Stu/ Vampire! reader imagine

Just a quick hoaky little thing I wrote at like 2 A.M last night. It's cheesy as shit, but the scream movies are too so I figured I'd post it anyways.

“Oh, no fuck you. That’s so weird - no - NO WHAT GIRL WOULD THINK THAT”S HOT THAT’S JUST WEIRD”

Twilight played on Stu’s television screen as randy yelled and stu cuddled up next to you. The party had been going great, and now it was even better. Most of the loud annoying shit bags had either passed out or gone home which meant you could just chill out and get smoked while you watched some horror movies with your pals. You had just figured out randy had never seen twilight, so after halloween ended you’d played a little game of truth or dare. Whoever chickened out first got to pick the next movie. You’d dared randy to go sit in the basement alone for five minutes (no flashlights allowed), and after a long rant about “no one taking the threat seriously” he’d explained that the way he saw it, it was watch this horrible vampire movie or get turned into a blood eagle and hung up next to the wine cellar shelves. In other words, randy was a wimp.

Stu nestled his head into your hair and talked lazily to you.

“We should dress up as the vampire guy and the brunette chick for halloween”

You giggled.

“Then we’d have to finally come to a conclusion on who wears the pants in this relationship. Or we could both go as Edward. Auto - homo - romanticism.”

“And make Billy wear a wig and low rise skinny jeans. Accurately represent the love triangle. Billy’s the werewolf guy, im the vampire, and you’re Kristin Stewart.”

You laughed a little more than you should have at that. You weren’t sure when you were going to break it to him, but it was probably good to do it sooner than later. You liked him a lot, billy wasn't any different. You were pretty sure it was a horrible idea, but you were dead set on keeping the two little psychopaths around. They were interesting, that was all you needed in a guy.

“You want some beer?”

You shook your head.

“Bear makes me wanna gag, you know that. I might go get myself another bottle out of your parent’s monumentally huge stash. How much wine can two people and a teenager drink?”

“It’s more of a bragging rights thing. They’ve never touched it, I cant stand it, the only reason they have it is because they like feeling rich. They’re hoarders, just neat about it. It’s the same reason they bought this huge ass house, not that im complaining.”

You giggled and ran your fingers through his hair. You enjoyed that look on his face, he thought he was fooling you. It was in his eyes. He liked you, and he wanted to incorporate you into the plan, but billy had some reservations. You’d be able to work it out by the end of the night, you always were. If push came to shove, you could deal with the cops and the media. Another thing the movies got wrong - you loved being on TV.

Stu got up. And so did you.

“And honey?”

“Yeah?”

“Meet me in your room after you get the beer. We need to talk about something…..personal.”

He grinned. You loved him.

“Me and stu are going to restock on the ala - co - hol”

“Yeah - we’ll be right back WoooOOOOOOOOoooOO!”

The crowd in the living room roared and he stuck his hands out in front of him and started to walk to the garage, snickering to himself.

“Feel free to switch it, randy. I'm releasing you from your bonds, you’re free as a dove.”

He smiled and looked at you upside down from his spot on the couch.

“Im actually sort of invested in their relationship. I’ve gotten the set up, im ready to see the car crash and burn.”

A few “yeah!” “me too”s echoed around the room, you smiled. You’d get them to leave randy alone, he was alright.

“If you think this is going to turn out badly, wait until the one where bella goes into labor for half an hour.”

Randy’s face twisted in disgust, you giggled and flashed him a toothy grin.

“Jesus, you have to come down here and cover my eyes for me when that comes up - I could barely get through the video they showed us in 9th grade sex ed.”

You’d never understand how the guy could watch a girl get sawed in half groin to sternum on tv without batting an eye, but he got all blushy and grossed out whenever anybody said the word “pregnancy” around him.

You found yourself laughing at the situation you were in, that had happened a lot in the last few years. 300 years old and you were hanging out with two small time serial killers at a highschool party, watching a vampire romance movie that parodied you. This was really what it had come to. Doing whatever you felt like doing in an attempt to stave off the boredom that came with being immortal. Impartial to right or wrong, moral compass thrown out the window, you just liked to watch interesting things happen. If that was so wrong god wouldn't do it, god wouldn't do it and you wouldn’t be allowed to exist.

As soon as you’d gotten into stu’s room you drank some wine and then put the cork back in the bottle. His bed smelled nice, his bed smelled like him. You snuggled up in the sheets and waited. When he walked in the room the smell of coppery blood clung to him like he’d just taken a bath in it, you couldnt help but inhale. He layed down next to you and smiled. The only thing present in him was love, that was his motive. He didnt want to hurt you. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and snuggled up to him.

“What did you want to talk to me about, baby? Im not really in the mood for getting physical, sorry to disappoint.”

That was a lie. You could smell the arousal rolling off of him clear as he could smell the wine on your breath. You wondered if it was because of you or what he just came back from doing.

“That’s not what I meant when I said talk, you aren’t disappointing anybody. I need…’

You let out a breath and sat up. He followed suit.

“I need you to know a few things about me. I havent been completely honest with you, it’s nothing bad, im not breaking up with you, I just need you to stay calm and keep an open mind okay?”

He stopped touching you and looked you in the eyes.

“Nothing could make me leave. Nothing.”

You smiled and pretzeled your legs around his waist, running your fingers through his hair.

“That’s the first thing I wanted to tell you - I love you. “

He went stiff in your arms and turned to look you in the eyes. He looked shocked and his pupils were blown wide. You smiled at him and he smiled back.

“You mean it?”

“Why would I tell you that if I didnt mean it, dork?”

He grinned even wider and pulled you into a kiss. There was no tongue, it was short and sweet. You could smell his cologne and feel the heat from his body radiating onto yours. You wished everything could stay like this forever - hopefully after tonight that wish could come true. You could run away with both of them, find a nice place in new york where stu could party and go to concerts and billy could have his peace and quiet, maybe get a degree in forensics. Woodsboro was so, so small and the world was so large.

He pulled back from the kiss and you realized he’d pulled the knife out from under the sheet while your eyes were closed, you couldn't see it yet but it was laying on the bed behind his back. Better get it over with.

“I love you too. You dont know how long I’ve wanted to say that to you, you’re mine, the only girl ill ever fucking look at for the rest of my life. You’re amazing.”

His thumb ran over your jawline as he talked and his voice got softer as he went on. How are you supposed to do this?

“Where’s billy? “

Stu quirked an eyebrow.

“I dont know, probably off working out his relationship issues with sidney - today I think they’re trying physical therapy.”

“Ah, I’d have liked him to be here for the second thing.”

“There’s a second thi - oh, right.”

You sighed and crossed your legs.

“Im going to be blunt, if thats ok? I dont really know how to do this. Like I said, do not do anything rash, Im with you ‘till the end, you know that.”

His heart rate picked up a bit and he silently wondered if you’d figured him out. You laughed. No harm in telling him now.

“I’ve known about your extracurricular activity with billy for a while now.”

You could feel him pull back. Shit.

“Why haven't you called the cops then?”

His tone was suspicious, confused, scared. You wanted him to hold you.

“I dont give a shit. I’ve done worse, I promise. Just please don't breakup with me after this? I do, really, really like you.”

He nodded hesitantly and bit back a smile, inside you could tell he was over the moon that you weren’t trying to run away. Then came the thought. “Done worse?”

“Fuck. I guess the only word I can use, the only word that would make sense to you is…. Vampire, it sounds hoaky and it makes it less believable but ill have to work with it. Im a vampire, stu.”

He giggled and looked at the wine on the floor.

“I can never tell when you’re drunk. You just act completely normal and then you say weird shit.”

At least he wasnt angry.

“Want me to prove it to you?”

“Ooooh you gonna bite me?”

You opened your mouth and showed him your canines.

“Dont freak out, okay?”

With that, you let them drop down and form into longer, sharper versions of themselves. Stu’s eyes widened.

“What the hell?”

“Want me to do something else? I cant actually do that much, vampire’s in movies are way cooler than real ones, but I can read minds, talk to you in the headspace if you want me to. Think of something.”

He was stunned. You were starting to get worried.

“Darling?”

His mind was almost completely blank, almost like he was in shock, but slowly he began to take in what you’d told him. The more he thought about it, the more he realized this was cool. Like super, super cool. He’d already thought you were perfect before, now you were beyond.

‘Can you hear what im thinking right now?’

“Yeah, I can. You’re taking this well. “

He started to bounce up and down on the bed, full blown smile cracking across his face.

“Obviously - the girl Im in love with is just as much of a freak as I am!”

FIRSTLY i think u should 100% watch batman the animated series if u havent if u wanna get into batman specifically. .its SOOO good just on its own but its arguably the best batman media out there. btas my beloved.. <33 mask of the phantasm is also really good!!! its kinda like a prequelish movie for the show <3

and then comics:

batman: the long halloween + dark victory. very good kinda early batman story <3

robin: year one.

bruce wayne: murderer? + fugitive. not my FAVORITE really but its definitely good for batman character wise

batgirl (2000). this isnt a super big one for batman himself but its absolutely one of my faves

dc vs vampires. this one isnt finished yet but its really fun so far ! <3

batman: universe. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ONE PROBABLY IT IS JUST SO FUN AND EPIC <333333333

batman and robin (2011). this one truly rules its very good and i love it and all the annuals r SOOO good.

batman/superman (2019) . really fun just kinda silly one :*

secrets of sinister house (2019). specifically jsut the batman one. it is so good hes a vampire its everything... <33

Daddy namjoon showed oc a whole new world when he ate her out and I’m kind of jealous😔 I really love the plot and the character development for the oc and this was overall a good read!

-Another one of Amy’s work (top tier), that broke my heart into a million pieces. Honestly, I’ve read this series once, because of how good it is. Its sad, like I broke down a couple of times because of the two characters, kind of sad. That just shows you how amazing it is, that I can’t even reread it.

-I don’t know why but after I discovered this fic, I couldn’t stop thinking about this and the plot. Curtains are not really something we think about most at of the time but JK! I just want them to be happy😭 I can’t wait for more chapters to come!

The progression of their relationship was a whole roller coaster and at the end I was really happy for yoongi to be able to find his forever girl and be friends with crackheads.

-Beautiful writing and the story is immaculate *chef’s kiss* I think about this fic once a month and reread it multiple times. I love it and hate it at the same time because I just want them together and figure their shit together, especially in the recent chapter. The circumstances and emotions are relatable that I just wanna hug both of the characters 😔

-I’ve already recommended this before, meaning, this is really good. It follows jungkook as a single father with reader as his neighbor. “Bossy noodle,” you teased as you snuck your phone from your pocket to steal a picture of you kissing Loki’s cheek before you sat down to eat your dinner and drink your wine. Loki smiled and stole a kiss for you to take a picture of too. He enjoyed you taking pictures of the pair of you.

“Don’t post that pic or his army will revolt,” Stark teased.

You huffed and rolled your eyes. “Stark, I can’t post it, except to tumblr, the rest of social media thinks I’m dead, remember? Especially my family who needs to continue thinking I’m dead,” it was a miracle that they hadn’t believed yet that it was you hanging out with the Avengers. You figured that it was just that they knew you were dead that they didn’t question your doppelgänger. Either way, they hadn’t contacted the team asking about you and you tried not to be too much in the press. “And I’m not dumb enough to post it to tumblr and piss off his army,” you added quickly before anyone questioned you about your family. They couldn’t know you were alive. The vampires would kill them. Luckily, they lived outside the city, so you didn’t risk running into them.

“Has Lady Natasha gotten you a new identity yet?” Loki asked. You’d told him she was going to.

You nodded. “Yes, as Stark’s niece. It gives me an excuse for living here and working at Stark Industries,” you explained. Nat had been very thorough with your new identity. “But in all seriousness, if I go playing around too much on social media people might start figuring out who I am. It’s better if I don’t make a huge specticle of myself…” Before they could make a big deal about it you added. “Don’t worry about it, I’m perfectly happy keeping adorable pictures of the noodle to myself,”

“I like having you all to myself too, kitten,” Loki told you warmly and kissed your cheek.

You laughed. “You just don’t like other men looking at me,” you teased and stuck your tongue out at him while the others groaned at how adorable you were being.

Once dinner ended you used magic to summon clothes besides pajamas to wear, since pajamas are not outside clothes. “Where would you like to go, darling?” Loki asked you when you were dressed.

You looked over at him surprised. “Oh! I dont know. I assumed you had a plan. We could go get ice cream? No wait, you cant eat ice cream in public… um…”

“Are there any movies out that you would like to see?” he asked.

“We always go to the movies. You’ll be bored going to the movie theater again,” you reminded him. You checked the time and smirked. “I have an idea, but we’ll have to hurry… or not care if we’re there illegally after close…” Loki smirked at that last. He didn’t care one bit if you stayed wherever this was illegally after the place closed.

You took his hand and led the way, dragging him to a nearby zoo and grinned at him in delight when you dragged the poor confused god inside. “Behold, the creatures of Midgard!” you announced and beamed at him. He lit up in interest and you took his hand to lead him around and show him the animals in the zoo. He watched them in their enclosures in awe, though you saw him glance at you and seem relieved to see the smile on your face.

You did get concerned that he wasn’t having fun. These were pretty mundane creatures compared to things like bilgesnipe. Then you finally had an idea. “I know what you’ll like!” you told him brightly, trying so very hard to make sure he had fun too and dragged him into the snake house. “Lots of danger noodles!” you informed him brightly gesturing around to all the snakes in the snake house. Loki grinned in delight at all of the snakes and apparently decided to turn into one in solidarity, because the next instant there was a snake where your boyfriend had been. “Silly noodle,” you teased as you knelt to pet the snakes’s head. He slithered up your arm, resting across your shoulders, his tail wrapped around your arm. You giggled and carried him around the snake house so he could say hi to all of the other snakes. Some he stuck his tongue out at, some he hissed at, but he greeted every single snake in the snake house and seemed happy at doing in.

He eventually got bored and slithered back down to the floor to turn back into himself. At least you thought he was going to turn into himself. Instead, he was a gorgeous raven-haired lady instead. You knew Loki was genderfluid, you just hadn’t seen the evidence of it before. Loki was shy and reserved and Lady Loki was no different. Worse, she was scared that you would take it poorly. You could see it in her guarded expression, in her body language that was hunched in on herself nervously. You had to admit you were surprised since she hadn’t warned you, but you had accepted this part of your Loki without even having seen it. You gave her a bright smile and hugged her, leaning up to kiss her cheek. You took her hand. “C’mon, Lokes! I wanna see the big meows!” you told her brightly as if absolutely nothing had changed.

You saw Loki relax and light up in delight that you had accepted her just like that. It warmed your heart to see your gorgeous Lady Loki so happy. You wrapped your arms around one of hers adorably and dragged her over to the cat-house. You didn’t think about it as you stepped inside the dim building and didn’t even notice that your eyes started glowing when you stepped inside. You were too busy cooing over the cats.

Loki, however, noticed and leaned down to whisper in your ear. “Your eyes are glowing, sweetheart.” She gave you a warm, loving smile, adoration in her eyes.

“Oh, shit. Sorry!” you told her quickly and waved your hand in front of your eyes to put the illusions back over your eyes to hide them from the mortals.

“No need to apologize, little one,” Lady Loki purred affectionately in your ear. “Your eyes are quite beautiful when they glow, though they and you always are,”

You blushed at the compliment, but rolled your eyes. You didn’t quite believe her since she wouldn’t have pointed out that your eyes were glowing if she was speaking the truth. “You’re an incorrigible flatterer even as a woman,” you informed Loki before you slowly, tentatively kissed her. You were unsure if your kisses would be welcome with Loki in this form.

Loki pulled you into a deep kiss, reassuring you that she wanted to kiss you just as much in this form as her other. “You are just too beautiful for words, kitten,” she told you warmly when she finally ended the kiss.

“Hardly in comparison to you, lady love,” you purred in reply and stole another kiss before you returned to cooing over the cats, Loki’s hand in yours. She seemed more interested in watching your interaction with the cats than with the giant cats themselves.

You pouted when the announcement came throughout the zoo that it was closing. “They don’t stay open much past dark,” you explained to Loki as you wandered with her back to the entrance. You didn’t feel like staying here illegally tonight. Maybe another night. Loki was a bad influence on you on certain things. “So I haven’t been to a zoo in years,” you told her as you walked.

“Then I am glad we could come now,” Loki told you warmly in reply.

“You had fun? I mean, I’m sure the creatures on Asgard are more interesting…” you asked worried that your dully Midgardian creatures would be boring to the god who had studied so much over her long life.

“I did have fun. Midgardian animals are not at all similar to those on Asgard,” Loki reassured you and sounded like she really was telling the truth. She did tend to avoid lying to you.

“Good!” you replied brightly and swung your clasped hands as you walked back to the tower. You did pause outside the tower when you made it back. “I don’t mind, and I love and support you no matter what you decide to do, but do you want to face the others in this form?” you asked Loki tentatively. You weren’t sure the rest of the team would be as accepting of Loki as you were. “I’ll kick their asses if they’re mean to you!” you added quickly, though you weren’t exactly in the shape to carry out that promise.

“It’s alright, darling. I don’t care what the rest of the team says or thinks. The only person whose opinion I care about is you,” she told you and gave you a soft sweet kiss.

“I’ll still kick their assess if they’re mean,” you offered after the kiss as you headed inside with your Loki.

“The kitten has claws,” she laughed and you couldn’t help lighting up at the melodic sound.

“I dont like them making you sad,” you replied firmly, punching the button for the common room floor a little harder than you needed.

“I’ll be alright, kitten,” she told you warmly. The elevator doors opened onto the living room and the rest of the team. They looked over automatically to welcome you home, but their mouths all fell open in surprise when they saw Loki.

Except Thor. Loki’s wonderful oaf of a brother just sauntered right over and kissed each of you on the hand in turn, because that’s just how ladies on Asgard were greeted. You could’ve kissed him for his open acceptance. The others would follow his lead. Loki gave her brother a small smile and spared a glance for the rest of the team, who were still all surprised. “What?” she asked innocently.

Nat grinned as she, and most of the others, jumped from surprise to shrugs of acceptance. Stark looked like he wanted to make a sarcastic comment, but Nat spoke up first before he could get himself defenestrated. “Some of the girls are coming over for ladies’ night tonight. I didn’t invite you two because sestricka is about as ungirly as anyone can get, but its margaritas, stupid girly movies, too much junk food, and nail polish if you want to join us?” Nat offered the pair of you with an accepting smile for Loki. You would have argued, but you were about the ungirliest girl ever. And spent most of your time working as a grease monkey/engineer in Tony’s lab.

Loki considered the invitation and seemed touched that she was even invited. “It sounds like fun,” she turned to you, knowing that it probably wasn’t your idea of a fun time. “How do you feel about it, sweetheart?” she asked you. She’d give up her fun for your comfort and you knew it.

You shrugged. “Could be fun,” you answered. You were willing to give it a shot. You gave Stark a glare, seeing the sarcastic comment on the tip of his tongue. You didn’t want him to make your Loki sad.

“Great! We’ll be taking over the living room at 7!” Nat told you both kindly.

Stark couldn’t hold it in anymore and opened his mouth to say something stupid. You turned, making a quick movement with your wrist in the same movement and your very unassuming watch turned into a repulsor on her palm, charged with its usual obvious sound and pointed at Stark. “I would highly reconsider whatever you’re going to say,” you warned him while everyone just stared that you had a repulser at all, much less one this high tech. Even Stark’s emergency repulsers weren’t this nice.

Loki just laughed and gave you a proud look. “I think he gets the picture, kitten,” she told you kindly, amused at your defense of her.

You looked over at her. “Are you sure?” you asked innocently.

Loki gave Stark a wicked smile, which looked somehow even more wicked on her female face. “If he tries to say anything, you are quite welcome to shoot him, but until then, we’re fine,”

You gave her a bright smile and leaned up to kiss Loki’s cheek. You shook your hand and the repulser turned back into a watch. “When did you make that?” Stark finally asked, shaking himself out of his stupor to come up with the question. He was as surprised as everyone else when you suddenly had tech for yourself. “And why is it nicer than mine?!” he demanded after he rushed over to taken your hand to investigate the tech and its construction.

You shrugged and let Stark look, though you realized quickly that he was touching you longer than your overprotective Loki would be comfortably with. “Made it a couple days ago when I was in the lab,” you replied a bit sheepishly. You weren’t forbidden from making weapons for yourself, but you usually made stuff for the team..

Loki moved to stand closer to you, glaring at Stark to remove his hands from you. Stark completely ignored her, his entire focus on the piece of tech on your wrist and asking questions about it as he manipulated it to transform again. Your wrist and hand remained firmly clasped in Stark’s callused grip. Loki summoned a dagger in one smooth movement. “Stark, I would remove your hands now before I sever them,” she told Stark dryly and too calmly.

Stark just looked at Loki confused. “What are you talking about, reindeer games?” he asked, apparently over Loki being female.

Loki got even more aggravated. “Let my little vampire go, Stark,” she growled, sounding even more menacing.

Stark made a disgusted face but dropped your hand quickly. “Seriously? She’s a kid, like I’d even be interested…” Stark growled. Loki just smirked at Stark and vanished the dagger from her hand. Stark grumbled something unflattering about overprotective aliens who fancied themselves to be gods. You wisely removed the unassuming watch and handed it to Stark so he could examine it without getting his hands sliced off.

You plopped down on the couch with one of the video game controllers. “Anyone fancy a game?” you asked, teasing as Loki sat next to you on the couch. He wanted to enjoy watching whoever challenged you get pummeled. Thor was the first to rise to the challenge as long as he could play as the thunder-mouse. You grinned and set up the fighting game. You let the poor oaf think he stood a chance before completely trouncing him. More people jumped in and out of the game each round, finding fun in the stupid silly fighting game.

Clint stuck his tongue out at you when you continued to win. “How are you so good at this?” he whined.

You laughed “It was the only thing my little sister and I could agree on. We’ve been playing this stupid game since the N64…” you explained. Seriously, it was the only thing you and Bree had everbeen able to agree on.

“Shouldn’t you be resting, little one?” Loki asked when you’d killed her brother in the game for about the hundredth time. Thor was persistent, even if he did suck at the game.

“I slept all day and I am resting,” you protested with a whine. “Kicking your brother’s ass at video games isn’t strenuous at all!~” you reminded her, still whining while Thor laughed at your ability to defeat him in such a spectacular manner.

Loki giggled “If you say so, darling. Have you had any blood today?” she continued to pester and mother-he.

You rolled your eyes. “Yes, I had that mug before I introduced you to your army,” you reminded her. “Overprotective noodle,” you grumbled under your breath.

“Feisty kitten,”

“Can I go back to beating up your brother now?” you teased while Thor protested that he’d win.

“By all means, my love,”

You grinned in reply and proceeded to crush Thor. Multiple times. Until the pizza arrived. Nat was about to automatically tell Loki to go get it. She usually did, since she was amused by watching him deal with the delivery guys. She smirked at Loki though. “You’re excused from the manly job of carrying things,” she teased Loki, her tone making it clear that her teasing was friendly and in no way malicious. Loki could accept teasing from the team as long as they weren’t teasing maliciously. “Thor! Go get the pizzas!” Nat ordered instead. Loki giggled in delight at the fact that Thor was forced to go get the pizzas instead.

Thor grumbled, but goodnaturedly went to collect the pizzas. He returned with not only pizza, but accompanied by ladies with even more snack foods. Pepper has arrived with the margaritas, Jane and Darcy had junk food, Maria Hill brought even more booze. And the boys somehow find themselves kicked out of the living room. Thor kept trying to avoid getting kicked out by making out with Jane.

Unfortunately he did this right in front of Loki, who waved her hand and Thor vanished up to his room, where he was banished for the night. “Now, what shall we start with?” she asked pleasantly while Jane ineffectively spluttered that Loki made her boyfriend vanish.

“Who’s the new witch?” Darcy asked a bit densely with an approving smirk at Loki. The pizzas and a selection of DVDs were set out while Loki smirked at how oblivious Darcy was.

“That’s Loki, Darce,” Jane told her grumpily. She was still upset that Loki sent Thor away. She got over it quickly, though when she pulled a bottle of alcohol from her bag. “Thor gave me this for our evening,” she told you all, holding up the bottle of Asgardian booze to the cheers from the others as glasses of the stuff are poured and passed around.

Loki grabbed the glass from your reach before Jane handed it to you. “Be careful. This stuff is not meant for mortals,” she warned you firmly. Her tone was worried.

“She’s not mortal, Loki,” Nat reminded her gently. “Stop being so overprotective. We dont even know if she canget drunk. And if she does, she’s safe with us,” Nat reminded Loki reasonably. It wouldn’t do to have Loki make you be a prude. Loki sighed, conceding to Nat’s point and handed you the glass with a reminder to pleasebe careful.

You nodded and took the glass, sipping on it carefully through the evening. They started a movie, and it wasn’t the typical chick flick that you were expecting. Instead, it was a superhero movie with a female lead. The pizza was devoured and the nail polish came out. Somehow Loki ended up on the floor in front of your couch with you brushing out her long hair while Nat painted her nails jet black. You sat around with them gossiping about the boys on the team and other various silly topics. It was nice just to be accepted, and even nicer that they accepted Loki just as easily. Loki admired Nat’s work on her nails and seemed so very happy to be accepted by this odd group of women.

At one point during the evening, Darcy told Loki the story of tasing Thor while you contentedly brushed out Loki’s hair. You knew how much Loki loved having her hair played with usually. You figured that she would like it even better now that it was longer. Loki purred softly at the brush moving through her hair and laughed in absolute delight at the story of her brother getting tased. “And Jane hit him with her car! Twice!” Darcy added at the end of her story. She was having fun getting Loki to laugh.

Loki just started laughing harder. “My brother always gets himself into the worst situations,” she said between spurts of laughter.

“Though I have to admit he’s hot as hell. And his hammer,” Darch laughed at Jane’s horrified expression.

“HOW?!” Jane demanded angrily, wondering how Darcy had even seen that piece of Thor’s anatomy.

Darcy laughed at Jane’s indignant spluttering. “Your boyfriend has no shame and trapses around our apartment in nothing but his birthday suit. Not my fault!” Darcy protested. “And he’s a god if he’s traipsing around nude it would just be rudenot to appreciate the view,” she added conspiratorially.

There may have been quite a bit of booze consumed at that point of the evening.

Loki cringed at where the conversation was going. She didn’t want to hear anything about her brother’s ‘hammer’. Darcy laughed at Loki’s expression and drunkenly decided to make it even worse. “So, vampirina, what about that boyfriend of yours, surely he’s well endowed,” she teased, trying to make you blush, or come to Loki’s defense, or possibly make Loki blush. She was too drunk to tell properly.

You laughed and covered Loki’s ears with your hands. You knew it was completely ineffective and Loki could easily hear through your hands, but it was funny to the others to pretend she couldn’t. “A lady does not kiss and tell,” you told Darcy, while Loki pretended that she couldn’t hear a thing. She was shy, though, and didn’t want your activities aired in front of the others, especially this group that she didn’t know particularly well. Being seen making out around the tower was one thing, airing more private information than that wasn’t something she was comfortable with.

/Don’t worry, I’m not stupid enough to tell them anything/ you reassured your Loki and went back to the pleasant activity of brushing her hair, ignoring the boos from Darcy that you wouldn’t tell her anything about Loki.

You leaned down to whisper in Loki’s ear. “Are you going to be upset if I braid your hair? You can tell me not to, I won’t be offended,” you promised quickly. You knew how Loki was with her hair.

Loki smiled warmly up at you. “Do as you please. I don’t mind,” she told you warmly. You smiled in return, kissed Loki’s cheek, and began to carefully braid her hair.

Quite a few hours, multiple movies, too much junk food, and way too much booze passed and you ended up all quite drunk and happily passed out on the couches and cushions around the living room. You were curled on your usual couch with your Loki, protectively held in her arms. You were too giggly and kept stealing kisses from your love. In short, you had come to the conclusion that you could, in fact, become drunk.

Unfortunately, you were extremely drunk by the time you came to this conclusion.

Loki chuckled and gave you a softly, sleepy kiss. “Rest, little one,” she told you warmly, holding you securely in her arms and it wasn’t long before the amount of booze had you happily sleeping in your Loki’s arms.

It was much too early when the menfolk came stomping into the room. They could manage to be all quiet and stealthy on missions, but managed to stomp like a herd of elephants when trying to sneak past a room of hungover women.

Loki opened her eyes to glare at the annoying men, curling herself better around you as she closed her eyes again to try to sleep off the hangover. You mewed softly and hid your face against Loki, covering your ears with a whimper. Nat and Maria both drew their guns at the loud men out of reflex. They also appeared to have done this without bothering to open their eyes. Loki tried to soothe you, but the idiot men wouldn’t stop being clumsy and making noise.

Nat actually got off her couch and stormed to the herd of loud men. “Shut. Up.” She snarled firmly, leaving no room for question before she killed them all. “The tiny vampire is hung over for probably the first time ever. If you lot make her cry, there is nothing on god’s green earth to stop Loki from killing you where you stand. And she would take absolute delight in it. So shut up,” Nat snarled.

Loki gave her a grateful smile. “You should listen to Lady Natasha. If my kitten whines from a headache because of your noise, you will not like what happens,” she threatened while you mewed in her arms.

The menfolk all rushed to promise to be quiet and somehow ended up making even more noise on their way to the kitchen and still more while they attempted to make breakfast. You tried not to whimper or whine in order to save their lives. But you already had enhanced hearing and being hungover just made the situation worse.

Even hungover, Loki managed to summon and aim multiple daggers with magic and they flew toward the rowdy men.

“See if we make you breakfast!” Clint whined as he ducked under a table to avoid getting stabbed.

The only one who wasn’t affected was Bucky who had the art of moving silently down to a T. He came over with as many glasses of water as he could carry and began passing them and the good pain drugs out. “C'mon Striga, this’ll help,” he promised you softly and goaded you into sitting up. You whined and mewed and just wanted to close your eyes and sleep forever, but he eventually got you into a sitting position and soon had a glass of water and pain meds in your hands.

Loki gave Bucky a warm smile. “Thank you Sergeant,”

Bucky nodded and handed the bottle of pain meds marked in runes to Loki. “These ones are for you… your brother said the Midgardian medicine doesn’t work on you. He also said ‘Friggadotir’ is the correct form of address?” Bucky replied. He was trying to hard to be proper and show his support of Loki’s current gender by asking Thor how to be supportive. Loki gave him a warm smile and a nod, touched that Bucky was trying. Bucky turned back to your pathetic form and placed one of ht many pair of tinted glasses that were scattered around the tower for you on your nose. “I know it’s only just past dawn, but your eyes are sensitive enough. Its going to be worse hungover…” he told you softly and gently. “Drink your water. Breakfast will be ready soon and then you can go to bed,”

Bucky left you for a moment and returned with plates of eggs and toast for all of you, though there was also bacon on Loki’s plate since she seemed the least hungover of all of you. Lucky Asgardian and her crazy metabolism. “Thank you, Bucky,” she replied, trying out Bucky’s nickname since she considered the man a friend and was tired of being so formal and using his title all the time. She’d have to give him a nickname of his own at some point, but for now he could keep ‘Bucky’

Bucky nodded. “Don’t worry about it, Doll,” he replied without even thinking or realizing what he said. He turned his attention back to where you were staring absently at your plate of food. “Eat, Striga, you’ll feel better. And then you can go to bed with those nice blackout curtains you have,” he told you kindly. You managed to eat the food in front of you without throwing it up. That was a good sign.

Loki moved when you had finished eating and started to pick you up so she could get you to bed. Bucky placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her. “You’re off carrying things duty, remember?” Bucky asked, lightly teasing, his voice kind. “I’ve got Striga. You need to rest too.” Loki seemed to notice that she was a bit unsteady on her feet and allowed Bucky to pick you up instead. “You alright, doll?” Bucky asked, noting Loki’s unsteadiness.

“I might have had a little too much mead last night…” Loki replied sheepishly.

“I think it’s safe to say you all did ” Bucky replied dryly and somehow managed to get you both tucked into your bed. He closed the blackout curtains once you were safely settled in bed and didn’t seem inclined to wander off. “Sleep it off, dolls,” Bucky told you warmly.

Hanahaki is PURELY fanfiction trope and ITS NOT EVEN INTERESTING. Oh your crush doesnt love you back so now you either have to not love them (AS IF FEELINGS COULD BE SURGICALLY REMOVED!) or just fucking die???????????? What??????? (Or take your chances and hope they confess – because somehow fate knows that your love is unrequited, but not when its… not? IS HANAHAKI JUST IN YOUR HEAD? IS IT LIKE WHEN YOU RLY BELIEVE UR PREGNANT SO UR BODY STARTS DOING PREGNANCY STUFF BUT INSTEAD YOU THINK UR AN INCEL?)

I would accept this if in hanahaki AUs humans were like more plant-entwined creatures. Like, are we linked to flowers in some tangible way – hell, some metaphysical way??? Are there ANY OTHER human illnesses that result in some form of manifestation of plants? Why, why not? (Whichever you pick better have a good explanation!!!!) HOW DO FLOWERS GROW IN A HUMANS LUNGS. HEY. HOW DO THEY DO THAT.

Flowers and disease arent esoteric things closely associated with things we can’t be entirely sure are real like destiny or magic! Flowers and disease are well-studied, documented things in our world, we know how they work! “Humans are marked with their soulmate in some way” is fine to me because soul mates aren’t #Confirmed in real life, and ARE something tied to destiny and/or magic (as is every trope involving souls)! Flowers need dirt and light and carbon dioxide. NONE OF THOSE ARE IN YOUR LUNGS! Unless these flowers are made of flesh (WONDERFUL TAKE) then its just too silly. Its just too silly. Unless you go the extra mile and say humans also bleed flowers or that we are born from flowers or that when we’re born our souls are linked to a flower and we must take care of it because if it gets sick so do we and if it dies we die or that humans actually just grow flowers in their lungs normally and thats just part of how we function (still: why. how) and coughing them up is SERIOUSLY INCORRECT HUMAN FUNCTIONING then its just cmmexuakrbxijwfusoj3coedhxhwk because i can accept “because its fate” “because god wills it” “etc as answers for a LOT of tropes but neither fate nor god compel you to cough up flowers it just doesnt make any sense fate and god are very logical agents of creation and universe managing

Its a fanfic trope that was created entirely to facilitate needlessly drawn out angst fics (unrequieted pining is not a trope i enjoy on its own, admittedly, which im sure affects my opinion on this flavor of unrequited pining…) and cliche sad-boy-coughing-up-flowers fanart. Im sorry.

A version i’d be more willing to accept but one i rarely see is "Hanahaki is olden folklore and people think of it the same way they think of vampires” so someone actually gets it and its like shit this is a real thing? But then we cant have the medical procedure because there isnt vampire healthcare either. VAMPIRES STILL MAKE MORE SENSE THAN HANAHAKI THOUGH!!!

ok ok, posting this cause I learned that both ema and Kay make Monty python references and ima make a catalog of what the franmayas nerdy stiff is(shiz wrong ship I know. just roll with it.)

ema:

ema knows and loves tabletop role-playing games and you can't stop me from thinking otherwise.

she's a amazing dm and an amazing player, just a girl boss all around.

she's also read all the white wolf books no cap- and has played gurps once for Kay and the others. never again.

she played through a patched game of vampires the masquerade fully twice and is watching (and "helping") Kay through a game of it. they can't get past the first mission tho cause Kay is just awful at old timy games.

ema has watched Babylon 5, fyerfly, the og starwars trilogy, the og dr.who series, the dr.who series of our time, the first few seasons of startreck(some with Kay some without), and literally any other sci-fi media you can think of.

she likes to de-code and figure out the sciences of these fictional worlds. also her top two are fyrefly and Babylon 5(Kay's are fyrefly and startreck). and she would debate Babylon 5 is better then startreck but that debate with her girlfriend would have no winners.

also she's secretly really into Harry Potter and only Kay and a few others know. Kay is a open super Harry Potter fan(but pirated all the books)

she has played so many horror games. like the lot of them. some classic, some lost to time, some jumpscare simulators. she will play any and all horror games. just don't expect her to be super good with some of the classic shooter ones-

ema watches her play horror games and I swear if they ever invited anyone elts, they would die.

I also think Kay has been apart of some args. like everyman hybrid, but I think she has just been on the side for most of them. mabey figured out a thing or two herself but mostly just enjoyed the ride.

she got ema to join her with one once. ema almost died cause when she wasn't working she would just be unraveling the arg. and that's why ema isn't allowed to do args anymore. (p.s. she almost died just cause she couldn't figure out one of the puzzles and when she came back to it later to see what happened in the arg Kay had to deal with her ranting for 3 hours straight. Kay is the real mvp here.)

Kay knows all the game shops in the city and will stop by monthly to hang out, play a game of magic or two, and convince the owners to show her old stock that won't sell to "take off their hands"

also Kay plays magic the gathering and is a God at it. you cannot change my mind. she plays good, she plays rough, but she also plays dirty.

yes! she has old season cards in her deck!(just form last season, and that arnt that good) and she uses them to win all her battles!!!! she also uses her own shuffling method to make sure she alwase gets a good hand, and another method to make sure her opponent dosent have too good of a start.

she's a nerd about shuffling, you cant change my mind. she hangs with trucy and they will just shuffle cards. it's alwase fun.

Summary: “This is all just one big mistake” Eddie says bashfully, “really? I thought it was kind of cute” he replies pulling the straw to his drink between his lips with a smirk.

“20 places with the best bread- no uh…. 30 things that can be used as a- ugh no…” Eddie glances at his untouched plate of pizza, “15 italian cuiseans to step in- oh my god im so fired” Eddie groans and rakes his nails through his hair setting his laptop aside to stretch alittle in his criss cross pose on his bed.

His boss had given him the weeks lead project meaning come monday his article would be plastered on every social media website and could be shared world wide. Something Eddie had worked hard to earn, he usually had no problem getting fairly favorable acticles out but now his idea bank was bone dry. Perfect timing for writers block. He groans aloud as his usual work playlist starts over again for what feels like the hundreth time a crule reminder of how long hed been sitting there and how little work had gotten done. Eddie loved the classics he really did but he needed something new.

He grabbed for his phone scrolling through bands currently trending puckering his lips so to help him think and focus, something he picked up from his mom watching her paint her nails for so many years.

He sighs through his nose before giving up on his persistent scrolling and just clicking on a random band, pulling a piece of pizza to his lips standing as he took a bite.

Music filled his room a calm bass line starting the song soon followed by drums and- ’god that voice’ he thinks to himself kinda dancing in place to the music.

He knew he had heard the song before over the radio on his way to work but never paid it much mind knowing soon itd become over played and hed hate it. But now that he was listening to it on his own time it actually sounded good. Really good.

He picked up his phone looking at the bands name, ‘Mouth’ Eddie furrows his brows kinda laughing to himself, what kind of band name is Mouth?

Eddie shrugs and sits back nodding his head a little to the song pulling up the band on google as he listened along, choking when he caught a glimpse of the lead and only member on the band, Richie Toizer. His face flushes and he finds himself biting his lip looking at the man on the screen his curls are unruly, his glasses make his eyes at least three times bigger than their actual size, and hes pale for someone living in California. Hes fairly attractive for someone whos stage name is 'mouth’ he wonders why he woukd pick something so dumb to be his alias.

He goes to instagram quickly finding Richies account scrolling through it his crush growing by the second, it should be illegal for someone to be this fine. He looks to his laptop type bar blinking like its beakoning him, he looks back to Richies picture, if life was a cartoon this would be the part a lightbulb would appear above Eddie’s head he smirks to himself sitting back down pulling his laptop back into his lap taking one last bite of pizza.

When Eddie wakes up Tuesday and sees how well his article is doing he just about faints, hes stunned something he wrote, a fluff piece at that, had gotten so much attention.

He opens his notifications for twitter scrolling though noticing a large amout of them are his readers tagging Richie Toizer in the article. He throws his phone and his whole face goes red as he realizes he didnt think this all the way through.

He looks at his alarm clock and for the second time that morning feels like blacking out, he was supposed to be at work 20 minutes ago.

He really is going to get fired.

He rushes into work running past Heather at the receptionist desk who waves to him every morning, “im so sorry Heather ill bring you a bearclaw on Friday!” He yells over his shoulder, booking it up the staires to the second level where his office space resided.

He plops down in his desk chair sighing aloud as he logs onto his mac when a light tapoing comes from beside him, he looks up and smiles. “Hey Bill” he breath out still trying to catch his breath but eventually has to pull out his inhaler from a drawer, “so Mouth huh?” His friend chuckles out from above him. “Oh shut it” Eddie says half joking as he opens several of his social media accounts on his computer digging through thousands upon thousands of notes to see if Richie had responded to any of the posts hed been tagged in. “I c-cant believe you o-openly h-hit on someone in an a-a-article like that.”

“I wasnt hitting on him okay? I was just… Expressing an interest in him thats all.”

“You said he was a sexy vampire” Mike pitches in leaning against the wall of Eddies annex, “-though a local Californian resident Richie Toizer doesnt seem to get sun evident through his gorgeous pale skin. A top his black curls he has the appearance of a sexy vampire. Is what you said to be exact.”

Eddie groans rubbing his hands dowm the whole length of his face exasperated, “okay yes i called him a sexy vampire so-”

“You also pretty much admitted to wanting him in your bed.”

“Okay!” Eddie yelled pushing both his friends out of his workspace “get out get out get out! I feel bad enough i dont need you two giving me greif about this” he says his arms falling to his sides once his friends both finally step put into the hall.

“W-were celebrating tonight, d-dinner a-and a movie m-my place?” Bill asks raising his eyebrows at Eddie whos sighs and smiles before nodding as his friends walk to their own desks.

From where hes standing Eddie hears the small ’ba-ding!’ His phone sounds off when he gets a notification on twitter , he groans and picks it up nervouse that Richie will see what hes done to his good name.

Guess my secrets out that im a vampire B) @Gazebos meet me for lunch sometime? Love to meet you ;)’

His stomach drops and all the blood in his body rushes to his face and he trips without moving, thankfully landing in his swivel chair.

A hand goes to cover his mouth completely fogetting all the germs he could potentially be there, this couldnt be real.

VR vs. Some Very Stern Words

It’s odd what some people get bent out of shape about. Spending your career (I think I can call it that at this point) in an online role means you see plenty of it – and if you’re involved in social media you’re going to see a heck of a lot of it. You’re also going to get a lot of it too. Over the last decade or so I sort of fell into social media as it rose to be a marketing tool and I’ve had all sorts slung at me down the years. Threats, abuse, slightly too interested in my personal life girls (and guys), people ringing up the office to ask the legal team personal questions about me. The works. So, if you’re gonna call me an idiot just know that, well, I’ve had worse. In fact, I’ve said worse about me myself, so, there you go.

Recently there was an interesting two and eight in the comments about a post where a virtual reality (VR) videogame was announced and someone was very angry it was listed on the ‘PSVR feed’ when it was not a PlayStation VR title. The reason why it was tagged as PlayStation VR was because the developers expressly said they had plans to bring the title to Sony’s headset. News about PSVR? That’ll be tagged PSVR then. Except, they insisted, that was news “not relevant” to PlayStation VR at all. Any title could come to PlayStation VR, so we shouldn’t tag that. It was an interesting argument, one I couldn’t understand for the life of me. The developers expressly mentioned Sony’s headset but it isn’t news about it? Huh?

In the end I apparently failed to explain to their satisfaction that, well, 1 = 1 and we’ll obviously tag a story with whatever it is about. Instead I was a jackass who didn’t know what they were talking about and I should take my “condescending attitude” and “shove it up your Mod ass”. Rather un-phased by the whole thing I just responded that “my ass is glorious and majestic. Thank you for noticing.”

And it is. Very.

All of this got me to thinking about another set of comments we once got on VRFocus. Which had me heading over to YouTube to ‘relive’ what is quite possibly the most epic and, frankly, unhinged rant a channel I’ve had a hand in has ever received.

Now, YouTube is as YouTube does at this point – am I right? Being a channel owner on YouTube is like spinning the wheel on Wheel of Fortune. Who knows, you may have a big hit. At the same time the way YouTube is setup and ever changing its own rules you know there’s the chance all your had work will ultimately be for naught and your channel lost to the ages. It’s felt for a while that YouTube’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’ has been adding more and more ‘bankrupt’ sections as the years roll on. It has also been on a bit of a redesign kick in recent months and a Beta of YouTube Studio is waiting in the wings to fundamentally change the back-end experience for YouTube channels. To that end I got thinking about whether or not the aforementioned rant was still there as I’d been ‘saving it’ for a special occasion. In that way Social Media Managers always save messages that prove points or are so outrageous as to be something to discuss at later events, panels or what have you.

This rant was particularly special in that it came, of all things, at the expense of the poor Samsung Gear VR. It’s terrible crime? It launched.

Back on November 23rd 2015 we put up the Gear VR Launch trailer aka “It’s Not A Phone, It’s A Galaxy” as Samsung celebrated the launch of their smartphone-based head mounted display (HMD) and showed both it, and some of the Gear VR experiences that you could enjoy at the time, off.

One man though was very, very angry about this and his name was Chua Neng Lis. I know very little about him. He used to work in a plastics factory in or near Minnesota. He also got very upset about North Korea, America and South Korea once on a CNN video, so I imagine wherever he is now he’s been pretty miffed about the last few months. Lis was not pleased about the situation with the Gear VR at all – especially as he seemed to think he’d come up with the idea in the first place.

I should point out that I’ll be posting the message text as is without changing any punctuation, spelling or presentation.

There is of course something to be said about corporations and capitalism and the ability of the rich and poor to earn a fair living, and on reading the first time I honestly thought up until this point that this is what Lis was trying to convey.

Oh. Okay it wasn’t that at all.

That was just the first of nine messages left on the video by Lis which proceed to get more and more bizarre.

“HOE. WAS TELEPATHY. STEALING MY IDEAS FROM TELEPATHY AND TELEPATHY CHANNEL. OH RIGHT. I CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BUT WAITE. TO KILL YOU AFTER IM DEAD.

AND NOW YOUR TRYING TO STOP THAT. LOL. NOW ASK YOUR GHOSTS THOUGHTS STEALING FROM. YOU. IS IT EASY OR HARD TO KILL ME AFTER IM DEAD. OR ALIVE.”

Whose ghosts? Ours? Samsung’s? I should point out that no he’s not referring to ghosts as in spooks/spies, but actual ghosts. It seems Lis has a BIG thing about ghosts. Also vampires. According to him America is full of cults and vampires. I blame Buffy. She’s slacking off.

“AND THATS STILL NOT VIRTUAL REALITY. YOUR USEING THAT DEVICE TO STEAL MORE IDEAS. FROM PEOPLES BRAINS AND HEADS. EVEN USEING AND STEALING OLD DATA AND INFORMATION. YOU ALL TOOK PART HACKED. AND STOLED. INTO YOUR OWN MINDS BRAINS AND DATA. TO ACT OUT LIKE ITS YOURS. WHEN YOU KNOW IN YOUR BRAIN AND MIND. ITS NOT YOURS. EVEN IF YOU WOULD. “LIKE”. TO THINK SO.

OH YEAH. ASK YOUR GOVERNMENT. “GHOSTS”.

THEY KNOW I CAN KILL YOU. USEING THAT DEVICE.

NOW HOW ABOUT THAT ARE YOU GOING TO STEAL. AND UPLOAD WHAT I JUST SAY AND SAID. AND MY BRAIN. UP TO THAT DEVICE ALSO TO. CONTROL AND KILL THOSE PEOPLE AND MINDS.”

He can kill ghosts with VR? Literal ghosts working for or with the Government?

“yeah i can kill you with that device of yours. AND IM NOT JOKEING.”

Well, that clears that up at least.

Yoda’s changed a lot over the years, hasn’t he?

So if you’re keeping track on this and I can’t blame you if you’re not. Either we, Samsung or the American Government (I assume) are in league with the undead who are stealing minds potentially via VR which isn’t VR and he invented it.

Well, no… I mean you’re kind of telling everyone your thoughts via a YouTube comments section. Not really the same thing as telepathy.

Incidentally though reader, those thoughts you’ve been having? Demonetised.

Ah, there are the vampires I mentioned earlier. And yes, he also has something of an issue with homosexuality too. Because clearly we needed some issues with homophobia in the rant as well.

Well, er, I think killing us all off because Gear VR launched is a bit over the top. I mean, why can’t you just write a grumpy petition on Change.org?

I won’t go into the next bit too much because he just descends into ranting about whoever his targets are at this point being gay and getting their comeuppance (I guess?) by being violated by the supernatural. Needless to say, it all comes to a universe redefining climax with the inadvertently hilarious phrase-

“SPIRITS. UP THE BUTT HOLE FOR YOUU. FOO;”

And to prove I’m not making this all up…

Yes, these did get reported by the way and I’m very much hoping someone got to speak to them.

But when you get upset with me or us online just bear this in mind: I’m really not that phased, and that’s because honestly you are not in the same league as someone like this guy. Hell, you aren’t even in the same dimension, probably. And here you were thinking people getting bent out of shape over exclusivity periods was over the top.

Project 1

Hey guys its your girl Alia Collazo, im 18 years and im going to talk to you guys about my experience with reading. The first time that I learned how to read was when I was probably in kindergarten. My teachers probably had me read books by Dr.Seuss. It was probably very boring to me considering that I was always getting in trouble for not sitting still when I shouldve been reading. After I learned how to read, my brothers got me into comic books. I was always a huge X-Men fan, some people are not so much into that anymore which is baffling. My favorite characters were jean grey and cyclopse even though people like wolverine more. My mom wasnt to happy about her daughter reading boy stuff, so she tried to get me into learning books, which consisted of trying to learn how to play the guitar which I am awful, like seriously your ears would bleed if you heard me play it.

Now as ive gotten older I havent been to into reading as much, I dont have time to just sit and read any book that interests me. If I do read though, it would have to be a book that catches my eye. When I was in school the books that I was always assigned to read were always boring to me. One of the books that I was once assigned was the Great Gatsby, I was a little excited about that because I knew that we were gonna watch the movie and that Leonardo DiCaprio was gonna be in it and who doesnt love him. My sister was really hooked on the twilight series, you know the whole vampire and werewolf love triangle. Ive always been team Edward but everyone else favors Jacob which I think is stupid since hes a crybaby.

When I was in middle school, my school had an event every year call fine arts night. Fine arts night was basically a small art show but in the show we we had to read our very own books that we had made. We would start working on the books two months before the event to make sure that they were perfect. The first fine arts night that I was in was in the third grade and my book was basically a knockoff of Peter Pan, but I did make the story almost all about Tinkerbell. The last one that I was in was when I was in the eighth grade and I wrote a teen drama. Basically the book was about a teenage girl going through family problems and along the way she runs into trouble with a boy who shes dating. Â

When youre in the moment of writing you dont realize how much thats affecting you. In the process of it, I definitely did not enjoy it but I had to do it for a grade. Im glad that my teachers kind of made this a requirement because if werent for them, honestly I dont think I would love it as much as I do now.

With that being said, I can only consider myself a writer, if I know Im good at what im writing. I cant write an essay or a short novel and call myself a writer because I know Im not good at that. I would consider myself a writer when it comes to me writing poems. The only poems that I can write though would have to be sad ones or angry ones. I cant write about anything happy because it would just come out like I was lying or I would end up laughing at myself.

When I was in high school, my senior year, my school held a writing contest. I came in second place, and I wrote a poem. My poem was about my life and my family. My best friend also submitted a poem and he came in third place, his poem was about a pencil. I know right, he thinks hes so cool because his poem was different, Im just kidding. His poem was actually really good, like I still read it to this day. There was also a junior who came in first place and she wrote about black lives matter, and Im so glad she did that because she knew she had a chance to speak her mind on the subject because everyone else in the school never spoke of it.

Another thing would be social media. I had never realized that social media also had a writing effect on me. I was never allowed to have any type of social media, so I would always hide one from my family, that got me grounded like a lot. I used social media as a diary in some cases. When I would go online and write my statuses on Facebook, I never realized that this was considered writing technically. Soon I got a Twitter and when it comes to Twitter, your tweets have to be really good or else people wont like them, but I always tweeted dumb stuff as well just to piss everyone off.

On Twitter I wouldnt use it like how I had used Facebook. With Twitter I used it as my canvas for poetry in a way. The people and accounts that I had followed were always writing deep and meaningful things so I thought that I had to do the same. The same thing with Tumblr. I had made a Tumblr when I was in the seventh grade and really Tumblr back then was mostly gifs or gifs, however you say it, and boybands all over the website. My Tumblr was all poetry, whether it was my own or another writers.

Now that I am older I dont use those social media sites anymore, ive realized that most of my writing has again came from school but this time personal writing as well. When I say personal writing I dont necessarily mean that every night I would write down what had happened to me that day in a diary. I mean that anything that was going on in my life, whether it be negative or positive, I would always try to make it into a poem. I have a lot of family drama and instead of me keeping my feelings about it all inside, I put my pen to the paper and wrote about it. Writing definitely helped relieve the stress that I was dealing with.

I feel like everybody who knows how to read or write started out like I did. Everybody may not have been through some of the things that I was in like the writing of their own small school book or writing their feelings everyday, and thats cool to me. Im glad that everyone can experience writing in different ways and that they are able to enjoy it just as much as I do.
