finally figured out a Bdubs design! not sure if i'm happy with it yet but oh well! he is extremely glare coded to me but like in a scary shadow creature way and I love that for him <3

their magical girl series would be called "Road to Happiness" bc they're all paths and they're all paths bc of that AND because path is a root word relating to emotion and shit (i thought i was so smart piecing that together)

#we finally painted the exterior of our house. bought it over three years ago and it needed so much work #but we finally got enough done that it made sense to paint. #since it all took so long we had pleeeeeenty of time to pick a color #i painted huge swatches on the back of the house and we stared at them for over a year #i was terrified of picking something ugly lol im not a designer and my wife DEFINITELY isnt #but anyway ever since we had it painted a few weeks ago I've been OBSESSED WITH IT #it literally looks so fucking good like SOOOO GOOD #we picked the PERFECT COLOR. its blue but its not too dark and not too light #not too saturated and not too gray. a tiny hint of green but not a lot #it looks amazing with the red brick of the chimney and the reddish stain on our front door #it looks amazing with the green of all my wife's plants in the garden #it looks amazing in every lighting at every hour of the day #well someone just showed up at my door like 'hi i live in the neighborhood and we're gonna paint our house' #and 'my wife and i love this color and i was wondering if you remember the name of it' #YES. YES I DO REMEMBER THE NAME OF IT. 😍 #i mean every neighbor we talk to is like 'omg it's so good!' but this is a guy who I've never seen #he must be on a different street so they just see it when they drive by since we're on the corner #sorry i just feel so satisfied right now lmao

been playing dredge! i really love it

Playing vanilla Minecraft for the first time in a while for the new 1.20 update and I know this isn't a new feature, but- holy shit I haven't had this much fun exploring cave systems in vanilla Minecraft since I did it for the first time as a seven year old

#not jojo related #usually i get very bored with vanilla minecraft fast which is why i play with modpacks. but the caves are extremely fun now #i love how it mimics real cave systems and formations now #and they're huge it feels like a labyrinth #and the underground biomes are just amazing #i can go down there and get stacks and stacks of stuff and come back up in a completely different opening than the one i entered #the only thing i have to say is that it's kind of annoying there are so many decoration blocks with no other purpose #geodes are very fun to find but not very useful... same for all the plant life #the betweenlands (which is a 10/10 mod IMO) was really good with giving all of its little features a function #every plant and animal and random block had a use save for a couple of craftable/findable decoration blocks #and it had backpacks and stuff so your inventory almost never got clogged #i wish vanilla minecraft was more like betweenlands NGL. not the boss fights and stuff necessarily but more its design structure

thinking. about the things I love the most about sonic. and how those have all been almost absent since unleashed. and how obvious it is that sonic team has been fucking terrified of doing anything interesting with their games since. and just. god. god. please, please let sonic frontiers be good. please let it be what I want from this series. please let it be successful. please let it push sonic team to push sonic again. I love these games so much. I want them to be good so badly.

#I love the scale I love the over the top plots and giant eldritch bosses and the gods and aliens and the grandiose adventures #I love the characters I love playing as different characters I love seeing them all interact #I love exploring every nook and cranny of the levels I love finding hidden one ups and special stages and items #I love sonic the hedgehog so much. I want it to feel heartfelt the way it used to #colours and generations and lost world are all so bland. boom tried to be a reboot but it nuked the characters #(nevermind the games barely releasing given the development hell the team went through) #forces was a step in the right direction with its massive cast and massive plot and the villain team #but it fell short in so many ways #banking on nostalgia w ghz and chemical plant and classic sonics whole existence #weak level design and control carried over from colours #the plot falling short - shadow is never fought. chaos is never fought. infinite is kind of boring then dies. zavok is here #none of the supporting cast do anything but talk at you. tails gets his entire sa1 and 2 arc just undone #it could have been good. yknow? it could have been so much MORE. but it's not #the animation is stiff. the cutscenes look bad. everything about the climax of the game. no pre rendered cutscenes. #I need frontiers to be good. I need it to be good and I need it to have a soul. I need it to say something. #I need it to have a reason to exist. #just. god.
