Hands (1)
God, you dream of those hands.
Original Prompt:
Size Kink & Breeding Kink with Konig.
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - AO3
Konig x Fem! Reader
(A/N): I accidentally fuckin deleted the original post while trying to add links to the other 2 chapters, so reposting LMAO. I'M SO SAD BC IT WAS ONE OF MY BEST PREFORMING POSTS.
Tumblr media
Honestly? It started in a very innocent way.
"I'm taking off your gloves."
He sat in front of you, tapping his foot on the cold tile. Currently under the attention of you from the intended use of his hands in combat.
Which is why you were inspecting for broken knuckles.
Most of his gear had been taken off, set aside along with the hood that donned his head on missions. Now, you were pulling the gloved that clung to the asking of his hands off. Inspecting the pale skin beneath them.
"You know, I'm starting to think you do dumb shit like this on purpose." You glance up at him.
"I'd never." He replied.
"Because I'm lookin' at these hands, and I'm seeing a whole lot of unnecessary bruising."
"It was necessary."
You quirked a brow.
"You just, happen to lose your gun there soldier?" You pulled back, leaning back against your seat and shooting him an amused glance.
"Sometimes, things are better done by hand."
"mmhm." You mumbled.
Eyes trailed up his hands, finding stray scars and following the veins leading up to his forearms.
Man,
those were some big hands.
"Is everything alright, doctor?" He asks, amusement twirling around in his eyes, sparking out in his voice.
Maybe he was catching on to your oogling.
"Just making sure nothing broken. Can't imagine it would be fun to work with broken fingers."
"Nein."
"This hurt?" You ask.
"Nein."
"Then you're fine. I'll give you some meds and send you off on your way."
"Danke!" He shot up, clamping a hand down on your shoulder, man near enveloping your entire left side.
You started to imagine what it would be like if that big hand wrapped around your neck.
"Be careful, please."
"Of course." He shot a sideways, toothy grin. The side that his nose crooked over to and the side with the one crooked canine that made him look like a dog ready to chase a bone.
He turned, starting to walk away.
"You know, König." You stated. He stopped a turned around. "If you want to visit me, you don't need to have an injury."
His eyebrows raised, and you could swear there was a blush that tinted his cheeks. "I'll consider that for next time."
Before turning and leaving.
And he did visit you.
One visit turned into two.
Then four.
Then he just popped in so often while he was not on a mission he became part of your routine.
Have a cup of coffee with König in the morning, maybe even join him for dinner and enjoy it in the sanctity of your quiet and private office.
Just so happened that the longer you spent with him the more your thoughts were clouded.
His hands,
his thighs,
fuck, you can't even imagine how big his cock would be.
You'd like to think you were better than this.
Pressed up in your shower thinking about the huge man, wondering what his bare chest would feel like curling up over your back.
You closed your eyes, trying to picture just how good it would feel.
It would be right after he comes back from a mission, the dark look in his eyes still clouding his consciousness as he's still in the mindset of a soldier, a killer.
His steps would be heavier- you'd hear him walk into the bathroom, the rustling of clothing as he strips the cloth covering his flesh discarded down to the ground without a second thought.
He'd slip into the shower, with your head placed under the stream of hot water. Almost comically so, his head would be unable to reach the stream of water without immensely bending at the knees.
You'd hum, leaning back into him as he'd reach his arm around your waist, pulling your wet body closer to his. Head dropping down for his mouth to latch onto the nape of your neck, biting and sucking on the sensitive skin.
Gasping throwing your head back farther and allowing it to bump against his shoulder, letting out a light whine that he'd love to harvest from your throat.
One hand would drift down, widening his palm as it flattened and slid down your tummy, nearly covering the expanse of your abdomen before it dipped down, lower.
His other hand would grab your chin, pulling your head back to meet into a feverish kiss. Pressing your back up against the cold wall of the shower, holding it up against it.
On a normal occasion, you'd be terrified to slip, but you just know with his arm slinked around over you waist toying dangerously close to your cunt that there was no chance of slipping.
No chance of him letting you go.
A digit would brush up through your folds collecting the slippery production of your arousal, dragging his finger ever so carefully up until it traced around your clit. Circling it, dangerously so.
Applying pressure as the rough pad of his finger pushed against your clit, mouth devouring any noises you let out.
It hurt, in a way.
One that was so delicious you only wanted more.
His large finger pressing down on your clit felt heavenly, the feeling of his tongue pushing against yours as you swapped spit in the most degenerating fashion.
Your hips unconsciously pushed forward against his hand, bucking as he pressed you firmly against the wall.
He'd tsk, giving you a light scolding before removing his mouth from yours completely, allowing a thin strand of spit to cast its way from him lips to yours.
God.
You could just die.
He'd snicker, that snicker that made his lip quirk upward revealing his crooked tooth. All before he'd lean in and ask,
"What do you want me to do, Schatz?"
"Fuckkkk." You'd whine, letting your head bump against the shower wall. "Please." You'd whisper out.
"Hm?" He'd ask, still toying his finger around your clit.
"Finger me- fuck, please. Please finger me."
His finger would leave your clit, diving back down and just barely poking into your entrance.
The digit was long and thick- it felt like nearly two of your own being stuffed inside you. Even more so as the single digit could curl up in such a delectable manner pressing up against the spongey roof of your core.
You'd breathe harshly, ducking your head up against his neck and arm gripping at the expanse of his back and nails digging into the pale and freckled flesh.
He'd add a second digit, and you felt like you were on cloud nine.
No,
You felt like you were on cloud nine as he removed his free hand from you, bringing it down and rubbing on your clit as his other hand pumped mechanically in and out of you, curling his fingers forward and circling the pad of his finger against your clit.
It would feel like your legs would give out first, but he'd keep you upright as you came, his mouth would latch onto yours. Shoving his tongue into your mouth claiming you in the best way possible.
Body draped over yours, his large hands pleasing you to the point of competition-
Blinking, you realized there was no man draped behind you.
The water in the shower had run cold a long time ago, but the pleasant buzz in your head from your shameful masturbation numbed any embarrassment for a few moments.
You sighed, turning off the water and glancing down at your fingers.
For now? Thinking of his large hands would have to do.

Hey so I’m a lil confused on what happened with the West End Alts situation, all I know is that because they reduced from 9 to 8 shows a week, the alts no longer consistently have at least one day a week on right? But then I hear about how there’s something up with the alt costumes too? Is it possible that you can summarise bc all I’m seeing is fallout across various instas
Hey! So...there's a whole lot. Quick note that I've been on hiatus the last few weeks so apologies for taking so long to reply to you (and I know I have many more unanswered asks on this to get to as well, so apologies to y'all and will do so when I have time).
I did briefly hop in from hiatus to post this, which I would suggest reading. I was light on details because I simply did not have time to go into it more, but it gives a base for a lot of what I'll say here. First things first, the show schedule. Most West End shows perform eight shows a week: 6 days of shows with 1 day off, and 2 of the days have an extra matinee added. It's meant to be optimal for tourist audiences and families. But Six is a much shorter show with an unconventional format that originally wasn't really trying to appeal to those traditional musical theatre audiences, and so a lot of their marketing promoted them more as a fun night out pop show rather than a West End musical. With that and the shorter show in mind, they operated a nine show per week schedule (they've also had some similarly unique scheduling and marketing in the US, particularly for Broadway and the Vegas run). However, the way that pay is set up under the UK actor's union (Equity) is based on the more conventional West End schedules, with actors contracted for either eight show weeks or twelve show weeks. So Six has had all their actors on eight show week contracts, and covered the one show disparity between eight-show-contract and nine-show-schedule by requiring that all actors have to have one show off per week. This meant that each role would have to have a cover perform for at least one show per week. Hence, the West End alternate system was born! But it's been almost five years now, and the outlook for Six is very different. The West End production is very successful, very established, much more polished, and hugely appealing to a more conventional tourist audience. They don't need to focus on setting themselves apart like they originally did; they've long since established themselves as a tenet and huge force of the West End, and much of their marketing now focuses on that status. (A really good comparison for anyone who is from the US and was into theatre about ten years ago is how Hamilton shifted their marketing - they started out as another unconventional, "risky" show that really leaned into those features as part of their marketing, but as the show became more popular and mainstream they've long since started to focus on ongoing success and tourism.) So, yes, right now, they are trialing an eight-show-per-week schedule. Without the ninth performance, they do not need scheduled alternate shows and so they are temporarily not happening during this trial period. Which sucks, but the switch to eight shows is a good thing and is one of many examples of how they're shifting their operations for that longevity by optimizing financials. It's also much more sustainable for everyone involved with the show, because Six is very intense and overuse injuries are rampant. But, again, they are promoting this as a trial period. It gives them time to see how it works financially and to see how the cast functions with this performance schedule (including if more covers could be needed in the future). They'll re-assess, probably in Jan/Feb, and see what happens then. I'm personally expecting that they will keep an eight week schedule, but it's also wholly in the realm of possibility that they might do so and still re-introduce some level of scheduled alternate system, depending on what needs/concerns they find. (Right now the UK Tour principals each have a show off every other week with alts scheduled for their first covers on alternating weeks, while Broadway/NCL swings out each principal for one show every few months, so there are definitely systems for some scheduled swing-ons that are significantly reduced from the weekly alt system. And of course the alts will be on for any injuries/illness/vacations, of which there have already been many). It's also worth noting that because this is a shorter trial period, the contracts will likely have to be renegotiated in some form. So....the costumes.
We've seen some pretty clear evidence for them in the theater, starting in tech week. Naomi and Hannah both posted their makeup; both of them got glitter eyeshadows for both of their principals plus a third glitter that matches the color of an alternate costume (Naomi orange, Hannah light pink). They also both got palettes that were inclusive of both their queens colors' and those alternate colors: for Hannah it's a pink palette that some other Howards have used in the past, but for Naomi the dominant color is oranges and it's a very blatant departure from what makeup they've given Cleves principals/alts in recent years so I really don't find there to be an easily argued alternative explanation. And Hannah got three lipsticks, in the exact same shades that they normally assign for Howard, Parr, and pink alt. We've also seen blue, orange, and pink alternate costumes in the theater, but weeks after the previous' cast's costumes were loaded out and stored in one of their maintenance areas. I've posted about all of that a fair bit in this thread, although note that it hasn't been updated in about a month and is now out of date. But starting about two weeks into this current cast's performances, there have been a couple messages/statements about both alt costumes and covers that seem to imply they don't exist, which I think is what you saw. However...I think they've all been worded oddly and far too carefully, plus the very tangible evidence of alt makeup, plus the existence of alt costumes was also denied in 2021, so I've been incredibly skeptical. But earlier today on live Hannah said they aren't contracted to have second covers for the moment, which is pretty clear but with a providence that that may not always be the case. That also ties in with a theory I've been forming over the last few weeks: that Six is still undecided on whether these alternates will have additional covers, but has had the costume team make all the provisions necessary so that covers can be very quickly added when those decisions are made. This also allows the costume team to move on - most of them are working on Starlight Express these next few months and likely wouldn't be able to return to Six at the drop of a hat for all the prep needed to alt costumes later on. Setting everything up in advance for that possibility is just more efficient for everybody and would allow the alts to quickly learn/debut new tracks if needed. To me, those plans most likely mean: - That the alternates were fit with pre-existing alternate costumes that are now altered for them and stored in the theater - That the alternates were given makeup for all three queens, such as the glitters/palettes/lipsticks that I talked about above - That the alternates were given wigs/hairstyles that intentionally have more versatility in their rigging/cuts to be repurposed for a wide variety of queens if needed (which does seem to be the case, and is not how they'd be set up if they were purely intended to be worn as we've seen them used so far for their first covers) (Also noting that if they're not formally contracted for any additional covers, they cannot be formally rehearsing them; that's why I expect that if they were to add any additional covers it would be finalized and contracted when the performance schedule is for convenience's sake) However...again, this is purely a speculation/theory of mine based on what I've seen and some of the very careful wording (but does seem supported by Hannah's). And even if I'm correct, Six preparing for the possibility of second covers/alternate costumes does not necessarily mean that that will actually wind up in use. Once again, Six is moving to a longer-term focus and in some trial periods to see how they can maintain the show going forward, so some of the production management will still be in flux in the coming weeks/months.

Honestly, I really admire (and am thankful for) the way you manage and handle those back and forth with some Izzy stans, I don't think I have the mental strength to entertain them myself.
I wasn't part of the fandom after season 1 aired, I watched it without engaging much and then kind of waited for season 2 to come out, so I had no idea such a divide had happened between Izzy stans and the rest of the fandom (glad I was oblivious to it ngl). All I know is that I hated Izzy’s guts and wanted him to get his just desert.
So yeah, I wasn’t a fan and I struggled forgiving him when season 2 started because the show was trying so hard to make him sympathetic (which I honestly couldn’t give two shits about at first, I wanted revenge), plus you’re right, Izzy got way too much screen time (which gave Izzy stans ammunitions to say “SEE!! Main character!!!”), but I did end up warming up to him by the time he died. I can even say I genuinely liked him.
BUT the journey to that point was sooo conflicting because some Izzy stans were also doing the absolute most in the main tag, painting Izzy as this angel who never did anything wrong and was terrorized by the monster Ed, and I was like????? Did season 1 happen??? Did I dream the whole season??? Did I watch a version from an alternate universe??? I was BAFFLED. I don't know who is that Izzy they're talking about, but it's not the one on my screen, that's for sure.
Then, Izzy died and the hardcore stans lost their shit (you know what I'm talking about) and they have seriously soured me to Izzy again. I want to like the character we had on screen, and I want to like his redemption arc. He was a great antagonist even if I hated him, and we owed him so much for all the shit he pulled in season 1, but the OTT takes and behaviors from stans I’ve seen have made me give up on him, which sucks. Maybe I’ll feel better about him in a few months, but right now, I can’t stand him, and I’ve blocked his tag everywhere (ao3 included, because, truly, fuck fanon Izzy, fuck him).
Hope it’s not too draining for you though, just writing this felt like screaming into the void, so I can’t imagine dealing with this on the daily. Take care!
hi anon i'm so glad you sent this bc i felt very similarly about izzy in s2. i didn't find him sympathetic at all. i didn't give a single shit that he was suffering from ed being in his kraken era bc he's the entire reason ed ended up like that in the first place. izzy was reaping what he sowed. seeing ed feeling so miserable broke my fucking heart and i can't stand any bullshit takes about 'izzy was protecting the crew from ed's abuse' or 'edizzy invented love confirmed' or whatever other nonsense his stans chose to take away from episodes 1-3.
i truly do not see izzy as a victim. i truly do not see ed as an abuser. sometimes i will start reading a post in the ofmd tag that refers to an 'abuser' and a 'victim' and i get halfway through the post and realise that the op has a completely opposite view of who is who than i do.
and as s2 progressed i just felt worse and worse about it like he was getting so much screentime and popping up all over the place and he'd absorbed a load of traits (from other characters that i'd have rather seen more of) bc the writers had to speedrun making him semi-likeable. i still haven't done a proper rewatch since the finale aired and i'm pretty sure i'll feel different watching it knowing he dies in ep8, but when eps 6-7 dropped i fucking hated every scene he was in and felt like he ruined some otherwise really lovely ed/stede moments like their breakfast in bed. izzy being cheered on for wearing drag and singing - the exact acts that caused him to threaten ed - feels exactly like the very common queer experience of seeing the homophobic kid who bullied you for being queer getting loads of support when they come out themselves.
and the takes that were coming out of the canyon at this time were absolutely wild, especially in relation to ed. people absolutely baying for blood, wanting to see him suffer, wanting his relationship with stede to suffer, wanting him to have to crawl across broken glass to repair his relationship with the crew, all while treating izzy as a protagonist who never did anything wrong.
so ngl i was delighted when he died. but mostly i was relieved that it was going to be over. i walked out of my circus tent with my clown makeup on believing that the canyon would yell for a bit and then slowly quiet down as people who claimed they'd be leaving the fandom if izzy died made good on their promise and fucked off.
and if anything they've got louder and more unhinged and are out here reinventing tjlc and harassing the writers and churning out the most rancid racist posts and writing obituaries that caused multiple people on twt to mistakenly think Actual Human Person con o'neill had died.
and on one hand i'm kind of glad that more people know what they're like now but god i really do feel for any izzy fans who have had their enjoyment of him ruined by the canyon. i really do think it's not the character that's polarising, it's the fandom response, in that most people who come in liking izzy end up either aligning with the canyon or getting so fucking fed up of the canyon that they don't like him anymore. and both of those are a shame tbh because he is very well acted and well written, especially in s1, and i wish i could've enjoyed his scenes and felt the emotional payoff of his death
anyway. sorry for writing you 1 billion words. ily ❤️

Ok so my thoughts on side order n shit. Erm obviously spoilers for side order. I'll just be talking about the levels and bosses, not the lore that was presented in the dlc (I am not smart enough to unpack the lore)
Ok first of all I want to say that I really liked side order, I thought it was really fun and I think the palettes and tones were really cool. I like that whichever tones you have the most of effects the color of your ink and the under tones of your ink. I think honestly that's really cool. But, I think the lack of boss variety kindof sucks. Like, there's only three bosses, which makes going through the spire kinda boring after awhile. like, I went and did all of the palettes, and I have to say doing that felt like kindof a drag after awhile, bc i knew what bosses there would be. It just made it boring.
And also, when doing eight's palettes, I expect the final boss to change, to be stronger, but it literally stayed the same the entire time. Which was honestly really disappointing. I thought it would be kindof like inner agent eight, but it was literally just the same as all the other runs I did. I mean, the boss fight is still fun, don't get me wrong, but I really thought it would change and it would be more of a challenge.
Also I think the levels are pretty fun, i especially liked the ball popping ones. BUT with the same critique I had for the bosses, I think the level variety is lacking. And I know they probably did that because there's difficulties for all the levels, so having too many different levels would kinda be really overwhelming, but having only five different levels types is low. Considering that you'll probably have to go through the spire a lot, it'll probably get really boring.
Erm anyway sorry I'm not very good with getting my thoughts out. I liked side order a lot but I feel like it was also really underwhelming. I really liked the visuals, the way everything looked was really pretty and cool. And also I think the fact that each time you beat the big boss there's different dialogue, which is honestly really cute. Anyways those are my thoughts sorry it kindof felt like I was rambling more than anything

can i ask what ur favourite dvds are from your collection?
FINALLY someone who appreciates me!! gonna format this as a list bc i was rambling too much and this is neater (also note that some of these are my favourite bc i love the film, and some bc the physical dvd is just so cool):
two-disc edition of maurice (1987) released by the bfi (best film ever btw).
40th anniversary release of the sound of music that came with an 8-page booklet (also the best film ever).
jennifer's body and jawbreaker (both cult classics in the 'teen girls are evil' genre).
all three bill and ted movies (the first of which is a 4k restoration).
every spider-man movie (raimi, webb, watts, spider-verse) including spider-man 2.1 (the extended cut of spider-man 2).
coraline 2-disc collectors edition that came with two pairs of 3D glasses.
the lesser-known shrek 3D (unfortunately not shrek (2001) in 3D, this is a separate short called shrek 3D 😔) that also came with 3D glasses.
the 'far far away' edition of shrek 2, which has a button on the front that makes donkey's mouth light up and speak if you press it, and when you open the case there's a pop-up scene of the characters.
barbie boxset that's designed to look like a jewelry box complete with a mirror that has the first 19(!!) barbie movies (although not technically since it skips the barbie diaries in favour of princess charm school).
the monster-high '6 movie collection' (super lucky find from a charity shop, i barely ever see monster high movies in there).
the special editions of all three high school musical movies.
monster house (2006) which came with an exclusive comic (also found in a charity shop).
stranger things season 1 on dvd and blu-ray in a vhs-style case (this was exclusive to target back in 2017 and i got it for £20 on ebay still sealed!! season 2 is unfortunately much more expensive 😔).
i have yet to watch it, but i have the alien quadrilogy in a green-iridescent sleve which contains 9 discs and a booklet.
also have yet to watch, but my 2-disc edition of fight club in a cardboard sleeve designed to look like a paper package is pretty cool.
i'm very grateful to my parents for not getting rid of my childhood dvds, bc i now have a pretty substantial collection of disney classics, most of them 2-disc special editions (though they're not all in the best condition; my copy of cinderella cracked in the middle of the disc because i watched it so much, but hey, that's just a testament to how much i loved it).
oh, and i also own 65% of andrew garfield's filmography (out of those that can be owned physically that is). it sucks that i can't own tick tick boom since it's a netflix original, but never let me go is one of my favourite films of all time so i'm very happy to have that one!!

I’m sure jungkook already had ideas about this going in, but I can’t help thinking about how much better all of the rappers in bts are compared to Jack Harlow and central cee. It says a lot about who gets elevated in the music industry. Like jungkook was so spoiled with rap line 😭 I wonder if it’s something he noted. Tbh, and I don’t know if this makes sense considering how much more recognized they are, but being a western pop star doesn’t seem like all it’s cracked up to be success-wise. There are a lot of people that make music that’s played heavily on the radio and heavily listened to, like kid laroi maybe, but idk if I’ve ever met a kid laroi ‘fan’ or if people really go to his concerts or physically buy his albums. Most likely he’s taking pennies from Spotify, and that’s probably what most of them do if they’re not Taylor swift. K-pop fan engagement is a different beast bc the fan culture is very much about actively engaging with the artists - going to concerts and buying albums and hyping them. You’ll more directly receive the love from your fans, which boosts you up more. Since most people aren’t going to be successful in either industry, I think I’d rather be in kpop since it might feel more rewarding in the moment
Yeah, the BTS rap line is infinitely superior to Central Cee and Jack Harlow - from flow to lyrics to looks to charm lmao.
It's true that success in the West a lot of times seems to mean people knowing who you are because they heard of you or heard one or two of your songs on the radio and not even by choice. Those artists make money from ads, performances, their label, but may not really have that many real fans. The Kid Laroi is famous, everyone in a given age group knows who he is, but he probably wouldn't fill a stadium in a heartbeat like Jungkook would, no matter how big the stadium. Even in a market like Europe, where The Kid Laroi is way more mainstream, Jungkook would still sell out any stadium over him, even if all the seats were filled with foreigners who flew in to see him. It's a bit unfair that, despite this reality, Jungkook will probably never be mainstream the way a lot of American artists are.
But American artists make a lot more money than kpop artists, work less in general, and often have more creative control and personal freedom. I wouldn't say that it's better to be a kpop artist. If you think The Kid Laroi is being paid pennies, than how much do you think most idols make? And he's just starting out. There's also a question of trainee debt, harsh beauty standards that male pop artists at least can probably evade, a grueling workload, less creative and personal freedom in general, etc. It's one thing to be BTS and another thing to be anyone else. Even Exo are all leaving SM and they're at the top of the industry. The pop industry is also exploitative, full of controlling executives, and ugly inside out, but I'd be willing to bet it gives artists more opportunities in the future. Music wise, I'd rather be an idol, and agree that the bond idols and fans share is much more interesting than what Western artists and their fans have, but I doubt that, as far as personal happiness and fulfillment go, being an American artist, pop or not, is less fulfilling than being an idol. Plenty of American artists have really solid fanbases and It opens a lot more doors too.
I don't know, both industries suck for sure.
Thanks for the ask!

i was clipping my nails & i just remembered a story that made me very sensitive abt my my own nails ever since i was a kid haha
there is some gore to it so it is spooky month themed XD
i have those long nails where the nail bed goes all the way to the tip of the finger so that means any growth (the white free edge part) results in my nails sticking out like claws idk moving on...
bc of how it is, the very end of the nail bed is very exposed & be easily cut into. earlier this year, i was opening a box & i wasn't careful enough with where i placed my fingers so one of the corners wedged itself between my right ring finger nail & i bled a significant amount & i could've sworn if i had truly panicked & yanked my hand the wrong direction, half of the nail would be ripped off the flesh (that may have been dramatic but this is my post)
>>ANYWAY, that was just exposition just in case any of you friends don't know what it's like to have something like that because that is a key detail in this story
for some reason my teacher genuinely did not believe that such nails exist (in fairness, at 8yrs old, i have also yet to know anyone else with genetically long nails like mine, so i took her word for it), telling us that it is very unsanitary, unprofessional, & akin to school delinquents to have long nails so she insisted to clip my nails for me
after not only humiliating me amongst my other 8 yr old peers, i also had to stay after the class. she pulled out an assortment of nail clippers & nail files from her purse. & immediately grabs & manhandles my little childish fingers
starting with my right hand, she starts digging the nail clipper into my nail. shocked & ready to cry already, i told her that the nail clipper was too deep & tried to point out that it's gonna bleed while also trying to pull away but she just scoffed (or whatever you'd understand a "tch" as) & held me in a sort of headlock... it felt like i was a sheep being sheered
i wasn't sure what was scarier, the feeling of the large nail clipper being wedged between my nail & flesh that it might as well just pop the whole nail off or the top layer skin being actively cut & yet to bleed to signal to the teacher the she should stop
it took until the we're at the thumb until one of my finger tips are finally stained with blood to have her immediately stop. i was so relieved that it was over & that i still have time to suck up my tears before anyone noticed.
however to her, my fingers are only bleeding because i was moving a lot & making a fuss over nothing
about to move to the left hand, she gave me an opportunity to willingly give my hand without her needing to hold me still. me, being a powerless child, i quickly understood that i do not know how exactly to get out of this situation
so i very hesitantly laid my left hand onto her free hand which she then grabbed the fingers anyway ig because i was very obviously shaking. her grip gets stronger every time i so much as flinch
for some reason, this side hurts more & thinking back i think it's because earlier she was holding my wrist/fingers so tightly that i was kind of numb to the full pain
i had my eyes closed for the most part & heard her sweeping the table (to clean up the nail clippings). i didn't want to be hopeful that it was over like i was minutes ago but i stared at her movements for a few seconds to confirm that she was putting away her things.
standing from my seat, i was ready to run hoping that i could catch that one kid selling bandages but
"where do you have to be so quickly? sit first. i'm not done yet." (best translation i can do, sorry)
she taps the previously mentioned nail file. at this time of my life, i didn't know what those were so i had no idea what she was about to do with a foam stick covered in sandpaper
i had a more verbal reaction with this one. apparently i was being a "whiny, dirty, unkempt, spoiled brat" standing up for myself for not wanting someone to rub my wounds with sandpaper but tbh i think i was a more of a personal opinion
i managed to get out of this part of the manicure session by saying that recess was almost over & i was very hungry
i couldn't find that kid that sold bandages that day btw
thank you so much for joining me in my dramatic retelling of my childhood self's torture session <3

My brain is so weird for a number or reasons which I will provide in a comprehensive list for nobody but probably just me (and maybe a couple of you lovely mutuals who might like this post)
I call my brain Jeffery on account of that was the first name that popped into my head and it sounds a lot less weird to hear someone say goddamn it jeffery than to hear someone say goddamn it brain when they show up somewhere without the thing it was supposed to bring bc people just assume jeffery is a weird brother or roommate or boyfriend
Occasionally I'll refer to myself as we, even though it's just me in here. This one's probably a fucked up result of hearing too much that the pronouns they and them can only be plural. Or I'm talking about me and jeffery who does things I hate
I forget almost everything and hold very few memories. I'm like if a sifter was really bad at its job and just mostly had a bunch of holes and let most of the memories go
I get caught up on words a LOT when I'm a little too sleep deprived or caffeinated and I sound like a broken record. This is stuttering but it just sounds more like a glitch in the system most of the time
If I'm watching or reading something where people are deaf and/or nonverbal, then I become nonverbal for no reason. This has happened to my mother also, but only once.
Sometimes jeffery says things like "what if your candle knocked over and set all your books and your carpet and the dog bed on fire. Oh also what if your dog died then I bet you life would be pretty empty huh. Not a lot of joy without that dog. Kinda sad really. You've got friends but damn you'd be a mess without that dong, even though she's bumpy right now." And then he continues on ranting all the time and saying things like that and "what if all those races just fell from that top shelf and killed you and your family" or "you should totally stab that kid in the eye with that colored pencil if he keeps talking shit" These things are never helpful.
Statements like the previous also can make me sad, especially the blockbuster hit " all your friends are going to get kidnapped and killed and you'll have nobody in this world except your dog who's probably gonna die in the next few years. But that won't matter anyway bc by then the US government probably will have found new ways to outlaw and commit genocide against the transgender community and you'll probably be dead." These fun thoughts are not good or fun actually and they make me hate jeffery a lot
Jeffrey is also great sometimes bc he just holds patterns and numbers and math up in there and lets almost none of it go. Except division. He yeeted division out of there faster than you can say mitosis.
Jeffery is also good bc he lets me art without stuttering or ticcing most of the time and when we do something fun and good like making a little bag or solving a puzzle, jeffery thinks only in terms of that fun thing for a few days following
Jeffery also sucks bc I won't be able to feel half my hand and then it's fine but then it hurts in a buzzy/tingly kind of way whenever you tough it or move it and finally it just stays completely buzzy and fades slowly over the next few minutes. I don't know what this is
There's more butd I'm too tired

wanted to pop by just to say that
you may not know what sort of environment they were raised in or what access to education they had
is the most important thing i learned in dismantling my own classist behavior i didn’t even know i was taking part in when i got to uni.
like i used to get so frustrated with people in lectures for saying things/ sharing opinions about readings because i viewed them as perpetuating harmful stereotypes. and then i’d complain about the things i heard in class to friends.
now if i hear something that i think could be harmful, i bring it up directly to the person and 9 times out of 10 the person had no idea what they said could be interpreted in a negative way/ had no clue that certain words shouldn’t be said.
and it’s been huge for me because:
I get to have productive conversations with people from completely different backgrounds and learn about why it’s not always a good thing to assume intent over ignorance.
have been able to recognize some of my own hurtful thought patterns and work against them
People are generally very happy these things have been pointed out in private settings with a focus on learning rather than shame.
yeah it's just one of those things where like. it can be so exhausting + frustrating to hear harmful rhetoric echoed by people around u, and a lot of times the natural response is to get defensive + assume the worst + just like...get really angry + frustrated with them for perpetuating harmful shit. and like--that's a natural response, and it sucks bc they usually are perpetuating harmful shit, and it's just not always possible to sit down with someone who is saying something hurtful and talk it through. it's exhausting to have to explain to people over and over again why they should treat u like a human being.
but learning to differentiate between hate versus ignorance is important because being open to having these conversations (when we have the energy, the time, the safety to do so, etc) is really the only way to fight ignorance + misinformation. like, if a person is misinformed, the only solution to that problem is to inform them.
and honestly i've found this to be an important perspective shift in my own life as well. i think so often the most hateful voices are the ones that get blasted, and it's easy to forget that most regular people are just trying their best to navigate the world and want to treat others kindly if given the opportunity. and it can be really disheartening to feel like there are so many hateful people out there in the world, but if ur able to actually start talking to those in ur community + find that they're actually willing to learn and they don't intend or want to perpetuate harm, then it feels like--okay, so maybe this isn't entirely insurmountable, and i can actually make a difference in my own life + the lives of the people around me. and it also helps u understand where all the misinformation is coming from in the first place, which is important for then taking on larger structural issues.

opla thots through eppie 5 so my brain don't explode:
i'm actually very pleasantly surprised. largely the stuff that is bad is stuff i expected and a lot of things are much better than i expected so like helleth yes we win
kobyyyyyyy perfect 100% i get why they're tying the marines in more for story purposes and idc honestly bc i get to see koby
helmeppo also good tho i could have done without seeing his full cheeks
as a fan there are a lot of small moments that really don't impact the overall story much but i did miss. like toppling the morgan statue. or sanji being present for the mihawk fight to see that devotion to a dream that motivates him to get on the sea. or the catboy being changed to a catgirl that one made me mad. but again does not affect the overall thing so w/e.
casting is so stupid spot on perfect and i've been saying that the whole time but good lord every new character is so insanely good
that said. they really desexied benn beckman. rip king.
why are luffy and usopp the only characters allowed to be fun. where is weird fun hardass grandpa garp. where is any major zoro dumbass moment. he's had a few but we can do better. oh my god i just realized jango wasn't here WHERE IS HE FUCK YOU. THE MENTION OF MIRRORBALL ISLAND IS NOT ENOUGH.
they did largely forget one piece is a comedy which i literally voiced as a worry out loud with my human mouth like an hour before i started watching. pain.
the design is largely extremely good. the costumes fuck every single time. cgi looks better than expected so i'm pretty pleased.
that said. the fishmen look like fucking dogshit i cannot take them seriously. i appreciate that they're using practical effects but my god they're so so so bad just for the fishmen.
on the other hand. enamored with the dendenmushi. they're real and they're vile and i want one soooooo bad
impressed that luffy's fx don't look way worse the only one i think looks bad is balloon and that's. tough.
kuro was very good what a little freak
buggy was. fine. i didn't love him like everyone else seems too i just think they took him in the wrong direction a touch
mihawk looks so good but i hate his accent he sounds bizarre to me
lotta brits in here i was not expecting. not the worst but like. huh.
i keep seeing folks in the tag praising the colors and how it's not dark and muddy and i don't think we were watching the same show. the clothes pop and sometimes they'll light a scene but any scene in the dark even a little bit is so washed out and bad looking it's got that netflix stank all over it like most of the circus tent and garp's ship and the final syrup village fight are dark jumbles
also why did we need two goddamn episodes for syrup village. that seems excessive. i feel like they could have cut things differently and ended up with more time for like. actual adaptation stuff.
zoro crying on the dock was so perfect no notes iconic moment
i did tear up when sanji first appeared so. there is that.
also when zoro one handed lifts that big safe. okay king!
zoro is too smart also in ways that he shouldn't be it's bothering me so much. like when he translates usopp's big wordy bullshit he does not know what those words meannnnn
that said. which way is port. it's to the left. ah okay. stands there and does nothing because he doesn't know which way left is either. also gets lost on his way to a house that's ten feet away and visible. more of this we need more of this so bad.
easter eggs so good so fun. cavendish wanted poster. island of weird animals in the end credits. certainly more i didn't catch. mwah we love it.
dialogue sucks shit also the worst element of the show is by far the writing where like the plot is fine the way they rearranged things doesn't bother me if i wanted the exact story in order i'd read it again but the actual lines they write are mostly so stupid bad and generic. every so often they hit on a good one but it's generally lifted straight from the manga.
they didn't even get gold roger's speech right. he didn't say he left it all in one piece. that's the fucking. it's the whole thing of it innit.
oh i need to mention cabaji specifically weird they gave him so much focus and backstory but he looked PERFECT i was hollering
i miss reggie tho
usopp asking a gay man and an aroace man if they think a girl likes him. they do not know bro.
also i love every shipper being like WE WON listen man i'm a shipper too and the only folks who won were the usokaya hets out there everything else is just as canon as it's always been (read: not even a little bit lmao)
now that said. opla usolu is Something which is wild bc i have never once been on this train but it hits different. not enough to make me abandon aroace luffy but still.
okay one more thing. zoro being in the stocks for 0.5 seconds to keep his job that he abandons immediately anyway instead of being there for weeks in exchange for the safety of a little girl sucks. it takes away so much of his character and feels like such a critical misstep to me but i'm also the zoro guy so idk.
anyway. overall very excited to finish the season and hoping we get more. it's surpassed my (admittedly low) expectations despite my issues with it and it's worth sticking with for sure.

Scrooge x Cornelius (oc) rant
I love thinking about Cornelius's romance with Scrooge and how cute it is. Man fell in love with Scrooge when they were teen/young adults, but put off his feelings out of fear and, for Isabel's sake. But after shit hit the fan and Scrooge was a single man again, he rejected him bc of how much he had changed. So he quite literally went, "fuck you and fuck this I'm outta here!" And left to become a writer.
And he was successful! He became one of the most well-known romance writers London had ever seen! He traveled, learning new languages so he could expand his art. He was a player, dated women and men alike in droves. But as he got older, he wanted to settle down (not bc he was worried about what people would think of him/sar) But out of panic and stupidity he cheated on his fiancé, told her and she quickly called off their engagement. He became a heavy alcoholic but bounced back from that as time passed.
And then! After years, Neil, in his early 60's decides "I'm tired of having no real roots, I'm going to move back to London." So he hops on over after Scrooge's redemption bc he has to do a book signing but also to look at his housing options. Scrooge magically spots him in the shop, pops in to say hi, and Neil is like, "bro tf why are you being so nice?" So he meets up with him later and roasts this man for his past shitty behavior only to not get the reaction he hoped/expected so he decides "fine, I'll give you a chance but if you fuck up I'm out." AND HE DOES!! They meet up for coffee, lunch, dinner, and drinks. He even shows up to his home for the Christmas party, to which he's really warmed up to Scrooge, happy to see him acting like his old self. Scrooge offers him a place to stay bc the housing market is atrocious, and it'd be nice to have a familiar and comforting face to see when he returned home. Cornelius finally gives in and picks one of the guest rooms to officially live in.
Over time Scrooge has been reading some of his books on his down time and starts to notice a pattern and confronts him about it to which Cornelius calmly admits that yes, most of his romance novels are based on his real relationships and he has changed the sexes of some characters so the book would sell. He happily admits his sexuality, claiming he has no shame in who he is, and if Scrooge has a problem, he can suck it. Scrooge is impressed, moved by his bravery and assurance of himself. Time passes as they get closer and closer, that old love sparking is Neil's heart despite his hesitancy. He doesn't feel he is worthy of love, especially by Scrooge, who, in his mind, was a better man than he. But he can't hide from his feelings forever. He watches Scrooge, assessing him and his standing with Neil. He feels like perhaps he shares his affections, and after a night of accidental kisses, he expected Scrooge to confess. But he didn’t so he gave him an ultimatum. Either he admits his feelings or Neil leaves. He won't stand to hide his feedings for the someone he loves while living in their home. Not again. Scrooge is cornered and admits his feelings, leaving Cornelius overjoyed! And so they start dating, the only person who knows being the maid they had hired. They pay her well so she says nothing, especially since it's not her buisness.
Cornelius still travels, just not as often because he misses Scrooge's company and vice-versa. He admits he wishes he were a woman so that they could have a family and that they could be openly affectionate without fear of being arrested or assaulted. But he puts those thoughts out of his mind as best as possible, enjoying every moment he can with Scrooge, locking away memories and affections for safe keeping.

Cinema Studies Minor Gets Super Into Analyzing K-Pop Videos 1.0
the thing I love the most ab san's performance video is how the cinematography and editing are WAY more focused on helping to tell a story than filming the actual dance. bc yes ofc, they do film the dance and do very well in that aspect; matches on action, "straight-on" angles during dance breaks, matching up camera movement with the choreography and music. HOWEVER. as soon as they pulled out the 8fps it was OVER for the cinephile inside of me. so let me rant more about how fucking amazing the production and editing crew did. I need to have their names so I can consume everything they've ever done btw. KQ. hand them over. NOW!
disclaimer: I am but a second year cinema studies minor. I can and probably be wrong.
So what I got from the pv is that it's San's rise to where he is now. They use costuming to represent that change, and like. so much more. This is hella disjointed. im sorry.
1: CINEMATOGRAPHY
FRAME RATE & ASPECT RATIOS: They did the thing. the THINGG. the lowering the capture rate to 8fps and in-program it was the regular one so it made it look hazy and streaky as san moved backwards. PLUS! changing the aspect ratio into the more cinematic 2.35:1 from the usual 16:9 we get.
This gives us the chaotic effect of being pushed around with no goals.
WIDE. ANGLE. LENS: It's how you get the warped at the edges look, and extreme wide angle would be a fisheye, so you see that effect to a lesser degree when my guy is on the ground n stuff.
the distortion makes the scene smaller and almost claustrophobic. you have no choice but to confront the way San contorts in the center
CAMERA RIGS: Steadicam/ similar technology to get those "off the tripod" shots and into the dance itself, which adds to the immersion and in general is a good way to get the audience involved, especially in choreography. They use them all the time on music shows to get in the idol's faces while still having the stability of a tripod.
Different from Handheld which is also used in this, in the scene where San is standing back to the camera and the camera is close to the ground before moving up, that shakiness is a hallmark of hand held camerawork.
Adds to the chaos to the scene, and makes it tension-filled as you have no clue what's going on.
BOLT arm: K-pop since like 2020 has been IN LOVE with this camera rig. It's basically a crane that follows a pre-programed path for the camera to follow. This is how we got the really smooth, quick movements from one side of the set to the other. It's mostly to emphasize dance moves, along with get a good high-angle to see the entire choreo.
ANGLES: Low angle on San's face? GENIUS I tell you. The power you felt, bc low angles are commonly used to display power or the rise to it. and we get a San close-up from a low angle TWICE! Also the long angles to show off the chores, combined with a high-angle, like. MWAH perfecto!
2: EDITING
SPEEDRAMPING/ SLO-MO: Basically changing the speed slightly in a very short time frame to emphasize a movement. This is SOO notorious in atz mvs and is used here again, to emphasize movement and also to slow down the building of tension. It gives us a small little break.
KEYFRAMING: Used w/ the BOLT rig im pretty sure. There is just some movement that's a little.. odd? for a BOLT rig in what I've seen so I think the editor(s) went back and key-framed it to get the movement they wanted. But I'm unsure so.
MOTION BLUR: This was to make transitions between cuts smoother. All the "whip pans" and motion blur are edited in. This was most likely to save filming time bc this was mostly likely filmed in a day, or a few hours. My favorite was the kick, bc it was fun and gave the sense he knocked the camera off, but if you go frame by frame it's artificial, sadly. BUT! it gives the same effect so...
COLOR GRADING: I need to suck off the editor (s) SORRY! like over all but what caught my eye the most was the use of color and whoever color graded this NEEDS to have a successful career. NOW! Starting off obv w/ the black and white? symbolizing the past and need to fight? HELL YEAH
then we move into the STUNNNIG saturation choices and HIGH CONTRAST of the rest of it LIKE AHHHH even the lighting contributes bc of how harsh it is, emphasizing the areas of dark and light. just *chefs kiss*. but slap on how de-saturated it is? like it's a DRAMA fr, but not so bad that the dancers and san blend in, bc their skin pops too, but in the backgrounds are either distant or darkened to give focus to them.
RHYTHMIC EDTING: Basically editing to follow a rhythm/ movement. BEAUTIFUL matches on action, esp when moving from a closeup to long shot or vice versa.
3: MIS EN SCENE
COSTUMING: The chains... tHE CHAINS! and how the demin jacket got replaced by the demin, ripped pants. YOU CANNOT CONTAIN HIM!!!
LIGHTING: The lighting was very harsh throughout, but I especially wanna bring attention to the strobing lights at the dance break at the end BC the way the emphasizes the speed and chaos of the movements like YEAH.
Also the red lighting on San? I died. it was just so good.
SETS: Not much here bc it's either dark or the traditional building in the background. BUT! the floor being tiled and the structure, reminded me of gladiator rings. so there's that

I can do a solely gameplay based review of raincode right now since I’m in chapter 4 (of 5)
Under tha cut long and rambly and story spoiler free
I will start with the positives(ish)
The setting is cool the exploration in most of kanai ward is fun and feels fresh throughout the game bc they give you new stuff to explore and look at. The environment also changes as the story proceeds which I like. The main issue is that most of the different districts feel empty past kamasaki.
That’s it that’s the gameplay pros. Here are the cons:
The main issue with raincode is that it isn’t fun to play.
What really detracts from the experience is the loading screens. Raincode runs like the sims for some reason. Every section of gameplay, every short cut scene, every time you change areas you are met with a loading screen, some only take a few seconds but most take 30 sec to a minute and a half. I’m playing on switch so maybe it’s just bc the switch can’t handle this but even still.
The billion super long cut scenes ruin the pacing of the game, especially bc the really long loading screens pop up right when an important plot point happens.
So that’s my number one issue with gameplay but not the only one
My next biggest issue is the qte’s
This is the qte video game, I’m surprised supermassive didn’t make it. Almost all of the mini games are based solely upon qte’s, when literally anything else would have been better. The lack of diversity in the gameplay during the actual gameplay portions, horrid. There are so many sections where I was thinking that it should have been story or investigation or honestly a little bit of platforming or shooting might be fun and a cute callback to udg or worlds end club, but no, you get a qte or an even more boring version of the hangman’s gambit.
This leads into what is partial a story issue: the puzzles are so fucking easy. Every single time it’s the obvious answer (which means the answer to the ~mystery~ is obvious as well, but I’ll get into that when I actually finish the game) it’s no fun bc after you finish the first chapter and you figure out how things are going to go for the rest of the chapters you don’t feel compelled to keep playing bc the answer is right there.
The whole mystery labyrinth area (raincodes answer to the class trial in danganronpa) sucks, outside of the physical locations for parts of it. It is mostly running in a straight line between loading screens and answers questions that you already knew like 20 min ago.
Another minor pet peeve of the gameplay is there is no run button, either yumas in a hurry or he isn’t, you can’t rush him.
So those are my major gameplay qualms for raincode, (there’s more but they tie into the story and characters) I have thoughts on the story and characters, (negative ones) but I’ll wait till I actually finish the game before passing final judgment.

havin a cool fun sexy time at work this week /s
#the cool thing abt this job is thet i can let myself b very autistic amd theres like. not a problem#the less cool thing is that the store is getting its lights replaced and thats happening at night while i work#and the lifts and tools that the lighting crew is using are all very loud and bad to hear#and at least half the night the lights are all on the way they are when the store is open so everything is also v bright#can sort of keep myself cool by having my headphones in n music on but! were only allowed one so every time i leave an aisle#or see a manager coming#i have to pop one out which sucks bc those are the times i most need em bc out of the aisles is where its brightest and loudest#had the new manager reprimand me and then immediately ask me for help finding smth while there were 2 lifts just adjacent#w ppl on both of them playing their own music n i needed to be out for a min to toss my empty boxes and get more freight#so by the time i got back to a place i could put em both in i was beating my hands on the cart handle and couldnt move for a solid 30s#also would rlly love my chew stim but that is literally the worst possible stim to do during a fucking pandemic so :) guess ill die#like yes i know this is all for safety reasons but 1. i assure you i can still hear the power equipment thru my music#and 2 keeping these headphones in is literally the only thing allowing me to continue to function in any way#unless you think our fuckin efficiency that youre so worried abt stacie will benefit from me hiding in the dark under one of the shelves#last night she goes okay w a 1300-pc truck and 7 ppl it should take 7h13m to put it all up so theres no reason we cant finisj#okay but were starting 47 minutes late and we have 2 15m breaks and have to clean up before the store opens so.#anyway im tired and fighting a depressive episode and every day the world feels louder and brighter and harder to parse ✌#prsnl
