forgot to inhale it. But you did, in the end - the smell and taste of pungent weed lined with pink, airy roses sinking deep in your lungs. You let it sit there, resisting the strong urge to cough, before opening your eyes and exhaling slowly in tandem. And what a sight you were met with.
Ellie, with red, droopy eyes, mouth still open slightly as she watched your lips move and smoke billow out. Ellie, with the tiniest of curious smiles on her face as she watched your eyes slow to widen at the closeness of her face to yours. Ellie, coming even closer to your lips the longer you sat there.
“So, how’d you rate it?”
“Eh, a six….” You thought out loud.
“…I smell like roses now, though.” And you started giggling, as you stared at Ellie’s playfully unamused glare at your rating.
“First of all, fuck you - a six? Second of all, you smell like weed with roses.” She retorted, pinching your cheek softly. Fuck, her hand was still there, too. You tried to play your nervousness off, poking her in the centre of her chest as you tried to play back.
“And you smell good.” You whispered teasingly, leaning close once again. But Ellie, thank god for her higher tolerance, predicted exactly where you were going. Moving her hand from your cheek to the arm outstretched to her chest, pushing it to splay widely against her, trapping it there at the wrist, she met you in the middle. And your lips, between the thick smoke of it all, just breath touched. It went quiet again. But the heartbeat you felt between your fingers broke the silence each time it beat.
And you couldn’t see her expression so late at night - or so early in the morning, you should say - but the way her breath hitched, the way the soft beat of the music from inside of the house went quiet in your head, and the way the butterflies in your stomach became so very present-
“Do I smell good enough to kiss?”
You hesitated once again, hand once outstretched again her chest now closed in a loose fist.
“C’mon, baby…..you can’t do this, too?”
Oh, fuck you, you thought, stealing the joint and taking a hard drag, much to Ellie’s surprise - and amusement.
“Yeah, you gonna teach me or what, Williams?”
The joint now smoked the the butt, and crumbling to bits as Ellie scoffed, snatching it out of your grasp and flicked it onto the driveway. Both her hands free now as they grabbed your face and pulled you in.
“Better be more than a six…”

untouchable - trevor zegras
next part
in which, lola hughes could never date her big brothers best friend. he was untouchable in every sense of the word.
Tumblr media
going to the lake house had always been lola’s favourite time of the year. she didn’t think she could love it anymore, that was, until trevor zegras started showing up every year about four years ago.
from the second the girl saw the boy, him being 18 and her 15 at the time, she was completely infatuated.
but over the years, her infatuation began to become tormenting. her brothers had their suspicions. they all knew her like the back of their hands, so, it was completely out of the ordinary when the outgoing girl suddenly became shy and introverted every time the zegras boy was around. they found it amusing, especially since not only would trevor never feel the same (meaning he wasn’t allowed to feel the same) but he was also completely oblivious to the fact.
so, after years of torment, lola knew that this year was going to be no different. in fact, it was probably going to be worse.
her parents had decided to take a summer trip to europe, which meant that the amount of her brothers friends that would be staying at the lake house would be amplified. which meant, she was only going to become more invisible than she already was.
she was the first to arrive that summer, being able to finally drive by herself after the impossible mission which was getting her license. she had gotten frozen yoghurt from the shop just a few mere minutes away from the house and was currently sat at the kitchen table eating it whilst scrolling tiktok aimlessly, awaiting the arrival of her brothers who she hadn’t seen since christmas.
the door opened, announcing the arrival of the first hughes brother, which happened to be luke. and by the sounds of loud laughter, he wasn’t alone.
“lolly!” luke exclaimed when he saw his younger sister sitting by her lonesome. looking up from her phone, she smiled at her brother and the four other boys who were with him. she recognised one as dylan duke, luke’s best friend for like forever, but she wasn’t sure who the others were.
“is that frozen yoghurt?” one of the boys asked. the girl nodded at her head, looking down at the frozen yoghurt that she was finished with before sliding it over to him. the boy thanked her loudly before grabbing the cup and taking the seat next to her. “mark.” the boy introduced himself, mouth full of mango flavoured sorbet. “lola.” the brunette girl smiled back.
“fine, i’ll take your shit upstairs, no worries man.” ethan rolled his eyes at his friend before walking passed the two and up to where all the bedroom were. luke followed, ruffling up his sisters hair as he did so.
“god, ethan has been grumpy the entire trip.” mark complained, offering lola some of her own frozen yoghurt, to which she denied. “he turned off the radio once i started singing along, i took it personally.” dylan told the girl as he sat down on the other side of her.
“and for that, we are eternally grateful.” the last boy smiled sarcastically before also taking his belongings upstairs. “was he also grumpy the entire trip?” lola asked as she watched the boy leave. “no, mackie is in a permanent state of grump.”
lola laughed before the three fell into a comfortable small talk. they asked her questions about college, scrunching up their face when she told them she would be going to boston, they then proceeded to call her a traitor and would seek her out at every hockey game to remind her. they were even more offended when she told them that she had also gotten into michigan, but had still chosen to go to boston.
the front door had opened once more, interrupting the trios new conversation about what they wanted to do that summer.
jack entered, followed by alex and cole. lola jumped from her seat at the sight of the caulfield boy. “coley!” she exclaimed before tackling him in a suffocating hug. jack scoffed from behind the two, hating how his little sister liked his best friend more than him. “rude.”
“sorry jack, you’re so right.” lola smiled at her older brother before turning to alex, also jumping him in a hug. jack only rolled his eyes before travelling over to the fridge and opening it. “there’s no food.”
“go get some then.” lola shot back, crossing her arms when jack looked over at her with an expectant look. “but i don’t know what to get.”
“get food.” lola retorted like it was obvious. “can you go and get it?” he asked. “no, why is that my job?” lola shot back.
and alas, summer had finally began when lola and jack began to argue. the sun beamed hot and the boat swayed calmly in the water at the sound of the two bickering.
jack had stopped arguing, opting to just holding his card out to the girl. cole and alex, who saw this every year, smiled at the refreshing sight. lola eyed the card before snatching it out of his hand. “fine, but i’m buying myself something pretty.”
“we’ll come with you.” dylan spoke from the kitchen counter, mark nodding his head as they both got up from their spot. “thank you, new found friends.”
what was supposed to be a short trip to the grocery store, ended up a thirty minute food run and a two hour target adventure. lola had quickly realised that both mark and dylan were the perfect enablers to all her bad decisions. they had run around target like children without adult supervision until a worker had told them to leave.
coming back to the lake house, there were a few more cars outside and a lot more noise inside. all the boys were huddled in the living room when the three arrived back home, yelling at a tv screen which had a very intense game of mario kart playing on it.
“quinny!” lola exclaimed before jumping on the boy. quinn laughed before moving his sister beside him and wrapping an arm around her. lola loved all her brothers equally, but quinn was very obviously her favourite. “hi lolly.”
“really? i didn’t even get a hug!” jack exclaimed from the other side of the room. “i didn’t even get a hello!” luke countered. lola shrugged nonchalantly before refocusing her attention back to the screen.
“i got next.” trevor told everyone as he walked into the room. lola tensed at the sight of the boy, quinn laughing at her reaction silently. trevor glanced at the girl, his signature smile overtaking his face as he saw her. “what’s up, littlest hughes?”
she hated how he called her that. it reminded her of how he was never going to see her as anything but his best friends little sister. he couldn’t even call her by her name? really?!
“hi, z.” the girls voice was quiet, but just loud enough for everyone paying attention to hear it. those people being her brothers and mark, the estapa boy frowning at her reaction.
“babe!” a high pitched voice rang across the room as a bleached blonde, model type woman walked into the room. at the sight of one of the boys girlfriends, excitement filled lola up at the fact that she might not be the only girl here this summer. she could actually do things she wanted to do now, like get her nails done or tan.
but when trevors head perked up, and he got up from his spot on the floor to make his way over to the unknown girl, all excitement left her body. she watched intently as the two shared words before trevor nodded his head and guided his girlfriend up the stairs by the small of her back.
“whose that?” lola whispered to her older brother, who quickly took his eyes off the game to glance over to the retreating couple. “her names hayley, she’s trevor’s new girlfriend. she’s real nice, i’m sure you’d like her.” but as lola nodded her head stiffly, crossing her arms and sinking into the couch, quinn realised how wrong he was.
later that night, all the boys had retreated outside to play a game of.. well, lola wasn’t sure what it was but they basically just kicked a ball around. she had been playing with them all before jack kicked the ball too hard at her head, causing her to fall on the concrete and bust up her knees. after that, she had opted to sitting on the sidelines and watching.
she had been so caught up at quinn and luke avenging her by pegging the ball so hard at jack that he yelped every time they got their hands on it, that she didn’t even notice the boy approaching her.
“hey, littlest hughes.” she smiled up at the zegras boy, “i brought you a little something.” the boy took a seat beside her before handing her a bag of frozen peas. “stupid jack, always doing something to annoy me.” she said before taking the bag of peas. “thank you.”
she couldn’t help but gaze like a lovesick puppy at the boy, who paid no mind to the way she looked at him as he laughed at her remark.
“you know i’ll always be here to give you frozen peas when jack injures you. happens at least once every summer.”
this was true. jack had a habit of hurting his younger sister every summer, purposefully or accidentally. it didn’t matter, it just always happened somehow. one summer, he had to save her from drowning as she sprained her ankle when jack pushed her into the water. she still remembers how angry quinn was, it makes her laugh to this day. but everytime, trevor always showed up with a bag of frozen peas, whether she was crying in her bedroom or laying hopelessly on the floor of the kitchen.
“at least we got it out of the way this summer.” lola shrugged. “eh, it’ll probably happen again. you’re accident prone.” trevor laughed. lola scoffed loudly before hitting him in the arm repeatedly with the bag of peas. this only enhanced his laughter as the two began to hit each other with the same bag of peas.
“babe,” hayley approached the two, raising an eyebrow at the twos pea fight. lola felt as if she had been caught in the act, but trevor was nonchalant as he looked up at his girlfriend. “the boys want you back.”
trevor nodded as he climbed to his feet, “let me know when those ones melt, i’ll give you a fresh batch.” he winked playfully at the hughes girl before running back to his friends. both hayley and lola watched him leave with similar smiles before the blonde girl took a seat beside lola.
“hi lola.” she greeted. “hi hayley.” lola greeted back, an awkward smile displayed on her face. the two fell into an uncomfortable silence. hayley was the first to break it. “so, how long have you had a crush on trevor?”
out of all the questions she could have asked, this was the one that lola was least expecting. she almsot spit out her glass of water she was sipping on. "e-excuse me?"
hayley laughed at her response, "please, i see the way you look at him. plus, trev told me how you follow him around all summer. i think it's cute, really." lola couldn't tell if she was being genuine or not, which only make her more intimidated by the girl in front of her. "but hey, we've all been there, right?"
now, lola was even more confused. "been where?"
"had a crush on someone would never want us back."
god every word that left the girls mouth made lola's skin crawl. she wanted to punch the girl in the face, but lola also knew she was right.
"i mean, it's not like trevor would ever want you back. he's your brother's best friend and he's with me now."
lola nodded her head along to the girl's words, her mind running a million miles a minute. "i'm glad you understand that. see ya 'round." and with that, hayley was walking over to the group of boys to watch from a closer angle.
she wasn't sure if she should be mad or upset by the girl's words. i mean, everything she had told her she already knew. but she didn't need to be confronted about it. and trevor had told her that she followed him around all summer? that was probably what hurt her the most. she thought her and trevor were hanging out, but he apparently found it more annoying than he let on.
looking over at the group of boys, lola's faced etched in a large frown, she made eye contact with luke. her brother tilted his head in questioning, to which she just shook her head in response. the boy's eyes found hayley, narrowing them at the girl before flipping her off when she wasn't looking. this produced a small laugh from the youngest hughes sister, which allowed luke to return to his game with a content smile.
"hey, i brought you this." lola's eyes snapped over to mark, who was standing over her with a bag of frozen carrots. his eyes fell to the bag of frozen peas in her hand, and his smile dropped. "oh, nevermind."
lola's eyes fleeted over to trevor, who was watching the interaction with a furrowed brow. "these one's are melted anyways, thank you." lola smiled back up at mark, taking the carrots from his hand and placing the peas onto the table.
mark's face lit up as he took a seat next to the younger hughes girl. the two sat in a comfortable silence, watching the game unravelling before them.
"did you want to go get frozen yoghurt?" mark suddenly asked, catching lola off guard as her head snapped over to him. the boy looked nervous, which was so unlike the boy she saw in target today throwing weighted blankets on top of dylan to make him fall over. she smiled shyly at him, nodding her head before standing up and grabbing his hand. both of their faces heated into a red hue, as lola guided him through the house and out the front door to his car.
trevor watched the two leave, a little hurt at the disregard of his frozen peas. it was a hughes summer lake house tradition, and she had broken it for some lousy carrots.
"z! throw the damn ball, bro!" alex exclaimed. trevor rolled his eyes before throwing the ball and turning his attention to jack. "your sister just left hand in hand with that estapa kid."
"who? mark?" luke hadn't meant to eavesdrop in on the conversation, but when he heard both his sister and his best friend being mentioned, he couldn't help himself. trevor nodded his head in response. he knew how protective the three brothers, especially jack, were over their little sister, which is why he brought it up in the first place.
"mark's a cool guy." luke shrugged his shoulders, "and lola can do whatever she wants." this wasn't the reaction trevor was hoping for, but he wasn't sure why he was hoping for the opposite.
"why do you care, anyways?" jack asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. sure, he didn't want his sister getting into a relationship, but he would deal with that later. however, he wasn't going to let trevor, the boy he knew lola had liked for years, ruin her fun.
"i don't, man. just thought i would let you know." trevor shrugged, before walking off to find his own girlfriend.
when the boy was finally out of ear sight, jack pulled his phone out of his pocket. "what are you doing?" luke asked his older brother.
"telling lola that she better not be doing anything she shouldn't be."

Macaque x F!Reader: Sweet Scent
I had this super cute idea, but I know I am not creative enough to make a super long story with said cute idea. Although, after I finished writing this, it DID turn out longer than I thought it would be. Not complaining about that too much tho cause this was a lot of fun to write. Regardless, I hope you guys enjoy this little fanfic.
Tumblr media
Y/n was out in the marketplace to get some things she was running low on.
'Snacks, drinks, dinner meals, mangos for Macaque...' Y/n listed off in their head.
Last thing she needed to get was some new body wash. Of course, Macaque had thrown out her previous body wash because it was peach scented. Of course, Y/n chose that particular bottle simply to push his buttons, but she couldn't help but feel a bit bad about it now.
Now, she was looking at some body washes and found one bottle that caught her eye:
Mango and Pomegranate Scented Body Wash
Curious, Y/n picked it up and thought about it. Mangos and plums were Macaque's two favorite fruits. Some mango bodywash may be just enough to make it up to Macaque for the whole peachy scent.
But to make it better, Y/n also spotted some sweet plum and lavender scented lotion.
Talk about perfect!! Y/n purchased the two scented items and rushed her loot home before Macaque got back. He had made it an unspoken rule for himself that he gets home before dark. Y/n looked at the sun beginning to set below the skyline and knew that she didn't have much time left. So, she picked up her pace back to her apartment.
Luckily, Y/n got back with just enough time for a quick shower to try these new items out. She sadly didn't have enough time to unpack the rest of the groceries, but she could handle that later.
She immediately grabbed everything she would need for her shower and practically dove into the warm water when it got to the temperature she wanted.
Once her lightning-fast shower was done, Y/n got out and began to change into her lounge clothes. As if on perfect cue, Macaque called out to her.
"Y/n? You home?"
Y/n opened the bathroom door with their laundry in tow and greeted her loving partner. "Yeah, was just taking a shower before you got back." She walked past Macaque to take her laundry to her clothes basket.
When Macaque caught a whiff of Y/n as she walked past, he was almost frozen to the spot. He knew that Y/n bought him mangos, but the scent of mangos and plums was all over her!
As Macaque was trying to get his brain to work again, Y/n came back over to him and hugged him from behind. The scent was incredibly strong, and Macaque had the smallest of smiles on his face.
"Did you get a new bodywash?" Macaque said with a small laugh. He was really struggling to hide the giddy feeling in his chest.
"Yeah." Y/n squeezed him a little tighter. "Do you like it?"
Macaque spun around and hugged Y/n tightly. He placed his head in the crook of her neck and took in the scent, feeling as if he had just taken a breath of fresh air for the first time ever.
"You kidding? I think I just fell in love with you all over again..."
Y/n was surprised at that statement, as Macaque was normally not the type to get all mushy or open with his feelings. But based on the bright red blush on her face, it was safe to say that she was not complaining.
"Love you too, dork." Y/n said, wrapping her arms around him in turn.

hello! recently ive had an obsession with drinks, and almost each night ive been making one, ranging from chai latte to orange julius, to milkshakes. but ive been running out - do you happen to have any recipes? nonalcoholic would be preferable, and names are just fine too unless it’s not a wide spread concoction. thank you!!!
How about instead of a recipe, I give you some less-used ingredients and you can DIY some combinations?
Red Bell Pepper Juice! You can sometimes buy it at specialty stores, or you can blend/crush/mash some red bell peppers and strain the juice out yourself. I really like it combined with simple syrup and lime juice for a rich mocktail.
You can also use other vegetable juices in fun little drinks. Carrot juice can be surprisingly sweet. Sugar Beets are named that for a reason. There's a lot of folks down here in the south who just drink sweetcorn juice.
You can get a deeper, smokier flavor by braising your veggies until they char a little, before juicing them.
Seedlip Spice 94, for an herbal, conifer-like flavor. I love this paired with lavender syrup, in any clear soda. It tastes like summer!
Coconut Cream (not coconut water! It's different!) Can be used as a base instead of ice cream, with frozen mango for an ultra-creamy, richly flavored frozen drink. The ratios here will be different, so use your own judgement.
Consider going to a foreign food market, and buying like... random canned fruit you've never heard of. Using lychee syrup is delicious. You can also look around for fruits and drinks you've never tried. There's a whole world out there of packaged drink powders!
Gochujang sweetened with honey and lime, cut with ginger beer is... an experience. Get the ratios right, and it's addictive.
Think about muddling herbs/fruits into your clear soda, which aren't just 'mint and cucumber' - Basil and lime. Dill and apple. Blackberry and Anise.
Had muddled basil and simple syrup in some iced coffee recently. It was intriguing. Good? Not sure, but it compelled me.
Be adventurous and you'll never run out of new flavor combinations to try~

Hob is a chef who owns a food truck selling authentic Indian food, and Dream is someone who doesn't really eat well. (He had a bad breakup a year ago and it caused him to eat less. He's trying to eat better with his siblings' help.)
Dream agrees to go with Death to one of those food truck fairs for her birthday. There's not a lot of people yet so some of the staff offer them free samples to entice them into eating more from their food truck.
Death is having the time of her life, and she thanks Dream for going with her even if this isn't his thing at all.
Dream says that he enjoys the atmosphere (a.k.a. no huge crowds yet) and appreciates the aesthetic of the food they have already eaten: the understated elegance of the mango bingsoo, the dancing bonito flakes on top of the takoyaki, and the satisfying cheese pulls from the megruli khachapuri.
Death, encouraged by his interest, asks him to pick another food that he likes the aesthetic of so they could try it next. Like before, it's understood that they'll share a serving so Dream doesn't have to worry if he can't eat a lot.
Dream agrees. He picks an appetizing-looking plate of butter chicken from a foodtruck selling Indian food near the edge of the fair grounds, where not a lot of people have ventured yet.
They are greeted enthusiastically by a very handsome man and Death does all the talking because Dream is distracted by his forearms and smile and manbun. (He's salivating, so he must be hungry. Right?)
The handsome man turns out to be both the chef and the owner, and he chats with Death while he prepares the food. His name is Hob. He quit his job at a fancy hotel because he wants to feel more connected with his customers and share the food that he loves cooking for his family. (Dream is falling for him the more he talks. He doesn't realize that he has yet to speak and has only been staring.) (Hob is highly intimidated by him but also thinks he's cute.)
The food is served. Death takes her first bite and says something like 'holy shit dude wow this is great' and Hob is just about to thank her when Dream takes his first bite and lets out the most sinful moan Hob has ever heard this side of his laptop screen.
He is (understandably) frozen in place, staring at this beautiful man devour his food while sounding like a porn star. He may or may not be violating food safety standards by getting hard in his jeans in the truck's kitchen area.
Death is astonished because Dream has never shown this much enthusiasm while eating before. Even when they were kids. She is now looking at Hob speculatively. Should she google 'how to politely ask a stranger to (please) marry your brother'?
Dream...honestly doesn't even notice anything other than how delicious the food tastes. When the plate is clean, and Death has only gotten to take that single bite at the start, he reddens and apologizes, but Death waves it off, and Hob says something like, "I have some dessert too, if you want."
Dream unconsciously licks his lips and says, "Please," in a voice that could either mean 'Yes, please, I want some dessert,' or 'Fuck me raw right now.'
Death, immediately picking up on the sexual tension, says, "We'd like some kulfi, but I'll take mine to go."
And Dream is like, "Sister, what--?"
"I just remembered Desire and I have an appointment to get our nails done so I have to go--oh, thanks, Mr. Gadling--bye Dream, love you, be safe!" And then she's gone.
Dream is left with Hob who is still holding the other kulfi in his hand, looking slightly stunned at Death's very abrupt exit. The kulfi is starting to melt. Dream, unthinkingly, leans forward and sucks the tip.
They both freeze and their eyes meet, Dream's pink mouth still on the kulfi. Hob gulps at the visual. Dream, still maintaining eye contact, licks it from base to tip, then starts sucking in earnest, eyes steadily darkening when he sees Hob's breathing becoming unsteady.
Hob hears some footsteps coming their way, potential customers from the sound of it. Hob hands Dream his kulfi and apologizes to the customers, saying that something came up and he has to close. Like, right now. Sorry for the inconvenience but this is really important.
He closes up in record time while Dream taunts him by enjoying his dessert. He's already sitting on the passenger seat of the truck when Hob climbs into the driver's seat.
Desire's text the next day reads: 'DREAM YOU SLUT IM SO PROUD OF YOU'
Destruction for some reason knows Hob's number and has texted: 'Break my brother's heart and I'll break your spine.'
Dream slowly but surely begins to eat better. How can he not, with all the support he has, and Hob there to love him even on his bad days?
Hob gets everyone's approval, even Destruction's, eventually. He's the best cook and most considerate brother-in-law ever.
When Dream passes by his ex while walking down the street one day, he realizes that he's alright now, and is definitely better off without them. He's actually thankful, because if not for them, then he might not have even met Hob. He doesn't greet them because he still hasn't forgiven them, but he also doesn't feel like bursting into tears anymore.
At the end of the day, when he gets back home, Hob is there to welcome him with a sweet kiss, a warm meal, and a lifetime full of love.

Nothing left
Raiting: 18+
Warnings: smut, jealousy, errors.
A/N: As we said here, leave your hands at home.
Tumblr media
She loved their room. Maybe she would take a picture to put on her phone, frame and look at in moments of despair, because she didn't want to get out of there.
With a deep breath, she took off her heels abandoning them under a chair, while already she slipped off her earrings and the whole package. Behind her, it took Roman longer just to close the door, but Y/N had already taken over the bathroom to fix her hair and change. It had been one of the busiest mornings of her life and it was absurd considering that for years she had followed the pace of two rosters during the PLEs and the weekly routine. She hadn't had to run around endless hallways that day, the headphones hadn't stuck to her ears, there hadn't been any change of plans, no one to call in hurry, staff and technicians had been helpful, even offering Y/N her favorite frozen mango lemonade smoothie. They were so nice, but she liked the hotel room better. She needed a break.
- Have you changed your mind? Is it not a good opportunity? - she heard Roman ask from the room, finishing unbuttoning her dress to replace it with something more cozy.
They were not talking about a four am program, he watched it too when at home.
- It's a great opportunity Ro, for the company and above all for you - she obviously noticed, receiving a strange look, when she came out of the bathroom - it will give you visibility, it will increase your stats, it will help establish you on a wider audience and that’s the long-term goal for the future, even if you will boycott it with your list.
Standing next to the table, Roman cracked a smile taking the blow as she lay back on the bed, laptop already open on her legs, in what in a few minutes had become her personal sprint to shut the rest of the world out for at least a couple of hours.
- Is that why you are not happy to go to the studio? For my list?
Oh no, she was happy about that. Everyone out there seemed unable to get him to talk about anything other than his titles. At least they had found a compromise to please the company while still supporting him as more than the face of WWE.
- You can make all the lists and smiles you want, to whoever you want, don't worry. Do your things - she reassured him, opening the report to be sent to the executives for the following day's appointment.
Biting the corner of her lip, fingers racing across the keyboard, she finished in record time with a couple of randomly thrown standard phrases too, but she couldn't concentrate quite as well on emails, Roman staring thoughtfully at her without moving from one inch.
- What's up? - she asked, however, avoiding taking her eyes off the screen.
- You're not jealous – he threw out of blue and Y/N took a break to look at him this time.
Of course she wasn't. She wasn't that kind of woman. She didn't make a scene, she didn't get angry, she had learned to distinguish who deserved her attention and her precious time, she had survived a year of nothing with her head high and had been repaid with a perfect relationship, she knew what value she had for him and what value she had herself. She didn't low down to those levels, they even joked, she had compiled a list of the most obscene and hilarious comments about him found on the web.
- What should I be jealous of? - she asked.
Because she was really curious to know what made him suspect that her desire to go back to the hotel, get the boring work done quickly to have some time to relax and maybe be ready for a night out in a city that offered a million opportunities to celebrate those small successes, without having to worry about shots, uncomfortable or trivial questions, suits and skintight dresses, people who treated her as if they had been homies and greeted him with hugs that not even their coworkers dared, was for jealousy.
His phone, lying on the table next to the welcome note, rang when Roman had just shook his head and Y/N knew that it would be the end if her eyes hadn't locked there for a second too long. And she also knew that he had noticed it, but they would have not talk about that nonsense. Because it was stupid, meaningless and she wasn't jealous.
She went back to work on her laptop, ignoring him as he reached out to pick it up and Y/N opened the email, ending up ignoring even the latest updated communications from the program for the following day and scrolling through it. Roman glanced at her again, quickly, but Y/N forced herself to stay focused until he left the phone to go to the bathroom too. She took a deep breath as soon as she was sure he was out of range and she mentally forced herself to regain control.
It had only been a moment, perhaps because of this new set-up, all those changes, she really had nothing to stop and think about. Even if that hug had been a bit too much and… no, she had to stop thinking about it!
When Roman came out with his inseparable tracksuit to lie down next to her, Y/N was still with her laptop, gaze focused on some shots sent as pre-show tests.
- I would never do it, you know – he reminded her after a few seconds of silence, making her stomach do a flip.
Yes, she knew it… she trusted Roman more than anyone and she never doubted him for a second. She hadn't even doubted that morning actually, she was just… annoyed, but not for him. The truth was that Y/N had only wanted to go back to the hotel because it was simpler and because she didn't feel right fighting with a woman like her, although perhaps she could have since it were her hands that had been on him longer than necessary. But practically nothing had happened and Roman had went back to Paul's side as soon as possible.
- I know, I'm not the jealous one here – she reminded to both him and herself, while he was playing with his watch.
She had also had a moment, yes, but him… oh, he was a league on his own! Y/N had stopped counting before they even decided to put a name to their relationship, the times it happened. It was pathological.
- I value what belongs to me. I don't take you for granted - he returted seriously, no doubt in his voice and Y/N found herself staring at the screen, her stomach freezing this time.
Roman was a man, not a boy. He knew how to take care, respect and support her, he treated her as the only thing that really mattered and what would have been a flaw on anyone else, on him looked terribly sexy. And she always fell for it, without exception. Especially after spending the morning, trying to fight off the mood at having seen too many hands on her man.
- You're unbearable when you do that – she snorted, closing the laptop to leave it on the bedside table and climb on Roman without hesitation.
With a smug grin, Roman helped her into position, eyes searching for her, as she reserved the same fate as her laptop for his watch, fighting then with the zipper of his hoodie.
- Don't you want to know what time is our reservation? – he chuckled hoarsely, hinting at the message received minutes before and helping her anyway when she quickly stripped him of his shirt as well, her hands sliding down his chest to stop on his shoulders.
- I already know, I chose it - she murmured against his mouth, biting his grin.
Jealousy was for those who lacked confidence, not for them. She wasn't jealous. In that relationship, born out of nowhere and raised between dates at unthinkable times, meetings in lockerooms and buses, calls and messages from everywhere, mental and physical breakdowns, nights spent sleeping and mornings of sex followed by doubts, she shared more than the path with Roman. She had discovered that she was as possessive as he was, because she valued, them. What they were building together was everything to her and she wasn't willing to lose it or let someone ruin it.
She felt Roman hold her, hands sliding up her hips, keeping her pressed against him, as they deepened their sloppy kiss and Y/N ran her fingers over his chest. The rapid beat of his heart slammed under her fingertips, warmth surrounding and encouraging her to move, grinding against his pants which she had merely undone. He was solid beneath her, ready to let her control even though his tongue had already won their fight. Knowing that he belonged to her, to have power over him, to be the only one to have his attention and to be able to have him like no one else out there thought was an injection of confidence that excited and pushed her to reclaim what belonged to her and her only.
His big hands had worked their way through her soft clothes, stroking her hips, touching her skin, ass, eyes glued to hers as she slowly traced every inch of his torso after pulling away from the kiss. With the taste of him still in her mouth, she reached down to kiss one pec and then the other, working her way up to his neck, his beard pinching her cheeks as she licked the jugular then bit his ear, feeling him pull her up to place her on his boner now awake. She rocked on top of him, feeling him hard against her center, his hands moving up under her shirt lifting her breasts and hers going down instead, moving his pants down. Slowly biting the skin of his neck, Y/N took it in her hand, squeezing his meat just enough to feel Roman stiffen, his breath catching in his throat, her tongue stopping under his ear, merely tasting his skin, sensing the blood pressure without marking him.
- I don't need to do it… - she whispered, nail scratching his already wet tip -...not this time either... -she added, rubbing up and down until she drew a hot breath from him - ... right? - she asked, placing an innocent kiss on his full lips before leaning down and taking something else into her mouth.
A low, rough growl filled the room as she ran her tongue over his vein, feeling the flesh throb, the taste of it overpowering as she slid it against her palate until it touched her throat, in that one smooth motion she'd been busy to learn. She liked the feel of it pulsing against her tongue, his hand gripping her hair and indulging in the slow movement of her head, before curling into a needy caress as he struggled to fight the instinctive thrusts. Y/N loved seeing him close his eyes, his breathing getting heavy every time her lips licked the tip, sucking out all the air in his lungs to make him pulse.
-Ain't going anywhere babygirl – Roman panted, licking his lips, biting the lower one when she slid her fingers over the sensitive skin to scratch and free him – do what you want-
She let it slam against his bare stomach, a trail of spit and precum dripping onto his skin, those dark curls driving her crazy. Getting up on her knees, Y/N locked her eyes on him and threw away the extra clothes, remaining only with the shirt that soon ended up covering him too, when she slipped it into her soft hot folds. Her body greeted him with an almost sigh of relief which he returned low and dangerous, their bodies warming and melting like every time they did it.
She had fucked every kind of man in her life. But with Roman it wasn't even sex, with him it had always been more than that. Everything in him seemed made to slip inside her and mix, it was a loss of consciousness, something shared back, something unique that made her feel at peace, in her place. Her place was with him and his with her.
Nails digging into his torso, she slowly, unhurriedly rocked her hips, his now-rigid erection spreading her deeply, never letting go as her butt lifted.
- Mmh… keep it slow, like that… yes, thats it – he approved hoarsely and Y/N reversed the movement, guiding him inside her in that weak gasp which was setting both of them on fire.
Her caramel skin itched, thighs taut and soon her shirt became a torture, one Roman took care to make worse by sliding his hands down her side, catching a dark nipple between his fingers to turn it over and make her moan with a cry. Y/N ducked a little, her center filled with his flesh, as she flattened against him resting where someone else's hands had been that morning. Her mind clouded by the arousal brought back the memory, clear and her hips instinctively moved, without increasing the pace, only deepening the thrusts until Roman slammed against her sweet spongy spot.
They could make jokes, imagine, try even, but no one would have what she had. No one would feel him tightening his grip on her hips, throb from the grips of her body, know what it was like to burn, as the sweat trickled down her back, between her shoulder blades and up to the curve of her round ass from his thrusts or the kisses he left on her skin. No one would see the bleary, hungry gaze he gave her as her eyes lowered to seek him, the heat building more and more at the bottom of her belly.
- You're so good for me… so good inside me… ahn!
- Take it… le-mme hear those pretty sounds yes
His hand slid under her shirt again, this time without searching for her breast, his thumb digging into her wet folds, where their bodies joined to rotate slowly around the button of nerves she had rubbed against him until that moment. The contact sent a sharp shiver on her body, and Y/N dropped her head back, moans becoming almost cries as her back arched, giving Roman more room. Everything in her was burning, relentlessly, slowly, consuming her down to her toes, making her melt on him in a mess of moods and sweat. With an effort from his abs, Roman sat up, a big strong arm sliding behind her, pulling her close to him, his finger moving slowly and forcefully between her folds. The desire to kiss him made her almost cling to his neck, getting up again a little on her knees, helping him in that last run that had filled the whole room with their smell and the sound of their bodies clashing. One thrust, another, like a carousel she never wanted to get off, until the heat became too much and Y/N felt it explode suddenly, making her squeeze around Roman's stiff shaft, letting his name rush desperately from her lips to be swallowed up by the kisses he never spared.
There was nothing left in her mind, except that feeling of peace and satisfaction that only being with him could give her, that drained and recharged her as soon as his arms tightened around her, when her body welcomed his limitless lunges and his seed, which filled her like a mark that no one else had granted and that no one else but her deserved.
She rested her cheek in his hair, his face buried in the crook of her neck in an embrace that was everything to her. New York and its frantic pace couldn't take that away from her. Nobody could do it.

Eijiro and Katsuki could not be more bored. They both look over the ballroom from their thrones, seeing if anyone eligible was down there. They invited everyone in the kingdom, waiting to find someone to complete them. However whoever they were expecting was definitely not there. At least not yet.
Katsuki throws his head back frustrated, Eijiro looks over the crowd again. They’ve almost given up at this point. That was before the sound of the ballroom doors open, turning both of their heads towards the of the sound. You freeze up for a moment at all the sudden attention on you, however you guess that’s what happens when you’re late.
You look down, nervous because of how many eyes are on you. Eijiro and Katsuki both look over, they can’t help but stare. You’re absolutely gorgeous. How had they never seen you in the kingdom before? How had they never seen you at previous balls? Katsuki catches a reflection which seems to be from your shoes. You walk down the grand staircase, in amazement at the size of the castle
Eijiro stands up from his throne, walking down onto the ballroom floor. The people stop their conversation at the sight of the prince on the dance floor, they part a path for him. They anxiously wait to see who he’s approaching, they whisper as he walks past. Eijiro stops in front of you, smiling a bit as you don’t even realize he’s in front of you. You’re too busy looking around the castle, starry eyed.
You almost jump, turning around to see Eijiro right in front of you. “May I have this dance?” He asks, holding out his gloved hand to you. You stand frozen for a moment. “I- um- yes” you nod slightly, taking his hand in yours. Eijiro leads you to the middle of the dance floor, the music slowly beginning to swell back up again. You swallow as he begins to sway you, looking down at your dress and shoes, trying to keep yourself stable.
Eijiro chuckles a bit at how you trip over your feet a bit, trying to play it off. “I-I’m sorry, I haven’t really danced before” you mumble, laughing a little bit as you’re embarrassed. “Really? Someone as beautiful as you has never danced with anyone before?” He asks, twirling you around. You look away flustered at his words. The crowd mumbles even more when Katsuki gets up from his throne, walking down to the floor.
Katsuki was known for not giving anyone attention he didn’t deem worthy of it. Eijiro looks up, twirling you around to pass you over to Katsuki. You squeal a bit, landing directly into the blonde princes arms. He begins continuing the dance with you. Eijiro now’s stands on the side lines and watches.
“How come we’ve never seen you before?” Katsuki asks, his voice rough but his words are sincere. You stumble over your feet again, Katsuki easily catches you by the waist. “I don’t exactly get out much” You say soft, Katsuki grunting a bit at your words. He looks up at Eijiro who simply watches you spin, the way your face reflects the candle light.
Katsuki spins you around, you ending up back in Eijiros arms. It’s a while of this, them dancing with you asking random questions. They want you to be theirs. They can see it on the crowds faces, multiple men want to ask you to dance but they don’t, fearing the princes. They want you to themselves.
You completely lost track of time, the chiming of the clock immediately sending your gaze to the clock. You gasp a bit, bunching up your dress so you can make a quick escape. “I’m so sorry” you say softly, both princes confused and starting to follow you. “I’m s-so sorry, I have to leave” you say apologetically, quickly running up the stairs and out the door to the ballroom.
Katsuki and Eijiro chase after you, although they aren’t able to catch up to you. You run out the castle, down the stairs leading to the castle. “Ah!” You exclaim, almost tripping down the stairs but managing to catch yourself. Although you’re able to catch yourself you leave one of your shoes behind. A glass slipper, slightly heeled.
You hop into your carriage, waving out the window as you leave. “Thank you so much, that was the best night of my life!” you apologetically wave at Eijiro and Katsuki, feeling bad for leaving them like this. All you left behind for them was your glass slipper.
They have to find you.
♡ ♡ ♡
Eijiro and Katsuki approach the last home. They searched the entire kingdom for you and they yet to find you. However they weren’t going to give up, if they didn’t find you here, they wouldn’t stop searching for you. They would search the whole world to find the beautiful stranger who appeared at the ball.
The ride up to the home on their horses. It was the final home. A small cottage on the outskirts of the kingdom, vines growing up the side of the home and a well kept garden in the front. Katsuki is the first one to hop off his horse, the guards following him as he approaches the door.
An older woman eagerly opens the door, having heard from others that the princes were searching for the mysterious person who caught their attention. She was hoping her two daughters would catch the attention of the princes. The two daughters would be your step sisters, your step mother had instructed you to stay up in the attic when they both came here.
You look out the window from the attic, looking over the guards on their white horses. Eijro gets off his horse, looking up at the window that you look out of. You quickly duck to avoid his gaze, scared of what your stepmother would do if she knew you had accidentally made eye contact with the prince. Eijiro luckily was able to catch that glimpse of you, not being able to see your face but knowing someone was in the attic.
“Girls!” Your stepmother calls out, your stepsisters quickly entering the room and bowing. Eijiro enters, standing next to Katsuki. They both immediately recognize the women in front of them. They particularly remember them because of how extravagant and gaudy their dresses were. They remember how both of your stepsisters tried desperately to catch their attention.
Katsuki looks your stepsisters up and down. He stays silent, walking through the cottage to see if there was anyone else. If you’re not here then they’ll have to go try to find you in another kingdom. Eijiro walks away from your stepsisters, ignoring the offended looks on their faces.
Eijiro looks up the wooden staircase. “Is there anyone else living here?” Katsuki asks, seeing the cleaning supplies left on the floor. The cleaning supplies covered in dirt and soot despite the fact that your stepmother and your stepsisters were perfectly clean. “No, it’s just us” Your stepsister calls out, Eijiro beginning to climb the stairs.
“Your majesty, I wouldn’t go up there!” Your stepmother calls out, trying to chase after him to stop him. Katsuki snaps his fingers causing the guards to quickly grab her to let him go up the stairs. Katsuki follows Eijiro up the stairs, they eventually come to a rickety wooden door.
You quickly try to fix your hair as if despite the fact you know you look like a servant. You weren’t glamorous like you were at the ball, you were a servant for your step family. Doing everything for them that they demanded, being denied food and the attic if you didn’t do your chores. The door opens, you being face to face with the princes once again.
You bow out of respect, looking at the floor once you come back up. Eijiro and Katsuki can only stare, you’re still absolutely stunning. You could leave so many starstruck by simply looking at them. They just can’t believe you’re clearly living in such horrible conditions. That your family treats you this way. Your clothes are tattered and dirty, your hair is matted, the attic is clearly your room despite now beat up it is.
While they’re relived to see you, they’re fuming at how your family is clearly treating you. You didn’t deserve that, they’ll treat you amazingly. They need to show you how you should be treated. Katsuki brings out the glass slipper, holding it out to you.
“I believe that belongs to you” Eijiro smiles.

now the sun burns my heart and the sand hurts my feelings
zutara | outsider pov (aang) | post-southern raiders | one shot |
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Aang didn't know when it all changed. Which, frankly, wasn't entirely his fault. As the Avatar, his attention was and should be centered towards mastering his bending and, consequently, defeating the Fire Lord. The latter with quiet dismay, but nonetheless: he didn't have time for distractions… even when he loved them so.
But he hadn't seen Katara and Zuko coming. Not one bit.
He intrinsically knew Katara hated him up until their mission to avenge her mother — something he still felt sick to his stomach thinking about — and saw her forgiving him on the docks. It all happened right under his nose! And yet!
One moment he performed hot squats and built elaborate sand castles with Toph, the next he turned around the corner of the Fire Lord's Beach house and found the two sitting cross-legged opposite of another. Zuko held a plant between his fingers as he spoke. Katara inspected it critically, her eyes flicking between the herb and the boy with tender patience.
It knocked Aang off balance.
On the one hand, his altruistic side, he was happy the two benders finally got along. They were a team — Team Avatar, as Sokka would proclaim — and they needed to be a strong unit if they wanted to have a chance at ending the war. Aang knew that.
But on the other hand… since when did Katara voluntarily spend time with Zuko. Wouldn't she want to spend time with him? Aang deserved some of her allotted time, right?
Tentatively stepping closer, the two looked up from their conversation and Katara smiled first. “Zukoʼs been teaching me about herbs native to the Fire Nation.” She plucked the herb from Zukoʼs fingers. “This is saffron, you should smell it!”
“I'm good,” Aang weakly countered. “Uh… I'm gonna find Sokka. D'you know where he is?”
“The city,” Zuko responded. He looked totally unbothered by it all, a stark contrast to Aang's current frenzied spirit. “He and Suki are trying to find the perfect mango, or something.”
“Suki and him,” Katara corrected. A gleam in her eye pushed her to rib— “What, don't tell me the education system of the Fire Nation is lacking as well?”
A tick of a smile appeared on his lips. “Yeah, maybe. Too busy with shoving propaganda down our throats, I think.”
Katara laughed. Aang frowned. Zuko was many things, but a comedian wasn't one of them; it wasn't even a joke to begin with. Pushing the bitterness down his throat as though sucking on a frozen frog, he left the two behind and jogged down to the beach to sit with Toph. He'd wait for Sokka there.
The next instances took a few subtle cues for him to catch it. During dinner, they sat next to each other. While he sparred with Toph beneath the burning afternoon sun, they sought solace under the cool awning washing dishes or scrubbing clothes clean. Whenever Zuko dared anyone to a game of Pai Cho, Katara offered herself almost immediately despite her terrible track record. When an argument angered Katara to the point of storming away, Sokka's eyes organically slid to Zuko, waiting for him to make a move.
He'd never done that to Aang, that look, and it made him feel so incredibly, awfully juvenile.
What skills did Zuko possess that Aang didn't? He knew Katara way longer than he did, understood her better, and had seen her in more situations than he could count. Zuko just got here. Though Aang was fond of him, it left an ire sting travelling up and down his spine. Spirits! What was going on?!
Then the play threw all his worst fears on stage: Zuko and Katara, personified by the Ember Island Players, holding hands and proclaiming their love and totally disregarding the fact that Aang and Katara had history and chemistry and that he loved her! Their mocking of the term "Avatar's girl" made his stomach churn, so much so that he didn't notice the real (and mortified) Zuko and Katara shifting inches away from each other.
Had he seen, maybe he wouldn't have tried to kiss her during intermission. Maybe he wouldn't have felt the desperate need to prove himself to the girl; that he was right here and actively loving her and why was she so confused about it?
Had he seen, maybe he wouldn't have pushed the two towards each other later that even. While he sulked in the corner of the living room, sprawled across a recliner as he listened to Toph gloat about her character, Zuko and Katara had slipped away. Unbeknownst to him, though his heart quickened and clenched (something akin heartache) when he did realise.
Jumping upright, he ignored Toph's shout that he should sit and listen, and turned into the dark corridor that held their bedrooms.
Knocking on Katara's, no sound came. His head popped around the corner of the sliding door and saw the room was empty. Her bed tidy, her clothes folded on a chair, no litter on the floor — a complete 180 to Aang's room.
Oh, no. His eyes widened in horror. Behind his eyelids, the vision of the Players struck closer to reality than he thought. Taking a steadying breath, he trailed to the end of the hallway and, against better judgment, pressed his ear to the door.
And there it was: the soft chime of Zuko's laugh, the murmur of Katara's voice.
His hand raised to knock, but before he could or flee, it smoothly slid open.
Katara looked down at him, worried. “Everything okay, Aang? I felt you standing there.”
A seed of hope bloomed in his chest. “You felt me?”
A wry smile ticked up her lips as a finger curled around a dark lock of hair. “Yeah, it's the full moon, so it's kind of hard to miss. So?”
“Y-yeah, I'm okay. I was just, uh, looking for you. To, uh…”
What was he doing here? Just a couple hours ago, Katara had rejected him and this didn't help! Zuko had the decency to look bashful, however, the boy seated on the rug with a cup of tea unable to quite look him in the eye. At least the firebender seemed aware that Katara, despite the debauchery of the Ember Island Players, was his girl, not Zuko's.
But if he was aware, that didn't explain why they sat in private. What could they possibly talk about that the group wouldn't understand?
Aside from the tea, a handful of books covered the floor. A lit candle stood on his night stand. Too romantic for his taste.
And so he blurted— “Why're you in Zuko's room?”
Her expression soured. “To talk. Do you have a problem with that?”
The boys finally locked eyes. Golden irises blinked at him, earnest and merciful, though Aang knew he had no ground right now. If he went insane over them drinking tea, then she wouldn't speak to him until the Comet.
“No,” he puffed. “No. It— when can I talk to you?”
“Tomorrow,” she replied, curt.
“Okay.”
“Goodnight, Aang.”
He nodded. “Goodnight Katara. Goodnight Zuko.”
As the door of opportunities slimmed, the last split second showed the resurgence of Zuko's smile, a kind he hadn't seen before, and only reserved for Katara. His Katara.
A part of him died on that threshold that night. It smelled like naivité and tasted bitter.
The next day, he apologised to Katara for kissing her and she accepted, though kept her distance.
The group didn't feel off because of it. Everything ran smoothly, as usual; Toph erupted cities out of sand and roughhoused Sokka in the mud, Suki practiced hand to hand combat in the atrium and scoured the regal bedrooms for fashion, Katara did her duties and lounged around the ocean, as did Zuko, though he preferred the courtyard for his bending. Aang was the only one feeling unmoored. At least he had Momo to commiserate with.
Despite the Comet's looming arrival, the days were long and the teenagers needed time off as well. One couldn't train from sunrise to sundown. He learned that the hard way.
Rare moments like these reminded them of their youth, so really, it wasn't weird that Katara tapped Zuko with a water whip as she cackled out her magical laugh, but it did surprise Aang. He thought that when he apologised, she'd act playful towards him again, but… she didn't.
Sokka and Toph gawked in surprise at the action, but what took the cake was Zukoʼs smile as he launched himself from the courtyard onto the beach — feet thudding hard into the sand — and began sparring with Katara on the shore.
Scratch that: he couldn't call it sparring. It was playfighting. It was what Sokka and Suki often did.
Zuko liked Katara. The realisation thundered as an earthquake through his lithe body. It was so obvious now! Why else did the firebender behave so differently towards her? But how in the monkey feathers could Katara like him back? Zuko redeemed himself, sure, and he was now part of the group, but…
Aang faltered. He couldn't come up with a reason. Zuko was a child of war just as much as they all were. Maybe even more than Aang. He technically stood at 112, as opposed to Katara's fifteen and Zuko's seventeen. That made him pause.
Was that it? Did he lack a sense of humanity that Zuko possessed? Although, the Avatar defined humanity and led by example, so shouldn't he be the perfect person?
Maybe it was a phase, Aang supposed. Just like her lapse into anger when she travelled to the Southern Raiders, this too would pass and she'd see Aang belonged with her.
But what could he do about Zuko? From experience, Aang knew it was tough to not like Katara.
Oh! But if that angry knife-throwing girl got out of prison, then Zuko would turn to her again! Genius! Another incentive to win this war.
“How cute!” Suki cooed. He hadn't noticed her coming.
Aang scowled, “They're fighting.”
“They're having fun,” Suki countered, waving at a buried-in-the-sand Sokka. Toph smacked his cheek. Then Suki smiled down at him. “You should do something relaxing, too, Aang. Savour it while you can!”
The nail in the coffin happened three weeks later when the doom of Sozin's Comet lurked around the corner. In less than five days, the Fire Lord and him had to fight to the death; a death he didn't wish upon anyone. His group was furious with him for his stance, but Aang refused to budge his entire belief system for the definite solution of killing someone.
Katara had fallen quiet then. Hope bleeding out her eyes and left to seep into the soil, no longer in her heart and chi. He knew he hurt her with this. And still. There had to be another way to defeat the Fire Lord.
Right before he went to sleep, restless and keyed up, he stopped by Katara's door. Soundless, he slid it open just a crack, only to feel his stomach gutted out his body.
Zuko and Katara: hugging.
Not the quick embrace she'd previously given him, a real hug. One where Zuko's arm wrapped around her with no space left, one where Katara clung to him as though spirit water laced his veins. Her head tucked beneath his chin, their eyes closed yet content, his hand rubbing smooth circles on her lower back.
"Monkey feathers," he exhaled.
The two didn't jump apart like he expected, nor did Zuko flush red or dodge any repercussions by fleeing out the room. Their eyes cracked open and they stayed.
“Have you changed your mind about killing my father?” Zuko rasped.
Aang shook his head, blood pounding in his ears making it difficult to hear or breathe or think. Katara liked him too… more than she liked me.
“Katara?” he whispered.
Her eyes welled with unshed, shimmering tears. Remorse thickened her voice. “I'm sorry, Aang. I can't support you on this one. I just can't.”
Before he could save any semblance of a relationship, she burrowed herself back into Zuko's tight embrace. It looked unnatural, inhumane, it should be him.
And then he vanished.

Ice Cream
Bosch w. x gn! reader
a new ice cream shop opened in metro city. so you and bosch decided to check it out.
Tumblr media
“Hey, isn't that the new Ice cream parlor that opened up last week?” Your eyes lit up as you spotted the neon sign announcing the grand opening of Julie's Ice Cream. “Let’s check it out!”
Bosch chuckled as you dragged him closer to the front door. "Alright, alright. Lead the way."
The sweet aroma of freshly made cones hit your senses as you walked in. Your eyes widen in surprise at the colorful array of flavors that behind the glass display "Oh wow. They had more than I was expecting."
"I've never even heard of some of these flavors before.” you said. Green-Tea Oreo. Black Coconut Ash. Caramel Bacon Swirl. And even Pistachio Pesto. What does that even taste like? You were practically bouncing in excitement.
"What about you? Anything catching your eye?” you asked, taking your eyes off the display. There were a couple of people in front of you, so you had time to look over your options.
Bosch glanced down at the tubs that were filled to the brim with ice cream. “I actually never had ice cream before.” he said sheepishly scratching the back of his head.
“No?”
“No.” Bosch laughed nervously with a hint of embarrassment. “We did have something similar back in Nayshall, called Kulfi." he added, hoping to redeem himself.
You curiously turned to him. "Kulfi? What's that?" you asked.
“It's a frozen dessert from back home," Bosch explained. "It's similar to ice cream, but it has a creamier texture."
"Well, today's your lucky day then!" you declared. “Maybe we could ask for samples to taste to see which one you like.”
“Hey. Let’s not get overboard. I don’t think I’m willing to try the Bacon Swirl.” he scolded, pointing at the perpetrator through the glass.
The worker who helped you both had to scoop samples from almost every single tin before he landed on mango and you with chocolate. Happily taking your dessert after paying, you motioned to sit near the window since it was nice and warm today.
Bosch plopped across from you and placed a handful of napkins on the table before he dug into his sweet treat.
“I don't think I ever had Kulfi. What’s it like?" you asked, taking one of the napkins and wiping your mouth.
With a wistful smile, He allowed the sweetness of the mango ice cream to settle on his tongue, before responding."It's similar to ice cream, but it has a richer texture with different flavors.”  His gaze drifted into the past.
"There was this stand back in Nayshall," Bosch began, voice laced with nostalgia. "Where the owner made the best Kulfi in town. And on hot days, me and Yu-...” He paused. “...Me and a couple of people would sit in the front until the owner arrived. You’d be lucky to be able to get one."
You can hear the hesitation in Bosch's voice as he trailed off, he’s clearly holding back, but you didn't want to pry too much. Instead, You smiled gently, placing a comforting hand on his arm.
"Well, it sounds like a wonderful memory. I hope I can try it one day." you said meeting his gaze.
"Yeah, it was," he replied returning your smile. His eyes lingered on you. "But I do have to admit, this ice cream does taste pretty good too."
You laughed nudging him playfully. "Well, I'm glad I’m able to introduce you to all the wonderful flavors of ice cream. Maybe next time you can treat me to Kulfi on our next date.” You took another spoonful of Chocolate ice cream as Bosch laughed, nudging you back.

I've had rats for years at this point now and finally want to put down the best tips I've learned. This won't work for everyone, some are very conditional to me, but maybe some of these will help someone. Fleece hammocks: Boo. Microplastics and too warming. Canvas hammocks: Yes, please. Highly washable. Far more tough. I wish they were easier to find. Coiled rope baskets are also a godsend. I hang them by the handles in the cage, they love them way more than anything marketed to rats. Bottles are nice but some rats wanna splash and have a place to wash their little hands. Fresh in pod peas are by the pound at my supermarket. I usually spend 70 cents on the amount for several treat sessions. All my frozen peas end up getting freezer burnt by the time I get halfway through the bag. Antibiotics will be needed if you keep rats. Do not give antibiotics with dairy, many classes of antibiotics bond to calcium thereby making them far less effective. Speaking of, antibiotics seem to have the hardest taste to cover up. Ground meat baby food, Hershey simply five syrup (Just a little), peanut powder (No added sugar, oils), fruit compote/jam/jelly, small absorbent bread snacks/cereal, smushed pasta, cream of wheat, are all options to get meds into rats. You can call exotic vets and ask for an estimate on a basic rat exam. Do it, the prices vary WILDLY. We had a vet who charged us 35$ to see three rats at once and one who quoted us 200$ to look at one. You're gonna notice a trend if you call vets in higher class/rich areas. Fuck em'. Also ask your vet if you can keep a supply of meds on hand just in case. If they last at room temp you can buy some preemptively. Things like doxycycline you can get from human pharmacies.
Zip ties are god. All hail zip ties. Same with swivel clasps. Between them both you can cage mount anything your heart desires.
Leave bedding in a hot car or freezing conditions for a night. Warehouses get mites. Mites are a dick to deal with. Kill em' all.
Give them a variety of fresh things while they're young. Not always but sometimes I'd get an older gent rescue who had no idea what to do with berries or tomatoes and would refuse them. They learn better what is safe when young. At some point you will have an emergency. Make sure you know where an emergency vet is and that they keep night/weekend hours. Keep funds on hand for that day.
Rats hide pain well. When they age you may need to start pain management if you notice them moving differently even if they don't show their pain blatantly. Just start with low doses and see if they act like their old selves again. Research your breeders. Get recommendations from other rat people. Check and see if there are rat rescues in your area. Also the Humane Society sometimes takes in rodents.
Controversial take: You will encounter people in ratkeeping who say buying feeders is a sin. It's not. Feeder supply will exist whether or not every rat fancier boycotts them. We are far far fewer in number than snake/lizard people. Wherever you got your rats it's valid so long as you give them healthcare, good nutritious food, love, and mental stimulation. A lot of the 'foods to avoid, foods to include' lists are not researched. I've seen lists that ban chocolate. Rats freaking love chocolate they just need to take it easy on fats and sugars but cocoa powder can be a good mix in and can help ratty blood flow. I've seen people ban mango. if you read the study that led to this they gave rats an obscene amount of D-limonene to trigger cancer and small amounts had no side effects at all. Read the studies, look for sources.

🍷The Heir of Evil🐉 AU fans have decided, and...
🍷The Heir of Evil🐉 AU Reader will be an IceWing!!
I have a few headcanons for them, and a a bit of backstory and lore planned, too😊 Let's dive in:
• ❄IceWing!🍷Heir of Evil!🐉 Reader is the grandchild or great-grandchild to the wicked IceWing queen, specifically the one who put the tribe into multiple wars and skirmishes and tried to take over the dragon world. Reader isn't like her (they're not an irredeemable monster who hurts others for fun)
• Heir! Reader wears jewelry that is mostly silver or black, but loves any sort of colorful gemstones or charms...
• Heir! Reader only wears the pieces of jewelry that are necessary; they don't want to waste the tribe's treasure on frivolous items, and if the jewelry appeals to other tribes, then it might make Reader and the IceWings seem more appealing, like they're dragons, too...
• Heir! Reader is good with algebra, dragon biology, and creative writing...
• Heir! Reader is torn between what the two sides of their kingdom wants: to stay unscheming and try to foster peace, hoping other tribes will leave them alone and not hurt them further... or to amass enough power and treasure that they can wage a war against the other tribes, or at least the IceWing hybrids who some view as traitors...
• Heir! Reader's necklace they were told to never take off is enchanted, but they don't know that. The necklace hides something about them, which is why their vanished/dead parent gave it to them...
• Heir! Reader has had to stop a coup for their throne/title at age four (about 12 year old in WoF dragon years), which led to them earning the respect of the remaining advisors and generals of their late parent/late family, as well as the respect of the few nobles left and the different IceWing villages...
• Heir! Reader's hatching day is a mystery, as no one ever saw their egg, nor them, when they were first hatched, save for their deceased parent and a late ally of their's...
• Heir! Reader has an army of pet foxes, all of which are (diet) platonic yandere for them (they're all so cute and cuddly and fluffy-!)
• Heir! Reader, unlike most IceWings, enjoys trying cooked meats and exotic dishes from other tribes and kingdoms...
• Heir! Reader prefers to sleep with a fur blanket, not because they're cold (they're an IceWing), but because they like the soft fur and fuzzy texture...
• Heir! Reader is an aromantic-asexual...
• Heir! Reader enjoys traditonal IceWing foods such as fresh salmon with lemon juice, thinly-sliced caribou strips, puffin and moss salad, kalimari (squid), bear jerkey, ox ribs seasoned lightly with moss, seal meat marinated in ginger/lemon/honey, as well as ice cream, frozen berry slush, and lemon-flavored shaved ice...
• Heir! Reader likes traditional dishes from other kingdoms such as: MudWing's Diamond Delta Gumbo, SandWing's Cinnamon Milk and Roasted Lizard Kebabs, SkyWing's Charred+Barbecued Eagle Wings, SeaWing's Thousand Scales Thousand Fish Sushi, RainWing's Mango-Orange Juice, NightWing's Smoked Boarchops, HiveWing's Honey-roasted Shrimp, SilkWing's Loaded Baked and Sweet Potatoes, and LeafWing's Planter's Pie...
• Heir! Reader sometimes wears a small, spiked tailband on the end of their tail, nestled above where their spikes are...
• Heir! Reader enjoys sunrises, and writes new poems and hymns for their tribe to sing at their Gifts of the Ice Dragon Festival...
• Heir! Reader enjoys old literature, especially comedies...
(I will make another post about Heir! Reader facts, but dealing with IceWing culture)
(I wonder what their name could/should/would be?)

Ok no actually I wanna hear your Trader Joe’s opinions I’m really into the orange strawberry banana juice, the bruschetta sauce, the cranberry lime juice sparkling water and cinnamon schoolbook cookies
You and I agree on the CLSW (cranlime sparkling), haven’t tried the others but I’ll look into them. The normal lime one is also amazing on its own, as well as a mixer for both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Summer must!
There’s so much shit I’m obsessed with, I’ll try and list the most important ones
English crumpets
Mango kefir
Brown sugar oat creamer
Chocolate oat milk
Simpler wines brand sparkling white canned wine
Pfeffernüsse
Chocolate babka
Brioche sliced bread
Danish Kringle
Pinks and whites shortbread cookies
Joe Joe’s gluten free classic Oreo knock off cookie
Madras lentils (boxed kind is good too)
Canned giant baked beans in tomato sauce
The non joes brand oat milk coffee and kombucha but you can get those anywhere
Their candles, two in one grapefruit mint hair wash (I despise two in one products but this one doesn’t foam and is more of a cleansing conditioner I use in between shampoo and regular conditionings), and many other non food items. I’ve bought their towels, seasonal decor (usually those felt garlands), face lotions and oils. Loved all of them. Usually I only restock on the lotion, hand soap, and lavender laundry bags. Their detergent is nice tho, and I’ve also gotten their wool laundry balls but you really only ever gotta buy them like once. They also usually have pretty cute cards at the checkout! I like their cheaper flowers too, but there’s also a lot of very cute seasonal items they carry that I just can’t justify buying bc of price (have you seen their felt sunflowers? So adorable)
Simpler times potato chips
Crispy Crunchy Champignon Mushroom Snack
Fruit leather bars
Dried orange rings
Lox (labeled as smoked salmon iirc)
Both their Tunisian and kalamata olive oil
Vodka sauce
Roasted red pepper and tomato canned soup
Canned vegetable soup
Gone bananas chocolate covered frozen bananas (gone berry crazy strawberries are good too but like a dollar or two more expensive)
Jasmine rice in the frozen isle
Lime popsicles
Steak and stout meat pie
Pastry Bites Feta Cheese & Caramelized Onions
Canned tuna*
*especially with the gluten free microwaveable mac n cheese (I’m not gluten free if you’ve noticed, I literally just prefer some of their gluten free products. Same with the oat milk. I’m not lactose free but I just really like it)
Most of the frozen wontons I’ve tried
Chimichurri rice (goes great with the aforementioned roasted red pepper box soup, and chopped onions, green peppers, and spinach cooked in a wok)
Chicken sausage
Butternut squash gnocchi, iirc the potato gnocchi is good too
Most of their dried pastas
Almond and chocolate filled frozen croissants
The bars of chocolate you find at the check out that come in packs of threes
The weird meat sticks at the checkout too
Frozen hashbrowns
For whatever reason, their frozen green beans and asparagus is so much better than other generic brands I’ve tried
Any of the canned olives but esp the kalamata
Sun dried tomatoes
The produce is okay, a little pricey but they had brown Mexican tomatoes once that fucked hard. The herbs trustworthy too but really where is it not
Any of their chocolate covered nuts
Their fucked up chocolate covered chips, sometimes found in their snack mixes
Peanut butter pretzel snacks
Their dried seaweed isn’t my fav, but it’s not bad. I think it’s overpriced tho but tbf I usually get huuuge, less flavored packs from Costco
Pine nuts but good Gd are they expensive
They have cute, weird heirloom hybrid squashes during the fall a lot too that are pretty tasty
Things I’ve gotten from there that I hated? I didn’t like their orange chicken, ANY of the cereals I’ve gotten from there oddly enough, their pecorino Romano only comes grated and mixed iirc and I didn’t care for it. Some of their beers have made me scowl but also those are all random brands. But their wine (yes, even SHAW. But shoutout to coco bon red blend and blue fin moscato RIP!) has never does me wrong…except for any other flavor of the simpler wines canned ones. I can only do the sparkling white and literally no else I've forced to drink it has liked it! some of their salads have done me wrong. the canned chickpeas and dolmas were off. and some of their pricy juice mixes left me a bit disappointed.

Look i know your requests are closed for now. But whenever you can. Could i have fave foods, food preferences, and dislikes for mk characters?
Maybe the basic roster? Liu kang, kung lao, sonya, jax, kano, johnny cage, sub zero(s),scorpion, raiden, kitana, and shang tsung? Maybe a reptile thrown in there.
Ok this might be long but I'll try!
Mortal kombat characters and their food preferences.
Tumblr media
Liu kang:
He likes bold flavors, spices and savory dishes are his go to. He likes dry heat but not so much he can't taste anything. He also likes sweet fruits like peaches and mangoes. He likes mango flavored shaved ice
Kung lao:
He mostly eats vegetables, fresh and delicious with noodles is his go to. But he does rarely eat chicken (don't tell his white lotus masters) and on very special holidays he eats pork (again, don't tell his white lotus masters.) He adores soup dumplings and thats his favorite.
Sonya:
It might be typical, but she loves a nice juicy classic all American burger, fresh off the grill. Other than that she drinks a lot of coffee and prefers light and quick easy meals to get her through the day.
Jax:
The man is simple, he loves a good barbecue pulled pork. Anything high in protein that's also delicious. He also loves strawberry ice cream.
Kano:
Barbeque, beer, and mochi. Surprising to some, kano has a varied palette. While he can eat anything (had to at some points) he also knows whats delicious and whats mediocre at best.
Johnny cage:
The most well coordinated diet you expect from a well active celebrity. But Johnny prefers homemade and authentic food, which often he goes to any obscure family owned ethnic restaurant. His favorite is one noodle dish from a restuarant owned by a very old Chinese man who taught him how to make it, after Johnny practically begged on his knees to know.
Sub-zero/kuai liang:
Kuai is simple, rice and vegetables with beef. But his absolute favorite is ice cream, his eyes light up whenever he sees the delicious frozen treats.
Sub-zero/bi-han:
Bi-han has similar tastes to kuai. But prefers his meats to be burnt to a charcoal. Loves chocolate ice cream.
Scorpion/hanzo hasashi:
Hearty, warm, homemade dishes. Lots of fish, lots of rice. He likes spicy but prefers to be in the mood to fully enjoy it. Likes citrusy desserts.
Raiden:
He loves spice an abnormal amount. Giving him spicy chicken is the quickest way to earn his favor. He also loves milk too. Even his brother is unnerved by how much spicy food raiden can eat and not suffer tremendously, he's just built different. He likes lightly sweet desserts like marshmallows or cotton candy. Or dango.
Kitana:
Edenian dishes are as colorful as delicious and varied. Herbs and spices are used generously and most are vegetarian. Kitana's favorite is an edenian dish with an outworld goat meat marinated in a special edenian orange. Peaches do not exist in outworld but kitana loved the white peach liu kang once offered her. She longs for it's taste again.
Shang tsung:
He loves vegetables, fresh and well prepared. Noodles and broth must also be to his liking. There is one dish that will make him feel so content and at peace, it's a simple peasant dish from a long time ago in china. Shang tsung also loves fruits that are especially juicy and sweet, or tangy. Loves lychee and mango the most.
Bonus reptile/syzoth:
Saurian's diet consists of fish and special leafy greens no longer found in outworld as the plantlife went extinct (thanks shao kahn). But a similar dish is catfish and collared greens.

₊˚⊹ ᰔ Early Morning Smoke
Tumblr media
As you get up stretching and yawing you get up and hobble to the bathroom. As you brush you teeth in the bathroom you look at yourself in the mirror while also reading the grocery list left on a sticky note in the bathroom. You take your bonnet off letting your braids hang down. After spitting out your toothpaste you wash your face.
Trudging over to the kitchen you open the blinds letting the sunlight peek through your window it’s warmth kissing your hands. You turn on the space heater before humming and opening the freezer and taking out two bags of frozen fruit. You open one blender cup pouring a mix of pineapple, mango and peaches and a little bit of coconut milk. The next cup was raspberry, strawberry plus a little bit of cranberry juice per Shoko’s request. Making breakfast for the both of you was your favorite thing.
You walk out to the balcony greeting Shoko. The smell of smoke was in the air. “Mornin Sho here’s your’s.” You hand her the smoothie you felt how cold her hands were verses your’s as you got closer and leaned against her. “You should go back in I don’t want you getting a cold Y/n.” Shoko mumbled her tired eyes drifting over to you she put an arm around you pulling you closer. “Well you’re a doctor can’t you nurse me back to health." Shoko let out a stifled chuckle before taking another drag of her cigarette. "Well yes but that's not how that works babe." She blows some smoke your way jokingly before kissing the top of your head. You stay in Shoko's warm embrace before looking at her again. "Shoko.. I love you." You mumble to her before kissing her cheek. It was mornings like this that had Shoko's heart full of love for you. She pulled you closer to her kissing you. Your lips colliding in a passionate dance as Shoko breathes smoke out of her nose and you cough. Shoko laughs a little before kissing your nose as an apology. "You taste like smoke but I don't mind Sho." You whisper worried you'll disturb the silence of the early morning around you both.
After Shoko's morning smoke you both went inside you started making breakfast for the both of you and she sat and talked to you about her hellish week she has planned. As she held on to you soaking in your warmth watching you cook eggs in the pan as she scatters soft kisses across your neck.
