i’m currently on a road trip with my family and am having much thoughts about steve

so imagine going on a trip with steve!! he’s the type i feel like who simultaneously makes plans and no plans. either he plans the drives to and from or he plans the day actives you can’t have both with this man and he tells you to “trust him” with everything and it’s sweet it’s cute he wants to surprise you but goddamnit steve you don’t want to get lost in some random part of wherever you’re going for an hour because google maps didn’t exist back then—

steve loves spontaneous road trips!! he always packs for you too cause he loves to surprise you with these things especially if you've had a rough week or anything like that.

"steve please just tell me where we're going!"

steve shook his and placed your bags in the trunk of his car. he slammed it shut and brought you in for a kiss. "it's a surprise!"

"do you remember the last surprise road trip you planned?"

steve rolled his eyes and opened the passenger door for you. once you were settled in he poked his head through the window and gave you a kiss.

"in my defense i was driving late at night."

you made a face at him. "it was 12:30 on a friday night. my grandma stays up later than that."

steve jogged to his side of the car and started it once he was buckled in. "okay well props to your grandma she's a trooper." he said with a playful eye roll.

"steve i just wanna help-"

"do you trust me?" he cut you off. you looked over at him and felt heat on your cheeks. steve always looked at you like you hung the stars in the sky for him, and him only.

"of course i trust you."

he smiled and leaned over the arm rest to give you a soft kiss.

"then let's get this show on the road."

driving with steve was one of your favorite activities. the windows would be rolled down, the radio blasting the mixtape he made especially for this occasion, and he even got you a matching pair of sunglasses. you noticed he began to pull over on the side of road. you sat up, lifting the sunglasses and looked around.

"steve, are we here?" you asked while looking over at him. he shook his head and was busy looking at the map.

"the exit should've been three miles back, i don't understand why didn't we see it?"

you pushed the sunglasses up to your head and look at the map with him. "steve we're lost aren't we?"

"pft! whaaat no way! i can get us to our destination just like that!" he said while snapping his fingers.

"okay so do it." you teased with a smirk on your face.

steve let out a dry chuckle and started to drive on the road again. "you plan a trip for her and all of a sudden the only thing she knows is sarcasm!"

steve stepped out the car stretching his legs, groaning as he popped his back.

you cooed at the cute family owned diner. "steve we should eat here! it's so adorable!"

steve threw his arm around you and smiled. "i could go for some food right now."

you both walked into the cozy looking building taking in the cute knickknacks that were placed everywhere. you let out a gasp when you see a cat walk towards you and steve.

"oh my gosh! look at this cutie!!" you exclaimed picking up the cat. he was a big orange cat that instantly purred the second he was in your arms. he rubbed his face against yours and let out a meow.

"hey man, back up off my girl." steve said while petting the cat. the cat let out a short meow at him and licked his hand.

"it's cool, just don't do it again." he mumbled.

"i found riffraff mom!" a young girl said while walking toward you two. she gave you two an apology and grabbed the cat from your arms.

"he thinks he owns the building or something, the nerve of this cat." she giggled out as she placed him on his bed near the door.

"how can i help you two? before you ask, no he doesn't go near the kitchen, we just have him greet our guests."

steve chuckled. "don't worry, i don't think she'd care if he stepped on her food." he said while looking at you okay with the cat.

"we were just wondering if we could eat here. we're on a road trip and um," steve cleared his throat and lowered his voice. "i kinda got lost-"

"i knew it!"

the girl let out a giggle and grabbed two menus. "you guys remind me of my parents, come this way i have a table with your names on it"

you smiled at steve telling him thank you when he pulled out your chair and pushed you in. he gave you a kiss on your cheek and took the seat in front of you.

"can i start you off with anything to drink?"

"i'll take an orange soda." steve said with a smile.

"oh! i'll have the strawberry shake!" you said.

the girl smiled. "great choice! its definitely a house favorite. i'll be back with those drinks!"

you smiled at steve and grabbed his hand. "so when were you gonna tell me you were lost."

steve kissed your knuckles gently and shrugged his shoulders. "you're too smart for me baby, i know you figured it out the moment i pulled over."

"well," you started off. "i'm loving this trip so far." you leaned over the table and gave him a small kiss that had him leaning in for another right when you pulled away. "thank you, for everything stevie."

steve had a pretty pink hue on his cheeks and he rubbed the back of his neck. "you don't have to thank me, i'll take you anywhere you want whenever you want."

you were both interrupted when riffraff jumped onto the table his head rubbing against your cheek while loudly purring.

Just please spice it up a bit.

There are normal people with country accents,

not everyone with a country accent is a fucking stereotype,

just like how not everyone with a British accent is a posh overly fancy man who drinks tea and wears a monocle and top hat.
