What’s the Aidrien alone au? I looked back through you tag bug couldn’t figure out what was going on whoops

Adrien alone au is mostly an au that has Adrien Hated instead of loved.

Mostly that Chloé HATES him and the Agreste family. So Chloé made it her mission to ruin his life.

Adrien gets framed for the gum incident but never corrects it because Nino never suggested it and Adrien had no idea what to do in that situation. Since the class pretty much wants to avoid Chloé’s wrath.

Since Adrien never corrects the gum incident, Marinette never falls in love with him, and actually still dislikes him for a while. Alya standing by her home girl, doesn’t bother with him either. Which means the only two people willing to stand up to Chloé don’t help Adrien out.

Adrien becomes more isolated and his optimism shrinks. His only escape is Chat noir.

(That’s more or less the premise)

Miraculous Ladybug: Felix

So it’s been a long, long while since I caught up with the Ladybug show, but YouTube recommended the PV to me tonight and I just want to say:

I think the Duality present in Felix’s character would have made me way more interested in the show.

I mean it would be fascinating to see how Felix is usually so stuck-up and all but finally gets to let loose at Chat Noir. I think it’s a safe bet to say, he turned out this way because of his father. We get that a bit with Adrien, sure, but Aidrien is just a bit shy. That’s it. (Which is understandable y’know dead mom, distant father and all that). Dare I say he is doing quite ok.

But Felix is so intriguing to me because he isn’t ok. He seems to have embraced the strict standards Gabriel poses to him. Sure it’s extreme and cliche but it would force the show to actually focus on our main cast’s psyche, something I don’t think it does enough. The designs are awesome and the world building is good in LB but character wise? I lost interest in the show because it’s characters weren’t focused on enough.

With thisFelix we could have had so many interesting plot-points. What exactly are his morals? ( I assume he is still on the side of good but maybe a bit more morally grey?) Assuming eh has been so calm and collected for so long, how does it feel like finally letting loose as Chat Noire? How far does this go? What if he is completely untamed at first? (I mean look at him, running on four legs) He holds nothing back, not a thought is left unsaid and his fighting style is wild and feral. We could have some serious character development, where as in the beginning Felix keeps Chat and himself completely separate, (maybe arguing that since he is basically channeling Plath, his personality may have shifted, which is of course bs but it could hold enough merit for him to want to believe it) but then he slowly starts acknowledging this side of him actually exists. It starts dripping over in his personal life, when he actually starts beeing nice just because it’s the right thing to do. And as Chat Noir, he starts to become more precise and strategical improving in fighting. In the end he starts seeing that he actually likes the person he is, when he is nice and heroic, but also still thoughtful. He develops into a character that truly has the best of both worlds. He isn’t Felix Agreste or Chat Noire anymore, he is truly the best version of himself. And that’s when Ladybug starts to fall in love with him.

Talking of Ladybug, his relationship with her would feel more meaningful to me too. In the actual series, it’s pretty obvious why he likes her. Adrien is a nice, shy boy he likes a nice strong lady. But in PV? It left me wondering. Adrien seems to be quite stuck-up and maybe even an edge lord. He also gives me the vibes, that when it comes to booksmarts he is way more advanced than LB. So why does he respect her and love her so? What draws him in? Is it how balanced she is? That she is on a path because she chose it and nobody forced it? Her maturity? There are so many different routes you can got with that.

The show could flesh him out much more, making the romance more investing. It could also play into the Yin-Yang Aspect of their powers. Luck and destruction/beeing unlucky. Perfect balance and absolutely disharmony (at first.) But they overcome it and become both better people by the end.

I heard they made an episode on Felix, so maybe I can check that out.

7. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

In his youth, he played smashball (a type of ball game that is reputed to be violent*) so watching it or seeing it brings back memories of his teen years and very early twenties as a Jedi Initiate. Times spent with his friends were the best parts of his mostly troubled youth.

20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

"Platonic love is setting aside time for each other and being there for one another when you need each other. It's equal respect and appreciation.

Familial love should be about equal respect as well. Though, it should also be about unconditional acceptance and support for each other.

Romantic love is all of the above with the addition of trust. Trust that you can be yourself entirely and trust that you can offer the same for your partner."

38. What memory do they revisit the most often?

The moment he first arrived on Tython and saw the Jedi Temple and it's training grounds from the air. It made him awed, excited, and in rare fashion for a 21 y/o Aidrien, humbled. When he returned from the Emperor's fortress, he recalled that memory often as he went through his personal journey to be a better person and a better Jedi Knight. It gave him purpose and direction.

* about smashball... the two entires about it on wookieepedia just describe it as popular team sport that is violent. Personally, I choose to imagine it as being a full-contact sport similar to say rugby or American football but idk how accurate that is to it's creator's idea.

16: Which one gives the other their jacket?

Technically speaking... Theron is the only one between them that owns a jacket! I figure that Theron might occasionally part with his beloved jacket. And Rien loves that jacket for a litany of reasons. It’s so iconically Theron right down to the lingering scent of him.

However, not to be out done, if Rien happens to come across Theron conked out on a sofa or something, he’ll drape his cloak over him as a substitute blanket.

This question really makes me want to see what an outfit swap would look like...

22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?

Theron is way more likely to crack jokes and by extension, make bad puns. Aidrien doesn't hate puns but they would certainly elicit an inward sigh, or an eye-roll.

24: Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired?

Aidrien, probably dragging Theron to bed.

What good is all that exercise if you can’t carry your boyfriend around anyway?

I cut this because question 10 is kinda long and 31 is n/sfw-ish so... anyway...

2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?

Aidrien: “Complex, incredibly intelligent, headstrong, but also the most devoted and caring man I’ve met.”

Theron: “Reckless, stubborn, brave, and a better person than he gives himself credit for.”

10. Write a ~300 word argument scene for them.

“Hey!” Theron’s voice called out to Rien as he passes the mouth of the corridor. “What the hell are you thinking!”

“I’m thinking about what the easiest solution is” is the reply, placing his hands on his hips and staring up into Theron’s eyes.

“Easiest way to die maybe!”

An Imperial trooper suddenly walks briskly between them, causing them both to step back from each other. Rien shook his head and continues walking.

“Hey I’m not done!” Theron called after him as he follows him into The Commander’s quarters.

Rien sighed. There was no running from this conversation again.

“What is this about Theron? I could tell you wanted to say something in the war room.”

He observes as the fight seems to leave Theron. Replaced by... worry? Rien was rarely able to tell with him. The implants in Theron’s cranium made him immune to even the most surface level of telepathic probing.

“You’re doing it again. Just leaping into battle and risking yourself. I-“ He pauses, he’s jittery. These types of conversations are always difficult for him. Theron places a hand on his hip and drags the other down across his face frustratedly. “I- I can’t loose you again. Please.” The rawness of emotion causing him to avoid Rien’s gaze.

Rien could feel the defensiveness seep from him, his shoulders slumping as he lets out a long exhale. Moving closer to Theron, lifting a hand to cup his lover’s cheek.

“Hey. Hey, look at me…” Theron let his face be guided back to Rien’s “ … I’m sorry. I know you don’t like it. I just don’t know what else can be done, and I won’t let anyone else risk themselves for me. I can only promise to be careful.” He lightly strokes his thumb across Theron’s cheek as he speaks.

“Promise?” Shan’s voice is soft and raw.

“Promise.”

24. What is something they have each had to forgive the other for?

Well the obvious answer would be Umbara. Though Rien has had to forgive Theron for his aloofness after Yavin 4. On the flip side, Rien has had to beseech Theron’s forgiveness for the multitude of sins he had committed over the coarse of his early career. He is not ashamed of what he did, though he regrets them. As such he felt he had to tell Theron for full transparency.

While they haven’t exactly reached forgiveness for it yet, Theron and Rien’s marriage has been slightly strained by Rien’s decision to accept a seat on Gnost-Dural’s Jedi Council. They aren’t sure what it means for their relationship. Rien made the choice without consultation with Theron. While Rien is adamant that he is committed to him, Theron is beginning to feel that Rien is choosing his career as a Jedi over him, and it worries him. It always has.

31. What do they love to do after sex?

Wrap each other in a warm embrace and either talk or enjoy in each other’s company until sleep consumes them or they have the energy to get up. If it’s the latter (the next morning, in the case of the former) Rien’s desire is for food. He’ll usually cook the both of them something large and filling (Gotta get the calories in for the next round 👀). Theron on the other hand likes to sleep in or take a nap, which Rien is happy to let him do while he cooks.

4. are there any class combat styles you love, but can’t deal with on the mirrored version?

I wouldn’t say that I love playing Bodyguard Merc, but Combat Medic Commando bothers me so much for such a stupid reason. Having big beams of kolto shoot out from an assault cannon looks so silly to me, I hate it. My brain does not compute this choice of animation design!

8. what single line is your favourite piece of dialogue in-game? where is it from?

Ohh... wow that’s a big question.

I’m not sure if it’s my single favourite but I remember Orgus says, when you rescue him on Alderaan, something to the effect of; “If that thing eats us, you’re fired.” That line always amuses me greatly. The dry delivery of it is what gets me.

20. what five companions would you pick, from all of them, if you had to make a new crew?

Again, a tough question.

I’m going to take a very sly way out of answering this one... So, with Onslaught, my Knight Aidrien rejoins The Republic, and takes a seat on The Jedi Council. Assuming he were to leave Odessen behind and return to being ‘just a guy’ type of gig, I would have him take:

Theron Shan

Tau Idair

Arn Peralun

Technically Tau and Arn are companions. Temporary, but they are/were companions. I feel like this is pretty much the best team going forward storywise. Also, if BW were ever to revert to the old companion combat system, I’d be set with a diverse group. T7 and Theron are ranged dps, Arn is melee dps, Lana is the healer, and Tau is the tank!

9. Do they empathize with non-sentient things (dolls, plants, books…)?

This is an interesting question. In general, I would say no, with an exception. Plants, as all of nature, are a part of The Living Force, thus while not sentient they are very certainly alive. So he would feel empathy for plants and nature given that they are living and something he as a Jedi can feel and connect with. Death of nature is like death of sentient beings. It’s absence can be felt. It’s that clear connection with The Living Force which contributes to his love of the outdoors.

6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?

Satele Shan is 100% the person he trusts for guidance over most any other influence in his life. Later that role falls to Theron and Lana as his advisors but even then, his respect for Satele would probably outweigh their advice, maybe...(?)

A person he won’t take advice from? Well, he’s less likely to take his own advice half the time... Overall though, I don’t think there’s anyone who’s advice he wouldn’t consider at least. I guess I could take the cheap shot and say Vitiate/Valkorian? Scourge in some small capacity is someone he doesn’t strictly listen to for advice as often Scourge can be quite cold, however there are *rare* moments he will take Scourge’s advice into consideration.

Having aspects of his past brought up, both good and bad. The way he acted as a young man embarrasses him as a mature adult. However, people talking about about his accomplishments also makes him very uncomfortable now. That or bringing up the moments he does something stupid and there's plenty of those, even now.

Galactic City baby!

Touching down on Coruscant, Aidrien is already getting headhunted to help the politicians in their rebuilding efforts. More importantly though is the pressing issue of plans for a prototype superweapon called “The Planet Prison” that have been stolen by The Migrant Merchants Guild.

After a nice run around the Old Galactic Market, we learn the stolen plans were given to Black Sun. Returning to the senate Tower, our chief investigator SIS Agent Galen tells us Super Weapon’s lead scientist Doctor Tarnis gets captured. Kira Carsen is in over her head and Rien and T7 rush to her aid. I have to say I love the banter dialogue options between the knight and Kira. It’s how I feel their relationship would be considering their ages (Kira being 20 and Rien being 21)

The thugs tell them Tarnis is in The Black Sun Territory of Coruscant, a level of gangland crime. When Rien reports to Agent Galen, he finds Masters Orgus and Kiwiiks with General Var Suthra of the Republic Military fretting the leaking of a number of other secret superweapon testing locations across the Galaxy. As the Jedi Masters and Agent Galen leave to protect the Superweapons on different worlds, Rien and Kira must infiltrate Black Sun with the help of Coruscant Security.

Breaking in to Black Sun’s headquarters, they learn the shocking truth. Doctor Tarnis is a Sith Lord. Lord Tarnis abandons his former Black Sun associates to Rien and the security force. Once defeated, Rien swears that Tarnis will pay for his betrayal

Honestly Coruscant for The Knight is pretty one note... sure it has some twists but I think overall it’s a pretty dull time. I have found more interesting things to HC and write about around the Planetary Arc, Side Missions, and Exploration Quests. I’ll discuss them in another post but at the half way point of the Saga of The Planet Prison;

As with Tython, I consider this story taking place over a few days, about 4 or 5 maybe? So with that in mind I think I might write some in-between scenes to develop Rien’s thoughts... maybe lol

I’m enjoying Rien and Kira’s joking dynamic. Rien might be a Knight in title but he has about the maturity of a Padawan like Kira.
